This study measures the learning outcomes of the cognitive domain to obtain accurate information about aspects of student domain ability. Cognitive learning outcomes were researched to implement science learning through outing classes using e-books based on local wisdom. This study aims to determine the effect of e-books based on local wisdom on the cognitive learning outcomes of Junior High School students. This study is a quasi-experiment in two groups, namely experimental class (E) and control Class (K), using a direct learning model with a sample of students in class 7K of 33 students and class 7I of 35 students. Data collection techniques using Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The study was conducted by inviting students to do outing class learning using e-books, and tests were conducted using pretest and post-test sheets. The research Instrument used consisted of cognitive questions totaling 20 multiple choice questions with data analysis using inferential statistics with a T-test (independent samples t-test) on SPSS version 26. Results research shows no significant effect on the use of e-books based on local wisdom on the classification of living things, where the learning outcomes of experimental classes with e-book treatment are higher than the control class without e-book treatment. Thus, using e-books based on local wisdom is quite influential in improving cognitive understanding and student learning outcomes.

A educação para as relações étnico-raciais visa contribuir para o sucesso das políticas públicas de estado incentivando a reeducação das relações entre negros e brancos no país, assim como, o reconhecimento e valorização da identidade, da cultura e da história dos negros brasileiros, conforme preconizado pela Lei nº 10.639/2003 e Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais. Este trabalho apresenta o desenvolvimento e a avaliação de uma tecnologia educacional sob a forma de um e-book interativo sobre jogos africanos e afro-brasileiros para mediar processos de ensino e aprendizagem de princípios matemáticos e estímulo à concentração/atenção dos estudantes, fomentando de modo transversal a educação para as relações étnico-raciais. Trata-se de um estudo metodológico. O e-book foi elaborado a partir das etapas de planejamento, produção, implementação e avaliação. A tecnologia foi avaliada por juízes-especialistas através do Índice de Validade de Conteúdo.

A characteristic of students in 21st century learning is critical thinking, having the ability & willingness to digital literacy, ICT and new media, as well as adaptive and flexible initiative. However, currently, junior high school students' critical thinking abilities are still at a low level. Therefore, this research aims to develop e-book mathematics learning media based on PjBL-STEM assisted by Geometry Calculator to improve students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE development model which includes five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The research subject was MTs NU Mranggen class VIII. The research instruments were material validation questionnaires, media validation questionnaires, and student critical thinking tests. The research results showed that (1) The media was declared suitable for use according to material experts, the validity level of the three material experts was 82%, 86% and 93%, while the validity level of the two media experts was 86% and 92%. (2) The average score for the experimental class was 81.04 while the control class was 64.96, so the learning media was declared effective. This research is very useful for improving students' critical thinking skills through developing a PjBL-STEM based e-book with the help of a Geometry Calculator on circle material used in learning. The unique thing about this research is that it is easier for students to learn because they use e-books which can be read anywhere and anytime. Apart from that, the e-book contains the PjBL-STEM learning method with the help of a Geometry Calculator which can make it easier for students in the learning process. Suatu karakteristik siswa pada pembelajaran abad 21 yaitu berpikir kritis, memiliki kemampuan & kemauan literasi digital, ICT dan media baru, serta terinisiatif yang adaptif dan fleksibel. Namun saat ini, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP masih pada tingkatan rendah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika e-book berbasis PjBL-STEM berbantuan Geometry Calculator untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahapan yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah MTs NU Mranggen kelas VIII. Instrumen penelitian berupa validasi angket materi, validasi angket media, dan tes berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Media dinyatakan layak pakai menurut ahli materi, tingkat validitas ketiga ahli materi adalah 82%, 86% dan 93%, sedangkan tingkat validitas kedua ahli media adalah 86% dan 92 %. (2) Hasil nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 81,04 sedangkan kelas kontrol 64,96 sehingga media pembelajaran dinyatakan efektif. Penelitian ini sangat berguna untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pengembangan e-book berbasis PjBL-STEM berbantuan Geometry Calculator terhadap materi lingkaran yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Hal unik dari penelitian ini yaitu siswa lebih mudah untuk belajar karena menggunakan e-book yang dapat dibaca dimanapun dan kapanpun. Selain itu, e-book tersebut di dalamnya memuat metode pembelajaran PjBL-STEM yang berbantuan Geometry Calculator yang dapat memudahkan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.

Revolusi Industri 4.0 telah membawa dampak besar, baik dalam hal inovasi maupun efisiensi, namun juga menimbulkan tantangan baru terkait dengan keamanan dan perubahan sosial. Dengan meningkatnya akses informasi melalui internet, penggunaan internet di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, terutama di kalangan siswa sekolah. Di tengah arus informasi yang tak terbatas, literasi digital menjadi kunci untuk menyaring informasi yang relevan dan dapat dipercaya. Pendidikan dasar memegang peranan penting dalam pengembangan literasi untuk tingkat yang lebih lanjut. Namun, tantangan learning loss atau penurunan prestasi akademik menjadi fokus global, terutama sejak munculnya pandemi COVID-19. Tingkat putus sekolah, terutama di tingkat dasar, ikut memperparah masalah learning loss, yang berdampak pada kemampuan tradisional seperti bahasa dan matematika. Dalam penelitian ini, learning loss mengacu pada rendahnya capaian literasi yang tercatat dalam rapor pendidikan tahun 2023 di sekolah dasar. Upaya mengatasi learning loss dengan penggunaan e-book menjadi solusi yang menarik dengan menyediakan akses ke sumber belajar digital yang interaktif. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kuasi eksperimen, yang membandingkan 2 kelompok siswa kelas 5 Sekolah Dasar Negeri Grogol 1 dan 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan e-book oleh kelompok siswa SDN Grogol 2 dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia terbukti lebih efektif dibandingkan kelompok siswa SDN Grogol 1 yang melaksanakan aktivitas pembelajaran non-e-book/ekspositori. Literasi digital siswa juga berpengaruh terhadap hasil tes kognitif mereka, namun tidak ada interaksi signifikan antara penggunaan e-book dan literasi digital siswa dalam memengaruhi hasil tes kognitif. Meskipun demikian, keduanya secara independen membantu meningkatkan hasil tes kognitif siswa. Ini menunjukkan bahwa baik penggunaan e-book maupun literasi digital siswa sama-sama memiliki dampak positif yang dapat membantu memulihkan learning loss.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan karakter dan rasa nasionalisme serta menambah wawasan tentang lagu wajib nasional di sekolah dasar. Studi ini berfokus pada pembiasaan menyanyikan lagu wajib nasional kepada siswa di sekolah dasar menggunakan media berupa E-book Kawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan design and development yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu define, design, development, and disseminate. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 55 siswa yang dibagi kedalam tiga uji coba yang dilakukan, yaitu uji coba perorangan dengan jumlah siswa 10 orang, uji coba kelompok kecil dengan jumlah siswa 15 orang, dan uji coba kelompok besar dengan jumlah siswa 30 orang. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari analisis kebutuhan yang sudah dilakukan, dengan menggunakan angket respon siswa dan angket validasi para ahli dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan e-book kawan ini memperoleh kategori “sangat layak” dengan perolehan nilai sebesar 92,5% dari hasil validasi ahli. Lalu dari angket respon siswa pun diperoleh hasil sebesar 96,1% dari uji coba perorangan, dari hasil uji coba kelompok kecil diperoleh hasil sebesar 93,8%, dan dari uji coba kelompok besar diperoleh hasil sebesar 92,6%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-book kawan masuk kedalam kategori “sangat layak” dan bisa dijadikan media bantu dalam menanamkan karakter dan rasa nasionalisme.

