SMA is a smart material that is unique in remembering its original shape even though it has undergone load deformation above the elastic limit due to temperature or load stimulation. Ni-Ti-based is one of the well-established SMA materials, compared to Cu-based and Fe based. Shape memory alloy made from iron, also known as shape memory steel, is widely used in various applications due to various advantages over NiTi. In its development, Iron-Based SMA was applied to various fields, including civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and biomedical. The use of Fe as an alternative material in the application of shape memory alloys has advantages such as low processing costs and the availability of abundant raw materials. Fe-based SMA properties such as ductility, magneticity, strength, biocompatibility, and bioactivity are used in various biomedical applications, including cardiovascular stents and bone prostheses. Other advantages found in Fe-based SMA are weld-ability, ductility, elastoplastic damping and strain hardening due to deformation induction ɣ to ɛ martensitic transformation. However, there is still lack of research that discusses the use of Fe-based SMA in biomedical applications. Some of the reasons are instability, impracticability and poor thermo-mechanic performance, which results in a low percentage of shape recovery. This is an opportunity to encourage research and development in optimizing Fe as an alternative shape memory material. This review will provide an overview of the development of Fe-based SMA materials, especially in the biomedical field. BMP280 sensor shows their readings in graphical format. 9% moisture present in the soil, noted during the test through the soil moisture sensor. 8% of Hard Particles are present in the atmosphere and the Lux value was 89.167 noted during the test with the help of MQ135 and Light Intensity sensor. A flame sensor also used in the prototype gives the warning. When it senses the flame, and it increases the safety. IoT devices are usually very expensive. Moreover, homes that already have bulbs and devices installed which are not IoT enabled would find it very uneconomic to upgrade to ones that can be controlled. Therefore, Microcontrollers can help us control these devices without needing to actually have devices that are IoT enabled. These devices can be anything like a light bulb, a fan, or any other appliances controlled from a switchboard. These devices are used in an IoT smart home scenario, without any additional Bluetooth/Wi-Fi chips being installed. During this COVID-19 pandemic, it is very important to have a monitoring system for everyone's movement to suppress the spread of the corona virus, especially in the education sector that we believe to have a fairly dense concentration with the surrounding environment. The framework is an integration monitoring system based on a remote access-based IoT and a wearable sensor system that can trigger an alert to detect COVID-19 early. This will become a community guard system when schools are declared ready to reopen based on experiments and prediction using the SEIR model approach. First, the performance of SEIR model to predict 100 days ahead to the Covid-19 fluctuation showed good since the RLMSE value is 1.2%. After having the information of Covid-19 spread in each region indicating the right time to reopen school, then the IoT will be implemented to trace the movement of stakeholder in school both indoor and outdoor settings. Static app analysis is part of this study. which examines if keywords are present and used often in the static feature sets are derived from the Android applications' manifest file. a collection of 400 apps will help detect malware more accurately. The experimental findings show that employing SVM and KNN, the average accuracy rates for a dataset of genuine malware and benign applications are 88.66 percent and 80.33 percent, respectively, with average true positive rates of over 70.0 percent and 79.66 percent. The exponential growth of wireless connectivity and smart devices nowadays, spectral bands are becoming much more crowded and occupied, while on the other hand spectrum allocated to licensed users is remains underutilized. Research in cognitive radio technology becomes more significant for proper utilization of spectrum. Although most of the licensed bandwidth is already reserved for authorized users, unlicensed users have a difficult time sharing the frequency bandwidth without impacting with the transmission of licensed users. Utilizing the momentarily vacant spectrum that has been allotted to authorized users, often known as the "spectrum hole" or "white space," is made possible through cognitive radio. If a licensed user reappears on its assigned channel to further utilize it, the unlicensed user quickly leaves the frequency and resumes communication in another open area of the spectrum. The movement of SUs is known as Spectrum Mobility and this gives rise to a new kind of handoff called Spectrum handoff. In this paper we have proposed an algorithm for finding the most appropriate channel for SU, minimizing the delay in the process of spectrum handoff, and maximizing the spectrum utilization byaccommodating more SUs with PU. Concept of backup time for SUs is introduced and each proposed algorithm is implemented forvariable and fixed backup time. Utilizing MATLAB, we conducted simulations. and results analysis represents the proposed algorithmsgives better utilization of spectrum. Further we have observed with variable backup time we can accommodate 3 time more SUs if number of available channels is increased. We use predefined path model to manually add satellite points to our path which we assume the victim would usually travel, we monitor the location based on time intervals, if the victim doesn't reach the location within given time, then the last reached location will be send as a SMS using GSM Module. The knowledge of these properties is usually carried out by means Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) on compound samples suitable