This article presents the results of experimental studies transport flows by source and destination. in this way, the aim is to prove a methodology developed and proposed to the Municipality of Sofia for the reconstruction of a roundabout in order to improve the traffic capacity. The results for the correspondences between the entrances and exits of the intersections before and after the reconstruction are obtained by simultaneous video capture of the traffic flows passing through the intersection within 1 peak hour. In this part, a comparative analysis of the traffic flow correspondences measured before and after the reconstruction of the three-way intersection into a roundabout was performed. The comparison of the results and their analysis will give an assessment of the expediency of the performed reconstruction and will also serve as a proof of the accuracy of the proposed methodology for the reconstruction of intersections in roundabouts. This article presents an application of a developed methodology for the reorganization and evaluation of transport situations after the conversion of the movement of cars through a conventional three-way intersection into their movement through a roundabout. The only correct approach to improving the organization of road traffic is the correct choice of solutions for the organization and reorganization of traffic on the existing road. The research carried out is checking the improvement of the conditions, organization and safety of the traffic and whether the capacity of the intersection of a particular intersection has increased before and after its reconstruction from a three-way to a roundabout. What is specific about the developed methodology and the specific proposal for the reconstruction of an intersection is that it complies with the accepted limitations of the existing street areas and checks whether the movement of cars from all traffic flows in the busiest hours of the day in terms of traffic is unhindered. In recent years, roundabouts have been increasingly popular in Anbar cities, Iraq, particularly in Ramadi, as they have been considered as a solution of traffic congestion and safety concerns. Roundabouts are considered an integral part of roadway design because of their great importance in solving capacity and safety problems. The study's goal was to investigate the behavior of drivers at roundabouts in Ramadi city to determine whether they make sufficient use of this facility. In addition, drivers' behavior at roundabouts was studied to identify how familiar drivers are with traffic laws at the roundabouts, particularly the priority right rule, and to examine how often drivers follow the priority rule. The data were collected over the course of a week at two roundabouts (Al-Alam and Al-Saa) in Ramadi city, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., using a combination of digital footage and researcher field notes. The results of this study indicated that a high percentage of drivers have a general lack of awareness and understanding of roundabout rules and traffic laws, particularly the priority right rule. The results showed that in the Al-Alam roundabout, the range of violated vehicles was 1021 to 2824 per day. The passenger car had the largest percentage of violations (67.79 %.), while the big bus had the lowest (0.19%). The number of vehicles that were violated in the Al-Saa roundabout ranged from 1798 to 3677 per day. The passenger vehicle had the highest percentage of violations (88.56%), while the large bus had the lowest (0.14 %). The outcomes of this research will help Ramadi city's traffic planners and decision-makers make the best decisions feasible when dealing with roundabouts, while also assuring performance efficiency and safety. Today, the issue of quality approach to the design and construction of temporary roads at construction sites is of particular importance in terms of organization of construction. It is vital to ensure high pavement performance for the construction of temporary roads and their efficient operation. This article deals with Imprint pavement, a new technological solution for temporary road construction that meets current requirements and has high performance indicators in various areas, such as durability, abrasion and impact resistance, rutting and slip resistance, chemical resistance and hygienic properties. In order to determine various material characteristics of Imprint pavement, a variety of methods are used. For example, to determine the hardness of material, the two methods are used: British Method BS5284 and French Method NF T6602. Research results have shown that Imprint pavement may be successfully applied where there is a lot of traffic: on city streets, bicycle paths, public transport lanes, intersections, traffic circles, parking lots, etc. Under current conditions, up-to-date pavements are vital for temporary roads at construction sites as they reduce their wear and tear during construction and help to avoid accidents or additional costs for road rehabilitation that ultimately lead to higher construction costs and longer construction periods. Imprint pavement is strong enough; it has good abrasion resistance and impact resistance, does not slide under the wheels of cars and feet of pedestrians, is rut-resistant, has good resistance to aggressive media and has improved hygienic properties. A roundabout capacity is typically determined based on the capacities of the individual entry flows that can be absorbed by the circulating flow. In the absence of the entry flows, the entry lane utilization assumptions were usually made in the capacity analysis. This paper aims to study the effect of drivers' lane utilization on the roundabout capacity at large multi-lane roundabout during peak and off-peak hours. Video and voice recording techniques were