The energy transition is said to create emerging “green windows of opportunity (GWO)” in developing countries. On the other hand, many latecomer countries remain importers and users of renewables and clean energy technologies. Renewable energy deployment projects are considered complex systems and products (CoPS) that are capital-intensive, client-driven, and complex economic activities. Previous research on catching up in CoPS has concentrated on large engineering projects, focusing on technological aspects and the role of government interventions at different developmental stages, especially the creation of domestic markets. As many latecomer countries are users of emerging renewable energy technologies, the creation of domestic markets through government interventions is considered essential for successful transitions and capability upgrading to take place. However, capability upgrading and the transition to renewable energy can also occur without the initial presence of a domestic market and strong governmental support, as demonstrated by the case of ACWA Power, a project developer in a latecomer country, in Saudi Arabia. This case shows that upgrading of organizational capabilities took place as the firm engaged in projects in the external market to deploy renewable energy, taking advantage of the GWO. The case suggests that the CoPS can be a viable pathway for catching up in the emerging renewable energy sector, enabling firms to transition and build their organizational capabilities from project-based learning when GWOs are effectively leveraged.

Background: This systematic review aims to critically evaluate the landscape of mental health systems and policies in Ghana, focusing on identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement within the existing framework. Objectives: The main objective of this review is to examine the current state of mental health systems and policies in Ghana, highlighting areas for enhancement and providing recommendations for future interventions and policy changes. Methods: Studies and reports focusing on mental health systems and policies in Ghana, published in peer-reviewed journals, books, or grey literature between 2014 and 2024, were included in the review. Databases such as PubMed, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar were searched to identify relevant studies. The last search was conducted in January 2024. The risk of bias in the included studies was assessed using established criteria for quality assessment, considering factors such as study design, methodology, and reporting. The results were synthesized using a narrative approach, summarizing key findings and themes across the included studies to provide a comprehensive overview of mental health systems and policies in Ghana. Results: A total of 43 studies were included in the review, encompassing a variety of study designs such as cross-sectional, ethnographic, and alternative methodologies. The studies provided insights into the strengths and challenges of mental health systems in Ghana. The synthesis of results highlighted key issues in mental health policy and practice in Ghana, emphasizing the need for integrated and evidence-based approaches to address gaps in service delivery and coordination. Discussion: Limitations of the evidence included in the review includes study risk of bias, inconsistency in findings, and imprecision in data reporting. Background: Increased posterior wall acetabular fractures among older adults, require precise treatment to restore stability to the joint, lower the risk of degenerative arthritis, and enhance overall functional recovery. The purpose of this study was to compare the fixation stability and mechanical characteristics of calcaneal buttress plate and conventional reconstruction plate under different loading condition. Methods: Typical acetabular posterior wall fractures were created on twenty synthetic hemipelvis models. They were fixed with calcaneus plate and reconstruction plate. Dynamic and static tests were performed. Displacements of fracture line and stiffness were calculated. Findings: After dynamic loading, calcaneus plate fixation has significantly less displacement than the reconstruction plate on the superior posterior wall. Under static loading condition, the calcaneus plate group has significantly less displacement than the reconstruction plate group on the inferior posterior part of the fracture. The average stiffness values of the calcaneus plate group and the reconstruction plate group were 265.16 +/- 53.98 N/mm and 167.48 +/- 36.87 N/mm, respectively and a statistically significant difference was found between the two groups. Interpretation: The calcaneal plate group demonstrated better stability along the fracture line after dynamic and static loading conditions. The study aimed to gain insight into knowledge management in the intellectual dis-abilities (ID) care sector during the COVID-19 pandemic. We explored and describedhow knowledge producers, intermediaries, and knowledge users experienced knowl-edge management during this crisis situation, the responses to the specific knowl-edge needs in the ID-care sector, and changes in roles and collaboration during thisperiod. Twenty-five individual in-depth semi-structured interviews were conductedwith knowledge producers, intermediaries, and knowledge users in the Dutch ID-caresector. An inductive thematic analysis was conducted. Three key themes were identi-fied: (1) knowledge needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, (2) experiences withknowledge management, and (3) roles and collaboration in knowledge management.There was an urgent need for specific ID-related knowledge and how to translateavailable evidence for the general population into ID-care settings. In knowledgemanagement, the focus was on knowledge production and exchange, with validationand application receiving less attention. Within stakeholder groups, collaboration andknowledge exchange were intensified by existing or new knowledge infrastructures.Between stakeholder groups, knowledge producers and users created short lines toexchange needs and produce knowledge. This paper provides unique insights intoknowledge management in the Dutch ID-care sector during the COVID-19 pandemic.Implications are discussed to improve future knowledge management processes. Sup-port with knowledge validation and local knowledge infrastructures (complementaryto centralized national knowledge infrastructures) help to assess the reliability andusefulness of knowledge and improve its use in practice during future pandemic-related crisis situations.

