International audience; When simulating complex physical phenomena such as aircraft icing or de-icing, several dedicated solvers often need to be strongly coupled. In this work, a non-overlapping Schwarz method is constructed with the unsteady simulation of de-icing as the targetted application. To do so, optimized coupling coefficients are first derived for the one dimensional unsteady heat equation with linear boundary conditions and for the steady heat equation with non-linear boundary conditions. The choice of these coefficients is shown to guarantee the convergence of the method. Using a linearization of the boundary conditions, the method is then extended to the case of a general unsteady heat conduction problem. The method is tested on simple cases and the convergence properties are assessed theoretically and numerically. Finally the method is applied to the simulation of an aircraft electrothermal de-icing problem in two dimensions.

National audience; La photocatalyse, à distinguer de la photo-électro-catalyse, permet de produire de l'hydrogène par photo-réduction de l'eau, tout en s'affranchissant de l'utilisation d'électrodes, d'un courant électrique, ou encore de l'utilisation d'un bain électrochimique. [1] Dans ce cadre, nous avons développé un dispositif de panneau solaire hydrogène (Figure 1a) assurant la transformation de l'eau liquide contenue dans le panneau en hydrogène sans la nécessité d'être raccordé au réseau électrique. [2-3] Le coeur actif du panneau hydrogène est constitué d'un matériau hybride photocatalytique innovant, qualifié de matériau triptyque du fait des trois composants le constituant (Figure 1b) : (1) un film mince semiconducteur de TiO 2 déposé par PVD ; (2) des nanoparticules d'Au ou Ag déposées par un procédé de photo-dépôt; [4] (3) Un film mince photosensible d'une macromolécule de type carbo-benzène (Cbz), présentant des propriétés uniques de conductivité sur molécule unique ( ~100 nS), [5] et d'absorption dans le visible ( = 131 000 L mol-1 cm-1) à max = 493 nm. [6] Nous observons une synergie de ~33% pour le matériau triptyque TiO 2 /Ag/Cbz par rapport à son analogue diptyque TiO 2 /Ag et démontrons qu'un lien entre le métal et le semiconducteur est d'importance primordiale pour exalter les propriétés photocatalytiques dans le cadre de films minces par analogie avec les nanopoudres. It is well known that gas dynamics equations may develop singularities,i.e., shock waves, at a finite time. The related discontinuous solutions are thus sought under a weak form which corresponds to the integral form of the underlying conservation laws of mass, momentum and total energy. Weak solutions being not uniquely defined, the physically relevant solution is singled out by means of an extra admissibility criterion termed entropy condition. In other words, this means that the solutions of gas dynamics equations have to be consistent with the second law of thermodynamics: for smooth flows entropy has to be conserved, whereas for non smooth flows, such as shock waves, it has to be dissipated ensuring the conversion of kinetic energy into internal energy. Bearing this in mind, the purpose of the present work is to address the thermodynamic consistency of cell-centered Finite Volume discretizations dedicated to the numerical simulation of Lagrangian hydrodynamics. Firstly, we describe explicitly a general procedure to construct affordable entropy conservative numerical fluxes, extending Tadmor’s work to the Lagrangian framework. Secondly, the entropy stability of these fluxes enhanced by proper dissipation operators is investigated. Then, a multi-dimensional extension of this work is explored. Finally, these theoretical studies are assessed by various numerical experiments.

In the framework of HAIC European project, a capability for modeling glaciated and mixed-phase ice accretion has been added to IGLOO2D, the new ONERA 2D icing suite. A first set of models has been introduced for taking into account physical phenomena which are generally not considered for classical icing conditions: particle shape influence on the drag force, heat exchange between air and particles, melting and evaporation phenomena, complex particle interactions with dry and wetted walls, liquid film dynamics, influence of ice crystals on energy balance ... To assess this new capability, test cases have been performed for mixed-phase ice accretion using results from the NASA-NRC experimental database 3,4 . The aim of the present paper is to propose a general methodology for the numerical modelling of both anti and de-icing systems. A lubrication model is used for dealing with the dynamics of the runback water film. As regards thermal effects, in order to take into account heat conduction and unsteadiness, a parabolic temperature profile is assumed with respect to the normal coordinate for the ice layer. Heat transfers in the airfoil solid structure are described using a dedicated solver based on the unsteady heat conduction equation. The most original contribution of this work is the new technique (herein referred to as the "improved Schwarz method") which is proposed for coupling in a robust way the accretion-runback model and the solid heat conduction model. This new coupling algorithm allows to ensure fast convergence of both temperature and heat flux at the coupling interface (airfoil outer surface) and can be used either for steady state computations (anti-icing mode) or unsteady computations (de-icing mode). Numerical test cases which have been performed so far are very promising and show the relevance of this new approach for real applications and 3D extension.

