Pressure regulators have a great impact on the runtime and energy savings of supersonic wind tunnels. In order to investigate this impact quantitatively the theoretical isentropic (ideal) equations for the supersonic wind tunnel flow were compared with viscous CFD computations. The theoretical model was extended include the flow from the outflow from the pressure vessel up to the wind tunnel. This theoretical model was solved with and without pressure regulation valve using a Runge-Kutta method. The differences in runtime and energy consumption for both configurations with and without pressure regulator as well as the derivation of the analytical model and the numerical solution are presented in detail in this paper.

This paper describes a back-up system for positioning subway trains. The system is a combination of vehicle and ground subway train assisted positioning system, it can fast and accurate get the location information of subway trains, to provide protection of safe and efficient operation for the subway trains.

This paper will analyze the various factors impacting the subway fares, and research the relationship between all the factors based on system dynamics, ultimately some suggestions formulated.

With economic development, abundant modes of transport, the quality of people's in demand for travel gradually increases ,and therefore optimizing and improving passenger station service system seems imperative. In order to improve the quality of passenger service, we shall establish a scientific and reasonable evaluation system, through the terminal passenger satisfaction evaluation to determine whether passenger service to make visitors satisfied and propose specific measures to improve service quality for lower service satisfaction. In this paper, Hohhot, as an example, we conducted evaluation studies for passenger station service, and put forward the corresponding improvement suggestions to improve passenger satisfaction, but also proved the feasibility and practicability of the model established in terms of passenger station’s travelers satisfaction evaluation. The study not only can improve the competitiveness of transport companies but also conducive to the future development of the passenger market.

In this paper, a 14-pole HTS filter is successfully designed and developed, which based on the reflected group delay method. The principle, design process, simulation are demonstrated. The filter is fabricated on a MgO substrate with double-sided DyBa2Cu3O7HTS thin films. The filter’s center frequency is 813.5MHz with a bandwidth of 15MHz, the return loss is better than 20dB.

A new campus tracking system to solve the problem of campus thefts based on IoT is presented in this paper. The data of RFID tags was collected by FRID reader and transmitted over short distance by ZigBee. Then the data was transferred to PC, which was connected to ZigBee coordinator node and transferred to the user or administrator through campus network at last. The user or administrator landed tracking system to select items by the entrance guard system or not. Therefor valuables were ensured in security and the thief would be blocked. If the thief forced the goods out entrance guard system, Beidou navigation chip embedded objects would be opened, and goods would be tracked with the Beidou navigation system. Experimental results show that the system can manage campus valuables intelligently.

Oculomotor plant and saccade generator are the basics of the saccadic system. The purpose of this paper is mainly focused on mathematical models of horizontal eye movement system. In this respect, it is presented a model for the mechanics of horizontal eye movement. The oculomotor system is presented incorporates known physiological dynamics and musculotendon complex geometry. Developing muscle strength can be described by a two-component version of the model Hill and consists of a passive and active contractile component. The active component includes force-velocity and force-length characteristics of the muscle. Passive component accounts for elastic and viscous effects. Couple neuronal activation dynamics controls that is appropriate for judder from muscle mechanics.

Image is the unity structure and texture, structure reflects to the contours and the boundaries between different regions in the image, and the texture is a reflection of the details within an area in the image, therefore the optimal restoration effect can not be achieved if structure or texture is considered separately during the process of image restoration. In order to solve the problems above, the corresponding solution proposed in this paper is as follows: first, the structural characteristics of the image to be repaired are obtained by using pulse coupled neural network; then both the textural features and the structural features are taken into consideration simultaneously when it comes to the priority of the image restoration as well as the calculation of the optimal sample block. It can be seen from the experimental results that the algorithm described herein can effectively improve the quality of image restoration.