Background: Education on disaster mitigation remains critically underemphasized, with existing pedagogical approaches often falling short in adequately preparing children for the realities of natural disasters. This gap underscores the urgent need for innovative educational tools that can effectively enhance disaster literacy among younger populations. Aim: This study aims to develop and assess an Earthquake E-Book designed to elevate the disaster literacy levels among children, focusing on its validity, practicality, and effectiveness as educational media. Method: Employing a Research and Development (RD) framework, the study navigated through stages of problem identification, design formulation, and implementation, excluding the evaluation phase to concentrate on the developmental process. The implementation employed a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design, involving pretesting, intervention (treatment), and posttesting phases. The e-book's validity was appraised by three expert validators, while its practicality was gauged through student questionnaires, and its effectiveness was measured using the N-Gain test on student learning outcomes. Results: The Earthquake E-Book garnered an average validation score of 85.4%, positioning it within the valid category. Practicality assessments reflected an 85.4% efficiency rating from student feedback. Furthermore, the effectiveness, as indicated by an N-Gain score of 0.74, was classified within the high category, signifying substantial improvements in children's disaster literacy post-intervention. Conclusions: The findings affirm that the Earthquake E-Book stands as a valid, practical, and effective educational tool in bolstering disaster literacy among children. By integrating this digital resource into disaster mitigation education, it is anticipated to significantly contribute to enhancing children's understanding and preparedness for earthquake disasters.

This study aims to investigate the utilization of digital collections (e-books) as a source of information at the Library UPT of Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar and the challenges faced in their utilization. The study adopts a descriptive approach with a qualitative method. Primary data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation from 2 librarians and 10 library users. Data processing and analysis techniques involved data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the utilization of digital collections (e-books) at the Library UPT of Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar has been implemented. There are 435 active members and a total of 7,800 readers utilizing the library's digital collection (e-books). Factors influencing the utilization of digital collections (e-books) include user needs, user interest, and the completeness of the collection. The digital collection (e-books) have significantly contributed to supporting academic tasks and thesis writing, providing easy access without restrictions of time and space. With a collection of 1,764 digital titles, the information needs of users are well fulfilled through the provided digital collection (e-books). More library users utilize digital collections (e-books) compared to printed books. However, challenges faced by users in the utilization of digital collections (e-books) include a lack of promotion by the library to users, inadequate network infrastructure, and a time-consuming registration process. To enhance the utilization of digital collections (e-books), the library needs to improve effective promotion to users, address network issues, and expedite and simplify the registration process. By taking these steps, it is expected that users will find it easier and more convenient to utilize the digital collection (e-books) as a source of information at the Library UPT of Alauddin State Islamic University Makassar.

This research aims to develop a training model for basic hammer throwing techniques at the age of 13-15 years and determine the effectiveness of the training model that has been developed. The problem that is the basis for conducting this research is that several literatures have not found a hammer throwing training model for 13-15 year olds in DKI Jakarta Province using an e-book basis. The method used in this research is Borg and Gall research and development through 10 development steps. Participants involved in the small group test were 15 athletes in DKI Jakarta Province and in the large group test 32 athletes. Then the participants involved in testing the effectiveness of the model were 32 athletes who were divided into 2, namely 16 athletes in the control group and 16 athletes in the experimental group. Based on the results of the N-Gain Score (%) test calculation, it shows that the average value of the N-Gain Score for the experimental group is 81.4321 or 81.43%, which is included in the effective category. Meanwhile, the average N-Gain Score for the control group was 34.88 or 34.88%, which was included in the Ineffective category. From the results of these calculations it can be seen that the use of the training model in the experimental group was effective in improving basic hammer throwing technique skills.

The book, as one of the oldest forms of the written word, is at a turning point that is likely to play a major role in the further development of humanity. We are witnessing the transition of the book into an immaterial form and the transformation of the book. However, centuries and centuries have passed in which the book developed and evolved, so that today its physical and material form has slowly turned into an intangible one. The paper shows the development and evolution of the book from its origin to its metamorphosis into a completely different dimension.

The aim of this research is to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of E-Books based on the TaRL model as teaching materials in learning basic reading literacy at elementary school level. The Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) model is a model used to improve a person's reading ability according to their reading ability level. TaRL has been empirically proven to be able to improve students' reading abilities. This research was designed using the Research & Development method, Design Based Research model. Data was obtained using questionnaire instruments, observations and interviews. Questionnaires are needed to validate media and materials followed by interviews. The results of this research are in the form of an E-Book product which contains basic reading literacy learning packages for each reading ability level group. The results of product validation tests by media experts show that this E-Book is valid with several notes. Meanwhile, the results of validation tests by material experts show that this E-Book is valid, provided that its contextual value is increased by local stories typical of the local area. This e-book is also effective based on limited response from those who use it on a small scale. Thus, E-Books with the TaRL model are declared very suitable and effective for use in learning Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan efektivitas E-Book berbasis model TaRL sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran literasi dasar membaca pada jenjang SD. Model Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) merupakan model yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca seseorang sesuai tingkat kemampuan baca. TaRL terbukti secara empiris mampu meningkatkan kemampuan baca pebelajar. Penelitian ini didesain menggunakan metode Research & Development model Design Based Research. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen kuisioner, observasi dan wawancara. Kuisioner diperlukan untuk validasi media maupun materi yang dilanjutkan dengan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini berupa produk E-Book yang memuat paket pembelajaran literasi dasar membaca untuk masing-masing kelompok tingkat kemampuan membaca. Hasil uji validasi produk oleh ahli media menunjukkan bahwa E-Book ini valid dengan beberapa catatan. Sementara hasil uji validasi oleh ahli materi diketahui bahwa E-Book ini valid dengan catatan supaya nilai kontekstualnya bertambah dengan cerita lokal khas daerah setempat. E-Book ini juga efektif berdasarkan tanggapan terbatas dari yang memanfaatkan dalam skala kecil. Dengan demikian E-Book dengan model TaRL dinyatakan sangat layak dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

The problem in this research is that there are no application-based books created by the lecturers when teaching sepak takraw courses. This is a quantitative descriptive research using the survey method with 23 respondents from the third-semester students of the Physical Education and Health Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University. This study concluded that a Flip PDF Professional-based e-Book is necessary for the sepak takraw learning course. Therefore, Flip PDF Professional-based e-Book for sepak takraw learning course can help students understand the material because of its’ interesting presentation and variations.

Students use their smartphones for daily tasks whenever and wherever they go, and they interact with their surroundings more directly as a result. One media that carries out the advancement of technology and communication is electronic books or e-books. E-books are one kind of educational resource that needs to be created because students may easily access them only using smartphones, either offline or online. Local learning resources can be used to train critical thinking skills. This development research aims to examine the expectation and actual effectiveness of e-books to train students’ critical thinking skills. The research method used Tessmer’s formative evaluation design. The research results show that expected effectiveness got an N-gain score of 0.47 in the medium category, and actual effectiveness got an N-gain score of 0.50 in the medium category. In conclusion, it shows that the e-book “Ethno-Ecology Study of Magnoliopsida in Desa Kiram” is to be used as training material for students’ critical thinking skills. Abstrak Penggunaan smartphone tidak terlepas dari kegiatan sehari-hari kapanpun dan di manapun mahasiswa berada, serta mahasiswa lebih sering berinteraksi langsung dengan lingkungan sekitar mereka. Salah satu media yang mengimplementasikan perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi adalah E-book. E-book menjadi media pembelajaran yang perlu dikembangkan karena mudah diakses oleh mahasiswa hanya dengan penggunaan smartphone secara offline ataupun online. Sumber belajar berpotensi lokal dapat digunakan dalam melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan harapan dan aktual e-book dalam melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain evaluasi formatif Tessmer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keefektifan harapan memperoleh skor N-gain 0,47 dengan kategori sedang, dan keefektifan aktual memperoleh skor N-gain 0,50 dengan kategori sedang. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-book “Kajian Etno-Ekologi Magnoliopsida di Desa Kiram” yang dikembangkan efektif dalam melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa.

