This article identifies the effect of trust, brand awareness, and social piety before doing donation using the Fintech platform. Therefore, this explanatory research examined the influence of four variables. The data were collected through a purposive sampling technique involving 250 societies across Lombok Island as respondents, as well as applying a case study approach. The data analysis technique is implemented through SEM (Structural Equation Modelling). The article shows a positive and significant impact among trust, brand awareness, and social piety in donation decisions through the fintech platform. However, brand awareness and trust do not affect social piety. Hence, this article recommends the fundraising institutions that actively collect funds through fintech platforms to always prioritize the openness principle in managing public funds. A transparent attitude can increase public trust to utilize the platform whenever they want to channel funds spontaneously.

Since the invitation to Allah is regarded as the most graceful trait of Muhammad's followers. The content of the research in this study is the levels of morality in the true Islamic Sharia, as this is done by following the noble Qur’anic verses that indicate moral levels, as well as the case with those mentioned in the blessed Sunnah, where each topic is analyzed. Taking into account the words of the infallible (peace be upon him) and providing researchers with all relevant opinions. The research included a number of demands related to moral levels, especially in piety, patience, honesty, loyalty and forgiveness, preceded by an introduction, and the most important results of the research were the following: This is due to the great interest in it on the part of the Book of God Almighty and the hadiths of his Prophet and his guardians. We also find in addition to the fact that the scholars have invested the Qur’anic verses and texts related to this, we see them deduce the sayings of the blessed Sunnah, as well as the sayings of the Companions, and the rest of the scholars to be evidence of what they mention and support their argument. To veil and wear a proper dress are among the commands of Allah to Muslim women, stipulated in several verses in the Quran. The term hijab or jilbab is the most important term related to that issue. In Indonesia, wearing a hijab is identical to Muslim women’s identity and reflects their piety. However, when one decides to unveil, the negative stigma is unavoidable. This article examines women’s perception of the Quran on veiling command based on two aspects. To begin with, the women’s understanding of the encouragement of wearing hijab and the women’s perception of the verses after deciding to put off their veil. In this study, the theory of religious piety and identity is applied as a conceptual framework and discursive analysis as a method of analysis. This study will present a discursive analysis of women’s understanding of the veiling concept. Particularly on their motivation for wearing hijab, veiling experience, and unveiling reason.

Community empowerment takes a long time and an appropriate strategy to achieve success. Moreover, innovation delivered constitutes the regulations restricting the empowered community’s moving space. This research generally portraits pamali (taboo) strategy in conducting community empowerment and particularly aims to study local wisdom value in building the piety of Kampung Naga community. The research was conducted using phenomenological descriptive qualitative approach with an interactive technique of analysis. Data collection was carried out through interview, observation, and documentation. The result of research showed that innovation constituting local wisdom made by Kampung Naga community’s ancestor could build piety in three domains: spiritual, social, and environment. Through those three pieties, Kampung Naga community becomes a powerful Islam community in archipelago nuance and becomes Islam community that is rahmatan lil alamin.

This article analyzes the emergence of contemporary Islamic movement in Indonesia, especially in Kajian Musawarah community that massively do da’wah from hijrah celebrity group. Da’wah movement will be blossom through technology movement. This article examines how popularity as part to drive contemporary da’wah. This study important to see how celebrities position themselves as a new religion authority that evoke the spirit of contemporary da’wah, both online and offline. Besides, this article 5also to see how hijrah celebrity popularity appears as piety identity. This study also examines how new media unite all Muslim through imagined community. This article was made through observation on Instagram and youtube Kajian Musawarah and also supported with literature studies. The result of this study shows that hijrah celebrity popularity supports appearing da’wah movement in a celebrity group. Besides, Kajian Muswarah encourages the formation of virtual umma and imagined communities through new media.

Abstract: Common people played an important role in ancient Egyptian religion, especially through which is known "popular religion" and "personal piety" , which had wide spread from New kingdom period onwards. One of the important places in which common people performed their cult and did their daily rites were some chapels which is called "xnw". The Khenow chapels were built through streets and lanes in cities and villages, it had simple plane, and contained a statue or a stela of the god who was worshiped inside it. Through texts and excavations we knew little information about some khenow chapels such as: *Khenow the king Ramesses II. * Khenow Ptah. * Khenow Amon-Re. * Khenow Keserty. * Khenow Horemakhet.

