The exact solution of laminated Orthogonal Hyperbolic shell of thermoelastic composite is very important to investigate it’s the mechanical properties. Therefore, many studies were completed in this paper. Firstly, the non-homogeneous state equation in generic coordinates is derived for thermoelastic composites including thermal gradient relationships by the basic equations and state space method. Secondly, an augmented dimension constitutive relationship was obtained by combining thermal gradient relationships into constitutive relationships of composite constitutive relationships based on the theory of symplectic variable and precise time-integration with dimension expanding method. Lastly, uniting state space method and the augmented dimension constitutive relationships, a homogeneous state equation which can be solely solved was deduced by eliminating the stresses in plane. The homogeneous state equation can simplify greatly the solution process of the laminated Orthogonal Hyperbolic shell, improve the calculation accuracy. What’s more, it can be discrete straightly in finite element format. So, the homogeneous state equation, derived in the paper, can supply a new method for the exact solution of laminated structures with complicated boundary condition in practice.

This paper describes the investigation of the phase composition of the diffusion zone in the H20N80+AD1 composite material obtained by explosion welding, after heat treatment at 630оС, 75h. The isothermal section of the Al-Cr-Ni state diagram at room temperature is given. Microhardness of diffusion zone layers is measured.

In order to improve the treatment efficiency of the constrained layer damping (CLD), it is meaningful to have a study on its layout optimization. This paper based on current research of Cellular Automata (CA) algorithm for CLD optimization, points out that the current application of CA algorithm is less efficient, considering that adding or deleting a single CLD patch almost does no change to the entire structure, then makes a simplification and modification of CA algorithm. With the aim at improving the structural modal loss factor, this paper uses the current CA algorithm and its modified algorithm to optimize a partial CLD plate. The results have shown that the modified CA algorithm for CLD optimization can not only substantially increase computing efficiency, but to some extent, improve the optimization effectiveness.

To our knowledge, very few models have described the thermal behavior of granular media or powders as a function of the mechanical stresses to which they are subjected. In recent years, many researchers have expressed great interest in establishing laws that can show the relationship between the apparent thermal conductivity and the mechanical behavior of granular media. This paper presents an experimental study of heat transfer enhancement using granular blocks. A number of experiments were carried out in the test section of a wind tunnel where velocity and temperature measurements were performed. The velocity profiles permitted us to have an idea on the flow structure in the presence of granular blocks. The temperature measurements under various operating conditions (various Reynolds numbers and granular blocks structures) led us to the conclusion that using granular blocks can improve the thermal transfer in comparison with the case of a smooth channel and this enhancement is strongly dependent on the geometrical and thermo-physical properties of these blocks.

This paper provides the modeling and control of stator active and reactive power for doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) under wind turbine systems using a direct power control (DPC) is applied to the grid side converter (GSC), also the rotor side converter (RSC) of the DFIG is controlling with the field control (FOC) to realize the decoupling control of the active and reactive power. For tuning the PI controllers is a tedious work and it is difficult to tune the PI gains optimally due to the nonlinearity and the high complexity of the system. This paper presents an approach to use the particle swarm optimization algorithm to design the optimal PI controllers for the rotor side converter (RSC) of the DFIG. Based on the simulation results, the PSO-PI provides lower value for the criteria and better response compared with the PI conventional.

Various researchers have developed a model of conventional H2O -LiBr absorption machines, with the aim of predicting their performance. In this paper, the methodology of the adaptation of the characteristic equations is applied; this model is able to represent the cooling capacity of the double effect absorption chiller by means of simple algebraic linear equation. As a result, it is concluded that a good agreement between the theoretical simulation using the thermodynamic model and the results obtained on the literature. The results achieved through the adapted characteristic equations model have a deviation less than 10% for the cooling capacity and the coefficient of performance COP, and less than 15% for the heat capacity comparing to the thermodynamic model results. The developed characteristic equations and their assessment are useful for the simulation and the control purpose.

