A directory of selected managed care providers in the US is provided. These include preferred provider organizations, health maintenance organizations and point-of-service contracts. The directory is composed of 2000 firms that are alphabetically arranged and are subdivided by state. It includes various information such as business address, operational date, areas covered and the contact person.

An alphabetical listing of health maintenance organizations, preferred provider organizations and point-of-service contract providers for each of the 51 states, Guam and Puerto Rico is presented. The information given in the 1995/1996 directory includes the firms' names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, personnel, facilities, locations and finances.

The health maintenance organizations (HMOs) and point-of-service (POS) plans in the US are listed. HMOs and POS plans from Alabama to Wisconsin are included in the list include CIGNA Managed Care Network-Alabama, Complete Health Services Inc., Aetna Health Plans of Arizona Inc., Prudential Plus of Little Rock and Wausau Preferred Health Plans.
