Much attention has been paid to using English movies in senior high school English teaching in China since the release of 2017 edition of Senior High School English Curriculum Standards that lists English Movie Appreciation as an optional compulsory course. Senior high school teachers have conducted substantial research over the past three years regarding the practical application of English movies in their teaching, yet there has been a lack of thorough and systematic of analysis of the large number of relevant papers published, which, more or less, limits the understanding and further advancements of this study area. This paper attempts, in light of the emerging systematic review methodology, to present an overview of the research papers spanning the period 2019 to 2022 on the use of English movies in Chinese senior high school from the four perspectives: language ability, cultural awareness, thinking quality, and learning ability based on the concept of core literacy of English as an academic discipline in the new curriculum standard. With focus on the discussion of the common problems and corresponding countermeasures that have been sorted out from the works of front-line teachers, the paper also puts forward suggestions and prospects for further studies. In July 2015, China's national legislature brought in prosecutor-led civil environmental public interest litigation ("EPIL") for thirteen selected provincial areas of the country. After a two-year legal experiment, this prosecutor-led civil EPIL system was then established nationwide in July 2017. Yet, can it be said that prosecutorial regulators in China are in fact a paper tiger? Drawing upon content analysis of the 655 prosecutor-led civil EPILs and in-depth interviews with twelve frontline prosecutors and judges, this article examines the dynamics of regulatory practice and the motivation of the Chinese prosecutorial organs to engage in environmental regulation through litigation. Based upon the above two legislative landmarks in the law reform of this area, the regulatory practice of prosecutorial organs can be viewed as having occurred in three stages, with each stage featuring a distinct regulatory model: ad hoc regulation through local innovation before July 2015, forced regulation during the legal experiment from July 2015 to July 2017, and perfunctory regulation after the nationwide establishment of the prosecutor-led civil EPIL system in July 2017. The data shows that the Chinese prosecutorial organs have engaged in a larger number of such lawsuits since the second stage, but they have shown a strong preference for cases with less complicated facts, weak and small defendants, and minor environmental violations. Three factors that influence regulatory motivation are employed to analyse the change in regulatory models: the ambiguity of the law, the top-down political pressure for regulation, and the cost of regulation. This study highlights the very limited effectiveness of vertical political pressure in boosting prosecutorial regulation and the strong impacts of the cost of regulation and the ambiguity of the law. In particular, the high cost of regulation that takes weak regulatory capacity, lack of regulatory autonomy, and the winning rate-oriented performance appraisal system into account have significantly weakened the motivation of prosecutorial organs to pursue civil EPIL. The findings of this study echo the conditions present in the successful prosecutorial regulations in Brazil and contribute to the scholarship about prosecutorial regulations in the field of environmental protection in the Global South. Abstract: Recent years have seen increasing demand for wider application of strategic environmental assessment (SEA), especially SEA of major policies, as a powerful instrument to safeguard the environment during the rapid industrialization and urbanization in China. Debates on SEA are concentrated on its feasibility and effective implementation in practice. This study applies Emergy analysis within the framework of social–economic–natural complex eco-system theory to overcome the limitations of methods used for assessing regional sustainability so far. This established model is tested in the case of Chinese paper industry to assess the sustainability of 5 policy scenarios. The results show that Emergy-based Indices (EbI) are more effective to measure the sustainability of industry complex ecosystem, thus EbI approach is very useful in SEAs on policy scenarios of a given complex ecosystem. Abstract: Through sampling reed in Shuangtai estuary wetland in April, 2009 and simulation test in Shenyang Agricultural University, we analyze the removal efficiency of Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd during different growth period of reed and distribution of them in various parts of reed. The results show that the removal efficiency is best in jointing stage, the removal of Pb largest with 21% increase and 30% in sprout and exhibition leaf period, the removal of Zn largest with 53% and 29% increase in jointing stage and the maturity period, the removal of Cd largest with 40% increase in the different growing season. The absorption amount of Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd in roots of reed reaches maximum during the growth, followed by in stems and in leaves. Absorptive capacity in the whole plant for Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd exists extremely significant difference (p <0.01). The order is Pb>Zn>Cu>Cd. The absorption in root is higher than in stems and in leaves (p <0.05), but Zn and Cd absorption amount has no significant differences in stems and leaves (p >0.05). [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Information is provided on the dual track arbitration system, the issuing of interim powers, and the centralization of procedural power in China.

This paper reviews the basic research means for oilfield development and also the researches and tests of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods for mature oilfields and continental shale oil development, analyzes the problems of EOR methods, and proposes the relevant research prospects. The basic research means for oilfield development include in-situ acquisition of formation rock/fluid samples and non-destructive testing. The EOR methods for conventional and shale oil development are classified as improved water flooding (e.g. nano-water flooding), chemical flooding (e.g. low-concentration middle-phase micro- emulsion flooding), gas flooding (e.g. micro/nano bubble flooding), thermal recovery (e.g. air injection thermal-aided miscible flooding), and multi-cluster uniform fracturing/water-free fracturing, which are discussed in this paper for their mechanisms, approaches, and key technique researches and field tests. These methods have been studied with remarkable progress, and some achieved ideal results in field tests. Nonetheless, some problems still exist, such as inadequate research on mechanisms, imperfect matching technologies, and incomplete industrial chains. Based on an elaboration of the resource potential and annual production of tight