Rewinding machines are used in the paper converting industrial sector to unroll paper veils from large source reels and wind them around smaller rolls, for the production of paper logs to be used in household activities. Many different types of rewinding machine exist, and they are mostly based on stapling devices which automatically unroll a large coil of paper, roll it up around a new log, stop the veil allowing it to be torn off, unload the completed paper log, and reload a new paper core to be rolled up. Winding units generally include a primary and a secondary roller, supplying the desired rotational speed for winding, and a pressure unit consisting of a pressure roller in contact with the paper log being rolled up, which assures adequate containment and avoids the paper log to escape. All known systems have some mechanical limitations, mainly due to the contact of the pressure roller with the paper log, causing instabilities and vibrations, particularly when working with soft paper veils. This limits the maximum possible winding speed. The aim of this paper is it to present a detailed kinematic analysis of a novel pressure unit which overcomes the aforementioned limitation.

This paper presents some new formulas and properties of the generalized fractional derivative with non-singular kernel that covers various types of fractional derivatives such as the Caputo–Fabrizio fractional derivative, the Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivative, and the weighted Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivative. These new properties extend many recent results existing in the literature. Furthermore, the paper proposes some interesting inequalities that estimate the generalized fractional derivatives of some specific functions. These inequalities can be used to construct Lyapunov functions with the aim to study the global asymptotic stability of several fractional-order systems arising from diverse fields of science and engineering.

As more long-span bridges continue to be completed and opened to traffic, the safety of cars driving across the bridge has attracted more and more attention, especially when the car is suddenly affected by the crosswind, the car is likely to have direction deviation or even a rollover accident. In this paper, the large eddy simulation method is used to study the flow field characteristics and safety of the car on the bridge under the turbulent crosswind. The numerical simulation model is established by referring to the Donghai Bridge, and the correctness of the car model is validated by combining with the data of wind tunnel test. The influence of factors such as the porosity and height of the bridge guardrail and the Reynolds number of airflow on the flow field characteristics is analyzed. The study shows that, in order to ensure the safety of cars on the bridge, the bridge guardrail porosity should be small, 35.8% is more suitable, the guardrail height should be more suitable within the range of 1.5–1.625 meters, and the Reynolds number should not be 3.51e + 5. The research results of this paper will provide reference for the optimal design of bridge guardrail.

The random vector functional link (RVFL) network is suitable for solving nonlinear problems from transformer fault symptoms and different fault types due to its simple structure and strong generalization ability. However, the RVFL network has a disadvantage in that the network structure, and parameters are basically determined by experiences. In this paper, we proposed a method to improve the RVFL neural network algorithm by introducing the concept of hidden node sensitivity, classify each hidden layer node, and remove nodes with low sensitivity. The simplified network structure could avoid interfering nodes and improve the global search capability. The five characteristic gases produced by transformer faults are divided into two groups. A fault diagnosis model of three layers with four classifiers was built. We also investigated the effects of the number of hidden nodes and scale factors on RVFL network learning ability. Simulation results show that the number of implicit layer nodes has a large impact on the network model when the number of input dimensions is small. The network requires a higher number of implicit layer neurons and a smaller threshold range. The size of the scale factor has significant influence on the network model with larger input dimension. This paper describes the theoretical basis for parameter selection in RVFL neural networks. The theoretical basis for the selection of the number of hidden nodes, and the scale factor is derived. The importance of parameter selection for the improvement of diagnostic accuracy is verified through simulation experiments in transformer fault diagnosis.

This paper studies the stator winding electromagnetic force behaviors before and after rotor inter-turn short circuit (RISC) in synchronous generator. Different from other studies, this paper not only studies the electromagnetic force characteristics, but also investigates the mechanical responses, the damage regularity, and the countermeasure of the stator winding. Firstly, formulas of electromagnetic force online and end part are obtained. Then, a 3D finite element model of a 3-pair-pole simulation generator is applied to get the electromagnetic force, and the dangerous stator slot is found. Finally, the mechanical response of each end winding is acquired, and especially the directional deformations of nose part are calculated. It shows that the occurrence of RISC will bring in times of rotor rotating frequency components to electromagnetic force, but the DC component and 2p times of rotor rotating frequency components are still the main that will be decreased. Additionally, the winding insulation wear in the same layer is more serious than that in a different layer, nose fatigue fracture begins with the center, and nose insulation wear starts from the top.

With the rapid development of the Internet, various forms of network attack have emerged, so how to detect abnormal behavior effectively and to recognize their attack categories accurately have become an important research subject in the field of cyberspace security. Recently, many hot machine learning-based approaches are applied in the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to construct a data-driven model. The methods are beneficial to reduce the time and cost of manual detection. However, the real-time network data contain an ocean of redundant terms and noises, and some existing intrusion detection technologies have lower accuracy and inadequate ability of feature extraction. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes an intrusion detection method based on the Decision Tree-Recursive Feature Elimination (DT-RFE) feature in ensemble learning. We firstly propose a data processing method by the Decision Tree-Based Recursive Elimination Algorithm to select features and to reduce the feature dimension. This method eliminates the redundant and uncorrelated data from the dataset to achieve better resource utilization and to reduce time complexity. In this paper, we use the Stacking ensemble learning algorithm by combining Decision Tree (DT) with Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE) methods. Finally, a series of comparison experiments by cross-validation on the KDD CUP 99 and NSL-KDD datasets indicate that the DT-RFE and Stacking-based approach can better improve the performance of the IDS, and the accuracy for all kinds of features is higher than 99%, except in the case of U2R accuracy, which is 98%.

