Composite materials play important role in many industrial applications. Researchers are working on fabrication of new composite materials to enhance the applicability of these materials. Chopped strand mat glass fibre reinforced polymer composites is widely used in many industrial applications particularly in the automotive industry due to advantages such as low weight, ease of processing, price and noise suppression., The objective of the present work is to analyse mechanical and wear behaviour of chopped strand mat E-glass fiber, reinforced in epoxy matrix with carbon powder as filler. Three different types of composites are fabricated using 10% carbon, 20%carbon and 30% carbon with epoxy resin and hardener. The epoxy resin and hardener are mixed in 10:1 weight ratio. The present work shows that incorporation of carbon filler into E-glass fiber epoxy reinforced composites modifies the hardness compressive and wear properties of the composites when compared with unfilled E-glass epoxy composite. This article evaluates Izod Impact Behaviour on E-glass fibre - reinforced with epoxy composite addition of new Buteamonospermafiller to ordinary GFRP epoxy composites. Materials and Procedures: Buteamonospermafiller is added in varying volume fractions of 10% and 20% in this research, together with an epoxy matrix reinforced by E-glass fibre. Hand lay-up was used to create the laminates. Result Following the results of the testing, it was determined that a composite with a 10% volume fraction of Buteamonosperma filler displayed substantial Izod Impact strength in comparison to plain GFRP laminate. The p-value for Izod Impact strength across and across groups is 0.000. (p0.05). Conclusion: E-glass fibre reinforced composite material with Buteamonosperma filler and plain glass fibre reinforced epoxy composites were made within the scope of this investigation. The use of Buteamonosperma filler increases Izod Impact characteristics; the 10% Volume fraction had greater Izod Impact strength than the composite with 20% Volume fraction added. S-Glass fiber composite has steady and regular epoxy resin substance with SiO2Nano particles and high grating element. This composite is layered unidirectional S-Glass fiber (0˚/90˚/0˚/90˚) stacked up into a composite at 1:1 ratio of Fiber and Matrix volumes and 0% wt. of Nano, 0.5% wt. of Nano and 1% wt. of Nano SiO2 Particles added to the Epoxy. In this study, an experimental was carried out to verify the mechanical properties of a glass fibre reinforced epoxy compound filled with different ratios of Al2O3-TiO2 particles (97-3%). Addition in different percentages ranging from 5, 10 and 15%. A plain woven fabric available in the market with a fabric area of 270 g/m2 was used as the reinforcing material. After making the gradual additions of the ceramic powder material, and then conducting (tensile and elasticity) tests on the produced compound, it was found that the best tensile strength and the best elastic modulus are at the percentage of adding 10% of the ceramic powder. The objective of this research is to examine the tribological properties of glass fibre reinforced polymer composites. The Hand Layup Method was used to prepare Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic (GFRP) in this article. The study's substance is a bi-axial cloth with an epoxy matrix. Hardener and Epoxy Resin is applied to the Glass Fibre layer by layer to adhere the glass fibres and harden them into a single sheet of GFRP. The established GFRPs were then put through a series of physical tests to determine their properties. A pin-on-disc experiment was completed in order to investigate the wear pattern of GFRP composites. For the wear test, the pin-on-disc approach is used with various restrictions of load, sliding distance, and velocity. The wear rate, sliding characteristics, and weight loss of the plates were analyzed and compared. The findings reveal those different thicknesses of GFRP exhibit different properties. When the samples were exposed to mechanical tests, a deeper understanding of the material was achieved. In this work, we prepared a fiber reinforced composite made of banyan fiber, glass fiber, and epoxy resin (LY 556). Hand layup technique is opted for the fabrication of composites. First, pure epoxy composites were tested, and then banyan and glass fiber reinforcement were done in proportions of 10%, 20%, and 30%. Banyan fiber and glass fiber are mixed in a 1:1 ratio, that is if 10% fiber is added, 5% of banyan and 5% of glass fiber, similar for 20% and 30%. Fibers are placed in a longitudinal direction, and epoxy is cured with a hardener (HY 951). Tensile and flexural tests were performed using a standard Tensometer. Impact tester made from International Equipments, Mumbai was used for impact testing. To ensure accurate results, we made 15 samples of each composition, five for tensile, five for flexural and five for impact. The testing