sandstone gas and shale gas in the United States and China, this paper reviews the researches on the distribution of tight sandstone gas and shale gas reservoirs, and analyzes the distribution characteristics and genetic types of tight sandstone gas reservoirs. In the United States, the proportion of tight sandstone gas in the total gas production declined from 20%--35% in 2008 to about 8% in 2023, and the shale gas production was 8 310x108 m3 in 2023, about 80% of the total gas production, in contrast to the range of 5%--17% during 2000--2008. In China, the proportion of tight sandstone gas in the total gas production increased from 16% in 2010 to 28% or higher in 2023. China began to produce shale gas in 2012, with the production reaching 250x108 m3 in 2023, about 11% of the total gas production of the country. The distribution of shale gas reservoirs is continuous. According to the fault presence, fault displacement and gas layer thickness, the continuous shale gas reservoirs can be divided into two types: continuity and intermittency. Most previous studies believed that both tight sandstone gas reservoirs and shale gas reservoirs are continuous, but this paper holds that the distribution of tight sandstone gas reservoirs is not continuous. According to the trap types, tight sandstone gas reservoirs can be divided into lithologic, anticlinal, and synclinal reservoirs. In recent years, great breakthroughs have been made in the exploration and development of natural gas in deep coal-rock reservoirs in Junggar, Ordos and other basins in China. In view of the inconsistency between the industrial and academic circles on this new type of unconventional natural gas, this paper defines the concept of "coal-rock gas" on the basis of previous studies, and systematically analyzes its characteristics of occurrence state, transport and storage form, differential accumulation, and development law. Coal-rock gas, geologically unlike coalbed methane in the traditional sense, occurs in both free and adsorbed states, with free state in abundance. It is generated and stored in the same set of rocks through short distance migration, occasionally with the accumulation from other sources. Moreover, coal rock develops cleat fractures, and the free gas accumulates differentially. The coal-rock gas reservoirs deeper than 2 000 m are high in pressure, temperature, gas content, gas saturation, and free-gas content. In terms of development, similar to shale gas and tight gas, coal-rock gas can be exploited by natural formation energy after the reservoirs connectivity is improved artificially, that is, the adsorbed gas is desorbed due to pressure drop after the high-potential free gas is recovered, so that the free gas and adsorbed gas are produced in succession for a long term without water drainage for pressure drop. According to buried depth, coal rank, pressure coefficient, reserves scale, reserves abundance and gas well production, the classification criteria and reserves/resources estimation method of coal-rock gas are presented. It is preliminarily estimated that the coal-rock gas in place deeper than 2 000 m in China exceeds 30x1012 m3, indicating an important strategic resource for the country. The Ordos, Sichuan, Junggar and Bohai Bay basins are favorable areas for large-scale enrichment of coal-rock gas. The paper summarizes the technical and management challenges and points out the research directions, laying a foundation for the management, exploration, and development of coal-rock gas in China. This paper critically reviews the lessons learnt from the testing of China's digital currency, the e-CNY. Using a theory-based case study, it looks at the e-CNY testing through the lens of the academic literature on Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). The controlled field experiments by the Peoples Bank of China tested the technology, consumer usage and transaction robustness of the e-CNY. The results of this testing are collated, and the paper compares the transactions per second with other digital money offerings. It also investigates the results in the context of privacy and monetary policy. It is observed that several lessons can be learnt. These are that (1) CBDC testing needs to be phased and incorporate techniques, approaches, tools, and frameworks; (2) retail CBDCs compete with private forms of digital money for share of wallet; (3) the hybrid co-development model allows for a robust CBDC offering: and (4) privacy concerns and digital literacy impact user uptake. Order distribution and routing optimization of takeout delivery is a challenging research topic in the field of e-commerce. In this paper, we propose a drone–rider joint delivery mode with multi-distribution center collaboration for the problems of limited-service range, unreasonable distribution, high delivery cost, and tight time windows in the takeout delivery process. The model is constructed with the minimum delivery cost and the overall maximum customer satisfaction as the objective function, and a two-stage heuristic algorithm is designed to solve the model. In the first stage, Euclidean distance is used to classify customers into the regions belonging to different distribution centers, and the affinity propagation (AP) clustering algorithm is applied to allocate orders from different distribution centers. The second stage uses an improved tabu search algorithm for route optimization based on specifying the number of rider and drone calls. This paper takes China's Ele.me and Meituan takeout as the reference object and uses the Solomon data set for research. The experimental results show that compared with the traditional rider delivery mode, the drone–rider joint delivery mode with multiple distribution center collaboration can effectively reduce the number of riders used, lower the delivery cost, and improve the overall customer satisfaction. After decades of efforts, it has accumulated abundant marine basic data, and has built various types, different topics and large-scale marine databases. The construction of Hainan provincial digital ocean environment parameters 3D visualization system can effectively integrate, utilize and share these marine information resources, and support marine management and marine ecological environment protection. The multi-dimensional dynamic visualization of information can provide scientific and effective tools for comprehensive marine management and macro-decision-making in a timely and accurate manner. This paper introduces a digital ocean environment parameters three-dimensional (3D) visualization system based on digital earth sphere model suitable for marine environment parameters three-dimensional visualization display, studies the key technologies of multi-dimensional marine environment parameters visualization based on basic geographic data and remote sensing images, which integrated high-precision Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and satellite images to realize the three-dimensional integration and visualization of marine environmental parameters in the South China Sea, providing data display, multi-temporal dimension comparison