It is shown that Birkhoff's theorem for the general theory of relativity is overcome in the $f(R)$-theory of gravitation. That means, the $f(R)$-theory of gravitation, unlike Einstein's general theory of relativity, does not forbid gravitational radiation from a spherically symmetric source (whether stationary or non-stationary). As a consequence, in the $f(R)$-theory a spherically symmetric gravitational deformation (e.g., collapse/expansion or pulsation) could emit gravitational waves (of tensor- and scalar polarization modes), a phenomenon impossible in the general relativity. A test model is examined and it turns out that the gravitational radiation is strongest when the surface of the deforming object is in the vicinity of the (modified) event horizon, even suddenly flares up just outside the latter. In this letter, within the $f(R)$-theory of gravitation, a gravitational wave equation and a formula for the gravitational emission power are derived. These formulae, along with searching for signals, can be used for the experimental test of the $f(R)$-theory. We extend the study of corrected thermodynamics for the 3D black holes conformally coupled to scalar field up to non-perturbative level. We calculate the exponential correction to entropy arises due to the microstate counting for quantum states on the boundary. This exponential correction in entropy attributes to the other thermodynamical quantities also. We study the stability and phase transition for this system of black hole under the influence of non-perturbative correction. A complete canonical formulation of general covariance makes it possible to construct new modified theories of gravity that are not of higher-curvature form, as shown here in a spherically symmetric setting. The usual uniqueness theorems are evaded by using a crucial and novel ingredient, allowing for fundamental fields of gravity distinct from an emergent space-time metric that provides a geometrical structure to all solutions. The nature of equation of state for the matter in the neutron star plays an important role in determining its maximal mass. In addition, it must comply with the condition of causality. Noting that the central density of a maximally massive neutron star is well above the nuclear saturation density, a deconfined quark core in the central region is motivated in this paper. We analyze this scenario by employing the MIT bag model to represent the core region and one of the unified equations of state for the region outside the core. Such combination is found to solve the problem of causality violation. In each case of the combined equations of state, the radial profile of $\rho r^2$ displays a peak and dominant contribution to the total mass of the star comes from the region around the peak value of $\rho r^2$, whereas the contribution is small from the regions near the center and the surface. This peak occurs in the region of hadronic matter for the combinations considered in this paper. Importantly, we find that the position of the peak in $\rho r^2$ is well-correlated with the maximal mass -- the highest value of $1.98\ M_\odot$ obtains for the case with the peak occurring farthest from the center. This gravitational threshold being obtained for a non-rotating neutron star, we expect the threshold to lie well above 2 $ M_\odot$ for a rapidly rotating neutron star, that may explain the existance of massive pulsars from recent astronomical observations.

The field of warp research has been dominated by analytical methods to investigate potential solutions. However, these approaches often favor simple metric forms that facilitate analysis but ultimately limit the range of exploration of novel solutions. So far the proposed solutions have been unphysical, requiring energy condition violations and large energy requirements. To overcome the analytical limitations in warp research, we introduce Warp Factory: a numerical toolkit designed for modeling warp drive spacetimes. By leveraging numerical analysis, Warp Factory enables the examination of general warp drive geometries by evaluating the Einstein field equations and computing energy conditions. Furthermore, this comprehensive toolkit provides the determination of metric scalars and insightful visualizations in both 2D and 3D, offering a deeper understanding of metrics and their corresponding stress-energy tensors. The paper delves into the methodology employed by Warp Factory in evaluating the physicality of warp drive spacetimes and highlights its application in assessing commonly modeled warp drive metrics. The objective of this manuscript is to investigate the traversable wormhole solutions in the background of the $f(R, \phi)$ theory of gravity, where $R$ is the Ricci scalar and $\phi$ is the scalar potential respectively. For this reason, we use the Karmarkar criterion for traversable static wormhole geometry to create a wormhole shape function. The suggested shape function creates wormhole geometry that links two asymptotically flat spacetime regions and meets the necessary requirements. The embedding diagram in three-dimensional Euclidean space is also discussed in order to demonstrate the wormhole configurations. For our current analysis, we choose the suitable values of free parameters for $f(R, \phi)$ gravity models to discuss the wormhole geometry. It can be observed that our proposed shape function provides the wormhole solutions with less amount of exotic matter. It can be noticed that energy conditions especially null energy conditions are violated for all considered models. The violation of energy conditions indicates the existence of exotic matter and wormhole geometry. It is concluded that the shape function acquired through the Karmarkar technique yields validated wormhole configurations with even less exotic matter correlating to the chosen $f(R, \phi)$ gravity models., Comment: 14 pages, 12 figures

