With the establishment of the "double carbon" goal, various industries are actively exploring ways to reduce carbon emissions. Cloud data centers, represented by cloud computing, often have the problem of mismatch between load requests and resource supply, resulting in excessive carbon emissions. Based on this, this paper proposes a complete method for cloud computing carbon emission prediction. Firstly, the convolutional neural network and bidirectional long-term and short-term memory neural network (CNN-BiLSTM) combined model are used to predict the cloud computing load. The real-time prediction power is obtained by real-time prediction load of cloud computing, and then the carbon emission prediction is obtained by power calculation. Develop a dynamic server carbon emission prediction model, so that the server carbon emission can change with the change of CPU utilization, so as to achieve the purpose of low carbon emission reduction. In this paper, Google cluster data is used to predict the load. The experimental results show that the CNN-BiLSTM combined model has good prediction effect. With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) services, technologies that leverage multimedia computer communication for information sharing in embedded systems have become a research focus. To address the challenges of low spectral efficiency and poor network flexibility in multimedia computer communications, this paper proposes a resource allocation scheme based on parallel Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The scheme optimizes the base station beamforming vector and the Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) phase shifts to maximize the secure transmission rate for cellular users (CUs), while ensuring normal and secure communication for device-to-device (D2D) users. First, to mitigate interference caused by D2D users reusing CU spectrum resources, the RIS phase shifts and beamforming vectors are optimized to suppress interference and enhance system secrecy rates. Second, to maximize the CU secrecy rate, the paper proposes a parallel CNN-based resource allocation model that considers base station transmission power, RIS reflection coefficients, and D2D communication rate constraints, incorporating multi-scale residual modules in the convolutional layers of the model. The existing deep estimation networks often overlook the issue of computational efficiency while pursuing high accuracy. This paper proposes a lightweight self-supervised network that combines convolutional neural networks (CNN) and Transformers as the feature extraction and encoding layers for images, enabling the network to capture both local geometric and global semantic features for depth estimation. First, depth-separable convolution is used to construct a dilated convolution residual module based on a shallow network to improve the shallow CNN feature extraction receptive field. In the transformer, a multidepth separable convolution head transposed attention module is proposed to reduce the computational burden of spatial self-attention. In the feedforward network, a two-step gating mechanism is proposed to improve the nonlinear representation ability of the feedforward network. Finally, the CNN and transformer are integrated to implement a depth estimation network with a local-global context interaction function. Compared with other lightweight models, this model has fewer model parameters and higher estimation accuracy. It also has better generalizability for different outdoor datasets. Kidney diseases pose a significant global health challenge, requiring precise diagnostic tools to improve patient outcomes. This study addresses this need by investigating three main categories of renal diseases: kidney stones, cysts, and tumors. Utilizing a comprehensive dataset of 12,446 CT whole abdomen and urogram images, this study developed an advanced AI-driven diagnostic system specifically tailored for kidney disease classification. The innovative approach of this study combines the strengths of traditional convolutional neural network architecture (AlexNet) with modern advancements in ConvNeXt architectures. By integrating AlexNet's robust feature extraction capabilities with ConvNeXt's advanced attention mechanisms, the paper achieved an exceptional classification accuracy of 99.85%. A key advancement in this study's methodology lies in the strategic amalgamation of features from both networks. This paper concatenated hierarchical spatial information and incorporated self-attention mechanisms to enhance classification performance. Furthermore, the study introduced a custom optimization technique inspired by the Adam optimizer, which dynamically adjusts the step size based on gradient norms. This tailored optimizer facilitated faster convergence and more effective weight updates, imporving model performance. The model of this study demonstrated outstanding performance across various metrics, with an average precision of 99.89%, recall of 99.95%, and specificity of 99.83%. These results highlight the efficacy of the hybrid architecture and optimization strategy in accurately diagnosing kidney diseases. Due to the uncertainty of weather conditions and the nonlinearity of high-dimensional data, as well as the need for a continuous and stable power supply to the power system, traditional regression analysis and time series forecasting methods are no longer able to meet the high accuracy requirements of today's PV power forecasting. To significantly improve the prediction accuracy of short-term PV output power, this paper proposes a short-term PV power forecasting method based on a hybrid model of temporal convolutional networks and gated recurrent units with an efficient channel attention network (TCN-ECANet-GRU) using the generated data of an Australian PV power station as the research object. First, temporal convolutional networks (TCNs) are used as spatial feature extraction layers, and an efficient channel attention network (ECANet) is embedded to enhance the feature capture capability of the convolutional network. Then, the GRU is used to extract the timing information for the final prediction. Finally, based on the experimental validation, the TCN-ECANet-GRU method generally outperformed the other baseline models in all four seasons of the year according to three performance assessment metrics: the normalized root mean square error (RMSE), normalized mean absolute error (MAE) and coefficient of determination (R2). The best RMSE, MAE and R2 reached 0.0195, 0.0128 and 99.72%, respectively, with maximum improvements of 11.32%, 8.57% and 0.38%, respectively, over those of the suboptimal model. Therefore, the model proposed in this paper is effective at improving prediction accuracy. Using the proposed method, this paper concludes with multistep predictions of 3, 6, and 9 steps, which also indicates that the proposed method significantly outperforms the other models. This paper aims to propose a table tennis target detection (TD) method based on deep learning (DL) and multi-scale feature fusion (MFF) to improve the detection accuracy of the ball in table tennis competition, optimize the training process of athletes, and improve the technical level. In this paper, DL technology is used to improve the accuracy of table tennis TD through MFF guidance. Initially, based on the FAST Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (FAST R-CNN), the TD is carried out in the table tennis match. Then, through the method of MFF guidance, different levels of feature information are fused, which improves the accuracy of TD. Through the experimental verification on the test set, it is found that the mean Average Precision (mAP) value of the target detection algorithm (TDA) proposed here reaches 87.3%, which is obviously superior to other TDAs and has higher robustness. With the increasing number and types of global power loads and the development and popularization of smart grid technology, a large number of researches on load-level non-intrusive load monitoring technology have emerged. However, the unique power characteristics of the load make NILM face the difficult problem of low robustness of feature extraction and low accuracy of classification and identification in the recognition stage. This