The most promising areas of interaction between Russian scientists and scientists from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) can be identified by analyzing the number of joint publications between scholars in the different regions. To define the forms of scientific cooperation it is important to understand the possibility of interaction between Russian scientists and compatriot scientists who live in MENA countries. The purpose of the study is to create a data base of organizations from the MENA countries recommended for scientific cooperation with Russian researchers based on the study of their publication activity. The authors provide a description of the analysis results of the publication activity of the scientists from 21 countries and present the identified directions of joint publications of scientists from Russia, the MENA countries and Western countries. The Russian scientific diaspora is poorly represented in the MENA region and little involved in international scientific cooperation. The authors used information retrieval technique based on set theory to search for information and create a database. The results of publication activity analysis results show that joint projects are likely to contribute to an increase in the level of international scientific cooperation. Our map of the region reflects the main areas of science in which it is advisable to develop cooperation. Purpose: International English language publication activities in orthopaedic surgery comparing the years 2008/09 to 2018/19 were analyzed. Methods: 20 international journals listed on PubMed were examined. The impact factor (IF) for each journal was determined using the InCites Journal Citation Report. Results: 9,205 publications in 2008/09 and 15,549 in 2018/19 with 21,435 cumulative IF (CIF) in 2008/09 and 50,552 in 2018/19 were registered. Most publications consisted of narrative reviews (42.0%), followed by clinical studies (22.0%), experimental investigations (16.9%), randomized controlled trials (6.0%), and meta-analyses (5.6%). The highest increase in publications was observed for narrative reviews from 33.5% in 2008/09 to 41.1% in 2018/19. The USA had the highest number of publications (2,981 and 4,796), followed by UK (806 and 879) and Germany (606 and 922) in 2008/09 and 2018/19, resp. Per 1 Mio inhabitants, Switzerland (13.6 and 28.4), Sweden (10.9 and 18.1), the Netherlands (9.6 and 15.4), and Denmark (9.0 and 21.8) were the most productive countries in 2008/09 and 2018/19, resp. Conclusions: International publishing activity in orthopaedic surgery has increased substantially over the last 10 years. The quality of the published articles has not increased in the same way, as evidenced by the disproportionate rise in narrative reviews. Over the entire period, the US were the leader with respect to number of publications and CIF. In terms of population, however, smaller countries such as Switzerland and Sweden were much more active. This paper examines in a mathematically simplified form the incentive system of publication activity adopted by Bulgarian universities. The methodology of the study is a mathematical analysis of a competitive game between multiple players. All proofs are made in the generalised case. It is shown that in this (and similar) mathematical form of the basic formula for calculating players’ rewards, there exists an optimal number of publications at which each player reaches his maximum profit. It is shown that if individual players do not cooperate but follow competitive behavior, they will realise their maximum profits in a Nash equilibrium. It is shown that in this equilibrium some players will prefer to have zero publication activity, which depends on the costs they incur for their publications. Easy done and cheap publications will be more competitive and more numerous. It has been shown that it is more profitable for players to cooperate and minimise the amount of publications rather than compete. Objective: Analysis of the evolution of methods of analysis of publication activity and citation and development of new analytical tools for their analysis: interdisciplinary coefficients, trend diagnostic chart, binary matrix clustering algorithm. Methods: The results of scientometric analysis of the occurrence of the term Activity Index using Google Books and Google Scholar, as well as SJR database were used as research materials. In addition to scientometric analysis, diagnostic and matrix analysis methods were used as research methods. Results: Based on the SJR database (1996-2019), interdisciplinarity coefficients for subject categories and subject area were constructed and calculated for the first 50 countries. The same database allowed the construction of a trend diagnostic chart in the coordinates Activity Index and Average Growth Rate for Documents in order to identify the leaders and outsiders, as well as catch-up countries and countries losing their publication potential. These charts are plotted for the top 20 countries and the top 20 subject categories. For these countries and subject categories, matrices for Activity Index (2019) and Attractivity Index (2017 - 2019) as well as binary matrices for Activity Index (50×20 dimension) before and after applying the clustering algorithm (2019) are constructed. Conclusion: The calculations performed with relative indices can be useful in planning research and scientific collaboration between countries, as they show the comparative advantages and weaknesses of country scientific systems, and also facilitate in finding partner countries for the implementation of joint scientific programs or projects that are mutually beneficial. In the future, it is advisable to build a trend diagnostic chart, when instead of calculating an increase in publication activity over the last three years, an increase in Activity Index values is considered. Background: Scientometric analyses characterize the output of research publications using quantitative methods. While it has been reported that the number of publications in anesthesiology has been increasing for years, the global research activity in pediatric anesthesiology and its landscape is largely unknown. Aims: To examine