The concept of an endpoint is a relatively new concept compared to the concept of a fixed point. The aim of this paper is to perform a convergence analysis of M—iteration involving α—Reich–Suzuki nonexpansive mappings. In this paper, we prove strong and Δ—convergence theorems in a hyperbolic metric space. Thus, our results generalize and improve many existing results.

In this paper, the existence of the solution and its stability to the fractional boundary value problem (FBVP) were investigated for an implicit nonlinear fractional differential equation (VOFDE) of variable order. All existence criteria of the solutions in our establishments were derived via Krasnoselskii’s fixed point theorem and in the sequel, and its Ulam–Hyers–Rassias (U-H-R) stability is checked. An illustrative example is presented at the end of this paper to validate our findings.

The objective of this paper is to define one class of plane curves with arc-length parametrization. To accomplish this, we constructed a novel class of special polynomials and special functions. These functions form a basis of L2(R) space and some of their interesting properties are discussed. The developed curves are used for the linear static analysis of curved Bernoulli–Euler beam. Due to the parametrization with arc length, the exact analytical solution can be obtained. These closed-form solutions serve as the benchmark results for the development of numerical procedures. One such example is provided in this paper.

In this paper, we consider fractional ordinary differential equations and the fractional Euler–Poisson–Darboux equation with fractional derivatives in the form of a power of the Bessel differential operator. Using the technique of the Meijer integral transform and its modification, fundamental solutions to these equations are derived in terms of the Fox–Wright function, the Fox H-function, and their particular cases. We also provide some explicit formulas for the solutions to the corresponding initial-value problems in terms of the generalized convolutions introduced in this paper.

The present paper deals with a class of second-order PDE constrained controlled optimization problems with application in Lagrange–Hamilton dynamics. Concretely, we formulate and prove necessary conditions of optimality for the considered class of control problems driven by multiple integral cost functionals involving second-order partial derivatives. Moreover, an illustrative example is provided to highlight the effectiveness of the results derived in the paper. In the final part of the paper, we present an algorithm to summarize the steps for solving a control problem such as the one investigated here.

Since Gottlieb introduced and investigated the so-called Gottlieb polynomials in 1938, which are discrete orthogonal polynomials, many researchers have investigated these polynomials from diverse angles. In this paper, we aimed to investigate the q-extensions of these polynomials to provide certain q-generating functions for three sequences associated with a finite power series whose coefficients are products of the known q-extended multivariable and multiparameter Gottlieb polynomials and another non-vanishing multivariable function. Furthermore, numerous possible particular cases of our main identities are considered. Finally, we return to Khan and Asif’s q-Gottlieb polynomials to highlight certain connections with several other known q-polynomials, and provide its q-integral representation. Furthermore, we conclude this paper by disclosing our future investigation plan.

After the death of Peter Wynn in December 2017, manuscript documents he left came to our knowledge. They concern continued fractions, rational (Padé) approximation, Thiele interpolation, orthogonal polynomials, moment problems, series, and abstract algebra. The purpose of this paper is to analyze them and to make them available to the mathematical community. Some of them are in quite good shape, almost finished, and ready to be published by anyone willing to check and complete them. Others are rough notes, and need to be reworked. Anyway, we think that these works are valuable additions to the literature on these topics and that they cannot be left unknown since they contain ideas that were never exploited. They can lead to new research and results. Two unpublished papers are also mentioned here for the first time.

Power electronic converters are mathematically represented by a system of ordinary differential equations discontinuous right-hand side that does not verify the conditions of the Cauchy-Lipschitz Theorem. More generally, for the properties that characterize their discontinuous behavior, they represent a particular class of systems on which little has been investigated over the years. The purpose of the paper is to prove the existence of at least one global solution in Filippov’s sense to the Cauchy problem related to the mathematical model of a power converter and also to calculate the error in norm between this solution and the integral of its averaged approximation. The main results are the proof of this theorem and the analytical formulation that provides to calculate the cited error. The demonstration starts by a proof of local existence provided by Filippov himself and already present in the literature for a particular class of systems and this demonstration is generalized to the class of electronic power converters, exploiting the non-chattering property of this class of systems. The obtained results are extremely useful for estimating the accuracy of the averaged model used for analysis or control of the effective system. In the paper, the goodness of the analytical proof is supported by experimental tests carried out on a converter prototype representing the class of power electronics converter.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of n-dimensional Diamond-Alpha integral on time scales. In particular, it transforms into multiple Delta, Nabla and mixed integrals by taking different values of alpha. Some of its properties are explored, and the relationship between it and the multiple mixed integral is provided. As an application, we establish some weighted Ostrowski type inequalities through the new integral. These new inequalities expand some known inequalities in the monographs and papers, and in addition, furnish some other interesting inequalities. Examples of Ostrowski type inequalities are posed in detail at the end of the paper.

