So by constant improving, it realizes for materiel system to simulate reliability operation in complex environment.

Ni60AA and DZ-WC-12Co cemented carbide layer was prepared on 45 steel by high-speed flame spraying, then remelted by 5KW continuous wave CO2 laser. The micro-structure was analyzed by Olympus GX51 .micro hardness and the micro hardness was measured by HXY-1000TAY micro hardness meter. The wear resistant of coating was tested by MM-W1B vertical universal testing machine. The results showed that laser melting significantly eliminate the carbide layer unmelted carbide particles, holes and cracks and other defects, the micro-structure is finer and more uniform. After laser re-melted, the average micro hardness of hard alloy layer is up to 647HV, which is five times of the matrix. Under the experimental conditions, the friction coefficient of hard alloy layer drops from 0.1373 to 0.0948 by 31%.The wear-resistance of cemented carbide layer is improved by laser melting.

Based on the AZ91D magnesium alloy transmission case model, the paper analyzes the strength of transmission case by FEM method and manufacture products through the lost foam casting process. Then analyzes microstructure, ultimate strength, yield strength, elongation and impact toughness by sampling method. The results that AZ91D magnesium alloy is a preferable material in the small transmission field.

EBG structures can greatly reduce mutual coupling effects between patch antennas by suppressing surface wave propagation in a specified frequency range. A two-annular rectangular slot EBG structure is proposed and its performance is analyzed. HFSS simulation results show that mutual coupling loss in a 2x2 patches system is reduced appreciably (10dB in the work frequency band 19.6~22GHz (K/Ka band)) compared with antenna without EBG structures. What’s more, the side effects on other performances, like reflection parameter and bandwidth, are so little that can be neglected. With this EBG structure loaded in antenna array, the systematic performance can also be improved.

The scheduling algorithm is one of the key technologies in LTE-Advanced system. In this paper, a semi-persistent scheduling algorithm designed for the VoIP service in LTE-Advanced system is proposed. The time-frequency resource will be allocated to the users according to the semi-persistent scheduling algorithm based on the gain for each user on the certain RB. By introducing the mechanism and procedure, analyzing the proposed semi-persistent scheduling algorithm combined the source coding (SC) or modulation and coding scheme (MCS) techniques, the superiority of the proposed algorithm is shown. The simulation results indicate that the performance of the proposed semi-persistent scheduling algorithm is better than the traditional algorithms in term of resource utilization ratio, system throughput and scheduling success rate.

In various traditional technologies of solving the heat-dissipation problem for LED, all of these methods exhaust the waste heat into the environment and cause the more serious greenhouse effect. In this article, we present a new heat-dissipation method for high brightness 10W LED bulb using a novel structure of thermoelectric chip module. Evidence illustrates that graphite performs both the best heat-absorption material as well as the superior heat-dissipation material for LED thermoelectric chip module. Besides, the double-layered structure with graphite as heat-conduction material of LED thermoelectric module could create the most temperature-difference and thus conduct the highest output power. It implies that double-layered structure of LED thermoelectric chip module with graphite as heat-conduction material is the optimal structure for heat-dissipation of 10W LED bulb.

An improved algorithm for ship detection from the high-resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images is proposed in this paper. In this algorithm, we firstly utilize the image pre-processing step to suppress the speckle noise. Then, the ship ROIs (Region of Interest) are obtained based on MSER (Maximally Stable Extremal Region) method, which enables preliminary extraction of ship candidates. Finally, an improved CFAR (Constant False Alarm Rate) detector is designed for accurate detection with the purpose of accelerating the whole process and decreasing false alarms. The experimental results show that this method can achieve effective ship detection in high-resolution SAR images. The process of ship detection is also accelerated which is in favour of the project realization.

Through deep analysis of the commercial form, commercial space, land and traffic organization, fire performance of the commercial building and design difficulties of JinYu New Field Project, this paper summarizes the key points and difficulties of the commercial complex project in the design practice, and proposes the thinking on future development of the commercial complex in China.

Determining the best tool replacement time is important for minimizing overall manufacturing costs. Utilizing the yield index, the true process yield for dynamic processes with tool wear can be estimated, and the tool wear problem can be controlled. However, no measurement is free from error or uncertainty, a realistic approach is to assume that observed data contain a degree of imprecision. Thus, this study applies the fuzzy theory to the tool wear control problem. A decision rule is proposed to determine the appropriate time to replace a tool.