In this paper, we consider isotropic solution and extend it to two different exact well-behaved spherical anisotropic solutions through minimal geometric deformation method in $f(R,T,R_{\rho\eta}T^{\rho\eta})$ gravity. We only deform the radial metric component that separates the field equations into two sets corresponding to their original sources. The first set corresponds to perfect matter distribution while the other set exhibits the effects of additional source, i.e., anisotropy. The isotropic system is resolved by assuming the metric potentials proposed by Krori-Barua while the second set needs one constraint to be solved. The physical acceptability and consistency of the obtained solutions are analyzed through graphical analysis of effective matter components and energy bounds. We also examine mass, surface redshift and compactness of the resulting solutions. For particular values of the decoupling parameter, our both solutions turn out to be viable and stable. The present work is devoted to explore some interesting cosmological features of a newly proposed theory of gravity namely $\mathcal{F}(R,L_m,T)$ theory, where $R$ and $T$ represent the Ricci scalar and trace of energy momentum-tensor, respectively. Firstly, a non-equilibrium thermodynamical description is considered on the apparent horizon of the Friedmann's cosmos. The Friedmann equations are demonstrated to be equivalent to the first law of thermodynamics, i.e., ${T_{Ah}d\varepsilon_{h}^\prime+T_{Ah}d_{i}\varepsilon_{h}^\prime=-d\hat{E}+\hat{W}dV}$, where ${d_{i}\varepsilon_{h}^\prime}$ refers to entropy production term. We also formulate the constraint for validity of generalized second law of thermodynamics and check it for some simple well-known forms of generic function $\mathcal{F}(R,L_m,T)$. Next, we develop the energy bounds for this framework and constraint the free variables by finding the validity regions for NEC and WEC. Further, we reconstruct some interesting cosmological solutions namely power law, $\Lambda$CDM and de Sitter models in this theory. The reconstructed solutions are then examined by checking the validity of GSLT and energy bounds. Lastly, we analyze the stability of all reconstructed solutions by introducing suitable perturbations in the field equations. The origin of matter domination in the Universe is one of the most exciting open puzzles in particle physics and cosmology. Despite many theoretical developments, the actual reason behind baryon-antibaryon asymmetry is still unknown. Our aim here is to examine this phenomenon in the framework of modified gravity theories, which have impressively elucidated the contemporary accelerated expansion of the universe as well as the early phase. Consequently, this letter sets its sights on the task of constraining a specific variant of modified gravity, namely, $f(Q)$ gravity, in conjunction with gravitational baryogenesis. In this manuscript, we investigate the behavior of stellar structure through embedding approach in $f(R, \phi, X)$ modified theory of gravity, where $R$ denotes the Ricci scalar, $\phi$ represents the scalar potential and $X$ indicates the kinetic potential. For this purpose, we consider the spherically symmetric space-time with anisotropic fluid. We further choose three different stars i.e. LMC X-4, Cen X-3, and EXO 1785-248 to demonstrate the behavior of stellar structures. We further compare the Schwarzschild space-time as exterior geometry with spherically symmetric space-time to calculate the values of unknown parameters. In this regard, we investigate the graphical features of stellar spheres such es energy density, pressure components, anisotropic component, equation of state parameters, stability analysis and energy conditions. Furthermore, we investigate some extra conditions such as mass function, compactness factor and surface redshift respectively. Conclusively, all the compact stars under observations are realistic, stable, and are free from any physical or geometrical singularities. We present a new perspective on the symmetries that govern the formation of large-scale structures across the Universe, particularly focusing on the transition from the seeds of galaxy clusters to the seeds of galaxies themselves. We address two main features of cosmological fluid dynamics pertaining to both the linear and non-linear regimes. The linear dynamics of cosmological perturbations within the Hubble horizon is characterized by the Jeans length, which separates stable configurations from unstable fluctuations due to the gravitational effect on sufficiently large (and therefore, massive enough) overdensities. On the other hand, the non-linear dynamics of the cosmological fluid is associated with a turbulent behavior once the Reynolds numbers reach a sufficiently high level. This turbulent regime leads to energy dissipation across smaller and smaller scales, resulting in a fractal distribution of eddies throughout physical space. The proposed scenario suggests that the spatial scale of eddy formation is associated with the Jeans length of various levels of fragmentation from an original large-scale structure. By focusing on the fragmentation of galaxy cluster seeds versus galaxy seeds, we arrived at a phenomenological law that links the ratio of the two structure densities to the number of galaxies in each cluster and to the Hausdorff number of the Universe matter distribution. Finally, we introduced a primordial magnetic field and studied its influence on the Jeans length dynamics. The resulting anisotropic behavior of the density contrast led us to infer that the main features of the turbulence could be reduced to a 2D Euler equation. The Kerr spacetime is a fundamental solution of general relativity (GR), describing the gravitational field around a rotating, uncharged black hole (BH). Kerr spacetime has been crucial in modern astrophysics and it serves as a foundation for the study of gravitational waves (GWs). Possible deviations in Kerr geometry may indicate deviations from GR predictions. In this work, we consider the Johannsen-Psaltis metric, which