Effective feedback on cytology performance relies on navigating complex laboratory information system data, which is prone to errors and lacks flexibility. As a comprehensive solution, we used the Python programming language to create a dashboard application for screening and diagnostic quality metrics. Data from the 5-year period (2018-2022) were accessed. Versatile open-source Python libraries (user developed program code packages) were used from the first step of LIS data cleaning through the creation of the application. To evaluate performance, we selected 3 gynecologic metrics: the ASC/LSIL ratio, the ASC-US/ASC-H ratio, and the proportion of cytologic abnormalities in comparison to the total number of cases (abnormal rate). We also evaluated the referral rate of cytologists/cytotechnologists (CTs) and the ratio of thyroid AUS interpretations by cytopathologists (CPs). These were formed into colored graphs that showcase individual results in established, color-coded laboratory "goal," "borderline," and "attention" zones based on published reference benchmarks. A representation of the results distribution for the entire laboratory was also developed. We successfully created a web-based test application that presents interactive dashboards with different interfaces for the CT, CP, and laboratory management (https://drkvcsstvn-dashboards.hf.space/app). The user can choose to view the desired quality metric, year, and the anonymized CT or CP, with an additional automatically generated written report of results. In this study, we sought to establish and evaluate an automated workflow to prospectively capture and correlate knee MRI findings with surgical findings in a large medical center. This retrospective analysis included data from patients who had undergone knee MRI followed by arthroscopic knee surgery within 6 months during a 2-year period (2019-2020). Discrete data were automatically extracted from a structured knee MRI report template implementing pick lists. Operative findings were recorded discretely by surgeons using a custom-built web-based telephone application. MRI findings were classified as true-positive, true-negative, false-positive, or false-negative for medial meniscus (MM), lateral meniscus (LM), and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears, with arthroscopy used as the reference standard. An automated dashboard displaying up-to-date concordance and individual and group accuracy was enabled for each radiologist. Manual correlation between MRI and operative reports was performed on a random sample of 10% of cases for comparison with automatically derived values. Data from 3,187 patients (1,669 male; mean age, 47 years) were analyzed. Automatic correlation was available for 60% of cases, with an overall MRI diagnostic accuracy of 93% (MM, 92%; LM, 89%; ACL, 98%). In cases reviewed manually, the number of cases that could be correlated with surgery was higher (84%). Concordance between automated and manual review was 99% when both were available (MM, 98%; LM, 100%; ACL, 99%). Information dashboards consolidate large amounts of data into a single visual display, providing instant insights to decision-makers. However, their development is challenging due to limited study on a unified methodology for designing effective dashboards. This preliminary study, using the narrative review method, explores the existence of commonalities in principles, best practices, and challenges in designing information dashboards across diverse domains. The result confirms the existence of commonalities and paves the way for future research to develop a standardized methodology for designing effective information dashboards universally across different domains. Library is a place that contains various resources and materials. Many invaluable knowledge can be found in the library. By analysing the library’s data, it is possible to obtain information that can further improve its services. This research aims to extract information from Multimedia University (MMU) library and present insightful visualization of the information to enhance the library administration. At present, the library does not have information on the book preferences of the library users. The book preferences statistics can be relatively helpful as the library will know what books can be imported in the future. By doing so, more people will visit the library and they will have more related books to use as reference or to read. In addition, there are no existing dashboards to display information on all borrowers, no visitor. In the absence of this, this research adopts the data science methodology to determine the book preferences of library users by using machine learning techniques such as clustering and classification. Academic Departments of Medicine have several challenges in managing resources, meeting academic goals and clinical demands. In this paper, we describe a management control system installed in 2014: the Strategic Plan, a Balanced Scorecard reflecting clinical research and educational performance, Annual feedback and review by Departmental and Divisional Chairs, and Improvement Plans. This system over 8 years resulted in a reduction in 30-day re-admissions of 14%, a decline in length of stay of 0.55 days, and reduced absolute in-hospital mortality of nearly 2%. Clinical revenue increased 42% from 2016 to 2022 largely due to increased ambulatory and procedural volumes. Teaching time and ratings were unaffected by the installation of this system. Return on investment for newly hired researchers and scientists was 67.5% with a 12.7% increase in peer-reviewed funding. We conclude that the Decision