İnsanoğlunun toplum halinde yaşamaya başladığı günden beri en çok tartışılan konulardan biri ahlak, diğeri ise dinin ahlakla olan ilişkisi olmuştur. Bazı filozoflara ve düşünürlere göre din ahlaktan etkilenmiştir. Diğer bir kısmına göre ise ahlak dinden etkilenmiştir. Yeni üçüncü bir anlayışa göre ise din ve ahlak konusu birbirlerinden bağımsız iki yapıdır. Varlıklarını devam ettirebilmek için başka bir yapıya ihtiyaçları yoktur. Ahlak konusu hem Batı da hem de İslam dünyasında yoğun olarak tartışılan önemli konulardandır. Batıda akıl temelli birçok ahlak anlayışı ortaya çıkarken İslam dünyasında ise din temelli bir ahlak anlayışı ortaya konulmuştur.İslam dünyasında düşünceleriyle öne çıkan ve kendisinden sonraki kuşakları etkileyen şahıslardan biride İbn Arabî’dir. Ona göre din ve ahlak aynı memeden süt emen ikiz kardeş gibidir. Bunların beslendikleri nokta aynıdır. Beslendikleri nokta ise vahiydir. Ahlakın bir kısmı kazanılırken bir kısmı da doğuştan getirilmektedir. Bazı ahlakî davranışların gelişmesi ve geçirgenliği mümkün iken bazı davranışlar için bu durum söz konusu değildir. Bu makalede İbn Arabî’nin ahlak anlayışını ve ahlakın din ile olan ilişkisi ve ahlakın temellendirilmesi konusu ele alınmıştır.

Islam endows with 'Human honor and Dignity' to all man and woman and provides direction and guidelines to all mankind so that they protect the rights of each other and admire the respect and honor of humans. The focus of the present research is also to demonstrate that protection of honor and dignity is a significant objective of life. The denotation of 'honor' and 'dignity' according to the Quranic and prophetic perspective is emphasized in this research. In the preservation of human personal honor, dignity and other rights, Shariah evidences from Quran and Sunnah are explored with the perspective of highlighting the emphasis on Shariah on this aspect of religion, which is also one of the dimensions of Maqasid I Shariah as well. The paper concludes with the note that human beings should endure the "best moral and ethical values" of mercy, faith, compassion, justice, piety, and also with the fear of abusing one’s honor and status in the society.

Recently, scholars of Islamic studies have become increasingly interested in the human body. Yet, the literary appearance of the body in different genres has not been studied in detail yet. The present article aims to demonstrate that the Islamic tradition has employed the human body as a mirror that reflects visually and physically various concepts and aspects of human characteristics. This article scrutinizes various genres and written formats with a specific focus on the body as it appears in legal and literary texts that became best sellers in the Ottoman Empire, including hagiographical works, heroic narratives, physiognomy books, and romances. This includes not only the texts originally produced in Turkish, but also the widely known and read texts translated from Arabic and Persian into Turkish. These texts demonstrate the various ways that the body was used as a platform on which, and through which, certain values could be displayed. As we have seen, while legal texts understand the body as a mirror that reflects one’s piety and/or sinfulness in both this world and hereafter, for literary genres the human body is a mirror through which one’s good or bad personal traits, faith, sanctity, and heroism, as well as depth of love and capacity for sexuality, could also be physically witnessed.

Due to various social advancements, Bangladesh has become more welcoming to digital technologies. Thus, a significant online community is flourishing here. Almost half of the country’s entire population uses the internet. The digital neighborhood is becoming larger the mediated interaction. What we now call online is nothing but a reflection of offline except its physicality. Like other social phenomena, religion and religious discourse is also a part of cyber society. Belief in cyberspace is often dubbed as “cyber-religionâ€. Debates on religion often harm the opposite group and contend faiths transform peace into communal animosity beyond cyberspace. Thus, society gets heated by hostile collective performances. In contemporary Bangladesh, online piety is an exclusive phenomenon that has considerable importance. By observing the dynamics of online religiosity, this paper focusing more on social media tries to present a concise overview of digital Islam(ism) and the social psychology of online Islamic piety in the context of Bangladesh.

