To address the problem of quantitative analysis for delamination damage in composite materials, a method of evaluating delamination area based on Lamb waves multiscale features is proposed. In this method, the Lamb wave scattering signals are collected from composite plate with delamination defects using finite element simulation, and the multiscale feature vectors of time-frequency domain are extracted by using complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise algorithm. In addition, the delamination area can be evaluated and predicted through a generalized regression neural network by taking advantage of nonlinear mapping capability. The hyperparameters of the neural network are also optimized using genetic algorithm, and the feature vectors calculated at different scales are assigned to the network for training and verification. The results show that the multiscale features of delamination damage are more accurate and stable for the model. The mean value and the mean square deviation of mean absolute percentage error proposed in this study is 13.35 % and 4.35 %, respectively, indicating that the overall performance is better than using single scale features and traditional signal decomposition methods. Background: To compare the late outcomes between mechanical and bioprostheses after isolated mitral valve replacement (MVR) in dialysis-dependent patients. Methods: A nationwide propensity-matched retrospective cohort study was conducted involving dialysis patients who underwent primary mitral replacement between 2001 and 2018. Ten-year postoperative outcomes were compared between mitral bioprosthesis and mechanical prosthesis using the Cox proportional hazard model and restricted mean survival time (RMST). Results: The all-cause mortality was 20.8 and 13.0 events per 100 person-years, with a 10-year RMST of 7.40 and 7.31 years for bioprosthesis and mechanical prosthesis, respectively. Major bleeding was the most common adverse event for both bioprosthesis and mechanical prosthesis, with an incidence rate of 19.5 and 19.1 events per 100 person-years, respectively. The incidence of valve reoperation was higher among those who received bioprosthesis (0.55 events per 100 person-years). After 1:1 matching, the all-cause mortality was 15.45 and 14.54 events per 100 person-years for bioprosthesis and mechanical prosthesis, respectively. The RMST at 10 years was comparable between the two groups after matching (5.10 years for bioprosthesis vs. 4.59 years for mechanical prosthesis), with an RMST difference of - 0.03. Further, no difference was observed in the incidence of major adverse valve-related events between bioprosthesis and mechanical valves. However, bioprosthesis was associated with a higher incidence of mitral valve reoperation among all major adverse events (RMST difference - 0.24 years, 95% CI - 0.48 to - 0.01, P = 0.047). Conclusions: This study found no association between valve selection and long-term survival outcomes in dialysis patients after MVR. However, bioprosthetic valves may be associated with a slightly higher incidence of reoperation, while other valve-related adverse events, including major bleeding and stroke, were comparable between the two types of prostheses. Background: Improved durability of modern biologic prostheses and growing experience with the transcatheter valve-in-valve technique have contributed to a substantial increase in the use of bioprostheses in younger patients. However, discussion of prosthetic valve selection in dialysis patients remains scarce as the guidelines are updated. This study aims to compare long-term outcomes between propensity score-matched cohorts of dialysis patients who underwent primary aortic valve replacement with a mechanical prosthesis or a bioprosthesis. Materials and Methods: Longitudinal data of dialysis patients who underwent primary aortic valve replacement between 1 January 2001 and 31 December 2018, were retrieved from the National Health Insurance Research Database. Results: A total of 891 eligible patients were identified, of whom 243 ideally matched pairs of patients were analyzed. There was no significant difference in all-cause mortality (hazard ratio 1.11, 95% CI: 0.88-1.40) or the incidence of major adverse prosthesisrelated events between the two groups (hazard ratio 1.03, 95% CI: 0.84-1.25). In patients younger than 50 years of age, using a mechanical prosthesis was associated with a significantly longer survival time across 10 years of follow-up than using a bioprosthesis (restricted mean survival time) at 10 years: 7.24 (95% CI: 6.33-8.14) years for mechanical prosthesis versus 5.25 (95% CI: 4.25-6.25) years for bioprosthesis, restricted mean survival time difference 1.99 years, 95% CI: -3.34 to -0.64). Conclusion: A 2-year survival gain in favor of mechanical prostheses was identified in dialysis patients younger than 50 years. Aim: The aim was to compare short-term and long-term oncological outcomes between minimally invasive surgery (MIS group) and laparotomy (lap group) in nonmetastatic pT4a