Quantitative analysis of the flow field is an effective method to study hydrodynamics. As a flow field measurement technology, the Background Oriented Schlieren (BOS) is widely used. However, it is difficult to measure the complex transparent flow field (flow field with large refractive index gradient) using the BOS experiment. In order to overcome this difficulty and improve the accuracy of the BOS experiment, this paper presents a hybrid adaptive wavelet-based optical flow algorithm for the BOS. The current algorithm is a combination of the traditional optical flow algorithm and the wavelet-based optical flow algorithm. By adding the initial value constraints, the adaptive scale constraints, and the adaptive regularization constraints, the algorithm can effectively overcome the above-mentioned difficulty and also improve its accuracy. To further illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method, this paper uses the simulation data, the data of the DNS datasets, and the data of the BOS experiment to verify the performance of the algorithm. The experiment of comparing the proposed algorithm with the existing ones is carried out on the DNS datasets and the data of the BOS experiment. Finally, the proposed method is verified by a practical BOS experiment. The results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the measurement accuracy of displacements.

An adaptive high-order difference solution about a 2D nonlinear degenerate singular reaction-diffusion equation with a convection term is initially proposed in the paper. After the first and the second central difference operator approximating the first-order and the second-order spatial derivative, respectively, the higher-order spatial derivatives are discretized by applying the Taylor series rule and the temporal derivative is discretized by using the Crank–Nicolson (CN) difference scheme. An alternating direction implicit (ADI) scheme with a nonuniform grid is built in this way. Meanwhile, accuracy analysis declares the second order in time and the fourth order in space under certain conditions. Sequentially, the high-order scheme is performed on an adaptive mesh to demonstrate quenching behaviors of the singular parabolic equation and analyse the influence of combustion chamber size on quenching. The paper displays rationally that the proposed scheme is practicable for solving the 2D quenching-type problem.

The integration of information technology and manufacturing technology (IOITMT) is a strategic idea proposed by China. As the smallest unit of integration, manufacturing enterprises can be seen as the root of IOITMT. However, the current situation of IOITMT in China shows that intelligent manufacturing still has a long way to go and that the implementation effect of IOITMT requires urgent improvement. The dynamic evolution of IOITMT is accompanied by the integration and coevolution of internal technologies and also affects the performance of enterprises. Taking technical efficiency as a measure of IOITMT, the purpose of the current study is to develop an internal dynamic evolutionary mechanism framework for IOITMT of a single cycle in manufacturing enterprises. The framework is based on the theory of self-organization and convergence and uses convergence theory to discuss the evolution mode of technical efficiency in the three stages of IOITMT under the guidance of order parameters. This paper finds that the technical efficiency of IOITMT is influenced by the ratio of convergence parameters r1/r2, and adjusting the convergence intensity can effectively improve the performance of enterprises. Hence, this paper provides important theoretical guidance for the advancement of IOITMT of Chinese manufacturing enterprises.

Elastic waves cause energy loss during the transmission of coal measures. These losses include propagation loss, dielectric absorption loss, scattering loss, and frequency migration loss. The absorption loss is mainly caused by the inelastic absorption. The scattering loss is caused by the uneven heat absorption in the formation. The frequency shift loss is caused by the piezoelectric effect of coal-bearing formations and the intermodulation of different frequency signals. After considering the influence factors of the coal seam structure, this paper presents a model of low-frequency elastic waves loss coefficient. The paper proposed the loss coefficient of the elastic wave in the coal measure strata by considering two main attenuation mechanisms: intrinsic absorption and scattering. This paper theoretically studied the effects of the model parameters such as density, porosity, particle size, and wave frequency on the loss of wave energy using COMSOL simulation. Besides, the comparison of MATLAB simulation results shows that the simulation results produced by the model proposed in this paper are similar to the models embedded in COMSOL. This work can be applied to coal, oil, and gas exploration and is also helpful to study the mechanisms of wave attention on the low-frequency band.

This research paper is about the existence and uniqueness of the coupled system of nonlinear fractional Langevin equations with multipoint and nonlocal integral boundary conditions. The Caputo fractional derivative is used to formulate the fractional differential equations, and the fractional integrals mentioned in the boundary conditions are due to Atangana–Baleanu and Katugampola. The existence of solution has been proven by two main fixed-point theorems: O’Regan’s fixed-point theorem and Krasnoselskii’s fixed-point theorem. By applying Banach’s fixed-point theorem, we proved the uniqueness result for the concerned problem. This research paper highlights the examples related with theorems that have already been proven.

The paper investigates the dynamical behaviors of a two-species discrete predator-prey system with Crowley–Martin functional response incorporating prey refuge proportional to prey density. The existence of equilibrium points, stability of three fixed points, period-doubling bifurcation, Neimark–Sacker bifurcation, Marottos chaos, and Control Chaos are analyzed for the discrete-time domain. The time graphs, phase portraits, and bifurcation diagrams are obtained for different parameters of the model. Numerical simulations and graphics show that the discrete model exhibits rich dynamics, which also present that the system is a chaotic and complex one. This paper attempts to present a feedback control method which can stabilize chaotic orbits at an unstable equilibrium point.