is a beyond-Kerr metric characterized by a single free parameter, and then we probe this theory framework using several GWs observations from the third Gravitational-wave Transient Catalog (GWTC-3). We find that, for most of the events analyzed, there are no significant deviations from the null hypothesis, i.e. the Kerr metric. The basic aim of this manuscript is to investigate the cosmological solutions in the context of the modified $f(R, T)$ theory of gravity, where $R$ is the Ricci scalar and $T$ is the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. For our current work, we consider the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker space-time for finding the solutions of field equations. We investigate the nature of universe by considering acceleration expansion of universe, ultra relativistic universe, sub-relativistic universe, dust universe, radiation universe, stiff universe. Moreover, we apply the power law technique by taking two different $f(R, T)$ gravity models to observe the expanding nature of the universe. The bouncing scenario is also discussed by choosing some particular values of the model parameters and observed the energy conditions, which are satisfied for a successful bouncing model. In this work, we investigate the bouncing behavior of the universe within the framework of $f(R,L_m)$ gravity, using a simple form of $f(R,L_m)=\frac{R}{2}+L_m^\gamma$ (where $\gamma$ is a free model parameter) as previously studied. The model predicts a vanishing Hubble parameter in the early and late times, with the deceleration parameter approaching a specific limit at the bouncing point. The EoS parameter is observed to cross the phantom divide line ($\omega=-1$) near the bouncing point, indicating a significant transition from a contracting to an expanding phase. The model satisfies the necessary energy conditions for a successful bouncing scenario, with violations indicating exotic matter near the bouncing point. Stability conditions are satisfied for certain values of $\gamma$ near the bouncing point, but potential instabilities in late-time evolution require further investigation. Motivated by the effect of the energy of moving particles in $C-$metric, we first obtain exact accelerating black hole solutions in gravity's rainbow. Then, we study the effects of gravity's rainbow and $C-$metric parameters on the Ricci and Kretschmann scalars, and also the asymptotical behavior of this solution. Next, we indicate how different parameters of the obtained accelerating black holes in gravity's rainbow affect thermodynamics quantities (such as the Hawking temperature, and entropy) and the local stability (by evaluating the heat capacity). In the following, we extract the geodesic equations to determine the effects of various parameters on photon trajectory in the vicinity of this black hole, as well as obtain the radius of the photon sphere and the corresponding critical impact parameter to gain insight into AdS black hole physics by adding the gravity's rainbow to $C-$metric., Comment: 12 pages, 4 figures, 1 table

A critical discussion on the $H_0$ Hubble constant tension is presented by considering both early and late-type observations. From recent precise measurements, discrepancies emerge when comparing results for some cosmological quantities obtained at different redshifts. We apply a very simple procedure to construct non-singular cosmological models for flat Friedmann universes filled with minimally coupled scalar fields or by tachyon Born-Infeld-type fields. Remarkably, for the minimally coupled scalar field and the tachyon field, the regularity of the cosmological evolution, or in other words, the existence of bounce, implies the necessity of the transition between scalar fields with standard kinetic terms to those with phantom ones. In both cases, the potentials in the vicinity of the point of the transition have a non-analyticity of the cusp form that is characterized by the same exponent and is equal to 2/3. If, in the tachyon models evolution, the pressure changes its sign, then another transformation of the Born-Infeld-type field occurs: the tachyon transforms into a pseudotachyon, and vice versa. We explore an autonomous system analysis of dark energy models with interactions between dark energy and cold dark matter in a general systematic approach to cosmological fluids. We investigate two types of models such as local and non-local ones. In particular, a local form of interaction is directly proportional to only the energy density, while a non-local interaction is directly proportional to the energy density as well as the Hubble parameter. As a consequence, it is explicitly demonstrated that in both cases there exist the stability points in terms of cosmological parameters. Physics-informed neural network (PINN) analysis of the dynamics of S-stars in the vicinity of the supermassive black hole in the Galactic center is performed within General Relativity treatment. The aim is to reveal the role of possible extended mass (dark matter) configuration in the dynamics of the S-stars, in addition to the dominating central black hole's mass. The PINN training fails to detect the extended mass perturbation in the observational data for S2 star within the existing data accuracy, and the precession constraint indicates no signature of extended mass up to 0.01% of the central mass inside the apocenter of S2. The self-interaction spin-2 approach to general relativity (GR) has been extremely influential in the particle physics community. Leaving no doubt regarding its heuristic value, we argue that a view of the metric field of GR as nothing but a stand-in for a self-coupling field in flat spacetime runs into a dilemma: either the view is physically incomplete in so far as it requires recourse to GR after all, or it leads to an absurd multiplication of alternative viewpoints on GR rendering any understanding of the metric field as nothing but a spin-2 field in flat spacetime unjustified.

