EnglishThe essay, taking the cue from a recent Court of Cassation decision, focuses on the legitimacy of the collective clauses that constrain the employer's negotiating autonomy in the use of job-on-call where permitted by act of law or ministerial decrees. More generally, the A. investigates the necessary conditions so that the law can legitimately prevent collective autonomy from intervening on the balance of individual interests as set by the law itself.

La tesi sostenuta nel saggio e che il contrasto al lavoro irregolare e allo sfruttamento in agricoltura richiede, piu che un nuovo aggravamento dell’apparato sanzionatorio, una politica settoriale che induca le imprese a migliorare la propria produttivita e la propria posizione sul mercato attraverso gli investimenti anziche comprimendo illecitamente i costi diretti e indiretti del lavoro. Al fine di delineare alcuni elementi di una siffatta policy, pertanto, l’A. ricostruisce le dinamiche di potere nelle filiere produttive e nei rapporti di produzione procedendo altresi a una valutazione critica degli attuali assetti regolativi nazionali e regionali.

We report a case of arrhythmic storm in a patient with recent vaginal insertion of a device with release of levonorgestrel (synthetic progestin). A woman of 60 years was hospitalized for runs of monomorphic sustained ventricular tachycardia. She received a vaginal device levonorgestrel-releasing 2 days before admission. No history of associated cardiovascular or thyroid disease or risk factors was reported. Laboratory parameters as well as ECG and echocardiogram were normal. After 48 hours from removal of the vaginal device, the patient was asymptomatic and showed only single ectopic beats, sometimes in pairs. The subsequent coronary angiography, electrophysiological study and cardiac magnetic resonance resulted negative.

In his paper, Vito Pinto focuses on questions concerning different ways of listening in the theoretical framework of media and radio theory. This is the base for the analyses of three radio plays realised by Paul Plamper. Pinto concentrates on the different types of voices performing in these plays, as most voices and sounds were recorded on location resp. in realistic settings, particularly emerging from (theatrical) improvisation. He discusses specific ways of how spatiality and soundscapes are created and perceived in these plays and he shows how these works thus go far beyond traditional modes of radiophonic experience.

In this paper, Vito Pinto presents some general theories about how to perceive radio plays by focusing on the different listening modes. He then relates these ideas to three exemplary works of the German Hörspielmacher Paul Plamper. Moreover, he concentrates on the particular staging of the voices and the evolvement of the spatiality therein as being the key factors for an understanding of the listener’s perceptive and participatory process and its aesthetic impact.

BACKGROUND: beta-blockers in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) are indicated for patients without a contraindication, particularly in patients with high heart rates (HR) or blood pressures. Epidemiological studies have shown that elevated HR represents a risk factor for cardiovascular morbidity. The study investigates the feasibility, tolerability, and the effects after 30 days of follow-up of ivabradine (IVA) versus metoprolol (METO) in early phases of anterior STEMI reperfused by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Free-floating thrombus in the right ventricle, associated with a massive acute pulmonary embolism (PE), is a rare phenomenon. PE is an important clinical entity with considerable mortality despite advances in diagnosis and treatment. The prognosis of PE depends on right ventricular dysfunction, myocardial injury markers, and early treatment. In this report, we present the case of a 71-year-old woman with a history of breast cancer admitted to intensive care unit for PE complicated by syncope. Although our case may seem complex because it is not represented in the guidelines, the result was satisfactory and showed how treatment with new anticoagulants (in this case apixaban) after massive thrombolysis of PE could be considered and included in the new guidelines.

Stimme, Sprache und deren technische Realisierung gehen in unserer Wahrnehmung ein komplexes, mitunter prekäres Verhältnis miteinander ein. Im Zentrum der theaterwissenschaftlichen und medienästhetischen Studie von Vito Pinto stehen Analysen verschiedener Dimensionen, Funktions- und Wirkungsweisen mikrophonierter Stimmen. Ausgehend von aktuellen Inszenierungen aus Theater (Luk Perceval), Hörspiel (Paul Plamper) und Film (u.a. David Lynch, Gaspar Noé) leisten die theoretischen und empirischen Erörterungen zu Körperlichkeit, Räumlichkeit, Zeitlichkeit und Audiovisualität erstmals einen umfassenden, medienübergreifenden Beitrag zur Stimmforschung.