colorectal cancer (CRC). Materials and methods: The study retrospectively analyzed the outcomes of 634 patients treated with radical operation from January 2015 to December 2021 for nonmetastatic pT4a CRC, with propensity score matching. Results: The conversion rate from the MIS group to laparotomy is 3.5%. Intraoperative blood loss, time to first anal exhaust, defecation and drainage tube removal, and complication rate were significantly less in the MIS group. After 5 years, the outcomes of the MIS group were no inferior to laparotomy outcomes [overall survival (OS): 72.7 vs. 77.8%, P=0.285; disease-free survival (DFS): 72.2 vs. 75.0%, P= 0.599]. And multivariate analysis showed that age greater than or equal to 60 years old, lymph node metastasis and the carcinoembryonic antigen levels were independent variables for OS, while lymph node metastasis and CA125 levels were independent variables for DFS. The results of the graph show the relationship between the sum of scores of sex, age, complications, BMI, carcinoembryonic antigen, age, CA125, tumor site, N stage and tumor length diameter and 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year mortality and DFS of patients. Among them, tumor length diameter and N stage are significantly correlated with long-term survival and disease-free of patients. Background: The COVID-19 outbreak presents challenges to the emergency care system. Advanced age is a risk factor formortality. This study aimed to investigate whether the shock index (SI) is an early pre- dictor of adverse outcomes in geriatric patients with COVID-19. Methods: Patients aged ≤ 60 yearswith COVID-19 betweenMay 1, 2021, and February 1, 2022,were in- cluded in a retrospective cohort study. These patients were divided into two groups based on ICU ad- mission. Variables were compared for the two groups. The receiver operating characteristic analysis of the SI and age--SI (ASI) was used to detect deteriorating outcomes early. Results: In total, 156 patients were included, and the mean age was 68.52 ± 7.25 years. ICU admission, intubation, andmortality were recorded in 46 (29.49%), 32 (20.51%), and 16 (10.26%) patients, respec- tively. Themean body weight, pulse rate, respiratory rate, pulse oximetry, SI, and ASI were significantly different between the two groups (p = 0.018, 0.032, 0.007, < 0.001, 0.004, and 0.007, respectively). CRP, LDH, ALT, ferritin, D-dimer, and sodiumlevels were significantly associated with ICU admission. Regard- ing ICU admission, intubation, and mortality, the areas under the curve (AUC) of the SI and ASI showed acceptable discrimination. The predictive power of the ASI was significantly higher than that of the SI for mortality (AUC difference, 0.088 ± 0.036 (95% CI 0.017--0.160); p = 0.016). Conclusion: The ASI is a useful triage tool for mortality prediction in geriatric patients with COVID-19. Purpose: To compare the plaque-removal efficacy of ultra-soft singleheaded, triple-headed, and T-shaped toothbrushes and the subjective perceptions of users. Methods: In this randomized, single-blind, crossover study, 30 healthy adult participants were randomly divided into three groups of 10, who tested the three types of toothbrushes in differing order, with a 1-week washout period between the tests. Dental plaque scores were recorded before and after toothbrushing, and questionnaires on subjective perceptions after toothbrushing were collected. Results: The participants included 16 female participants and 14 male participants (average age: 29.4 ± 6.7 years). All three toothbrush types were effective in reducing dental plaque by 36-46%; however, the cleaning effect of the ultra-soft single-headed toothbrush was inferior to that of the triple-headed and T-shaped toothbrushes, the difference being statistically significant. The users’ subjective perceptions suggested that the ultrasoft single-headed toothbrush was significantly superior to the other two toothbrush types. Plaque scores for the lower posterior tooth surfaces were higher than those for the upper posterior tooth surfaces, particularly on the left side, for both the ultra-soft single-headed and T-shaped toothbrushes. Purpose: Cxbladder tests are urinary biomarker tests for detection of urothelial carcinoma. We developed enhanced Cxbladder tests that incorporate DNA analysis of 6 single nucleotide polymorphisms for the FGFR3 and TERT genes, in addition to the current 5 mRNA biomarkers and clinical risk factors. Materials and Methods: Two multicenter, prospective studies were undertaken in: (1) U.S. patients with gross hematuria aged ≥18 years and (2) Singaporean patients with gross hematuria or microhematuria aged >21 years. All patients provided a midstream urine sample and underwent cystoscopy. Samples were retrospectively analyzed using enhanced Cxbladder-Triage (risk stratifies patients), enhanced Cxbladder-Detect (risk stratifies patients and detects positive patients), and the combination enhanced Cxbladder-Triage Cxbladder-Detect. Results: In the pooled cohort (N=804; gross hematuria: n=484, microhematuria: n=320), enhanced Cxbladder-Detect had a sensitivity of 97% (95% CI 89%-100%), specificity of 90% (95% CI 88%-92%), and negative predictive value of 99.7% (95% CI 99%-100%) for detection of urothelial carcinoma. Overall, 83% of patients were enhanced Cxbladder-Detectenegative (ie, needed no further work-up). Of 133 enhanced Cxbladder-Detectepositive patients, 59 had a confirmed tumor, of which 19 were low-grade noninvasive papillary carcinoma or papillary urothelial neoplasm of low malignant potential. In total, 40 tumors were high-grade Ta, T1- T4, Tis, including concomitant carcinoma in situ. Of the 74 patients with normal cystoscopy, 41 were positive by single nucleotide polymorphism analysis Enhanced Cxbladder-Triage and enhanced Cxbladder-Detect had significantly better specificity than the firstgeneration Cxbladder tests (P < .001). Background: This study compared the efficacy of two statin treatments (simvastatin vs rosuvastatin) in achieving the combined goal of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) <2.6 mmol/L and non–high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non–HDL-C) <3.4 mmol/L in patients with type 2 diabetes and dyslipidemia. Methods: After a 5-week run-in, 89 patients with type 2 diabetes having fasting triglyceride (TG) levels of 1.7 to 5.7 mmol/L or non–HDL-C levels of 3.4 to 5.2 mmol/L were randomized to receive simvastatin 20mg daily for 4 weeks followed by 40mg for 8 weeks or rosuvastatin 10mg for 4 weeks followed by 20mg for 8 weeks. The primary end-point was the percentage of patients achieving the combined goal at week 12. Results: Although significant between-group differences were observed in changes in LDL-C and non–HDL-C levels, both study treatments were sufficiently intensive for a 40% to 55% LDL-C reduction. At the end of the study, the two groups had similar percentages of patients who achieved the combined lipid goal (84% vs 89%, p = 0.66). All patients who attained the combined lipid goal also met the apolipoprotein B (Apo-B) target of <0.9g/L. No between-group differences were noted in changes in HDL-C and TG levels at week 12. The patients tolerated both treatments well. Conclusion: In our study, ≈85% of patients with type 2 diabetes and dyslipidemia could achieve the combined lipid goal with statin monotherapy. With the rapid development of economy and society, the traditional financial services can not support the increasingly large and complex economic system. As a brand-new format, financial technology can help the financial industry to restructure and upgrade. At the same time, as an international consensus, green development is the only way for China to achieve sustainable development. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to study the impact of finance on the regional development of green finance. Based on the essence of green finance development, fuzzy principal component analysis is used to build the green finance evaluation index system in this paper. Taking the data of three provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Delta from 2015 to 2019 as an example, QAP analysis is used to study the impact of financial technology on the regional development of green finance. Research shows that explanatory variables are highly significant, that is, financial technology has a significant role in promoting green finance. Finally, based on the research conclusions, this paper puts forward suggestions on how green technology can better promote the development of green finance from three aspects of top-level design, technical research and supervision. At present, the mechanism for clopidogrel resistance (CR) is incompletely understood. Here, we aimed to analyze of the association of plasma concentration of clopidogrel active metabolites (CAM) and CYP2C19 genetic polymorphism with CR. We assigned 77 patients to receive CLP at a loading dose of 300mg on day 1, followed by 75mg per day from day 2 to day 6. Three peripheral venous blood samples were collected for analysis. Our results showed that plasma concentration of CAM in extensive metabolizers (EMs) group (2.48(1.31, 5.67) ng/mL) was higher than that in intermediate metabolizers (IMs) group (1.44(1.18,3.55) ng/mL) and that in poor metabolizers (PMs) (1.18(1.12,1.33) ng/mL) group was the lowest (H=14.58, P=0.001). Besides, the incidence of CR in EMs group(11.1%) was lower than that in IMs group (20.0%) and that in IMs group was lower than that in PMs group (45.5%) (X2=6.344, P=0.042). In addition, our findings confirmed that the incidence of chest tightness in IMs group (40.0%) and PMs group (50.0%) was higher than that in EMs group (9.1%) (P=0.015). Over the follow-up period, it was found that CYP2C19 and plasma concentration of CAM were related to the incidence of chest tightness. Background: Transgender individuals often require gender-affirming interventions, such as endogenous sex hormone inhibition or gender-affirming hormone therapy (HT), while there is discordance between their body and gender identity. However, a recent study found that