This paper presents results of a study of a reinforced concrete beam, simulating a double-span beam, early loaded. The beam was designed with limited redistribution of bending moments from the support to the span. The tested element was loaded at the operational load level, after the concrete had reached 80% of its predicted compressive strength. In a two-month test it was observed that the distribution of bending moments changed in the direction opposite to what was expected, i.e. from the span to the support. Moment redistribution in the tested beam leads to a reduction of security level in the middle support section of the beam.

Currently used antipsychotics are characterized by multireceptor mode of action. While antagonism of dopamine D2 receptors is responsible for the alleviation of “positive” symptoms of schizophrenia and the effects at other, particularly serotonergic receptors are necessary for their additional therapeutic effects, there is no consensus regarding an “ideal” target engagement. Here, a detailed SAR analysis in a series of 45 novel azinesulfonamides of cyclic amine derivatives, involving the aryl-piperazine/piperidine pharmacophore, central alicyclic amine and azinesulfonamide groups has led to the selection of (S)-4-((2-(2-(4-(benzo[b]thiophen-4-yl)piperazin-1-yl)ethyl)pyrrolidin-1-yl)sulfonyl)isoquinoline (62). The polypharmacology profile of 62, characterized by partial 5-HT1AR agonism, 5-HT2A/5-HT7/D2/D3R antagonism, and blockade of SERT, reduced the “positive”-like, and “negative”-like symptoms of psychoses. Compound 62 produced no catalepsy, demonstrated a low hyperprolactinemia liability and displayed pro-cognitive effects in the novel object recognition task and attentional set-shifting test. While association of in vitro features with the promising in vivo profile of 62 is still not fully established, its clinical efficacy should be verified in further stages of development.

The theory of state upbringing of Kazimierz Sośnicki (1883-1975) undertakes the problem of the relationship between upbringing and politics, which is still valid. The objectifying approach of Sośnicki is expressed in creating the theory which is outside ideology. The central notion here is the category of “state ethos” which constitutes a set of principles becoming the life force of each group of people. An important role of the ethos in individuals’ life and in the life of groups of people has an influence on upbringing aims. human being’s mental characteristics which are shaped in the right way would aim at overcoming social collisions. The pedagogical theory of Sośnicki, which was designed in the perspective of social role, undeniably enriched and inspired the pedagogy of those times but it can contribute to educational reality of today as well. Teoria wychowania państwowego Kazimierza Sośnickiego (1883-1975) zajmuje się ciągle aktualnym problemem relacji między wychowaniem a polityką. Podejście obiektywizujące Sośnickiego wyraża się w tworzeniu ponadideologicznej teorii. Tutaj centralnym zagadnieniem pozostaje kategoria „etosu państwowego”, który stanowiąc zbiór zasad postępowania, staje się, jak powtarzał Sośnicki, życiową siłą każdego zespołu ludzkiego. doniosła rola etosu w życiu jednostek oraz zespołów ludzkich ma wpływ na wyznaczanie zadań wychowawczych. Odpowiednie zaś ukształtowanie właściwości psychicznych człowieka miałoby na celu przezwyciężanie kolizji społecznych. Projektowana w perspektywie roli społecznej teoria pedagogiczna Sośnickiego bez wątpienia wzbogacała i inspirowała sobie współczesną pedagogikę, ale i współcześnie wydatnie może przysłużyć się rzeczywistości edukacyjnej.

A contemporary pedagogue cannot be devoid of imagination; one cannot be devoid of curiosity of the world, ambition of grasping it in a sensible way and dreams of changing (improving) it. The contemporary pedagogue should be thoroughly prepared for one’s profession. Philosophy can prove to be helpful in execution of such an ambitious programme (but the only one worth playing this game for human’s sake) at pedagogical studies. Thus, the role of philosophy at pedagogical studies is significant. Firstly, it arouses curiosity and makes us think. Subsequently, it appears to be an intellectual framework of culture including education. Simultaneously, philosophy with its ideals constitutes an inalienable foundation of education. it is philosophy which, among other things, proposes various anthropological ideas which are finally significant in the shape of education. Premises of philosophy of education are priceless for pedagogical theory and practice. Współczesny pedagog nie może być pozbawiony wyobraźni; nie może być pozbawiony ciekawości świata, ambicji jego sensownego ogarnięcia oraz marzeń o jego zmienianiu (ulepszaniu). Współczesny pedagog powinien więc być solidnie przygotowany do zawodu. W realizacji tak ambitnego programu – ale jedynie wartego gry z uwagi na dobro człowieka – na studiach pedagogicznych z pomocą przychodzi filozofia. Rola filozofii na studiach pedagogicznych jest zatem doniosła. Najpierw rozbudza ciekawość i zmusza do myślenia. Dalej jawi się jako intelektualna osnowa kultury, w tym edukacji. Jednocześnie filozofia, ze swoimi ideami, stanowi niezbywalną podstawę edukacji. To filozofia m.in. proponuje różne koncepcje antropologiczne, od których ostatecznie zależy kształt edukacji. Przesłanki filozofii wychowania dla teorii i praktyki pedagogicznej są nie do przecenienia.

In this paper we describe the echelle spectrograph of the 2 meter telescope of the Rozhen National Astronomical Observatory. The spectrograph is a cross-dispersed, bench-mounted, fiber-fed instrument giving a resolution from $\sim$30000 to $\sim$45000. The spectral range obtained in one single image is from 3900 to 9000 {\AA}. We describe the parameters of the fiber injection and the guiding unit, of the spectrograph itself, and of the detector. The identified orders and the resulting resolving power are presented. The opportunity to increase of the resolution by using a narrower slit is discussed and the corresponding loss of flux is calculated. The expected signal-to-noise ratio for a set of stars of different magnitudes was derived.