The well-known Stokes’ problems are reexamined by applying the Adomian decomposition method (ADM) associated with other mathematical techniques in this paper. Both the finite-depth (bounded) and infinite-depth (unbounded) cases are analyzed. The present paper raises and deals with two major concerns. The first one is that, for Stokes’ problems, it lacks one boundary condition at the expansion point to fully determine all coefficients of the ADM solution in which an unknown function appears. This unknown function which is dependent on the transformed variable will be determined by the boundary condition at the far end. The second concern is that the derived solution begins to deviate from the exact solution as the spatial variable grows for the unbounded problems. This can be greatly improved by introducing the Padé approximant to satisfy the boundary condition at the far end. For the second problems, the derived ADM solution can be easily separated into the steady-state and the transient parts for a deeper comprehension of the flow. The present result shows an excellent agreement with the exact solution. The ADM is therefore verified to be a reliable mathematical method to analyze Stokes’ problems of finite and infinite depths.

Finding exact solutions of nonlinear equations plays an important role in nonlinear science, especially in engineering and mathematical physics. In this paper, we employed the complex method to get eight exact solutions of the modified BBM equation for the first time, including two elliptic function solutions, two simply periodic solutions, and four rational function solutions. We used the exp − ϕ z -expansion methods to get fourteen forms of solutions of the modified BBM equation. We also used the sine-cosine method to obtain eight styles’ exact solutions of the modified BBM equation. Only the complex method can obtain elliptic function solutions. We believe that the complex method presented in this paper can be more effectively applied to seek solutions of other nonlinear evolution equations.

When a combine harvester is harvesting in field under complicated conditions, vibration characteristics of the chassis frame under the excitation of multiple sources are complex and changeable. In order to analyze the vibration characteristics of the chassis frame of the combine harvester under complex working conditions and multisource excitation, this paper carried out three-dimensional modeling and static calculation of the chassis frame of the combine harvester. On this basis, the experimental modal analysis was carried out on the designed chassis frame, and finally, the vibration response under multiple excitations and complex working conditions was tested and analyzed in the field. Results showed that when the combine harvester was fully loaded, the maximum bending moment was at the load-bearing beam under the grain box. The maximum bending moment was 2298.08 N/m, and it was located at the cross section of the left end of the bearing beam at 1.61 m. When the components of the whole machine were working, the vibration of the chassis frame at the rear right was the most intense. The horizontal vibration of the threshing drum, the reciprocating motion generated by the vibrating screen, and the vertical vibration generated by the engine were the main vibration sources of the combine harvester in the three directions of X, Y, and Z. With the i\ncrease of engine speed, the excitation capacity of each working component connected to the engine on the whole machine increased. The results of this paper provide experimental basis for the research on the vibration characteristics of the chassis frame of the rice combine harvester under multisource excitation and also provide a reference for the further improvement of the chassis frame of the combine harvester.

In order to solve the flood discharge problem of both small- and medium-sized warping dams in the Loess Plateau, a stepped spillway scheme, based on an ecological bag, to achieve full-section water flow and energy dissipation has been proposed in this paper. The hydraulic and energy dissipation characteristics of a stepped spillway layout scheme were studied using 3D numerical simulation. As the height of the dams is low and the spillways are short, the research has shown that the traditional single-step layout scheme leads to a low overall energy dissipation rate due to the small amount of energy dissipated in the initial steps. As a result of this, this paper has put forward two kinds of step layout schemes such as the shunt type and the staggered type for the initial steps. Through analysis of the flow state, the pressure distribution, and the total energy dissipation rate, the results have shown that shunt type and staggered type with front step deformation produced an obvious mixing of the water flow, fewer negative pressure areas, and a higher energy dissipation rate. The optimal energy dissipation rate of the staggered type reached 87.75%, and the maximum energy dissipation rate was increased by 27.97%.

Self-sustained oscillation has the advantages of harvesting energy from the environment and self-control, and thus, the development of new self-oscillating systems can greatly expand its applications in active machines. In this paper, based on conventional photothermal shrinkable material or photothermal expansive material, a simple pendulum is proposed. The light-powered self-sustained oscillation of the simple pendulum is theoretically studied by establishing a dynamic model of the photothermal-responsive pendulum. The results show that there are two motion modes of the simple pendulum, which are the static mode and the oscillation mode. Based on the photothermal-responsive model, this paper elucidates the mechanism of the self-excited oscillation. The condition for triggering self-excited oscillation is further studied. In addition, the influence of the system parameters on the amplitude and frequency is also obtained. This study may have potential applications in energy harvesting, signal monitoring, and soft machines.

The on-board power supply system provides power for the launch vehicle. The power transmission and transformation system plays an irreplaceable role to ensure that the on-board power supply system receives the normal working voltage of the launch vehicle. There are many types of faults in power transmission and transformation systems. The traditional faulty diagnosis method of power transmission and transformation equipment has the disadvantages of being susceptible to experts’ subjectivity and model’s ossification. In this paper, a new method of equipment fault diagnosis based on big data is proposed. On the basis of big data, this paper introduces the failure mode clustering algorithm, the state parameter correlation analysis algorithm, the fault diagnosis method based on the correlation matrix, and other key fault diagnosis technologies. The fault record data of the 400 kV voltage grade oil-immersed transformer bushing in the past ten years by a Chinese combat unit is used as a case for demonstration. The results show that the accuracy rate of SC-LSTM-K-means clustering model exceeds 95%. And the fault classification mode can be accurately obtained. A priori correlation algorithm with TA coefficient can be used to evaluate the strong and weak relationship between the state parameters; the fault diagnosis matrix based on Pearson’s correlation coefficient can accurately determine the fault mode consistent with the actual operation and maintenance test results. Therefore, the fault diagnosis method of power transmission and transformation system based on big data can both effectively obtain the inherent laws of historical data and realize more accurate fault diagnosis with data adaptability.