The present paper introduces new classes of Stancu–Kantorovich operators constructed in the King sense. For these classes of operators, we establish some convergence results, error estimations theorems and graphical properties of approximation for the classes considered, namely, operators that preserve the test functions e0(x)=1 and e1(x)=x, e0(x)=1 and e2(x)=x2, as well as e1(x)=x and e2(x)=x2. The class of operators that preserve the test functions e1(x)=x and e2(x)=x2 is a genuine generalization of the class introduced by Indrea et al. in their paper “A New Class of Kantorovich-Type Operators”, published in Constr. Math. Anal.

In this paper we give some common fixed point theorems for Ćirić type operators in complex valued b-metric spaces. Also, some corollaries under this contraction condition are obtained. Our results extend and generalize the results of Hammad et al. In the second part of the paper, in order to strengthen our main results, an illustrative example and some applications are given.

This paper describes a number of simple but quite effective methods for constructing exact solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations that involve a relatively small amount of intermediate calculations. The methods employ two main ideas: (i) simple exact solutions can serve to construct more complex solutions of the equations under consideration and (ii) exact solutions of some equations can serve to construct solutions of other, more complex equations. In particular, we propose a method for constructing complex solutions from simple solutions using translation and scaling. We show that in some cases, rather complex solutions can be obtained by adding one or more terms to simpler solutions. There are situations where nonlinear superposition allows us to construct a complex composite solution using similar simple solutions. We also propose a few methods for constructing complex exact solutions to linear and nonlinear PDEs by introducing complex-valued parameters into simpler solutions. The effectiveness of the methods is illustrated by a large number of specific examples (over 30 in total). These include nonlinear heat equations, reaction–diffusion equations, wave type equations, Klein–Gordon type equations, equations of motion through porous media, hydrodynamic boundary layer equations, equations of motion of a liquid film, equations of gas dynamics, Navier–Stokes equations, and some other PDEs. Apart from exact solutions to `ordinary’ partial differential equations, we also describe some exact solutions to more complex nonlinear delay PDEs. Along with the unknown function at the current time, u=u(x,t), these equations contain the same function at a past time, w=u(x,t−τ), where τ&gt, 0 is the delay time. Furthermore, we look at nonlinear partial functional-differential equations of the pantograph type, which, in addition to the unknown u=u(x,t), also contain the same functions with dilated or contracted arguments, w=u(px,qt), where p and q are scaling parameters. We propose an efficient approach to construct exact solutions to such functional-differential equations. Some new exact solutions of nonlinear pantograph-type PDEs are presented. The methods and examples in this paper are presented according to the principle “from simple to complex”.

Recently Panda et al. obtained some identities for the reciprocal sums of balancing and Lucas-balancing numbers. In this paper, we derive general identities related to reciprocal sums of products of two balancing numbers, products of two Lucas-balancing numbers and products of balancing and Lucas-balancing numbers. The method of this paper can also be applied to even-indexed and odd-indexed Fibonacci, Lucas, Pell and Pell–Lucas numbers.

In this paper, we present some new refinements of Hermite–Hadamard inequalities for continuous convex functions by using (p,q)-calculus. Moreover, we study some new (p,q)-Hermite–Hadamard inequalities for multiple integrals. Many results given in this paper provide extensions of others given in previous research.

This paper is concerned with the orthogonal polynomials. Upper and lower bounds of Legendre polynomials are obtained. Furthermore, entropies associated with discrete probability distributions is a topic considered in this paper. Bounds of the entropies which improve some previously known results are obtained in terms of inequalities. In order to illustrate the results obtained in this paper and to compare them with other results from the literature some graphs are provided.