Due to the internal structure of red sandstone is loose, the influence factors of acoustic velocity are variety, it is necessary to make a quantitatively research on the influence factors. With the aid of the ultrasonic testing for the rock, p-wave velocity of red sandstone decreased with the increase of porosity under the condition of no coupling medium, when the porosity exceeded a certain value, its internal pores and fractures had a great influence on wave velocity. When the density of red sandstone was greater than 1.82 g/cm3, wave velocity changed little, while the density was less than 1.82 g/cm3, wave velocity decreased rapidly. Under water-solid coupling condition, the change of wave velocity and porosity had no obvious regularity, part of the specimens’ wave velocity decreased a bit, while some specimens’ wave velocity were slightly higher, but the amplitude were small; Under oil-solid coupling condition, longitudinal wave velocity changed significantly, the biggest percentage of increase was 46.3%, the average was 33%.

To reduce the environmental impact of abrasive polishing, we have investigated using a compact robot and fixed-abrasive polishing. We look at a five-joint closed-link compact robot with a fine diamond stone on its main axis to polish a glass plate. In this method, we measured the chatter vibration in glass polishing motion due to the low stiffness of the robot arm. Therefore, we estimated a dynamic characteristic of the robot arm by a hammering test and measured the friction coefficient between the glass plate and the abrasive stone. From these results, we attempted a novel polishing method to prevent its self-vibration using micro-oscillating pressing force with a voice coil motor. As a result, the proposed method of polishing a glass plate with a compact robot and a fine diamond stone was found to be effective.

Watermarking algorithms are the one of the effective methods to protect the copyright of digital products. There are many types of watermarking algorithms, in this paper, methods based on optimization algorithms, also named computational intelligence, are surveyed. The detail procedure of watermark embedding and the watermarking extraction is described, and the basic theory application of computational intelligence is also analyzed. Finally, the advice of these types of watermarking algorithm is given.

It is discussed characteristic and dominant factors of lower-middle Ordovician cave-reservoir in southern Tahe oilfield by analyzing data such as core, well drilling, logging, and seismic systematically, and by applying reservoir identifying, wells comparing, section of seismic analyzing, and ancient physiognomy recovering technology in this article. Three cave layers effected by the early hercynian karstification have been discovered in the study area. In single well section, the cave layer with strong heterogeneity corresponds with the Karst cycle with six combinations. The cave layers dominated by the early hercynian unconformity concentrate under0-200metre of the unconformity surface. The nearer to the unconformity surface, the more caves are filled. With effecting of fracture, the caves layers, especially larger cave, are often discovered in fractures concentrated zone. With effecting of ancient physiognomy, the caves layers are often in gentle carbonate slope. The unconformity, regional fractures and ancient physiognomy are the dominant factors of lower-middle Ordovician cave-reservoir in southern Tahe oil field.

PANI conducting polymer coating was electrochemically deposited on 316L stainless steel bipolar plates of PEMFC in the bath of 0.5M H2SO4 and 0.5M aniline. PANI coating could be synthesized with optimal conditions presenting in smooth and dense feature when the voltage was from 0.75V to 0.85V(Vs.SCE). The anti-corrosion performance of the coating was evaluated by electrochemical technique in the medium of 1M H2SO4 and 2ppM NaF at 70°C to simulate the working environment of PEMFC. It was found that the anodic branch of polarization curves presented in passivation character. EIS results indicated that the radius of the capacity impedance for PANI coating increased distinctly, which validated the excellent corrosion resistance of the coating. The surface morphology of the coating was observed by SEM, and the results showed that the surface of 316L stainless steel bipolar plates was covered by claviform shape coating. The chemical composition of the coating was investigated by FTIR and the results illustrated that the coating were composed of PANI.

Recently, Magnesium hydride MgH2is one of the attractive hydrogen storage materials because it reaches a high hydrogen capacity. However, the reaction kinetics is too slow and needs high temperature for progressing hydrogen absorption and desorption reactions, which hinders the process of practical applications and it is necessary to improve the hydrogen storage propesties. In this paper, most used or under research methods (Doping with metal and compound) of improving on the hydrogen storage of magnesium hydride are reviewed, in particular to elements substitution, addition of transition metal oxides or fluorine and so on. The advantages and disadvantages of vaious methods of improving on the hydrogen storage of magnesium hydride are compared. The trend of the methods of improving is also introduced.