Management Control System was feasible to create and allowed capable monitoring of performance and informed decision-making. The advancement of web-based technologies makes it possible to build user interfaces or web pages that present and summarize complex data in easy-to-read graphical formats that emphasize key information. Taking advantage of this technologic progress, we addressed the need for real-time visualizations of trends for major pathogens in the largest livestock industries in Ontario: poultry, swine, and cattle. These visualizations were built using test data from the laboratory information management system of the Animal Health Laboratory at the University of Guelph, a large veterinary diagnostic laboratory in Ontario. The data were processed using R software and used to construct interactive and dynamic visualizations using Tableau Desktop v.2021.4 (Tableau Software). We designed 12 dashboards: in chickens—influenza A virus, fowl adenovirus, infectious bronchitis virus, and infectious laryngotracheitis virus; in turkeys—influenza A virus; in swine, influenza A virus, rotavirus, and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus; in cattle—bovine viral diarrhea virus, Mycoplasma bovis, Salmonella Dublin in individual samples, and Salmonella Dublin in bulk tank milk samples. Data for each pathogen are presented in 2 dashboards. One shows the data of the last 10 y (general view) and the other the data of the last 3 y, but in more detail (comprehensive view). The visualizations provide near-real-time access to aggregated assay results for selected pathogens for veterinarians, animal health regulatory agencies, researchers, and other users who are interested in livestock pathogen surveillance. Credit card use is becoming more and more commonplace every day. Financial organizations and credit card customers lose a lot of money because of complicated illegal transactions. Fraudsters constantly stay on top of new technology to quickly perpetrate fraud against customer transaction patterns. We analyze credit card transaction networks and identify suspicious patterns, such as transactions connected to multiple accounts or unusual transaction patterns, transactions made at unusual times, and to monitor credit card transactions in real-time and quickly identify suspicious transactions. TigerGraph is used to analyze data, display results on a dashboard, and send notifications via email. One meth'\ Vc 1''13-od commonly used in anomaly detection is to compare data values against the standard deviation. In this research, we explain the use of TigerGraph as a platform for anomaly detection above the standard deviation, as well as the use of the Louvain algorithm in finding merchant communities used by fraudsters. The data used in this study comes from Sparkov simulation data obtained from Kaggle. Our results show that by using TigerGraph, we managed to achieve a very high accuracy rate of 99.77%, precision 82.84%, recall 72.38%, and f1-score 77,26% in predicting transaction fraud on Sparkov simulation data. This is much better than the results reported in a paper that uses the supervised machine learning method with the AdaBoost algorithm which achieves the highest accuracy of 77%. Despite widespread interest in creating a more equitable and inclusive culture, a lack of workforce diversity persists in Radiology, in part due to a lack of universal and longitudinal metrics across institutions. In an attempt to establish benchmarks, a subset of the Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments (SCARD) Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee volunteered to design a DEI dashboard as a potential tool for academic radiology programs to use to document and track their progress. This freely-available, modular dashboard includes suggested (plus optional department-defined) DEI activities/parameters and suggested assessment criteria across three domains: faculty, residents & fellows, and medical students; it can be completed, in whole or in part, by departmental leaders annually. The suggested metrics and their associated rubrics were derived from the collective experiences of the five working group members, all of whom are chairs of academic radiology departments. The measures taken during the COVID-19 pandemic have strengthened Work from Home and the use of digital communication technologies and digital collaboration. The resulting flexibility in terms of control over time and place of work can support workers in improving their work-life balance. In this paper, we investigate whether workers using digital communication technologies made use of this flexibility and changed the distribution of their work hours across the week and day. To answer this question, we investigate the use of an Enterprise Collaboration System in 2019-2022. Using real-world data, a MS Power BI dashboard was created following the steps suggested by the Social Collaboration Analytics Framework (SCAF). The dashboard shows that the system use increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, an expansion of work on weekends and outside of regular working hours can be observed. Although, timely adjustments of use-patterns were highest in the beginning of the pandemic, long-term trends could be observed as well. The results indicate that knowledge workers used digital collaboration technologies to restructure working days, according to their specific personal and business needs while working from home. Quality management is integral to the practice of cytopathology, especially given the heavily manual workflows and expanding ancillary testing requirements inherent to the cytopathology