In this paper, we present a modeling of the photovoltaic array in order to tracking the maximum power point (MPPT) using a soft computing approach based on artificial neural network, The maximum power point tracking MPPT play a crucial role in photovoltaic systems for their ability to maximize the power output under varying conditions; The photovoltaic array modeled and implemented in matlab simulink environnement using the conventional perturb and observe algorithm for multiple ranges under varying temperatures and irradiances levels, a feed forward neural network collect the training data from the photovoltaic array simulink model, after the training process check, the neural network model tested with new temperatures and irradiance data to predict the maximum power point of the photovoltaic array, The developed neural network model shown an interesting results compared to simulink model based on classic perturb and observe algorithm.

The increasing penetration of RES and the intermittent nature of various distributed power generation (DG) resources have created uncertainty in variable power production and power systems. The overall energy output of a wind farm may be optimized by strategically positioning wind turbines. This paper proposes a three-step strategy to dealing with the difficult-to-control problem of wind farm layout optimization. To construct the non-wake and wake impacts at various levels, three case scenarios are studied. The proposed strategy is used to a particular Ant-Lion Optimization Algorithm (ALOA) as a novel approach to producing highly efficient optimal output power, as well as case studies using actual wind data assessing potential turbine site. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate that the suggested approach is robust in ALOA design because it further reduces the objective function on the best new outcomes to implement all network restrictions acquired via the analysis.

The present paper is a continuation of a larger study of the authors, which consists of an analysis on the performances of several production systems. In this paper it is analyzed the influences of the method of managing the flows, the method of production programing and the clients demand on performance indicators of a multiproduct assembly line supplied on stock. The assembly line is designed to produce two types of similar products and is made of 5 workstations with mainly manual activities, which are supplied with parts on a stock based method. The performance indicators chosen for analysis were: average work in process, cost per unit, systems reactivity to client demand and throughput. The values of these indicators were obtained by simulating the assembly lines functioning in different experimental conditions, determined of the variation of above mentioned variables, by using ARENA software. The obtained results were interpreted and structured, in a manner to help the process managers to take adequate decisions considering the wanted objectives.

The output power of Direct Methanol Fuel Cells (DMFC) is one of the most important elements which limit the performance of DMFC. In order to enhance performance of DMFC, it is necessary to have model to modeling the output power of DMFC. In this paper, a novel model base on Support Vector Regression (SVR) to modeling the output power of DMFC base on output current (I) and operating temperature (T). The test result is shown that the generalization ability of SVR model is high accuracy. This investigation suggests that SVR is quite satisfied used to developing a DMFC model and can be used for controlling, optimal designing and feasibility study of the DMFC system.

The author of this scientific paper studies the stress-strain state of the solar panel of a small spacecraft after a temperature shock. The temperature shock is caused by the entry or exit of a small spacecraft into or out the Earth's shadow. In this work is considered a one-dimensional model of thermal conductivity. It is assumed that the solar radiation flux falls properly on the solar panel. Violation of normality due to deformations is neglected. A special feature of this work is to take into account the actual fixing of the solar panel. The boundary conditions in the form of a seal are preserved. However, the mobility of the smallest spacecraft is taken into account as a result of the occurrence of a longitudinal force in the solar panel during a temperature shock. The results are compared with the simulation data without taking into account the mobility of the small spacecraft. The results of this work can be used in the design of small spacecraft for technological purposes to meet the requirements for microaccelerations.

The water temperature distribution and spatio-temporal variation law of the reservoir have a great influence on the water quality and ecological environment of the reservoir, and it is also an important temperature boundary condition for the design of concrete dam of hydropower station project, which is of great significance for the optimal design and operation of the reservoir. There are many factors affecting the water temperature of the reservoir, and it is difficult to predict the water temperature distribution accurately because of the lack of data and experience. In this paper, a numerical analysis model is established for the reservoir of a hydropower station on the Nam Ngum in Laos, and the water temperature of the reservoir is calculated and predicted, and the water temperature distribution in the reservoir and the water temperature distribution in front of the dam are analyzed and discussed. The results show that the solar shortwave radiation is the main factor affecting the temperature stratification of the reservoir. The stable low temperature layer of the reservoir is not obvious, but there is a tendency to form stratification. The research results can provide water temperature value for the design of concrete dam of the hydropower station and provide reference for the prediction of the water temperature of other similar reservoirs.