the activity, developmental dynamics, and collaboration landscape of research publications in pediatric anesthesiology over the past two decades. Methods: PubMed and WebOfScience were searched for pediatric anesthesiology publications published between 2001 and 2020. The identified publications were exported into a database, matched, curated, and then assigned to one or more countries according to their affiliation field(s). The primary outcome was the publication activity and its growth rate. Secondary outcomes included the geographical distribution, the evolution of international collaborations (as indicated by articles affiliated with more than one country), and the main sources. Results: Thirty‐four thousand, three hundred and forty‐three pediatric anesthesiology publications were retrieved. The compound annual growth rate over the study period was +7.6%. The highest annual growth rate was +20.6% from 2019 to 2020. Corresponding authors were most often affiliated with USA (32.5%), Germany (5.5%), and China (5.5%). China (+22.9%), Iran (+21.7%), and India (+16.1%) had the highest compound annual growth rates. 6001 (17.5%) articles involved international collaboration, with a compound annual growth rate of +13.1%. The most frequent collaboration was between USA and Canada (716 articles together). The most prominent source was Pediatric Anesthesia (10.0%). Conclusions: Publication activity in pediatric anesthesiology has increased from 2001 to 2020 and has become more geographically diverse. The article investigates the development of software services providing automated analysis of qualitative indicators of the publication activity of employees of a scientific organization. The subject of the study is the approaches and methods that make it possible to implement the interaction of information systems of an organization with external bibliometric databases. The information extracted can be used both in the processes of the internal activities of the organization to accumulate data on publication performance and to generate reports on ongoing projects and prepare documents for seminars, conferences, and competitions. The problem of the study - the genesis of the problem of the crisis of professional identity of a teacher in the context of the formation of a new information and communication educational paradigm in the second half of the twentieth century - early twenty-first century. The analysis of the scientific and pedagogical literature of the second half of the twentieth century - the beginning of the twenty-first century demonstrates that the transition to a new paradigm of education was marked by the emergence of a crisis of professional identity, which is also emphasised by the ambiguity of definitions of the concept of professional identity. In the modern scientific and pedagogical discourse, a teacher is seen as a person with numerous roles. The scientific, theoretical and philosophical foundations for considering research activities and publication activity as key indicators of the level of professional identity of a teacher are identified and substantiated. An empirical study of the opinions of practicing teachers in Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and Sweden on research and publication activity is carried out. The aim of the article is to present the involvement of public Higher Education Institutions in Poland in popularizing the idea of sustainable development within the framework of their publishing activities. In this study, agglomerative clustering approach, which is a representative of the hierarchical method, was used. The distance between selected public Higher Education Institutions in Poland was determined based on the Squared Euclidean Distance. In turn, to estimate the distance between clusters, the Ward method was used. The study used three parameters, constructed from data taken from SciVal: (1) total number of publications, (2) citation count, and (3) field-weighted citation impact. Three groups of Polish public HEIs were distinguished as a result of the cluster analysis that was performed (based on: the total number of publications, the citation count, and the field-weighted citation impact). The most publication-productive were seven technical universities, i.e., Warsaw University of Technology, Gdansk University of Technology, Silesian University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology, Lodz University of Technology, Poznan University of Technology, and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. The publications prepared by the employees of the universities of technology were also characterized by the highest number of citations. This article is one of the first to present (in quantitative terms) the involvement of universities in popularizing sustainable energy development concept. The methodology used in it can be applied to the other Sustainable Development Goals. Given the increasing importance of the concept of sustainability in the functioning of universities, it seems necessary to create tools to measure the degree of their involvement in popularizing this idea. Among other things, universities are obliged to share their knowledge in this area. Bibliometric data provided by the SciVal system may be helpful in this regard. This article seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of publication activity dynamics in the USSR and in the Russian Federation in the context of evolution of national economic and political systems and science policies. A broad set of bibliometric indicators derived from the Web of Science Core Collection database and InCites electronic analytical tool were used to assess the scientific output of the Soviet and Russian research establishments. Various aspects of path dependence of contemporary Russia's patterns of publication activity on the earlier institutional models of the R&D sector established in the Soviet Union were considered. This path dependence may be clearly observed in the thematic structure of scientific publications (even more so in internationally collaborated papers), in the composition of partner countries for joint publications, and in citation indicators. The evolution of national science policies