In 2006, A. Stakhov introduced a new coding/decoding process based on generating matrices of the Fibonacci p-numbers, which he called the Fibonacci coding/decoding method. Stakhov&rsquo, s papers have motivated many other scientists to seek certain generalizations by introducing new additional coefficients into recurrence of Fibonacci p-numbers. In 2013, I. Włoch et al. studied (2,q)-distance Fibonacci numbers F2(q,n) and found some of their combinatorial properties. In this paper, we state a new coding theory based on the sequence (Tq(n))n=&minus, &infin, which is an extension of Włoch&rsquo, s sequence (F2(q,n))n=0&infin

In this paper, we investigate the CUSUM-type estimator of mean change-point models based on m-asymptotically almost negatively associated (m-AANA) sequences. The family of m-AANA sequences contains AANA, NA, m-NA, and independent sequences as special cases. Under some weak conditions, some convergence rates are obtained such as OP(n1/p&minus, 1), OP(n1/p&minus, 1log1/pn) and OP(n&alpha, &minus, 1), where 0&le, &alpha, &lt, 1 and 1&lt, p&le, 2. Our rates are better than the ones obtained by Kokoszka and Leipus (Stat. Probab. Lett., 1998, 40, 385&ndash, 393). In order to illustrate our results, we do perform simulations based on m-AANA sequences. As important applications, we use the CUSUM-type estimator to do the change-point analysis based on three real data such as Quebec temperature, Nile flow, and stock returns for Tesla. Some potential applications to change-point models in finance and economics are also discussed in this paper.

The present paper aims to construct an inequality for bi-warped product submanifolds in a special class of almost metric manifolds, namely nearly Kenmotsu manifolds. As geometric applications, some exceptional cases that generalized several other inequalities are discussed. We also deliberate some applications in the context of mathematical physics and derive a new relation between the Dirichlet energy and the second fundamental form. Finally, we present a constructive remark at the end of this paper which shows the motive of the study.

In this paper, we extend our previous study regarding a Riemannian manifold endowed with a singular (or regular) distribution, generalizing Bochner&rsquo, s technique and a statistical structure. Following the construction of an almost Lie algebroid, we define the central concept of the paper: The Weitzenb&ouml, ck type curvature operator on tensors, prove the Bochner&ndash, Weitzenb&ouml, ck type formula and obtain some vanishing results about the null space of the Hodge type Laplacian on a distribution.

Let Ckn,l be a simple closed k-curves with l elements in Zn and W:=Ckn,l&or, ⋯&or, Ckn,l︷m-times be an m-iterated digital wedges of Ckn,l, and F(Conk(W)) be an alignment of fixed point sets of W. Then, the aim of the paper is devoted to investigating various properties of F(Conk(W)). Furthermore, when proceeding with this work, this paper addresses several unsolved problems. To be specific, we firstly formulate an alignment of fixed point sets of Ckn,l, denoted by F(Conk(Ckn,l)), where l(&ge, 7) is an odd natural number and k&ne, 2n. Secondly, given a digital image (X,k) with X♯=n, we find a certain condition that supports n&minus, 1,n&minus, 2&isin, F(Conk(X)). Thirdly, after finding some features of F(Conk(W)), we develop a method of making F(Conk(W)) perfect according to the (even or odd) number l of Ckn,l. Finally, we prove that the perfectness of F(Conk(W)) is equivalent to that of F(Conk(Ckn,l)). This can play an important role in studying fixed point theory and digital curve theory. This paper only deals with k-connected digital images (X,k) such that X♯&ge, 2.

This paper deals with the oscillation of the first-order differential equation with several delay arguments x′t+∑i=1mpitxτit=0,t≥t0, where the functions pi,τi∈Ct0,∞,R+, for every i=1,2,…,m,τit≤t for t≥t0 and limt→∞τit=∞. In this paper, the state-of-the-art on the sharp oscillation conditions are presented. In particular, several sufficient oscillation conditions are presented and it is shown that, under additional hypotheses dealing with slowly varying at infinity functions, some of the “liminf” oscillation conditions can be essentially improved replacing “liminf” by “limsup”. The importance of the slowly varying hypothesis and the essential improvement of the sufficient oscillation conditions are illustrated by examples.