used to gather traffic data at a 128 m inscribed diameter roundabout. As the roundabout was congested during peak hours, off-peak hours traffic data were also captured for comparison. The turning entry flows were analyzed to determine the lane utilization for left, through, right, and U-turn movements. Subsequently, the roundabout capacity was analyzed using SIDRA based on two case scenarios, i.e. using the entry flows from the field lane utilization; and entry flows based on the assumption of recommended driving scenario. The results were benchmarked with the queue length obtained from field measurement. The results indicated some differences in the roundabout capacities for both scenarios, with the dominant lane differing from approach to approach as a result of lane utilization. The SIB signalized intersection is connecting Jalan Adam Malik, Jalan Gatot Subroto, and Jalan Guru Patimpus. This intersection serves the important current that is the flow of outgoing and incoming traffic between the sub-districts of Medan, settlements, offices, trade and educational institutions. This intersection, where at certain times precisely during peak hours such as morning and evening often occur traffic problems. The high volume of traffic causes a long traffic jam. This research aims to evaluate the performance of the intersection to obtain a level of saturation from the intersection. Then the result of the analysis can be considered in planning a roundabout. Existing SIB signalized intersection analysis result shows the degree of saturation in each of the intersection arms has value as follows: intersection of Jalan Adam Malik 0.82, Jalan Guru Patimpus 0.45, and Jalan Gatot Subroto 1.68. The possibility of assigning the direction priority in a roundabout junction area is considered by the example of one of problematic sections of Sevastopol city street and road network. A study of retrial G-queue with balking and reneging, subject to modified Bernoulli server vacation, starting failure is analyzed. The positive arrival in the service area follows Poisson stream. When the assistance is inactive, one of the positive arrivals comes for service and the remaining add into the retrial group. During the assistance period of a positive customer, the arrival of the negative customer will eliminate the positive occurrence in-service they come in a retrial group and make an effort next time. Balking (or reneging) may occur during the entry of positive customers with probability 1-b and leaves the service area at specific times with probability b. To proceed further at the end of assistance for each positive arrivals, the server goes for vacation accompanying probability a and remains in the service area for assisting the next arrivals accompanying probability 1-a. The entire equations, solved by applying supplementary variable method to predict system capacity, orbit size are obtained. Delay Study is to evaluate the quality of traffic movement along a route and to determine the level of service at a study area. This study can be used to compare and evaluate operational conditions before and after roadway or when intersection improvements have been made. The objective of this study is to compare before and after the improvement of intersection into roundabout in term of delay time and level of service. This study only focused at the intersection which had massive congestion along Pengkalan Weld road. There are two intersections which experience a massive traffic jam during morning peak hour. The worst traffic jam occurs at the intersection connected to Gat Jalan Magazine (Case study area 1) especially for the vehicle coming from south of Pengkalan Weld to north bound. This traffic jam occurs because of the long cycle of traffic signal. The second worst traffic jam occours at the intersection connected to Gat Lebuh Chulia (Case study area 2). It is a 4 leg-intersections without a traffic signal. The traffic jam occur at the particular section because there is no traffic light which could guide the road users to cross that conflict area. The minor road which is from Gat Lebuh Chulia has disrupted the major road which is the Pengkalan Weld road. Thus, the motivation of current research is to evaluate these intersections into the space sharing intersection or also known as roundabout. To achieve this purpose, the simulation VISSIM model had been created.VISSIM software was also used to analyse the field data by using the average speed method. The field data was collected during AM peak hour since it has the highest traffic volume per hour compare to PM peak and off peak. From the result both method (vissim and field data) produced slightly the same result in delay time. This means that VISSIM simulation is acceptable to be used. Second model was develop in order to design roundabout by using the VISSIM simulation. As conclusion, by using Vissim simulation it was found that the improvement from intersection to roundabout had minimized delay time and improvement of LOS by 97.8% for Case study area 1 and 75.6% for Case study area 2. The development of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems is relatively recent in the Europe and is very fresh on Italy; however, several systems are operating and many more are being planned. A more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between land uses and BRT systems is needed, particularly in comparison to other fixed-guideway modes such as heavy and light rail. While recognizing that existing land uses have an important and complex influence on the development costs and benefits of fixed-guideway projects, this research is focused on the impacts that BRT projects have on surrounding property values. This research seeks the impact of BRT system on urban area where is a road intersection at grade such as turbo roundabout.