and spatial overlay analysis. In diaspora and post-colonial communities, ethnic Chinese people tend to adopt names that are common in majority English-speaking countries. Compared to these communities, less attention has been paid to mainland Chinese, where the practice of adopting an English name is in the process of becoming normalised among the current generation of fifteen to thirty-five-year-olds. This paper is part of a wider project to examine the English naming practices of Chinese students from mainland China. It focuses specifically on name choices and the reasons for these choices. A 44-item questionnaire was completed by 357 mainland Chinese students, and this paper reports the quantitative data relevant to name choices and the reasons behind them. The results display an array of preferred English names and suggest that one of the key aspects of name choice is the uniqueness of the name, which served multiple purposes: distinguishing themselves from the peers, enabling them to be remembered, and expressing their identity. Additionally, Chinese students demonstrated a high degree of agency in their name choices, which was evident in the creative approaches used in name selection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper provides a brief introduction to Chinese posthumous names. This name system is based on the opposition between positive and negative evaluations of the deceased. It was employed as a means for negotiating legitimacy and shaping the historical record. This article also provides information on the "Order of Posthumous Names Explained", a chapter of the Neglected Zhou Scriptures. This chapter is a canonical source for the study of Chinese posthumous names. It is commonly seen by scholars as an ancient onomasticon used to assign posthumous names. This paper argues that, in its present form, this chapter is a complex medieval compilation of multiple earlier sources. This paper counters the narrow interpretation of onomasticons of Chinese posthumous names as manuals for assigning names to the deceased. Instead, it postulates that onomasticons of posthumous names were also used as aids in the interpretation of history. The development of mobile technology has facilitated the widespread adoption of digital currency worldwide. An important application of mobile technology is digital currency, which has gained global popularity due to its blockchain and peer-to-peer mobile payment mechanisms. The emergence of private digital currencies, such as Bitcoin, poses a challenge to the monetary policy of governments. To address this threat, many central banks are developing their own central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) with legal support. China's CBDC, e-CNY (electronic China Yuan), is one of the most advanced examples of this innovation. However, the adoption and usage of e-CNY by residents is still limited and requires improvement. This paper aims to identify and analyze the factors that influence residents' willingness to use e-CNY, based on a literature review and a logistic regression model. The results indicate that residents' awareness, convenience, cost, promotional activities, and the involvement of relevant parties (merchants, commercial banks, payment institutions, and the People's Bank of China (PBC)) significantly influence their willingness to use e-CNY. Semi-natural habitats (SNHs) surrounding agricultural fields contribute significantly to biodiversity in agricultural landscapes. SNHs can be divided into large habitat patches such as contiguous patches of forests, and smaller, interspersed linear habitat types such as grassy field margins. Traditional small-holder agricultural farmlands in China, replete with rich linear habitats, are notably beneficial for biodiversity. However, as these farmlands undergo consolidation to enhance the efficiency of machinery, linear habitats are being removed, a process that could adversely affect biodiversity. Appropriate agri-environmental measures (AEM), such as the restoration of field margins via strategic planting, could serve as an effective countermeasure to maintain biodiversity in consolidated land. This paper discusses how biodiversity monitoring can aid in evaluating the impact of land consolidation and the efficacy of AEM in China, from species richness and species composition perspectives. The paper also discusses the function of linear habitats and how they interact with large habitat patches in promoting biodiversity, while noting that outcomes are likely to vary among taxa. Long-term, multiple-taxa and comprehensive assessments are recommended in further studies, and a collaborative approach that involves multiple stakeholders is essential to ensure a success implication of AEM in China. To ensure sustainable development, there is a limit to the extent of urbanization. Thus, rural development is an essential strategy that many nations must work on to ensure optimal economic, environmental, and social outcomes at a country level. However, rural development in itself is challenging because rural communities typically have limited resources and capabilities to address common livelihood challenges, let alone take on new economic roles. Hence, as part of rural revitalization strategies, innovation plays a critical role. A wide range of technologies can facilitate innovation in rural development, including the internet and new agricultural technologies. In addition, new mindsets and shifts in values, such as the changing trends of work and consumerism, can create opportunities for rural areas to adopt innovation and develop new growth engines. However, it should be noted that the nature of innovation in rural and urban settings are different. In rural regions, growth could be enabled through more specific types of innovations, including frugal innovation, inclusive innovation, and social innovation. To enable these forms of innovations in rural areas, this paper proposes a three-dimensional process model that includes pro-social technological innovation policy, rural innovation governance, and dynamic networks that close the gap between rural and urban innovation systems. Examples from China, such as the development of Tengtou Village and Taobao Villages serve to demonstrate these concepts. Overall, the discussions in the paper suggest that to enable innovation in rural development, it is necessary to foster closer interactions between rural and urban innovation ecosystems for the former to leverage the latter's technologies, networks, and resources. Super oil and gas basins provide the energy foundation for social progress and human development. In the context of climate change and carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, constructing an integrated energy and carbon neutrality system that balances energy production and carbon reduction becomes crucial for the transformation of such basins. Under the framework of a green and intelligent energy system primarily based on "four news", new energy, new electricity, new energy storage, and new intelligence, integrating a "super energy system" composed of a huge amount of underground