The Łukasiewicz conjunction (sometimes also considered to be a logic of absolute comparison), which is used in multivalued logic and in fuzzy set theory, is one of the most important t-norms. In combination with the binary operation ‘maximum’, the Łukasiewicz t-norm forms the basis for the so-called max-Łuk algebra, with applications to the investigation of systems working in discrete steps (discrete events systems; DES, in short). Similar algebras describing the work of DES’s are based on other pairs of operations, such as max-min algebra, max-plus algebra, or max-T algebra (with a given t-norm, T). The investigation of the steady states in a DES leads to the study of the eigenvectors of the transition matrix in the corresponding max-algebra. In real systems, the input values are usually taken to be in some interval. Various types of interval eigenvectors of interval matrices in max-min and max-plus algebras have been described. This paper is oriented to the investigation of strong, strongly tolerable, and strongly universal interval eigenvectors in a max-Łuk algebra. The main method used in this paper is based on max-Ł linear combinations of matrices and vectors. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the recognition of strong, strongly tolerable, and strongly universal eigenvectors have been found. The theoretical results are illustrated by numerical examples.

Using the recently introduced Sălăgean integro-differential operator, three new classes of bi-univalent functions are introduced in this paper. In the study of bi-univalent functions, estimates on the first two Taylor&ndash, Maclaurin coefficients are usually given. We go further in the present paper and bounds of the first three coefficients a 2 , a 3 and a 4 of the functions in the newly defined classes are given. Obtaining Fekete&ndash, Szego inequalities for different classes of functions is a topic of interest at this time as it will be shown later by citing recent papers. So, continuing the study on the coefficients of those classes, the well-known Fekete&ndash, Szego functional is obtained for each of the three classes.

In this paper, we study the oscillatory behavior of solutions for a type of generalized proportional fractional differential equations with forcing and damping terms. Several oscillation criteria are established for the proposed equations in terms of Riemann-Liouville and Caputo settings. The results of this paper generalize some existing theorems in the literature. Indeed, it is shown that for particular choices of parameters, the obtained conditions in this paper reduce our theorems to some known results. Numerical examples are constructed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the our main theorems. Furthermore, we present and illustrate an example which does not satisfy the assumptions of our theorem and whose solution demonstrates nonoscillatory behavior.

We develop our study in the setting of b-metric spaces because they allow to consider some families of functions endowed with b-metrics deriving from similarity measures that are more general than norms. Taking into account that the contractivity condition we will employ is very general (of Hardy-Rogers type), we will discuss the validation and usage of this novel condition. In this survey paper, we present both some basic properties of the four-parameters Wright function and its applications in Fractional Calculus. For applications in Fractional Calculus, the four-parameters Wright function of the second kind is especially important. In the paper, three case studies illustrating a wide spectrum of its applications are presented. The first case study deals with the scale-invariant solutions to a one-dimensional time-fractional diffusion-wave equation that can be represented in terms of the Wright function of the second kind and the four-parameters Wright function of the second kind. In the second case study, we consider a subordination formula for the solutions to a multi-dimensional space-time-fractional diffusion equation with different orders of the fractional derivatives. The kernel of the subordination integral is a special case of the four-parameters Wright function of the second kind. Finally, in the third case study, we shortly present an application of an operational calculus for a composed Erdélyi-Kober fractional operator for solving some initial-value problems for the fractional differential equations with the left- and right-hand sided Erdélyi-Kober fractional derivatives. In particular, we present an example with an explicit solution in terms of the four-parameters Wright function of the second kind.

In this present paper we study the non-local Hadmard proportional integrals recently proposed by Rahman et al. (Advances in Difference Equations, (2019) 2019:454) which containing exponential functions in their kernels. Then we establish certain new weighted fractional integral inequalities involving a family of n ( n &isin, N ) positive functions by utilizing Hadamard proportional fractional integral operator. The inequalities presented in this paper are more general than the inequalities existing in the literature.

This paper is devoted to the study of the stability of finite-dimensional distribution of time-inhomogeneous, discrete-time Markov chains on a general state space. The main result of the paper provides an estimate for the absolute difference of finite-dimensional distributions of a given time-inhomogeneous Markov chain and its perturbed version. By perturbation, we mean here small changes in the transition probabilities. Stability estimates are obtained using the coupling method.

