Buildings are considered to have significant emission reduction potential. Residential building carbon emissions, as the most significant type of building-related carbon emissions, represent a crucial factor in achieving both carbon peak and carbon neutrality targets for China. Based on carbon emission data from Henan Province, a large province located in central China, between 2010 and 2020, this study employed the Kaya-LMDI decomposition method to analyze seven driving factors of carbon emission evolution, encompassing energy, population, and income, and assessed the historical reduction in CO2 emissions from residential buildings. Then, by integrating Kaya identity static analysis with Monte Carlo dynamic simulation, various scenarios were established to infer the future evolution trend, peak time, and potential for carbon emission reduction in residential buildings. The analysis results are as follows: (1) The carbon emissions of residential buildings in Henan exhibited a rising trend from 2010 to 2020, albeit with a decelerating growth rate. (2) Per capita household disposable income is the main driving factor for the increase in carbon emissions, but the household housing purchase index inhibits most of the growth of carbon emissions for the residential buildings in Henan, with the total carbon emission reduction of residential buildings reaches 106.42 million tons of CO2 during the research period. (3) During the period from 2020 to 2050, residential buildings in Henan Province will exhibit an “inverted U-shaped” trend in carbon emissions under the three static scenarios. The base scenario predicts that carbon emissions will reach their peak of 131.66 million tons in 2036, while the low-carbon scenario forecasts a peak of 998.8 million tons in 2030 and the high-carbon scenario projects a peak of 138.65 million tonnes in 2041. (4) Under the dynamic simulation scenario, it is anticipated that residential buildings in Henan Province will reach their carbon peak in 2036 ± 3 years, with a corresponding carbon emission of 155.34 million tons. This study can serve as a valuable reference for the future development of low-carbon pathways within the building sector.

Background: Cancer is one of the top two leading causes of death worldwide. Ethnobotanical research, it is one of methods, which is able to discover effective anticancer drugs based on “prototype” of indigenous people’s historical experiences and practices. The rhizomes of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis (Franch.) Hand.-Mazz. have been used as botanical drugs to treat cancer by Yi, Bai, Dai, and Naxi ethnic groups in Yunnan, China, where this species is widely cultivated in a large scale in Yunnan.Materials and methods: To identify the substances of anticancer activities based on indigenous medicine knowledge, chromatography was performed to separate saponins from the rhizomes of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis, followed by spectroscopy to determine the structure of six isolated saponins. The cytotoxicity of five extracts and six pure compounds were evaluated by MTS method. Quantitative determination of total saponins of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis was analyzed by HPLC. Cell cycle assay, apoptosis assay, and mitochondrial membrane potential were used to evaluate the pro-apoptotic activity in vitro.Results: Five extracts and six pure saponins showed significant inhibitory cytotoxic activities of three human liver cancer cell lines (SMMC-7721, HepG2, and SK-HEP-1) and one non-small-cell lung cancer cell line (A549). The contents of Paris saponins I, II, and VII were 6.96% in the rhizomes of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis, much higher than Chinese Pharmacopoeia standards (0.6%). Six saponins induced significant apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in three human cancer cell lines (A549, SMMC-7721, and HepG2), which was associated with the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential.Conclusion: The result of this study support that cultivated P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis could be a substitute for wild resource as an anticancer medicine based on indigenous medicine knowledge.

Steroidal saponins, important natural organic compounds in Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis, have good biological activity. Structural modification of steroidal saponins by microbial transformation could produce a large number of products with novel structures and excellent bioactivity, which can provide functional compounds for the research and development of steroidal drugs. This study summarized the research progress in steroidal saponins and their microbial transformation in P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis. P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis contains 112 steroidal saponins, 8 of which are used as substrates in 35 transformation reactions by 25 microbial species, with the highest transformation rate of 95%. Diosgenin is the most frequently used substrate. Furthermore, the strains, culture medium, reaction conditions, transformation rate, transformation reaction characteristics, and biological activities of the transformed products were summarized. This review may provide reference for the further research on microbial transformation of steroidal saponins in P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis.

The present study established an RP-HPLC method for simultaneous determination of two active components in Qingfei Paidu Granules and investigated the transfer rates of neohesperidin and naringin in the preparation process to provide references for improving the quality control standard and production of Qingfei Paidu Granules.RP-HPLC was performed on a YMC Triart C_(18) column(4.6 mm×150 mm, 5 μm)with column temperature of 30 ℃, acetonitrile(A) and 0.2% phosphoric acid solution(B) as mobile phases for gradient elution at a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min~(-1) and detection wavelength of 284 nm.Good linearity was observed for naringin at 0.10-1.0 μg(R~2=0.999 9) and neohesperidin at 0.12-1.2 μg(R~2=0.999 9).The average recovery of naringin was 99.52% with an RSD of 1.2%, and that of neohesperidin was 100.8% with an RSD of 1.2%.The transfer rates of naringin and neohesperidin between medicinal materials, extracts, concentrates, and granules were measured by this method.The average transfer rate of naringin from medicinal materials to granules was 54.89%±4.38%, and that of neohesperidin was 57.63%±5.88%.The process from medicinal materials to extracts was presumedly the key link affecting the whole preparation process.The established method is simple and sensitive and can be adopted for the quality control of Qingfei Paidu Granules.Meanwhile, it can be used to investigate the transfer rate of neohesperidin and naringin in the preparation of Qingfei Paidu Granules, and further improve the quality control standard of Aurantii Fructus Immaturus in Qingfei Paidu Granules.