In order to study the influence of the splitter plate in the elastic support system, the SST k-omega turbulence model is used to solve the problem, and the cylindrical system with splitter plate is numerically simulated by overset mesh. This paper studies the effect of the splitter plate on the vibration system at different deflection angles. The results show that the splitter plate has little effect on the system when the deflection angle is low. When the deflection angle is about 10 degrees, the system vibration characteristics will have a sudden change, the amplitude will decrease, and the vortex frequency will increase. Between the deflection angle of 10 degrees and 45 degrees, as the deflection angle increases, the amplitude increases and the vortex frequency decreases. It can be seen from the motion trajectory that the deflection angle changes suddenly after 10 degrees, and the system has a very small amplitude between 10 degrees and 25 degrees. In this declination interval, the splitter plate controls the vibration of the cylindrical system better.

This paper used the method to diagnosis the change-point of Kuyehe flood series. The result is consistent with the hydrological investigated results, which can provide the basis of quantifying the impact of changes of underlying surface conditions on the watershed runoff.

A Learning Classifier System is a accuracy-based machine learning system using gradient descent that combines covering operator and genetic algorithm. In this paper, we used the advanced voting method (voting by weight) to fusion the result of different classifier, having compared it with the traditional voting method.It performed better than traditional method in term of accuracy

Offline programming requires a good accuracy of the manipulators. The solution to the problem is to use a feedback mechanism to minimize the error. But, the real coordinate of the robot can be achieved with a measurement system. With this system the robot is calibrated and therefore errors are minimized. In this paper, an overview on some calibration methods used to reduce positioning and orientation errors of the end-effector are discussed. A set of methods are using a laser tracker for the measurements and the other methods are based on computer vision.

The NOSQL database to support data and high concurrent read and write,scalability and high availability features in a distributed storage system which has been applied widely. In this paper, through the research of load balancing in distributed storage system,and it proposes the consistent hashing algorithm and the virtual node strategy, in order to improve the load balancing of the system and increase the cache hit ratio. For the load balancing principle of NOSQL and SQL Server, analysis and comparison of the experimental data.The result shows that, with the increase of the number of virtual nodes, the cache hit ratio of NOSQL is higher than the cache hit ratio of SQL Server.

Some common criteria for predicting the plastic failure of geomaterials, including the Mohr-Coulomb model, can be represented as conic constraints. Thus, by formulating finite element limit analysis (FELA) problems with such materials as second-order cone programs (SOCPs), solutions to small-and medium-scale problems are readily obtained using current state-of-the-art optimisation software that are based on polynomially-bounded interior-point methods (IPMs). Unfortunately, when progressing to large-scale 2D and 3D problems, these schemes often struggle with the increased computational burden of obtaining a search direction at each iteration of the IPM using conventional direct solvers that implement some form of Gaussian elimination. In this paper, current conic optimisation software is compared for some medium and large-sized FELA problems. Additionally, a scheme which avoids the factorisation of large linear systems, through the use of a Krylov subspace solver, is developed and compared to existing software.

The extended finite element method (XFEM) allows the entire crack to be represented independently from the mesh, which means re-mesh is unnecessary in model crack growth, reduces the computational time drastically. However, fatigue crack growth simulation has been computationally challenged by lots of analog computations in crack growth. Therefore, a new reanalysis algorithm based on incremental Cholesky factorization is derived. In this paper, we consider a variant of XFEM in which an exponent discontinuous function is used to simulate the crack through unit. Then the corresponding formula of XFEM with inclusion and crack problem with a new reanalysis algorithm is derived. In the end, we use the new reanalysis algorithm and an optimization algorithm to predict the angle of crack initiation from a hole in a plate with inclusion. It shows that the algorithm is effective.