laboratory. Monitoring quality data like turnaround time, specimen unsatisfactory rates, and diagnostic category utilization rates allows for better understanding of performance with opportunities for targeted improvement if there are variations from that which is expected. However, there are costs to quality monitoring including the time and resources needed, and, in already taxed systems, quality management risks being viewed as just another box to check. While there are mandated quality metrics that must be collected by cytology laboratories, thoughtful selection of key performance indicators can be of tremendous benefit in helping to better understand complex laboratory processes and directing improvement endeavors where needed. The following short communication is a discussion on quality management in the cytopathology laboratory from 3 Cytopathology Quality Management Directors. When actions and measures to increase road safety are to be planned by the police and local authorities, it is necessary to consider the specific accident circumstances as well as their historical, current, and predicted course. In particular, combinations of accident circumstances not contained in existing police statistics are often neglected, but may nevertheless be relevant, e. g., due to an increasing frequency. In order to identify these undiscovered interesting combinations, we propose a framework to support strategic planning of road safety measures based on several consecutive data mining stages. The scope, type, and location of road safety measures must be planned at a strategic level several months in advance to be fully effective. Therefore, it is essential to investigate and predict the accident circumstances and the temporal changes in their frequency comprehensively. Only with the knowledge, e. g., about the temporal pattern, locations, conditions of roads or speeds, meaningful actions can be derived. The embedded data mining approaches, i. e., frequent itemset mining, time series clustering, time series classification, forecasting, and scoring, are carefully selected, coordinated, and aligned. As a result, the framework provides police users with information about circumstances of accidents that are of interest in the future and presents their previous temporal and local patterns in a dashboard. In this study, the framework is applied in four different geographical regions. Interventions based on learning analytics have a very important place in closing the learning analytics loop. However, data-driven studies that test the effects of learning analytics-based interventions on students' online learning behaviors are very limited. In this study, the effect of the student-facing learning analytics dashboard (LAD) on the learning behavior of students in the online learning environment was investigated by using the differential pattern mining method. In a completely remote course, the learning behaviors of the participants before the introduction of the dashboard were compared with the learning behaviors they exhibited after the dashboard was introduced. In this way, it has become possible to analyze the behavior changes after the dashboard intervention. Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to test whether these behavioral changes were statistically significant or not. According to the Wilcoxon signed-rank test results, while there is no significant difference in terms of students' assignment and quiz interactions, it is seen that there is a statistically significant increase in terms of students' forum-related activities such as reading other students' posts, starting a new discussion, and replying others' posts. Students' SCORM interactions (e.g, launch, complete) were also increased after engaging with the LAD. The competencies standards for the occupational information are expressed by classification of identifies and categorizes skills, competencies, qualifications, and occupations relevant for labor market and education. Based on the knowledge, skills, competencies factor's relationship analysis the metadata profile can be generated. However, there is a problem with visualization of an occupational competence or set of competence related to occupational information. In the paper, some useful dashboard's concept for occupational competence visualization is presented. The proposed dashboard is driven, visualization intensive, interactive, and directly supports data exploration, reporting, and decision making. The Department of Defense (DoD) is investigating the use of autonomous systems for Armed Forces protection. The Army has specifically focused on testing autonomous vehicles for resupply and reconnaissance efforts. In the ever-increasing world of big data, each test of these autonomous systems produces terabytes of data collected while in operation. For test conductors and evaluators, the ability to digest this data quickly is of paramount importance. With the large amount of testing data being collected, this manual, labor-intensive process of meaningful discovery succeeds only with precise queries, and it suffers in timeliness, broadness, and lack of scalability. As the size of the data increases, this problem will only get worse highlighting the need for information visualization capability in conjunction with a big data architecture capable of performing large-scale analytics. In this paper, we discuss our development of a visual analytics workbench using open-source tools developed with the analyst in mind. Today, lots of personalization can be done in applications or even websites. It is possible to change the look and feel, to group often used functionalities