paper proposes a structured V-I mapping method to address the inherent limitations of traditional V-I trajectory mapping methods from a new perspective. In addition, for the verification of the V-I trajectory mapping method proposed in this paper, the complexity of load characteristics is comprehensively considered, and a lightweight convolutional neural network is designed based on AlexNet. The ubiquitous presence of electronic devices demands robust hardware security mechanisms to safeguard sensitive information from threats. This paper presents a physical unclonable function (PUF) circuit based on magnetoresistive random access memory (MRAM). The circuit utilizes inherent characteristics arising from fabrication variations, specifically magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) cell resistance, to produce corresponding outputs for applied challenges. In contrast to Arbiter PUF, the proposed effectively satisfies the strict avalanche criterion (SAC). Additionally, the grid-like structure of the proposed circuit preserves its resistance against machine learning-based modeling attacks. Various machine learning (ML) attacks employing multilayer perceptron (MLP), linear regression (LR), and support vector machine (SVM) networks are simulated for two-array and four-array architectures. The MLP-attack prediction accuracy was 53.61% for a two-array circuit and 49.87% for a four-array circuit, showcasing robust performance even under the worst-case process variations. In addition, deep learning-based modeling attacks in considerable high dimensions utilizing multiple networks such as convolutional neural network (CNN), recurrent neural network (RNN), MLP, and Larq are used with the accuracy of 50.31%, 50.25%, 50.31%, and 50.31%, respectively. The efficiency of the proposed circuit at the layout level is also investigated for simplified two-array architecture. Accurate detection of asphalt pavement distress is crucial for road maintenance and traffic safety. However, traditional convolutional neural networks usually struggle with this task due to the varied distress patterns and complex background in the images. To enhance the accuracy of asphalt pavement distress identification across various scenarios, this paper introduces an improved model named SMG-YOLOv8, based on the YOLOv8s framework. This model integrates the space-to-depth module and the multi-scale convolutional attention mechanism, while optimizing the backbone's C2f structure with a more efficient G-GhostC2f structure. Experimental results demonstrate that SMG-YOLOv8 outperforms the YOLOv8s baseline model, achieving Pmacro and mAP50 scores of 81.1% and 79.4% respectively, marking an increase of 8.2% and 12.5% over the baseline. Furthermore, SMG-YOLOv8 exhibits clear advantages in identifying various types of pavement distresses, including longitudinal cracks, transverse cracks, mesh cracks, and potholes, when compared to YOLOv5n, YOLOv5s, YOLOv6s, YOLOv8n, and SSD models. This enhancement optimizes the network structure, reducing the number of parameters while maintaining excellent detection performance. In real-world scenarios, the SMG-YOLOv8 model, when applied to image data collected from projects, achieves a Pmacro of 80.5% and an Rmacro of 86.2%. This paper uses a generalised stacking method to introduce a novel hybrid model that combines a one-dimensional convolutional neural network 1DCNN with extreme gradient boosting XGBoost. We compared the predictive accuracies of the proposed hybrid architecture with three conventional algorithms-1DCNN, XGBoost and logistic regression (LR) using a dataset of over twenty thousand peer-to-peer (P2P) consumer credit observations. By leveraging the SHAP algorithm, the research provides a detailed analysis of feature importance, contributing to the model's predictions and offering insights into the overall and individual significance of different features. The findings demonstrate that the hybrid model outperforms the LR, XGBoost and 1DCNN models in terms of classification accuracy. Furthermore, the research addresses concern regarding fairness and bias by showing that removing potentially discriminatory features, such as age and gender, does not significantly impact the hybrid model's classification capabilities. This suggests that fair and unbiased credit scoring models can achieve high effectiveness levels without compromising accuracy. This paper proposes an improved strategy for the MobileNetV2 neural network(I-MobileNetV2) in response to problems such as large parameter quantities in existing deep convolutional neural networks and the shortcomings of the lightweight neural network MobileNetV2 such as easy loss of feature information, poor real-time performance, and low accuracy rate in facial emotion recognition tasks. The network inherits the characteristics of MobilenetV2 depthwise separated convolution, signifying a reduction in computational load while maintaining a lightweight profile. It utilizes a reverse fusion mechanism to retain negative features, which makes the information less likely to be lost. The SELU activation function is used to replace the RELU6 activation function to avoid gradient vanishing. Meanwhile, to improve the feature recognition capability, the channel attention mechanism (Squeeze-and-Excitation Networks (SE-Net)) is integrated into the MobilenetV2 network. Experiments conducted on the facial expression datasets FER2013 and CK + showed that the proposed network model achieved facial expression recognition accuracies of 68.62% and 95.96%, improving upon the MobileNetV2 model by 0.72% and 6.14% respectively, and the parameter count decreased by 83.8%. This paper presents an improved Fast-Segmentation Convolutional Neural Network (Fast-SCNN) and U-Net networks based on the channel attention mechanism. While ensuring the speed of network detection, the accuracy of image segmentation is also considered. The experimental results show that the accuracy rate of improved Fast-SCNN based on the channel attention mechanism is greatly improved compared with the original Fast-SCNN, reaching 88.056%, and the mean intersection over union is also improved to a certain extent, reaching 81.087%, and the detection speed is better than the original Fast-SCNN network. The accuracy of improved U-Net network based on the channel attention mechanism is 0.91805, which is better than the original U-Net network. Over the past decade, the use of biometrics in security systems and other applications has grown in popularity. ECG signals in particular are attracting increased attention due to their characteristics, which are required for a trustworthy identification system. The majority of ECG-based person identification systems are evaluated without considering the health-state of the individuals. Few person identification systems consider person-by-person health-state annotation. This paper proposes a person identification system considering the health-state annotated ECG signals where each person's beats overlap among variant arrhythmia classes. This overlapping between the normal class and other arrhythmia classes grants the ability to isolate normal beats in the train set from the Arrhythmic beats in the test set. Therefore, this paper investigates the effect of arrhythmic heartbeats on biometric recognition. An effective lightweight CNN based on depth-wise separable convolution (DWSC) is proposed to enhance the performance of person identification for several common arrhythmia types using the MITBIH dataset. The proposed methodology has been tested on nine arrhythmia types and presents how different types of arrhythmia affect ECG-based biometric systems differently. The experimental results show excellent recognition performance (99.28%) on normal heartbeats and (93.81%) on arrhythmic heartbeats, outperforming other models in terms of mean accuracy. In the actual production process of oil fields, the real-time and accurate acquisition of dynamic recorder data from the pumping unit is of great significance for the diagnosis of well failures. The traditional method of obtaining the card of the dynamometer usually includes installing a load sensor on the auxiliary head of the pumping unit. However, due to the harsh environment of the oil field production