2023 Otros acuerdos transformativos de la UCM, Oxide-based 2D electron gases (2DEGs) have generated significant interest due to their potential for discovering novel physical properties. Among these, 2DEGs formed in KTaO_3 stand out due to the recently discovered crystal face-dependent superconductivity and large Rashba splitting, both of which hold potential for future oxide electronics devices. In this work, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy is used to study the electronic structure of the 2DEG formed at the (110) surface of KTaO_3 after deposition of a thin Al layer. The experiments reveal a remarkable anisotropy in the orbital character of the electron-like dispersive bands, which form a Fermi surface consisting of two elliptical contours with their major axes perpendicular to each other. The measured electronic structure is used to constrain the modeling parameters of self-consistent tight-binding slab calculations of the band structure. In these calculations, an anisotropic Rashba splitting is found with a value as large as 4 meV at the Fermi level along the [−110] crystallographic direction. This large unconventional and anisotropic Rashba splitting is rationalized based on the orbital angular momentum formulation. This research paper presents a data-driven framework for design optimization of renewable energy communities (RECs) in the residential sector, considering both techno-economic challenges and environmental impact. The study's focus is to determine suitable sizes for photovoltaic systems, wind turbines, and battery electrical energy systems by evaluating energy, economic, and environmental criteria. To achieve this, we develop a data-driven model that incorporates Homer Pro and an in-house tool developed in Python programming language that integrates a machine learning algorithm, life cycle cost (LCC), life cycle assessment (LCA) calculations of the REC model. Furthermore, a multi-objective optimization model is established to minimize the LCC and LCA parameters while maximizing green energy use. Moreover, a multi-criteria decision-making approach based on Weighted Sum Model (WSM) is proposed to help the stakeholders to see beyond the selection criteria based on LCC and LCA to choose the most appropriate scenario optimal solution for the desired energy community and interpret the effect of various economic parameters on the sustainable performance of REC. The framework application is illustrated through a case study for the optimal design of REC for a residential community in Tarragona, Spain, consisting of 100 buildings. The results revealed a substantial improvement in economic , environmental benefits for designing REC, the optimal minimum cost solution with a levelized cost of energy (LCOE = 0.044 $/kWh) and a payback period of 7.1 years with an LCOE reduction of 85.04% compared to the base case. The minimum impact with an LCOE = 0.220 $/kWh and a payback period of 12.5 years with a reduction in environmental impact of 54.59% compared to the base case. Overall, the de

In this perspective article, I examine whether systems and ecosystems are distinct concepts and how they complement each other. To do so, I analysed these concepts and applied them to a case of biomethane for transportation using scientific literature. Systems and ecosystems are not mutually exclusive; rather, they offer nuanced perspectives to describe, analyse, and facilitate complex interactions among entities and their external environment. They signify the complexity, interdependency, and co-evolutionary nature of the circular economy. Ecosystems are a subcategory of systems. I This article describes the development of a software focused on a tank inventory control system, using the SCRUM methodology in its four phases of operational management, referring to the creation of software, which are divided into planning, development, review, and hindsight. Through these phases, it is possible to review the area of knowledge and the work environment of inventory management, capturing them through an algorithm and procedure diagram, which later helps to carry out an analysis and use of programming technologies within a web environment such as HTML, PHP and CSS for him its visual design, within the data environment was made through a client / server architecture, which was managed through the MySQL database manager. where through registration forms, quick consultations, creation of contracts and a monitoring panel in real time the user achieves a multiplatform interaction, later the connectivity and operability tests of the software are carried out, for its implementation and delivery within an environment actual inventory control, El presente articulo describe el desarrollo de un software enfocado a un sistema de control de inventarios, utilizando la metodología SCRUM en sus cuatro fases de gestión operativa, haciendo referencia a la creación de software, las cuales están divididas en planeación, desarrollo, revisión y retrospectiva. Mediante estas fases se puedo revisar el área de conocimiento y el entorno de trabajo