the incidence of cardiovascular events is higher in transgender patients receiving cross-sex HT. The aim of this study was to investigate the metabolic effects of an altered sex hormone profile. Methods: This retrospective study, conducted in a referral center in Northern Taiwan, analyzed metabolic changes over time in 65 trans masculine and 45 trans feminine persons. The transgender individuals were examined at 4 time points: before the gender affirming HT, as well as 3, 6, and 12 months following treatment. Results: Compared with baseline measurements, the trans masculine patients showed significant increases in body mass index (BMI) (22.6 ± 0.3 vs 23.3 ± 0.4 kg/m2; p < 0.001; t = 3M), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (124.3 ± 3.7 vs 131.3 ± 3.9 mg/dL; p = 0.03; t = 12M), creatinine (0.75 ± 0.01 vs 0.83 ± 0.14 mg/dL; p < 0.001; t = 12M), and hemoglobin (13.5 ± 0.7 vs 15.2 ± 0.2 g/dL; p < 0.001; t = 12M), as well as decreased high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (57 ± 2.1 vs 51 ± 2.0 mg/dL; p < 0.001; t = 12M). The trans feminine patients had reduced low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (104.2 ± 3.2 vs 100.8 ± 3.5 mg/dL; p = 0.05; t = 3M), hemoglobin (14.0 ± 0.1 vs 13.5 ± 0.1 g/dL; p = 0.008; t = 12M), and creatinine (0.82 ± 0.01 vs 0.79 ± 0.14 mg/dL; p < 0.001; t = 3M) compared with baseline data. In addition, most of these metabolic effects persisted during the follow-up period. In as early as 1997, the World Health Organization officially recognized obesity as a chronic disease. The current epidemic of obesity and overweightness has aroused great interest in the study of adipose tissue formation. The transcription factor peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) binds to the target gene promoter regulatory sequences, acting as a key factor in regulating the differentiation of preadipocytes in the adipose tissue, and plays an important role in regulating the adipocyte metabolism. A further understanding of the structure and expression characteristics of PPARγ, in addition to its mechanisms of action in adipocyte differentiation, may be applied to control obesity and prevent obesity-related diseases. In this article, recent studies investigating the effect of regulating PPARγ on adipocyte differentiation are reviewed. In order to improve the allocation efficiency of knowledge resources in industrial technological innovation, the theory design of utility, niche and knowledge management is integrated. Based on the coordination model of industrial technological innovation based on the ecological evolution of knowledge transfer, the knowledge input of members under Nash equilibrium and Pareto equilibrium is analyzed by combining qualitative and numerical examples, and the generation of stock knowledge, incremental knowledge and alliance knowledge is revealed, evolution mechanism of state relations. To explore the clinicopathological features of solid pseudopapillary neoplasm (SPN) of pancreas and to analyze the related factors of SPNs with aggressive behavior. Clinical data of SPN patients admitted in the Single Center of Peking University Cancer Hospital from January 2007 to September 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. The correlations of clinicopathological features with aggressive SPNs and distant metastasis after curative resection were analyzed using univariate analysis. Twelve of the total 54 SPN patients were diagnosed as aggressive SPNs. Univariate analysis suggested clinical features had no correlations with aggressive SPNs. Patients were followed up for an average of 5.0 years, four of them developed distant metastases. Univariate analysis indicated that distant metastasis of SPNs was correlated with the aggressive behaviors (P=0.031). Moreover, vessels invasion (VI) and Ki-67>4% (P=0.012) were the independent risk factors of distant metastasis of SPNs. Bezoars are mass found trapped in the gastrointestinal system and they can be diagnosed by computed tomography or endoscopic examination. Administration by dissolutions, removal by endoscopic devices, laparotomy, and laparoscopic surgery can be options for treatment. We present a case of a 60-year-old man, who had past history of right hemicolectomy of ascending colon cancer, with duodenal obstruction by a phytobezoar. During endoscopic treatment, the bezoar migrated from the duodenum to deep small intestine and made the small bowel obstruction in ileum. It didn't be dissolved by Coca-Cola®. Finally, it is removed by laparoscopic enterolysis. And he was discharged without abdominal discomfort. Surgical intervention including larparotomy or larparoscopy should be undertaken for cases with ileus or refractory bezoars. However, mostly of the bezoars should be solved by the administration of dissolutions or endoscopic treatment when the bezoars are diagnosed. Small bowel obstruction secondary to migration of a bezoar during endoscopic procedure is rare and non-surgical intervention such as balloon-assisted enteroscopy could be undertaken for salvage. This