site, these load sensors often suffer from damage, distortion, and aging, resulting in large measurement errors and low reliability. This paper proposes a mixed model of pumping based on motor electrical parameter data and CNN convolutional neural network, which has good consistency with actual data in terms of predictive performance. Epilepsy is one of the most well-known neurological disorders globally, leading to individuals experiencing sudden seizures and significantly impacting their quality of life. Hence, there is an urgent necessity for an efficient method to detect and predict seizures in order to mitigate the risks faced by epilepsy patients. In this paper, a new method for seizure detection and prediction is proposed, which is based on multi-class feature fusion and the convolutional neural network-gated recurrent unit-attention mechanism (CNN-GRU-AM) model. Initially, the Electroencephalography (EEG) signal undergoes wavelet decomposition through the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), resulting in six subbands. Subsequently, time–frequency domain and nonlinear features are extracted from each subband. Finally, the CNN-GRU-AM further extracts features and performs classification. The CHB-MIT dataset is used to validate the proposed approach. The results of tenfold cross validation show that our method achieved a sensitivity of 99.24% and 95.47%, specificity of 99.51% and 94.93%, accuracy of 99.35% and 95.16%, and an AUC of 99.34% and 95.15% in seizure detection and prediction tasks, respectively. The results show that the method proposed in this paper can effectively achieve high-precision detection and prediction of seizures, so as to remind patients and doctors to take timely protective measures. The automated replacement of empty tubes in the yarn bank is a critical step in the process of automatic winding machines with yarn banks, as the real-time detection of depleted yarn on spools and accurate positioning of empty tubes directly impact the production efficiency of winding machines. Addressing the shortcomings of traditional methods, such as poor adaptability and low sensitivity in optical and visual tube detection, and aiming to reduce the computational and detection time costs introduced by neural networks, this paper proposes a lightweight yarn spool detection model based on YOLOv8. The model utilizes Darknet-53 as the backbone network, and due to the dense spatial distribution of yarn spool targets, it incorporates large selective kernel units to enhance the recognition and positioning of dense targets. To address the issue of excessive focus on local features by convolutional neural networks, a bi-level routing attention mechanism is introduced to capture long-distance dependencies dynamically. Furthermore, to balance accuracy and detection speed, a FasterNeck is constructed as the neck network, replacing the original convolutional blocks with Ghost convolutions and integrating with FasterNet. This design minimizes the sacrifice of detection accuracy while achieving a significant improvement in inference speed. Lastly, the model employs weighted IoU with a dynamic focusing mechanism as the bounding box loss function. Experimental results on a custom yarn spool dataset demonstrate a notable improvement over the baseline model, with a high-confidence mAP of 94.2% and a compact weight size of only 4.9 MB. In the realm of prognosticating the remaining useful life (RUL) of pivotal components, such as aircraft engines, a prevalent challenge persists where the available historical life data often proves insufficient. This insufficiency engenders obstacles such as impediments in performance degradation feature extraction, inadequacies in capturing temporal relationships comprehensively, and diminished predictive accuracy. To address this issue, a 1D CNN-GRU prediction model for few-shot conditions is proposed in this paper. In pursuit of more comprehensive data feature extraction and enhanced RUL prognostication precision, the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is selected for its capacity to discern high-dimensional features amid the intricate dynamics of the data. Concurrently, the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) network is leveraged for its robust capability in extracting temporal features inherent within the data. We combine the two to construct a CNN-GRU hybrid network. Moreover, the integration of data distribution alongside correlation and monotonicity indices is employed to winnow the input of multi-sensor monitoring parameters into the CNN-GRU network. Finally, the engine RULs are predicted by the trained model. In this paper, experiments are conducted on a sub-dataset of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) C-MAPSS multi-constraint dataset to validate the effectiveness of the method. The intelligent appearance quality classification method for Auricularia auricula is of great significance to promote this industry. This paper proposes an appearance quality classification method for Auricularia auricula based on the improved Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Networks (improved Faster RCNN) framework. The original Faster RCNN is improved by establishing a multiscale feature fusion detection model to improve the accuracy and real-time performance of the model. The multiscale feature fusion detection model makes full use of shallow feature information to complete target detection. It fuses shallow features with rich detailed information with deep features rich in strong semantic information. Since the fusion algorithm directly uses the existing information of the feature extraction network, there is no additional calculation. The fused features contain more original detailed feature information. Therefore, the improved Faster RCNN can improve the final detection rate without sacrificing speed. By comparing with the original Faster RCNN model, the mean average precision (mAP) of the improved Faster RCNN is increased by 2.13%. The average precision (AP) of the first-level Auricularia auricula is almost unchanged at a high level. The AP of the second-level Auricularia auricula is increased by nearly 5%. And the third-level Auricularia auricula AP is increased by 1%. The improved Faster RCNN improves the frames per second from 6.81 of the original Faster RCNN to 13.5. Accurate prediction of sea level height is critically important for the government in assessing sea level risk in coastal areas. However, due to the nonlinear, time-varying and highly uncertain characteristics of sea level change data, sea level prediction is challenging. To improve the accuracy of sea level prediction, this paper uses a new swarm intelligence algorithm named the sparrow search algorithm (SSA), which can imitate the foraging behavior and antipredation behavior of sparrows, to determine optimal solutions. To avoid the algorithm falling into a local optimal situation, this paper integrates the sine–cosine algorithm and the Cauchy variation strategy into the SSA to obtain an algorithm named the SCSSA. The SCSSA is used to optimize the parameter values of the CNN-BiLSTM (convolutional neural network combined with bidirectional long short-term memory neural network) model; finally, a combined neural network model (named SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM) is proposed. In this paper, the time series data of seven tidal stations located in coastal China are used for experimental analysis. First, the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model is compared with the CNN-BiLSTM model to predict the time series data of SHANWEI Station. With respect to the training and test sets of data, the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model outperforms the other models on all the evaluation metrics. In addition, the remaining six tide station datasets and five neural network models, including the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model, are used to further study the performance of the proposed prediction model. Four evaluation indices including the root mean squared error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and coefficient of determination (R2) are adopted. For six stations, the RMSE, MAE, MAPE and R2 of SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model are ranged from 20.9217 ~ 27.8427 mm, 9.4770 ~ 17.8603 mm, 0.1322% ~ 0.2482% and 0.9119 ~ 0.9759, respectively. The experimental analysis results show that the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model makes effective predictions at all stations, and the prediction performance is better than that of the other models. Even though the combination of SCSSA algorithm may increase the complexity of the model, indeed the proposed model is a new prediction method with good accuracy and robustness for predicting sea level change. Oscillations, commonly known as a universal, propagative, and intricate event in the new power system, often give rise to generator tripping and load shedding, not only adversely affecting the power flow limit and the power angle stability but also posing threats to the lines of defense for stability and protection. Traditionally, emphasis has been laid on post-fault oscillation management, an emergency measure to deal with the impact and damage that have already affected the power grid. As such, this paper focuses on an oscillation prediction technique to detect oscillation energy early and intervene proactively to prevent further faults. This technique effectively lessens the damage caused by impacts and disconnects to the power grid. Firstly, this paper proposes the concept of disturbance power density and establishes the correlation between disturbance energy and the time domain, thereby exploring a method for evaluating the pattern of electrical quantities before power system oscillation. Secondly, it speeds up the time it takes to detect faults by catching nuances of voltage-current phase angle and impedance. Lastly, it puts forward a technique to cope with the intricacy and variety of power grid equipment using the convolutional neural network (CNN). This technique incorporates an integrated attention mechanism within a one-dimensional CNN model to capture the implicit mapping between voltage, active power, and reactive power at any time in the power system. This enables the model to self-learn multi-device characteristics and enhances the possibility of using theory in practical ways. Rapid and accurate detection of a C-shaped root canal on mandibular second molars can assist dentists in diagnosis and treatment. Oral panoramic radiography is one of the most effective methods of determining the root canal of teeth. There are already some traditional methods based on deep learning to learn the characteristics of C-shaped root canal tooth images. However, previous studies have shown that the accuracy of detecting the C-shaped root canal still needs to be improved. And it is not suitable for implementing these network structures with limited hardware resources. In this paper, a new lightweight convolutional neural network is designed, which combined with receptive field block (RFB) for optimizing feature extraction. In order to optimize the hardware resource requirements of the model, a lightweight, multi-branch, convolutional neural network model was developed in this study. To improve the feature extraction ability of the model for C-shaped root canal tooth images, RFB has been merged with this model. RFB has achieved excellent results in target detection and classification. In the multiscale receptive field block, some small convolution kernels are used to replace the large convolution kernels, which allows the model to extract detailed features and reduce the computational complexity. Finally, the accuracy and area under receiver operating characteristics curve (AUC) values of C-shaped root canals on the image data of our mandibular second molars were 0.9838 and 0.996, respectively. The results show that the deep learning model proposed in this paper is more accurate and has lower computational complexity than many other similar studies. Ignition advance angle is one of the important factors affecting the performance of the engine, when it occurs abnormally will make the engine power and economy worse, and even cause serious damage to the engine. Therefore, it is very necessary to recognize the abnormal ignition advance angle of the engine. However, the engine system is closed and has a complex structure, which makes traditional diagnostic methods difficult. This paper proposes an intelligent identification method based on acoustic emission (AE) signals, which collects the AE signals from the engine surface and divides their spectra into equal parts, and selects the frequency bands with high contribution to the classification based on the minimum distance method to construct feature maps, which is used as the input to the convolutional neural network (CNN). The extracted frequency band features of this method can better characterize the AE signals, and the constructed feature maps make the fault information more obvious. Experiments show that the accuracy of this method for abnormal ignition advance angle under normal operating conditions of piston aero-engine is 100%, which is better than the traditional methods. This paper proposes a forward layer-wise learning algorithm for CNNs in classification problems. The algorithm utilizes the Separation Index (SI) as a supervised complexity measure to evaluate and train each layer in a forward manner. The proposed method explains that gradually increasing the SI through layers reduces the input data's uncertainties and disturbances, achieving a better feature space representation. Hence, by approximating the SI with a variant of local triplet loss at each layer, a gradient-based learning algorithm is suggested to maximize it. Inspired by the NGRAD (Neural Gradient Representation by Activity Differences) hypothesis, the proposed algorithm operates in a forward manner without explicit error information from the last layer. The algorithm's performance is evaluated on image classification tasks using VGG16, VGG19, AlexNet, and LeNet architectures with CIFAR-10, CIFAR-100, Raabin-WBC, and Fashion-MNIST datasets. Wearable sensors are widely used in medical applications and human–computer interaction because of their portability and powerful privacy. Human activity identification based on sensor data plays a vital role in these fields. Therefore, it is important to improve the recognition performance of different types of actions. Aiming at the problems of insufficient time-varying feature extraction and gradient explosion caused by too many network layers, a time convolution network recognition model with attention mechanism (TCN-Attention-HAR) was proposed. The model effectively recognizes and emphasizes the key feature information. The ability of extracting temporal features from TCN (temporal convolution network) is improved by using the appropriate size of the receiver domain. In addition, attention mechanisms are used to assign higher weights to important information, enabling models to learn and identify human activities more effectively. The performance of the Open Data Set (WISDM, PAMAP2 and USC-HAD) is improved by 1.13%, 1.83% and 0.51%, respectively, compared with other advanced models, these results clearly show that the network model presented in this paper has excellent recognition performance. In the knowledge distillation experiment, the parameters of student model are only about 0.1% of those of teacher model, and the accuracy of the model has been greatly improved, and in the WISDM data set, compared with the teacher's model, the accuracy is 0.14% higher. This paper realizes infrared image denoising, recognition, and semantic segmentation for complex electrical equipment and proposes a thermal fault diagnosis method that incorporates temperature differences. We introduce a deformable convolution module into the Denoising Convolutional Neural Network (DeDn-CNN) and propose an image denoising algorithm based on this improved network. By replacing Gaussian wrap-around filtering with anisotropic diffusion filtering, we suggest an image enhancement algorithm that employs Weighted Guided Filtering (WGF) with an enhanced Single-Scale Retinex (Ani-SSR) technique to prevent strong edge halos. Furthermore, we propose a refined detection algorithm for electrical equipment that builds upon an improved RetinaNet. This algorithm incorporates a rotating