This research paper focuses on analyzing the current situation regarding the educational and social inclusion of students with disabilities, based on the point of view of students studying at the College of Education and Learning Sciences in Bologna (Italy). Due to the complexity of the educational situation being analyzed, a descriptive methodological approach was followed, collecting and analyzing quantitative data through a survey. The data sample was obtained incidentally by taking advantage of the research collaboration of one of the authors who was present in Bologna. Overall, the results indicate that these students hold generally positive opinions and attitudes toward the inclusion of disabled students. It should be noted, however, that an improvement in basic training is needed, and that studies should be conducted on educational practice aiming to further develop the implementation of action plans based on academic quality in order to include students with disabilities in higher education., Este trabajo de investigación se centra en el análisis de la situación actual en lo que respecta a la inclusión educativa y social de estudiantes con discapacidades, desde el punto de vista de estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación y del Aprendizaje de la Universidad de Bolonia (Italia). Debido a la complejidad de la situación educativa que se analiza, se siguió un enfoque metodológico descriptivo que consiste en recopilar y analizar datos cuantitativos a través de una encuesta. La muestra de datos se obtuvo de manera incidental, aprovechando la colaboración investigadora de uno de los autores que estuvo presente en Bolonia. En general, los resultados indican que estos estudiantes suelen tener opiniones y actitudes positivas hacia la inclusión de estudiantes discapacitados. Sin embargo, cabe señalar que hace falta mejorar la formación básica y que se deben realizar estudios sobre la práctica educativa con el fin de potenciar la implementación de planes de acción basados en la calidad académica con miras a la inclusión de estudiantes con discapacidades en la educación superior.

The main objective of this study is to know the perceptions of satisfaction and fulfillment of expectations regarding the organizational climate of Higher Education Institutions in Ecuador. For it, after applying an adapted questionnaire based on a proposal prepared by the National Institute for the Evaluation of Education in Mexico, a quantitative analysis, descriptive and comparative type has been carried out, from which are derived key guidelines for the design and implementation of strategies to promote a framework of positive interactions as a prelude to a quality education., El objetivo principal de este estudio es conocer las percepciones sobre la satisfacción y el cumplimiento de las expectativas respecto al clima organizacional de las Instituciones de Educación Superior en Ecuador. Para ello, tras la aplicación de un cuestionario adaptado partiendo de una propuesta elaborada por el Instituto Nacional para la Evaluación de la Educación en México, se ha realizado un análisis de carácter cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo y comparativo, a partir del cual se derivan las pautas claves para el diseño e implementación de estrategias que favorezcan un marco de interacciones positivas como preludio de una educación de calidad.

The stigma of healthcare professionals can affect both recovery time and patients’ own self-stigma. In universities, it is necessary to reduce these prejudices through training on mental health.Purpose: The purpose of this research has been to assess the use of educational escape rooms as a learning and awareness strategy on stigmatizing attitudes towards people with serious mental disorders in university students.Methods: An online escape room has been designed whose narrative shows the daily life of a person with a serious mental illness. An exploratory qualitative study has been carried out to explore the perception of 44 university students from two Andalusian universities about this escape room.Results: The results of the study show that most of the interviewed students consider that the educational escape room has been a fun and motivating learning strategy, which has allowed them to learn cooperatively and empathize with the protagonist with a mental disorder.Conclusion: Online escape rooms can be a useful strategy for teaching health sciences students. Considering it a fun activity, students are more participatory and engaged to the curricular content, in our case, stigmatizing attitudes towards people with serious mental disorders.Keywords: escape room, stigma, serious mental disorder

This paper addresses an issue of concern with regards to the teaching of competencies within the context of undergraduate university studies, in this case, in the field of social work. In it, we question if the basic curricular processes of the explicit instructional, teaching and assessment system regarding specific competencies of professional social work are effective in promoting, improving or training in the performance of these specific competencies, or if, on the hand, they are axiological in nature and can better explain the performance of specific competencies by undergraduate students studying social work. A survey method has been followed, analyzing the interaction between these three factors in relation to the self-perception of competency performance. The results suggest that the subjective assessment of the competencies by undergraduate students of social work could affect the relationship between the perception of teaching and evaluation of competencies and the subjective level of their own competency in them. These results provoke an inescapable reflection on the validity of pedagogical practices for promoting the self-assessed performance of the specific competencies of social work by future professional practitioners, opening the door to a reflection on the ways of influencing the competency performance of the current teaching and evaluation processes in higher education., En este trabajo se aborda una cuestión que nos preocupa especialmente dentro del enfoque de enseñanza por competencias presente en los estudios universitarios, en este caso en los de trabajo social. Nos preguntamos si los procesos curriculares básicos del sistema instruccional, enseñanza y evaluación explícitas en el caso del abordaje de las competencias específicas del profesional del trabajo social, están siendo efectivos para promover, mejorar o capacitar en el desempeño de dichas competen-cias específicas, o si por el contrario son elementos de otra índole, axiológica, los que mejor explican el desempeño de las competencias específicas en los estudiantes del grado en trabajo social. Se ha seguido un método de encuesta. Los datos fueron analizados empleando un análisis de regresión lineal de dos pasos con una técnica de bootstrapping de 5,000 remuestreos. Los resultados sugieren que la valoración subjetiva de las competencias por parte de los estudiantes del grado en trabajo social podría afectar a la relación existente entre la percepción de enseñanza y evaluación de las competencias y el nivel subjetivo de propia competencia en las mismas. Estos resultados provocan una ineludible reflexión sobre la validez de las prácticas pedagógicas para promover el desempeño autopercibido de las competencias específicas del trabajo social por los futuros profesionales acreedores de esas capacidades, abriéndose la puerta a una reflexión sobre los modos de influir en el desempeño competencial de los procesos de enseñanza y evaluación actuales en la educación superior.

