The article reports that on July 6, 2022 at the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany, the final report of the Commission for the Clarification of the Truth, Coexistence and Non-Repetition of the Conflict in Colombia to the German public. Topics include examines which had just completed its mandate on June 28, 2022 and considered the commissioner Leyner Palacios Asprilla was in charge of introducing the extensive work of the Commission, speaking of the effects that the armed conflict has had on the Colombian ethnic peoples.

The article focuses on the construction of Hispanic identity in Latin America during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Topics include the reconciliation efforts between Spain and its former colonies, the role of language and cultural heritage in shaping national identities, and the varying interpretations and uses of Hispanicity across different sociopolitical contexts. It mentions analysis of the language of the delegates who defended the American proposal, that one of the reasons that inspired this group and constituted it as a community with its own identity was precisely the idea of Hispanicity.