The quantum Hall effect under the influence of gravity and inertia is studied in a unified way. We make use of an algebraic approach, as opposed to an analytic approach. We examine how both the integer and the fractional quantum Hall effects behave under a combined influence of gravity and inertia using a unified Hamiltonian. For that purpose, we first re-derive, using the purely algebraic method, the energy spectrum of charged particles moving in a plane perpendicular to a constant and uniform magnetic field either (i) under the influence of a nonlinear gravitational potential or (ii) under the influence of a constant rotation. The general Hamiltonian for describing the combined effect of gravity, rotation and inertia on the electrons of a Hall sample is then built and the eigenstates are obtained. The early history of string theory is marked by a shift from strong interaction physics to quantum gravity. The first string models and associated theoretical framework were formulated in the late 1960s and early 1970s in the context of the S-matrix program for the strong interactions. In the mid-1970s, the models were reinterpreted as a potential theory unifying the four fundamental forces. This paper provides a historical analysis of how string theory was developed out of S-matrix physics, aiming to clarify how modern string theory, as a theory detached from experimental data, grew out of an S-matrix program that was strongly dependent upon observable quantities. Surprisingly, the theoretical practice of physicists already turned away from experiment before string theory was recast as a potential unified quantum gravity theory. With the formulation of dual resonance models (the "hadronic string theory"), physicists were able to determine almost all of the models' parameters on the basis of theoretical reasoning. It was this commitment to "non-arbitrariness", i.e., a lack of free parameters in the theory, that initially drove string theorists away from experimental input, and not the practical inaccessibility of experimental data in the context of quantum gravity physics. Gravitational Waves (GWs) provide a unique way to explore our Universe. The ongoing ground-based detectors, e.g., LIGO, Virgo, and KAGRA, and the upcoming next-generation detectors, e.g., Cosmic Explorer and Einstein Telescope, as well as the future space-borne GW antennas, e.g., LISA, TianQin, and TaiJi, cover a wide range of GW frequencies {from $\sim 10^{-4}\;\rm Hz$ to $\sim 10^3\;\rm Hz$} and almost all types of compact objects in close orbits serve as the potential target sources for these GW detectors. This review considers the theoretical approaches to the understanding of dark energy which comprises approximately 68\% of the energy of our Universe and explains an acceleration in its expansion. Following a discussion of the main approach based on Einstein's equations with the cosmological term, the explanations of dark energy using the concept of some kind of scalar field are elucidated. These include the concept of a quintessence and modifications of the general theory of relativity by means of the scalar-tensor gravity exploiting the chameleon, symmetron, and environment-dependent dilaton fields and corresponding particles. After mentioning several laboratory experiments allowing to constrain the hypothetical scalar fields modeling the dark energy, special attention is devoted to the possibility of constraining the parameters of chameleon, symmetron, and environment-dependent dilaton fields from measuring the Casimir force. It is concluded that the parameters of each of these fields can be significantly strengthened in near future by using the next generation setups in preparation suitable for measuring the Casimir force at larger separations., Comment: 16 pages, 1 figure

During particle collisions in the vicinity of the horizon of black holes, it is possible to achieve energies and temperatures corresponding to phase transitions in particle physics. It is shown that the sizes of the regions of the new phase are of the order of the Compton length for the corresponding mass scale. The lifetime is also on the order of the Compton time. It is shown that the inverse influence of the energy density in the electro-weak phase transition in collisions on the space-time metric can be neglected., Comment: 12 pages

Continuous gravitational-wave signals (CWs) are long-lasting quasi-monochromatic gravitational-wave signals expected to be emitted by rapidly-rotating non-axisymmetric neutron stars. Depending on the rotational frequency and sky location of the source, certain CW signals may behave in a similar manner to narrow-band artifacts present in ground-based interferometric detectors. Part of the detector-characterisation tasks in the current generation of interferometric detectors (Advanced LIGO, Advanced Virgo, and KAGRA) aim at understanding the origin of these narrow artifacts, commonly known as ``spectral lines''. It is expected that similar tasks will continue after the arrival of next-generation detectors (e.g. Einstein Telescope and Cosmic Explorer). Typically, a fraction of the observed lines in a given detector can be associated to one or more instrumental causes; others, however, have an unknown origin. In this work, we assess the similarity of CW signals to spectral lines in order to understand whether a CW may be mistaken for a noise artifact. Snyder's quantum space-time which is Lorentz invariant is investigated. It is found that the quanta of space-time have a positive mass that is interpreted as a positive real mass gap of space-time. This mass gap is related to the minimal length of measurement which is provided by Snyder's algebra. Several reasons to consider the space-time quanta as a 24-cell are discussed. Geometric reasons include its self-duality property and its 24 vertices that may represent the standard model of elementary particles. The 24-cell symmetry group is the Weyl/Coxeter group of the $F_4$ group which was found recently to generate the gauge group of the standard model. It is found