is tracked in the context of historical development of policy instruments and government actions intended to stimulate and support the publication activity of Russian (and Soviet) academics and maximize their potential effects upon the country's key research performance indicators. Background: Relapsing polychondritis (RP) is an inflammatory disease with significant individual heterogeneity that involves systemic cartilage tissues. This study aimed to perform a bibliometric analysis of RP-related publications to quantitatively assess the scholarly productivity in the field. Methods: We extracted the RP-related original research articles and reviews published during 1960–2023 from the Web of Science database by using the keyword "relapsing polychondritis." By using R, CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and SCImago Graphica, the bibliometric analysis was performed on the retrieved publications. Results: A total of 1096 articles, consisting of 909 original research articles and 187 reviews, were identified. A mean annual growth rate of 6.71% was found in the number of RP-related publications during 1960–2022. The United States accounted for the highest number of publications (21.9%), exhibited the highest mean citation number per publication (40.7), and engaged in the most frequent academic collaboration. Three clusters of RP-related journals were identified: 1) otology, rhinology, and laryngology; 2) respiratory and radiology medicine; and 3) rheumatology. Journals with a focus on rheumatology issued the most publications, and most of the RP-related publications were from The Journal of Rheumatology (n = 27). Most of these publications were co-authored by Dr. Jean-Charles Piette (n = 19), who also had the highest H-index (13) among all the authors. The co-citation network analysis revealed 11 highly connected clusters of RP research and indicated the "VEXAS Syndrome" as a hotspot. Conclusion: This overview of the RP research field comprehensively describes the progress in the field. The number of publications on RP has progressively increased but remains insufficient. The United States and European countries are at the forefront of RP-related research, and the journals related to rheumatology have covered the majority of publications. Additionally, several key topics for future investigations, such as "VEXAS Syndrome," have been identified. The article presents comparative data concerning the types of the same publications between two of the world's leading scientific information systems – Web of Science and Scopus – and publishers. This paper shows significant differences in the typification of documents in a sample of the 3843 most actively cited works with Russian authorship of various types for the period 2010–2020. It shows that the type of publication is not an obvious criterion: the same work can be assigned different types depending on the source of information. The revealed discrepancies of information from various sources give grounds for a certain skepticism regarding the correctness of the formulation of tasks in the analysis of publication activity concerning the accounting of publications of only certain types. The results of this study suggest that if it is necessary to take into account only certain types of publications, information on the types of documents should be verified with the original information from publishers. Purpose: This article presents the results of a quantitative analysis of Ukrainian arts and humanities (A&H) research from 2012 to 2021, as observed in Scopus. The overall publication activity and the relative share of A&H publications in relation to Ukraine's total research output, comparing them with other countries. The study analyzes the diversity and total number of sources, as well as the geographic distribution of authors and citing authors, to provide insights into the internationalization level of Ukrainian A&H research. Additionally, the topical spectrum and language usage are considered to complete the overall picture. Design/methodology/approach: This study uses the Scopus database as the primary data source for analyzing the general bibliometric characteristics of Ukrainian A&H research. All document types, except Erratum, were considered. A language filter was applied to compare the bibliometric characteristics of English versus non-English publications. In addition to directly imported data from Scopus, the study employs the ready-to-use SciVal tools to operate with A&H subcategories and calculate additional bibliometric characteristics, such as Citations per Publication (CPP), Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) and journal quartiles. Information on the country of journal publishers and details on delisted journals from Scopus were obtained from the official Source Title List available on the Elsevier website and the SCImago Journal and Country Rank Portal. Findings: According to the results obtained, the publication patterns for Ukrainian A&H research exhibit dynamics comparable to those of other countries, with a gradual increase in the total number of papers and sources. However, the citedness is lower than expected, and the share of publications in top-quartile sources is lower for 2020–2021 period compared to the previous years. The impact of internationally collaborative papers, especially those in English, is higher. Nevertheless, over half of all works remain uncited, probably due to the limited readership of the journals selected for publication. Originality/value: This study provides original insights into the bibliometric characteristics of Ukrainian A&H publications between 2012 and 2021, as assessed using the Scopus database. The authors' findings reveal that Ukraine's A&H publications have higher visibility than some Asian countries with similar population sizes. However, in comparison to other countries of similar size, Ukraine's research output is smaller. The authors also discovered that cultural and historical similarities with neighboring countries play a more significant role in publication activity than population size. This study highlights the low integration of Ukrainian A&H research into the global academic community, evident