This research seeks to discuss how child characters navigate their interactions with the adults in two short stories set in the predominantly Islamic society of Sudan and Indonesia. It examines Tayeb Salih’s “A Handful of Dates” (1964) and Pramoedya Ananta Toer’s “Circumcision” (1950) by locating both texts in World Literature which is largely Western or Eurocentric. Both short stories belong to the genre of initiation fiction often included in world literature anthologies. This paper argues that both authors help contribute to not only the rethinking of World Literature concept and circulation thereof, but also balanced view of heterogonous, multicultural Muslim society. Using post-Genette focalization theory as conceptual framework, this study finds out that the child narrators play distinct roles as (1) the perceptual focalizer to reveal injustice and frivolity of the adults’ world; (2) the ideological focalizer to make meaning of children’s faith through their relationship with the grown-ups. [Penelitian ini bertujuan membahas bagaimana tokoh anak berinteraksi dengan orang-orang dewasa dalam dua cerita pendek dari negara berpenduduk mayoritas Islam, Sudan dan Indonesia. Karya Tayeb Shalih, "A Handful of Dates"[Segenggam Kurma] (1964) dan karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer "Sunat" (1950) dikaji dengan menempatkan kedua teks dalam Sastra Dunia yang cenderung berkiblat ke dunia Barat dan Eropa. Kedua cerita pendek bergenre fiksi inisiasi ini sering diikutkan dalam antologi sastra dunia. Makalah ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua penulis memberikan kontribusi dalam penafsiran ulang konsep dan peredaran Sastra Dunia, serta pandangan yang lebih seimbang terhadap masyarakat Muslim yang heterogen dan multikultural. Menggunakan Teori Fokalisasi Pasca-Genette sebagai kerangka konseptual, studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa tokoh anak dalam kedua cerpen memainkan peran yang berbeda sebagai (1) focalizer (penyuara) perseptif yang mengungkapkan ketidakadilan dan kedegilan dunia orang dewasa; (2) penyuara ideologis yang memaknai keimanan anak lewat relasi dengan orang-orang dewasa.]

Suriyeli göçmenlerin din algısı, Suriye’deki dini hayat ile Türkiye’de din ve dindarlık yorumu, dini yaşantı arasında bir karşılaştırmaya girişilmiştir. Türkiye’deki dini hayat ile onların dini hayatı arasındaki farklılıklar, benzerlikler, göç sonrası ortaya çıkan etkileşim ve göçmenlerin uyum süreci üzerinde sorgulamalar yapılmıştır. Ortak inanca sahip iki farklı toplumun dini hayatlarındaki benzerliklerin, farklılıkların ve iki toplumun uyum sürecinde dinin rolünün tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Dinin toplumlara göre farklı tezahürlerinin, toplumsal bütünleşmedeki rolünün ve etkisinin görülebilmesi, her iki toplumun daha sağlıklı iletişim ve birbirleri hakkında daha doğru değerlendirme yapabilmeleri açısından makale önem arz etmektedir. Çalışmada nitel yöntem tercih edilmiş ve mülakat tekniği kullanılmıştır. Dolayısıyla araştırmanın verileri Suriyeli göçmenlerle yapılan mülakatlardan, onların mikro-sosyolojik düzeyde yaşadıkları deneyimlerinden elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada, dinin, gerek şekilsel gerekse anlam düzeyinde toplumlara göre farklılaştığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

This paper investigates how the code of conducts and devotion to the leaders develop in the Sufi orders, and how these shape the notion of “popular piety”, by paying a particular attention to the Ṭarīqah Qādiriyyah Wa Naqshbandiyyah (TQN) in Mranggen, Central Java. This article starts with highlighting the ways in which the leaders of the TQN prescribe a set of rules of conduct, and how this set of rules is grounded on “web of beliefs and practices” of the community in question. It also delves into the ways in which the followers acknowledge this code of conduct, on the one hand, and respect their living and death leaders, on the other hand. It argues that code of conduct and leaders’ death anniversary contribute to the moulding of popular piety within the Muslim community, in general, and among members of the TQN in particular. This article examines Islamic ritual performance of Eid prayer amongst Muslims in Diaspora at al-Farooq Mosque in Atlanta, the US, whose congregational members come from all around the world. Using textual and ethnographical methods, this study focuses on the implementation of shari’a law concerning Islamic prayer and on the meaning and experience of the ritual that emerge amongst the participants who perform it. This study demonstrates that the Eid ritual performance has created a special meaning and particular experience. The ritual is seen as the medium through which the performers forge their piety and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood. The ritual strengthens the brotherhood of the performers, who hold different ethnical and cultural backgrounds. However, the core ritual of Eid prayer remains Islamic and is built on the Muslim Hanafi School. Shari’a law concerning prayer is upheld to maintain the basic requirement where every ritual must be based on the sound Islamic texts. This suggests that the context, namely diasporic Muslim in America, has (re)shaped the meaning of the ritual but does not change the core of the ritual practice. [Tulisan ini mengkaji praktik ritual shalat hari raya (Eid) di masjid al-Farooq Atlanta, Amerika Serikat pada kalangan muslim perantauan dari berbagai belahan dunia. Kajian ini, dengan menggunakan pendekatan tektual dan etnografi, mengamati penerapan hukum Islam dalam hal peribadatan dan pemaknaan serta pengalaman ritual diantara mereka. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa shalat hari raya memberi makna dan pengalaman khusus. Perayaan ini dilihat sebagai medium untuk menunjukkan kesalehan dan menguatkan ikatan persaudaraan sesama muslim meskipun mempunyai latar belakang etnik dan budaya yang berbeda. Meskipun demikian, inti dari ritual tersebut menunjukkan aliran mazhab Hanafi. Pelaksanaan fiqih dalam sholat Eid tetap berpegang pada Qur’an dan Hadits. Dengan kata lain, konteks geografi dan budaya yang berbeda telah membentuk makna baru namun tetap tidak merubah inti dari praktik ibadah yang bermazhab Hanafi.]