Since the human society entered the electrification era, people’s work, life, and even the production and development of various industries in society are inseparable from the supply of electricity. The purpose of this paper is to establish a cable insulation life evaluation model based on the improved fuzzy analytic hierarchy process to test the current insulation characteristics and life of various types of cables, so as to ensure the quality of power supply and safe production of power. This paper first understands the cable insulation characteristics test process and electrical power-related knowledge through a large number of literature studies and consultation with power grid professionals. Then this paper combines the theoretical research and improvement of the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process based on the actual situation of the cable insulation characteristics, thereby constructing the cable insulation life evaluation model. In this evaluation model, this paper combines the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and the analytic hierarchy process as well as the actual situation of the cable characteristic test to analyze and predict the insulation life of the cable. Finally, the linear test and reliability estimation of the experimental results are carried out, and the application of this evaluation model is extended to the evaluation of insulation life of other types of cables. Based on this, this paper proposes a cable insulation life evaluation model based on the improved fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. This model combines the Weibull model and the Arrhenius model commonly used in the assessment of cable insulation aging life and the improved fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. Experiments have proved that, within a certain range, temperature factors have a significant impact on the cable insulation life. For example, when the temperature is below 55°C, the insulation life of the cable is usually 30 to 50 years. However, the evaluation model of the improved fuzzy analytic hierarchy process in this paper has much higher accuracy in evaluating cable insulation life than other life evaluation methods.

This paper proposes a chaotic color image encryption scheme based on DNA-coding calculations and arithmetic over the Galois field. Firstly, three modified one-dimensional (1D) chaotic maps with larger key space and better chaotic characteristics are presented. The experimental results show that their chaotic intervals are not only expanded to 0,15, but their average largest Lyapunov Exponent reaches 10. They are utilized as initial keys. Secondly, DNA coding and calculations are applied in order to add more permutation of the cryptosystem. Ultimately, the numeration over the Galois field ensures the effect for the diffusion of pixels. The simulation analysis shows that the encryption scheme proposed in this paper has good encryption effect, and the numerical results verify that it has higher security than some of the latest cryptosystems.

Smart grid is the inevitable trend of power grid technology development. As an important terminal apparatus in the power grid, the overload protection method of bimetal used by traditional miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) is difficult to meet the requirements of smart grid. Bimetal uses the thermal effect of current for overload protection, so in this paper, the thermal effect is used to calculate the current. Also, all current carrying conductors except superconductors will generate heat, and the heat will not be saturated, which can meet the characteristics of miniature circuit breakers with small volume and large current. Compared with other current calculation methods, the proposed method has simple structure and wide measurement range, which is an effective way to solve the problem of intelligent MCBs. After derivation, the algorithm in this paper is not affected by the convection coefficient. The experimental results show that the error of the algorithm is less than 5%.

In order to effectively enhance the low detection rates of dim and small targets caused by dynamic backgrounds, this paper proposes a detection algorithm for dim and small targets in sequence images based on spatiotemporal motion characteristics. With regard to the spatial domain, this paper proposes an improved anisotropic background filtering algorithm that makes full use of the gradient differences between the target and the background pixels in the eight directions of the spatial domain and selects the mean value of the three directions with the lowest diffusion function in the eight directions as the differential filter to obtain a differential image. Then, the paper proposes a directional energy correlation enhancement algorithm in the time domain. Finally, based on the above preprocessing operations, we construct a dim and small targets detection algorithm in sequence images with local motion characteristics, which achieves target detection by determining the number of occurrences of the target, the number of displacements, and the total cumulative area in these sequential images. Experiments show that the proposed detection algorithm in this paper can effectively improve the detection of dim and small targets in dynamic scenes.

In this paper, we investigate pattern dynamics with multivariable by using the method of matrix analysis and obtain a condition under which the system loses stability and Turing bifurcation occurs. In addition, we also derive the amplitude equation with multivariable. This is an effective tool to investigate multivariate pattern dynamics. The example and simulation used in this paper validate our theoretical results. The method presented is a novel approach to the investigation of specific real systems based on the model developed in this paper.

Based on Schwarz–Christoffel mapping, this paper presents a fast analytical method to analyze the electromagnetic force of eccentric axial flux permanent magnet machines, considering static, dynamic, and mixed eccentricities. A quasi-3D model of an axial flux permanent magnet machine is established, and the magnetic field is obtained by Schwarz–Christoffel mapping. The electromagnetic force density is obtained by the Maxwell stress tensor method, and the electromagnetic force density is used to characterize the variation of electromagnetic force. The distribution law of electromagnetic force is investigated. The calculated results are verified by the finite element method, which has shown that the method in this paper can be widely used in the analysis of axial flux permanent magnet machines.

In this paper, a new geometric structure of projective invariants is proposed. Compared with the traditional invariant calculation method based on 3D reconstruction, this method is comparable in the reliability of invariant calculation. According to this method, the only thing needed to find out is the geometric relationship between 3D points and 2D points, and the invariant can be obtained by using a single frame image. In the method based on 3D reconstruction, the basic matrix of two images is estimated first, and then, the 3D projective invariants are calculated according to the basic matrix. Therefore, in terms of algorithm complexity, the method proposed in this paper is superior to the traditional method. In this paper, we also study the projection transformation from a 3D point to a 2D point in space. According to this relationship, the geometric invariant relationships of other point structures can be easily derived, which have important applications in model-based object recognition. At the same time, the experimental results show that the eight-point structure invariants proposed in this paper can effectively describe the essential characteristics of the 3D structure of the target, without the influence of view, scaling, lighting, and other link factors, and have good stability and reliability.

