Owing to the excellent physical and chemical properties, mixed ionic-electronic conducting oxides, especially Ruddlesden-Popper (RP)perovskite oxides, are interesting materials for environment and energy research. Phase transition is a common phenomenon for these materials, which generally exerts a great influence on the properties and functionalities. Element-doping has been recognized as a facile and efficient strategy to improve the oxygen ionic or electronic conductivity or to stabilize the crystal phase structure. However, in-depth understanding of the mechanism of phase transition is still limited so far. Herein, we try to reveal the mechanism of molybdenum substitution in B-site of RP perovskite (Pr2NiO4) to induce the ex-situ collapse and to inhibit the in-situ phase transition. This work not only provides a thorough explanation of the phase transition process based on element doping but also presents a novel high-performance oxygen permeation membrane.

Background: Idiopathic rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (iRBD) is increasingly recognized as a manifestation preceding the α-synucleinopathies like Parkinson’s disease (PD). Neurofilament light chain (NfL) have been reported to be higher in synucleinopathies as a sign of neurodegeneration. Objective: To evaluate whether plasma NfL is valuable in reflecting cognitive and motor status in iRBD and PD with a premorbid history of RBD (PDRBD), and predicting disease progression in iRBD. Methods: Thirty-one patients with iRBD, 30 with PDRBD, and 18 healthy controls were included in the cross-sectional and prospective study. Another cohort from the Parkinson’s Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) dataset was enrolled for verification analysis. All patients received evaluations of cognitive, motor, and autonomic function by a battery of clinical tests at baseline and follow-up. Blood NfL was measured by the Quanterix Simoa HD-1. Results: In our cohort, 26 patients with iRBD completed the follow-up evaluations, among whom eight (30.8%) patients displayed phenoconversion. Baseline plasma NfL cutoff value of 22.93 pg/mL performed best in distinguishing the iRBD converters from non-converters (sensitivity: 75.0%, specificity: 83.3%, area under the curve: 0.84). Cognitive and motor function were significantly correlated with NfL levels in PDRBD (correlation coefficients: –0.379, 0.399; respectively). Higher baseline NfL levels in iRBD were significantly associated with higher risks for cognitive, motor, autonomic function progression, and phenoconversion at follow-up (hazard ratios: 1.069, 1.065, 1.170, 1.065; respectively). The findings were supported by the PPMI dataset. Conclusion: Plasma NfL is valuable in reflecting disease severity of PDRBD and predicting disease progression and phenoconversion in iRBD.

Weakly Supervised Semantic Segmentation with image-level annotation uses localization maps from the classifier to generate pseudo labels. However, such localization maps focus only on sparse salient object regions, it is difficult to generate high-quality segmentation labels, which deviates from the requirement of semantic segmentation. To address this issue, we propose a dual-aware domain mining and cross-aware supervision (DDMCAS) method for weakly-supervised semantic segmentation. Specifically, we propose a dual-aware domain mining (DDM) module consisting of graph-based global reasoning unit and salient-region extension controller, which produces dense localization maps by exploring object features in salient regions and adjacent non-salient regions simultaneously. In order to further bridge the gap between salient regions and adjacent non-salient regions to generate more refined localization maps, we propose a cross-aware supervision (CAS) strategy to recover missing parts of the target objects and enhance weak attention in adjacent non-salient regions, leading to pseudo labels of higher quality for training the segmentation network. Based on the generated pseudo-labels, extensive experiments on PASCAL VOC 2012 dataset demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-the-art methods using image-level labels for weakly supervised semantic segmentation.

The development of e-commerce has greatly changed the development of social retail formats. Business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce model is important. Due to the characteristics of high consumer trust and commodities dominated by electronic products and brand commodities, the income and profits generated are also very considerable. Therefore, the major e-commerce giants have increased the development of B2C formats. Logistics service capability and level have become an important driving force for the development of B2C e-commerce. How to optimize the inventory of B2C e-commerce and realize the organic balance between the economy and service capacity of the whole logistics chain has become a very urgent problem faced by major e-commerce giants. From the perspective of big data, first, the overview of the dataset used is analyzed based on the real operation data of a business to consumer (B2C) e-commerce platform.