or to filter relevant information. To get the same behavior for security monitoring in large scaled enterprise companies, one aspect of the research project IUNO-iSOC is to develop a dashboard system where every user can create his own custom overview of all needed information. A second part IUNO-iSOC aims to handle the information overload a security analyst is faced by analyzing alerts of different types of security management systems. This paper adresses the mentioned problem and describes the way from collecting security data from different sources to the concept of supporting the users creating their own view to the data currently needed as well as dealing with lots of incoming security alerts. Laboratory tests provide essential support to the veterinary practitioner, and their use has grown exponentially. This growth is the result of several factors, such as the eradication of historical diseases, the occurrence of multifactorial diseases, and the obligation to control endemic and epidemic diseases. However, the introduction of novel techniques is counterbalanced by economic constraints, and the establishment of evidence- and consensus-based guidelines is essential to support the pathologist. Therefore, we developed standardized protocols, categorized by species, type of production, age, and syndrome at the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe), a multicenter institution for animal health and food safety. We have 72 protocols in use for livestock, poultry, and pets, categorized as, for example, "bovine enteric calf", "rabbit respiratory", "broiler articular". Each protocol consists of a panel of tests, divided into 'mandatory' and 'ancillary', to be selected by the pathologist in order to reach the final diagnosis. After autopsy, the case is categorized into a specific syndrome, subsequently referred to as a syndrome-specific panel of analyses. The activity of the laboratories is monitored through a web-based dynamic reporting system developed using a business intelligence product (QlikView) connected to the laboratory information management system (IZILAB). On a daily basis, reports become available at general, laboratory, and case levels, and are updated as needed. The reporting system highlights epidemiologic variations in the field and allows verification of compliance with the protocols within the organization. The surgical morbidity and mortality (M&M) conferences at a regional children's hospital achieved the goals of case by case peer review and education for trainees but provided limited data for trending and analysis. In 2019, an institution-wide effort was initiated to create an electronic case review system with the goals of improving event capture and real-time practice performance feedback. Surgical M&M was migrated to this structured case review format to provide a platform for surgical performance improvement. An online secure database was created with a 3-step classification system based on Clavien-Dindo severity score, peer review, and causality fishbone analysis. The data entered were available in an interactive dashboard. Retrospective tabulation of the 2018 M&M data was performed using the archived paper system used prior to 2019. For the calendar year of 2019, the division of pediatric surgery captured and categorized 193 complications in the case review system. The capture rate was 50 per 1000 surgical procedures. For a similar time frame in 2018, the capture rate was 35 per 1000 surgical procedures. The dashboard provided run charts of the incidence and types of complications by procedure and by surgeon. Similar trend data were not available in 2018. The dashboard output has made possible the creation of (non- risk adjusted) individual surgeon performance reports. The output has been used to direct process improvement projects and educational content. Creation of an online database with interactive dashboard has allowed surgical M&M to evolve into a systematic case review that greatly facilitates quality improvement efforts. This system increased the event capture rate and provided novel practice performance feedback, resulting in process improvement projects and educational objectives predicated on the trending data. Universities are dealing with a huge volume of data, but they use them less than expected levels. The aim of the current study was to use visual information for supporting the decision-making process. In this cross-sectional study, 30 academic managers were recruited at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. A structured interview was prepared for collecting data based on the related literature. The instrument was approved in terms of validity and reliability (a=98%). SPSS 21 was used for analyzing data. Then, a list of 85 Key Performance Indicators (KPI) was organized for designing the digital dashboard. A three-layer architecture was selected as the architectural pattern, and the conceptual model of the system was developed by applying the UML. Finally, the Qlikview was utilized to design the dashboard for the visualization of information. Twelve main features, including 85 KPIs, were determined for designing dashboards. User interface items were visualized using the most important features and KPIs. By applying a designed dashboard, academic managers can identify trends, strengths, and weaknesses. Global spread of Zika virus in 2015 and 2016 highlighted the importance of surveillance to rapidly detect, report, and respond to emerging infections. We describe the lessons learned from the development and deployment of a web-based surveillance reporting system for Zika virus and other acute febrile illnesses (AFI) in Guangdong and Yunnan provinces, China. In less than 2 months, we customized the China Epidemiologic Dynamic Data Collection (EDDC) platform to collect, manage, and visualize data in close to real time. According to provincial and sentinel hospital staff requirements, the customized platform provided specific user authorization management, online/offline data collection, data quality control, and secure data transmission and protection and visualization tools. AFI case data and laboratory test results were entered through a web-based interface by hospital and provincial-level staff and saved on a China CDC server in Beijing. The dashboard visualized aggregate data by hospital, age, onset date, and laboratory test results. From June 2017 to December 2018, data from 768 patients with AFI were entered into the web-based surveillance system and visualized by hospital and provincial-level decision makers. Input from provincial and hospital staff was essential for developing the AFI case-reporting and feedback tools appropriate for specific settings and decision-making requirements. Web-based systems (eg, EDDC, data collection, and visualization tools that can be easily adapted to meet local surveillance needs) can help shorten time for system deployment, thereby strengthening global health security to rapidly detect and respond to emerging infections and outbreaks. Current project management practices recognize at least six competing constraints that need to be balanced and prioritized in order to maximize the probability of achieving project success. However, the market tends to measure the success through limited metric(s), which mainly focuses in the time performance. This study established a performance metric, which takes into consideration project financials, risks and issues in addition to time which is a step toward shifting the focus to other success criteria. The validity and sanity of the overall formula was checked by a series of steps. The validation was conducted by a parametric study, which included trend checks, checking the extreme values, normalizations, and finally to an expert focus group to improve, validate, and the index. The formula was then applied to ongoing projects data, which showed reliable results. The developed project performance index can be widely used in overseeing portfolios' overall status or comparing performance between different functional units. Communication of their process for continuous quality improvement and ability to produce competent nurse graduates are common program goals. Purpose: This article describes the implementation of a nursing dashboard as an innovative approach to examine and communicate program outcomes. Methods: A comprehensive evaluation document in the form of a dashboard was created in a user-friendly format to monitor and convey outcomes to stakeholders. This visual evaluation document was crafted in congruence with a utilization-oriented evaluation model incorporating accreditation standards. Results: Stakeholders, including alumni, faculty, and students, conveyed satisfaction with the dashboard graphic of program evaluation data. Participant responses were greater than 4.3/5.0 on a Likert scale, indicating satisfaction with the dashboard communication of outcomes. Background As an emergency department (ED) is a complex adaptive system, the analysis of continuously gathered data is valuable to gain insight in the real-time patient flow. To support the analysis and management of ED operations, relevant data should be provided in an intuitive way. Aim Within this context, this paper outlines the development of a dashboard which provides real-time information regarding ED crowding. Methods The research project underlying this paper follows the principles of design science research, which involves the development and study of artifacts which aim to solve a generic problem. To determine the crowding indicators that are desired in the dashboard, a modified Delphi study is used. The dashboard is implemented using the open source Shinydashboard package in R. Results A dashboard is developed containing the desired crowding indicators, together with general patient flow characteristics. It is demonstrated using a dataset of a Flemish ED and fulfills the requirements which are defined a priori. Conclusions The developed dashboard provides real-time information on ED crowding. Modular product family design is a strong strategy to offer a wide range of product variants economically. Many methods for designing and assessing modular product concepts are provided in literature - deciding between modular product structure alternatives, however, is still a challenging task, because of the many and unforeseeable effects on all product life-phases in combination with the high number of involved stakeholders. In addition, modularity alternatives cause multi-dimensional trade-offs that make the decision process a complex challenge. Current approaches to decide the product modularization tend to focus on the prediction of either internal or external consequences. Furthermore, they rarely consider the prevalent situation of a company’s internal tier structure with different organizational sections, responsible for different module design and supply. In this paper, we investigate modularity decision problems and introduce an innovative framework and modularity decision dashboard, considering internal and external variety evaluation, conflicting objectives of stakeholders as well as company-internal tier structures of component, module and product suppliers. The approach builds on the integrated PKT-approach for developing modular product