Given a Khalimsky (for short, K-) topological space X, the present paper examines if there are some relationships between the contractibility of X and the existence of the fixed point property of X. Based on a K-homotopy for K-topological spaces, we firstly prove that a K-homeomorphism preserves a K-homotopy between two K-continuous maps. Thus, we obtain that a K-homeomorphism preserves K-contractibility. Besides, the present paper proves that every simple closed K-curve in the n-dimensional K-topological space, S C K n , l , n &ge, 2 , l &ge, 4 , is not K-contractible. This feature plays an important role in fixed point theory for K-topological spaces. In addition, given a K-topological space X, after developing the notion of K-contractibility relative to each singleton { x } ( &sub, X ) , we firstly compare it with the concept of K-contractibility of X. Finally, we prove that the K-contractibility does not imply the K-contractibility relative to each singleton { x 0 } ( &sub, X ) . Furthermore, we deal with certain conjectures involving the (almost) fixed point property in the categories KTC and KAC, where KTC (see Section 3) (resp. KAC (see Section 5)) denotes the category of K-topological (resp. KA-) spaces, KA-) spaces are subgraphs of the connectedness graphs of the K-topology on Z n .

This paper studies the periodic solutions of a four-dimensional coupled polynomial system with N-degree homogeneous nonlinearities of which the unperturbed linear system has a center singular point in generalization resonance 1 : n at the origin. Considering arbitrary positive integers n and N with n ≤ N and N ≥ 2 , the new explicit expression of displacement function for the four-dimensional system is detected by introducing the technique on power trigonometric integrals. Then some precise and detailed results in comparison with the existing works, including the existence condition, the exact number, and the parameter control conditions of periodic solutions, are obtained, which can provide a new theoretical description and mechanism explanation for the phenomena of emergence and disappearance of periodic solutions. Results obtained in this paper improve certain existing results under some parameter conditions and can be extensively used in engineering applications. To verify the applicability and availability of the new theoretical results, as an application, the periodic solutions of a circular mesh antenna model are obtained by theoretical method and numerical simulations.

In the paper, the author gives a solution to a conjecture on a double inequality for a function involving the tri- and tetra-gamma functions, which was first posed in Remark 6 of the paper &ldquo, Complete monotonicity of a function involving the tri- and tetragamma functions&rdquo, (2015) and repeated in the seventh open problem of the paper &ldquo, On complete monotonicity for several classes of functions related to ratios of gamma functions&rdquo, (2019).

Some new concepts of the higher order strongly convex functions involving an arbitrary bifuction are considered in this paper. Some properties of the higher order strongly convex functions are investigated under suitable conditions. Some important special cases are discussed. The parallelogram laws for Banach spaces are obtained as applications of higher order strongly affine convex functions as novel applications. Results obtained in this paper can be viewed as refinement and improvement of previously known results.

The aim of this paper is to study, from an algebraic point of view, the properties of interdependencies between sets of elements (i.e., pieces of secrets, atmospheric variables, etc.) that appear in various natural models, by using the algebraic hyperstructure theory. Starting from specific examples, we first define the relation of dependence and study its properties, and then, we construct various hyperoperations based on this relation. We prove that two of the associated hypergroupoids are Hv-groups, while the other two are, in some particular cases, only partial hypergroupoids. Besides, the extensivity and idempotence property are studied and related to the cyclicity. The second goal of our paper is to provide a new interpretation of the dependence relation by using elements of the theory of algebraic hyperstructures. Cílem našeho článku je studovat, z algebraického pohledu, vlastnosti závislostí mezi množinami prvků (atmosférické veličiny, sdílená tajemství apod.), které se objevují v různých obvyklých kontextecb. K tomuto studiu používáme algebraickou teorii hyperstruktur. Na konkrétních příkadech ukazujeme, jaké vlastnosti jsou vyžadovány a jak jim musí odpovídat definice tohoto pojmu. Ukazujeme, že dva z hypergrupoidů, které lze tímto způsobem přirozeně zkonstruovat, jsou Hv-grupy, zatímco jiné dva jsou parciální hypergrupoidy. Studujeme také extenzivitu a idempotentnost příslušných vlastností a jejich vztah k cyklicitě. Dalším cílem našeho článku je poskytnout nový pohled na zkoumanou problematiku právě zapojením algebraické teorie hyperstruktur.