The risk of di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) migration from plasticized poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) is an important issue for patients.We present a study on the effect of gamma radiation on the migration of DEHP from plasticized PVC into air and PVC as a function of time (0-28day) at 75°C.The samples were irradiated at dose of 25 kGy using a 60Co gamma radiation source.The change of weight loss at 75°C was studied as a function of time.Diffusion coefficient of samples was calculated,it was found that the diffusion coefficient significant increased after irradiation,the sample having ESO exhibited an decrease trend of DEHP migration,which shown that ESO can effectively impress the migration of DEHP from plasticized PVC either in control or irradiate samples,the same Phenomenon was found in air and PVC.The diffusion coefficient was between 8.37×10-11 and 2.68×10-10 cm2/s in air, 8.87×10-8 and 9.99×10-8 cm2/s in PVC.

In view of the characteristic of goods return in electronic commerce which some returned goods can be redistributed directly to customers after handling simply, a responsive closed-loop supply chain logistics network with integrating forward and reverse flow is researched. The returning feature of online commodity and economy of scale of return goods at initial collection point are based, and the optimization design model of closed-loop supply chain network aiming at determining the number and location of hybrid centers and initial collection points is presented, and a hybrid genetic algorithm is devised to solve the closed-loop supply chain logistics network problem. The usefulness of the proposed model and algorithm is validated by its application to an illustrative example.

The eye location was achieved by combining gray information with shape information, and matched the eye template of image with which was in the open state. To observe images within a certain time interval was to identify the open or closed state of the drivers' eyes, so as to determine if they have fatigue driving. The results showed that the algorithm could suppress gaussian noise and impulse noise very effectively, and had better filtering performance than the standard median filters..

Flooding experiments using ultrasonic method for measuring the material longitudinal wave velocity; measuring the sound attenuation coefficient, combined with the area ratio of the sample α using multiple pulse method. Associated with the sample area ratio between the speed of sound and sound attenuation analysis of α-phase titanium alloy TC4 through the material properties of ultrasound to characterize the degree of uniformity of the material microstructure, nondestructive evaluation of materials in order to achieve the purpose of the microstructure.

We report on the preparation and hydrogen desorption/absorption kinetics of nanocrystalline magnesium hydride (MgH2) added commercial TiO2by high-energy ball milling. The phase and composition of the as-milled powders are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results show that the milled sample contained MgH2phase, small amount of Mg and various phases of TiO2such as tetragonal and orthorhombic structure. The effect of the milling time (10, 20 and 30 h) on the hydrogen desorption property of MgH2has been investigated and found that the milling time of 20 h has excellent dehydrogenation properties, which can release 3.3 wt% H2within 60 min at 300oC, which indicates that the kinetics of hydrogen desorption of MgH2-TiO2composite has been greatly enhanced compared to the pure MgH2. Moreover, hydrogen absorption kinetics of the sample milled 20 h has been studied and the hydrogen content is 0.7, 0.8 and 1.2 wt% H2at 250, 280 and 300oC within 60 min, respectively.

It combines temporal logic and state transition, establishes software failure model. Through the model, the possibility of high-risk state of software can be analyzed. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through application in three protection device software which is typical safety-critical military software.

It is now possible to implant a network of sensors inside the human body for monitoring the human body functions and the surrounding environment. In a body area network (BAN), the confidentiality and integrity of the sensitive health information are particularly important. The key establishment is thus a fundamental security service in BANs. To guarantee validity of the key and avoid misbehavior of self-ish nodes, we propose a fuzzy trust model for public key queries in BANs. Every user accesses the public keys of other nodes from those trusted neighbors rather than all of its neighbors. The proposed trust model uses fuzzy sets to calculate every node’s trust value. Our trust model exploits multiple metrics rather than a single metric, and converts them into a single numerical ranking. We perform an extensive evaluation of the proposed approach. The results indicate that our trust model can not only identify abnormal nodes’ behaviors, but can also reduce query traffic while improving the reliability of the returned public keys.