To reduce the grinding trajectory deviation caused by the absolute positioning accuracy of robot, a trajectory compensation method based on Co-Kriging space interpolation method is proposed. Meanwhile, an adaptive iterative constant force control method based on one-dimensional force sensor is proposed to improve the processing quality and efficiency of robot belt grinding. Firstly, an error model based on 6 DOF robot is constructed. Then, considering the workspace of robot belt grinding and the similarity of robot position error, the Co-Kriging compensation algorithm is used to compensate the grinding trajectory, which makes the compensation process convenient and accurate. Then, a grinding dynamics model based on deformation is established, and an adaptive iterative constant force control is proposed for complex robot belt grinding process, which overcomes the instability of grinding force and shortens its convergence time. Finally, the grinding trajectory compensation experiment and the force control experiment of spherical workpiece are carried out. The results show that the space interpolation compensation algorithm based on Co-Kriging method can significantly improve both the space position error of grinding trajectory and the actual error of workpiece, which proves the feasibility of compensation algorithm. Through force control algorithm, the grinding force fluctuation is maintained within 2 N, the mean value, standard deviation and variance of absolute value of force error are significantly reduced, the convergence rate of grinding force and the roughness of workpiece are much better than before, which shows the effectiveness of the proposed force control algorithm.

This study discovered that the resolution of 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid(isochlorogenic acid A) in the content determination method of Chrysanthemi Flos in Chinese Pharmacopoeia(ChP)(2020 edition) was poor, which affected accurate quantification. We tested the method in ChP with chromatographic columns of seven brands to clarify the problems in the existing method, optimized the chromatographic conditions by adjusting the mobile phase composition and elution ratio and replacing the chromatographic column packing, and carried out the reproducibility assay for the new method. The two methods were compared for the content determination results of Chrysanthemi Flos prepared from six different varieties. As evaluated by the resolution based on different chromatographic columns of seven brands, the existing method failed to separate isochlorogenic acid A and isochlorogenic acid D well. The peaks of the two components were not completely separated on three chromatographic columns, and isochlorogenic acid A and isochlorogenic acid D generated a co-effluent peak in the other four columns. Isochlorogenic acid A and isochlorogenic acid D could be completely separated under the optimized chromatographic conditions. The difference in the peak areas of isochlorogenic acid A+isochlorogenic acid D obtained by the optimized method and the method in ChP was not significant, with deviation less than 3.0%, which further proved that the result measured by the method in ChP was the co-effluent of isochlorogenic acid A and isochlorogenic acid D. The optimized method can ensure the accurate quantification of isochlorogenic acid A. The existing content determination method of Chrysanthemi Flos has the problem of poor resolution. It is recommended to revise the chromatographic conditions for the content determination method of Chrysanthemi Flos to improve the resolution of isochlorogenic acid A and ensure its accurate quantification.

The increasing population of diabetes mellitus in adolescent girls and women of childbearing age contributes to a large number of pregnancies with maternal pregestational diabetes mellitus. Congenital heart diseases are a common adverse outcome in mothers with pregestational diabetes mellitus. However, there is little systematic information between maternal pregestational diabetes mellitus and congenital heart diseases in the offspring.Literature selection was performed in PubMed. One hundred and seven papers were cited in our review, including 36 clinical studies, 26 experimental studies, 31 reviews, eight meta-analysis articles, and six of other types.Maternal pregestational diabetes mellitus poses a high risk of congenital heart diseases in the offspring and causes variety of phenotypes of congenital heart diseases. Factors such as persistent maternal hyperglycemia, oxidative stress, polymorphism of uncoupling protein 2, polymorphism of adiponectin gene, Notch 1 pathway, Nkx2.5 disorders, dysregulation of the hypoxia-inducible factor 1, and viral etiologies are associated with the occurrence of congenital heart diseases in the offspring of mothers with pregestational diabetes mellitus. Treatment options including blood sugar-reducing, anti-oxidative stress drug supplements and exercise can help to prevent maternal pregestational diabetes mellitus from inducing congenital heart diseases.Our review contributes to a better understanding of the association between maternal pregestational diabetes mellitus and congenital heart diseases in the offspring and to a profound thought of the mechanism, preventive and therapeutic measurements of congenital heart diseases caused by maternal pregestational diabetes mellitus.

This paper reviewed the traditional use of Paris polyphylla and its active components, aiming to provide reference for the development and utilization of this plant. It was found that P. polyphylla has been used as a medicinal plant by eight ethnic minorities. A total of 62 experiential effective recipes, including 29 simple recipes and 33 compound recipes, were analyzed for their indications, traditional processing methods, medicinal compatibilities, and administration doses. The top three in the eight ethnic minorities sorted by the quantity of folk recipes were the Yi nationality(18), Naxi nationality(13) and Bai nationality(12). P. polyphylla has been widely employed for the treatment of nine categories of diseases, especially the dermatologic diseases, trauma, and toxicosis currently. The collating of material basis for its traditional functions revealed 26 active components, among which 19 were steroidal saponins capable of resisting cancer, furuncles, carbuncles, abscesses, bacteria, inflammation and stopping bleeding. This study preliminarily proved the efficacy of P. polyphylla in treating cancer and respiratory system, digestive system, and genitourinary system diseases, which has provided clues for related basic research of P. polyphylla and development of new preparations.