The manuscript deals with the design, synthesis and study of optical properties of one- and two-photon absorption in a series of organic chromophores with extended pi-conjugated systems of the carbo-mers family, based on preliminary results obtained by the group for quadrupolar carbo-benzenes with fluorenyl substituents. The phenomenon of two-photon absorption (A2P) presenting a wide range of applications in various fields such as dynamic phototherapy, data storage, microfabrication or optical limitation, it has been the subject of numerous investigations which have allowed the establishment of structure-property relationships (SPRs) for the development of efficient systems, for which carbo-benzene derivatives meet several criteria a priori. Within the framework of this thesis, the work mainly concerns the synthesis and characterization of dipolar, quadrupolar and octupolar functional carbo-benzenes. The study of linear and non-linear optical properties of the isolated "carbo-chromophore" targets, performed in collaboration with Gabriel Ramos-Ortiz, CIO, Mexico, is also presented. The first chapter, bibliographical in nature, is divided into two parts. The first one presents the state of the art in nonlinear optics, in particular at the 3rd order for two photon absorption (A2P). The applications of A2P, techniques of cross-section measurement, and RSPs for the design of efficient chromophores are detailed. The second part provides a state of the art on carbo-meric molecules by giving an overview of their synthesis and properties. The second chapter describes results on the preparation and study of quadrupolar carbo- benzenes. It is divided into three parts. The first one describes the preparation of trifluorotolyl-substituted carbo-benzenes as well as the study of their properties of one-photon absorption, solubility, electro-chemical reductibility (by voltammetry) and self-assembly on surface (by STM imaging). The second part presents the synthesis and comparative study of one- and two-photon absorption properties of bis-dialkylthienylethynyl-carbo-benzenes and their parent molecule with a simple benzene core, the optical properties having been studied in collaboration with Gabriel Ramos-Ortiz. The third part envisages chromophores with a diketopyrrolopyrrole core, a classical chromophoric unit in A2P, aiming at the ultimate synthesis of derivatives with two carbo-benzene substituents. The third chapter focuses on the development of a new route for the synthesis of octupolar carbo-benzenes based on a novel macrocyclization strategy of the [6 + 6 + 6] type, the objective remaining to study of A2P properties of the targets. Three carbo-benzenes, with three fluorenylethynyl or dialkylthienylethynyl substituents were thus prepared and characterized. The fourth chapter addresses the challenge of the synthesis of dipolar carbo-benzenes carrying donor substituents (of 4-alkoxy- or 4-amino-phenyl type) and acceptor (of 4-nitro or 4-cyano-phenyl type) in para positions. The different synthesis strategies that have been envisaged and the obtained results are detailed.; Le manuscrit traite de la conception, la synthèse et l'étude des propriétés optiques d'absorption à un et deux photons d'une série de chromophores organiques à systèmes pi-conjugués étendus de la famille des carbo-mères, en s'appuyant sur des résultats préliminaires obtenus par l'équipe avec des carbo-benzènes quadripolaires à substituants fluorényles. Le phénomène d'absorption à deux photons (A2P) présentant une large gamme d'applications dans divers domaines tels que la photothérapie dynamique, le stockage de données, la microfabrication ou la limitation optique, il a fait l'objet de nombreuses études qui ont permis de définir des relations structure-propriétés (RSP) pour l'élaboration de systèmes efficaces, pour lesquelles des dérivés carbo-benzéniques répondent à plusieurs critères a priori. Le travail réalisé dans le cadre de cette thèse concerne essentiellement la synthèse et la caractérisation de carbo-benzènes dipolaires, quadripolaires et octupolaires fonctionnels. L'étude des propriétés optiques linéaires et non-linéaires des