resources of coal, oil, gas and heat highly overlapping with abundant wind and solar energy resources above ground, and a regional intelligent energy consumption system with coordinated development and utilization of fossil energy and new energy, with a carbon neutrality system centered around carbon cycling is essential. This paper aims to select the traditional oil and gas basins as "super energy basins" with the conditions to build world-class energy production and demonstration bases for carbon neutrality. The Ordos Basin has unique regional advantages, including abundant fossil fuel and new energy resources, as well as matching CO2 sources and sinks, position it as a carbon neutrality "super energy basin" which explores the path of transformation of traditional oil and gas basins. Under the integrated development concept and mode of "coal + oil + gas + new energy + carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS)/carbon capture and storage (CCS)", the carbon neutrality in super energy basin is basically achieved, which enhance energy supply and contribute to the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, establish a modern energy industry and promote regional green and sustainable development. The pioneering construction of the world-class carbon neutrality "super energy system" demonstration basin in China represented by the Ordos Basin will reshape the new concept and new mode of exploration and development of super energy basins, which is of great significance to the global energy revolution under carbon neutrality. This paper expounds the basic principles and structures of the whole petroleum system to reveal the pattern of conventional oil/gas -- tight oil/gas -- shale oil/gas sequential accumulation and the hydrocarbon accumulation models and mechanisms of the whole petroleum system. It delineates the geological model, flow model, and production mechanism of shale and tight reservoirs, and proposes future research orientations. The main structure of the whole petroleum system includes three fluid dynamic fields, three types of oil and gas reservoirs/resources, and two types of reservoir-forming processes. Conventional oil/gas, tight oil/gas, and shale oil/gas are orderly in generation time and spatial distribution, and sequentially rational in genetic mechanism, showing the pattern of sequential accumulation. The whole petroleum system involves two categories of hydrocarbon accumulation models: hydrocarbon accumulation in the detrital basin and hydrocarbon accumulation in the carbonate basin/formation. The accumulation of unconventional oil/gas is self-containment, which is microscopically driven by the intermolecular force (van der Waals force). The unconventional oil/gas production has proved that the geological model, flow model, and production mechanism of shale and tight reservoirs represent a new and complex field that needs further study. Shale oil/gas must be the most important resource replacement for oil and gas resources of China. Future research efforts include: (1) the characteristics of the whole petroleum system in carbonate basins and the source-reservoir coupling patterns in the evolution of composite basins; (2) flow mechanisms in migration, accumulation, and production of shale oil/gas and tight oil/gas; (3) geological characteristics and enrichment of deep and ultra-deep shale oil/gas, tight oil/gas and coalbed methane; (4) resource evaluation and new generation of basin simulation technology of the whole petroleum system; (5) research on earth system -- earth organic rock and fossil fuel system -- whole petroleum system. Enhancing student motivation to manage their learning process and attain selftransformation in Oral English learning presents a notable challenge. This study emerged from a Role Play Oral English Course (RPOEC) which utilizes English cartoon film clips to enhance primary students' oral English skills through role play, facilitating meaningful language input and output. Implemented in a Chinese context where English language exposure is limited, this qualitative case study, combined with action research, explores how autonomous learning is fostered through RPOEC. The study engaged a Grade Six class of 30 students (25 girls and 5 boys) in northern China, investigating strategies to trigger learners' interests and form their independent learner identities autonomously, empower learners in their educational journey, encourage reflective practices in oral English learning, and involve learners in evaluative processes. Data, collected through a combination of observations, focus group discussions, and document analysis for three months, were thematically analyzed across four intertwined perspectives: situated learning, interactive communication, cooperative learning, and evaluative discussions. The paper posits that the outlined curricular approach can be tailored to educators' needs aiming to cultivate students' oral English skills within a situated, interactive, and collaborative learning environment, pushing learners towards autonomous engagement. It is crucial to explore the impact of digital financial inclusion on tourism for national economic development. This paper utilizes panel data from 256 prefecture-level cities in China between 2011 and 2019 to examine the influence of digital financial inclusion on tourism. The findings demonstrate that digital financial inclusion significantly contributes to the development of the tourism industry. Notably, its coverage breadth, depth of use, and level of digitalization also have positive effects. Mechanism analysis reveals that digital financial inclusion facilitates the growth of tourism by supporting the development of tourism enterprises and enhancing consumer spending. Heterogeneity analysis further reveals regional and urban disparities in the promotion of digital financial inclusion, with the effect being more pronounced in the eastern region and larger cities. In comparison to existing studies, this paper delves into the mechanisms through which digital financial inclusion impacts tourism, as well as investigates regional and city size discrepancies. Consequently, governments should strive to foster the development of digital financial inclusion to attract market players and promote the advancement of residents' consumption, thereby bolstering tourism development. To solve the problems of large prediction error, slow convergence speed, and poor generalisation ability of traditional models in predicting surface deformation of open-pit mine slopes, this paper proposes a new intelligent prediction model based on the Mayfly algorithm-optimised support vector machine (MA-SVM). In this method, the MA is used to optimise the SVM parameters to reduce the uncertainty of the model and avoid time-consuming parameter adjustment. To evaluate the proposed prediction model, real-world deformation data of the north slope of the Anjialing open-pit mine in Pingshuo city, China, are collected using the microdeformation monitoring radar and used to investigate the deformation prediction performance of the proposed method. The results of the analysis demonstrate