Based on this, this paper investigates the synergies effect of technology alliance on open innovation from three perspectives of Knowledge-Based Theory, Organizational Learning and Resource-Based View, and finally finds the close relationship and interaction between them, which not only enriches the existing study of open innovation and technology alliance but also provides some guidance on conducting technology alliance, and accelerates the process open innovation based on technology alliance and improves the efficiency of open innovation.

In this paper, optimal scheduling on logistics task and logistics resources for the port logistics alliance operations is discussed, the logistics service cost and time of each node is comprehensively considered, in order to establish a multi-objective optimization model. At the same time, improve genetic algorithm in use of the advantage of tabu search climbing ability to design a genetic taboo hybrid algorithm, which enhances the solution efficiency. Hope this study can effectively realize optimal allocation on logistics resources and tasks for port logistics alliance.

Emergency communication refers to the appearance of natural or man-made sudden emergencies, which comprehensively use various communication resources to guarantee the emergency rescue and necessary communication. Emergency communication system requires not only mobile, but also rapid response and wide range. According to these requirements, the paper establishes a process model based on Object-oriented Petri net. The application shows that the model can be used to conveniently describe the dynamic and uncertainty characteristics of emergency communication tasks, which can reduce the complexity of process organization and provide the conditions for fast restructuring and integrating functions of module tasks.

The attractiveness of glass is something that occupied the world market with a unique claim. It has many applications that go beyond the provision of visual aesthetics, which includes a view of the inside and out. Due to extreme levels of clarity, structural glazing may be so transparent that it may go unnoticed by design or make a strong visual impact such as the focal point of a building. This paper focused on structural glass with various laminated/laminated conditions that were used to investigate the Dynamic Mechanical Properties. The storage modulus (G'), loss modulus (G'') and damping factor (tan delta) were determined at various levels, ranging from room temperature to elevated temperatures (250 °C) to understand the behavior of glass structure with and without laminated glass over a range of temperatures. The G' & G'' were tested to understand the effect of bonding, fracture behavior between the pure glass and laminated glass to observe the response with respect to temperature. Results are found that G' and G'' improve over a range of temperatures for laminated glass with enlightening fracture behavior. Laminated glass also has a major influence on the damping factor, but it also depends on the laminated thickness and materials. Thermo-Mechanical Properties of laminated glass are more improved, without affecting the transferability of glass.

In an internal combustion engine poppet valve is the crucial component which often opens and closes, thereby regulating gas flow in an engine cylinder. During engine operation, the valve is exposed to high temperature gases (thermal load) along with spring and cam loads (mechanical load). Due to high temperatures and fatigue loads, the valves are subjected to metallurgical changes and leads to failure. In order to resist these extreme conditions of high temperature and mechanical loads, the engine valve should possess special properties such as high surface hardness, a good amount of thermal conductivity, and fatigue strength. In this work, the reasons for the failure of two wheeler engine valve were evaluated and found that failure takes place due to change in the chemical composition mainly due to thermal diffusion at the interfaces. Thermal barrier coatings on the valve surface arrest the temperature load and increase its life. In this work, the performance of various titanium based composite coatings, i.e., TiN, TiC, TiC-Al2O3, TiCN, TiAlN, TiN- Al2O3, DLC, and uncoated valves of two wheeler engine was simulated using Finite Element Analysis. The simulation results indicated that coated valves have less thermal and fatigue loading and have more life than the uncoated valve. The Finite element simulation results of both coated and uncoated valves are presented and analyzed in this paper.