This research paper presents the analysis of factor lightning protection for photovoltaic power generation. The question of the safety of lightning protection systems in photovoltaic power generation, especially under severe weather conditions such as thunderstorms. Therefore, a simple model of a photovoltaic power generation was developed, which included the arrangement of a conventional photovoltaic panel. The effect of lightning is also simulated by the pattern of lightning currents. It is also found that the size of the panel mounting structure and the point of lightning conduction induce the induced voltage at the junctions of the photovoltaic panel. Based on the results of the impulse current analysis, the intensity of the lightning current is increasing rapidly. All these factors will be taken into consideration in order to design a protective system.

In this paper, subspace identification methods are proposed to estimate the linear tire cornering stiffness, which are only based on the road tests data without any prior knowledge. This kind of data-driven method has strong robustness. In order to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithms, a series of standard road tests are carried out. Comparing with different subspace algorithms used in road tests, it can be concluded that the front tire cornering stiffness can be estimated accurately by the N4SID and CCA methods when the double lane change test data are taken into analysis.

This paper proposes an auto-focus method that is based on Ostu segment. The method uses the variance of the two classes of the segment results as the guidance of the auto-focus system. This guidance function responses to wide range of object distance range, it has a strong anti jamming ability and it provides a wide range of the guidance value. The result shows that this method can work well and the time it takes to focus is unconcerned to the position when the focus process starts and it responses to a wide range of object distance.

Allocation of spectrum resource is the key for heterogeneous wireless networks. Taking the differences between different types of access networks available channel bandwidth and the communication requirements of users into consideration on the basis of cognitive heterogeneous network spectrum resource allocation algorithm based on graph coloring theory, this paper introduces bandwidth control parameter and proposes a spectrum resource allocation algorithm based on user needs feedback, which improves the utilization and fairness of system spectrum resources.

The isothermal section of the Al-Cr-Ni state diagram at room temperature is given. Microhardness of diffusion zone layers is measured.

In this paper, building a systematic equation of mathematical model and dynamic variation based on the movement of object falling into water based on the breach parabolic by virtue of the combined means of boundary layer theory and differential equation with the help of computer simulation, this paper further illustrates the features of physical characteristics and its dynamic movement process, which provides a sort of accurate and credible analytical thinking for the similar engineering calculation.

Tibetan-Chinese named entity extraction is the foundation of cross language information processing, and provides a basis for machine translation and cross language information retrieval research. In this paper, we use the multi-language links of Wikipedia to obtain Tibetan-Chinese comparable corpus, and combine sentence length, word matching and entity boundary words together to get parallel sentence. Then we extract Tibetan-Chinese named entity from the comparable corpus in three ways: (1) Extracting Natural labeling information. (2) Acquiring the links of Tibetan entries and Chinese entries. (3) Using sequence intersection method, which includes the sentence representation, Chinese named entity recognition and corresponding Tibetan sentences intersection. Finally, the results show the extraction method based on comparable corpus is effective.

Development of cracks is the most common cause of premature deterioration in structures. For the design of reinforced concrete structures, crack width is one of the most important factors to be considered. It also affects the serviceability of reinforced concrete members. This paper presents the experimental study on crack width evaluation of R.C beams and comparison with various international codes. Following international codes: Eurocode2 1992-1 (2009), Egyptian Code ECP203-2007, ACI Code 318-95, 318-05, BS 8110-1997/IS: 456-2000 was used to calculate the crack width for comparison purpose.

This paper presents the effect of surface roughness on soft elastohydrodynamic lubrication in circular contact with non-Newtonian lubricant. The time independent modified Reynolds equation, elastic equation and lubricant viscosity equation were formulated for compressible fluid. Perturbation method, Newton-Raphson method, finite different method and full adaptive multigrid method were implemented to obtain the film pressure, film thickness profiles and friction coefficient in the contact region at various the amplitude of surface roughness, surface speed of sphere, modulus of elasticity and radius of sphere. The simulation results showed that the film thickness in contact region depended on the profile of surface roughness. The minimum film thickness decreased but maximum film pressure and friction coefficient increase when the amplitude of surface roughness and modulus of elasticity increased. For increasing surface speeds, the minimum film thickness and friction coefficient increase but maximum film pressure decreases. When radius of sphere increases, the minimum film thickness increases but maximum film pressure and friction coefficient decrease.