Independence in learning is very necessary for the application of online learning. Students as learners must have Self Directed Learning. This study aims to develop independent learning resources to facilitate student learning independence. Development research using the ADDIE model is carried out until the development stage. Needs analysis is conducted on 49 Biology Education Students with data collection instruments using the SDL test consisting of 5 question indicators: 1) Identifying learning needs; 2) Set up study routines and discover concept mappings; 3) Using concept/outline mapping as a useful understanding various information; 4) Self-assessment, honing potential; 5) Can explore self-ability. The test results show that in indicator 1 there are 9 students (18.37%) and indicator 5 as many as 11 students (22.45%) who have SDL abilities. The results of the needs analysis become the basis for the development of interactive electronic books through features such as material summaries, images, animations, videos, references (links and barcodes), interactive exercises, keywords, interest facts, practice questions, formative tests, and reflections. It is hoped that this interactive e-book can increase the independence of undergraduate and PPG students in studying biotechnology material as a source of independent learning. Abstrak Kemandirian belajar sangat diperlukan dalam penerapan pembelajaran daring. Mahasiswa sebagai pembelajar harus memiliki kemandirian belajar (Self Directed Learning/SDL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sumber belajar mandiri untuk memfasilitasi kemandirian belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE penelitian ini dilakukan sampai tahap development. Analisis kebutuhan, dilakukan pada 49 orang Mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi dengan instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan tes SDL terdiri dari 5 indikator pertanyaan: 1) Mengidentifikasi kebutuhan belajar; 2) Mengatur rutinitas belajar dan menemukan pemetaan konsep; 3) Menggunakan pemetaan konsep/garis besar sebagai metode yang berguna untuk memahami berbagai informasi; 4) Menilai sendiri, merefleksikan dan mengasah potensi; 5) Bisa mengeksplor kemampuan diri. Hasil tes menunjukkan pada indikator 1 sebanyak 9 orang (18,37%) dan 5 sebanyak 11 orang (22,45%) yang memiliki kemampuan SDL. Hasil analisis kebutuhan menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan buku elektronik interaktif melalui fitur-fitur barupa ringkasan materi, gambar, animasi, video, referensi (link dan barcode), latihan interaktif, key word, interesring fact, latihan soal, tes formatif dan refleksi. Diharapkan e-book interaktif ini dapat meningkatkan kemandirian mahasiswa S1 dan PPG dalam mempelajari materi bioteknologi sebagai sumber belajar mandiri.

Learning outcomes obtained by students is one of the factors that determine success in the learning process. However, it is very unfortunate that not all students get optimal learning results. This classroom action research aims to analyze the increase in student learning outcomes through the application of the jigsaw learning model in sports massage lectures. Implementation of the action consists of two cycles with each cycle consisting of 4 meetings. The research subjects consisted of 39 physical education students. Collecting research data using written tests and skills tests. Data analysis was performed using a quantitative description. The results of the study revealed that the average value of cycle 1 learning outcomes was 63.85 and classical completeness was 62.23%. While the average value of learning outcomes in cycle 2 is 80.08 and classical completeness is 87.18%. Based on the results of this study it was concluded that the application of the jigsaw learning model assisted by e-books and audiovisual media proved effective in improving student learning outcomes in sports massage lectures.

Keyword extraction is one of the most important issues in text processing and analysis and provides a high-level and accurate summary of the text. Therefore, choosing the right method to extract keywords from the text is important. The aim of the present study was to compare the performance of three approaches in discovering and extracting the subject keywords of e-books using text mining and machine learning techniques. In this regard, three experimental approaches have been introduced and compared including the successive implementation of the clustering process, improving the quality of clusters in terms of semantics and enriching the stop words of a specific field, use of specialized keyword template, finally, the use of important parts of the text in discovering and extracting key words and important topics of the text. The statistical population includes 1000 e-book titles from the subject fields of library and information science based on the congress classification system. Bibliographic information of e-books was obtained from the Congress Library database, then the original text was prepared. The extraction of topic keywords and clustering of training data was performed using the non-negative matrix factorization algorithm with three experimental approaches. The quality and performance of the subject clusters resulting from the implementation of three approaches in the automatic classification of experimental data were compared using a support vector machine. The findings showed that the Hamming loss (0.020) and in other words the error rate in the correct classification of experimental texts in the third approach is far less than the other two approaches. Also, the F1 score (0.82), which is the average of the two criteria of precision (0.87) and recall (0.78) and is a reflection of the correct performance of the classification process in topic labeling of texts, is better in the third approach than the other two approaches. The results showed that the quality and semantic coherence of the subject clusters obtained from the third approach, i.e. the use of important parts of the text in discovering and extracting the subject, was better compared to other two approaches. In this approach, by focusing on the main parts of the data, which represent the main content and theme of the text, more meaningful topic clusters were obtained. In addition, the keywords obtained from the topic cluster of the third approach can be used in unspecified and unknown collections in order to extract the unknown thematic content of the whole collection. The results of third approach also was better in terms of accuracy and readability (0.79) and the rate of classification error (0.020) of texts, in comparison of other two approaches.

A Leap into the Digital World: A Shared, Multimedia Project in German Language Acquisition. The German saying “jumping into cold water” means that you find yourself in a new situation with no forewarning. Being thrown into the digital universe by the pandemic was similar, but after taking the first few steps and looking for new ideas and useful tools, we discovered various interactive tools which made online lessons more creative. This article illustrates the design, planning and realization of a collective project in 2020 at the University of Bologna Language Centre, using the application Bookcreator. The proposed assignment is part of the traditional curriculum in A1 German courses: learning how to present oneself to others. Transferring the assignment from paper to an online context enriched the whole task and allowed the participants to use a combination of different media. This method stimulated digital storytelling, the narration by means of digital tools, and resulted in the creation of an e-book. This project shows that digital tools can be used not only to convey linguistic notions, but also to increase motivation, autonomy and creativity in experimenting with language.

Abstract This community service project aims to train secondary school teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Mandau, Duri-Riau, to create electronic books (e-books) using Flipbook software. The objective is to equip teachers with the necessary skills to develop e-books as online and face-to-face instruction materials. These e-books allow students to access them anytime, anywhere, particularly during remote learning. The training program spanned two weeks and included training and mentoring sessions, with 30 participants in attendance. Flipbuilder and Kvisoft Flipbook Maker were utilized as flipbook maker applications. The training yielded positive results, demonstrating participants' proficiency in creating and designing e-books for online use. The future goal is to enhance these e-books further and publish them as teaching materials with an ISSN. Keywords: e-book, flipbook maker, English material, Senior high School

Modern technologies have a decisive impact on almost all spheres of human activity, thereby providing opportunities for the development of various forms of objects that are already familiar to us. This study is devoted to the research of new forms of printed and electronic books, the analysis of the specifics and features of the transformation of familiar forms in the context of the development of innovative technologies. An attempt was made to predict further development paths and prospects for long-term coexistence of traditional and electronic publications, areas of their confrontation and interaction.

This study aims to develop and analyze the validity of the e-book on environmental pollution based on socio-scientific issues to improve students' argumentation skills. The development of the e-book uses the ADDIE design (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), but this research has only reached the development stage (Development/D). This study used a qualitative descriptive analysis using a validation sheet instrument in the form of a questionnaire by two experts: material experts and technology/application experts. Data analysis technique using Content Validity Ratio (CVR). The validation results of material experts got a score of 98.38% in the very feasible category, while the application/technology expert for evaluating the application of content and language feasibility, respectively, got a score of 85.94% and 81.58% in the very feasible category. Based on the assessment results of the two validators, the e-book on environmental pollution based on socio-scientific issues was declared valid and suitable for use in the learning process. The conceptual implication of this study is that environmental pollution e-books based on socio-scientific issues can facilitate students in developing argumentation skills. As for the practical implications, the e-book can be used as an innovation as a Biology learning resource that makes it easier for students to learn independently and streamlines the delivery of material in learning activities in the classroom for teachers.