de la gestión de inventarios, plasmándolos a través de un algoritmo y diagrama de procedimiento, que posteriormente coadyuvando a la realización de un análisis y uso de las tecnologías de programación dentro de un entorno web tales como HTML, PHP y CSS para él su diseño visual, dentro del entorno de datos se realizó mediante una arquitectura cliente / servidor, la cual se gestionara por medio del gestor de base de datos MySQL, través de formularios de registros, consultas rápidas, creación de contratos y un panel de monitoreo en tiempo real el usuario logra una interacción multiplataforma, posteriormente se realiza las pruebas de conectividad y operatividad del software, para su implementación y entrega dentro de un entorno real de control de inventarios de tanques.

Purpose: The purpose is to know and analyze the interaction among automation in organizational processes, administrative knowledge, organizational information systems and business resource planning systems and their impact in the practice of economic science professionals. Methodology: Bibliographic research method. Results: changes in organizations led them to shift from an industrial economy to another where information is key to their survival, thus, information management becoming a key element. In relation to administrative knowledge, changes are verified in the way in which they are operated and consequently in the practice of professionals of economic science. Implications: administrative knowledge is in a process of learning, redesigning, transformation and execution depending on the level of automation and changes in information systems. Originality/value: This study opens up the possibility to conduct research on the characteristics and differences of diverse types of organizations about which studies and administrative knowledge by economic science professionals were revealed., Propósito: Analizar la interacción entre los conceptos de automatización en los procesos organizacionales, saberes administrativos, sistemas de información organizacional y sistemas de planifi cación de recursos empresariales y su impacto en las actividades realizadas por los profesionales en Ciencias Económicas. Metodología: Se confeccionó sobre la base de estudios exploratorios bibliográficos de los conceptos planteados en el punto anterior. Resultados: Los cambios en las organizaciones las llevaron a pasar de una economía industrial a otra en donde la información es crucial para su subsistencia, siendo la gestión de la información un elemento clave. The aim is to reflect on some reasons why public management has remained anchored in questioned paradigms ofclassical science, as well as lagging behind the great advances of modernity, consolidated mainly from the second half of the twentieth century by the revolutionary contributions of information technology (IT), systems theory, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, cybernetics, quantum science, and relational or complex thinking, among others. In fact, today the actions of the State do not effectively respond to its mission in terms of timeliness, relevance, and impact of its management regarding the citizens’ needs and expectations, daily affected by the disruptive changes and the stagnation of social development which, so far in the twenty-first-century, shows a deepening of theinequality gap. For methodological purposes, it begins with the critical diagnoses of the main current exponents of public administrative knowledge and confronts them with some strategies proposed and driven by the challenges and constant innovations demanded by modern management. En efecto, hoy el accionar del Estado no responde efectivamente a su misionalidad, en términos de oportunidad, pertinencia e impacto de su gestión, frente a las necesidades y expectativas del ciudadano, afectado cotidianamente por los disruptivos cambios y el estancamiento del desarrollo social que, en lo que va corrido del siglo XXI, muestra una profundización en su brecha de desigualdad. Para los efectos metodológicos, se parte de los diagnósticos críticos de los principales exponentes actuales del saber administrativo público y que se confrontan con algunas estrategias propuestas e impulsadas por los retos y constantes innovaciones que reclama gerencia moderna. Producción Científica, The exponential ordering is exploited in the context of nonautonomous delay systems, inducing monotone skew-product semiflows under less restrictive conditions than usual. Some dynamical concepts linked to the order, such as semiequilibria, are considered for the exponential ordering, with implications for the determination of the presence of uniform persistence or the existence of global attractors. Also, some important conclusions on the long-term dynamics and attraction are obtained for monotone and sublinear delay systems for this ordering. The Acquisition Modernization Integration (AMI) team within the ASA(ALT) office is critical in the Army decision-making process. The AMI creates reports that include actionable knowledge rendered to Army strategic leaders. These