families, recent findings in complexity cost evaluation, effects of modularization and modularity decision problems. An industrial application at a modularization strategy project in an international powertool company is presented and proves basic validity of the framework and the process model. The results of the study demonstrate how an applicable modularity decision dashboard can facilitate cooperative decision-making and leads to a balanced variety for the electromotor module portfolio in an industrial environment. This study addresses the strategic governance challenges of modern smart cities from the new viewpoint of big data management. It seeks to develop and highlight a systematic methodological framework for handling multivariate big data in a smart urban decision support context in the ‘ New Urban World ’, so as to enhance the cities’ competitive performance through the design and development of operational urban management principles and strategies. The specific aim of this paper is to provide the critical and basic cornerstones for an applicable interactive dashboard architecture as a supporting tool in a structured process of innovative city strategies and consequent enhanced socio-economic performance. A core element in the present paper is formed by a smart urban dashboard system that acts as an interactive navigation tool supporting operational choices of all stakeholders involved. This dashboard is able to integrate complex and ever-changing big data bases serving as ‘signposts’ of city intelligence (or i -city smartness) for daily or strategic decisions of all urban stakeholders. This study thus outlines successively the concept of smart i -cities in our ‘ urban century ’, the great potential of digital technology for managing big data in governing i -cities, and the foundations of an urban dashboard on the basis of the so-called Pentagon model as a policy strategy vehicle. Student Centered e-Learning Environment (SCELE) is a Moodle-based learning management system (LMS) that has been modified to enhance learning within a computer science department curriculum offered by the Faculty of Computer Science of large public university in Indonesia. This Moodle provided a mechanism to record students' activities when engaged in learning with e-Learning software. However, while the software captured the data and presented it adequately, there is room for enhancement and further refinement. The purpose of this research is to investigate and understand lecturer needs as they monitor student activities in SCELE and then develop a learning monitoring tool capable of visualizing and collecting data in a form that facilitates lecturer observation, analysis, and targeting of specific concepts. Theories found within information architecture and information visualization are used as a foundational approach in the development of the application. There are some tools in place that classifies and/or rank beaches according to a series of parameters. It is possible to identify a gap in the development of tools that map and describe beaches without putting the results into a classification status of good or bad. Since beaches are important from different points of views such as ecology, tourism, economy, pollution or invasive species studies and management, fisheries, estate development, protected areas, among others it is relevant to describe and understand parameters in detail. This work offers a multi-purpose and interactive beach descriptor called BeachLog. It can be used by beachgoers to keep their own records in the same way a diver uses a Diver's LogBook, managers can use the tool to support coastal management projects, long-term monitoring, and beach description baseline. Also, BeachLog can be a didactic tool to aiming to bring environmental sciences closer to technology through the use of spreadsheets and dashboards. BeachLog is based on the more frequent parameters in the literature, selected, organized, accounted for, and altered/added according to expert opinion. We created a list of 28 parameters, all of which were described in details of what is expected to be observed by the user. They were divided into 5 groups (Environmental characteristics, Services & Infrastructure, Information & Security, Planning & Management, and Descriptive). Here, we describe 14 Brazilian beaches using the BeachLog by inputting the results as parameters presence or absence (0/1) and descriptives in a table that can be transformed into an interactive dashboard for better/easier visualization. Planning & Management was absent on all 14 beaches studied, pointing out the relevance and gaps in this group. In the other groups it was possible to observe variation in the parameter occurrence, indicating that each beach is different and it is important to observe parameters individually. Beach Litter and Invasive Species parameters from the Environmental characteristics group were present in all beaches. BeachLog showed as an easy way to describe a beach and can be a tool to support diagnosis and understanding of the beach's status. The contribution of the EU bioeconomy to sustainable development depends on how it is implemented. A high innovation potential is accompanied by considerable risks, in particular regarding the exacerbation of global land use conflicts. This article argues that a systemic monitoring system capable of connecting human-environment interactions and multiple scales of analysis in a dynamic way is needed to ensure that the EU bioeconomy transition meets overarching goals, like the Sustainable Development Goals. The monitoring should be centered around a dashboard of key indicators and