This paper investigates the resilience of oscillatory power networks with Kuramoto-type nodal dynamics via phase difference. Here, we propose a general framework to measure the resilience of power network in response to perturbations affecting nodes and transmission lines during operation. Moreover, the assessing resilience approaches provide an estimation of the phase difference and power difference. To identify the resilience of power network that makes stable operation possible, several small-size oscillatory networks are selected to validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed schemes. Simulation results show that the resilience plays a crucial role in the synchronous performance.

Currently, trusted execution environment technologies are widely used to enhance the security of connected devices such as mobile phones and tablets. The trusted operating system is the core component of a trusted execution environment solution, but the trusted operating system itself may face security challenges. The main reason is that the trusted operating system needs to provide different services for different application scenarios, which makes its function more complicated and further increases the code size. In most trusted execution environment solutions, the trusted operating system is based on Monolithic kernel architecture. This will inevitably face security issues such as software defects and lack of isolation between components. In this paper, we propose a scheme for design secure trusted operating system based on a microkernel architecture. In our scheme, we take the modified take-grant model as the system security model and design a discretionary access control mechanism based on the capability system. We implemented our secure trusted operating system on the i.MX6Q platform. The test results show that it works properly and meets the requirements of the GP TEE specifications.

Power network refers to a complex system that relies on the interactions between generators and consumers. This paper mainly studies the influence of consumers and generators arrangement on the synchronization of a ring-coupled power network. It is shown by numerical results that node arrangement strategies play a key role in the collective behavior of ring power network. Furthermore, it can be discovered that different arrangements of the consumer and generator nodes on a ring leads to different threshold of coupling strength for frequency synchronization. More specifically, the closer the nodes, which are more heterogeneous on a ring, are to each other, the stronger the synchronizability of power network is. On the contrary, the closer the nodes, which are less heterogeneous, are to each other, the weaker the synchronizability of power network is. The results show that the strategies of generator and consumer nodes arrangement have influence on the synchronization stability and highlight the importance of structural organization of network in synchronization dynamics.

The Midas touch is reflected by the interactive feedback of interface functional elements, and a low level of spatial accuracy is related to the interaction area. This study tried to solve these two problems from the perspective of human-computer interactions and ergonomics. Two experiments were conducted to explore the optimum target size and gaze-triggering dwell time of the eye–computer interaction (ECI) system. Experimental Series 1 was used as the pre-experiment to identify the size that has a greater task completion rate. Experimental Series 2 was used as the main experiment to investigate the optimum gaze-triggering dwell time by using a comprehensive evaluation of the task completion rate, reaction time, and NASA-TLX (Task Load Index). In Experimental Series 1, the optimal element size was determined to be 256 × 256p x2. The conclusion of Experimental Series 2 was that when the dwell time is set to 600 ms, the efficiency of the interface is the highest, and the task load of subjects is minimal as well. Finally, the results of Experiment Series 1 and 2 have positive effects on improving the usability of the interface. The optimal control size and the optimal dwell time obtained from the experiments have certain reference and application value for interface design and software development of the ECI system.

In this paper, we investigate the synchronization dynamics of clustered network with positive and negative connections and report a counterintuitive phenomenon: the removal of a heterogeneous (generator to consumer nodes and vice versa) positive link in oscillatory power network suppress synchronization. However, a heterogeneous negative link removal of power network can enhance synchronizability. Moreover, our results establish that a homogeneous (generators to generators or consumers to consumers) positive link deletion has a small effect on the synchronizability of the power network. But the removal of a homogeneous negative link plays a positive role on collective behavior of oscillatory power network.

In the design of digital interface of eye control system, interactive control is an important element, and it's convenience directly affects the operation efficiency of the system. In order to reduce the cognitive load of users in the process of eye movement interaction and improve the user experience of eye control system. An ergonomic experiment is designed to explore the input characteristics of gaze interactive controls. The main purpose is to determine the position advantages of the interactive controls. By comparing the scanning velocity between interactive controls, the priority order between interactive controls is obtained. It provides a scientific theoretical basis for the arrangement of the position of interactive controls in the eye control system interface design.

This paper is devoted to synchronization analysis of the fractional order drive-response complex network. Firstly, a fractional order drive-response networks model with in-commensurate orders is proposed. Moreover, on the basis of the stability theory of linear fractional-order differential equations and open-loop strategy, we derive a sufficient condition for the stability of the modified projective synchronization behavior in such drive-response complex network. Furthermore, we verify our theoretical results by numerical simulations of drive-response complex network with in-commensurate orders.