An improved differential evolution algorithm for solving nonlinear equations of electrical motor system is explored. The algorithm is to convert equations into an optimization problem and, by keeping consideration of the evolution process and adopting dynamic parameters adjusting mechanism, the algorithm can improve searching efficiency and implement real-time surveillance for population overlapping. The Chaos searching strategy is used for overlapping individual to further improve the ability of global optimization. Analysis results of induction motor motion parameters show that the improved differential evolution algorithm proposed in this paper has high efficiency and powerful global optimization searching ability.

This paper presents the mechanical properties of a lightweight geopolymer concrete synthesized by the alkali-activation of a fly ash source (FA) produced by mixing a paste of geopolymer with foam produced by using NCT Foam Generator. Two curing conditions are used, curing at room temperature and curing in an oven with a constant temperature which is 60 oC. Bulk density showed that fly ash-based geopolymer lightweight concrete is light with the density of 1225 kg/m3 - 1667 kg/m3 with an acceptable compressive strength of 17.60 MPa for the density of 1667 kg/m3.

This study is focused on audio streaming synchronization problems of multimedia network. Audio streaming synchronization issues of multimedia network directly affect the development of multimedia technology. To this end, this paper presents a multimedia network audio stream synchronization method based on the whole node identification, with feature detection method to identify endpoint of audio streams in perception node, and an audio fingerprint is conducted for information of each node, then, mark the starting point of sync, and sync tasks are decomposed at each node, and finally the audio stream synchronization is achieved in the cluster head node, error correction adjustment and information correction are performed to reduce the energy consumption of cluster head node, enhance correction capability of information loss. The simulation results show that the synchronization delay of proposed algorithm is significantly reduced, which enhance the performance of the multimedia network.

In analog electronic systems, characteristic information required for fault prognosis is achieved by test points of a board, so the selection and optimization of test points is an important topic for PHM research of electronic products. Current methods for selection of test points generally rely on functional simulation analysis or testability modeling analysis. Based on this, FMMEA method is introduced to find failure susceptibility components in this paper, moreover, through simulating and calculating the predictability of test points, the final test points are determined. As an example, a board level system is presented to validate this approach.

When we drive vehicle on expressway in the mountainous areas, there are many factors affecting driving safety. Especially when we drive at a high speed, pneumatic lateral force under the effect of horizontal wind will cause wheels cornering and unsteady steering, which affects the safety of driving. Based on the driving characteristics on the section of expressway with crosswind in mountainous areas, and three security issues that are vehicle roll, cornering and sideslip under the action of crosswind, this paper gives the various speed limit and proposes effective measures to ensure traffic safety, all of which can offer decision-making basis for traffic safety administration of the mountain expressway.

Combined extrusion-forging is used in the manufacturing of a wide range of engineering components. Due to the complexity of the forming process and because of so many process variables, it is difficult to predict the forming load required to manufacture a given component. It is very costly to conduct different trail runs to know the metal flow patterns, and for redesigning of tool and die setup, etc. The present paper deals with the Finite element analysis of combined forward and backward extrusion-forging process for the product shape socket wrench. Two types of socket wrenches, Square-square type and hexagon-square type have been taken for the present analysis. The modelling has been done by using 3D modelling software CATIA and simulation through the Finite element based package DEFORM 3D software. The forming load can be estimated by the results obtained from the Finite element analysis through DEFORM 3D software.