resulted in good and productive results. Ramie fiber is a kind of natural fiber that has the potential to be used as reinforcement in fiber-reinforced polymer composites due to its high specific strength, biodegradability, and availability in Indonesia. Furthermore, the processing of ramie fiber is more environmentally friendly than glass fiber, therefore a lot of research today is focusing on the use of ramie fiber in the fiber-reinforced polymer as a replacement for glass fiber in several applications, such as automotive, aerospace, and structural. This research aims to investigate the mechanical properties of woven ramie fiber-reinforced epoxy composite. The woven ramie fiber was soaked in 17.5% of sodium hydroxide solution with an immersion time of 0, 1, and 3 days. The epoxy resin was prepared by mixing bisphenol A-epichlorohydrin, polyamine amide, and solvent with different solvent concentrations (0, 25, 50 bisphenol-A wt%). The ramie fiber/epoxy composites were prepared by using the wet hand layup method. The mechanical properties of the composite were measured by using the tensile test according to ASTM D 3039. The volume fraction of the constituents was determined according to ASTM D 3171. The highest tensile strength and modulus of the composite obtained in this research were 47.78 MPa and 3480.65 MPa respectively. From the test results, it was found that the alkali treatment on ramie fiber improves the fiber-matrix interface properties. Furthermore, the fiber volume fraction of the composite increases along with the increase in the amount of solvent. However, the specific strength of ramie/epoxy composites obtained in this research still falls below the specific strength of glass/epoxy composites, therefore still requiring further development. Polymer matrix composite is mostly used as main material of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) structure. The composite material that is usually used is polymer matrix composite using glass or carbon fiber with epoxy or polyester resin. E-glass, carbon, and aramid are the fibers that widely used in composite because of their high stiffness and strength, and they are lightweight. Therefore, in this study, the authors conducted a study of the mechanical properties of E-glass composite materials. We use E-glass fiber ±45°, this E-glass is woven type with fiber direction -45° and +45°. This E-glass will be tied with Lycal resin and epoxy. The purpose of this study is to determine the mechanical properties material such as tensile strength and stiffness of a composite material of E-glass fiber ±45° with Lycal resin and epoxy resin. Composite was compared between Lycal and epoxy ones. We manufactured the composite E-glass fiber ±45º/Lycal and E-glass fiber ±45º/epoxy with hand lay-up method, the cut specimen geometry refer to ASTM D3039 for tensile standard test. Tensile test was conducted with Tensilon Universal Testing Machine – AND RTF-2410 with a 100kN load cell, specimen shape and size according to standard size ASTMD 3039. The result shown that the matrix had an effect on tensile strengths of composite samples. The tensile strength of E-glass fiber ±45º/epoxy composite is 65.43 MPa, while the tensile strength of E-glass fiber ±45º/Lycal composite is 49.94 MPa, so that E-glass fiber ±45º/epoxy composite is stronger than E-glass fiber ±45º/Lycal composite. In recent, the hybrid fiber reinforced polymer composites finds its advantageous application in many engineering and structural industries. This work presents the performance of the hybrid composites with respect to the thermal stability and tribological behavior. The nanocomposite prepared in this work contains the glass fiber as reinforcement in the epoxy adhesive and for further enhancement the nanosized Cerium(IV)-Zirconium(IV)Oxide particle is used as filler. The mechanical stirring is done to ensure the dispersion quality of the nanoparticle in the matrix. The content of Cerium(IV)-Zirconium(IV)Oxide was included in different weight fractions such as 0.5%, 1% and 1.5%. The thermogram reveals that the characteristic mass loss with respect to temperature is greatly reduced by the nano content. The study of NaOH soaking time on kenaf/glass fiber hybrid epoxy compositesis described in this work. Kenaf fiber and glass fiber were used as filler while the matrix used was epoxy. The kenaf fiber was treated with 3% of NaOH solution at different soaking time which were 3, 6 and 9 hours. The composite samples were produced using filament winding process. The samples were subjected to tensile testing (ASTM 3036) to determine the mechanical properties of kenaf filled epoxy composites and kenaf/glass fiber hybrid filled epoxy composites. The physical properties of the composite sample were analysed using water absorption test, density test and morphological of fracture surface of composites has undergone Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).