cibles "carbo-chromophores" isolées, réalisée en collaboration avec Gabriel Ramos-Ortiz, CIO, Mexique, est également présentée. Le premier chapitre, bibliographique, est divisé en deux parties. La première présente l'état de l'art en optique non linéaire, en particulier du 3ème ordre pour l'absorption à deux photons (A2P). Les applications de l'A2P, les techniques de mesures de section efficace et les RSP pour la conception de chromophores efficaces y sont détaillées. La deuxième partie dresse un état de l'art sur les molécules carbo-mères en détaillant leur synthèse et leurs propriétés. Le deuxième chapitre décrit des résultats de préparation et d'étude de carbo-benzènes quadripolaires. Il est divisé en trois parties. La première décrit la préparation de carbo-benzènes à substituants trifluorotolyle ainsi que l'étude de leurs propriétés d'absorption à un photon, de solubilité, d'accepteur d'électrons (par voltammétrie) et d'auto-assemblage sur surface (par imagerie STM). La deuxième partie présente la synthèse et l'étude comparative des propriétés d'absorption à un et deux photons de bis-dialkylthiényléthynyl-carbo-benzènes et de leur molécule parente à cœur simplement benzénique, les propriétés optiques ayant été étudiées en collaboration avec Gabriel Ramos-Ortiz. La troisième partie envisage des chromophores à cœur dicétopyrrolopyrrole, un motif chromophore classique en A2P, en vue de la synthèse de dérivés à deux substituants carbo-benzéniques. Le troisième chapitre se concentre sur la mise au point d'une nouvelle voie de synthèse de carbo-benzènes octupolaires faisant intervenir une stratégie de macrocyclisation inédite de type [6+6+6], l'objectif restant l'étude des propriétés d'A2P des cibles. Trois carbo-benzènes, à trois substituants fluorényléthynyle ou dialkylthiényléthynyle ont ainsi été préparés et caractérisés. Le quatrième chapitre aborde le défi de la synthèse de carbo-benzènes dipolaires portant des substituants donneurs (de type 4-alkoxy- ou 4-amino-phényles) et accepteurs (de type 4-nitro ou 4-cyano-phényles) en positions para. Les différentes stratégies de synthèse envisagées et les résultats obtenus sont détaillés.

The manuscript is divided into six chapters and two independent parts, the first part being dedicated to the investigation of the effect of nitro substituents on aromatic phosphine ligands (L). A series of (N-phenyl-benzimidazol-1-yl) diphenylphosphines substituted with 1 to 3 nitro groups at different positions of the N-phenyl and benzimidazolyl cores, were synthesized, and compared with the non-nitrated parent and cationic N-methyl-benzimidazolium counterpart. In the corresponding trans-L2RhICl(CO) complexes, prepared in two steps and fully characterized, moderate but systematic variations of the C=O IR stretching frequency and 103Rh NMR chemical shift provide an empirical quantification of regio-specific effects of the nitro-substituents on the global donating character of the P-ligand. Dinuclear (µ-CO)(LRhCl)2 side-products were shown to give unique clathrate crystals with a high content (6.7:1) of dichloromethane solvate. The second part, gathering five chapters, concerns the study of new types of highly p-conjugated carbo-mers, primarily devised to palliate the limiting poor solubility of the aromatic C18 carbo-benzene core. The synthesis and characterization of reference hexaaryl-carbo-benzenes are revisited. An improved 12-step synthetic route to the long known hexaphenyl derivative and p-bis-3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl homologue is described. Both carbo-benzenes were fully characterized, in particular by X-ray diffraction analysis and electrochemistry. Their use in organic photovoltaic solar-cells was found to be hampered by their very low solubility preventing the formation of high quality thin films. The third chapter focusses on a series of p-dialkyl-tetraphenyl-carbo-benzenes with two aliphatic chains R = CnH2n+1, n = 2, 4, 8, 14, 20. The synthetic route based on nucleophilic addition of RMgBr to a key [6]pericyclynedione ultimately led to both the dialkyl- and reduced mono-alkyl-carbo-benzenes, the reduction process being