study draws upon Guiguzi, China's earliest treatise specifically on rhetoric, to highlight yin-yang as the philosophical foundation of Chinese rhetorical theory. It examines organic connections between yin-yang and the Dao in light of the quality and characteristics of the sage of rhetoric. Using the example of a legendary persuader, Chu Long, in Zhan Guo Ce, a historiography of warfare and strategies during the pre-Qin Warring States period, it unfolds Guiguzi's teaching of upholding the Dao through yin-yang in the development of the sage of rhetoric, who is the true human being or the One in unity with Heaven and Earth and able to develop the "omniscient intellectual conscience," the highest level of judicious intellect, wisdom, and morality. The study points to the potential and implications of studying yin-yang as an integral component of Chinese rhetorical theory in expanding intellectual inquiries of indigenous scholarship in communication. Lithium metal anode has showed the great potential for the next generation batteries because of its impressive advantages (high specific capacity and low potential) against graphite. However, the growth of dendrite has been one of the major challenges for practice implementation, which leads to low Coulombic efficiency and safety concerns. In the development of stable Li metal anode, the current collector is recognized as a critical component to regulate Li plating. Here, one simple and cost-effective strategy for stabilizing the Li anode is reported with themetal foam as the current collector. Due to the plentiful interspaces and robust framework, metal foam exhibits perfect accommodation of deposited Li and contributes to Li cycling (stripping and plating processes) without accumulation on the surface. On this basis, a high capacity density of 5 mAh cm-1 is realized with the effective dendrite suppression. Landscape preference is a result of multi-sensory input. However, the effect of interactions between multi-sensors on it is rarely involved in previous works, especially in olfactory effect on landscape preference. This research project selected three odors (flower of Osmanthus fragrans (FO), flower of Lilium longiflorum (FL), and sediment on riverbed (SR)) and ten photographs to explore the effect of odor-photograph combinations on landscape preference. The evaluation by undergraduate students demonstrates that, generally speaking, above three odors can increase landscape preference, separately visual beauty or separately olfactory preference keeps a weak influence on olfactory effect on landscape preference. Results of regression analysis suggest that, in a landscape, decreasing "open space" can increase the FO's and FL's effect on landscape preference significantly, while increasing "percentage of area covered by grass" and decreasing "water amount" can enhance the olfactory effect of SR. Social commerce (s-commerce) has grown rapidly across the world and has become one of the most important issues in academic studies. This study employs social cognitive theory to provide a social interaction perspective for understanding the interactions among beliefs towards electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) (person cognition), trusted environment (environment), and consumer purchasing intention (behaviour) in the context of s-commerce. For providing a detailed understanding of the proposed model, an online-based questionnaire was used to collect cross-sectional data from s-commerce consumers in Taiwan. Research data were examined with the component-based partial least squares structural equation modelling approach (PLS-SEM). All research hypotheses are accepted. This study makes a research contribution by providing additional insights into how trusted social environment may be utilised to leverage eWOM adoption to influence consumers' purchasing intentions. Bis(diimino)nickel (NiDI) nanosheet is prepared by two methods of oxidation-promoted interfacial coordination reactions of nickel(II) ions with hexaaminobenzene. The thickness of the large chemically formed NiDI nanosheet can be controlled from atomic layers to thousands of layers. The morphology of electrochemically formed NiDI-modified electrode achievable within a minute suggests longitudinal growth of nanosheets at the surface. A π-conjugated coordination nanosheet (CONASH) comprising bis(iminothiolato)nickel moieties, NiIT, was synthesized by a reaction of Ni2+ with 1,3,5-triaminobenzene-2,4,6-trithiol (L) in the presence of ferrocenium ions. A bulk material, bulk-NiIT, prepared in a homogeneous solution was characterized by XPS, IR, and SEM. A liquidliquid interfacial reaction using bis(2,4-pentanedionato)nickel(II) in CH2Cl2 and L in H2O afforded a semiconducting nanosheet, nano-NiIT. AFM, SEM, and TEM observation of nano-NiIT revealed the uniform and flat nature of a stacked layer nanosheet. Selected-area electron diffraction (SAED) analysis indicated the formation of a twodimensional hexagonal crystal structure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