This service activity aims to improve the digital literacy skills of the teachers in SMP YPK Merauke through training in making e-books using the SIGIL application and interactive HOTs questions using Socrative. Implementing this service used training and mentoring based on partner needs. The instrument for evaluating this activity used a questionnaire consisting of 12 statements and was analyzed descriptively. The results of this activity showed that the teachers of SMP YPK Merauke created an interactive e-book using the SIGIL application, which contained not only pictures and text but also video and audio that could make it easier for students to understand the material and increase students' interest in learning. In addition, teachers at SMP YPK Merauke could compile interactive HOTs questions using Socrative, which consisted of questions in the form of multiple choices, true-false, and short answers. They could apply the questions in socrative in the teaching and learning process.

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan terhadap25 orang guru IPS yang tergabung dalam FOGIPSI wilayah Kalimantan Barat, dalam bentuk pelatihan dan pendampingan Pembuatan Ebook pembelajaran IPS Menggunakan Aplikasi Flipbook. Adapun tujuan dari pelaksanaan Pengabdian ini adalah agar guru dapat mengetahui fungsi fitur dalam aplikasi flipbook, mengetahui urutan tahapan pembuatan ebook IPS dengan aplikasi flipbook, dan dapat mengetahui cara mengaitkan audio, gambar dan video dalam ebook IPS dengan aplikasi flipbook. Metode yang diterapkan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini mencakup persiapan, sosialiasi terhadap partisipan, pelatihan dan demonstrasi, praktek, dan presentasi. Adapun hasil dari Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah 1). Peserta yang merupakan guru IPS mampu mengenali fungsi fitur dari aplikasi Flipbook; 2) para guru mampu memahami urutan tahapan dari pembuatan e-book IPS dengan aplikasi Flipbook; dan para guru tersebut mampu untuk mengaitkan suara dan gambar pada e-book yang telah dibuat.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book interaktif mata kuliah Pemahaman Peserta Didik dan Pembelajarannya dengan pendekatan pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis teknologi cloud computing untuk mahasiswa Program Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Prajabatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan yang terdiri dari tiga tahap: penelitian pendahuluan (preliminary research), tahap prototipe (prototype), dan tahap penilaian (assessment), dengan fokus pada pemanfaatan teknologi cloud computing. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, uji validitas, dan efektivitas e-book interaktif yang dikembangkan melalui tahap-tahap yang dirancang sesuai dengan model Akker. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Evaluasi formatif dilakukan untuk menentukan validitas, praktikalitas, dan potensi efek produk. Validitas e-book yang dikembangkan mencapai skor 3.55 (validitas sangat tinggi) setelah dievaluasi oleh ahli dalam konteks desain pembelajaran, media, dan konten. Praktikalitas e-book dinilai tinggi dalam evaluasi satu-satu (skor 3.625) dan sangat tinggi dalam evaluasi kelompok kecil (skor 3.85). Uji lapangan menunjukkan hasil efektivitas sebesar 94.4%, menandakan bahwa e-book interaktif memiliki potensi efek tinggi. E-book ini dapat diterapkan dengan baik pada mahasiswa PPG Prajabatan sebagai sumber referensi yang mendukung pemahaman peserta didik dan pembelajaran melalui pendekatan kolaboratif berbasis teknologi cloud computing.

Adolescents experience successive hormonal, physical, psychological and social changes. Adolescents detach themselves emotionally from their parents to assume social roles. As many as 47.7% of teenagers often feel anxious, and 84% feel repeated feelings of anxiety. One of the anxieties that are handled is the physical changes during puberty. The results of this research on family support are still relatively low, namely 12%. Families are overprotective, lack attention, and feel confused about adolescent emotions. Objective: To determine the effect of e-books on knowledge, attitudes, mother's role and children's readiness to face puberty. Methods: The research design is quasi-experimental. They conducted research in March-September 2022 in the Malaka Jaya sub-district, East Jakarta, with a total sample of 59 mothers and adolescents. The data results were analyzed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon Rank and linear regression tests. Results: This study shows the effect of e-books on knowledge, attitudes and the role of mothers in dealing with pubertal changes with a significance of 0.000, 0.04 and 0.000. Education affects learning with a value of 0.000 and a regression coefficient of 2.787, which means that education increases a mother's knowledge by 2.7 times. There 91.1% of children are ready to be cheerful and ready to go through puberty, with a significance of 0.002. Conclusion: Using e-books increases mothers' role in facing puberty changes, and adolescents can go through puberty well.

The research aims to determine the feasibility or validity of teaching materials in the form of teaching materials in the form of E-Books as a medium for student learning in strategic management courses and to determine the practicality of teaching materials developed by researchers. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) or research and development using the 4D development model consisting of define, design, develop, disseminate. The results of research and development of teaching materials in the form of E-Books are based on the assessment of material experts, media experts and linguists, namely the score obtained on the material expert aspect based on validator 1 is 87.50% and validator 2 is 85%, on the media expert aspect based on the Validator 1 is 90% and validator 2 is 80% and on the linguist aspect based on validator 1 is 85% and validator 2 is 80%. Then for the practicality of teaching materials in the form of E-Books get a score of 84.6%. From the results of this study it can be concluded that this research produces teaching materials in the form of e-books that are valid and practical. The results of the material validation reached the "Very High" category, the media expert validation achieved the "Very High" category, and the language validation achieved the "Very High" category. The practicality category is included in the "Very Practical" category. So it can be concluded that the resulting product is said to be valid and practical.

The aim of the article is to explore the features of the uniqueness of a classic printed book as a valuable source of art studies analysis against the backdrop of dynamic transformations in Ukrainian book design. The article seeks to determine the prospects for its development as an artistic and project form, and ways to preserve the relevant design traditions. Results. The perception of traditional printed books in Ukraine today has changed in the context of the global digitisation of art. In this regard, the following opposing positions of scholars are highlighted: some predict a new phase of life for printed books, which involves the transformation of their socio-cultural role and the acquisition of different artistic content, while others underestimate the potential of traditional paper publications compared to innovative electronic formats. However, it is worth noting that the modern Ukrainian printed book has exclusive visual and aesthetic characteristics, demonstrating a unique synthesis of subject-spatial and artistic-design solutions. These characteristics include the long-term preservation of book design traditions, presentation of the designer's own artistic style (illustrator), tactile features (paper type, frame type, etc.), as well as the consistency of the layout at all levels of its implementation. The article proves this fact by comparing the design features of classic book editions with their alternative forms: electronic (multimedia) and interactive editions, as well as art books. The scientific novelty of the article consists in a comprehensive examination of the coexistence of various book forms on the modern domestic book market, their mutual influence, and the formulation of prospects for the development of the Ukrainian traditional printed books based on theoretical and empirical research of relevant sources, which was carried out for the first time. Conclusions. The article demonstrates that the highest potential of a traditional printed book lies in its highly differentiated design, unique artistic, genre and functional characteristics. The guarantee of the future of such publications is the mandatory presence of artistic and creative components in the book ensemble, as well as a genre-functional variable component.

The pandemic of COVID-19 imposed the necessity to develop the competences of medical specialists and health professionals on the topic “COVID-Rehabilitation”. We prepared educational materials and an electronic repository, including these topics. The current article presents the structure of the course and the learners’ opinion on the benefits of the educational module.