rectangular frame and an attention module, addressing the challenge of precise detection in scenarios where electrical equipment is densely arranged or tilted. We also introduce a thermal fault diagnosis approach that combines temperature differences with DeeplabV3 + semantic segmentation. The improved RetinaNet's recognition results are fed into the DeeplabV3 + model to further segment structures prone to thermal faults. The accuracy of component recognition in this paper achieved 87.23%, 86.54%, and 90.91%, with respective false alarm rates of 7.50%, 8.20%, and 7.89%. In this study, the deep learning algorithm of Convolutional Neural Network long short-term memory (CNN–LSTM) is used to classify various jewelry rocks such as agate, turquoise, calcites, and azure from various historical periods and styles related to Shahr-e Sokhteh. Here, the CNN–LSTM architecture includes utilizing CNN layers for the extraction of features from input data mixed with LSTMs for supporting sequence forecasting. It should be mentioned that interpretable deep learning-assisted laser induced breakdown spectroscopy helped achieve excellent performance. For the first time, this paper interprets the Convolutional LSTM effectiveness layer by layer in self-adaptively obtaining LIBS features and the quantitative data of major chemical elements in jewelry rocks. Moreover, Lasso method is applied on data as a factor for investigation of interoperability. Artificial intelligence (AI) methods attempt to simulate the behavior and the neural activity of the brain. In particular, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) offer state-of-the-art models of the ventral visual stream. Furthermore, no proposed model estimates the distance between objects as a function of the dorsal stream. In this paper, we present a quantitatively accurate model for the visual system. Specifically, we propose a VeDo-Net model that comprises both ventral and dorsal branches. As in the ventral visual stream, our model recognizes objects. The model also locates and estimates the distance between objects as a spatial relationship task performed by the dorsal stream. One application of the proposed model is in the simulation of visual impairments. In this study, however, we show how the proposed model can simulate the occurrence of dorsal stream impairments such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and cerebral visual impairment (CVI). In the end, we explore the impacts of learning on the recovery of the synaptic disruptions of the dorsal visual stream. Results indicated a direct relationship between the positive and negative changes in the weights of the dorsal stream's last layers and the output of the dorsal stream under an allocentric situation. Our previous research papers have shown the potential of deep-learning models for real-time detection and control of porosity defects in 3D printing, specifically in the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process. Extending these models to identify other defects like surface deformation poses a challenge due to the scarcity of available data. This study introduces the use of Transfer Learning (TL) to train models on limited data for high accuracy in detecting surface deformations, marking the first attempt to apply a model trained on one defect type to another. Our approach demonstrates the power of transfer learning in adapting a model known for porosity detection in LPBF to identify surface deformations with high accuracy (94%), matching the performance of the best existing models but with significantly less complexity. This results in faster training and evaluation, ideal for real-time systems with limited computing capabilities. The prediction of photovoltaic (PV) system performance has been intensively studied as it plays an important role in the context of sustainability and renewable energy generation. In this paper, a digital twin (DT) model based on a domain-matched transformer is proposed using convolutional neural network (CNN) for domain-invariant feature extraction, transformer for PV performance prediction, and domain adaptation neural network (DANN) for domain adaptation. The effectiveness of the proposed framework is validated using a PV power prediction dataset. The results indicate an accuracy improvement of up to 39.99% in model performance. Accurate medical image segmentation plays a vital role in clinical practice. Convolutional Neural Network and Transformer are mainstream architectures for this task. However, convolutional neural network lacks the ability of modeling global dependency while Transformer cannot extract local details. In this paper, we propose DATTNet, DualATTentionNetwork, an encoder-decoder deep learning model for medical image segmentation. DATTNet is exploited in hierarchical fashion with two novel components: (1) Dual Attention module is designed to model global dependency in spatial and channel dimensions. (2) Context Fusion Bridge is presented to remix the feature maps with multiple scales and construct their correlations. The experiments on ACDC, Synapse and Kvasir-SEG datasets are conducted to evaluate the performance of DATTNet. Our proposed model shows superior performance, effectiveness and robustness compared to SOTA methods, with mean Dice Similarity Coefficient scores of 92.2%, 84.5% and 89.1% on cardiac, abdominal organs and gastrointestinal poly segmentation tasks. The quantitative and qualitative results demonstrate that our proposed DATTNet attains favorable capability across different modalities (MRI, CT, and endoscopy) and can be generalized to various tasks. A variety of reasons have made it more difficult for educators and tutors to anticipate students' performance. Numerous researchers have used various predictive models to identify students who may be at-risk of dropping out early. Additionally, these methods were used to forecast final semester grades based on various datasets. However, these prediction models still fall short of meeting educational management requirements. In this paper, we propose the deep learning (DL) based model named students academic performance prediction network (SAPPNet) to predict the students' grades. We consider the questionnaire-based Jordan University dataset which contains demographic information, usage of digital tools before and after COVID-19, sleep times before and after COVID-19, social interaction, psychological state, and academic performance. SAPPNet consists of spatial convolution modules which are designed to extract spatial dependencies includes categorical and numerical attributes that represent static features (gender, level/year, age, digital tools used before and after COVID-19, psychological condition using prolonged e-learning tools) and temporal module for temporal dependencies involves sequences that capture changes before and after COVID-19. Additionally, we also try to implement classical machine learning (ML) models including support vector machine, k nearest neighbor, decision tree, and random forest, and DL models named artificial neural network, convolutional neural network, long short-term memory, and students learning prediction network. Simulation results show that SAPPNet achieved the best performance compared to state-of-the-art methods, with an accuracy, precision, recall, and an F1-score of 93 % . Breast cancer (BC) is a prominent cause of female mortality on a global scale. Recently, there has been growing interest in utilizing blood and tissue-based biomarkers to detect and diagnose BC, as this method offers a non-invasive approach. To improve the classification and prediction of BC using large biomarker datasets, several machine-learning techniques have been proposed. In this paper, we present a multi-stage approach that consists of computing new features and then sorting them into an input image for the ResNet50 neural network. The method involves transforming the original values into normalized values based on their membership in the Gaussian distribution of healthy and BC samples of each feature. To test the effectiveness of our proposed approach, we employed the Coimbra and Wisconsin datasets. The results demonstrate efficient performance improvement, with an accuracy of 100% and 100% using the Coimbra and Wisconsin