The demand for town houses using the constructions of lightweight conrete is growing rapidly in recent time. One of the most common building materials for cottage construction is lightweight aggregate blocks. An important role for lightweight expanded clay aggregate (LECA) concrete plays such a property as vapor permeability. This paper presents the results of vapor permeability test of the samples, the analysis and recommendations for construction of the building. These samples were taken from the LECA concrete blocks covered by unidentified cladding, of which one of the town houses was under construction in the North-West of Russia. An assumption has been made that the unidentified cladding may cause losses to the building’s wall enclosure.

With the development of computer graphics, real-time rendering-based VF: technology has been applied in more and more fields. LOD is the key technology in large-scale terrain rendering. In this paper, the basic concept of LOD is introduced briefly and some algorithms of LOD in use are mentioned and analyzed; secondly as one of algorithms of LOD, View-Dependent Progressive Mesh algorithm is studied and improved, the result of implementing the large-scale terrain’s LOD by using VDPM is presented. There are key technologies in LOD Large-scale terrain real-time rendering are researched. Relative technologies are presented such as: LOD of the terrain, visibility culling, and cracks eliminate, view-dependent refine, LOD error, technologies of texture etc. Using LOD technology, VR system can greatly reduce the; number of polygons produced in real-time rendering procedure. Finally, we do experimental design work based on the methods and techniques presented by this paper.

Wheeled based sniffer robots have been using in current research trend of odor plume tracking, but they have a serious pitfall because they only perform2D odor plume tracking which is ineffective. The main reason of being ineffective is because wheeled sniffer robots ignore the fact that the majority of odor plumes are released into 3D space instead of 2D space. Therefore, a flying sniffer robot is needed to overcome 3D odor plume tracking problem. In this paper, we propose to use a quadrotor as the locomotion of a flying sniffer robot. In order to make sure the quadrotor based flying sniffer robot can perform well in odor plumes tracking, we have carried out a detail study in airflow simulation analysis by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software. Besides, we also conducted experiments to determine the odor sensing ability of quadrotor based flying sniffer robot. From our experiments, we are able to identify the odor sensing region of quadrotor based flying sniffer robot in quantitative measurement. From airflow analysis simulation study and experiments, we proved that a quadrotor based flying sniffer robot is a feasible solution for 3D odor plume tracking.

Nowadays, face recognition has the rapid development with more in-depth study and more achievements. Many achievements have been applied in different fields which improves that the study of face recognition is valuable and meaningful. In this paper, a face recognition system based on the video stream is implemented. And the face recognition system consists of the following modules: face adding module, face recognition module, information querying module and global settings module. Among the all modules, face recognition modules is the core of the whole system in which completes the most of the work of the whole system. In practice, the results of the system are valuable and the system is able to meet the requirements of some applications.

Communication based train control system as a train control system is designed to ensure driving safety, the system description and system function of the real environment is driven by different types of data. Data security is an important component part of CBTC system security, the dynamic data as interactive data within the system is more important influence on system safety, it is necessary to put forward the formal modeling for dynamic data security verification. This paper puts forward a kind of dynamic data security verification method for train control system based on UPPAAL. The unified modeling language (UML) is adopted to train control scene modeling analysis, through model transformation method to convert the UML sequence diagram to timed automata model, using UPPAAL validation tool for train control scenario simulation analysis, through dynamic data to meet security constraint conditions shows that the dynamic data security.

In classic radial sampling scheme, angle intervals between adjacent straight sampling lines are the same. And so the coherence between the sampling matrix and the sparse matrix is high. Many pseudo-shadows will occur on the reconstructed image. For this problem, we put forward a novel sampling scheme in which the scan lines are placed in the manner of golden section angle interval. In the resulting sampling matrix, the scan lines scatter randomly on the whole. Experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm proposed in this paper has lower correlation coefficient between sampling matrix and sparse matrix than classic radial sampling scheme and random radial sampling scheme. Image can be accurately reconstructed by collecting less data than the other two schemes.