Many emerging cyber-physical systems, such as autonomous vehicles and robots, rely heavily on artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to perform important system operations. Since these highly parallel applications are computationally intensive, they need to be accelerated by graphics processing units (GPUs) to meet stringent timing constraints. However, despite the wide adoption of GPUs, efficiently scheduling multiple GPU applications while providing rigorous real-time guarantees remains a challenge. In this paper, we propose RTGPU, which can schedule the execution of multiple GPU applications in real-time to meet hard deadlines. Each GPU application can have multiple CPU execution and memory copy segments, as well as GPU kernels. We start with a model to explicitly account for the CPU and memory copy segments of these applications. We then consider the GPU architecture in the development of a precise timing model for the GPU kernels and leverage a technique known as persistent threads to implement fine-grained kernel scheduling with improved performance through interleaved execution. Next, we propose a general method for scheduling parallel GPU applications in real time. Finally, to schedule multiple parallel GPU applications, we propose a practical real-time scheduling algorithm based on federated scheduling and grid search (for GPU kernel segments) with uniprocessor fixed priority scheduling (for multiple CPU and memory copy segments). Our approach provides superior schedulability compared with previous work, and gives real-time guarantees to meet hard deadlines for multiple GPU applications according to comprehensive validation and evaluation on a real NVIDIA GTX1080Ti GPU system.

Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is a primary cause of cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Unfortunately, there is no approved drug treatment for NASH. AMP-activated kinase (AMPK) is an important metabolic sensor and whole-body regulator. It has been proposed that AMPK activators could be used for treating metabolic diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes and NASH. In this study, we screened a marine natural compound library by monitoring AMPK activity and found a potent AMPK activator, candidusin A (CHNQD-0803). Further studies showed that CHNQD-0803 directly binds recombinant AMPK with a KD value of 4.728 × 10–8 M and activates AMPK at both molecular and intracellular levels. We then investigated the roles and mechanisms of CHNQD-0803 in PA-induced fat deposition, LPS-stimulated inflammation, TGF-β-induced fibrosis cell models and the MCD-induced mouse model of NASH. The results showed that CHNQD-0803 inhibited the expression of adipogenesis genes and reduced fat deposition, negatively regulated the NF-κB-TNFα inflammatory axis to suppress inflammation, and ameliorated liver injury and fibrosis. These data indicate that CHNQD-0803 as an AMPK activator is a novel potential therapeutic candidate for NASH treatment.

This article combines the characteristics of educational practice and MOOC education, takes college English courses as an example, studies its application mechanism, builds a MOOC platform, and continuously enhances students' interest in learning English, aiming to provide a practical reference for the reform of Chinese college English education.

Rickettsia and Coxiella burnetii are zoonotic tick-borne pathogens that cause febrile illnesses in humans. Metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) is a new technology used to diagnose infectious diseases. However, clinical experience with applying the test to rickettsioses and Q fever is relatively limited. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the diagnostic performance of mNGS in detecting Rickettsia and C. burnetii. We retrospectively studied patients with rickettsioses or Q fever between August 2021 and July 2022. Peripheral blood mNGS and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) were performed for all patients. Clinical data were retrieved for analysis. Thirteen patients were included in this study (eleven confirmed cases and two suspected cases). Signs and symptoms included fever (13, 100%), rash (7, 53.8%), muscle soreness (5, 38.5%), headache (4, 30.8%), skin eschar (3, 23.1%), and disturbance of consciousness (2, 15.4%). In addition, eight patients (61.6%) had thrombocytopenia, ten (76.9%) had liver function impairment, and two (15.4%) had renal function impairment. The results of mNGS revealed seven patients with R. japonica (53.8%), five with C. burneti (38.5%), two with R. heilongjiangensis (15.4%), and one with R. honei (7.7%). PCR results were positive in 11 patients (84.6%). After receiving doxycycline-based treatment, 12 (92.3%) patients returned to a normal temperature within 72 h. All patients were discharged in better health. Therefore, mNGS can help diagnose Rickettsia and C. burnetii and shorten the diagnosis time, especially for patients with atypical clinical manifestations and unclear epidemiologic evidence of a tick bite or exposure.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a prevalent mental disease, but most people do not have enough interaction with individuals on the autism spectrum; they may learn about it through other resources like movies and television shows. Therefore, it is essential to ensure the veracity of ASD character portrayals on screen. Many previous researchers have analyzed the details of the representation of ASD in popular culture, but academic articles focusing only on a particular TV series are scarce. Thus, this research aims to analyze the differences between on-screen portrayals and realistic characters of ASD from the case study of The Good Doctor, which is popular in many countries. This study first records the specifics of ASD portrayals in this television series, then compares them to the DSM-5 criteria for ASD, determines whether these depictions can influence people's understanding, and concludes with suggestions for the depiction of ASD characters in film and TV. The results show that in The Good Doctor, ASD characters frequently tend to be highlighted savant skills and simultaneously represent the four symptoms of the second diagnostic criteria for ASD in DSM-5; besides, specific plot strands like unfortunate experiences tend to be set up. Therefore, to solve these problems, autistic characters can be included in some long-running and popular TV series to influence the public's views sustainably. More incidental ASD characters could also be encouraged to appear on screen to provide various characteristics of ASD. Besides, competent educators can also assist people in viewing these dramas in educational settings.