BACKGROUND AND AIM: In this study we addressed some open questions in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). First, we analysed which of the traditional risk factors was associated with the spreading of coronary stenosis and second, we aimed to identify if any variable was predictive of post-percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) clinical events. METHODS AND RESULTS: We collected a consecutive series of patients with CAD (n=301) and in the subgroup of patients undergoing PTCA (n=135) we performed a prospective one-year follow-up study recording cardiovascular morbidity and total mortality. According to the extension of coronary atherosclerosis, we found a significant relationship with the prevalence of diabetes in men and with plasma HDL-cholesterol concentrations in women. The follow-up was completed in 95% of patients; we did not document any death whereas clinical events were registered in 16% of patients. Il terzo approfondimento riguarda le dinamiche demografiche e migratorie nel periodo della pandemia. La chiusura delle frontiere decisa per contrastare la diffusione pandemica, e gli andamenti economici innescati dai provvedimenti di contenimento hanno avuto inevitabilmente conseguenze rilevanti sui movimenti migratori e sulla condizione dei migranti. Per la prima volta dopo tanti anni molti paesi dell’UE, tra cui l’Italia, hanno sperimentato un arresto dell’immigrazione. Per dare una dimensione del fenomeno, si consideri che nel corso del 2020 si sono registrate nell’UE quasi 227.500 richieste di asilo in meno rispetto al 2019 (-33%), con punte prossime all’86% nel mese di aprile. La contrazione assoluta più rilevante è stata registrata in Germania e Francia (rispettivamente -47.705 e -41.555), seguita da Italia (-15.135) e Spagna (-13.980). Nella misura in cui le rimesse effettuate dai migranti sono essenziali per i loro paesi di origine, tali blocchi potranno produrre effetti economici molto rilevanti in quei paesi. Per l’Italia, la contrazione migratoria del 2020 si associa ad un eccesso di mortalità dell’ordine di 110 mila unità rispetto alla media quinquennale passata, e ad un difetto di natalità di circa 51 mila unità, il che risulta in un saldo demografico negativo per 342 mila residenti. Per quanti già immigrati, si riscontra che la pandemia sia stata sofferta in misura maggiore rispetto agli autoctoni, nella diffusione della malattia, nella letalità registrata e negli effetti lavorativi ed economici. Con riferimento al mercato del lavoro degli immigrati, in generale, emerge che nell’insieme dei paesi UE la diminuzione più elevata del tasso di occupazione è avvenuta nel secondo trimestre del 2020, con una riduzione di 4,8 punti percentuali rispetto al valore registrato nello stesso trimestre del 2019. Il calo ha interessato soprattutto i paesi dell’Europa mediterranea dove per il Portogallo si è registrata un’importante contrazione pari a circa 10 punti percentuali. La maggiore sofferenza occupazionale degli immigrati risulta connessa sia alla loro più accentuata instabilità lavorativa, sia al loro impiego prevalente in settori che più di altri hanno risentito del lockdow (pulizie e turismo/ristorazione). Per quanto riguarda le misure di sostegno al reddito poste in essere, nel caso italiano lo strumento più utilizzato dagli immigrati non comunitari è il reddito di emergenza, di cui ne percepiscono il 18% delle erogazioni (124.012 individui), contro una quota di percezione del reddito di cittadinanza di circa il 7%. La maggiore incidenza si può spiegare certamente per i requisiti meno selettivi della prima misura, ma anche con il grave peggioramento della condizione occupazionale, e quindi economica, dei non comunitari nei mesi di chiusura forzata.