datasets, respectively. Furthermore, the comparison with existing literature validates the reliability and effectiveness of our methodology, where the normalized value can reduce the misclassified samples of ML techniques because of its generality. Data augmentation is a technique usually deployed to mitigate the possible performance limitation from training a neural network model on a limited dataset, especially in the medical domain. This paper presents a study on effects of applying different rotation settings to augment cardiac volumes from the Multi-modality Whole Heart Segmentation dataset, in order to improve the segmentation performance. This study presents a comparison between conventional 2D (slice-wise) rotation primarily on the axial axis, 3D (volume-wise) rotation, and our proposed rotation setting that takes into account possible cardiac alignment according to its anatomy. The study has suggested two key considerations: 2D slice-wise rotation should be avoided when using 3D data for segmentation, due to intrinsic structural correlation between subsequent slices, and that 3D rotations may help improve segmentation performance on data previously unseen to the model. The global interest in market prediction has driven the adoption of advanced technologies beyond traditional statistical models. This paper explores the use of machine learning and deep learning techniques for stock market forecasting. We propose a comprehensive approach that includes efficient feature selection, data preprocessing, and classification methodologies. The wavelet transform method is employed for data cleaning and noise reduction. Feature selection is optimized using the Dandelion Optimization Algorithm (DOA), identifying the most relevant input features. A novel hybrid model, 3D-CNN-GRU, integrating a 3D convolutional neural network with a gated recurrent unit, is developed for stock market data analysis. Hyperparameter tuning is facilitated by the Blood Coagulation Algorithm (BCA), enhancing model performance. The multi-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) is widely utilized in clinical diagnosis and monitoring of cardiac conditions. The advancement of deep learning has led to the emergence of automated multi-lead ECG diagnostic networks, which have become essential in the fields of biomedical engineering and clinical cardiac disease diagnosis. Intelligent ECG diagnosis techniques encompass Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), Transformers, and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). While CNN is capable of extracting local spatial information from images, it lacks the ability to learn global spatial features and temporal memory features. Conversely, RNN relies on time and can retain significant sequential features. However, they are not proficient in extracting lengthy dependencies of sequence data in practical scenarios. The self-attention mechanism in the Transformer model has the capability of global feature extraction, but it does not adequately prioritize local features and cannot extract spatial and channel features. This paper proposes STFAC-ECGNet, a model that incorporates CAMV-RNN block, CBMV-CNN block, and TSEF block to enhance the performance of the model by integrating the strengths of CNN, RNN, and Transformer. The CAMV-RNN block incorporates a coordinated adaptive simplified self-attention module that adaptively carries out global sequence feature retention and enhances spatial–temporal information. The CBMV-CNN block integrates spatial and channel attentional mechanism modules in a skip connection, enabling the fusion of spatial and channel information. The TSEF block implements enhanced multi-scale fusion of image spatial and sequence temporal features. In this study, comprehensive experiments were conducted using the PTB-XL large publicly available ECG dataset and the China Physiological Signal Challenge 2018 (CPSC2018) database. Tomatoes are a major crop worldwide, and accurately classifying their maturity is important for many agricultural applications, such as harvesting, grading, and quality control. In this paper, the authors propose a novel method for tomato maturity classification using a convolutional transformer. The convolutional transformer is a hybrid architecture that combines the strengths of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and transformers. Additionally, this study introduces a new tomato dataset named KUTomaData, explicitly designed to train deep-learning models for tomato segmentation and classification. KUTomaData is a compilation of images sourced from a greenhouse in the UAE, with approximately 700 images available for training and testing. The dataset is prepared under various lighting conditions and viewing perspectives and employs different mobile camera sensors, distinguishing it from existing datasets. The contributions of this paper are threefold: firstly, the authors propose a novel method for tomato maturity classification using a modular convolutional transformer. Secondly, the authors introduce a new tomato image dataset that contains images of tomatoes at different maturity levels. Lastly, the authors show that the convolutional transformer outperforms state-of-the-art methods for tomato maturity classification. This paper applies thermal imaging technology to gearbox fault diagnosis. The temperature field calculation model is established to obtain the temperature field images of various faults. A deep learning network model combining transfer learning of convolutional neural network with supervised training and unsupervised training of deep belief network is proposed. The model requires one-fifth of the training time of the convolutional neural network model. The data set used for training the deep learning network model is expanded by using the temperature field simulation image of the gearbox. The results show that the network model has over 97% accuracy for the diagnosis of simulation faults. Self-piercing riveting (SPR) has been widely used in automobile body jointing. However, the riveting process is prone to various forming quality failures, such as empty riveting, repeated riveting, substrate cracking, and other riveting defects. This paper combines deep learning algorithms to achieve non-contact monitoring of SPR forming quality. And a lightweight convolutional neural network with higher accuracy and less computational effort is designed. The ablation and comparative experiments results show that the lightweight convolutional neural network proposed in this paper achieves improved accuracy and reduced computational complexity. Compared with the original algorithm, the algorithm's accuracy in this paper is increased by 4.5 % , and the recall is increased by 1.4 % . In addition, the amount of redundant parameters is reduced by 86.5 % , and the amount of computation is reduced by 47.33 % . The fault diagnosis of building electrical systems are of great significance to the safe and stable operation of modern intelligent buildings. In this paper, it has many problems, such as various fault types, inconspicuous fault characteristics, uncertainty of fault type and mode, irregularity, unstable signal, large gap between fault data classes, small gap between classes and nonlinearity, etc. A method of building electrical system fault diagnosis based on the combination of variational mode decomposition and mutual dimensionless indictor (VMD-MDI) and quantum genetic algorithm-support vector machine (QGA-SVM) is proposed. Firstly, the method decomposes the original signal through variational modal decomposition to obtain the optimal number of Intrinsic Mode Function(IMF) containing fault feature information. Secondly, extracts the mutual dimensionless indicator for each IMF. Thirdly, the optimal penalty coefficient C of the support vector machine and the parameter gamma (γ ) in the radial basis kernel function are selected by the quantum genetic algorithm. Finally, SVM optimized by the QGA is used to identify and classify the faults. By applying the proposed method to the experimental platform data of building electrical system, and compared with the traditional feature extraction method Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD), Singular Value Decomposition(SVD), Local