targets covering environmental, economic, and social aspects of the bioeconomy. With a focus on the land dimension, this article examines the strengths and weakness of different economic, environmental and integrated models and methods for monitoring and forecasting the development of the EU bioeconomy. The state of research on key indicators and targets, as well as research needs to integrate these aspects into existing modeling approaches, are assessed. This paper critically reflects on the building of the Dublin Dashboard – a website built by two of the authors that provides citizens, planners, policy makers and companies with an extensive set of data and interactive visualizations about Dublin City, including real-time information – from the perspective of critical data studies. The analysis draws upon participant observation, ethnography, and an archive of correspondence to unpack the building of the dashboard and the emergent politics of data and design. Our findings reveal four main observations. First, a dashboard is a complex socio-technical assemblage of actors and actants that work materially and discursively within a set of social and economic constraints, existing technologies and systems, and power geometries to assemble, produce and maintain the website. Second, the production and maintenance of a dashboard unfolds contextually, contingently and relationally through transduction. Third, the praxis and politics of creating a dashboard has wider recursive effects: just as building the dashboard was shaped by the wider institutional landscape, producing the system inflected that landscape. Fourth, the data, configuration, tools, and modes of presentation of a dashboard produce a particularised set of spatial knowledges about the city. We conclude that rather than frame dashboard development in purely technical terms, it is important to openly recognize their contested and negotiated politics and praxis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper describes the United Nations World Food Programme's (WFP) Supply Chain Management Dashboard (SCM-D), a tool that increases operational efficiencies and effectiveness by enhancing Supply Chain (SC) visibility. Each year WFP assists an average of 80 million people across more than 80 countries. It is therefore critical for WFP to understand what processes are taking place at each stage of its global Supply Chain to allow for timely mitigation of risks, forward and contingency planning and optimization, as well as identification and propagation of best practices. The SCM-D provides this end-to-end visibility into the WFP Supply Chain, serving as a “one stop” holistic overview that condenses the SC situation for an operation. The SCM-D promotes integrated Supply Chain Management by facilitating collaboration amongst different business units and supporting better informed Executive Management decision making. An online platform applies the efficiency and effectiveness gains of the tool to all WFP operations, and makes the SCM-D accessible to staff anywhere and at any time. Simplicity is key to the design, with the information reflected on the SCM-D being detailed enough to allow for comprehensive understanding of an operation and identification of risks, challenges and opportunities; yet broad enough to provide a clear and integrated end-to-end SC picture. The tool increases operational transparency and efficiency, value for money of funds, and ultimately supports the delivery of critical food assistance to millions of vulnerable families. It is vital to measure and monitor the quality of clinical care, workload, workforce available to deliver care, adverse incidents as well as user feedback (complaints and compliments) to ensure the delivery of patient centred care. Clinical governance refers to a system or framework through which National Health Services (NHS) organizations are accountable for safeguarding and improving the quality of care and services by creating an environment in which clinical excellence will flourish. Various ‘score cards’ such as the ‘Maternity Dashboard ’ have been designed to improve patient care and outcomes by benchmarking against regional or national standards and monitoring these different parameters closely on a monthly basis to avoid adverse outcomes. In dynamic and competitive environments, firms focus on Quality Management integrated Systems to secure a competitive advantage and to improve performance. Managers emphasize on reporting tools and dashboards in quality audit as a crucial lever of performance. Moreover, the accruing difficulty in keeping the company's quality in accordance with the international quality standards push companies to try various methods of management. This research paper presents a holistic vision of quality Management systems that combines managerial and computing aspects. Indeed, this article presents a comparison of the solutions depicted in the literature to manage the quality and studies how firms can manage quality through an integrated system to improve performance. Finally, we suggested a solution to Small and Medium Enterprises via a Quality Management Software developed on J2EE framework and the Spring-Hibernate focusing on three main axes: Key Performance Indicators, document management references and audit management. Since, we have used open source technologies in conception and development, the company will not need to have any extra cost for certificates, deployment and maintenance. The only real cost is the one that is spent on the development phase. This solution helps the company to cut off the extra expenses and ensure a good balance between a