This article elaborate about the neccesity of renewal Islamic theology in the context of pluralism and multiculturalism. One of contemporary Muslim schoolars, Fethullah Gulen, could be considered among the most influential Muslim theologians in the context of modern world. His works focus on redef ining the nature of Islamic discourse in the contemporary world by doing interreligious and intercultural dialogue. Today, we need to shift our paradigm from classical kalam which dogmatic, abstract, and exclusive, to be more practical theology, based on contemporary needs of human life, by presenting as what is called “social theology”. It’s important to note that Gulen’s theological discourse distinguished for his support of democracy, humanisme, openness to globalization, progressiveness in integrating tradition with modernity, and to make sense of pluralistic-piety. [Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang kepentingan dibalik agenda pembaharuan teologi Islam dalam konteks pluralisme dan multikulturalisme. Salah satu pemikir Muslim kontemporer, Fethullah Gulen, dianggap sebagai salah satu teolog Muslim paling berpengaruh dalam konteks dunia modern saat ini. Karya-karyanya fokus pada upaya pendefinisian ulang tentang wacana- wacana Islam di dunia kontemporer dengan melakukan dialog antaragama dan antarbudaya. Saat ini, kita perlu merubah paradigma kita dari kalam klasik yang dogmatis, abstrak, dan eksklusif, menjadi teologi lebih praktis, berdasarkan kebutuhan kontemporer, yakni dengan menghadirkan apa yang disebut dengan “teologi sosial”. penting dicatat bahwa wacana teologis Gulen ini dibedakan atas dukungan demokrasi, humanisme, keterbukaan terhadap globalisasi, progresif dalam mengintegrasikan tradisi dengan modernitas, serta untuk memahami kesalehan pluralistik.]

As a carrier of Islam’s esoteric tradition, Sufism would seem to be an unlikely candidate for promoting Islamic piety in the popular mass media in Muslim majority societies of the twenty-first century. It is thus remarkable that several of the most sensationally popular of Indonesia’s new breed of televangelists have promoted Islam by modelling ‘Sufistik’ forms of intensified piety. This article examines the electronically-mediated mass predication programs of two of Indonesia’s best known televangelists, Abdullah Gymnastiar and M. Arifin Ilham. Both are recognised by the viewing public as ‘Sufistik’. The article identifies the elements of the Sufi tradition upon which the preachers draw. It also examines how those elements can be projected effectively on television to convey the intense spiritual intimacy with God which Muslims seek through Sufi devotions.

The principles of Islamic theology such as reason, faith, free will, to act freely and responsibility constitute the basic elements of individuality. The faith, which is expressed by the term “tasdiq", as one of the theological paradigm of individuality means subjective accept and approve of individual. The faith is a morale situation which is lived by individual. It realizes in the heart of individual. Free will and free choice of individual have an important place in the constitution of faith. The faith as a religious experience and truth expresses the transformation from the collective consciousness in Arabic tribalism to the individual consciousness in the new Islamic situation. It is starting point of the process of becoming individual and central of consciousness of becoming individual. The faith as against all kinds of collective limitation and obligation is a process of free, hearty and sincere communication between God and individual. This study examines the positive roles the religious commitment plays in the context of elderly people’s life satisfaction and well-being in the case of the Konya Nursing House. The data used in this study has been acquired through the survey we made in the Konya Nursing House. We assume that religious people are happier, more satisfied, and more fulfilled than nonreliguous ones. This general assumption is tested with respect to happiness, family satisfaction, health satisfaction, life excitement, and well being. This study aims at proving that there exists such a relationship between religious commitment and life satisfaction and, well being.