that the proposed method is able to accurately predict the deformation of the surface of the mine slope and outperforms three existing popular methods, including SVM, genetic algorithm (GA)-SVM, and particle swarm optimisation (PSO)-SVM). The mean absolute error (MAE) of the proposed MA⁃SVM is 2.52 % while 6.56 %, 4.95 %, and 5.16 % for the SVM, GA-SVM, and PSO-SVM, respectively; the root mean square error (RMSE) of the proposed MA⁃SVM is 10.21 % while 30.79 %, 17.38 %, and 22.54 % for the other three methods. Because the proposed MA⁃SVM model is able to predict slope deformation using actual monitoring data, it is of practical importance in real-world applications for early warning on landslides of mine slopes. Digital remote care has emerged as a transformative approach in the delivery of healthcare services. This paper presents an empirical case study that investigates the utilization of digital remote care for postoperative rehabilitation in a relatively large-scale implementation in China. To gather the empirical data, we employed a mixed-methods approach including observations, document analysis, semi-structured interviews, and a participatory workshop. The findings obtained from these diverse sources were documented and analyzed through journey mapping, which provides a holistic view of the process of delivering digital remote care services. Drawing from the journey map, we gain insights into the specific problems faced by health professionals and use this knowledge to identify areas for improvement. In the mid-21st century, natural gas will enter its golden age, and the era of natural gas is arriving. This paper reviews the development stages of global natural gas industry and the enlightenment of American shale gas revolution, summarizes the development history and achievements of the natural gas industry in China, analyzes the status and challenges of natural gas in the green and low-carbon energy transition, and puts forward the natural gas industry development strategies under carbon neutral target in China. The natural gas industry in China has experienced three periods: start, growth, and leap forward. At present, China has become the fourth largest natural gas producer and third largest natural gas consumer in the world, and has made great achievements in natural gas exploration and development theory and technology, providing important support for the growth of production and reserves. China has set its goal of carbon neutrality to promote green and sustainable development, which brings opportunities and challenges for natural gas industry. Natural gas has significant low-carbon advantages, and gas-electric peak shaving boosts new energy development; the difficulty and cost of development are more prominent. For the national energy security and harmonious development between economy and ecology under the carbon neutral goal, based on the principle of "comprehensive planning, technological innovation, multi-energy complementarity, diversified integration, flexibility and efficiency, optimization and upgrading", the construction of the production-supplystorage-marketing system has to be improved so as to boost the development of the natural gas industry. First, it is necessary to strengthen efforts in the exploration and development of natural gas, making projects and arrangement in key exploration and development areas, meanwhile, it is urgent to make breakthroughs in key science theories and technologies, so as to increase reserve and production. Second, it should promote green and innovative development of the natural gas by developing new techniques, expanding new fields and integrating with new energy. Third, there is a demand to realize transformation and upgrading of the supply and demand structure of natural gas by strengthening the layout of pipeline gas, liquefied natural gas and the construction of underground gas storage, establishing reserve system for improving abilities of emergency response and adjustment, raising the proportion of natural gas in the primary energy consumption and contributing to the transformation of energy consumption structure, realizing low-carbon resources utilization and clean energy consumption. Implantable medical devices (IMDs) play a crucial role in improving individuals' well-being and ensuring their safety by providing real-time health data monitoring for recovery. The use of energy harvesting (EH) technology has become increasingly popular among researchers because it offers the potential to extend the battery life of IMDs and reduce their weight. This study successfully examined the expansion of EH in the field of IMDs, the distribution of publications across different countries, and the identification of the most influential authors for potential research collaborations. A bibliometric analysis was conducted to evaluate two metrics: performance and science mapping. Data was collected from the Scopus database from the initial publications until October 2023, encompassing 250 articles published in Englishlanguage journals. The titles, keywords, and abstracts of these publications were analyzed and interpreted using VOS Viewer (version 1.6.19). Furthermore, network analysis using VOS Viewer enabled the identification of key research clusters. The findings reveal a continuous increase in EH for research on infectious and parasitic diseases over the 15-year period from 2008 to 2023. The United States and the University of Bern are recognized as the leading contributors to this field, based on their country and institutional contributions, respectively. The author with the most published papers and citations hails from China. Additionally, this study identifies several opportunities for collaboration with countries, institutions, authors, and research hotspots in EH for IMDs that benefit the reader. The inconvenience of travel, air pollution and consequent economic losses caused by traffic congestion have seriously restricted the healthy and sustainable development of cities in China. In this context, as the main component of current and future urban traffic management measures, intelligent transportation system is an important means to improve the traffic efficiency of road network and alleviate urban traffic congestion. Traffic flow prediction plays an important role in this connection. In this paper, an ensemble short-term traffic flow prediction method based on optimized variational mode decomposition (OVMD) and combined long short-term memory network (LSTM) is proposed. The method consists of three main components: 1. Use the improved bat algorithm to optimize the parameters of VMD to achieve better decomposition effect; 2. Use the optimized variational mode decomposition algorithm (OVMD) to decompose the unstable original traffic flow time series data into relatively stable multiple Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs); 3. The optimized L-BILSTM model is established by combining the basic long short-term memory network with the bidirectional long short-term memory network. It can better extract information from traffic flow data and improve the accuracy of prediction results. In