Non-traumatic osteonecrosis of the femoral head (NONFH) is a common clinical osteoarthropathy. The present study aimed to investigate the association between transforming growth factor β1 (TGF‑β1) and NONFH. Femoral head specimens were collected from patients with NONFH. Patients with traumatic osteonecrosis served as the control. Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining was used to visualize the bone tissue architecture. Immunohistochemistry and densitometry were performed to quantify TGF‑β1 expression in tissues. Flow cytometry was used to detect cluster of differentiation (CD)3+, CD4+ and CD8+ cells, and the ratio of CD4+ to CD8+ T cells in the peripheral blood. H&E staining revealed osteonecrosis, disintegration of osteocytes with karyopyknosis and karyorrhexis, loss of osteocyte lacunae, aberrantly arranged circumferential lamellae, as well as dissolution of the lamellae and subtle osteogenesis in the experimental group, as opposed to the control group. This paper is devoted to the impacts of link addition and removal on synchronization of an elementary oscillatory network. By means of numerical simulations, it is found that the characteristics of edge have important consequences to synchronization in oscillatory networks. To be specific, we find that the heterogeneous (generators to consumer nodes and vice versa) edge additions whether in a separate community or between communities is beneficial for the enhancement of the synchronization. Nevertheless, the influence of homogeneous (generators to generators or consumers to consumers) edge additions is not obvious on the synchronizability of the power network. Furthermore, it is observed that a heterogeneous edge is deleted, the network exhibits weak synchronizability. However, the removal of a homogeneous edge does not affect the synchronizability. Besides, the numerical simulation results indicate that whereas the impact of a link additional and removal in a separate community become more sensitive to synchronizability than different communities.

This chapter studies the impacts of node arrangement on the frequency synchronization of coupled oscillatory network. We mainly focus on the oscillatory model with chain-like and tree-like topologies. Moreover, we address the numerical simulations on the role of node arrangement in the phenomenon of onset of frequency synchronization in power network modeled by second-order Kuramoto oscillators. It is revealed that coupling strategies play an important role in collective behavior of coupled oscillatory network. It is also discovered that the threshold of coupling strength for frequency synchronization may be different for different arrangements of the consumer and generator nodes. More specifically, the closer to each other the nodes which are more heterogeneous, the stronger the synchronizability of oscillatory network is. In particular, the closer to each other the nodes which are less heterogeneous, the weaker the synchrony ability of the coupled oscillatory network is.

Due to lack of reference substances,the content of triterpenoid saponins in traditional Chinese medicines is usually characterized by colorimetric determination of total saponins. However,the specificity of colorimetric method is poor,and the determination result is not accurate enough. So,in this paper,the content determination method of total triterpenoid saponins was studied by taking Akebiae Caulis saponins as an example. The contents of three main saponin aglycones,including arjunolic acid,hederagenin and oleanolic acid,were determined by HPLC method. Referring to the content determination method of total flavonol glycosides in Ginkgo biloba leaves in the 2015 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia,the content of Akebiae Caulis saponins was obtained by multiplying the total content of the three above-mentioned aglycones with conversion coefficient. LC-MS/MS analysis results showed that mutongsaponin C and aponin PJIwere the two main triterpene saponins in Akebiae Caulis,and they shared the same molecular formula. So,the average value of the ratios of the molecular weight between mutongsaponin C and the three aglycones was defined as the conversion coefficient.The three aglycones were separated on an ACE Excel 3 C18-AR column( 4. 6 mm×150 mm,3 μm),and methanol-water( containing0. 04% glacial acetic acid and 0. 02% triethylamine) was used as mobile phase with gradient elution. The detection wavelength was set at 210 nm,and the flow rate was 0. 5 m L·min-1. The results showed that there was a good linearity among the ranges of 1. 053-16. 84,0. 200-3. 200 and 1. 515-24. 24 μg for arjunolic acid,hederagenin and oleanolic acid,respectively. Their average recoveries were97. 90%,97. 50% and 100. 5%,with RSD of 2. 0%,2. 9% and 2. 9%,respectively. The results of methodological investigation met the requirements of content determination. The conversion coefficient was 2. 31. This method is simple and reliable,and can be used for the determination of total triterpenoid saponins in Akebiae Caulis. The assay strategy can be used for the determination of total triterpenoid saponins in other traditional Chinese medicines.

To search for the active diuretic fractions of Clematidis Armandii Caulis( CAC) and determine its main active chemical components by using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry( LC-MS) and diuretic activity evaluation. CAC 75% ethanol extracts and extracts from different polar solvents were orally administered to saline-loaded rats at different doses. 6 h urinary volume,p H and contents of electrolyte Na+,K+and Cl-were measured. The chemical components of the active fractions were separated and identified by ultra performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-quadrupole time of flight-mass spectrometry( UPLC-ESI-Q-TOF-MS/MS) method. As compared with the control group,the urine volume was increased by 44%( P0. 01) and 34%( P0. 05) in CAC75% ethanol extract 57. 74 and 28. 8 mg·kg-1 groups respectively; the Na+excretion was increased by 52%( P0. 01) and 45%( P0. 05),respectively; while the Cl-excretion was increased by 101%( P0. 01) and 85%( P0. 05),respectively. The urine volume,Na+excretion and Cl-excretion were increased by 50%( P0. 01),58%( P0. 05),and 65%( P0. 05) respectively in petroleum ether extract 70. 98 mg·kg-1 group as compared with the control group. While for the n-butanol extract 194. 18 mg·kg-1 group,the urine volume,Na+and Cl-excretion were increased by 42%( P0. 01),41%( P0. 05) and 97%( P0. 01),respectively. The diuretic activity of other fractions was not obvious. There was no statistical difference in K+excretion in all groups. The results of LC-MS analysis showed that six compounds,including two sterols,one chromogen and three fatty acids,were identified from petroleum ether extract.Fourteen compounds,including six triterpenoid saponins,six lignin glycosides,one sterol glycoside and one phenolic glycoside,were identified from the n-butanol extract. All the results suggested that the ethanol extract of CAC had remarkable diuretic activity and its main effective components included sterol,triterpenoid saponin and lignin glycosides.