Se ha pretendido realizar una investigación empírica de carácter cuantitativo en el contexto almeriense acerca de la opinión que los familiares del alumnado de Primaria tiene acerca de la utilidad que dichas tecnologías están representando para la educación de sus hijos, sus limitaciones, los obstáculos que aprecian sobre su inserción en los currículos escolares y aquellas actuaciones que convendría realizar sobre dicha temática. El carácter descriptivo y comparativo de los resultados nos ayuda a vislumbrar la opinión positiva respecto a su uso en los centros y en el hogar y la necesidad de formación específica para los familiares con objeto de tutorizar un uso adecuado del mismo., Nous avons essayé de faire une recherche empirique quantitative dans le cadre d’Almeria sur l’idée que les familles des élèves de l’Éducation Primaire ont sur l’utilité de ces technologies pour l’éducation de leurs enfants, ses limites, les obstacles à apprécier à propos de son inclusion dans les programmes scolaires et les actions que doivent être menées sur ce sujet. La nature descriptive et comparative des résultats peut nous aider à voir l’avis positif quant à son utilisation dans les écoles et à la maison et la nécessité d’une formation spécifique pour les familles afin de favoriser un bon usage., We have tried to carry out an empirical quantitative research in Almeria context about the opinion that families of students of Primary Education have about usefulness that these technologies are playing for the education of their children, its limitations, obstacles appreciated about its insertion in school curricula and those actions that should be carried out on this matter. The descriptive and comparative nature of the results can help us see the positive opinion regarding its use in schools and at home and the need for specific training for the families in order to tutoring a suitable use.

The aims of this study are to identify the interpersonal value profiles and analyze whether there are differences with respect to behavior and social attitude in a sample made up of 885 Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) students (14-17 years), of whom 49.8% (n = 441) were males and 50.2% (n = 444) were females. The results show the identification of three different interpersonal value profiles corresponding to different levels of antisocial and criminal behavior. Thus the ARL-BCB (high recognition and leadership – low conformity and benevolence) group had the most antisocial and criminal behavior, low levels of social sensitivity, conformity and helpfulness-collaboration, and high levels of dominance, aggressiveness-stubbornness and apathy-isolation. Points that need to be worked on in preventive intervention of antisocial and criminal behavior of students by improving their social attitudes are highlighted.; Los objetivos de este trabajo son identificar los diferentes perfiles de valores interpersonales y analizar si entre ellos, existen diferencias respecto a la conducta y actitud social. Todo ello, en una muestra formada por 885 alumnos de Educación Secundaria (14 a 17 años), de los cuales, el 49.8% (n= 441) son hombres y el 50.2% (n = 444) mujeres. Los resultados muestran la identificación de tres perfiles de valores interpersonales diferentes, correspondiéndose con diferentes niveles de conductas delictivas y antisociales. Así, el grupo con mayor presencia de ambas conductas, antisociales y delictivas, bajos niveles de sensibilidad social, conformidad y ayuda- colaboración, y altos niveles de dominancia, agresividad-terquedad y apatía-retraimiento es el ARL-BCB (alto reconocimiento y liderazgo -baja conformidad y benevolencia-). Finalmente, se ponen de relieve los aspectos a trabajar en la intervención preventiva de las conductas antisociales y delictivas del alumnado a través de la mejora de las actitudes sociales.