through a decline in papers published in influential journals and poor citedness. These findings underscore the importance for authors to prioritize disseminating research in influential journals, rather than solely focusing on indexing in particular databases. As has been noted on numerous occasions, between 2012 and 2021, the pace of publications by Russian researchers rapidly increased; however, this growth was uneven in both quantitative and qualitative terms. Moreover, some research organizations had zero or even negative publication activity growth. To achieve a full understanding of the real development processes of the research sector requires analysis of the dynamics of dozens of indicators for hundreds of organizations. However, the question remains: how can these numerous data series be studied? To address this problem, this article proposes a method of classifying trends in time series based on a combination of three statistical tests of randomness against trend: the Cox-Stuart test, the inversion test of randomness, and the Mann–Kendall test. The method is used to classify a series of scientometric parameters that characterize various aspects of the publication activity of 701 leading Russian research organizations and universities, including a comprehensive publication score (an analogue of the official Composite Score for Publication Performance (CSPP)), the average quality level of publications, and the share of articles in conference proceedings. The differences trends of organizations of different types and performance categories are identified. Gender diversity in STEM remains a significant issue, as the field continues to be a male dominated one, despite increased attention on the subject. This article examines the interplay between gender diversity on projects funded by a major UK research council, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, and the publication activity of a project, as measured by the average journal quality of project publication output, over a 10-year period. The proportion of female representation and leadership on these projects remains very low. For the projects examined as part of this study, over 70% of these projects have no female representation, and less than 15% have a female lead. This study does not find a significant relationship between gender diversity and journal quality output. This study highlights that an important avenue for future work is the development of alternative metrics to assess the performance of research projects in a discipline characterized by very low levels of gender diversity, to fully unpack the impact of project team gender diversity on project output activity. Background: The international disclosure of Chinese human genetic data continues to be a contentious issue in China, generating public debates in both traditional and social media channels. Concerns have intensified after Chinese scientists' research on pangenome data was published in the prestigious journal Nature. Methods: This study scrutinized microblogs posted on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media site, in the two months immediately following the publication (June 14, 2023–August 21, 2023). Content analysis was conducted to assess the nature of public responses, justifications for positive or negative attitudes, and the users' overall knowledge of how Chinese human genetic information is regulated and managed in China. Results: Weibo users displayed contrasting attitudes towards the article's public disclose of pangenome research data, with 18% positive, 64% negative, and 18% neutral. Positive attitudes came primarily from verified government and media accounts, which praised the publication. In contrast, negative attitudes originated from individual users who were concerned about national security and health risks and often believed that the researchers have betrayed China. The benefits of data sharing highlighted in the commentaries included advancements in disease research and scientific progress. Approximately 16% of the microblogs indicated that Weibo users had misunderstood existing regulations and laws governing data sharing and stewardship. Conclusions: Based on the predominantly negative public attitudes toward scientific data sharing established by our study, we recommend enhanced outreach by scientists and scientific institutions to increase the public understanding of developments in genetic research, international data sharing, and associated regulations. Additionally, governmental agencies can alleviate public fears and concerns by being more transparent about their security reviews of international collaborative research involving Chinese human genetic data and its cross-border transfer. Idiopathic inflammatory myopathy is a multisystem autoimmune condition characterized by muscle inflammation (myositis) and interstitial lung disease (ILD). Bibliometric analysis and altmetric analysis are effective methods of evaluating academic productivity and measuring the influence of publications. The purpose of this study is to analyze the research productivity and influence of idiopathic inflammatory myopathy articles using bibliometric analysis and altmetric analysis. Data from articles published between 2011 and 2021 were obtained from the Web of Science. Altmetric attention scores and Mendeley reader counts of the articles were obtained from altmetric evaluations. In the study, 2060 articles related to idiopathic inflammatory myopathy were screened out showing an increasing trend in general. In terms of the origin countries of articles, the United States (n = 467, 22.67%) ranked first. Johns Hopkins University has the largest number of institutions (n = 113). The journals regarding idiopathic inflammatory myopathy and Rheumatology (n = 87) published the most articles. The most cited article was published by Mammen et al. and was related to autoantibodies. Dermatomyositis, polymyositis and other research hotspots were represented by keywords. The results of the altmetric analysis showed that citations, impact factors and h-index were significantly correlated with Altmetric Attention Scores and Mendeley Readers Count (P < 0.05). In summary, bibliometric analysis