Free-space methods for EMC antenna calibrations at Open Area Test Site (OATS) are not suitable for monopole antennas because of corresponding large wavelengths. The Equivalent Capacitor Substitution Method (ECSM) is adopted in ANSI and CISPR standards. One of major uncertainty factors of ECSM is the accuracy of capacitance. A novel capacitance extraction method based on full-wave impedance modelling is proposed in this paper, which is more accurate than conventional analytical formulae and experienced values, especially for practical monopole antennas, with a telescopic rod, or with a finite ground plane. A projection based model order reduction method is then utilized to achieve a compact macro-model. The capacitance value can be determined from the input impedance which is given by the macro-model output. The scheme and computational methodology of a developed calculation tool are introduced, together with some practical calibration data which indicates the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

In this paper we consider initial-boundary value problem on unsteady flows in a canal, which is an important model in hydrodynamics, under certain assumptions, the global resolvability of classical solution is obtained by using the method of global extension.

In this paper we present our approach to estimate mechanical fields (strains, stresses or displacements) inside isotropic infinite body with isotropic inclusions. Solution can be obtained easily for inclusions with ellipsoidal-like shapes by means of J. D. Eshelby's analytical solution given in 1957. Unfortunately for other distinct shapes of inclusions there is no analytic solution and finite element analysis is quite time consuming option. In our work, we focus on prediction of mechanical response for inclusions in form of short cylinders (e.g. steel fibers in steel-fiber-reinforced concrete) by means of artificial neural network. Which if trained on sufficiently large set of reference examples can predict desired mechanical fields and achieve considerable speed-up at the cost of approximate solution.

To provide the Traffic Regulatory Authority with detailed driving status of vehicles when an accident occurs, this paper proposes an information collection and transmission strategy based on OBD technology and Android mobile terminals. This strategy records the representative detailed operation parameters and location information of traveling vehicles. It removes the drawbacks of server load existing in the conventional vehicle state-aware systems, due to collect and upload the data in real-time. At last, we achieve a highly efficient transmission process by compressing the uploaded data.

Aluminum alloys exhibit poor weldability by conventional fusion welding process. The heat treatable aluminum alloy AA2014 is extensively used in the aircraft industry because it has good ductility and high strength to weight ratio. In this paper the effects of welding parameters and tool profile on the mechanical properties of friction stir welded butt joints of dissimilar aluminum alloy sheets AA6082 and AA2014. The process parameters such as rotational speed, transverse speed and axial forces were considered. The effect of parameters on weld quality was analyzed. Hardness and tensile tests are carried out at room temperature to examine the mechanical properties of the welded joints. The joints produced with straight square tool pin profile have higher ultimate tensile strength, whereas the straight cylindrical tool pin profile results in lower tensile strength.

Incremental forming is one of the manufacturing methods which uses relative simple technological equipment and can assure a high rate of the process flexibility. These requirements can assure the efficiency demanded by the industrial market, in the case of small production batches, which occur more and more often nowadays. To ensure the stability of the process, the required quality and dimensional accuracy of the parts have to be well controlled. This requires the evaluation of the parts dimensions by certain measurements. For hollow parts, the measurement of their thickness is always a challenge, mainly when the dimensions are smaller and their depth is greater. This paper presents a digital method for the parts dimensional evaluation and analysis, which can be very accurate and does not need mechanical contacts with the part during measurements. The parts were scanned with a 3D blue light scanner, on their both sides and then the data was processed into specialized software, to obtain the parts digital surface from the 3D scanned data. The digital data was compared with the theoretical approach, to establish some conclusions on the validity of the sinus law and to point out the critical zones, where the thinning is strong and may cause fractures. The digital scanning method presented can be used also for quality control and inspection, as the processing steps are considered user-friendly and easy to adapt to certain specific requirements.

In this paper it is presented an analysis regarding the influence of temperature from the chipping area, in the machining by centerless grinding with transversal feed. The temperature influences the machining precision, the additional loads of the machine – device – tool – part elastic system and the measurement accuracy. These influences have direct impact on the precision and quality of the machined parts executed using the centerless grinding process.