In this paper, a novel chaotic new three-dimensional system has been studied by Zhang et al. in 2012. In the system, there are three control parameters and three different nonlinear terms which governed equations. Zhang et al. studied elementary (preliminary) dynamic properties of the chaotic new three-dimensional system by means of bifurcation diagram, maximum Lyapunov exponent, phase portraits, dynamics behaviors by changing some parameters etc., using all possible theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. In this paper, we have demonstrated its complete synchronization. The proposed results are verified by numerical simulations.

During water filling a long-slope pipeline, air pocket is very likely to be entrapped at peak point. In order to track air movement and predict air removal conditions, a mathematical model of air pocket evolution, including its formation, compression, and entrainment, is proposed in this paper. The simulation results were compared with the engineering field data and the two are basically consistent. Furthermore, the two most important factors which play a great role in the removal of air pocket, i.e., the terrain category and the inlet flow rate, are analyzed in detail. It is concluded that the removal conditions reach three outcomes: air pocket compressed and partly removed, compressed and completely removed, and compressed without any removal. In this paper, the terrain which leads to the last outcome is called the “Dangerous Terrain.” And for the “Dangerous Terrain,” it is of great importance that the inlet flow rate should be strictly confined within a certain level. While for the other two categories of terrains, an increased flow rate is in any respect beneficial to the removal of air pocket.

In order to more accurately predict the coupled in-line and cross-flow vortex-induced vibration (VIV) response of deep-water marine drilling risers in linearly sheared flows, an improved three-dimensional time-domain coupled model based on van der Pol wake oscillator models was established in this paper. The impact of the in-line and cross-flow changing added mass coefficients was taken into account in the model. The finite element, Newmark-β, and Newton–Raphson methods were adopted to solve the coupled nonlinear partial differential equations. The entire numerical solution process was realized by a self-developed program based on MATLAB. Comparisons between the numerical calculations and the published experimental tests showed that the improved model can more accurately predict some main features of the coupled in-line and cross-flow VIV of long slender flexible risers in linearly sheared flows to some extent. The coupled in-line and cross-flow VIV of a real-size marine drilling riser, usually used in the deep-water oil/gas industry in the South China Sea, was analyzed. The influence of top tension force and seawater flow speed, as well as platform heave amplitude and frequency, on the riser in-line and cross-flow VIV was also discussed. The results show that the platform heave motion increases the VIV displacements and changes the magnitudes of peak frequencies as well as the components of frequencies. The platform heave motion also has a significant influence on the vibration modes of the middle and upper sections of the riser. The impact level of each factor on the in-line and cross-flow VIV response of the riser is different. The improved model and the results of this paper can be used as a reference for the engineering design of deep-water marine drilling risers.

This manuscript studies the computational solutions of the highly dimensional elastic and nonelastic interaction between internal waves through the fractional nonlinear (4 + 1)-dimensional Fokas equation. This equation is considered as the extension model of the two-dimensional Davey–Stewartson (DS) and Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equations to a four spatial dimensions equation with time domain. The modified Khater method is employed along the Atangana–Baleanu (AB) derivative operator to construct many novel explicit wave solutions. These solutions explain more physical and dynamical behavior of that kind of the interaction. Moreover, 2D, 3D, contour, and stream plots are demonstrated to explain the detailed dynamical characteristics of these solutions. The novelty of our paper is shown by comparing our results with those obtained in previous published research papers.

This paper aims to investigate the stationary probability density functions of the Duffing oscillator with time delay subjected to combined harmonic and white noise excitation by the method of stochastic averaging and equivalent linearization. By the transformation based on the fundamental matrix of the degenerate Duffing system, the paper shows that the displacement and the velocity with time delay in the Duffing oscillator can be computed approximately in non-time delay terms. Hence, the stochastic system with time delay is transformed into the corresponding stochastic non-time delay equation in Ito sense. The approximate stationary probability density function of the original system can be found by combining the stochastic averaging method, the equivalent linearization method, and the technique of auxiliary function. The response of Duffing oscillator is investigated. The analytical results are verified by numerical simulation results.

First of all, we establish a three-dimension open Kaldorian business cycle model under the condition of the fixed exchange rate. Secondly, with regard to the model, we discuss the existence of equilibrium point and the stability of the system near it with a time delay in currency supply as the bifurcating parameters of the system. Thirdly, we discuss the existence of Hopf bifurcation and investigate the stability of periodic solution generated by the Hopf bifurcation; then the direction of the Hopf bifurcation is given. Finally, a numerical simulation is given to confirm the theoretical results. This paper plays an important role in theoretical researching on the model of business cycle, and it is crucial for decision-maker to formulate the macroeconomic policies with the conclusions of this paper.

With new three-segment piecewise-linearity in the classic Chua’s system, two new types of 2-scroll and 3-scroll Chua’s attractors are found in this paper. By changing the outer segment slope of the three-segment piecewise-linearity as positive, the new 2-scroll Chua’s attractor has emerged from one zero index-1 saddle-focus and two symmetric stable nonzero node-foci. In particular, by newly introducing a piecewise-linear control function, an improved Chua’s system only with one zero index-2 saddle-focus and two stable nonzero node-foci is constructed, from which a 3-scroll Chua’s attractor is converged. Some remarks for Chua’s nonlinearities and the generating chaotic attractors are discussed, and the stabilities at the three equilibrium points are then analyzed, upon which the emerging mechanisms of the novel 2-scroll and 3-scroll Chua’s attractors are explored in depth. Furthermore, an analog electronic circuit built with operational amplifier and analog multiplier is designed and hardware circuit experiments are measured to verify the numerical simulations. These novel 2-scroll and 3-scroll Chua’s attractors reported in this paper are completely different from the classic Chua’s attractors, which will enrich the dynamics of the classic Chua’s system.