Currently, Aluminium (Al) 6061 material is used in various industrial application and Automobile sector. Al 6061 gives good formability and excellent mechanical properties. This paper is mainly focused on the behaviour of the heat-treated aluminium alloy-6061 under the various test such as hardness test, impact test and other industrial applications. Based on the outcomes of Heat treatment, the quality of the Aluminium alloy-6061 is also compared with that of Aluminium alloy-5083, 6063. Hence, this paper helps in future research, which is based on the behaviour of the Heat-treated aluminium alloy under Hardness test.

Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) is one of the popular materials in industry because of its superior mechanical properties. With the hardness of up to 8000HV and the thermal conductivity of 360 W/mk, PCD can be used to machine hard-to-machine materials. This paper introduces the statistical analysis of cutting forces in the milling of Titanium alloys with small PCD tools. Nine customized PCD tools with different tool geometries were fabricated by changing the front angle, clearance angle and cutting edge angle. Cutting experiments were carried out and cutting forces were recorded with a DAQ system. Through statistical analysis it was found that clearance angle affected cutting forces more significantly than the other parameters

CAN bus communication has been used in a serial protocol for connecting electronic control modules together with its hardware and software design in automotive gauge application. The motivation is to develop a PC-based monitoring system for not only CAN frames received from or sent onto CAN bus, but also data recorded on log files consideration. This paper presents a prototype monitoring system on automotive CAN bus gauge for communication protocol in Ford Mustang. For the proposed CAN bus monitoring system, the designed architecture is discussed and verified into PC for surveillance performance. Furthermore the Ethernet technology adopted in the system makes it a more practical and convenient CAN bus testing system.

More than two third share of electricity come from coal fired power plants in India. Coal fired power plants are the largest source of anthropogenic CO2 emissions per unit of electricity generation among all fossil fuel based power plants. There has been climate change and global warming globally due to increasing anthropogenic emission of greenhouse gas (GHG) into the atmosphere. This paper examines life cycle GHG emission such as CH4, CO2 and N2O of a National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited power plant using life cycle approach. The various stages involved in the assessment of life cycle GHG emissions in the present study include coal mining, transportation of coal to the power plant and coal combustion for electricity generation. The results show that direct CO2 emission from coal combustion is about 890 g CO2-e/kWh, whereas life cycle GHG emissions amount to 929.1 g CO2-e/kWh. Indirect GHG emissions add up to 4.2% of total emissions. Coal mine methane leakage into atmosphere in India is low since more than 90% of the coal mining is surface mining.

In order to better guide the middle-aged women in scientific fitness training, this paper plans to analyze the following issues: the physical status of infrequent exercise of older women, fitness exercises on the impact of middle-aged women, the comparison about different types of fitness training methods on the impact of middle-aged women. The results shows long-term exercise can delay and change in body shape and quality of the middle-aged women on the law of aging, and can prevent the aging state such as being fat early, gaining weight, decreasing physical fitness. Physical exercise has enhanced the middle-aged women’s function of cardio-cerebral-vascular system and respiratory system. The exercisers who insist for a long time have obviously higher cardiopulmonary load ability than those who have no exercise.

Nowadays, face recognition has the rapid development with more in-depth study and more achievements. Many achievements have been applied in different fields which improves that the study of face recognition is valuable and meaningful. In this paper, a face recognition system based on the video stream is implemented. And the face recognition system consists of the following modules: face adding module, face recognition module, information querying module and global settings module. Among the all modules, face recognition modules is the core of the whole system in which completes the most of the work of the whole system. In practice, the results of the system are valuable and the system is able to meet the requirements of some applications.

The SACTI model (Seasonal Annual Cooling Tower Impact) as the environmental impact assessment of cooling tower was applied in this paper, which was used to simulate the plume characters under different cooling tower heights. The results showed that the plume length, plume height and plume radius presented noticeable differences with variances of different distances and wind directions under different cooling tower heights. The comparisons of differences of plume characters indicated that the relative change of plume length frequency displayed obvious decreased trend with increased distance when distance was greater than 500m, and that of plume height frequency appeared parabolic curve with increased distance. The relative change of plume radius frequency expressed totally descended trend.