Mobile phone applications have gained more momentum since Google Play (formerly known as Android Market) was launched in 2008. Apart from Google Play, Apple App Store and Amazon App Store have offered billions of applications for users in different fields as well as education. Having this fact in mind, this study was conducted to measure the effects of two Google Play applications on students` pronunciation improvement. To this aim, 40 students who were studying at Tishk International University Language Preparatory School in 2021-2022 Academic Year were chosen by systematic sampling method. Over a 10-week timespan, control group students followed the curriculum traditionally, while experimental group students` curriculum was enriched by Google Play applications including Learn English by Short Stories and Cambridge English Dictionary. The data were collected by two exams and the interview as in line with a mixed methods design research. The former ones were analyzed by SPSS 27 through independent sample t test, while the latter one was transcribed and analyzed by MAXQDA software program. The findings of the study revealed that chosen audiobooks and e-dictionary applications improved students` pronunciation scores significantly. In addition, students` attitudes towards e-books and e-dictionaries by Google Play applications have changed positively. The findings of this study may have some implications for stakeholders of education who consider integrating mobile assisted language learning (MALL) into the curriculum systematically.

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo investigar as potencialidades de um livro digital para o ensino de Literatura e Astronomia numa perspectiva interdisciplinar, em uma turma de primeiro ano do Ensino Médio, de uma instituição privada da cidade de Maringá- PR. Esta pesquisa insere-se no campo das investigações qualitativas do tipo descritiva. Como instrumentos de constituição de dados utilizamos mapas mentais, construídos pelos alunos no início e no final da implementação da proposta, e o diário de campo elaborado pelos pesquisadores. Para a análise e interpretação dos dados utilizamos os pressupostos qualitativos propostos pelos autores Novak, Gowin e Buzan. Nossos resultados evidenciam que os alunos estiveram mobilizados para a realização das atividades, caracterizando assim nosso livro digital como um material potencialmente significativo. Os mapas mentais produzidos nos mostraram ainda que houve uma melhora significativa nos elementos abrangência do assunto e hierarquia, caracterizando assim uma diferenciação progressiva, o que a princípio podemos associar a um indício de aprendizagem significativa.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Untuk mengetahui kevalidan e-book berorientasi HOTS pada materi Selamatkan Makhluk Hidup berkarakter konservasi di kelas VI SD, (2) Untuk mengetahui kepraktisan e-book berorientasi HOTS pada materi Selamatkan Makhluk Hidup berkarakter konservasi di kelas VI SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan Four-D (4D). Subjek penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas VI SD Negeri 6 Kabila Bone dan SD Negeri 1 Ponelo tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi dan respon berupa angket, teknis analisisnya menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa e-book berorientasi HOTS yang dihasilkan memenenuhi standar kelayakan, hal ini dilihat dari hasil validasi ahli materi yang memperoleh persentase tiap aspek yaitu 96%, 97.5%, 90%, dan 100% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan hasil validasi ahli media memperoleh persentase tiap aspek yaitu 96,67%, 100%, 100%, dan 93.3% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Selain itu, standar kelayakan dari e-book berorientasi HOTS ini diperkuat dari hasil uji coba produk kepada guru dan peserta didik yang memberikan respon positif terhadap e-book berorientasi HOTS ini. Dengan demikian e-book berorientasi HOTS pada pembelajaran IPA materi Selamatkan Makhluk Hidup berkarakter konservasi di kelas VI SD ini layak dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Abstract. this study aims to: (1) determine the validity of the HOTS-oriented e-book on the material of Save Living Creatures with conservation characteristics in sixth-grade students of elementary school, and (2) determine the practicality of the HOTS-oriented e-book on the material of Save Living Creatures with conservation characteristics in sixth-grade students of elementary school. This research utilized development research with the Four-D (4D) development model. The subjects of this study were students of the sixth- grade class of SDN 6 Kabila Bone and SDN 1 Ponelo in the academic year of 2020/2021. The data collection instrument utilized a validation sheet, and the response was in the form of a questionnaire, then the technical analysis adopted a Likert scale. The findings indicated that the HOTS- oriented e-book fulfis the eligibility standards. It is proven by the results of material expert validation which obtained the percentage of each aspect of 96%, 97.5%, 90%, and 100% with excellent criteria. Besides, the results of media expert validation obtained the percentage of each aspect that is 96.67%, 100%, 100%, and 93.3%, which is also in excellent criteria. In addition, the feasibility standard of this HOTS-oriented e-book was strengthened by the results of product trials for teachers and students who gave a positive response to this HOTS-oriented e-book. Thus, the HOTS- oriented e-book on science learning in material of Save Living Creatures with conservation characteristics in class VI SD is feasible and usable in the learning.

The covid-19 pandemic has changed the pattern of learning and information tracing in the world of education. This condition becomes a challenge for academics amid various limitations and new habits. In addition to the problem of online learning, currently, students are also faced with difficulties in finding and accessing references to support online learning given the limitations of library services that have not provided loans and reading services online. This condition is faced by the partner of the service program, namely students of Fisip UHO. Problems faced by partners, first limited knowledge in access ebook services and open access e-journal. Second, the ability to use Mendeley as a means of citation scientific work. Solving the problem is done through ebook access training, e-journal and the use of Mendeley continued with the practice of finding open access reference sources and doing the citation independently in Mendeley The results showed significant changes in knowledge and skills for access to ebooks and e-journal services as well as Mendeley. There are only 60% of partners understand ebook access, 64% understand e-journal access, and there are 33.3% of partners who ady understand using Mendeley. This percentage value was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires before the training activities to 22 participants. After the training was carried out there was a change of one part to 100% of partners already understunderstooding ebook and e-journal services, but only 93.8% were able to use Mendeley.

Parent-child reading is one of the most important learning activities in parent-child interaction. It helps develop children’s writing and reading skills and other mental abilities. In parent-child reading, children not only acquire knowledge from books but also gain ability training experiences from discussing with their parents. In ddition, interactions between parents and children when reading together are also an important factor affecting children’s learning. In this study, 14 groups of parents and children were recruited for the research on parent-child reading e-books, with interviews as the main method and observation as the supplement. Parent-child reading and various oral and non-verbal behaviors were observed. After observation, behaviors was discussed in depth through semi-structured interviews and compared with observational data. This study found that with different e-book carriers and forms, there were differences in reading behaviors, such as dialogue content and physical interactions between parents and children in each group. In addition, parents and children’s opinions were different.

Kitap yayıncılığının iş akışını ve teknolojisini etkileyen üç kırılma aşaması görülmektedir: 1. Kitapların elle yazılması ve çoğaltılması aşaması. 2. Matbaanın baskı teknolojisine dayalı kitlesel üretimi aşaması 3. Dijital teknolojiye (e-kitap) dayalı üretim ve dağıtım aşaması. Günümüz bilgi toplumunda uzun tarihsel süreç içerisinde elle yazılan ve çoğaltılan kitap üretimini yerinden eden matbaaya dayalı iş modeli, kitap endüstrisinin rekabet koşullarını belirleyen kitap üretim (kâğıt, baskı vb.) ve dağıtım giderlerini ortadan kaldıran dijital yayıncılık (e-yayıncılık) tarafından etkilenmektedir. Bu çalışmada kitap yayıncılığının mimarisini belirleyen üretim ve dağıtım teknolojisi tarihsel bağlamı üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Daha sonra özellikle Sanayi Devrimiyle ekonomik, teknik ve sosyal boyutuyla kitap yayıncılığını bir endüstriye dönüştüren bu taban üzerinden günümüze gelen kitap endüstrisinin ekonomik görünümü endüstrileşmiş ülkeler örneği bağlamında incelenmiştir. Kitap endüstrisinin tarihsel ve yapısal değişkenlerinin ekonomik ve teknolojik görünümünü ortaya koymayı amaçlayan bu çalışma, “literatür taramasına” ve “betimleme çalışmasına” dayanmaktadır. Kuzey Amerika ve Avrupa Birliği ülkeleri (Almanya, Fransa, İngiltere, İtalya, İspanya) ile Japonya ve Türkiye çalışmanın örneklemi olarak seçilmiştir. Japonya büyük bir ekonomik güç olması dolayısıyla örnekleme dahil edilmiş, Türkiye ise kitap yayıncılığının adı geçen ülkelerin genel görünümü içindeki yerinin görülmesi amacıyla çalışmaya dahil edilmiştir. Matbaa teknolojisini geç benimseyen Osmanlı mirası üzerinde olan, Avrupa ve Amerika’nın yaşadığı Sanayi Devrimi tecrübesi dışında kalan Türkiye’de, bu durum kitap yayıncılığının istenilen düzeyde gelişmesine engel olmuştur.