that 24-cell may provide a geometric interpretation of the mass generation, Avogadro number, color confinement, and the flatness of the observable universe. Symmergent gravity is an emergent gravity model with an $R+R^2$ curvature sector and an extended particle sector having new particles beyond the known ones. With constant scalar curvature, asymptotically flat black hole solutions are known to have no sensitivity to the quadratic curvature term (coefficient of $R^2$). With variable scalar curvature, however, asymptotically-flat symmergent black hole solutions turn out to explicitly depend on the quadratic curvature term. In the present work, we construct asymptotically-flat symmergent black holes with variable scalar curvature and use its evaporation, shadow, and deflection angle to constrain the symmergent gravity parameters. Concerning their evaporation, we find that the new particles predicted by symmergent gravity, even if they do not interact with the known particles, can enhance the black hole evaporation rate. Concerning their shadow, we show that statistically significant symmergent effects are reached at the $2\,\sigma$ level for the observational data of the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) on the Sagittarius A* supermassive black hole. Concerning their weak deflection angle, we reveal discernible features for the boson-fermion number differences, particularly at large impact parameters. Considering the condition on conservation of energy momentum tensor (EMT), we study late time cosmological solutions in the context of $f(R,T)=R+\alpha T^{n}$ gravity (where $\alpha$ and $n$ are constants) in a flat FLRW spacetime. The present model discusses the case of a barotropic perfect fluid as the matter content of the Universe, along with the case when dissipative effects are taken into account. Briefly, assuming a single perfect fluid we find that the mentioned model is not capable of presenting an observationally consistent picture of the late time accelerated expansion of the Universe; nevertheless, the model leads to admissible solutions when the bulk viscosity is included. In this regard, a consistent setting is found considering the Eckart, Truncated and Full Israel-Stewart theories which determine the behavior of bulk viscosity. In the presence of bulk viscosity, the behavior of the deceleration parameter (DP) shows that the underlying model can describe an acceptable evolution even if the isotropic pressure of matter content of the Universe is negligible., Comment: 18 pages and 7 figures

In the paper, we analyze some physical properties of static traversable WH within the framework of $f(R,T)$ modified gravitational theory. Firstly, we explore the validity of the null, weak, dominant and strong energy conditions for wormhole matter for the considered $f(R,T)=R+\alpha R^2+\lambda T$ model. Research shows that it is possible to obtain traversable WH geometry without bring in exotic matter that violates the null energy condition in the $f(R,T)$ theory. The violation of the dominant energy condition in this model may be related to quantum fluctuations or indicates the existence of special matter that violates this EC within the wormhole. Moreover, it is found that in the $f(R,T)=R+\alpha R^2+\lambda T$ model, relative to the GR, the introduction of the geometric term $\alpha R^2$ has no remarkable impact on the wormhole matter components and their properties, while the appearance of the matter-geometry coupling term $\lambda T$ can resolve the question that WH matter violates the null, weak and strong energy condition in GR. Additionally, we investigate dependency of the valid NEC on model parameters and quantify the matter components within the wormhole using the ``volume integral quantifier". Lastly, based on the modified Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkov equation, we find that the traversable WH in this theory is stable. On the other hand, we use the classical reconstruction technique to derive wormhole solution in $f(R,T)$ theory and discuss the corresponding ECs of matter. It is found that all four ECs (NEC, WEC, SEC and DEC) of matter in the traversable wormholes are valid in this reconstructed $f(R,T)$ model, i.e we provide a wormhole solution without introducing the exotic matter and special matter in $f(R,T)$ theory., Comment: 17 pages, 8 figures

This review devoted to the centenary of Alexander Friedmann's prediction of the Universe expansion presents the results obtained by him in 1922 and 1924 and the sketch of their further developments. Special attention is paid to the role of mathematics which enabled Friedmann to perform a radical departure from the conventional practice of considering our Universe as a static system. The effect of particle creation in expanding Universe is discussed concurrently with the earlier investigated phenomenon of pair creation from vacuum by external electric field. The numbers of scalar and spinor particles created at different stages of the Universe evolution are presented, and the possible role of the effect of creation of particles in the formation of relativistic plasma and cold dark matter after the inflationary period is noted. In recent days gravastar has been a very lucrative alternative to black holes, as it does not suffer from the singularity problem as well and it is based on sound physical grounds. Modified Symmetric teleparallel equivalent of gravity also has seen quite a few successes in recent years both in cosmology as well as in astrophysical objects like black holes and wormholes. In this paper, we have considered the charged gravastar in $f(\mathcal{Q})$ formulation and have solved it fully analytically and found various physical characteristics like energy density, entropy and EoS for the gravastar. We have used the Israel junction condition to make some phenomenological predictions regarding the potential of the thin shell around the gravastar. We have also studied the deflection of the angle caused by the gravastar. We extend the anholonomic frame and connection