In this paper, we present some Euler-like sums involving partial sums of the harmonic and odd harmonic series. First, we give a brief historical account of Euler&rsquo, s work on the subject followed by notations used in the body of the paper. After discussing some alternating Euler sums, we investigate the connection of integrals of inverse trigonometric and hyperbolic type functions to generate many new Euler sum identities. We also give some new identities for Catalan&rsquo, s constant, Apery&rsquo, s constant and a fast converging identity for the famous &zeta, ( 2 ) constant.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of a n 0 -order weighted pseudo &Delta, n 0 &delta, almost automorphic function under the matched space for time scales and we present some properties. The results are valid for q-difference dynamic equations among others. Moreover, we obtain some sufficient conditions for the existence of weighted pseudo &Delta, almost automorphic mild solutions to a class of semilinear dynamic equations under the matched space. Finally, we end the paper with a further discussion and some open problems of this topic.

Recently, type 2 degenerate Euler polynomials and type 2 q-Euler polynomials were studied, respectively, as degenerate versions of the type 2 Euler polynomials as well as a q-analog of the type 2 Euler polynomials. In this paper, we consider the type 2 degenerate q-Euler polynomials, which are derived from the fermionic p-adic q-integrals on Z p , and investigate some properties and identities related to these polynomials and numbers. In detail, we give for these polynomials several expressions, generating function, relations with type 2 q-Euler polynomials and the expression corresponding to the representation of alternating integer power sums in terms of Euler polynomials. One novelty about this paper is that the type 2 degenerate q-Euler polynomials arise naturally by means of the fermionic p-adic q-integrals so that it is possible to easily find some identities of symmetry for those polynomials and numbers, as were done previously.

Starlike functions have gained popularity both in literature and in usage over the past decade. In this paper, our aim is to examine some useful problems dealing with q-starlike functions. These include the convolution problem, sufficiency criteria, coefficient estimates, and Fekete&ndash, Szeg&ouml, type inequalities for a new subfamily of analytic and multivalent functions associated with circular domain. In addition, we also define and study a Bernardi integral operator in its q-extension for multivalent functions. Furthermore, we will show that the class defined in this paper, along with the obtained results, generalizes many known works available in the literature.

In this paper, we study the existence of solutions for a new class of fractional q-integro-difference equations involving Riemann-Liouville q-derivatives and a q-integral of different orders, supplemented with boundary conditions containing q-integrals of different orders. The first existence result is obtained by means of Krasnoselskii&rsquo, s fixed point theorem, while the second one relies on a Leray-Schauder nonlinear alternative. The uniqueness result is derived via the Banach contraction mapping principle. Finally, illustrative examples are presented to show the validity of the obtained results. The paper concludes with some interesting observations.

Recently a lot of papers have been devoted to partial infinite reciprocal sums of a higher-order linear recursive sequence. In this paper, we continue this program by finding a sequence which is asymptotically equivalent to partial infinite sums, including a reciprocal of polynomial applied to linear higher order recurrences.

The extending structures problem for strict Lie 2-algebras is studied. To provide the theoretical answer to this problem, this paper introduces the unified product of a given strict Lie 2-algebra g and 2-vector space V. The unified product includes some interesting products such as semi-direct product, crossed product, and bicrossed product. The paper focuses on crossed and bicrossed products, which give the answer to the extension problem and factorization problem, respectively.

In the paper, we introduce some subclasses of harmonic mapping, the analytic part of which is related to general starlike (or convex) functions with a symmetric conjecture point defined by subordination. Using the conditions satisfied by the analytic part, we obtain the integral expressions, the coefficient estimates, distortion estimates and the growth estimates of the co-analytic part g, and Jacobian estimates, the growth estimates and covering theorem of the harmonic function f. Through the above research, the geometric properties of the classes are obtained. In particular, we draw figures of extremum functions to better reflect the geometric properties of the classes. For the first time, we introduce and obtain the properties of harmonic univalent functions with respect to symmetric conjugate points. The conclusion of this paper extends the original research.

In this paper, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions for a nonlinear Langevin equation based on Liouville-Caputo-type generalized fractional differential operators of different orders, supplemented with nonlocal boundary conditions involving a generalized integral operator. The modern techniques of functional analysis are employed to obtain the desired results. The paper concludes with illustrative examples.