the empirical study part, the traffic flow data of Changsha City is used to verify the prediction model proposed in this paper. The influence of the application of the variational mode decomposition algorithm to the training set data and the overall data on the final prediction results is also compared and analysed. Starting from the data mining technology, this paper expounds its connotation and several common methods in detail. Based on the demand of sports training, this paper studies the quality control of sports training and the statistical system of tactical combat. On this basis, an improved output method of Aprilio algorithm is introduced to enhance the correctness of systematic evaluation. On this basis, three algorithms, classic, DC-Apriori and modified Apriori, are simulated and compared. The operation and maintenance expenses of power transmission and transformation projects, as a significant power supply carrier of the nation, continue to rise as a result of the sustained and quick expansion of China's social economy and the quick growth of the country's power demand. Power grid businesses are under a lot of market pressure. To increase the level of lean management of the operation and maintenance costs of power transmission and transformation projects, power grid enterprises must significantly enhance their capacity to estimate the operation and maintenance costs of their organizations in advance. Machine learning algorithms are gradually applied to the operation and maintenance cost prediction of power transmission and transformation projects of power grid enterprises as a result of the ongoing development of big data technology, effectively increasing the accuracy of operation and maintenance cost prediction. In this paper, by analyzing the variables affecting the differential operation and maintenance cost of power transmission and transformation projects, a scientific and reasonable investment analysis model for the differential operation and maintenance cost of power transmission and transformation projects is constructed using the stochastic forest algorithm of particle swarm optimization, and the variables affecting the differential operation and maintenance cost of substations and transmission lines are obtained, which proves that the trend of the prediction model in this paper is more consistent with the actual situation. Research background: With the rapid development of civil engineering, the traditional low rise building model can no longer meet the needs of urbanization, and high-rise building structure has become the future development direction. In recent years, earthquake disasters occur frequently in China, which has caused huge losses to high-rise buildings. Therefore, we must strengthen the relevant research of high-rise building structures, which can make the high-rise building structural columns meet the requirements of safety performance. Therefore, the health detection and seismic performance evaluation of high-rise buildings will be of great significance. Research method: Through static elastic-plastic evaluation, we can calculate the dissipated strain energy of the structural column, which will further obtain the damage index of the structural column and obtain relevant data. Through this calculation method, we can complete the seismic performance evaluation of high-rise buildings, which is a calculation mode different from the traditional finite element software analysis. Through static elastic-plastic analysis, the seismic performance evaluation of high-rise buildings will have higher accuracy, which will build a damage index. Therefore, this paper uses a variety of research methods, mainly literature survey and empirical analysis. Through literature analysis, this paper can fully and correctly understand the methods of health detection and seismic performance evaluation of high-rise building structures at home and abroad, which will further clarify the current research level at home and abroad. Through empirical research, this paper analyzes specific examples, which can obtain more accurate results. Conclusion: In this paper, the seismic performance of high-rise buildings is comprehensively evaluated according to the damage index value of building structural columns. With the increasingly urgent demand for innovative talents, college students should have strong collaborative innovation ability because they are the backbone of future sci-tech innovation in China. Existing methods can be used to measure and evaluate to some extent the collaborative innovation and achievement transformation efficiency of college students. However, many of the methods focus on data of a certain period and neglect dynamic analysis. Dynamic comparisons of different periods need to be made because innovation activities and achievement transformation may be influenced by time factors in practical situations. In addition, some methods only focus on the quantity index of achievement transformation, and neglect quality evaluation. Therefore, this paper aimed to study the collaborative innovation ability cultivation of college students by improving the achievement transformation efficiency. Three-stage data envelopment analysis (DEA)-Windows model was used to calculate the collaborative innovation and achievement transformation efficiency of college students. This paper elaborated in detail the calculation process of these three stages, namely, the first-stage DEA-Windows analysis, the second-stage panel stochastic frontier analysis (SFA), and the third-stage adjusted DEA-Windows analysis. Based on the research needs of collaborative innovation ability cultivation of college students by improving the achievement transformation efficiency, this paper constructed an evaluation index system using Fare-Primont index model and Pastor method, and focused on the sci-tech innovation achievement transformation factors, such as output results and ability improvement. The article presents comments on sociologist Bernard C. Go's paper "The Chinese in the Philippines: Facts and Fancies," which was published in the October 1972 issue of the "Philippine Sociological Review." The author agrees with many of Go's conclusions, notably with his statements that the Chinese no longer dominate the Philippine economy nor do they control it, that not all the Chinese in the Philippines are rich, that the Philippine Chinese community is not a fertile ground for the spread of communist ideology, that Chinese girls are willing to marry Filipinos, that never before in the history, be cause of the changes that have taken place, has the prospect of integrating and assimilating the Chinese into the mainstream of Filipino society appeared brighter than it does today. Chinese in the Philippines are far from homogeneous. Because of the existence of disparate factions sometimes working at cross purposes, the Chinese are not a monolithic group, nor are they united. However, one cannot deny the fact that the Chinese, especially the China-born, are clannish in the sense that they continue to cling to their family, clan, village, and district associations.

