In the title compound, [Zn(C(18)H(14)N(4))(2)(H(2)O)(4)](NO(3))(2)·1.49H(2)O, the Zn(II) atom, lying on an inversion center, is coordinated by two N atoms from two N,N'-bis-(pyridin-3-yl-methyl-idene)benzene-1,4-diamine ligands and four water mol-ecules in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The nitrate anion is disordered over two sets of sites, with an occupancy ratio of 0.744 (4):0.256 (4). The uncoordinated water mol-ecule is also disordered with an occupancy factor of 0.744 (4). O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the complex cations, nitrate anions and uncoordinated water mol-ecules into a supra-molecular layer parallel to (102).

The title arsenatomolybdate, K(5)[Mo(8)O(24)(OH)(2)(AsO(4))]·2H(2)O, which was obtained hydro-thermally, features an [AsMo(8)O(28)(OH)(2)](5-) anion, which is formed by two Mo(4)O(14)(OH) units that are linked by As in a sandwich-like fashion. The overall symmetry of the anion is m2m. The {Mo(4)O(14)(OH)} core is composed of two pairs of confacial biocta-hedral {Mo(2)O(9)} units with two μ(4)-O atoms which have been characterized as hydroxyl groups. The anions are further inter-connected by potassium cations, forming a three-dimensional network structure with the uncoordinated water mol-ecules occupying the channels. The structure is further stabilized by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding.

The cation of the title salt, C(18)H(20)N(4) (2+)·2HSO(4) (-)·2H(2)O, lies on a center of inversion with the mid-point directly in the middle of the p-phenyl-ene ring. Within the hydrogensulfate ion, the S-O(H) bond is the longest of the S-O bonds. The dihedral angle between the central and terminal ring of the cation is 78.6 (2)°. In the crystal, the cation, anion and water mol-ecule inter-act by O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional network.

The crystal structure of the title adamantane derivative, C(12)H(18)O(3), has been determined by X-ray diffraction. The structure is stabilized by inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a chain.

The Zn atom in the title compound, [Zn(C(7)H(5)O(3))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)]·H(2)O, exists in a distorted cis-ZnN(2)O(4) octa-hedral coordination geometry. One of the 4-hydroxy-benzoate anions chelates in a bidentate manner whereas the other is monodentate. The complex mol-ecules are linked through the uncoordinated water mol-ecules into a hydrogen-bonded sheet structure.

The Zn atom in the title salt, [ZnCl(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)]Cl·C(3)H(7)NO, is chelated by two phenanthroline mol-ecules and is bonded to one chloride ion and one water mol-ecule, resulting in a ZnN(4)ClO octa-hedral coordination environment with the Cl and O atoms in a cis conformation. The cations and anions are linked by O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds across a center of inversion, forming a hydrogen-bonded dimeric association. The dimethyl-formamide solvent mol-ecule is disordered over two orientations in a 0.56 (1):0.44 (1) ratio.