good quality management and cost as well as a better integration with the already set infrastructure. Commercial buildings account for approximately 35% of total US electricity consumption, of which nearly two-thirds is met by fossil fuels resulting in an adverse impact on the environment. This adverse impact can be mitigated by lowering energy consumption via control of occupant plugload usage in a closed-loop building environment. In this work, we conducted multiple experiments to analyze changes in occupant plugload energy consumption due to incentives and/or visual feedback. The incentives entailed daily monetary values between $5 and $50 administered in a randomized order and the visual feedback consisted of a web-based dashboard aimed at increasing the energy awareness of participants. Experiments were performed in government office and university buildings at NASA Ames Research Park located in Moffett Field, CA. Autoregressive models were constructed to predict expected plugload savings in the presence of exogenous variables. Analysis of the data revealed modulation of plugload energy consumption can be achieved via visual feedback and incentive mechanisms suggesting that occupant-in-the-loop control architectures may be effective in the commercial building environment. Our findings indicate that the mean energy reduction due to visual feedback in office and university environments were ≈ 9. 52 % and ≈ 21. 61 % , respectively. By augmenting the visual feedback in the university environment with a monetary incentive, the mean energy reduction was found to be ≈ 24. 22 %. • Plugload energy consumption in commercial buildings is relatively under-examined. • Field experiments were conducted in government office and university buildings. • The efficacy of feedback and incentives on plugload energy consumption is examined. • Hypothesis tests are conducted, and confidence intervals are estimated. • Autoregressive models with exogenous inputs are proposed to model plugload usage. This research paper deals with the analysis of performances of economic entities from the construction sector from Romania. The necessary data for preparation and analysis up through dashboard of the economic entity are provided by managerial accounting through Target Costing method. The way of implementing and observing of stages which are completed in managerial accounting through Target Costing method are also presented in the paper based on the existing literature. For data analysis it was used a questionnaire based on three questions whose results were analyzed and which formed the basis of our entire course of scientific approach. The paper ends with the authors' conclusions about the performance analysis of economic entities in a construction project using dashboard showing the benefits of its long-term decisions. This study examines the development, utilization, and assessment of e-learning modules designed to assist students in mastering core concepts in a hybrid undergraduate engineering economic analysis class. The online learning aids focused upon key conceptual material that students had historically experienced difficulty learning within this course. The modules consisted of a short audio/video "micro-lecture" (ML) recording about a particular topic accompanied by downloadable reference documents containing the associated ML PowerPoint® slides and example problems. Automated assessment exercises were created for students to practice their grasp of the concepts. The online assessments and reference materials were hosted within the course learning management system, while the ML videos were accessed through a separate distance learning platform. Detailed records of students' use of the MLs, online assessment scores, exam performance, prior academic performance, and demographic variables were gathered. This data was compared to results for students in two previously taught sections who served as controls for the study. Although preliminary data indicates that the focused modules have been helpful to some students, data results overall were inconclusive in demonstrating improved learning outcomes across the board for students in the targeted course. Raising the chances of employment and improving the quality of education are the two most critical and interrelated challenges for eliminating poverty and reducing inequality in South Africa. To improve the quality of education, role-players need seamless access to critical information in order to guide planning and determine progress in different parts of the education system. Shortcomings in the current information infrastructure, especially at the nexus of the basic education and higher education systems, have resulted in an information gap that needs to be eliminated, before a comprehensive picture of the education system and the factors underpinning its performance, can emerge. Local and international experts were consulted to understand best practice; to describe information requirements; and to uncover the shortcomings in the existing infrastructure. Participants from the majority of the country's higher education institutions (HEIs) took part in a survey to verify and refine the shape and consequences of the information gap. This practice forum report details a standardized improvement process that was created both to improve patient outcomes related to various hospital-acquired infections and to address leadership concerns related to incented quality metrics. A 3-year retrospective review identified common issues to guide future interventions and confirmed that this methodology reduced the rate of recurrent infections across the health care system.