for laboratory conditions, which can be specifically produced for the test or extracted from the tire, causing its destruction. In this scenario, the Applied Mechanics research group of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Federico II has developed an innovative device, called VESevo, capable of providing a smart and non-destructive characterization of the viscoelastic properties of tires tread compound. The patented technology of the VESevo allows the characterization of the Storage Modulus and the Loss Factor thanks to the build-in high-accuracy sensors, which enable the user to carry out many measurements at different conditions and directly in-situ. Solar rays reaching the indoor environment through the transparent components of the building envelope can adversely affect the energy performance of buildings. Operational energy efficiency can be achieved in buildings by using either fixed shading devices or kinetic systems that provide more efficient shading. Although high energy consumption may be required to operate active (i.e. motorized) kinetic shading devices, alternatively, the use of passive kinetic systems activated by smart materials allow for energy-efficient design. However, kinetic shading devices using passive systems have not yet gained currency in terms of production and application, when the associated literature is considered, but, it is clear that the interest in the subject of kinetic shading components activated by smart materials has increased in recent years. Yet, an analysis of the motion types and actuator design principles used in these studies is limited. This paper, therefore, aims to present an overview of kinetic shading devices activated by smart materials through a literature review, focusing on the use location of smart materials within shading devices (i.e. the function fulfilled) and the motion types that can be provided by each different smart material. The smart materials that will be examined and discussed in this respect are the shape memory alloys (SMA), shape memory polymers (SMP), thermo bi-metals, and hygroscopic woods (bi-layer wood, and bi-material wood). Another goal of the paper is to discuss the potential motion and geometry options for SMAs by examining the systems activated by other smart materials since SMAs are among the smart materials with high potential to be used as actuators in construction practice. The literature review focuses mainly on journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters indexed within Scopus and Web of Science databases, with particular attention on those containing implementation/application either as a prototype or as a product. In the paper, firstly, background information is given on smart materials with a focus on shape-changing materials among them, and motion typologies used in architecture. Following the explanation of the study methodology, the findings of the review are presented and discussed according to the common motions and shading device and/or unit geometries used in each shape-changing material. Additionally, the common motion mechanisms (i.e. actuator design principle) in each shape material and their adaption potential to be used with SMA are discussed. These technologies are known as personal protective equipment (PPE) enhanced with built-in smart electronic devices that unlock uncommon opportunities to protect people. In addition to wearable technology, smart solutions for workers' safety in construction include for example red point positioning systems, smart sensors and drones. The presented study deals with implementation of smart technologies to keep workers safe in construction sites in Slovakia. The aim of the study is to identify the most distinguished barriers of use of smart collective and personal protective equipment and to suggest the right steps to overcome these barriers. These proposals are aimed at manufacturers of smart protective equipment, at experts in charge of safety on construction sites and at representatives of construction companies. In order to meet the presented aim, two methods were applied: desk study and interview research method. Three experts from construction sector, two safety managers and one site manager, were involved in guided interview that was focused mainly to their experience with implementation of smart protective equipment in construction sites. As a result, the barriers to adoption of smart occupational safety and health solutions in construction and proposals to overcome the barriers and to expand implementation of intelligent protective equipment preventing accidents in construction are presented in the contribution. The paper presented an early development of an anxiety concentration index detection (AnCID) device for real-time anxiety measurements in individual sportspersons. Sports performance is interdependent with how the athlete perceives their anxiety level. The varying anxiety level will turn debilitative at specific points and result in poor performance, especially during the tournament. In addition, developing this digital AnCID device can help monitor the anxiety level according to the prescribed index. Detection refers to the physiological signals of the user. The proposed AnCID evaluated physiological sensing in detecting anxiety by integrating ESP8266 microprocessor sensors as a microcontroller. An appropriate Internet of Things (IoT) architecture for easier obtained measurement data from anxiety parameters and prepared a precise miniature electronic PCB board that can easily be attached to the human body. The alcohol content of the driver is detected using the MQ3 sensors embedded in the steering of the vehicle and cameras in the front. The breath of the driver is sensed through this sensor and the alcohol content is the blood is analyzed. The driver cannot start the car if the alcohol content is above the threshold value of. And cameras will analyze the color of driver's eye and if the colorof the eye is found to be different from normal, it will lead to engine power cutoff. Women's safety is important, whether they are at