deformation method, AFCDM, for constructing exact and parametric solutions in general relativity, GR, to geometric flow models and modified gravity theories, MGTs, with nontrivial torsion and nonmetricity fields. Following abstract geometric or variational methods, we can derive corresponding systems of nonmetric gravitational and matter field equations which consist of very sophisticated systems of coupled nonlinear PDEs. Using nonholonomic frames with dyadic spacetime splitting and applying the AFCDM, we prove that such systems of PDEs can be decoupled and integrated in general forms for generic off-diagonal metric structures and generalized affine connections. We generate new classes of quasi-stationary solutions (which do not depend on time like coordinates) and study the physical properties of some physically important examples. Such exact or parametric solutions are determined by nonmetric solitonic distributions and/or ellipsoidal deformations of wormhole hole configurations. It is not possible to describe the thermodynamic properties of such solutions in the framework of the Bekenstein-Hawking paradigm because such metrics do not involve, in general, certain horizons, duality, or holographic configurations. Nevertheless, we can always elaborate on associated Grigori Perelman thermodynamic models elaborated for nonmetric geometric flows. In explicit form, applying the AFCDM, we construct and study the physical implications of new classes of traversable wormhole solutions describing solitonic deformation and dissipation of non-Riemannian geometric objects. Many instruments for astroparticle physics are primarily geared towards multi-messenger astrophysics, to study the origin of cosmic rays (CR) and to understand high-energy astrophysical processes. Since these instruments observe the Universe at extreme energies and in kinematic ranges not accessible at accelerators these experiments provide also unique and complementary opportunities to search for particles and physics beyond the standard model of particle physics. In particular, the reach of IceCube, Fermi and KATRIN to search for and constrain Dark Matter, Axions, heavy Big Bang relics, sterile neutrinos and Lorentz Invariance Violation (LIV) will be discussed. The contents of this article are based on material presented at the Humboldt-Kolleg "Clues to a mysterious Universe - exploring the interface of particle, gravity and quantum physics" in June 2022.

In the framework of the theory of general relativity, in order to obtain stable traversable wormholes, matter needs to violate the null energy condition. It is well known that the violation of the energy condition (EC) of matter leads to various physical problems. To address this issue, researchers have turned their attention to exploring modified theories of gravity, aiming to avoid the violation of ECs by introducing geometric terms. In this paper, within the framework of the $f(Q)$ modified gravitational theory, we investigate the effectiveness of ECs for matter in traversable wormholes. We examine the compliance of four types of energy conditions (weak energy condition, null energy condition, dominant energy condition, and strong energy condition) in the model by selecting a power-law model for $f(Q)$ and considering different shape functions $b(r)$. Our study reveals that for traversable wormholes realized through the $f(Q)$ modified gravity theory using the power-law model $f(Q)=a(-Q)^n$, all four types of ECs for matter can be satisfied. A novel class of Buchdahl-inspired metrics with closed-form expressions was recently obtained based on Buchdahl's seminal work on searching for static, spherically symmetric metrics in ${\cal R}^{2}$ gravity in vacuo. Buchdahl-inspired spacetimes provide an interesting framework for testing predictions of ${\cal R}^{2}$ gravity models against observations. To test these Buchdahl-inspired spacetimes, we consider observational constraints imposed on the deviation parameter, which characterizes the deviation of the asymptotically flat Buchdahl-inspired metric from the Schwarzschild spacetime. We utilize several recent solar system experiments and observations of the S2 star in the Galactic center and the black hole shadow. By calculating the effects of Buchdahl-inspired spacetimes on astronomical observations both within and outside of the solar system, including the deflection angle of light by the Sun, gravitational time delay, perihelion advance, shadow, and geodetic precession, we determine observational constraints on the corresponding deviation parameters by comparing theoretical predictions with the most recent observations. This article concerns with the characterization of a spacetime and modified gravity, such as $f\left(R,G\right)$, $f\left(R,T\right)$ and $f\left(R,L_{m}\right)$-gravity equipped with the projective curvature tensor. We establish that a projectively flat perfect fluid spacetime represents dark energy era. Also, we prove that a projectively flat perfect fluid spacetime is either locally isometric to Minkowski spacetime or a de-Sitter spacetime. Furthermore, it is shown that a perfect fluid spacetime permitting harmonic projective curvature tensor becomes a generalized Robertson-Walker spacetime and is of Petrov type $I$, $D$ or $O$. Lastly, we investigate the effect of projectively flat perfect fluid spacetime solutions in $f\left(R,G\right)$, $f\left(R,T\right)$ and $f\left(R,L_{m}\right)$-gravity, respectively. We also investigate the spacetime as a $f\left(R,G\right)$-gravity solution of and use the flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker metric to establish a relation among jerk, snap, and deceleration parameters. Numerous energy conditions are studied in terms of Ricci scalar with the model $f\left(R,G\right)=\exp(R)+\alpha \left(6G\right)^{\beta}$. For this model, the strong energy condition is violated but the weak, dominant and null energy conditions are fulfilled, which is in excellent accordance with current observational investigations that show the universe is now accelerating.