This research was conducted to design an e-book based on Flippdf Professional in Arabic listening comprehension for Matriculation Programme. The Matriculation Programme is an Arabic preparation class that is ‎prepared ‎for ‎prospective new students. This program aims to equalize ‎Arabic ‎competencies so that ‎the students can ‎communicate actively with ‎Arabic in academic ‎activities. However, this program ‎still ‎faces ‎difficulties in attaining teaching materials, ‎especially ‎listening comprehension materials which ‎make it ‎difficult for ‎educators to choose themes that are in accordance ‎with student ‎competencies, thus ‎making the learning process ineffective. The ‎development of an ‎e-book based on the ‎Flippdf Professional ‎ was chosen because of its advantages ‎over printed books ‎that can ‎fulfil the needs and learning objectives of listening comprehension. ‎The research design used in this ‎research is Research ‎and Development (R&D) comprised of five ‎stages of the ADDIE ‎model ‎‎(Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation). The percentage value of validity from the material ‎aspect was 86%, while the media aspect was 95%, and 91% from ‎the language aspect. Calculation results of trials conducted ‎to determine the effectiveness of the product show that the ttest = -16.42 and ttable = 2,045 ‎with the percentage of error tolerance of α=0,05% it can be concluded that ttable> tcount, and ‎the product developed is effective to increase the student grade.‎ The calculation result of the trials to determine the product's effectiveness for both the Experiment classes was considered effective with sig. (2-tailed)

The purpose of this study was to compare college student analytical thinking skills in evaluation learning with and without flipbook-assisted e-books. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group research form. The sample in this study were fourth-semester college students. The result of the research is that the college student analytical thinking ability after being given a mathematics learning evaluation course with and without an e-book assisted by a flipbook is equally good. This study carries out the application of learning mathematics learning evaluation courses with e-books assisted by flipbooks as an effort to develop students' analytical thinking skills which are indispensable in solving problems in these subjects where so far no one has conducted research in this field. The implications of the research are by applying the learning of mathematics learning evaluation courses with e-books with the help of flipbooks to the maximum extent that they can develop college student analytical thinking skills. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan kemampuan berpikir analitis mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran evaluasi dengan dan tanpa e-book berbantuan flipbook. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental dengan bentuk penelitian nonequivalent control group. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester IV. Hasil penelitian yaitu kemampuan berpikir analitis mahasiswa sesudah diberikan mata kuliah evaluasi pembelajaran matematika dengan dan tanpa e-book berbantuan flipbook sama baiknya. Penelitian ini mengusung penerapan pembelajaran mata kuliah evaluasi pembelajaran matematika dengan e-book berbantuan flipbook sebagai upaya dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir analitis mahasiswa yang sangat diperlukan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan di mata kuliah tersebut dimana selama ini belum ada yang melakukan penelitian di bidang tersebut. Adapun implikasi dalam penelitian yaitu dengan melakukan penerapan pembelajaran mata kuliah evaluasi pembelajaran matematika dengan e-book berbantuan flipbook secara maksimal dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir analitis mahasiswa.

O audiolivro é um tipo de mídia que, historicamente, demanda da gravação da leitura de um texto em voz alta capaz de ser reproduzida para ser midiado. Quando essa “leitura”, no entanto, é feita por uma Inteligência Artificial, a exemplo da assistente virtual Alexa, ainda podemos compreender esse produto de mídia sonoro como um audiolivro? Entendendo essa pergunta como uma questão que emerge de novas relações entre as mídias digitais, o presente artigo tem por objetivo definir que tipo de fenômeno é esse. Para isso, buscamos nos Estudos de Intermidialidade, a partir dos modelos propostos por Lars Elleström (2021), junto, ainda, a outros autores que nos auxiliaram a preencher determinadas lacunas e aprofundar outras de sua teoria, os elementos necessários para essa análise. Para ser possível aprofundarmos tal discussão, tomamos de exemplo o e-book e o audiolivro de O Alquimista (COELHO, 2017 [1988]), de Paulo Coelho, para a comparação entre a leitura realizada por um humano e a “leitura” realizada por uma Inteligência Artificial. A partir da análise, concluímos que a “leitura” realizada pela Alexa é, na verdade, uma oralização (BAJARD, 2014), o que corresponde a um processo de decodificação sonoro das palavras. Assim, quando comparada a um audiolivro lido por um ser humano, resultado de uma transmidiação, a decodificação da Alexa se trata de uma “re-midiação”, isto é, uma re-exibição das modalidades material, espaçotemporal, sensorial e potencialmente semióticas de um e-book por meio de uma mídia técnica de exposição diferente

The e-books industry is mature, and audiobooks are becoming increasingly popular. More and more publishers are coming to realize that audiobooks could be a potential revenue driver and intend to release audiobooks. Considering that there is a certain substitutability between e-books and audiobooks, publishers need to decide how to release a book in its audible version and its e-book version into the market. In this paper, we incorporate the discount factor and the consumers’ acceptance level for audiobooks into the consumer utility by dividing consumers into two types, high-value type and low-value type, and construct two different release models: releasing the audiobook and the e-book simultaneously and releasing the audiobook after the e-book. Using an optimization tool, we investigate pricing strategies of a monopolistic publisher under two different release models. By comparing the theoretical results of the two models, we find that when the consumers’ patience exceeds a certain threshold, releasing a book in its audible version after its e-book version is better for the publisher, and the publisher should adopt a skimming (refers to decreasing markups over time) pricing strategy for the e-book in this case. Further, the publisher should set a higher price for the audiobook than the e-book, whether or not they release the audiobook after the e-book. In addition, we conduct a numerical analysis to investigate how the discount factor, the percentage of high-value consumers, and the high-value consumers’ acceptance level for audiobooks affect the consumer surplus and the social welfare. This study offers publishers some managerial insights into the complex issues involving pricing and release strategies.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Menghasilkan e-book tentang mitigasi bencana letusan gunung api berdasarkan prinsip desain pesan pembelajaran yang layak untuk siswa SMP N 3 Turi. (2) Mengetahui efektifitas produk media pembelajaran e-book tentang mitigasi bencana letusan gunung api berdasarkan prinsip desain pesan pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMP N 3 Turi. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengacu pada langkah yang dikembangkan oleh Allesi Trollip. Ujicoba produk terdiri dari uji alpha dan uji beta. Uji alpha dilakukan oleh dua ahli media dan dua ahli materi. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar angket dan lembar soal. Penelitian ini menghasilkan e-book mitigasi bencana gunung api yang didasarkan pada prinsip-prinsip desain pesan pembelajaran yang dinilai sangat baik oleh uji alpha dan uji beta, sehingga layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar siswa. Hasil uji alpha ahli materi rerata 4,64, sedangkan oleh ahli media rerata 4,20. Penilaian penggunaan e-book oleh siswa diperoleh skor 4,23. Uji efektifitas menunjukan penggunaan e-book mitigasi bencana gunung api lebih efektif daripada pembelajaran mitigasi bencana gunung api biasa. Rerata N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen adalah 0,71 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol adalah 0,54. Rerata N-Gain antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menunjukan bahwa nilai kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol dan berbeda secara signifikan.