summarizes the current status of idiopathic inflammatory myopathy research and helps to understand the development of idiopathic inflammatory myopathy in the field between 2011 and 2021. This paper presents the results of the publication activity research of scientists from Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), including health science and medicine in the referenced databases Web of Science, Scopus, EBSCO Publishing and Springer Link. The issue of strategic and regulatory documents on the development of AI in the countries of Central Asia (CA) and measures for developing this area in the region was considered as well. From the scientometric review, it became known that in the aggregate, the Central Asian countries make an insignificant contribution to the development of AI, including the development of AI in medicine, if we consider the number of publications and their citations in databases at the time of the study in May-July 2021. It was recommended to multiply support for scientific research and publication activity of scientists in Central Asia to increase the regional contribution to the development of AI in medicine and healthcare. The publication activity of Russian scientists in various fields in chemistry is analyzed. Data on the indexing of articles of Russian Empire chemists in Chemisches Zentralblatt and Chemical Abstracts indicate active development of Russian science at the end of the 19th century and its rapid recovery and competitive ability after the First and Second World Wars. The collapse of the USSR dealt a severe blow to the scientific potential of the country, which was among the top five in all areas of chemical science before 1990. Currently, Russian scientists hold the strongest positions in the field of organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry. The number of publications of Russian scientists in foreign journals exceeds 50% of the total number of papers, and one third of the research is carried out with international cooperation. This article examines the publication activity and popularization of S. Freud's ideas by Bulgarian psychoanalytic authors who worked actively in the period of the 20s - 40s of the 20th century, when it was the peak of the psychoanalytic movement in Bulgaria. With the establishment of communist power on 9/09/1944, our country fell under Soviet influence, and the spread of psychoanalysis was prohibited; Marxist-Leninist philosophy is declared to be the only correct one. The second emphasis is related to the presentation of the discussions and controversies between Freudians and non-Freudians. The role of the journals "Philosophical Review", "Zlatorog", etc., whose editors open their pages widely for the publication of psychoanalytic writings, as well as other psychological and philosophical articles, is emphasized for the dissemination of psychoanalysis. The contribution of the great philosopher Academician Dimitar Mikhalchev in this regard is indisputable. By popularizing the psychoanalytic ideas of Freud (and much less of K. Jung and A. Adler), and also by writing their original psychoanalytic works, Bulgarian psychoanalytically oriented authors contribute to the enrichment of social and intellectual life with new ideas, values, and guidelines of thinking. To inform a response to recent critiques of physical and health education (PHE) research activity within Canadian universities, this research inquired into peer-reviewed PHE publications by Canadian-based authors between 2010 and 2015 via an analysis of published research method framed within a 'health' metaphor. The three-phase method involved: (a) identifying Canadian-authored English-language PHE journal articles via targeted database keyword searches designed in consultation with an academic librarian and the Physical and Health Education Canada Research Council executive; (b) categorizing the publications by extracting data related to author affiliation, journal name, research question, and funding acknowledgement; and (c) conducting basic descriptive statistics to report findings on publication topics, authorship characteristics, journal outlets, and funding rates and sources. Results were interpreted through the lens of common criteria within Canadian tenure, promotion, and performance reviews for 'healthy' research publication activity: quantity of publications, prestige of publication outlets, knowledge mobilization to national and international practitioners and academics, and (external) funding. Findings revealed relatively 'healthy' measures of publication quantity, prestigious external funding, and nationally-focused knowledge mobilization to stakeholders inside and outside of academia. However, findings also revealed limits in the proportion of research published in prestigious journals and journals easily accessible to international audiences, both of which could be interpreted or represented (and subsequently weaponized) by others as 'illness'. While it is neither our aim, nor place, to prescribe a way forward – as that is for the larger community of Canadian-based PHE scholars to consider together – it is our hope that this research provides the descriptive data and reflection needed to inform the beginnings of evidence-based discussion, action, and advocacy regarding PHE research publication activity in Canada. The paper presents the results of a correlation analysis between the information trends in the electronic media of Kazakhstan and indicators of the epidemiological situation of COVID-19 according to the World Health Organization (WHO). The developed method is based on topic modeling and some other methods of processing natural language texts. The method allows for calculating the correlations between media topics, moods, the results of full-text search queries, and objective WHO data. The analysis of the results shows how the attitudes of society towards the problems of COVID-19 changed from 2021–2022. Firstly, the results reflect a steady trend of decreasing interest of electronic media in the topic of the pandemic, although to an unequal extent for different thematic groups. Classic works in the geography of research and innovation activity of the 1960s–1970s on