found suppressed by using a RLi/CeCl3 reactant. A dramatic enhancement of solubility in chlorinated solvents was observed for n = 8. A direct p-p stacking of C18 rings, driven by aliphatic dispersions forces, could be evidenced for the first time in the X-ray crystal structure of the bis-tetradecyl derivative, giving experimental support to the existence of the a-graphityne 3D carbon allotrope (putative carbo-mer of graphite). The fourth chapter describes two trialkoxyarylethynyl-tetraphenyl-carbo-benzenes and the study of the mesogen properties of one of them. A columnar rectangular mesophase, evidenced at 115 oC by DSC, POM and PXRD analyses, opens prospects for a systematic study of related liquid crystals. The 3D lattice constants are consistent with 2D STM images of the carbo-mesogen deposited on HOPG. The fifth chapter reports on three skeletal carbo-mers of bis- and ter-phenyls, devised for their acquaintance with OPP or OPE molecular wires. A carbo-terphenyl was found to exhibit a very low first reduction potential (-0.39 V/SCE), unprecedented in the carbo-mer series. In the last chapter, new types of carbo-mers are exemplified: carbo-barrelenes and carbo-stilbenes. Their preparation relies on the addition of triyne dinucleophiles to either one or two equivalents of a [6]pericyclyne(di)one precursor. In the tricyclic series, two non-macroaromatic carbo-barrelenes and one partially reduced bis-butatrienic derivative, both containing two sp3-C bridgeheads, were found to be sufficiently stable to allow full characterization, including by crystallography. The cage-ability of a carbo-barrelene toward small molecules such as NH4+, albeit not clearly proven yet, was investigated both theoretically and experimentally. The carbo-stilbene product was evidenced as an unseparated mixture of two isomers. Le troisième chapitre porte sur une série de p-dialkyl-tétraphényl-carbo-benzènes à deux chaînes aliphatiques R = CnH2n +1, n = 2, 4, 8, 14, 20. Leur synthèse basée sur l'addition nucléophile de RMgBr sur la [6]péricyclynedione clé conduit à la fois aux dialkyl- et mono-alkyl-carbo-benzènes réduits, le processus de réduction étant supprimé en utilisant un réactif RLi/CeCl3. Une augmentation spectaculaire de la solubilité dans les solvants chlorés a été observée pour n = 8. Un empilement p-p direct des cycles en C18, guidé par les forces de dispersions aliphatiques, a été montré pour la première fois dans la structure cristalline du dérivé bis-tétradécyle, appuyant l'existence de l'allotrope du carbone 3D ?-graphityne (carbo-mère putatif du graphite). Le quatrième chapitre décrit deux trialkoxyaryléthynyl-tétraphényl-carbo-benzènes et l'étude des propriétés mésogènes de l'un d'entre eux. Une mésophase rectangulaire colonnaire, mise en évidence à 115 °C par des analyses DSC, POM et PXRD, ouvre des perspectives pour une étude systématique des cristaux liquides apparentés. Les constantes du réseau 3D sont cohérentes avec les images STM 2D du carbo-mésogène sur HOPG. Le cinquième chapitre décrit trois carbo-mères de squelette de bis- et ter-phényles, conçus pour leur relation aux fils moléculaires OPP ou OPE. Un carbo-terphényle a montré un très faible potentiel de réduction (-0,39 V/SCE), sans précédent en série carbo-mère. Dans le dernier chapitre, de nouveaux types de carbo-mères sont illustrés: les carbo-barrélènes et les carbo-stilbènes. Leur préparation repose sur l'addition de triyne dinucléophiles sur un ou deux équivalents d'un précurseur [6]péricyclyne (di)one. Dans la série tricyclique, deux carbo-barrélènes non macro-aromatiques et un dérivé bis-butatriénique partiellement réduit, se sont révélés suffisamment stables pour permettre une caractérisation complète, y compris par cristallographie. Le rôle de cage d'un carbo-barrélène vis-à-vis de petites molécules telles que NH4+, même si elle n'a pas encore été clairement établie, a été étudiée théoriquement et expérimentalement. Les carbo-stilbènes ont été obtenus sous forme de mélanges. En l'absence d'analyse cristallographique, ils ont été attribués aux diastéréoisomères cis et trans sur la base de la spectroscopie RMN 1H et des calculs DFT.