ObjectivesLittle is known about the immunology underlying variable treatment response in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). We performed large scale transcriptome analyses of peripheral blood immune cell subsets to identify immune cells that predict treatment resistance.MethodsWe isolated 18 peripheral blood immune cell subsets of 55 pre-treatment RA patients and 39 healthy controls, and performed RNA sequencing. Transcriptome changes in RA and treatment effects were systematically characterized. Association between immune cell gene modules and treatment resistance was evaluated. We validated predictive value of identified parameters for treatment resistance using quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and mass cytometric analysis cohorts. We also characterized the identified population by synovial single cell RNA-seq analysis.ResultsImmune cells of RA patients were characterized by enhanced interferon and IL6-JAK-STAT3 signaling that demonstrate partial normalization after treatment. A gene expression module of plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDC) reflecting the expansion of pre-dendritic cells (pre-DC) exhibited strongest association with treatment resistance. Type I interferon signaling was negatively correlated to pre-DC gene expression. qPCR and mass cytometric analysis in independent cohorts validated that the pre-DC associated gene expression and the proportion of pre-DC were significantly higher before treatment in treatment-resistant patients. A cluster of synovial DCs showed both features of pre-DC and proinflammatory conventional DC2s.ConclusionsAn increase in pre-DC in peripheral blood predicted RA treatment resistance. Entrepreneurship mentors are important external support for the success of first-time entrepreneurs. As the source of entrepreneurial vitality in China, it is necessary for college students to support and guide their entrepreneurship. Based on this, from the perspective of specific entrepreneurial activities, this paper discusses how entrepreneurial tutor support can help college students identify entrepreneurial opportunities, so as to stimulate college students' entrepreneurial vitality and improve their entrepreneurial success rate. In addition, based on the information processing theory, this study introduced self-esteem as a mediator to build a theoretical model of entrepreneurial mentor support behavior on college students' entrepreneurial opportunity recognition. 140 survey data show that entrepreneurial mentor support behavior has a significant positive impact on college students' entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and self-esteem plays a mediating role between the two. The research results are conducive to the government departments and universities to improve the entrepreneurship tutor system according to the actual situation, and stimulate the entrepreneurial passion of college students.

Its effect on IBD treatment was assessed from materials, cytology, bacteriology, and zoology perspectives.Results: The results demonstrated that the Van-ND-45S5 scaffold exhibited an excellent antibacterial effect, biocompatibility, and osteogenesis in vitro. Moreover, an efficient animal model of IBD was established, and a Van-ND-45S5 scaffold was implanted into the IBD. Radiographic and histological analyses and bone repair-related protein expression, confirmed that the Van-ND-45S5 scaffold had good biocompatibility and osteogenic and anti-infective activities in vivo.Conclusion: Collectively, our findings support that the Van-ND-45S5 scaffold is a promising new material and approach for treating IBD with good antibacterial effects, biocompatibility, and osteogenesis.Graphical Abstract: Keywords: antibacterial effect, nanodiamond, scaffold, infected bone defects

The aim is to improve small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)' core competitiveness and financing attainability using deep learning (DL) under economic globalization. Accordingly, this work constructs a supply chain symbiosis system based on DL, economics, and Stackelberg game theory following a status quo analysis of the financing status of SMEs. Afterward, a structural framework of supply chain financing (SCF) is designed. Further, it verifies the effectiveness of the proposed back propagation neural network (BPNN) credit evaluation model through specific enterprise data. The results show that the proposed internet of things (IoT)-based SCF SMEs-oriented BPNN credit evaluation model reaches a prediction accuracy of 91.4%. It effectively eliminates information asymmetry between banks and various capitals. As a result, banks can guarantee operation funds for the supply chain SMEs and help them minimize project risks by lowering financing leverage and through information transparency.

In order to evaluate the controlling effect of sandstone heterogeneity on oil-bearing difference in sandstone carrier bed, from the point of view of hydrocarbon accumulation dynamics, using the empirical relationship between porosity, permeability and displacement pressure, the displacement pressure of different sand bodies of the sandstone carrier bed in reservoir conditions is calculated. By comparing with the oil-water interpretation, the upper limit of reservoir displacement pressure in the north of Nanpu 4 structure is finally determined.