The article presents comments on sociologist Bernard C. Some 30 or more years ago, the Chinese may have dominated a big portion of the retail trade but, as Go has emphasized, they never did control the economy of the nation. With the Retail Trade Nationalization Law in full force and effect for the past 18 years, Chinese domination of this facet of the economy has become a thing of the past. At the rate Filipinos are taking over retail business in the Philippines, it would not be presumptuous to assume that, perhaps 10 years from now, Chinese retailers in the Philip- pines will have been reduced to a minimum number, or entirely wiped out. The economy is made up of interdependent parts. It includes commerce, industry, agriculture, mining, servicing, and other sectors. Commerce alone embraces the retail and wholesale market and import and export trade. The Chinese investments in this country are mainly in commerce, including retail, wholesale, import, and export.

China's offshore wind power (OWP) has become an important part of China's energy strategy and marine strategy, so studying the output characteristic curve of offshore wind power is of great significance for the development of offshore wind power. In this paper, a Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) based on QAIC (Quasi-AIC, Akaike Information Criterion) was proposed. The original output curve of offshore wind power was classified and the characteristic curve was extracted. The characteristic curve of offshore wind power which can reflect the characteristics of different wind areas is obtained. At last, taking the actual wind power in Coastal Jiangsu Province as the research object, the results of this clustering model and the Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) based on BIC (Bayesian Information Criterion) are compared via the CH score (Calinski Harabasz Score) to evaluate the effect of this clustering model for the intention of verifying the effectiveness of the method in this paper. Government protected areas are the most dominant governance type in the global network of protected areas, but in recent years, a lack of research compared to indigenous and private nongovernment protected areas has become evident. Consequently, community-inclusive conservation strategies consistent with the advantages of government protected areas are unclarified. Focusing on 49 households living at the Mount Huangshan World Natural Heritage Site in eastern China, this paper uses qualitative research triangulation to explain the causality between community exclusion and local distrust of the protected area and builds an explanation concerning the political and economic context. The questionnaire data analysed from the configuration perspective were corroborated with interviews and archival data, presenting innovative and enlightening findings. Lack of participation alone does not elicit local protests against biohabitat conservation, and government performance determines the trustworthiness of the government protected area. When local households are unaware of the government's efforts, a "trust paradox" in which the households that receive economic gains distrust government PAs emerges. This is caused by the social expectations of the "responsible government" and the survivorship bias of the households who manage to succeed in profiting. Induced or mandatory community participation is needed to strengthen the indigenous perception of the link between local development and government performance. This paper proposes a new strategy for socioecological goals that is consistent with the advantages of government protected areas, the most globally dominant governance type for protected areas and the type employed by the largest number of countries. • Underparticipation alone does not elicit local protest against biohabitat conservation of government PA. • Good government performance is a sufficient condition for the trustworthiness of government PA. • The "trust paradox" in which the benefited households distrust PA is due to the social expectation and survivorship bias. • Induced or mandatory participation generates trust in PA if community is broadly consulted on economic and social areas. The high-quality development of national high-tech zones is a matter of great concern for both the government and scholars as it serves as an important base for realizing scientific and technological innovation and industrialization of achievements. This paper constructs a conceptual model of the national high-tech zone innovation system by breaking it down into two subsystems: the innovation R&D subsystem and the innovation incubation subsystem. Through the use of a two-phase Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model, the innovation efficiency of each subsystem is measured for the 42 national high-tech zones in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, and Pearl River Delta urban agglomerations. The research conclusion indicates that the majority of the high-tech zones in China are high in both research and development (R&D) efficiency and achievement conversion rate, indicating generally high overall innovation efficiency. However, there is a gap between the three urban agglomerations in terms of innovation resources and transformation environment, with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei High-tech Zone having low transformation efficiency, and some areas of Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta having low efficiency in technology R&D. Furthermore, the study finds that the innovation modes and paths of high-tech zones within urban agglomerations are quite different in the process of coordinated development of innovation. Therefore, the paper proposes two innovative development paths: the endogenous growth path and the exogenous driving path. The research results provide a tool for more objective evaluation of the innovation efficiency of national high-tech zones in different urban agglomerations in China, and provide a decision-making basis for different regions to implement corresponding innovative development paths. The concept of policy capacity is often used to explain the success or failure of governments or countries in conceiving of, developing, and implementing policies, but is often poorly systematised. Wu et al provide a framework for understanding types of policy capacity, arguing that three kinds of capacity, distributed across policy systems, are needed for effective implementation. This paper applies that framework to a discussion of China, a country that has been managing a fundamental transformation since at least the late 1970s, which has underpinned the country's growth and development. The paper focuses on a subset of China's reforms - reforms to the healthcare system since the 1990s. Discussion of policy capacity shows (1) that policy capacity is dynamic and adaptive, in response to changing challenges due to rapid transformation in the country; (2) that the development and distribution of capacities has, overall, been government-directed, with strong research and analytical support from public think tanks and universities; (3) that