reports include vital data on critical Army programs integrated into the modernization efforts. Part of this necessary data are the First Unit Issued (FUI) and the First Unit Equipped (FUE) dates. These reported dates directly affect Army units’ training, deployment, and logistics support timelines as they become part of the data-driven analytics on reports provided to decision-makers. Because of the initiatives to improve efficiency in the acquisition process, realignment, and creation of new organizations, the AMI needs a system that facilitates accurate and consistent FUI and FUE dates reporting. This research used several systems engineering (SE) concepts and methods such as stakeholders’ analysis, functional analysis, mapping of functions to systems’ parameters, modeling-based systems engineering, and analysis of alternatives. The application of these SE tools resulted in identifying a system/process that will accurately and consistently facilitate FUI and FUE date reporting to meet the AMI’s needs. Testing, verification and validation of sensors, components and systems is vital in the early-stage development of new cars with computer-in-the-car architecture. This can be done with the help of the existing technique, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing which, in the close loop testing case, consists of four main parts: Real-Time Simulation Platform, Sensor Simulation PC, Interface Unit (IU), and unit under test which is, for instance, a Vehicle Computing Unit (VCU). The purpose of this degree project is to research and develop a proof of concept for in-house development of an image injection solution (IIS) on the IU in the HIL testing environment. A proof of concept could confirm that editing, customizing, and having full control of the IU is a possibility. This project was initiated by Volvo Cars to optimize the use of the HIL testing environment currently available, making the environment more changeable and controllable while the IIS remains a static system. The IU is an MPSoC/FPGA based design that uses primarily Xilinx hardware and software (Vivado/Vitis) to achieve the necessary requirements for image injection in the HIL testing environment. It consists of three stages in series: input, image processing, and output. The whole project was divided in three parts based on the three stages and carried out at Volvo Cars in cooperation by three students, respectively. The author of this thesis was responsible for the output stage, where the main goal was to find a solution for converting, preferably, AXI4 RAW12 image data into data on CSI2 format. This CSI2 data can then be used as input to serializers, which in turn transmit the data via fiber-optic cable on GMSL2 format to the VCU. Associated with the output stage, extensive simulations and hardware tests have been done on a preliminary solution that partially worked on the hardware, producing signals in parts of the design that could be read and analyzed. Several recent works show that higher accuracy models may not be better teachers for every student, and hence, refer this problem as student-teacher "knowledge gap". Further, they propose techniques, which, in this paper, we discuss are constrained to certain pre-conditions: 1). Access to Teacher Model/Architecture 2). Retraining Teacher Model 3). Models in Addition to Teacher Model. Being well known that for a lot of settings, these conditions may not hold true challenges the applicability of such approaches. In this work, we propose RetroKD, which smoothes out the logits of a student network by leveraging students' past state logits with the ones from the teacher. By doing so, we hypothesize that the present target will no longer be as hard as the teacher target and not as more uncomplicated as the past student target. Such regularization on learning the parameters alleviates the needs as required by other methods. Our extensive set of experiments comparing against the baselines for CIFAR 10, CIFAR 100, and TinyImageNet datasets and a theoretical study further help in supporting our claim. We performed crucial ablation studies such as hyperparameter sensitivity, the generalization study by showing the flatness on loss landscape and feature similarly with teacher network.

However, it requires the implementation of appropriate policies along with sufficient funding, recruitment of adequately trained personnel, and availability of assistive products in need.

En este proyecto se describe un producto integrado en el ERP S4/HANA Public Cloud que ayuda a las empresas a cumplir de forma sencilla con sus obligaciones fiscales respecto a este nuevo impuesto., On April 8, 2022, Law 7/2022, on waste and contaminated soil for a circular economy, was approved, which brought into force the special tax on non-reusable plastic containers. This new tax implies that those companies that manufacture or buy plastic containers incur tax obligations. This project describes a product integrated into the ERP S4/HANA Public Cloud that helps companies easily comply with their tax obligations regarding this new tax.

