Weyerhaeuser installed a new high-solids crystallizing concentrator in 1995 in its Longview mill. The enhanced design combined the easy operation and fouling resistance of original models with a power consumption rate that is 40% lower than the original design. Operators do not need to pay much attention to the system because of its stability and high degree of automated control.