This paper studies the stabilization problem for a class of unified chaotic systems subject to uncertainties and input nonlinearity. Based on the sliding mode control theory, we present a new method for the sliding mode controller design and the control law algorithm for such systems. In order to achieve the goal of stabilization unified chaotic systems, the presented controller can make the movement starting from any point in the state space reach the sliding mode in limited time and asymptotically reach the origin along the switching surface. Compared with the existing literature, the controller designed in this paper has many advantages, such as small chattering, good stability, and less conservative. The analysis of the motion equation and the simulation results all demonstrate that the method is effective.

Aiming at the problem that stereo matching accuracy is easily affected by noise and amplitude distortion, a stereo matching algorithm based on HSV color space and improved census transform is proposed. In the cost calculation stage, the color image is first converted from RGB space to HSV space; moreover, the hue channel is used as the matching primitive to establish the hue absolute difference (HAD) cost calculation function, which reduces the amount of calculation and enhances the robustness of matching. Then, to solve the problem of the traditional census transform overrelying on the central pixel and to improve the noise resistance of the algorithm, an improved census method based on neighborhood weighting is also proposed. Finally, the HAD cost and the improved census cost are nonlinearly fused as the initial cost. In the aggregation stage, an outlier elimination method based on confidence interval is proposed. By calculating the confidence interval of the aggregation window, this paper eliminates the cost value that is not in the confidence interval and subsequently filters as well as aggregates the remaining costs to further reduce the noise interference and improve the matching accuracy. Experiments show that the proposed method can not only effectively suppress the influence of noise, but also achieve a more robust matching effect in scenes with changing exposure and lighting conditions.

In this paper, we propose 4 theoretical models to deal with the wild hornet crisis. First, we use ORIGIN to visualize the distribution of wild wasps. Using the least square method and the grey system GM (1, 1), we establish a theoretical model to predict the propagation of wild wasps over time and analyze the accuracy of the model. However, the accuracy of our model is not very high, which results from the influence of many factors such as climate and human. Secondly, we use convolution neural network to recognize the images. With the increase of network depth, the accuracy rate reaches a bottleneck, which can help predict mistaken classification. We also use the SIR infectious disease model based on the dataset file provided. In the model, we mark the confirmed giant hornet as the infected state I (infected), mark the nonwild wasp as the removed state R (removed, refractory, or recovered), and mark the unclassified and unverified wild wasp as the susceptible state S (susceptible). A model to predict the possibility of misclassification was established by considering the normal death of wild wasp. Thirdly, by analogy with the SIR model, when the epidemic occurs, people pay more attention to the infected person. Thus, the SIR model will lead to the most likely positive sightings. Then, in order to ensure the timeliness and accuracy, the model must be updated once a year by changing or adding parameter according to local conditions. Finally, by establishing an optimized SIR infectious disease model, we added the factor of the Washington state’s control of wild wasps. The analysis shows that the number of infected I (i.e., wild wasps) has tended to zero after 250 days, so it can be proved that the Washington state has eliminated the pest.

A quantitative mathematical model of neurons should not only include enough details to consider the dynamics of single neurons but also minimize the complexity of the model so that the model calculation is convenient. The two-dimensional Prescott model provides a good compromise between the authenticity and computational efficiency of a neuron. The dynamic characteristics of the Prescott model under external electrical stimulation are studied by combining analytical and numerical methods in this paper. Through the analysis of the equilibrium point distribution, the influence of model parameters and external stimulus on the dynamic characteristics is described. The occurrence conditions and the type of Hopf bifurcation in the Prescott model are analyzed, and the analytical determination formula of the Hopf bifurcation type in the neuron model is obtained. Washout filter control is used to change the Hopf bifurcation type, so that the subcritical Hopf bifurcation transforms to supercritical Hopf bifurcation, so as to realize the change of the dynamic characteristics of the model.

The moon is recognized as an important destination for space science and exploration. To find a satisfactory answer for the mystery of the universe and to make use of the lunar resources for the welfare of human beings, several space agencies are planning manned and unmanned missions on the moon. As a result, the concept of lunar vehicles has begun with an advanced descent scheme to execute a precise and safe landing on the surface of the moon. On the contrary, the energy budget is an important issue for any space mission. To reduce the cost of a space mission, it is necessary to design the vehicle trajectory based on optimized energy resources. Fuel is the main energy in a space mission. Therefore, a fuel-optimized energy generation technique is focused on this research. The design of an algorithm that generates a real-time trajectory for the descent and landing of a lunar probe is critical to ensuring a successful lunar landing mission. A scheme of dual-step trajectory generation for lunar descent is also investigated in this paper. In the algorithm developing process, the thrust-to-mass ratio is considered as a principle variable. Algorithm design along with mathematical modeling and simulation results are described in detail. In addition, the proposed method for generating reference trajectory profiles is also analyzed for fuel consumption and robustness.

Icing has now become an important factor endangering flight safety. This paper takes the icing data of the NACA 23012 airfoil as an example, establishes an icing influence model for real-time simulation based on icing time and aircraft angle of attack, and analyzes the influence of different icing geometry on aircraft characteristics. The two-dimensional interpolation method is used to improve the model of the aircraft’s stall area, which is mainly divided into the correction of the lift-drag coefficient linear area and the stall area and the correction of the aircraft stability derivative and the control derivative. The aerodynamic equation of the airplane after icing is established, and the modal analysis of the airplane under different icing conditions is completed through the linearization of the flight equation. The closed-loop simulation system of the altitude holding mode and roll attitude holding mode is used to calculate and analyze the flight quality changes of the aircraft after the wing surface is frozen. The analysis results show that, under icing conditions, in the range of small angles of attack, icing has no obvious influence on the aircraft mode. As the degree of icing increases, the throttle skewness and the negative deflection angle of the airplane’s level flight requirements continue to increase. The case of icing flight in altitude hold and roll hold modes shows that flying in the autopilot mode under severe icing conditions is very dangerous and is prone to cause the aircraft to stall.