To prepare a homogenous low-molecular-weight chitosan oligosaccharide with high solubility and physiological activity, the CTS-Cu (II) chelate was degraded by cellulose, xylanase, semi-cellulase, pectinase, lipase. Cellulose was used to investigate the enzymolysis of the CTS-Cu (II) chelates at various chelation rates. The oligochitosan yields were determined by ultrafiltration and spectrophotometry. The molecular weight distributions of the degradation products were compared by gel column chromatography. Results showed that the generation of the CTS-Cu (II) chelate promoted chitosan degradation. Product yield can be changed by controlling the chelation rates of the CTS-Cu (II) chelates. When the CTS-Cu (II) chelate was degraded at a chelation rate of 100%, most molecular weights of the products were about 2500 Da, and the oligochitosan yield was 89.21%. All these results provided a theoretical basis and experimental method for preparing oligochitosan with a homogenous molecular weight.

N-S equation is basic equation of fluid flow. Based on N-S equation, it deduced two different forms of governing equation which refer to turbulent-stream function equation and stream function equation. It analyzed their characteristics including advantages and disadvantages. The sudden expansion flow was calculated using turbulent-stream function N-S equation and stream function N-S equation separately. The results showed that both of them can have good effects.

This research develops a heuristic algorithm for assembly line balancing problem (ALBP) of stitching lines in footwear industry. The proposed algorithm can help to design the stitching line with workstations, machines and operators for the production of every new product model. Rank-positional-weighted heuristics and hybrid genetic algorithms are proposed to solve ALBP. First, the heuristics assign tasks and machines to workstations. This solution is then used as an initiative population for hybrid genetic algorithm for further improvement. Real data from footwear manufacturers and experimental designs are used to verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, comparing with one existing bidirectional heuristic. Results indicate that when the size and shape of shoes increase, the proposed genetic algorithm achieves better solution quality than existing heuristics.Production managers can use the research results to quickly design stitching lines for short production cycle time and high labor utilization.

To avoid traffic congestion’s becoming the obstruct of social and national economic development is the final goal that professionals in transportation field make great efforts to pursue. At the same time, with the increasing popularity of mobile phones, we can get a lot of phone base station data to identify the residents’ travelling track. Thus we can analyze the residents’ travelling behavior and get residents’ travelling patterns and mechanism. Also, residents’ travelling could be induced and guided in order that the condition of urban transport can be improved. Based on the above background, this paper is mainly based on mobile phone base station data and GIS data analysis method research on the urban transportation of residents’ travelling track.

The effect of N, N-diethylthiourea (DET) upon the microvia filling by Cu electrodeposition was investigated by cross-sectional images using optical microscopy. The bottom-up filling of the electroplating bath was achieved with an addition of DET. The electrochemical study indicated that the polarisation on the cathode was increased with an addition of DET. The results present DET as an accelerator which is beneficial for microvias filling for high density interconnections printed circuit board.

According to domestic and international history of foam glass, the foam glass development situation of the United States, France, Japan, the former Soviet Union and China was specifically introduced. Moreover ,the foam-glass-production-lines history was divided by generations and the production-lines characteristics each generation was presented in detail. Compared with the production scale ,investments and unit production cost of foam glass production line on different generations ,we could find that building high-generation production lines, increasing productivity, improving quality, reducing costs and enhancing competitiveness will be the development trend of foam glass industry in the future.

On the basic of rock and soil mass mathematic model, with the boundary conditions of classic section, the seepage field in construction period is simulated. Some conclusions are drawn: the hydraulic gradient of the channel slope where the seepage spills out exceeds the allowable hydraulic gradient and some engineering measures are needed to avoid seepage damage; hydraulic gradient on rock base is less than the allowable hydraulic gradient and the seepage is safe.

The temperature effects on the ultimate strength of 93WNiFe alloy have been investigated systematically through tensile tests, fracture surfaces and microstructure. The temperature ranges from 10 to 900 degrees. The results show that the ultimate strength decreases with the increase of temperature, and there is a platform in 300 to 600 degrees .The deposition has been observed in fracture surfaces from 500 to 600 degrees. The fracture modes influence the ultimate strength,deposition can improve mechanical properties of W-W and W-M interfaces, it is the cause of the ultimate strength platform.

Phosphate conversion coatings was investigated on the surface of AZ91D magnesium alloy in a manganese dihydro phosphate baths. The influence of Ca2+ on coating microstructure was evaluate by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) techniques, and the corrosion resistance of the coating was tested by polarization curve methods in 3.5%NaCl. Surface observation results show that the conversion coating presents in crystal feature, and the coating containning Ca was uneven with large grains and small grains. The adding of Ca2+ compound in the bath was found to be important for the attainment of good combination between the coating and Mg alloy substrate. Polarization curve results indicate that the phosphate conversion coating containing Ca could enhance the corrosion potential and improve corrosion resistance.