ISO 14649 standard, commonly recognized as STEP-NC is a data model interface for computer numerical controllers. STEP-NC goes much further that G codes and has a more comprehensive data model that overcomes the lack of process information in ISO 6983 files (G codes programming). The STEP compliant approach brings the possibility to integrate the machine controller to the overall enterprise information network, with the intention of having bi-directional data flow. This will provide the novel capability for upstream feedback of information from the numerical controller to the design and process areas in the process planning and manufacturing. This paper presents the key concepts of the proposed STEP Convertor of the STEP-CNC Mapping System. The objective of the main system is to take a generic STEP file as the input to drive a CNC machine tool. The main system is broken down into two main sub-systems, STEP Convertor and STEP-NC Translator. This paper will focus solely on the information structure and conceptualization of the STEP Convertor.

This paper investigates the exponential stability problem for a class of stochastic neural networks with leakage delay. By employing a suitable Lyapunov functional and stochastic stability theory technic, the sufficient conditions which make the stochastic neural networks system exponential mean square stable are proposed and proved. All results are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Example and simulation are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper deals with securing radioactive source by continuously monitoring system, which is made of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) reader and tags respectively. The RFID tags that are attached to the transport packages can send information at preset interval, to reader mounted in the cargo bay of the transport vehicle. When an alarm state is encountered by any of the sensors in the tag, the location information of the item using GPS is promptly sent to the monitoring center via the GPRS network. The experiments show that the real-time tracking system is an important prerequisite for ensuring safety of radioactive source in transport.

The objective of the present paper is to carry out the numerical studies on the buckling characteristics of unstiffened and anisogrid aluminium conical structures under axial static loading conditions. This study emphasizes the importance of lattice structures in space application wherein the minimization of weight of the principal part is given greater importance. Lattice structures are preferred in space applications due to their extremely low weight and high structural performance. Both unstiffened and anisogrid aluminium conical shell structures were modelled using Solidworks®. The finite element computations were done using LS-Dyna® under static loading conditions. The results of unstiffened and anisogrid shell structures are compared. Based on these studies, it has been asserted that there exists more energy absorption in case of anisogrid conical shell structures than the unstiffened counterpart. The results also reveal about 70% weight reduction in anisogrid conical shell structures.

Emergency communication refers to the appearance of natural or man-made sudden emergencies, which comprehensively use various communication resources to guarantee the emergency rescue and necessary communication. Emergency communication system requires not only mobile, but also rapid response and wide range. According to these requirements, the paper establishes a process model based on Object-oriented Petri net. The application shows that the model can be used to conveniently describe the dynamic and uncertainty characteristics of emergency communication tasks, which can reduce the complexity of process organization and provide the conditions for fast restructuring and integrating functions of module tasks.

In this study, three commercially available innerwears were collected from the market. Their moisture management properties were measured. Experimental results revealed that the fibre content played an important role in affecting the moisture management properties of the innerwears.

Rotation machine plays an important role in the production of electric power, chemical industry etc... In the methods of fault diagnosis, the selection of the Pc and Pm of common genetic algorithm will influence its convergence and is easy to be trapped into the local optimum to propose an adaptive genetic algorithm of the fault diagnosis; and in the implementation of system function, it takes the S3C2410 chip as the core of the microprocessor and uses the embedded Linux as the operating system as the software development platform. In this paper ,it introduces the design of the various parts of the system hardware in details, achieves the Boot Loader through combination of the hardware platform and successfully transplants the Linux operating system and builds a root file system, with the combination of the Linux operating system platform, it achieves the LCD frame buffer display device frame buffer, touchscreen A/D converter and development of Ethernet driver program, and the develops the data acquisition, wavelet packet analysis and Ethernet driver program etc. based on the system functions.