This paper is presented to develop the hydrodynamic performance of double-row floating breakwater (FBW) by changing cross-sectional geometry in the high wave periods. The ANSYS-AQWA software is employed for the present calculations, which is a potential-based boundary element method (BEM). The rectangular moored pontoons in the single- and double-row types are selected, and the results of the wave transmission coefficient and response amplitude operator (RAO) are presented and compared. The numerical results showed good agreement with experimental data at different wavelengths, wave height, and the distance between double-row FBWs. Then, the performance results of FBWs for five shapes (rectangular, π-shaped, plus-shaped, triangular-shaped, and box-shaped) in the wave transmission coefficient, RAO, and mooring line tension are presented and compared to each other. The results showed that the plus-shaped FBW has a better performance in reducing wave transmission than other shapes. In waves with long periods, the performance of π-shaped, triangular-shaped, and box-shaped FBWs is reduced, and the rectangular FBW loses its efficiency. Overall, the plus-shaped FBW has preferable performance regarding RAO response, mooring tension, and wave transmission.

The aim of this paper is to study the controllability of fractional systems involving the Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivative using the Caputo approach. In the first step, the solution of a linear fractional system is obtained. Then, based on the obtained solution, some necessary and sufficient conditions for the controllability of such a system will be presented. Afterwards, the controllability of a nonlinear fractional system will be analyzed, based on these results. Our tool for the presentation of the sufficient conditions of controllability in this part is Schauder fixed point theorem. In the last step, the analytical results are illustrated by numerical examples.

High aspect ratio wing (HARW) structures will deform greatly under aerodynamic loads, and changes in the stiffness will have a great impact on the flutter characteristics of such wings. Based on this, this paper presents an effective method to determine the effect of the stiffness on the flutter characteristics of HARWs. Based on the calculation theory of the mechanical profile of thin-walled structures, the torsional stiffness and bending stiffness of the wing are obtained through calculation. We use the fluid-structure coupling method to analyze the flutter characteristics of the wing, and we use our research results based on the corotational (CR) method to perform structural calculations. The load is calculated using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solver. The results show that, compared with the original wing, when the bending stiffness and torsional stiffness of the wing along the spanwise direction increase by 8.28% and 5.22%, respectively, the amplitude of the flutter decreases by approximately 30%. Increasing the stiffness in the range of 0.4 to 0.6 Mach has a greater impact on the flutter critical velocity, which increases by 12.03%. The greater the aircraft’s flight speed is, the more severe the stiffness affects the wing limit cycle oscillation (LCO) amplitude.

At present, China’s economic development has made unprecedented progress, but it is also facing a severe situation, and the environmental carrying capacity has almost reached its limit. For this reason, the government vigorously promotes the construction of ecological civilization and advocates green development, circular development, and low-carbon development. Enterprise green operation is a business activity that integrates environmental protection into the whole process of enterprise operation and management. It requires the guiding ideology of business operations and every link of business management to be based on environmental protection. The purpose of this article is to solve the problems between the development of corporate GDP and green protection and analyze the impact of green business development policies on China’s corporate GDP. In order to further clarify the impact of green development on social development of Chinese enterprises, this paper investigates the economic and environmental aspects of green transformation enterprises nationwide. The research results show that China’s green enterprise development has achieved remarkable development achievements. The average growth rate of China’s green development GDP in recent years has begun to significantly exceed the average growth rate of green GDP over the same period. The average annual growth rate of the enterprise’s total economic growth of green environmental protection GDP has reached 11.58%, surpassing the average growth rate of the green GDP economy of the same period of 0.12%. Chinese companies have also achieved impressive corporate achievements following the implementation of the national guidelines for green development. For the first time in 31 inland provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China, chemical companies have achieved green production, and the average GDP growth rate has reached 8.75% for the first time.

A cruise ship is a large public place, and it is very important to ensure the safety of passengers during the evacuation process in case of an emergency. This paper proposes a method to improve evacuation efficiency on cruise ships by controlling passengers’ density. According to the construction of the staircase, the space of the staircase is divided into the step and landing areas. On the basis of considering the influence of passengers’ view field and moving characteristics of passengers, the moving rules of passengers in two areas are established. Taking staircases of the cruise ship as the evacuation scenario, the evacuation process is simulated by using the established model. From simulation results, it is found that numbers of evacuated passengers between staircases are very unbalanced and too many passengers gather in one staircase, which lead to serious congestion. By controlling passengers’ density in stairs areas, the minimum evacuation time is the optimization objective and the optimization model is established by using the quantum-inspired evolutionary algorithm and genetic algorithm. The optimization results show that the evacuation time is significantly shortened when the passenger’s density on the staircase is kept within an appropriate range, which proves that the evacuation efficiency can be effectively improved by controlling the passengers’ density.