This study demonstrates the replication property and surface roughness for metal micro-mold that combines the replica molding (REM) and electroforming techniques. The micro-mold firstly uses the silicon wafer to fabricate the master mold by UV-LIGA method, and then uses the sputtering method to sputter the Ni element as the seed layer on the surface of master mold. The electroforming method manufactures the Ni mold insert from the master mold with seed layer. Finally, this study uses the PDMS material to replicate the micro-feature from the Ni mold insert by replica molding. This study indicates the replication property and surface roughness of different micro-feature shapes and sizes (concave and convex) for Ni mold insert and molded PDMS.

It presents the Multi-level filters idea of the adaptive noise cancellation system based on the fact that the adaptive noise cancellation system cant filter out noise signal completely. According to the linear combination and the variable step-size LMS algorithm, it analyzes the effects of the two level filters. Theory analyzing and simulation results prove that the multi-level filter can get a better the filtering effect than the one-filter, which improves the filter performance in terms of the fast convergence speed, tracking speed and the low maladjustment error. And the anti-noise materials with multi-level filter based on the adaptive noise cancellation system has the good de-noising ability of noisy signals.

Inverted-F antenna loaded meander-line was studied by using High Frequency Structure Simulator V11(hereinafter referred to as HFSS V11). Research had focused on main performance parameters of Inverted-F antenna which loaded different number of meander-lines and different height of meander-lines. According to research, main performance parameters of inverted-F antenna, such as resonant frequency, resonance impedance and S11 parameter of resonance point could be adjusted effectively. Inverted-F antenna could be miniaturized effectively by selecting appropriate number and height of meander-lines. The technology of loaded meander-line is a kind of simple and effective way that can be applied to the RFID field and other areas that have high requirements for miniaturization of antenna.

ZnO photocatalyst was prepared by sol-gel method with the assistance of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). The specific surface area and structure were characterized by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method and X-ray diffraction (XRD), respectively. The photocatalytic activity of ZnO prepared for decolorization of methyl orange (MO) aqueous solution was evaluated. The results show that ZnO (mol ratio of ZnO/CTAB is 10) baked at 500°C holds the best photocatalytic activity.

In the paper methyl violet degradation by bamboo charcoal-microwave irradiation method was researched. The main parameters which were studied including the amount of bamboo charcoal, H2O2dosage, FeSO4·7H2O dosage and time of microwave irradiation were investigated. The UV-visible spectra of methyl violet were determined. The results show that: under bamboo charcoal, H2O2and FeSO4·7H2O microwave condition the degeneration rate of methyl violet was almost 100%. The increase of bamboo charcoal dosage can accelerate the reaction process, speeding up the degradation of methyl violet. The increase of H2O2may provide more ·OH and speed up the reaction process, but when up to a certain amount, the influence is weakened. The lengthening of microwave time may enhance the reaction temperature, and urge the methyl violet to degrade completely. For 0.2 g·L-1methyl violet 4:9 diluted, by adding 0.5g bamboo charcoal, 1 mL 36% H2O2, 1 mL FeSO4·7H2O of 1mol·L-1and under mesotherm microwave for 30s, the methyl violet can be all degradated.

The energy-saving of envelope structure plays an important role in building energy conservation, so the first step to save rural residential energy is energy-saving of envelope structure. Basing on the purpose of building ecological and sustainable new countryside housing, this article intensively studies the present condition of energy-saving rural residential envelope structure in cold regions, proposes corresponding energy-saving measures, calculates the quantity and the rates of energy saving , payback period after taking energy-saving measures on the basis of modeling ,and indicates its feasibility and importance.

We fabricated mono-dispersed β-quartz GeO2by microemulsion synthesis at room temperature. The obtained particles were 300 nm sized GeO2walnut and hollow waxberry shaped GeO2which were consisted of nanosphere with average size of 20 nm. The evolution of high pressure studies were devoted in a diamond anvil (DAC) cell by Angle Dispersed X-ray Diffraction (ADXD) at room temperature. A phase transformation of β-GeO2to amorphous GeO2was detected in walnut GeO2, while the waxberry GeO2was found to transform to monoclinic phase directly. It is strongly suggested that size effect played a key role in the high-pressure transformation from the amorphous and monoclinic phase. By fitting the compression data to the BirchMurnaghan equation of state, the bulk moduli of the walnut and waxberry shaped β-GeO2particles were determined to be 33±5, and 38±4 GPa with B0= 3, respectively.