In this paper, by employing matched spaces for time scales, we introduce a &delta, almost periodic function and obtain some related properties. Also the hull equation for homogeneous dynamic equation is introduced and results of the existence are presented. In the sense of admitting exponential dichotomy for the homogeneous equation, the expression of a &delta, almost periodic solution for a type of nonhomogeneous dynamic equation is obtained and the existence of &delta, almost periodic solutions for new delay dynamic equations is considered. The results in this paper are valid for delay q-difference equations and delay dynamic equations whose delays may be completely separated from the time scale T .

In this paper, we prove some new Ostrowski-type integral inequalities for q-differentiable bounded functions. It is also shown that the results presented in this paper are a generalization of know results in the literarure. Applications to special means are also discussed.

This paper is concerned with an SIS epidemic reaction-diffusion model. The purpose of this paper is to derive some effects of the spatial heterogeneity of the recovery rate on the total population of infected and the reproduction number. The proof is based on an application of our previous result on the unboundedness of the ratio of the species to the resource for a diffusive logistic equation. Our pure mathematical result can be epidemically interpreted as that a regional difference in the recovery rate can make the infected population grow in the case when the reproduction number is slightly larger than one.

Let Z(s)=(Z1(s),…,Zp(s))t be an isotropic second-order stationary multivariate spatial process. We measure the statistical association between the p random components of Z with the correlation coefficients and measure the spatial dependence with variograms. If two of the Z components are correlated, the spatial information provided by one of them can improve the information of the other. To capture this association, both within components of Z(s) and across s, we use a cross-variogram. Only two robust cross-variogram estimators have been proposed in the literature, both by Lark, and their sample distributions were not obtained. In this paper, we propose new robust cross-variogram estimators, following the location estimation method instead of the scale estimation one considered by Lark, thus extending the results obtained by García-Pérez to the multivariate case. We also obtain accurate approximations for their sample distributions using saddlepoint techniques and assuming a multivariate-scale contaminated normal model. The question of the independence of the transformed variables to avoid the usual dependence of spatial observations is also considered in the paper, linking it with the acceptance of linear variograms and cross-variograms.

The present paper concretizes the models proposed by S. Ri and N. Secelean. S. Ri proposed the construction of the fractal interpolation function (FIF) considering finite systems consisting of Rakotch contractions, but produced no concretization of the model. N. Secelean considered countable systems of Banach contractions to produce the fractal interpolation function. Based on the abovementioned results, in this paper, we propose two different algorithms to produce the fractal interpolation functions both in the affine and non-affine cases. The theoretical context we were working in suppose a countable set of starting points and a countable system of Rakotch contractions. Due to the computational restrictions, the algorithms constructed in the applications have the weakness that they use a finite set of starting points and a finite system of Rakotch contractions. In this respect, the attractor obtained is a two-step approximation. The large number of points used in the computations and the graphical results lead us to the conclusion that the attractor obtained is a good approximation of the fractal interpolation function in both cases, affine and non-affine FIFs. In this way, we also provide a concretization of the scheme presented by C.M. Păcurar.

In this paper, we define (p,q)-integrals for continuous functions of two variables. Then, we prove the Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities for coordinated convex functions by using (p,q)-integrals. Many results obtained in this paper provide significant extensions of other related results given in the literature. Finally, we give some examples of our results.

Given a digital image (or digital object) (X,k),X⊂Zn, this paper initially establishes a group structure of the set of self-k-isomorphisms of (X,k) with the function composition, denoted by Isok(X) or Autk(X). In particular, let Ckn,l be a simple closed k-curve with l elements in Zn. Then, the group Isok(Ckn,l) is proved to be isomorphic to the standard dihedral group Dl with order l. The calculation of this quantity Isok(Ckn,l) is a key step for obtaining many new results. Indeed, it is essential for exploring many features of Isok(X). Furthermore, this quantity is proved to be a digital topological invariant. After proceeding with an Isok(X)-action on (X,k), we investigate some properties of fixed point sets by this action. Finally, we explore various features of fixed point sets by this action from the viewpoint of digital k-curve theory. This paper only deals with k-connected digital images (X,k) whose cardinality is equal to or greater than 2. Besides, we discuss some errors that have appeared in the lilterature.

In this paper we investigate the unified theory for solutions of differential equations without impulses and with impulses, even at variable times, allowing the presence of beating phenomena, in the space of regulated functions. One of the aims of the paper is to give sufficient conditions to ensure that a regulated solution of an impulsive problem is globally defined.