In this paper, in the classical framework we evaluate the lower bounds for the sensitivities of the generalized Lemaitre Tolman Bondi metric. The calculated lower bounds via the linear dynamical systems L_{\frac{\partial}{\partial\theta}}, L_{\frac{\partial}{\partial r}}, and L_{\frac{\partial}{\partial\phi}} are -\ln2+\ln|(\dot{R}B)^{2}-(R')^{2}|-2\ln|B|, 2\ln|\dot{B}|-\ln2 and -\ln2-2\ln|B|+\ln|(\dot{R}^{2}B^{2}-R'^{2})\sin^{2}\theta-B^{2}\cos^{2}\theta| respectively. We also show that the sensitivities and the lower sensitivities via L_{\frac{\partial}{\partial t}} are zero. In the quantum framework we analyse the properties of the Einstein-Vaz shells which are the final result of the quantum gravitational collapse arising from the Lemaitre Tolman Bondi discussed by Vaz in 2014. In fact, Vaz showed that continued collapse to a singularity can only be obtained if one combines two independent and entire solutions of the Wheeler-DeWitt equation. Forbidding such a combinatin leads naturally to matter condensing on the Schwarzschild surface during quantum collapse. In that way, an entirely new framework for black holes (BHs) has emerged. The approach of Vaz as also consistent with Einstein's idea in 1939 of the localization of the collapsing particles within a thin spherical shell. Here, following an approach of oned of us (CC), we derive the BH mass and energy spectra via a Schrodinger-like approach, by further supporting Vaz's conclusions that instead of a spacetime singularity covered by an event horizon, the final result of the gravitational collapse is an essentially quantum object, an extremely compact "dark star". This "gravitational atom" is held up not by any degeneracy pressure but by quantum gravity in the same way that ordinary atoms are sustained by quantum mechanics. Motivated by the stability of the electroweak Higgs vacuum we consider the possibility that the Standard Model might work up to large scales between about $10^{10}$ GeV and close to the Planck scale. A plausible scenario is an emergent Standard Model with gauge symmetries originating in some topological like phase transition deep in the ultraviolet. In this case the cosmological constant scale and neutrino masses should be of similar size, suppressed by factor of the large scale of emergence. The key physics involves a subtle interplay of Poincar\'e invariance, mass generation and renormalisation group invariance. The Higgs mass would be environmentally selected in connection with vacuum stability. From a five-dimensional Einstein-Maxwell theory, Bah et al. constructed a singularity free topology star/black hole [Phys. Rev. Lett. 126, 151101 (2021)]. After the Klein-Kluza reduction, i.e., integrating the extra space dimension, it can obtain an effective four-dimensional static spherical charged black hole with scalar hair. In this paper, we study the quasinormal modes (QNMs) of the scalar field, electromagnetic field, and gravitational field on the background of this effective four-dimensional charged black hole. The radial parts of the perturbed fields all satisfy a Schr\"{o}dinger-like equation. Using the asymptotic iteration method, we obtain the QNM frequencies semianalytically. For low overtone QNMs, the results obtained from the asymptotic iteration method and the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin approximation method agree well. In the null coordinates, the evolution of a Gaussian package is also studied. In this manuscript, we explore the shadow and the greybody bounding characteristics of a regular black hole within 4-dimensional space-time, employing the context of gravity that is scale-dependent. Our focus lies in determining limitations on the parameter denoted as $\tilde{\epsilon}$, which serves as a descriptor for the scale-dependent solution with respect to the classically observed shadow radius $R_\text{sh}$ as indicated in the documented data from the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT). Our result indicates that there is a unique value for $\tilde{\epsilon}$ occurring at the reported mean of $R_\text{sh}$ and the uncertainties could be the result of the fluctuating value of the scale-dependent parameter. We found that $\tilde{\epsilon} > 0$ is positive for Sgr. A*, but $\tilde{\epsilon}<0$ for M87*. Utilizing M87* as a reference model, we scrutinized the shadow radius and weak deflection angle within the specified constraints. Discrepancies were observed not only in the shadow but also in the deflection angle of photons, particularly when the photon's impact parameter closely approached the critical impact parameter., Comment: 21 pages, 8 figures

We have investigated the structural properties of strange quark stars (SQSs) in a modified theory of gravity known as massive gravity. In order to obtain the equation of state (EOS) of strange quark matter, we have employed a modified version of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model (MNJL) which includes a combination of NJL Lagrangian and its Fierz transformation by using weighting factors ($1-\alpha $) and $\alpha$. Additionally, we have also calculated dimensionless tidal deformability ($\Lambda$) in massive gravity. To constrain the allowed values of the parameters appearing in massive gravity, we have imposed the condition $\Lambda_{1.4 {M}_{\odot }}\lesssim580 $. Notably, in the MNJL model, the value of $\alpha$ varies between zero and one. As $\alpha$ increases, the EOS becomes stiffer, and the value of $\Lambda$ increases accordingy. We have demonstrated that by softening the EOS with increasing the bag constant, one can obtain objects in massive gravity that not only satisfy the constraint $\Lambda_{1.4 {M}% _{\odot }}\lesssim580$, but they also fall within the unknown mass gap region ($2.5{M}_{\odot}-5{M}_{\odot }$). With regard to the coupling constant and the strong magnetic field of neutron stars, we have studied these stars in the 4D Einstein Gauss Bonnet (4D EGB) gravity model in order to grasp a better understanding of these objects. In this paper, we have shown that the neutron star properties are considerably affected by the coupling constant and magnetic field. We have found that as a consequence of the strong magnetic field and the coupling constant, the maximum mass and radius of a neutron star are increasing functions of the coupling constant, while Schwarzschild radius, compactness, surface gravitational redshift, and Kretschmann scalar are decreasing functions. Additionally, our study has shown that the physical properties of a magnetized neutron star are greatly influenced not only by the strong magnetic field, but also by the anisotropy. Moreover, we have shown that to obtain the hydrostatic equilibrium configuration of the magnetized material, both the local anisotropy effect and the anisotropy due to the magnetic field should be considered. Finally, we have found that in the anisotropic magnetized neutron stars, the maximum mass and radius do not always increase with increasing the internal magnetic field., Comment: 7 figures and 5 tables

Motivated by a new model of nonlinear electrodynamics known as Modified Maxwell (ModMax) theory, an exact analytical solution for black holes is obtained by coupling ModMax nonlinear electrodynamics and $F(R)$ gravity. Then, the effects of the system's parameters ($F(R)$-ModMax gravity parameters) on the event horizons are analyzed. The obtained black holes thermodynamic properties in the $F(R)$-ModMax theory are investigated by extracting their thermodynamic quantities such as Hawking temperature, electric charge, electric potential, entropy, and also total mass. The first law of thermodynamics for the system under study is evaluated. Next, by considering these black holes, the impact of various parameters on both the local stability and global stability are investigated by examining the heat capacity and the Helmholtz free energy, respectively. Our analysis focus on the dragging effects on the accretion flows and jet emission in Kerr super-spinars. These attractors are characterized by peculiar accretion structures as double tori, or special dragged tori in the ergoregion, produced by the balance of the hydrodynamic and centrifugal forces and also effects of super-spinars repulsive gravity. We investigate the accretion flows, constituted by particles and photons, from toroids orbiting a central Kerr super-spinar. As results of our analysis, in both accretion and jet flows, properties characterizing these geometries, that constitute possible strong observational signatures or these attractors, are highlighted. We found that the flow is characterized by closed surfaces, defining inversion coronas (spherical shell), with null the particles flow toroidal velocity ($u^\phi=0$) embedding the central singularity. We proved that this region distinguishes proto-jets and accretion driven flows, co-rotating and counter-rotating flows. Therefore in both cases the flow carries information about the accretion structures around the central attractor, demonstrating that inversion points can constitute an observational aspect capable of distinguishing the super-spinars., Comment: 34 pages 29 multipanels figures, 3 Tables

The main objective of this paper is to investigate the impact of $f(\mathcal{Q},\mathcal{T})$ gravity on the geometry of anisotropic compact stellar objects, where $\mathcal{Q}$ is non-metricity and $\mathcal{T}$ is the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. In this perspective, we use the physically viable non-singular solutions to examine the configuration of static spherically symmetric structures. We consider a specific model of this theory to examine various physical quantities in the interior of the proposed compact stars. These quantities include fluid parameters, anisotropy, energy constraints, equation of state parameters, mass, compactness and redshift. The Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff equation is used to examine the equilibrium state of stellar models, while the stability of the proposed compact stars is investigated through sound speed and adiabatic index methods. This article consists of an introduction to the theory of nonassociative geometric classical and quantum information flows defined by star products with R-flux deformations in string gravity. Corresponding nonassociative generalizations of the concepts of classical Shannon entropy, quantum von Neumann entropy, R\'{e}nyi entropy are formulated. The fundamental geometric and quantum information objects are computed following the Grigori Perelman statistical thermodynamic approach to Ricci flows and gravity theories generalized for phase spaces modelled as (co) tangent Lorentz bundles. Nonassociative parametric deformations and nonholonomic thermo-geometric versions of statistical generating functions, their quantum analogues as density matrices are considered for deriving the entropy, energy and fluctuation functionals. This allows us to define and compute respective classical and quantum relative and conditional entropies, mutual information and nonassociative entanglement and thermodynamic information variables. We formulate the principles of nonassociative quantum geometric and information flow theory, QGIF, and study the basic properties of such quasi-stationary models related to modified gravity theories. Applications are considered for nonassociative deformed and entangled couples of four-dimensional, 4-d, wormholes (defined by respective spacetime and/or momentum type coordinates) and nonassociative QGIFs of 8-d phase space generalized wormholes configurations.