Abstrak. Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin maju, mempengaruhi proses pembelajaran yang mengaplikasikan perkembangan teknologi dan melatihkan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan di abad 21 yaitu keterampilan berpikir berpikir kreatif. E-book yang dikembangkan dengan strategi mind mapping, dilengkapi berbagai fitur yang dapat mendukung kreativitas siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan e-book ensiklopedia serangga dengan strategi mind mapping untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif kelas X SMA Negeri yang dinyatakan efektif. Keefektifan e-book ensiklopedia serangga ditinjau dari hasil belajar , keterampilan membuat mind mapping dan respon siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang dimodifikasi dan dilakukan di Pascasarjana Sains Unesa pada bulan Juni 2020 – Februari 2021. Teknik pengambilan data melalui validasi, observasi, angket dan tes. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata skor hasil belajar siswa sebesar 82,60% dan nilai N gain sebesar 0,50 kategori sedang. Skor rata-rata keterampilan siswa membuat mind mapping sebesar 79 dengan kategori tinggi. Dan ditinjau berdasarkan keterampilan membuat mind mapping dengan rata-rata 79 kategori baik dan berdasarkan respon siswa (dengan hasil 99,46% merespon positif). Abstract. The development of increasingly advanced technology affects the learning process that applies technological developments and trains the skills needed in the 21st century, namely creative thinking skills. The e-book, which was developed with a mind mapping strategy, is equipped with various features that can support student creativity. This study aims to produce an insect encyclopedia e-book with a mind mapping strategy to practice creative thinking skills for class X SMA Negeri, which was declared effective. The effectiveness of the insect encyclopedia e-book in terms of learning outcomes, mind mapping skills and student responses. The method used is a modified research and development (R & D) method and was carried out at the Unesa Science Postgraduate in June 2020 - February 2021. The data collection technique was through validation, observation, questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique was carried out quantitatively. Based on the results of the study, the average score of student learning outcomes was 82.60% and the N gain value was 0.50 in the medium category. The average score of students' mind mapping skills was 79 in the high category. And reviewed based on the skills of doing mind mapping with an average of 79 good categories and based on student responses (with the result of 99.46% responding positively).

Obecnie obserwujemy tendencje do digitalizowania wszelkiej informacji i twórczości, co z jednej strony wpływa na ich globalną dostępność, ale z drugiej strony rodzi problemy związane z ochroną własności intelektualnej i praw twórców. Udostępnianie utworów za pośrednictwem internetu jest niezwykle proste, niegenerujące kosztów i anonimowe. Rozwój internetu i znaczenia sieci wpłynął na powszechne, nielegalne udostępnianie dzieł za jego pośrednictwem. Działania te odbywały się przy bierności i braku skuteczności prawodawcy, czego efektem jest „kryzys prawa autorskiego” – prawo autorskie przestało odpowiadać wyzwaniom społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Jedną z najbardziej spornych kwestii w doktrynie prawa autorskiego jest kwestia dopuszczalności instytucji wyczerpania praw autorskich do wszystkich niematerialnych kopii utworów, w tym e-booków. Celem badawczym wystąpienia jest odpowiedź na następujące pytanie badawcze: czy odsprzedaż e-booka stanowi naruszenie praw autorskich? Aby odpowiedzieć na to pytanie, należy przeanalizować różnice pomiędzy cyfrową a tradycyjną wersją publikacji w kontekście wpływu tych różnic na rynek wydawniczy. Odpowiedź na to pytanie ma kluczowe znaczenie w określeniu przyszłości dostępu do dzieł kultury. Podstawą rozważań jest wyrok TSUE C‑263/18. Metodą badawczą wykorzystaną w pracy jest metoda studium przypadku i monograficzna.

Selecta capita of mathematics is a subject that discusses algebra, geometry, and high school calculus material. Students face obstacles during the learning process: misconceptions about studying selecta capita of mathematics and the lack of electronic textbooks. Therefore, it is necessary to have electronic textbooks that can help students to solve problems by prioritizing independence in the learning process. This study aims to produce a selecta capita of mathematics e-books for SHS on a reasonable and practical contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach and to see the effectiveness of the e-book that has been developed. The development of selecta capita of mathematics e-book for SHS on CTL approach refers to ADDIE development model. The instruments used to determine the quality of a developed e-book are (1) questionnaires to measure the validity, (2) student response questionnaires to measure practicality, and (3) learning outcomes test questions. The results showed that selecta capita of mathematics e-books for SHS based on the CTL approach developed was good quality and could be used in learning. Kapita selekta matematika merupakan mata kuliah yang membahas materi aljabar, geometri dan kalkulus sekolah menengah atas. Salah satu kendala yang dihadapi peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran yaitu terdapat miskonsepsi dalam mempelajari kapita selekta matematika serta masih minimnya buku ajar elektronik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya bahan ajar elektronik yang dapat membantu peserta didik memecahkan permasalahan dengan mengutamakan kemandirian dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan e-book kapita selekta matematika SMA berbasis pendekatan contextual teaching and learning (CTL) yang valid dan praktis, serta melihat keefektifan e-book yang telah dikembangkan. Pengembangan e-book kapita selekta matematika SMA berbasis pendekatan CTL mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kualitas e-book yang dikembangkan, yakni: (1) angket untuk mengukur kevalidan; (2) angket respon peserta didik untuk mengukur kepraktisan; (3) soal tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan e-book kapita selekta matematika SMA berbasis pendekatan CTL yang telah dikembangkan berkualitas baik dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

This study aims to produce an augmented reality integrated e-book that is feasible to improve the problem-solving skills of 11th graders; identify the improvement of 11th graders problem-solving skills after using the augmented reality integrated e-book. Problem-solving as a way of obtaining solutions to difficulties is divided into four indicators, which are: understanding the problem, making plans, implementing plans, and reviewing solutions. Data collection techniques consist of tests, questionnaires, observations, and documentation using instruments that support the Research and Development (R&D) technique with a 4D model. Research subjects were selected by simple random sampling with 34 students of 11th graders. In this study, questionnaires were used for validation, observations were made to determine the condition of students, and documentation was used as evidence in conducting research. The data were analyzed quantitatively based on the results of the validation and analysis of pretest and posttest items. The results showed that the augmented reality integrated e-book is feasible to use based on the results of validation using the average value conducted by a very high category validator, and the validation value obtained is 3.79. The improvement of problem-solving skills was analyzed using Normalized Gain, and the improvement of problem-solving skills got a score of 0.8 in the high category.

Buku Sekolah Elektronik merupakan sebuah buku digital atau elektronik agar dapat membantu proses pembelajaran peserta didik dimanapun dan kapanpun berada. Pembuatan ebook ini didasarkan karena pandemi covid-19 yang menyebabkan pembelajaran dilakukan dari rumah. Proses pembuatan e-book menggunkan pendekatan Luther Sutopo dengan memanfaatkan beberapa tool antara lain: Framework React Native, HTML, PHP, Javascript Framework, AngularJS, dan Node.js. E-book yang dihasilkan, dianalisis menggunakan metode evaluasi goal-attainment untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman minat belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) E-book berhasil dibuat dalam bentuk aplikasi mobile dengan memenuhi kategori e-book yaitu dilengkapi dengan fitur login untuk keamanan pengguna, materi pelajaran dalam bentuk video, pdf, gambar dan evaluasi dalam bentuk soal pilihan ganda; (2) Produk telah digunakan oleh responden (siswa) dan berdasarkan analisisi goal attainment, diperoleh nilai MOS sebesar 4.6 berarti pengguna aplikasi sangat puas menggunakan aplikasi sehingga layak dijadikan alternatif media pembelajaran siswa di rumah.