understanding of policy capacity is evolving, with government paying increasing attention to the need to develop a learning state and society in response to increasingly complex problems of development. Background and objective Lung cancer is the malignant tumor with the highest incidence rate and the heaviest disease burden in China. In recent years, lung cancer has shown a high incidence trend, seriously affecting the health of the population. In this paper, we analyze the characteristics of lung cancer incidence in 2019 and the trend of incidence rate from 2010-2019 in the tumor registration area of Gansu province, in order to provide a reference basis for the development of lung cancer prevention and control strategies in Gansu province. Methods By analyzing the cases of lung cancer incidence in the tumor registration area of Gansu province in 2019, we calculated the incidence rate, medium incidence rate, world incidence rate and other related indexes; we used Joinpoint to calculate the annual percentage change (APC) for trend analysis. Results In 2019, a total of 3757 new cases of lung cancer were reported in Gansu province, accounting for 14.96% of all new malignant tumors. The incidence rate, medium incidence rate and world incidence rate and world rate of lung cancer were 40.52/105, 25.78/105, 25.86/105; and the cumulative rate of 0-74 years old, and the truncation rate of 35-64 years old were 3.23%, 40.03/105, respectively. The incidence of lung cancer rises with age, and is high in the age group of 40 years and above, and the incidence peaks in the male and female populations in the group of 75 years and above, and the group of 80 years and above, respectively. The crude incidence rate of lung cancer in the tumor registration area of Gansu province from 2010-2019 showed an overall increasing trend, and the rate of increase was relatively fast, with an APC 5.39% (P<0.05); Separately, according to gender, urban and rural areas, the incidence of lung cancer in all populations showed an increasing trend, and the APC of male, female, urban and rural populations were 4.98%, 6.39%, 6.26%, and 4.64%, respectively (all P<0.05). According to the trend analysis of lung cancer incidence rate by age group, only lung cancer incidence in the age group of 65 years and above increased at an annual average rate of 4.15% (P<0.05). Conclusion The incidence rate of lung cancer in the tumor registration area of Gansu province from 2010 to 2019 shows a rising trend year by year, and there are differences in the incidence of lung cancer in people of different genders, regions and age groups, so comprehensive prevention and control work should be carried out for the key populations of lung cancer incidence. Through a longitudinal literature review, this paper aims to explore different facets of the Queen Mother of the West as a representation of the Great Mother archetype in Jungian psychology. In ancient China, she was a supreme goddess controlling the order of the universe. Her residence, Mount Kunlun, is capable of nourishing and devouring life. She possesses the elixir of life and controls the punishments of the world. Thus, the Queen Mother of the West is transformed into a deity of both life and death. In the funeral rituals of the Han and Tang dynasties, she was a goddess who summoned the dead and led their spirits to heaven, while in folklore she was a mythical Muse for many emperors and the anima of many intellectuals. She is the mother of reincarnation and the eternal spirit. As a symbol for instinct, archetype and femininity in the collective unconscious, the Queen Mother of the West embodies both the positive and negative aspects of the mother archetype: the positive being the persona of the Great Mother and the negative being the shadow. This article discusses the management of invasive alien species (IAS) in China. It highlights the negative impacts of biological invasions on ecosystems, the environment, and the economy. The article presents 24 papers that cover a wide range of topics related to IAS management, including risk analysis, mechanisms of invasion success, performance of successful IAS, and impact and control of invasive species. The studies use various methods such as field surveys, experiments, ecological modeling, and molecular techniques to assess invasion risks, investigate mechanisms, and develop control strategies. For Japan's former prime minister Abe Shinzō, security cooperation with Southeast Asia was central to preventing the South China Sea from turning into a "Lake Beijing" - completely under Chinese control. This paper explains why Abe's security engagement in the region focused mainly on providing Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) to Southeast Asian coast guards agencies to counter China's maritime assertiveness. Answers are provided by looking at not only international but also domestic factors. Based on key variables of post-Cold War Japan's foreign policy, namely the US-Japan alliance, the dominance of economic tools, and normative and institutional constraints on the use of force, the analysis concludes that CBA was an ideal response to the complex demands and restrictions of Japan's security policy. This study employs information economics and the financial intermediary theory to explore the influences of private information in virtual communities and financial technology (fintech) derived from virtual currency on financial stocks. The paper conducts robust analyses on 67,166 data observations of the stock markets in China and Taiwan and finds that virtual currency development causes a structural change in the financial industry. The financial stocks in Taiwan are obviously driven by virtual factors, whereas those in China are subject to both pull from substantial factors and push from virtual factors. The research findings also suggest that the non-fundamental herding behavior driven by private information interferes with the value of financial stocks. However, financial innovations boost the competitiveness of the financial industry. It is advised to establish a policy to closely monitor the diffusion of private information and the exchange rate volatility between cryptocurrencies and home currencies to facilitate proactive financial risk management. This paper investigates the dominant attribute of housing in China for the period 2000 to 2017 with national monthly data. By employing VAR methodology and Chow test, the empirical results suggest that there is a statistically significant structural breakpoint in February 2009, and that the housing boom before 2009 was driven by self-occupation consumption demand while the rise in house prices since 2009 is a monetary phenomenon. These are consistent with the institutional backgrounds, when the first period encountered the end of housing as a welfare and rapid urbanization and the second period experienced the expansionary monetary policy introduced at the end of 2008. This implies that housing is gradually evolving from a necessity to a financial item, and policymakers should adopt policies that address the dominant attributes of housing at different periods.