The furniture industry is an integral part of the European economy and is now facing economic, environmental, and regulatory challenges. Within the European Union (EU), a large amount of furniture every year goes to incineration or landfill, with only 10% being recycled. One of the causes is the increased supply of low-quality furniture that is put on the market, causing increased consumption levels, resulting in an increasing amount of waste. Additionally, most of the climate impact occurs within the extraction of raw materials. From an environmental perspective, vast opportunities present themselves. Simultaneously, new stricter legislation demands decreased use of resources and climate impact, and the introduction of new circular economy guidelines forces companies to act. By adopting a circular approach in the organisation, companies can improve their resource usage and climate impact. However, the adoption itself demands new types of business models, which is a challenge for the corporates in the furniture industry to realize. The furniture industry can be split into two sections, business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C), where the first one has reached a bit further than the latter, regarding circularity. This can be explained, among other things, by knowledge gaps between the two sections and that Product-Service System (PSS) is more established for B2B. PSS integrates products and services to fulfil the customer’s needs, which is seen as an enabler for circular economy. The aim of this thesis is to explore the furniture industry within B2C in Sweden by identifying which circular business practices are offered today, as well as exploring the challenges and opportunities for furniture companies to implement more circular business practices. I denna studie undersöks lärares förståelse av fenomenet skolfrånvaro/skolnärvaro utifrån ramsättningarna: roll och ansvar. Då fenomenet är komplext, sammanvävt inom ömsesidiga relationella beroenden mellan elev, lärare, skola, familj, vänner, hälsa, juridik, politik, och så vidare, sker studien genom kvalitativ tematisk analys för att undersöka empirin. Semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts med mellan- och högstadielärare i kommunala grundskolor i en mellanstor kommun i Sverige. Intervjumaterialet har analyserats i ljuset av tidigare forskning samt med hjälp av teorier som på olika vis utgår från en systemisk förståelse. Forskningsfrågorna kunde besvaras genom studien och resultatet som följer visar att meningsskapande och förståelse för det sammantagna fenomenet polariseras av respondenterna. Frånvaro betraktas ur ett patogent perspektiv, likt något som behöver botas, och närvaro ur ett salutogent perspektiv, något som kan främjas. Implikationerna som kan följa av detta resultat är de mest intressanta produkterna från studien, vilka kan ge upphov till idéer för möjlig fortsatt forskning., This study examines teachers' understanding of the phenomenon of school absence/attendance based on the frameworks: role and responsibility. Since the phenomenon is complex, interwoven within mutual relational dependencies between student, teacher, school, family, friends, health, law, politics, and so on, the study uses qualitative thematic analysis to examine the empirical data. Semi-structured interviews have been conducted with middle and high school teachers in municipal primary schools in a medium-sized municipality in Sweden. The interview material has been analyzed in the light of previous research and with the help of theories that in various ways are based on a systemic understanding. The research questions could be answered through the study and the results that follow show that the creation of meaning and understanding of the overall phenomenon is polarized by the respondents. Absence is considered from a pathogenic perspective, as something that needs to be cured, and presence from a salutogenic perspective, something that can be promoted. The implications that can follow from this result are the most interesting products of the study, which can give rise to ideas for possible further research.