In order to improve the quality control level of Ligustri Lucidi Fructus(LLF) and to explore the changes of chemical components after processing,the HPLC method for fingerprint and simultaneous determination of the major polar components in LLF were established. The octadecylsilane bonded silica gel was used as the stationary phase,with acetonitrile as the mobile phase A and0. 2% formic acid as the mobile phase B in a gradient elution procedure at a flow rate of 1. 0 m L·min-1. The detection wavelength was set at 280 nm and the column temperature was 25 ℃. There were 22 common peaks,20 of which were selected from the fingerprint of LLF and its wine-steamed product,respectively,and 14 chromatographic peaks were identified with reference substances. With the same chromatographic conditions,seven components were quantitatively analyzed and the results of system adaptability and methodology investigation all met the requirements of content determination. Compared with the crude LLF,the content of 5-hydroxymethyl furfural and salidroside significantly increased in wine-steamed LLF,while the contents of iridoid glycosides generally decreased. The method provided a basis for quality control of LLF and its processed products as well as the related preparations.

Corbicula fluminea is highly sensitive to ammonia, and its response mechanism to ammonia stress is unclear. In this study, C. fluminea was exposed to different levels of ammonia (control group, 10 mg/L, and 25 mg/L) for 24 h and 48 h. A comparative analysis of transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq) of C. fluminea digestive gland showed that the expression of 6742 genes (11.54%) was significantly affected by ammonia stress. The TLR, NF-κB, FOXO, and apoptotic signaling pathways were involved in the regulation. The differential expression of 14 genes was confirmed by real-time PCR. In summary, the response mechanism of C. fluminea digestive gland under ammonia stress may be different from that of oxidative stress in marine vertebrates. Also, the NMDAR-mediated pathway may not be the main mechanism in the response to ammonia stress in C. fluminea. The present study is a preliminary study for further investigation into ammonia toxicity in shellfish.

The electrical power grid is a fundamental infrastructure in the modern society. Theoretically, the Kuramoto-type model with inertia can be modeled with the generators and consumers working for a power network. The purpose of this work is to investigate the emergence of synchronous patterns of power network with the general coupling strategy, which is the most general setting for an oscillatory network. Here, we analyze the dynamics of the simplest non-trivial network that exhibits synchronous state. Furthermore, we find a counterintuitive range of coupling strength values where the synchronization stability suddenly decreases as the coupling strength increases, based on a number of simple topology structures. Furthermore, it is found that nontrivial behaviors of the coupling scheme in the small-size oscillatory power network potentially vary with the synchronous patterns. Therefore, our simulation results suggest that adjusting coupling scheme is vital to prevent the unexpected catastrophic instability in building blocks of power network.

Second-order Kuramoto-like oscillators with dissimilar natural frequencies are used as a coarse-scale model for an electrical power network that contains generators and consumers. This paper proposes a new power network model with coupling-frequency weighting exponent. Furthermore, the influence of the weighting exponent on synchronization of a power network is investigated through numerical simulations. It is observed that the synchronizability is significantly influenced by the coupling-frequency weighting coefficient with different magnitude categories. Furthermore, the synchronization cost caused by phase differences of power plants on the synchronization of the proposed power network model is studied. Numerical simulation shows that the synchronization cost will get larger with the coupling-frequency weighting exponent increasing further.

Objective: To observe the effect of total thoracic esophageal cancer radical surgery on postoperative pulmonary function and inflammatory factors in patients with esophageal cancer. Methods: A total of 92 cases esophageal cancer patients who admitted in the hospital were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 46 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with total thoracic esophageal cancer radical surgery, and the control group was treated with traditional radical resection, the lung function and the inflammatory factors levels were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results: Compared with the preoperative, the postoperative FEV1, FVC and FEV1/FVC in the observation group decreased slightly, but the differences were not significant, while the postoperative FEV1, FVC and FEV1/FVC in the control group were significantly decreased; the postoperative FEV1, FVC and FEV1/FVC in the observation group was (2.42±0.71) L, (3.35±0.21) L and (66.53±9.81)% respectively, all were significantly higher than that in the control group after operation. Compared with the preoperative, both two groups’ postoperative IL-6, TNF-α and hs-CRP were significantly elevated, and the differences were statistically significant; the postoperative IL-6, TNF-α and hs-CRP in the observation group was (227.53±40.13) pg/mL, (30.58±6.12) pg/mL and (25.38±5.12) mg/L respectively, all were significantly lower than that in the control group after operation. Conclusion: For patients with esophageal cancer, both two type surgery, the traditional radical resection and the total thoracic radical surgery can improve the clinical symptoms of the patients to some extent. But total thoracic surgery can lower the effects on lung function, reduce the incidence of postoperative inflammation, and worth to be further used clinically.

A general model of community network with hybrid coupling is proposed in this paper. In the community network model with hybrid coupling, the inner connections are in the same type of coupling within the same community and in different types of coupling in different communities. The connections between different pair of communities are also nonidentical. Cluster synchronization of community network with hybrid coupling is investigated via adaptive couplings control scheme. Effective controllers are designed for constructing an effective control scheme and adjusting automatically the adaptive external coupling strength by taking external coupling strength as adaptive variables on a small fraction of network edges. Moreover, the impact of the topology on the synchronizability of community network is investigated. The numerical results reveal that the number of links between communities and the degree of the connector nodes have significant effects on the synchronization performance.