The aims of this study are to identify the interpersonal value profiles and analyze whether there are differences with respect to behavior and social attitude in a sample made up of 885 Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) students (14-17 years), of whom 49.8% (n = 441) were males and 50.2% (n = 444) were females. The results show the identification of three different interpersonal value profiles corresponding to different levels of antisocial and criminal behavior. Thus the ARL-BCB (high recognition and leadership – low conformity and benevolence) group had the most antisocial and criminal behavior, low levels of social sensitivity, conformity and helpfulness-collaboration, and high levels of dominance, aggressiveness-stubbornness and apathy-isolation. El auge que el término inclusión está consiguiendo en la actualidad está cambiando la filosofía de trabajo en los centros escolares. Sin embargo, el profesorado en la actualidad necesita adaptarse a los cambios que se producen para poder responder a las necesidades que conlleva este modelo de educación, siendo relevante la formación del mismo, tanto la inicial como la permanente. Se comentan, además, elementos que favorecen este tipo de escuela, divididos en el ámbito metodológico, aprendizaje cooperativo y trabajo por proyectos, y organizativo, comunidad de aprendizaje, grupos interactivos y redes de escuelas. Además, se realiza una reseña de investigaciones acerca de la introducción de dichos elementos en la escuela inclusiva.

Habiendo transcurrido veinte años de andadura y desarrollo profesional desde el surgimiento del maestro de audición y lenguaje (AL) itinerante, parece conveniente reflexionar sobre el papel que ha venido desempeñando esta figura con objeto de aprehender las consideraciones oportunas que mejoren los planteamientos a adoptar de cara a promover la calidad de su actuación educativa. Por otra parte, nos encontramos inmersos en la actualidad en un proceso de reforma universitaria que afectará al conjunto de los roles profesionales de los docentes del siglo XXI, siendo necesario realizar aportaciones que delimiten y refuercen el ámbito de la atención a la diversidad en la formación inicial de los maestros al desaparecer las especialidades universitarias que se encargaban de dicha actuación. Con este estudio se pretende contribuir a la comprensión de la realidad de la acción educativa de estos profesionales realizando un análisis del grado de satisfacción profesional que se denota en dicho colectivo con relación a la labor que vienen desarrollando en los centros educativos.

Habiendo transcurrido veinte años de andadura y desarrollo profesional desde el surgimiento del maestro de audición y lenguaje (AL) itinerante, parece conveniente reflexionar sobre el papel que ha venido desempeñando esta figura con objeto de aprehender las consideraciones oportunas que mejoren los planteamientos a adoptar de cara a promover la calidad de su actuación educativa. Por otra parte, si bien a nivel formativo el plan de estudio de estos profesionales se ha visto afectado y mermado en su especificidad a causa de la nueva estructura de grados y menciones, a nivel de ocupación laboral dicha figura se ha consolidado como especialidad docente a partir de la publicación del Real Decreto 1594/2011, de 4 de noviembre (BOE 9-11-2011). Con este estudio se pretende contribuir a la comprensión de la construcción de este perfil profesional, realizando un recorrido por la formación que han recibido, la experiencia previa de carácter laboral que mantienen y la forma de acceso a los puestos de trabajo que desarrollan.

El estudio que se presenta es resultado de una investigación realizada en el ámbito institucional de un centro de Secundaria con la intención de comprender la singularidad de la vida de una chica adolescente inmigrante desde su propia voz y a partir de su experiencia escolar, entendiendo ésta en su dimensión global, en la que se conjugan circunstancias personales, culturales, sociales, institucionales y académicas en constante diálogo, emergiendo una propia e idiosincrásica identidad. Situado en un paradigma naturalista y bajo un diseño etnográfico, el estudio adopta la forma de narrativa temporal para finalizar con unos apuntes para la reflexión que, a modo de conclusiones, evidencian la necesidad de contemplar a los estudiantes más allá de su rendimiento académico y de un patrón escolar homogéneo.

At a time like the present in which it is occurring simultaneously the rapid rise of technology development in advanced societies with the expansion of a global economic crisis that challenges the basic pillars of the welfare state, we can not leave aside the consideration of the principles from the perspective inclusive education as a safeguard social model established, requiring the incardination of the possibilities offered by the digital world in education as a way to ensure the development of all citizens and avoid further social fragmentation. Given this scenario, in this article we will make a description of those challenges and social commitments, in our opinion, should be undertaken to political and institutional level if we go for the consolidation of an inclusive society, and specifically, by attention to the needs education of students with disabilities, before the advances of the digital age., En una época como la actual, en la cual se está produciendo de manera simultánea el auge vertiginoso del desarrollo tecnológico en las sociedades avanzadas junto a la expansión de una crisis económica a nivel mundial que pone en entredicho los pilares más básicos de la sociedad del bienestar, no podemos dejar de lado la consideración de los principios inclusivos desde la perspectiva educativa, como salvaguarda del modelo social establecido, siendo necesaria la incardinación de las posibilidades que nos ofrece el mundo digital en la educación como vía para garantizar el desarrollo del conjunto de los ciudadanos y evitar así una mayor fragmentación social. Ante dicho panorama, en el presente artículo realizaremos una descripción de aquellos retos y compromisos sociales que, a nuestro entender, deberían acometerse a nivel político e institucional si queremos apostar por la consolidación de una sociedad inclusiva y, concretamente, por la atención a las necesidades educativas del alumnado con discapacidad, ante los avances de la era digital.