Les deux carbo-benzènes ont été entièrement caractérisés, en particulier par analyse par diffraction des rayons X et par électrochimie. Leur utilisation dans les cellules solaires photovoltaïques organiques s'est avérée freinée par leur faible solubilité empêchant la formation de couches minces de haute qualité. Le troisième chapitre porte sur une série de p-dialkyl-tétraphényl-carbo-benzènes à deux chaînes aliphatiques R = CnH2n +1, n = 2, 4, 8, 14, 20. Leur synthèse basée sur l'addition nucléophile de RMgBr sur la [6]péricyclynedione clé conduit à la fois aux dialkyl- et mono-alkyl-carbo-benzènes réduits, le processus de réduction étant supprimé en utilisant un réactif RLi/CeCl3. Une augmentation spectaculaire de la solubilité dans les solvants chlorés a été observée pour n = 8. Un empilement p-p direct des cycles en C18, guidé par les forces de dispersions aliphatiques, a été montré pour la première fois dans la structure cristalline du dérivé bis-tétradécyle, appuyant l'existence de l'allotrope du carbone 3D ?-graphityne (carbo-mère putatif du graphite). Le quatrième chapitre décrit deux trialkoxyaryléthynyl-tétraphényl-carbo-benzènes et l'étude des propriétés mésogènes de l'un d'entre eux. Une mésophase rectangulaire colonnaire, mise en évidence à 115 °C par des analyses DSC, POM et PXRD, ouvre des perspectives pour une étude systématique des cristaux liquides apparentés. Les constantes du réseau 3D sont cohérentes avec les images STM 2D du carbo-mésogène sur HOPG. Le cinquième chapitre décrit trois carbo-mères de squelette de bis- et ter-phényles, conçus pour leur relation aux fils moléculaires OPP ou OPE. Un carbo-terphényle a montré un très faible potentiel de réduction (-0,39 V/SCE), sans précédent en série carbo-mère. Dans le dernier chapitre, de nouveaux types de carbo-mères sont illustrés: les carbo-barrélènes et les carbo-stilbènes. Leur préparation repose sur l'addition de triyne dinucléophiles sur un ou deux équivalents d'un précurseur [6]péricyclyne (di)one. Dans la série tricyclique, deux carbo-barrélènes non macro-aromatiques et un dérivé bis-butatriénique partiellement réduit, se sont révélés suffisamment stables pour permettre une caractérisation complète, y compris par cristallographie. Le rôle de cage d'un carbo-barrélène vis-à-vis de petites molécules telles que NH4+, même si elle n'a pas encore été clairement établie, a été étudiée théoriquement et expérimentalement. Les carbo-stilbènes ont été obtenus sous forme de mélanges. En l'absence d'analyse cristallographique, ils ont été attribués aux diastéréoisomères cis et trans sur la base de la spectroscopie RMN 1H et des calculs DFT.

The project developed during this PhD thesis aims at the synthesis and reactivity of phosphorus ligands with weak s-donor and strong p-acceptor properties. They correspond to phosphine ligands featuring a cationic charge in a position of the phosphorus atom. The cationic charge can be introduced alternatively through an amidinium or a cyclopropenium moiety affording amidinio- and cyclopropeniophosphines, respectively. In the first chapter, after a bibliographical section, the synthesis of di-imidazolo- and di-imidazoliophosphines with aryl, alkyl and dialkylamino P-substituents is described. The study of the reactivity of these phosphine ligands towards metallic (or not) Lewis acids demonstrates that the nature of the P-substituent influences dramatically the corresponding coordination properties. Various cationic metal complexes and phosphine oxides are obtained and fully characterized. The second chapter of the thesis is focused on the development of chiral a-cationic phosphines. Two different cases are considered: cationic phosphines with electrostatic chirality where steric effects may be neglected and cationic phosphines with predominant steric chirality. In both cases, despite electron-poor character, these phosphines were shown to coordinate various transition metal centers. In the case of phosphines featuring electrostatic chirality, a representative was isolated in an optically pure form through the use of chiral orthometallated palladium(II) complexes as resolving agents. Finally, the third chapter concerns the development of imidazolyl carbon ligands and the corresponding complexes. In order to balance the electron-richness