Este artículo propone el análisis de “Breathe” —un cuento para smartphones que personaliza su contenido según datos contextuales del lector— a través de la “triangulación” de tres espacios de interacción interdependientes: historia, tecnología y situación contextual. La proposición es que la interrelación de estos espacios localiza la experiencia literaria de “Breathe” en circunstancias de la vida real, y está presupuesta en que la literatura no se experimenta en un vacío, sino en situaciones reales que involucran propósitos, tecnologías, audiencias y circunstancias concretas. En últimas, este artículo cuestiona cómo las tecnologías encarnadas y experiencias situadas determinan nuestras interacciones con textos literarios. This paper proposes an analysis of “Breathe” (2018)—a smartphone short story that customizes its content according to the reader’s contextual data—through the “trian-gulation” of three interdependent spaces of interaction: story, technology, and environ-ment. The central proposition is that the interrelation of these three proposed spaces can locate the literary experience of “Breathe” in real-life circumstances, and it builds on the presupposition that literature is not experienced in a vacuum, but in real-life situations that involve concrete purposes, technologies, audiences, and environments. Ultimately, this paper wonders about how embodied technologies and situated experiences affect our interactions with literary texts.

This article aims to uncover the implementation of e-book-based teaching materials for makeup learning. The method used in this article is the literature review. Based on the study of literature it can be concluded that among the teaching materials e-book is important to pay attention to the constituent components, namely. (a) Display of e-book teaching materials, including book cover design, shape, size, and image. (b) The content of the e-book teaching materials, including the composition of the text, the standard rules of book preparation (aspects of material completeness, language, and usefulness), and dictionaries or glossaries. The learning of the history of Makeup is very important to be mastered by students because the learning of the history of makeup trains students in practicing their knowledge and for the provision of students after graduating from college so that students majoring in skin beauty can open a business in the field of bridal makeup. Related to this, students must be able to master the history of makeup well. On the other hand, students still have a lot of difficulty in mastering the concept of learning the history of makeup and still lack references obtained by students to increase their knowledge. The use of learning media is considered as one of the most appropriate solutions in presenting bridal makeup materials in learning. In addition, the study of the history of makeup is one of the learnings that must students in understanding the concepts contained in it, such as the wedding ceremony, wearing clothes and accessories, and how to apply makeup of the bride.

The development of electronic media and changes of the social context in the situation of the global health crisis in the field of education have resulted in an increased interest in digital resources, especially in the application of e-books in teaching. Resorting to this book format raises the question of the perspective of its application in the future changed social circumstances. The authors examine (a) the experiences of students of teacher education and pedagogical faculties (N = 394) from four countries of the Western Balkans regarding the use of digital libraries; (b) the anticipated purpose of using e-books upon the completion of their studies; (c) students’ views on the universal values of books, regardless of the format in which they are published. The attitudes of these students regarding the future application of e-books is determined by their open-mindedness relative to the application of modern technologies for educational purposes, experience in using e-books, their views on the purpose of the future application of this type of books, and values regarding different book formats and books in general. The research findings show that future preschool and primary school teachers are characterized by the values that qualify them for an adequate approach to the outcomes of future changes in the development of books and modern education.

This study examines the electronic book reading preferences of teachers who teach their subjects in a foreign language in secondary school, high school, and university in terms of different variables. This study examines the teachers’ electronic book reading interests, the types of books, and book reading pages regarding gender variables. In the research, a descriptive survey model was used. Descriptive analysis was carried out on large groups. The opinions and attitudes of the individuals in the group were taken, and the facts and events were tried to be described (Karakaya, 2012). The study was carried out with 23 teachers working in 3 different private institutions in the Kurdistan region of Iraq in the 2021-2022 academic year. According to the findings, teachers’ e-book reading genres increased in subjects that appealed to their careers. The researchers found that the difference between male and female teachers’ book preferences is worth examining. This study explored what types of fiction and nonfiction genres teachers prefer to read digitally when digital reading is popular worldwide. This study is expected to contribute to the subsequent studies in related literature.

The main purpose of this research is to produce a kvisoft flipbook maker-based ebook learning media product on root material, rank, and logarithms. The research carried out is development research (Development Research) with the ADDIE model. The sample in this study was a student of class X SMK Avicena Rajeg Tangerang Regency in 2021. The data in the study was collected using questionnaires, which consist of expert validation questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. Based on the results of the analysis of research data conducted obtained a value of 76% for media experts and 75.75% for material experts with good categories. The next stage is a practicality test and questionnaire on a small scale and obtained a score of 75.25% with good and practical categories. So it was concluded that the kvisoft flipbook maker-based ebook learning medium is feasible and practically used in math learning. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran ebook berbasis kvisoft flipbook maker pada materi akar, pangkat, dan logaritma. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (Development Research) dengan model ADDIE. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMK Avicena Rajeg Kabupaten Tangerang tahun 2021. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket, yang terdiri dari angket validasi ahli, dan angket respon siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh nilai 76% untuk ahli media dan 75,75% untuk ahli materi dengan kategori yang baik. Tahap berikutnya adalah tes kepraktisan dan kuesioner dengan skala kecil dan memperoleh nilai 75,25% dengan kategori baik dan praktis. Jadi disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran ebook berbasis kvisoft flipbook maker layak dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract Television studies have shown that some negative effects of screens could depend on exposure time, but more importantly on the characteristics of the child, the type of content viewed, and the context in which it is viewed. Studies on newer screens show that these factors are still valid but new ones now play a negative role: portable screens increase the duration of exposure and lowered the age at which exposure begins. More worryingly, new screen persuasive designs and dark patterns largely used incite more frequent use, attracting the attention of children and parents, resultantly interfering deeply in parent/child relationships. In this text we suggest that current academic recommendations have to be more broadly shared but also that new recommendations are needed: especially to advise parents not to let their screen interactions compete with real interactions with their child which are the core of learnings (especially language) and emotional regulations but also of their security.

This study examined the analysis of e-books and reading comprehension in EFL in the last ten years. Academics have teaching-learning procedures. In learning one of the skills required in education is reading. Reading is necessary for students' personal and academic development, and reading comprehension is also essential. Reading comprehension is a student's understanding of a text's meaning and value. One learning media that may increase students' reading comprehension in the classroom is the e-book. An E-book is an electronic version of a printed book. The study employs bibliometrics to assess a research trend. This analysis utilizes Scopus information from 2012 to 2022 using PoP, VosViewer examines the metadata, and Tableau Public visualizes the VosViewer findings. This analysis reveals publishing trends, most cited authors and articles, journal rank, publication categories, article pages, nations, and keywords. This study discovered that the map from 29 datasets has 117 terms and 85 items, 13 clusters, and 263 links with 265 link strengths. Some keywords have big circles, such as "English," "Comprehension," "E-book," and "effect," which are the keywords that occur most in the thirteen clusters formed. Each cluster shows a trend with the emergence of numerous keywords that are more distinctive to each cluster. In addition, the keyword "e-book" and "reading comprehension" is also related to the keyword "EFL learners," which is the focus analysis of this study. It shows that keywords are significant research points for e-books and EFL reading comprehension. However, the research has significant drawbacks. The researchers need thus do further investigations.

Teknolojinin kitaba izdüşümü olan e-kitap olgusu modern çağın yeni okuma biçimini oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın öncül amacı da üniversite öğrencilerinin e-kitap okuma alışkanlıkları olarak belirlenmiştir. Söz konusu amaca ulaşmak için çalışma nitel veri toplama teknikleri içerisinde yer alan, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma evrenini, 2019-2020 öğretim yılında Kırıkkale Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören lisans öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler frekans değerleri alınarak tablolaştırılmıştır. Buna göre araştırmada, üniversite öğrencileri arasında e-kitap okuma aracına sahip olma düzeyi oldukça düşüktür. Katılımcıların büyük çoğunluğu okumalarını cep telefonu üzerinden gerçekleştirmektedirler. Buna karşın basılı kitaplar halen en çok tercih edilen okuma araçları olarak yerini korumaktadır. Yine katılımcıların büyük çoğunluğunun e-kitap ya da bilgisayar üzerinden okumalarını kısa aralıklarla yaptıkları ve baştan sona bir kitabı okumadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca e-kitabın gözü ve bedeni yorması gibi nedenlerle tercih edilmediği de belirlemeler arasındadır.