home, outside, or at work. According to the literature reviewed, there are numerous mobile applications that are employed for women's safety. According to a recent research study, when a person taps one leg behind the other four times, a footwear chip adhered to the footwear activates. Two everyday things, a neck-chain pendant and a smart watch, are employed in this project. We're working on a prototype for a smart security environment that can be activated by triple-tapping the pendant. When the device is turned on, it begins relaying Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates to In Case of Emergency (ICE) contacts and police control centers and the camera on the pendant takes video and sends it to the police control centers and the said ICE contacts. The smart watch device has a pulse rate sensor that detects the wearer's heart rate and a temperature sensor that detects the wearer's body temperature. When the band is thrown with force, the force sensor activates and relays the victim's current location. After 1-2 minutes of the gadget being turned on, a Piezo buzzer siren will sound. The proposed Smart security environment enters into the sentinel mode by saying the wake-up word with the use of voice-recognition module in the pendant. The sentinel mode activates the defense mechanism by administering electric shock. Electric current is emitted by an electric shock circuit. There are two metal prongs on the top of the band screen that generate shock when they come into contact with any surface or anyone. The proposed Smart security environment enters into zenith mode by saying the appropriate wake-up word which activates the attacking mechanism by pepper spraying from the wristwatch which furnishes the user much time to recover and escape from the danger. Numerous research have proved the efficacy of re-using wireless signals to achieve a variety of developing applications, ranging from daily activity identification to indoor localization to real-time monitoring, as wireless technology and sensor approaches have evolved. Such applications undoubtedly can prepare diverse domains for smart home, safety protection, health monitoring/management, smart healthcare as well as interactions with smart devices. To have a better grasp of current WiFi sensing technology, tools for extracting channel state information (CSI), and future WiFi sensing trends. We examine existing wireless sensing systems in terms of basic concepts, techniques, operation, and system structures in this paper. The design and deployment of an e-health monitoring network system are demonstrated in this paper. This system uses smart devices and wireless sensor networks in the real-time study of numerous patient data. Patients can be monitored via telemonitoring with this system, which intends to make diagnosis easier for clinicians. It also makes it easier for doctors and caregivers to keep continuous monitoring of their patients in any critical situations. To monitor the patient's health and surroundings, various medical and environmental sensors were employed, such as temperature, blood pressure, pH level and SPO2 sensors. The measured data have transmitted in real-time through a server/cloud. For privacy and security, the designed architecture of this project was used to keep a closed observation on a home patient case and many patients in health care units or public health hospitals. Furthermore, the readings can also be viewed on the webpage called "ThingSpeak" whereas the webpage is connected to the data cloud and displays the patient's readings via a visualizer in graph real-time form. Due to the expanding use of the internet and smart devices, various assaults such as intrusion, zero-day, Malware, and security breaches are a constant threat to any organization's network architecture. A Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) is required to detect attacks in network traffic. The organization interruption recognition framework (NIDS) is one of the key difficulties in the accuracy of finding and the rate of lost location in the field of organisation security. A two-initiative network outage recognition technique is proposed in this publication, based on GoogLeNet Inception and deep convolution organization (CNN) models. To identify the parallel problem from organizational packaging, the proposed technique leveraged the GoogLe Net start-up paradigm. This distinguishes between the quality of raw parcel data and traffic data. Multiclass breakdowns and organizational package elements are also distinguished using the CNN model. According to the first findings, the proposed technique improves the precision of the identification to 99.63 percent. In addition, the rate of non-identification was lowered to 0.1 percent. Industrial revolution 4.0 is the automation of conventional practices using smart devices. Actuators are one of the components in automation that have found a wide range of applications ranging from heavy-duty equipment to small-scale appliances. Compact linear actuators are equipped with robotic arms and industrial automation tools in medical equipment such as wheelchairs, beds, etc. for ease of operation. The variation in the design of actuators is available in abundance, still, the demand for the application-based design of actuators is never-ending. The present study focuses on the design of an economical, energy-saving, and flexible linear actuator that is suitable for concise instruments. The components needed for the current design – linear motor, motor driver, Nano Arduino; their technical features and advantages, dimensions, etc. have been reported in the current work. The final assembly of the circuit design for controlling the motor driver is detailed in the paper. The electrical efficiency of the actuator evaluated in the study is about 83.33% whereas the mechanical power output is 7W. The probable use of the designed actuator in a sediment sampler and for material testing purposes are also discussed whereby we have chosen Sungai Kerian river in South Penang (Malaysia) for the fieldwork application.