Drug addicts experience strong craving episodes in response to drug-associated cues. Attenuating these responses using pharmacological or behavioral approaches could aid recovery from addiction. Cue-induced drug seeking can be modeled using the conditioned place preference procedure (CPP). Our previous work showed that conditioned place preference (CPP) can be induced by administration of increasing doses of morphine in rhesus monkeys. Here, we investigated whether expression of morphine-induced CPP can be attenuated by inhibiting activity of insular cortex or by repeated unreinforced exposures to the CPP test. The insula has been demonstrated to be involved in addiction to several drugs of abuse. To test its role in morphine CPP, bilateral cannulae were implanted into the insula in seven adult monkeys. The CPP was established using a biased apparatus by intramuscular injections of morphine at increasing doses (1.5, 3.0 and 4.5mg/kg) for each monkey. After the monkeys established morphine CPP, their insulae were reversibly inactivated by bilateral microinjection with 5% lidocaine (40μl) prior to the post-conditioning test (expression) of CPP using a within-subject design. The microinjections of lidocaine failed to affect CPP expression when compared to saline injections. We subsequently investigated morphine-associated memory during six episodes of CPP tests performed in these monkeys over the following 75.0±0.2months. While the preference score showed a declining trend with repeated testing, morphine-induced CPP was maintained even on the last test performed at 75months post-conditioning. This observation indicated strong resistance of morphine-induced memories to extinction in rhesus monkeys. Although these data do not confirm involvement of insula in morphine-induced CPP, our observation that drug-associated memories can be maintained over six drug-free years following initial experience with morphine has important implications for treatment of drug addiction using extinction therapy.

This paper firstly proposes the multiplex oscillatory power network dynamical model, and then investigates the influence of interconnection patterns on synchronous ability of duplex power network being comprised of two subnetworks. In this work, we provide analytical vital conditions for synchronous stability in a multiplex oscillatory power network. Meanwhile, the relationship between interconnection types and synchronizability of duplex oscillatory power network is investigated. Moreover, we also find a counterintuitive phenomenon of connecting high-degree nodes where the synchronization has worst performance, on a specific duplex network composed of two star networks. In addition, our results show that increasing the interlink number favors synchronizability of duplex network consisting of two ring networks with the same properties in separate layers. However, the interlink number has no obvious effect on synchronizability for oscillatory network with strong heterogeneity in separate layers. Nonetheless, synchronization has better performance for duplex network composed of two ring networks than two star networks when the inter-layer connections are one-to-one. Our results provide an innovative guide for constructing a cost-effective multiplex power network.

Objective To observe clinical efficacy of raw rhubarbs (by intranasal jejuna injection) for moderately severe acute pancreatitis (MSAP) , and its effects on gastrointestinal tract and coagulation fibrinolysis. Methods Totally 84 MSAP patients were randomly assigned to the control group and the treatment group by random number table, 42 in each group. All patients received routine medica- tion. Enteral nutrition by intranasal jejuna injection was input under the endoscope within 48 h of onset. Pa- tients in the treatment group additionally used raw rhubarbs (by intranasal jejuna injection) , 100 mL each time, twice per day, with the treatment duration for 3 -7 days. The recovery of gastrointestinal tract func- tion (passage of gas by anus, recovery time of bowel sound, distension disappearance time, abdominal pain disappearance time) was observed, prothrombin time (PT) , activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), thrombin time (TT) , fibrinogen (Fib) content, platelet (PLT) count, D-dimer (DD), protein C were determined. Clinical efficacy was assessed as well. Results Compared with the control group, time for gas passage by anus, recovery time of bowel sound, distension disappearance time, and ab- dominal pain disappearance time were shortened, PT, APTT, Fib content, thrombin time, and DD decreased, and protein C increased in the treatment group (P0. 05). The incidence rate of complications was lower in the treatment group than in the control group (P0. 05). The cure rate was elevated (P0. 05). There was no statistical difference in the total effective rate between the two groups (P0. 05). Conclusion Intranasal jejuna injection of raw rhubarbs in treating moderately severe acute pancreatitis could improve symptoms of gastrointestinal tract and coagulation fibrinolysis.