Mean Decomposition(LMD). To rapidly obtain the complete characterization information of pulse signals and to verify the sensitivity and validity of pulse signals in the clinical diagnosis of related diseases. In this paper, an improved PNCC method is proposed as a supplementary feature to enable the complete characterization of pulse signals. In this paper, the wavelet scattering method is used to extract time-domain features from impulse signals, and EEMD-based improved PNCC (EPNCC) is used to extract frequency-domain features. The time–frequency features are mixed into a convolutional neural network for final classification and recognition. The data for this study were obtained from the MIT-BIH-mimic database, which was used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The experimental analysis of three types of clinical symptom pulse signals showed an accuracy of 98.3% for pulse classification and recognition. Chemical molecular structures are a direct and convenient means of expressing chemical knowledge, playing a vital role in academic communication. In chemistry, hand drawing is a common task for students and researchers. If we can convert hand-drawn chemical molecular structures into machine-readable formats, like SMILES encoding, computers can efficiently process and analyze these structures, significantly enhancing the efficiency of chemical research. Furthermore, with the progress of educational technology, automated grading is gaining popularity. When machines automatically recognize chemical molecular structures and assess the correctness of the drawings, it offers great convenience to teachers. We created ChemReco, a tool designed to identify chemical molecular structures involving three atoms: C, H, and O, providing convenience for chemical researchers. Currently, there are limited studies on hand-drawn chemical molecular structures. Therefore, the primary focus of this paper is constructing datasets. We propose a synthetic image method to rapidly generate images resembling hand-drawn chemical molecular structures, enhancing dataset acquisition efficiency. Regarding model selection, the hand-drawn chemical molecule structural recognition model developed in this article achieves a final recognition accuracy of 96.90%. Handwritten Text Recognition (HTR) is a challenging task due to the complex structures and variations present in handwritten text. In recent years, the application of gated mechanisms, such as Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, has brought significant advancements to HTR systems. This paper presents an overview of HTR using a gated mechanism and highlights its novelty and advantages. The gated mechanism enables the model to capture long-term dependencies, retain relevant context, handle variable length sequences, mitigate error propagation, and adapt to contextual variations. The pipeline involves preprocessing the handwritten text images, extracting features, modeling the sequential dependencies using the gated mechanism, and decoding the output into readable text. The training process utilizes annotated datasets and optimization techniques to minimize transcription discrepancies. HTR using a gated mechanism has found applications in digitizing historical documents, automatic form processing, and real-time transcription. The results show improved accuracy and robustness compared to traditional HTR approaches. The advancements in HTR using a gated mechanism open up new possibilities for effectively recognizing and transcribing handwritten text in various domains. Due to the large computational overhead, underutilization of features, and high bandwidth consumption in traditional SDN environments for DDoS attack detection and mitigation methods, this paper proposes a two-stage detection and mitigation method for DDoS attacks in SDN based on multi-dimensional characteristics. Firstly, an analysis of the traffic statistics from the SDN switch ports is performed, which aids in conducting a coarse-grained detection of DDoS attacks within the network. Subsequently, a Multi-Dimensional Deep Convolutional Classifier (MDDCC) is constructed using wavelet decomposition and convolutional neural networks to extract multi-dimensional characteristics from the traffic data passing through suspicious switches. Based on these extracted multi-dimensional characteristics, a simple classifier can be employed to accurately detect attack samples. Finally, by integrating graph theory with restrictive strategies, the source of attacks in SDN networks can be effectively traced and isolated. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method, which utilizes a minimal amount of statistical information, can quickly and accurately detect attacks within the SDN network. It demonstrates superior accuracy and generalization capabilities compared to traditional detection methods, especially when tested on both simulated and public datasets. Trajectory similarity computation is very important for trajectory data mining. It is applied into many trajectory mining tasks, including trajectory clustering, trajectory classification and trajectory search etc. So efficient trajectory similarity computation method is very useful for improving trajectory mining result. Nowadays many trajectory similarity computation methods have been proposed. But most of them can not be applied into long trajectories similarity calculation efficiently. So a new algorithm called TrajGAT is proposed. This algorithm can calculate similarity for long trajectories. It treats long trajectory as a long sequence. By doing so, long-term dependency of long trajectory is considered by this algorithm while computing similarity value. But, the spatial feature of long trajectories is not considered. As long trajectory can be presented in many different shapes, if two long trajectories are judged as similar trajectories, the outline shape of these two trajectories should be similar as well. To solve this problem, a new trajectory similarity computation method is proposed in this paper. This method not only takes the long-term dependence feature into consideration, but also considers the outline feature of long trajectory. Alzheimer's disease (AD), the predominant form of dementia, is a growing global challenge, emphasizing the urgent need for accurate and early diagnosis. Current clinical diagnoses rely on radiologist expert interpretation, which is prone to human error. Deep learning has thus far shown promise for early AD diagnosis. However, existing methods often overlook focal structural atrophy critical for enhanced understanding of the cerebral cortex neurodegeneration. This paper proposes a deep learning framework that includes a novel structure-focused neurodegeneration CNN architecture named SNeurodCNN and an image brightness enhancement preprocessor using gamma correction. The SNeurodCNN architecture takes as input the focal structural atrophy features resulting from segmentation of brain structures captured through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). As a result, the architecture considers only necessary CNN components, which comprises of two downsampling convolutional blocks and two fully connected layers, for achieving the desired classification task, and utilises regularisation techniques to regularise learnable parameters. Leveraging mid-sagittal and para-sagittal brain image viewpoints from the Alzheimer's disease neuroimaging initiative (ADNI) dataset, our framework demonstrated exceptional performance. The para-sagittal viewpoint achieved 97.8% accuracy, 97.0% specificity, and 98.5% sensitivity, while the mid-sagittal viewpoint offered deeper insights with 98.1% accuracy, 97.2% specificity, and 99.0% sensitivity. Model analysis revealed the ability of SNeurodCNN to capture the structural dynamics of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and AD in the frontal lobe, occipital lobe, cerebellum, temporal, and parietal lobe, suggesting its potential as a brain structural change digi-biomarker for early AD diagnosis. Blinding eye diseases are often related to changes in retinal structure, which can be detected by analysing retinal blood vessels in fundus images. However, existing techniques struggle to accurately segment these delicate