of the anionic imidazolyl donor extremity, an electron-poor phosphorus coordinating end, namely an imidazolophosphine is introduced. In the rhodium(I) series, two chelating complexes of these hybrid 'rich-poor' carbon-phosphorus ligands have been isolated and characterized.; Les travaux réalisés au cours de cette thèse sont centrés sur la synthèse et la réactivité de ligands phosphorés à caractère faiblement s-donneur et fortement p-accepteur. Il s'agit de ligands phosphines présentant une charge cationique en position a de l'atome de phosphore. Cette charge positive est amenée alternativement par un fragment amidinium ou bien cyclopropénium, conduisant respectivement aux amidinio- et cyclopropéniophosphines. Ces travaux sont présentés en trois chapitres. Dans le premier chapitre, après un partie bibliographique, nous avons décrit la synthèse de di-imidazolo- et di-imidazoliophosphines diversement P-substituées par des groupements aryle, alkyle et di(alkyl)amino. L'étude de la réactivité de ces ligands vis-à-vis d'acides de Lewis métalliques ou non a permis de démontrer que la nature du substituant porté par l'atome de phosphore influençait de façon critique les propriétés de coordination. Divers complexes métalliques et oxydes de phosphines ont été ainsi obtenus et entièrement caractérisés. Dans le deuxième chapitre, nous nous sommes intéressés à la préparation de phosphines a-cationiques chirales. Deux cas distincts ont été ainsi considérés : des phosphines cationiques à chiralité électrostatique dans lesquelles l'effet électrostatique prime sur l'effet stérique et des phosphines cationiques à chiralité stérique dans lesquelles l'effet stérique est cette fois-ci prédominant. Il a été démontré qu'en dépit des effets électroniques et stériques présents, ces phosphines étaient capables de se coordiner à un centre métallique. Divers complexes de métaux de transition de ces phosphines P-chirogènes ont été ainsi préparés et entièrement caractérisés. Dans le cas des phosphines à chiralité électrostatique, une version énantiopure a été isolée grâce à l'utilisation d'un complexe de palladium(II) orthométallé optiquement actif comme agent de dédoublement. Le troisième chapitre est axé sur le développement de ligands carbonés anioniques fortement donneurs de type imidazolyle et de leurs complexes. Afin de contre-balancer l'extrémité carbonée donneuse, une partie phosphorée acceptrice de type imidazolophosphine a été introduite. En série rhodium(I), deux complexes de ces ligands chélatants hybrides phospho-carbonés ont été ainsi isolés et caractérisés.

Following numerous illustrations and validations at the fundamental level, the chemistry of carbo-meric molecules was recently directed towards functional targets in terms of application prospects (molecular "carbo-materials'). Such carbon-expanded molecules have indeed recently been shown to exhibit remarkable properties in the areas of single molecule conductivity (SMC) or two-photon absorption efficiency (TPA). The consideration of target of fundamentally "new types" remains necessary in view of the study of new properties as well. The work described in this manuscript focus mainly on results concerning the synthesis of carbo-quinoids and carbo-benzenoids, two types of carbo-meric structures that had not been considered hitherto. The first chapter is a bibliographic summary describing the synthesis and properties of carbo-meric molecules, either aromatic or, more generally, highly pi-conjugated (carbo-benzenes, carbo-cyclohexadienes, carbo-oligoacetylenes...) The second chapter focuses on the complete study of the three regioisomers, "ortho", "para" and "meta" of tetraphenyl-carbo-benzene, the first two representatives having been partly described previously. The third chapter describes the synthesis and study of the first example of carbo-quinoid and its reversible redox transformation to carbo-benzenes, illustrating the "redox pro-aromaticity" of carbo-quinoid with respect to their oxidized carbo-benzenic analogues. The fourth and final chapter is devoted to the synthesis and study of a carbo-benzenoid, carbo-naphthalene, which can be regarded as the smallest condensed polycyclic fragment of alpha-graphyne, a material widely studied at the theoretical level but remaining unknown experimentally