The quantitative analysis of literature was then conducted by using CiteSpace software based on the bibliometricsmethod.The research trends were then summarized systematically, and the potential research fronts and focuses were explored.Totally 139 articles were identified in the field of snail intestinal flora. The top three countries with highest publications included the United States of American, Brazil, and South Korea; while the top three institutions were Kyung Hee University, Osvaldo Cruz Foundation, and Oxford University. To investigate the dynamic change law of the main components in Ligustri Lucidi Fructus during the wine-steaming process and attempt to establish the characteristic quality standard of wine-steamed Ligustri Lucidi Fructus by determining the content of salidroside and specnuezhenide using Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) technology at different processing time points (12, 15, 18, 21, 24 h). The chromatographic separation was performed on Waters Acquity UPLC®BEH C₁₈ column (2.1 mm×50 mm, 1.7 μm) with acetonitrile and 0.2% formic acid aqueous solution as the mobile phase for gradient elution; and the detection wavelength was set at 280 nm; the flow rate was 0.5 mL·min⁻¹, and the column temperature was set at 40 °C. The results showed that the two components were well separated in the above conditions. The salidroside and specnuezhenide showed a good linear relationship within the range of 10.19-326 ng and 49.53-1 585 ng, respectively. Their average recovery was 103.4% and 101.7% with RSD of 0.81% and 0.79%, respectively. With the extension of processing time, the content of specnuezhenide was decreased, while salidroside was gradually increased. For the 27 batches of Ligustri Lucidi Fructus, the content of salidroside was between 0.042 5% and 0.192 4%, and that of specnuezhenide was between 0.829 7% and 5.218 0%. While for the 25 batches of wine-steamed Ligustri Lucidi Fructus, the content of the first one was between 0.229 2% and 1.045 8%, and the latter one was between 0.743 8% and 3.645 4%. As compared with Ligustri Lucidi Fructus, the ratio of specnuezhenide to salidroside was significantly decreased in the wine-steamed Ligustri Lucidi Fructus. According to the experimental results, the quality standard of Ligustri Lucidi Fructus is tentatively fixed as follows: the content of specnuezhenide shall not be less than 0.80%, and the ratio of specnuezhenide content/salidroside content (Sp/Sa) should not be smaller than 15. As for the wine-steamed ones, the content of salidroside should not be less than 0.20%, and specnuezhenide content should not be less than 0.70%; Sp/Sa should not be greater than 8. The method established in this study is simple and reliable, which could be used for the content detection of salidroside and specnuezhenide in Ligustri Lucidi Fructus samples. The characteristic quality standard established in this study could be used to distinguish the Ligustri Lucidi Fructus and wine-steamed Ligustri Lucidi Fructus.

We study the dynamics in a clustered network of coupled oscillators by considering positive and negative coupling schemes. Second order oscillators can be interpreted as a model of consumers and generators working in a power network. Numerical results indicate that coupling strategies play an important role in the synchronizability of the clustered power network. It is found that the synchronizability can be enhanced as the positive intragroup connections increase. Meanwhile, when the intragroup interactions are positive and the probability p that two nodes belonging to different clusters are connected is increased, the synchronization has better performance. Besides, when the intragroup connections are negative, it is observed that the power network has poor synchronizability as the probability p increases. Our simulation results can help us understand the collective behavior of the power network with positive and negative couplings.

In this paper, the synchronization of a fractional-order colored complex dynamical network model is studied for the first time. In this network model, color edges imply that both the outer coupling topology and the inner interactions between any pair of nodes may be different, and color nodes mean that local dynamics may be different. Based on the stability theory of fractional-order systems, the scheme of synchronization for fractional-order colored complex dynamical networks is presented. To achieve the synchronization of a complex fractional-order edge-colored network, the open-plus-closed-loop (OPCL) strategy is adopted and effective controllers for synchronization are designed. The open-plus-closed-loop (OPCL) strategy avoids the need for computation of eigenvalues of a very large matrix. Then, a synchronization method for a class of fractional-order colored complex network, containing both colored edges and colored nodes, is developed and some effective synchronization conditions via close-loop control are presented. Two examples of numerical simulations are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed control strategies.

In this paper, a dynamic system, the fractional-order hyper-chaotic complex Lu system is proposed for the first time and its rich dynamics are investigated through numerical simulations. It is found that the variation of both the system parameters and the fractional order can induce bifurcations, and the parameter ranges of chaos are different. Furthermore, based on the Open-Plus-Closed-Loop (OPCL) technique and the stability theory of fractional-order dynamical system, a scheme of modified projective synchronization (MPS) for the fractional-order hyper-chaotic complex Lu system is presented, which can effectively achieve modified projective synchronization in a class of high dimensional fractional-order systems. Examples of numerical simulations are presented to show the validity of the proposed control strategy.

A quantitative analysis of multiple components with a single-marker method was established for the simultaneous determination of five sesqutiterpenoids in Xingnaojing injection. This method was established with Xingnaojing injection determined by high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with diode array detection. The durability and system suitability of the established method were evaluated, and the reliable relative correction factors were obtained with curdione selected as an internal reference. The contents of the five components in all Xingnaojing injections were determined by external standard method and the contents of curcumenone, curcumenol, curzerenone, and germacrone were also calculated with the obtained relative correction factors. Then, relative error was investigated to estimate the difference of the two methods. As a result, the established new method possesses good adaptability, and there is no significant difference between the two methods, except for the content of curzerenone in eight samples. To put the established method into practice, the limits of quantitation of the established method of the five components were proposed and defined. Thus, the developed methodology can also be utilized to the quality evaluation of Xingnaojing injection, in spite of the difference found in the content of curzerenone between the external standard method and the newly established method.

Three new phenolic glycosides 2-(3-O- β - d -glucopyranosyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) ethanol 1- O - β - d -glucopyranoside ( 1 ), 2-(4-O- β - d -fructopyranosylphenyl) ethanol 1- O - β - d -galactopyranoside ( 2 ) and 3-methoxy-4-O- β - d -allopyranosyl acetophenone ( 3 ), along with nine known compounds ( 4–12 ), were isolated from the ethanol extract of the whole plant of Aconitum tanguticum (Maxim.) Stapf. Their structures were elucidated by analysis of spectroscopic data including 1D-, 2D-NMR and HRESIMS, and the reported literature data comparison. All the compounds were evaluated for their potential anti-inflammatory effects by the inhibition of TNF-α production on LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages. Compounds 1 , 3 , 5 and 7 – 9 showed certain inhibition activity and their IC 50 values were 38.18, 27.64, 3.25, 84.45, 12.76 and 18.44 μg/mL, respectively.