This paper proposed a novel design method for a special kind of non-linear filters based on building block technique. Due to the introduction of such technique, the filter was successfully separated from the math model of the specific problem to be investigated thus can be designed independently. The difficult but important task of checking the correctness of the deigned filter was solved for a class of non-linear filters based on point selection technique. Simulation results proved the correctness and the effectiveness of the proposed design method.

Palm vein pattern recognition is one of the newest biometric techniques researched today. In order to reduce the recognition calculation and increase the recognition accuracy, the region of interest (ROI) in the palm vein image must be selected. There are three areas on the palm: the center area of palm, the thenar area and the hypothenar area.This paper does contrast experiment of light absorption on the three area of palm. The experiment result is the thenar area is selected as the main scope of ROI.

Palm vein is covered with skin, some captured NIR palm vein images are not clear because of light scattering in the skin. The identification performance is not high by extraction palm vein feature directly. This paper proposes project the palm vein image matrix based on two dimensional Fisher linear discriminant directly, then calculates the Euclidean distance of the projection matrix, seeks the nearest distance for classification. The experiment has been done in a self-build palm vein database. Firstly, this paper tests the proposed method by different component numbers, then compares the identification performance with the other typical palm vein recognition methods.

Palm vein pattern recognition is one of the newest biometric techniques researched today.At present, literatures selecte the center of the palm as the ROI of palm vein recognition. However the vein image in this area is not clear in some peoples palm. In this paper, we proposed a new location method of ROI which takes thenar area as the ROI. In the experiment part, it compares the recognition rate between the new and the traditional ROI in self-established contactless palm vein database. The result shows that this new method has got the recognition rate of 98.9258% and has increased recognition rate 2.0911% compared with the traditional one.

The treatment of H2S and NH3 odor produced in sewage disposal process was carried out in industrial scale bio-trickling filters filled with different kinds of filler. The processing capacity per unit volume and the processing capacity per unit volume filler on odor removal performance for different bio-trickling filter were investigated. The results demonstrate that there are remarkable differences in deodorization performance between different kinds of bio-trickling filters.

Regarding the teaching of the course Computer Network, this article analyzes the MAC frame format and the structure of ARP message, designs a virtual machine test environment, and tries to structure the concept of ARP Messages in the virtual network environment which can be realized into practical methods. This method is conducive to the learning of the theories of the structure of ARP messages, providing a new way of thinking to explore from theories to the practice of the computer network courses.

Epoxy asphalt has been proposed for the steel bridge deck and the heavy traffic on the road because it shows excellent heat resistance, free from bleeding, low temperature cracking resistance. In this paper, the curing characteristics of epoxy resin system and epoxy asphalt system were studied. The curing time and the viscosity of different epoxy resin and epoxy asphalt systems were tested. Experimental results indicated that: In the pure epoxy system, the curing time was decreased with the content of curing agent and accelerator increasing, and increased with the diluents addition. Epoxy asphalt was prepared after asphalt system addition; the viscosity was increased with curing time increasing and accelerator content increase. The allowable reserved time was decreased with the accelerator content increase. The growth of the system viscosity was slowly and the curing of epoxy asphalt was hindered with the more asphalt addition.

In this study, suspended carrier bed process was applied to treat the effluent from the chemical-biological flocculation plant. The bio-startup characteristics and the mechanisms of biofilm maturation were investigated. Results showed that the NH3-N removal efficiency was higher than 80% after a 10d run, and the NH3-N concentration of effluent was lower than 5.0mg/L, which satisfies the needs of The Pollutants Discharge Standard for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants (Class I-A). In other words, the suspended carrier used here did a good job. The bed finished its bio-startup process with stable nitrification efficiency. The biofilm formed on the carriers wing plates, which was helpful for its adhesion and ageing biofilm to fall off. It was found through electron microscope observation and PCR-DGGE (Polymerase Chain Reaction-Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis) that the biofilm which formed on the surface of the carrier contained plenty of microbes. The stability of the microbial system was efficient in stabilizing nitrification.