to date. The physicochemical and spectroscopic properties of carbo-naphthalene are compared to that of the corresponding monocyclic carbo-benzene, the synthesis of which is also detailed.; A la suite de nombreuses illustrations et validations au niveau fondamental, la chimie de molécules carbo-mères s'est récemment orientée vers des cibles fonctionnelles en termes de perspectives d'applications (" carbo-matériaux " moléculaires). C'est ainsi que de telles molécules expansées en carbone ont récemment montré des propriétés remarquables dans les domaines de la conductivité sur molécule unique (SMC) ou de l'absorption à deux photons (TPA). La considération de cibles de types fondamentalement nouveaux " reste cependant nécessaire en préliminaire à l'étude de propriétés nouvelles aussi. Le travail décrit dans ce manuscrit présente essentiellement les résultats concernant la synthèse de carbo-quinoïdes et de carbo-benzénoïdes, deux types de structures carbo-mères qui n'avaient jamais été envisagées expérimentalement auparavant. Le premier chapitre est un résumé bibliographique décrivant notamment la synthèse et les propriétés de molécules carbo-mères aromatiques, et plus généralement hautement pi-conjuguées (carbo-benzènes, carbo-cyclohexadiènes, carbo-oligoacétylènes...) Le second chapitre porte sur l'étude complète des trois régioisomères, " ortho ", " para ", et " meta " du tétraphényl-carbo-benzène, dont les deux premiers représentants avaient été partiellement décrits. Le troisième chapitre décrit la synthèse et l'étude du premier exemple de carbo-quinoïde, ainsi que sa transformation rédox réversible en carbo-benzènes, illustrant ainsi la " pro-aromaticité redox " des carbo-quinoïdes vis-à-vis de leurs analogues oxydés carbo-benzènes. Le quatrième et dernier chapitre est consacré à la synthèse et l'étude d'un carbo-benzénoïde, le carbo-naphtalène, pouvant être considéré comme le plus petit fragment polycyclique condensé d'alpha-graphyne, un matériau largement étudié au niveau théorique mais encore inconnu expérimentalement à ce jour. Les propriétés physico-chimiques et spectroscopiques de carbo-naphtalène sont comparées à celle du carbo-benzène monocyclique correspondant, dont la synthèse est aussi détaillée.

The first part of the work thesis concerns the synthesis of heterocycles with an azo (N2) pattern based on a pallado-catalyzed key step. It has been shown that two families of dinitrogen heterocycles were selectively accessible from the same precursors, namely C-homo-allylic hydrazones. Mono-unsaturated five-membered rings pyrazolines or six-membered tetrahydropyridazines were thus prepared by N-vinylation or N-allylation through CH-oxidative intramolecular reaction catalyzed by palladium(II) complexes with phosphine ligands. It was shown that the outcome of the process depends on the basicity of the ionic ligands (of type X) of the palladium(II) salt precursor of the catalytic species. The use of Pd(OAc)2 was thus found to promote the formation of 6-methylidene-1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyridazines via a 6-endo/exo-trig process, while a more electrophilic complex [Pd(MeCN)2X2]; X = OTs, OTf, lead to 5-vinylpyrazolines via a 5-exo trig process. The particular efficiency of weakly donating ligands such as the imidazolophosphine "BIPHIMIP" has been highlighted here. The obtained 5-vinylpyrazolines and 1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyridazines were then selectively derivatized to their respective aromatic analogues, namely 5-vinylpyrazoles and 6-methylpyridazines, through a sequential isomerization-elimination process. Application of this synthesis method to di- and tri- C-homo-allylic hydrazone substrated allowed access to tri- or tetra-aromatic systems, in particular to poly-pyridazine analogues of terphenyls or triphenylbenzenes whose absorption and fluorescence properties have been systematically studied. The second part of the thesis is focused on the study of novel phosphorus ligands with "extreme" donor character. In particular, imidazolo- and cyclopropenio-phosphine ligands with a particularly weak donor character have been synthetized. In the neutral series, mono-, di- and tri-imidazolophosphines have been characterized and used in catalysis of allylic C-H bond