This paper investigates the adaptive cluster synchronization in the complex networks with different orders. By means of Lyapunov stability theory and the adaptive control technique, a novel adaptive synchronization controller is developed. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed method, the examples for the synchronization of systems with the chaotic and hyperchaotic node dynamics are presented.

A quantitative nuclear magnetic resonance method(qNMR) was established for determination of the absolute content of febrifugine. Proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy of febrifugine was obtained in DMSO-d₆ with hydroquinone as the internal standard substance on a Bruker Ascend 600 MHz superconducting nuclear resonance spectrometer at 298 K. The specific parameters were as follows: the observing frequency was 600 MHz,spectra width was 7 211 Hz, pulse width was 9.70 μs, pulse sequence was zg30,scan times was 32 and relaxation time was 2 s. The proton signal peaked at δ 7.71 for febrifugine and δ 6.55 for hydroquinone were selected as the quantification peaks. Linear regression of quantitative peak area ratio of febrifugine-hydroquinone versus their mass ratio yielded a correlation coefficient of 0.999 6 and a regression equation of

To investigate the stability and degradation kinetics of febrifugine. The results showed that within 24 hours, febrifugine content was decreased by only 1% in mobile phase solvent, but its content was decreased to be 90% of the initial content in the water, methanol, 50% methanol and 10% acetonitrile solution. When the pH value of the solution was between 3 and 7, the retention rate of febrifugine in 24 hours was over 98%, but its content was decreased by about 12% in alkaline solution (pH 9.0). The higher the temperature, the worse the stability of febrifugine. At 40-80 ℃, the content of febrifugine was decreased to be 60% of its initial content in 10 hours, but the content was decreased by only 5% in 10 h at 20 ℃.However, no matter 40 ℃or 60 ℃, febrifugine was mainly transformed into isofebrifugine, and the total content of febrifugine and isofebrifugine was equal to their initial total content in 10 hours, while incase of 80 ℃, the total content was decreased to be 83.33% in 10 h, which suggested that the structure of febrifugine was absolutely changed, not just isomerized to be isofebrigugine at high temperature. Light had a significant impact on the stability of febrifugine. Under bright light, the content of febrifugine was reduced by about 23% in 108 h, but it only decreased by about 10% in the natural light or darkness. In artificial gastric fluid (pH 1.4) and artificial intestinal fluid (pH 6.8), the content of febrifugine was decreased by less than 5% in 10 h. After storage at high temperature(60 ℃), high humidity [(75±1)%] and strong light (3 000 lx) conditions for 10 d, the content of solid febrifugine was decreased by 0.27%, 7.6% and 5.39%, respectively. The degradation of febrifugine basically complied with the first-order reaction kinetic process in the following conditions: in water, methanol, 50%methanol and 10% acetonitrile solvents, alkaline solution (pH7), different light intensity and different temperatures (20,40 ℃). Therefore, no matter the isolation and purification of febrifugine or the production of the related preparations, it should be done fast in the acidic solution, low temperature and dark conditions, while the febrifugine solid should be kept in dry and dark conditions.

An UPLC method was developed for the studies of fingerprint and quantification of multi-components for Evodiae Fructus. The chromatographic separation was performed on a C₁₈ column (2.1 mm×50 mm,1.7 μm) with mobile phase of 0.2% formic acid-acetonitrile and 0.2% formic acid-water in gradient mode, and the detection wavelength was set at 320 nm．Dehydroevodiamine was used as the reference peak, there were 24 common peaks in the fingerprint of 29 samples were detected, and among them 10 chromatographic peaks were identified with the reference substance and they were neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic acid, hyperin, isorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-rutinoside, dehydroevodiamine, evodiamine, rutaecarpine, evocarpine and dihydroevocarpine. The fingerprint data was evaluated with similarity evaluation system for chromatographic fingerprint of traditional Chinese medicine (Version 2008A), and the similarity of 19 batches of Evodiae Fructus was greater than 0.9 in the 29 samples. In addition, 9 components including neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, hyperin, isorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-rutinoside, dehydroevodiamine, evodiamine, rutaecarpine, evocarpine and dihydroevocarpine were simultaneously determined at the same chromatographic conditions, whose peak area integral values showed good linear relationship at the range of 0.000 46-0.138, 0.000 146-0.175, 0.000 412-0.124, 0.000 448-0.134, 0.000 452-0.136, 0.003 38-0.169, 0.000 44-0.132, 0.001 07-0.128, 0.001 71-0.128, respectively. Their average recoveries were 100.3%, 100.4%, 101.6%, 97.51%, 102.9%, 101.4%, 103.8%, 104.0%, 95.99%, and RSD were 2.4%, 2.0%, 3.0%, 0.80%, 1.9%, 2.1%, 1.1%, 2.2%, 2.4%, respectively. The established UPLC method not only realized the full separation of all chemical constituents of Evodiae Fructus within 20 minutes, but also achieved the chromatographic fingerprint determination and simultaneous multi-components determination of Evodiae Fructus at the same chromatographic conditions. Compared with other methods in literatures, the method has the following characteristics of strong specificity, good separation, high purity of chromatographic peaks, simplity and feasibility, which provides better means for the simultaneous qualitative and quantitative analysis of Evodiae Fructus.
