(Objective) Jujube is one of the cash crops in northern Shaanxi. Understanding the suitable areas and conditions for its growth is important to its sustainable production but is currently lacking. This paper is to fill this knowledge gap. (Method) The analysis is based on GIS; the suitability for jujube growth in different areas is analyzed using the geographical detector model. (Result) 1 The suitability for jujube growth decreases progressively from the east and south to the northwest of the region, with the optimal area and sub-optimal area concentrated in Fu county. Suitable areas with large jujube planting are mainly in the districts and counties along the western region of the Yellow River. 2 Climatic and topographic factors combine to greatly influence the suitability of jujube, and their effects are nonlinearly confounded. 3 Annual precipitation, elevation and annual accumulative temperature (≥10 °C) are the main factors controlling suitability for jujube growth, and the suitability index is negatively correlated with annual precipitation and annual accumulated temperature, and positively with elevation. 4 Annual precipitation, elevation and annual accumulated temperature explain 22%, 15% and 11% of the suitability index, respectively, and the comprehensive interpretation rate reaches 78%.(Conclusion)The suitability for jujube growth in northern Shaanxi province decreases from the southeast to the northwest; developing jujube industry or forest ecosystem in this region should consider the jointed effects of annual precipitation, elevation and annual accumulated temperature. Nanoscale zero-valent iron（nZVI） is a kind of widely-concerned environmental remediation material，which expands the application scope of iron-based materials in site remediation and pollutant removal because it has both the reactive activity of nanoscale materials and the reductive property of zero-valent iron. Although nZVI is more effective，the more complex preparation process leads to increased environmental footprint and production costs，the preparation method of nZVI is becoming a key constraint to its development. The paper introduced the development of nZVI and carded the various preparation methods and characteristics of nZVI from the perspective of sustainable development. Furthermore，this paper examined the potential environmental consequences resulting from the preparation process of nZVI. On this basis，the sustainability of typical nZVI preparation was assessed，and potential unsustainable factors were quantified，highlighting the dependence of the preparation process on electrical energy sources. Based on the existing researching，the large-scale and potential methods of preparation of nZVI were prospected，such as laser ablation. Moreover，it illustrated the importance of choosing reasonable preparation method，emphasizing the indispensable position of the sustainability assessment of nZVI in the future development. It is hoped to provide a reference for researchers and policy makers in the selection and improvement of nZVI preparation methods.

Under the leadership of the Chinese presidency, the second part of the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) adopted 62 decisions, in particular Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework(KM-GBF), which is based on the theory of transformative changes. KM-GBF, its achievements, gaps, and lessons learned, and the experience and achievements of other relevant multilateral environmental agreements, sets out an ambitious plan to implement broad-based action to bring about a transformation in our societies' relationship with biodiversity by 2030, and draws a new blueprint for global biodiversity governance. This paper provides an interpretation of the three core targets of the framework — the “3030 target” for protected areas, resource mobilisation, and digital sequence information of genetic resources, a brief introduction to the relevant decisions to ensure the implementation of the framework, and recommendations for future conservation actions in China: (1) To strengthen the mainstreaming of biodiversity conservation. Revision of China's Biodiversity Conservation Strategy and Action Plan(2011-2030) is an opportunity to involve the whole government and society in the process and to take action to promote the goals and targets of the KM-GBF; (2) To further develop detailed conservation plans, clarify the scopes, purposes and management measures of conservation areas, and implement responsible authorities and specific measures for implementing the plans. Researches on the Other Effective area-based Conservation Measures (OECMs) are needed to incorporate into the management system for biodiversity conservation; (3) To develop an operational indicator system and monitoring plan in accordance with the monitoring requirements of the framework targets; (4) To continue to strengthen awareness and education on biodiversity conservation, raise public awareness and attention to biodiversity conservation, and promote sustainable production and sustainable consumption in society as a whole; (5) To promote international cooperation vigorously to explore and promote Nature-based Solutions on a larger scale, and find pathways for economic and social development that have positive and beneficial effects on nature. The northern part of Zhangqiu district in Jinnan City has developed a thick sedimentary formation from the late Paleozoic to the Cenozoic. In this district, relatively well-developed fault structures and magmatic rocks provide good geothermal conditions. Abundant geothermal resources have been discovered in the study area, with three geothermal wells located near the fault zone. Therefore, establishing the genesis model of geothermal resources is significant for their future sustainable development and utilization. Based on hydrochemical and isotopic data of the study area, hydrochemical characteristics, water-rock interaction process, recharge source and formation age of geothermal water have been analyzed in this study. Besides, the elevation of the recharge area, thermal reservoir temperature, and depth of hot water circulation have also been calculated. Research findings show that geothermal water in the study area is composed of Cl·SO4-Na·Ca or SO4·Cl-Ca·Na, whose hydrochemical components mainly come from water-rock dissolution in the similar hydrogeochemical process. The source of water recharge is supplied by atmospheric precipitation, at an elevation from +563 m to +616 m. The 14C apparent age ranges from 5.55 ka to 29.71 ka. The geothermal water is mixed with modern water and ancient water. The chalcedony temperature scale shows that the temperature of geothermal reservoir is at 41.9-52.4 °, with the circulation depth of geothermal water at 622-1,565 m. The study area is a small-opened karst hot reservoir with deep circulation, during which geothermal water is heated up. Formation and enrichment of geothermal water are significantly controlled by fault structures. The Warka Water Tower is an innovative and sustainable solution to the chronic drinking water problems confronting rural southern Ethiopia by integrating local knowledge and resources, prospective design and ancient traditions. This paper presents how the Warka Water Tower "extracts" water from thin air to provide alternative water to rural African residents who have little access to drinking water. The work maximizes the regional beauty, combines modern technology and low cost, excavates traditional culture, activates regional potential, achieves the comprehensive influence of public art on specifc communities, and improves the social utility of public art.