Chaotic oscillation will occur in power system when there exist periodic load disturbances. In order to analyze the chaotic oscillation characteristics and suppression method, this paper establishes the simplified mathematical model of the interconnected two-machine power system and analyzes the nonlinear dynamic behaviors, such as phase diagram, dissipation, bifurcation map, power spectrum, and Lyapunov exponents. Based on fractional calculus and sliding mode control theory, the fractional-order hyperbolic tangent sliding mode control is proposed to realize the chaotic oscillation control of the power system. Numerical simulation results show that the proposed method can not only suppresses the chaotic oscillation but also reduce the convergence time and suppress the chattering phenomenon and has strong robustness.

This paper focuses on the exploration of fractional Birkhoffian mechanics and its fractional Noether theorems under quasi-fractional dynamics models. The quasi-fractional dynamics models under study are nonconservative dynamics models proposed by El-Nabulsi, including three cases: extended by Riemann–Liouville fractional integral (abbreviated as ERLFI), extended by exponential fractional integral (abbreviated as EEFI), and extended by periodic fractional integral (abbreviated as EPFI). First, the fractional Pfaff–Birkhoff principles based on quasi-fractional dynamics models are proposed, in which the Pfaff action contains the fractional-order derivative terms, and the corresponding fractional Birkhoff’s equations are obtained. Second, the Noether symmetries and conservation laws of the systems are studied. Finally, three concrete examples are given to demonstrate the validity of the results.

This paper considers a planar orbit transfer trajectory design problem using finite thrust modeling. In this problem, the steering angles associated with the thrust direction are calculated from the predetermined profile format, and the unknown parameters in the profile are directly optimized. Three profile formats that were implemented in previous lunar exploration missions are considered. In addition, a steering angle profile defined in the rotating frame and the optimal steering angle profile are newly studied to compare the performances. To this end, the direct parameter optimization problem and the indirect optimization problem are formulated, and the characteristics of the steering angle profile and its influence on the transfer trajectory are analyzed.

Permanent magnet generator is one of the key components of a three-stage electrically excited brushless synchronous motor, with a main function to provide excitation power for the main exciter and driving power for the controller. In order to improve the reliability and safety of the operation of the three-stage electrically excited brushless synchronous motor, the permanent magnet generator is required to provide sufficient power under all operating conditions and to have low short-circuit current when its own short-circuit fault occurs, so that the generator will not be burnt out due to overheating. Thus, power characteristic and high impedance characteristic are the key goals of designing a permanent magnet generator. In this paper, the fractional slot concentrated winding was adopted to calculate and analyze the electromagnetic properties of permanent magnet generators with different rotor structures, and the optimal design was obtained. A prototype was manufactured to conduct related experiments on the electromagnetic properties. The results demonstrated that the experimental data are basically consistent with the simulation data, and the permanent magnet generator can meet the design requirements for power and high impedance characteristics, with a high power density.

This paper investigates the planar wide-frequency vibration characteristics of heavy-load radial tires with a large aspect ratio. A proposed tire model with a piecewise flexible beam on an elastic foundation is investigated and validated using experimental modal analysis and theoretical modeling method. The reproducibility of frequency response functions below 400 Hz is discussed. The experimental modal analysis particularly assesses the coupling of features across the circumferential and cross-sectional directions of heavy-load radial tire carcass. Piecewise circumferential modal characteristics were investigated experimentally, leading to the suggestion of a piecewise flexible beam on an elastic tire foundation. Using a genetic algorithm (GA), the structural parameters EI, ρ A , and kr and damping coefficients η and cr for the proposed tire model are identified, and the piecewise transfer functions and the planar transfer functions for a heavy-load radial tire are compared with planar hammer test. Experimental and theoretical results show the following: (1) the sectional vibration characteristics for a heavy-load radial tire with a large aspect ratio result from the cross-sectional vibration of the tire carcass; (2) the piecewise transfer function is mainly influenced by the circumferential vibration of the flexible carcass, and this is consistent with a model where a flexible beam is placed on an elastic tire foundation; (3) the analytical transfer functions calculated for the proposed tire model, drawing on the identified structural parameters and damping coefficients, agree well with the experimental results.

Firstly, this paper puts forward two new types of suspension vibration reduction systems (SVRSs) with geometric nonlinear damping based on general SVRS (GSVRS), which only has geometric nonlinear stiffness. Secondly, it derives the motion differential equations for the two new types of SVRS, respectively, and discusses the similarities and differences among the two types and GSVRS through the comparison of motion differential equations. Then, it conducts dimensionless processing of the motion differential equations for the two new types of SVRS and carries out a comparative study on the vibration isolation performance of the two types of SVRS under impact excitation and random excitation, respectively. At last, it performs the optimal computation of the chosen new type of SVRS through the ergodic optimization method and studies the influence rule of SVRS parameters on vibration isolation performance so as to realize the optimization of vibration isolation performance.

In this paper, a turbine runner blade under hydraulic excitation was taken as the object of study and the mathematical hydrodynamic pressure model of a turbine runner blade under the rotor-stator interaction was established using quasi-three-dimensional finite element model. The regularity of the distribution of the hydrodynamic pressure was then investigated. First, the quasi-three-dimensional finite element model of a runner blade was established using the quasi-three-dimensional theory. Next, according to the pressure distribution from the numerical simulation, the mathematical mean pressure model of a node was established using the relative pressure difference method; the pressure fluctuation was then established taking the rotor-stator interaction into consideration. Then, based on the mean pressure and the pressure fluctuation of a node, the mathematical hydrodynamic pressure model for any position of a runner blade was obtained. Finally, the feasibility of the mathematical model was verified by an example analysis, and the internal relationship between the hydrodynamic pressure and its hydraulic parameters and the structural parameters of the blade was revealed, which provides a theoretical basis for further study of the dynamic characteristics of turbine runner blades under the rotor-stator interaction.