functionalisation for the preparation of azo-heterocycles described in the first part. In the cationic series, two types of cyclopropeniophosphines were prepared: the bis-diisopropylamino-cyclopropenio(hydroxymethyl) phosphines and the bis-diisopropylamino-(dicyclopropenio)phosphines, obtained by reaction of a dichlorophosphine with a free carbene of the cyclopropenylidene type. The reactivity and coordination chemistry of the latter cationic ligands with transition metals (Pd, Rh, Au, Cu) were then studied. In the bis-diisopropylamino(dicyclopropenio)-P-tert-butyl series, a dicationic tetranuclear complex of palladium with two phosphido ligands was isolated. The elimination of the P-tert-butyl substituent was attributed to a strong electrostatic constraint within the complex. Finally, when trying to access novel electron-rich phosphonium ylides C-substituted by a cyclopropenyl moiety, an original rearrangement was observed. Vinylphosphoniums C-substituted by a four-membered heterocycle of the azetidine type have thus been obtained and fully characterized.; La première partie des travaux présentés dans ce mémoire concerne la synthèse d'hétérocycles à motifs azo (N2) fondée sur une étape clef pallado-catalysée. Il a ainsi été démontré que deux familles d'hétérocycles diazotés étaient sélectivement accessibles à partir de précurseurs communs : des hydrazones C-homo-allyliques. Des cycles mono-insaturés à cinq chaînons de type pyrazoline ou à six chaînons de type tétrahydropyridazine ont été ainsi préparés par réaction de N-vinylation ou N-allylation CH-oxydante intramoléculaire catalysée par des complexes de palladium(II) à ligands phosphines. Il a été montré que l'issue du processus est fonction de la basicité des ligands ioniques (de type X) du sel de palladium(II) précurseur de l'espèce catalytique. L'utilisation de Pd(OAc)2 favorise ainsi la formation de 6-methylidène-1,4,5,6-tétrahydropyridazines via un processus 6-endo/exo trig, alors qu'un complexe plus électrophile [Pd(MeCN)2]X2; X = OTs, OTf conduit aux 5-vinylpyrazolines suivant un processus 5-exo trig. L'efficacité particulière des ligands faiblement donneurs tels que l'imidazolophosphine " BIPHIMIP " a été ici mis en évidence. Les 5-vinylpyrazolines et les 1,4,5,6-tétrahydropyridazines obtenues ont ensuite été sélectivement transformées en leurs dérivés aromatiques respectifs, à savoir des 5-vinylpyrazoles et 6-méthylpyridazines, selon un processus d'isomérisation-élimination séquentiel. L'application de cette méthode de synthèse à des substrats di- et tri-hydrazones C-homo-allyliques a permis d'accéder à des systèmes tri- ou tétra-aromatiques, en particulier à des pyridazylbenzènes analogues des terphényles ou triphénylbenzènes dont les propriétés électroniques d'absorption et de fluorescence ont été systématiquement étudiées. La deuxième partie de ce mémoire est consacrée à l'étude de nouveaux ligands phosphorés à caractère donneur " extrême " tels que des ligands imidazolo- et cyclopropénio-phosphines à caractère donneur particulièrement faible. En série neutre, des ligands mono-, di- et tri-imidazolophosphines ont ainsi été caractérisés et utilisés en catalyse de fonctionnalisation de liaisons CH allyliques pour la préparation d'azo-hétérocycles décrite dans la 1ère partie. En série cationique, des cyclopropéniophosphines de deux types ont été préparées : des bis-diisopropylamino-cyclopropénio(hydroxy)phosphines et des bis-diisopropylamino(dicyclopropénio)phosphines, obtenues par réactions d'une dichloro-phosphine avec un carbène libre de type cyclopropénylidène. La réactivité et la chimie de coordination avec des métaux de transition (Pd, Rh, Au, Cu, Pt) de ces ligands cationiques a été ensuite étudiée. En série bis-diisopropylamino(dicyclopropénio)-P-ter-butyle, un complexe tétranucléaire de palladium dicationique comportant deux ligands phosphido a été isolé. L'élimination du P-substituant ter-butyle a été attribuée à une forte contrainte électrostatique présente au sein du complexe. Enfin, lors de la tentative d'accès à de nouveaux ylures de phosphonium C-substitués par un motif cyclopropényle, un réarrangement original a été observé. Des vinylphosphoniums C-substitués par un hétérocycle à quatre chaînons de type azétidine ont été ainsi obtenus et entièrement caractérisés.