vessels. Although deep learning has shown promise in medical image segmentation, its reliance on specific operations can limit its ability to capture crucial details such as the edges of the vessel. This paper introduces LMBiS-Net, a lightweight convolutional neural network designed for the segmentation of retinal vessels. LMBiS-Net achieves exceptional performance with a remarkably low number of learnable parameters (only 0.172 million). The network used multipath feature extraction blocks and incorporates bidirectional skip connections for the information flow between the encoder and decoder. In addition, we have optimised the efficiency of the model by carefully selecting the number of filters to avoid filter overlap. This optimisation significantly reduces training time and improves computational efficiency. To assess LMBiS-Net's robustness and ability to generalise to unseen data, we conducted comprehensive evaluations on four publicly available datasets: DRIVE, STARE, CHASE_DB1, and HRF The proposed LMBiS-Net achieves significant performance metrics in various datasets. It obtains sensitivity values of 83.60%, 84.37%, 86.05%, and 83.48%, specificity values of 98.83%, 98.77%, 98.96%, and 98.77%, accuracy (acc) scores of 97.08%, 97.69%, 97.75%, and 96.90%, and AUC values of 98.80%, 98.82%, 98.71%, and 88.77% on the DRIVE, STARE, CHEASE_DB, and HRF datasets, respectively. In addition, it records F1 scores of 83.43%, 84.44%, 83.54%, and 78.73% on the same datasets. Our evaluations demonstrate that LMBiS-Net achieves high segmentation accuracy (acc) while exhibiting both robustness and generalisability across various retinal image datasets. Technology offers a lot of potential that is being used to improve the integrity and efficiency of infrastructures. Crack is one of the major concerns that can affect the integrity or usability of any structure. Oftentimes, the use of manual inspection methods leads to delays which can worsen the situation. Automated crack detection has become very necessary for efficient management and inspection of critical infrastructures. Previous research in crack detection employed classification and localization-based models using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (DCNNs). This study suggests and compares the effectiveness of transfer learned DCNNs for crack detection as a classification model and as a feature extractor to overcome this restriction. The main objective of this paper is to present various methods of crack detection on surfaces and compare their performance over 3 different datasets. Experiments conducted in this work are threefold: initially, the effectiveness of 12 transfer learned DCNN models for crack detection is analyzed on three publicly available datasets: SDNET, CCIC and BSD. With an accuracy of 53.40%, ResNet101 outperformed other models on the SDNET dataset. EfficientNetB0 was the most accurate (98.8%) model on the BSD dataset, and ResNet50 performed better with an accuracy of 99.8% on the CCIC dataset. Secondly, two image enhancement methods are employed to enhance the images and are transferred learned on the 12 DCNNs in pursuance of improving the performance of the SDNET dataset. The results from the experiments show that the enhanced images improved the accuracy of transfer-learned crack detection models significantly. Furthermore, deep features extracted from the last fully connected layer of the DCNNs are used to train the Support Vector Machine (SVM). The integration of deep features with SVM enhanced the detection accuracy across all the DCNN-dataset combinations, according to analysis in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. As mechanized open-pit coal mining intensifies, assessing and predicting slope stability has become increasingly important. To address the limitations of traditional mechanical calculations, numerical simulations, and physical experiments, this paper identifies the key factors impacting slope stability in open-pit mines and develops a multi-parameter sample data set. The study employs hyperparameters optimized using a Bayesian algorithm, introduces additional convolutional layers, and combines the Adam optimizer with dropout techniques to enhance the feature extraction and performance of one-dimensional convolutional neural networks (1D-CNN). This leads to a Bayesian-optimized one-dimensional convolutional neural network (B-1D MCNN) model for predicting slope stability.The study evaluates the classification performance and accuracy of various models for slope stability, including BP neural networks, genetic algorithm-optimized convolutional neural networks, 1D-CNN, and B-1D MCNN, using accuracy, precision, and F1-score as metrics. The analysis also examines the influence of factor indicators and training set length on the model's output to assess its generalization capabilities.The research findings suggest that: (1) the B-1D MCNN model for evaluating slope stability demonstrates the capability to accurately depict the nonlinear correlation between influencing factors and slope stability. (2) Compared with other models, the B-1D MCNN model has shown enhancements of 10.96% to 27.85%, 10.26% to 28.55%, and 8.98% to 25.05% in terms of Accuracy, F1-Score, and Precision, respectively. This research paper presents a comprehensive investigation into the utilization of color image processing technologies and deep learning algorithms in the development of a robot vision system specifically designed for 8-ball billiards. The sport of billiards, with its various games and ball arrangements, presents unique challenges for robotic vision systems. The proposed methodology addresses these challenges through two main components: object detection and ball pattern recognition. Initially, a robust algorithm is employed to detect the billiard balls using color space transformation and thresholding techniques. This is followed by determining the position of the billiard table through strategic cropping and isolation of the primary table area. The crucial phase involves the intricate task of recognizing ball patterns to differentiate between solid and striped balls. To achieve this, a modified convolutional neural network is utilized, leveraging the Xception network optimized by an innovative algorithm known as the Improved Chaos African Vulture Optimization (ICAVO) algorithm. The ICAVO algorithm enhances the Xception network's performance by efficiently exploring the solution space and avoiding local optima. The results of this study demonstrate a significant enhancement in recognition accuracy, with the Xception/ICAVO model achieving remarkable recognition rates for both solid and striped balls. This paves the way for the development of more sophisticated and efficient billiards robots. Over the past decades, the software industry has expanded to include all industries. Since stakeholders tend to use it to get their work done, software houses seek to estimate the cost of the software, which includes calculating the effort, time, and resources required. Although many researchers have worked to estimate it, the prediction accuracy results are still inaccurate and unstable. Estimating it requires a lot of effort. Therefore, there is an urgent need for modern techniques that contribute to cost estimation. This paper seeks to present a model based on deep learning and machine learning techniques by combining convolutional neural networks (CNN) and the particle swarm algorithm (PSO) in the context of time series forecasting, which enables feature extraction and automatic tuning of hyperparameters, which reduces the manual effort of selecting parameters and contributes to fine-tuning. The use of PSO also enhances the robustness and generalization ability of the CNN model and its iterative nature allows for efficient discovery of hyperparameter similarity. The model was trained and tested on 13 different benchmark datasets and evaluated through six metrics: mean absolute error (MAE), mean square error (MSE), mean magnitude relative error (MMRE), root mean square error (RMSE), median magnitude relative error (MdMRE), and prediction accuracy (PRED). Comparative results reveal that the performance of the proposed model is better than other methods for all datasets and evaluation criteria.