The interest in developing this study has arisen from all of the above and from the growing potential that the Internet of Things represents in childhood learning. For this reason, it has been arranged to carry out a bibliographic review in order to expose the subject matter. The results present current meanings about the technology of the internet of things, its main characteristics, the impact and the challenges of said system in education. In short, there seems to be no doubt that the use of this type of technology can have a positive impact on education, given that there is already favorable evi-dence of its application both in the teaching-learning process in children and in other equally important aspects., Las nuevas tecnologías; entre ellas la Internet, ordenadores, dispositivos móviles y otros, repercuten en las distintas áreas de la sociedad en la que vivimos, tras su constante irrupción en el trabajo, el hogar, el ocio. Desde hace ya varios años, el sector educativo se ha visto influenciado por la era digital. las personas, los procesos, los datos y las cosas representan los pilares fundamentales de una tecnología que, en el área educativa, lo que, especialmente en educación, poco a poco están cambiando la forma tradicional en que el docente lleva a cabo sus procesos y actividades de enseñanza-aprendizaje, investigación, gestión y tutorías, en un ambiente inteligente. El interés por desarrollar el presente estudio ha surgido de todo lo antes plantado y por el creciente potencial que representa el internet de las cosas en el aprendizaje en la infancia. Por ello, se ha dispuesto efectuar una revisión bibliografía a fines de exponer sobre la temática planteada. En los resultados se presentan acepciones vigentes sobre la tecnología del internet de las cosas, sus principales características, el impacto y los desafíos dicho sistema en educación. En definitiva, parece ser indudable que el uso de este tipo de tecnología puede tener un impacto positivo en la educación, dado que ya existe evidencia favorable de su aplicación tanto en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje en los niños como en otros aspectos igualmente trascendentes.

Producción Científica, The exponential ordering is exploited in the context of nonautonomous delay systems, inducing monotone skew-product semiflows under less restrictive conditions than usual. Some dynamical concepts linked to the order, such as semiequilibria, are considered for the exponential ordering, with implications for the determination of the presence of uniform persistence or the existence of global attractors. Also, some important conclusions on the long-term dynamics and attraction are obtained for monotone and sublinear delay systems for this ordering. We consider two different families of polarization distributions that include polarization analogs of the Wigner function. Calvo on the dynamics based either upon random walkers or on average densities have been quite useful., We treat the non-equilibrium evolution of an open one-particle statistical system, subject to a potential and to an external "heat bath" (hb) with negligible dissipation. For the classical equilibrium Boltzmann distribution, W_c,eq, a non-equilibrium three-term hierarchy for moments fulfills Hermiticity, which allows one to justify an approximate long-time thermalization. That gives partial dynamical support to Boltzmann's W_c,eq, out of the set of classical stationary distributions, W_c,st, also investigated here, for which neither Hermiticity nor that thermalization hold, in general. For closed classical many-particle systems without hb (by using W_c,eq,), the long-time approximate thermalization for three-term hierarchies is justified and yields an approximate Lyapunov function and an arrow of time. The largest part of the work treats an open quantum one-particle system through the non-equilibrium Wigner function, W. W_eq for a repulsive finite square well is reported. W's (< 0 in various cases) are assumed to be quasi-definite functionals regarding their dependences on momentum (q). That yields orthogonal polynomials, H_Q,n (q), for W_eq (and for stationary W_st), non-equilibrium moments, W-n, of W and hierarchies. For the first excited state of the harmonic oscillator, its stationary W_st is a quasi-definite functional, and the orthogonal polynomials and three-term hierarchy are studied. In general, the non-equilibrium quantum hierarchies (associated with W_eq) for the W_n's are not three-term ones. As an illustration, we outline a non-equilibrium four-term hierarchy and its solution in terms of generalized operator continued fractions. Such structures also allow one to formulate long-time approximations, but make it more difficult to justify thermalization. We show that this claim fails in two-dimensional dipolar Frenkel exciton systems. The linear energy dispersion at the top of the exciton band, originating from the long-range inter-site coupling of dipolar nature, yields the same size-scaling law for the level spacing and the effective disorder seen by the exciton. This finally results in the delocalization of those eigenstates in the thermodynamic limit. We give sufficient conditions, being also necessary in many cases, for the existence of a periodic free boundary generated as the boundary of the support of the periodic solution of a general class of nonlinear parabolic equations. We show some qualitative properties of this free boundary. We modify the standard definition of degree of polarization in order to encompass polarization properties in the quantum domain. In this paper we give general and flexible conditions for a reaction diffusion equation to be dissipative in an-unbounded domain. The functional setting is based on standard Lebesgue and Sobolev-Lebesgue spaces. We show how the reaction and diffusion mechanisms have to work together to obtain the asymptotic compactness of solutions and therefore the existence of the compact attractor.