clustering and diffusion of innovations in the 21st century have received new impetus for development with the approach of open innovation and growing importance of interregional network collaboration. Digitalization has provided access to new sources of big data on the movement of key elements of the knowledge economy, including publications—the formalized result of scientific activity. The aim of the article is to identify the center–periphery research ties of one of the largest macroregions of European Russia—the South. The problem was solved to assess the territorial patterns of the formation of interregional research networks with the identification of centers of gravity of various orders and ties between them at the local and national levels. The study was based on the spatial scientometrics method. Geocoded data on publications from the Scopus abstract and citation database were used. The hypotheses about the Moscow-centricity and Petersburg-centricity of the scientific space of the macroregion were verified. The influence of the factors of geographical proximity and diversity of interregional ties was assessed. The results of the analysis revealed significant cooperation in the research field between regions of the South (and the wider South) of the European part Russia. The hypothesis on the presence of several centers of attraction for scientific activity in the macroregion, including Rostov oblast, Krasnodar krai, and Volgograd oblast, has been confirmed. The hypothesis on the interdependence of the level of publication activity and branching of the research network was confirmed. The influence of the factor of territorial proximity in the formation of cooperative ties is low and is manifested mainly in southern Russian regions with relatively low indicators of scientific productivity (primarily in the national republics). Interregional scientific cooperation of advanced regions is not limited to immediate geographical proximity, it is determined by a combination of nonterritorial factors. The Moscow-centricity of regions of the macroregion is typical of most southern federal subjects and is especially pronounced in regions with low internal scientific potential, as well as in new regions that have undergone a period of transformation of scientific systems. A primary goal of state scientific and technological policy is to increase the share of publications by Russian authors in scientific journals indexed in international databases. However, statistical analysis has shown that an increase publication activity among Russian authors has occurred against the backdrop of stagnation in the country's scientific and technological potential. Recommendations are provided for improving state scientific and technological policy, as well as for models of evaluating and stimulating the subjects of scientific and scientific-technical activity. The numbers of publications within the field of research on approaches to address conflicts in schools is rapidly growing, and it is now important to map influential theories, methods and topics that shape this research field. In addition, student teachers, teachers and teacher educators would benefit from it being easier to find research-based knowledge of how to address conflicts in schools. Therefore, a bibliometric study was carried out on 1126 publications that were published between 1996 and 2019 in this field. The study aimed at examining publication activity, geographic spread, and dominant research topics. The findings showed a positive trend in publication output from 2006 onwards. Research output was found to be dominated by the United States. However, the results also indicated an internationalization trend expressed in an increased geographic spread of publication output. Furthermore, six research topics were identified through cluster analyses and labelled 'peace and value education', 'classroom management from coercive discipline to relationship building', 'constructive conflict resolution', 'classroom management programmes', 'restorative justices and restorative approaches', and 'classroom challenges for teachers'. Science plays an important role in the development of agriculture. Publication activity is one of the factors in the assessment of science intensity in certain areas. Evaluating the number of articles on a specific topic in a certain period can indicate a trend in developing science in the country and international cooperation. Agricultural science in Russia lags far behind leading topics such as chemistry and physics, especially in international cooperation. This article aimed to assess the publication activity in Russia in the area of agriculture to analyze the development of agricultural science in the country and the impact of the national project “Science” on the trend of change. The authors used the Web of Science Core Collection database for this study and analyzed 7,436 papers on the topic of agriculture co-authored by Russian and foreign authors. This study showed the number of articles by year, research areas, and distribution publication records in collaboration with other countries. The article results showed that agricultural science has been growing in a general trend in recent years. The most significant increase in the overall publication in agriculture topics and cooperation occurred after the project “Science” was launched. This paper conducted detailed research on publication activity in the public-private partnership (PPP) field based on bibliometric analysis. The main aim was to research the different literature materials and systematize trends and priority fields of PPP research. Scopus tools were used to determine the dynamics of the number of indexed publications, research belonging to the country and journals, and the branch structure of publication activity on the research topic, highlighting academics' contributions in the PPP research field by the number of citations and published papers. The search for the most relevant publications used the key concept of "private-public partnership" in titles, abstracts, and keywords in the bibliometric database Scopus for 1952 - 2022. VOSviewer software is used to build network maps of keyword compatibility, collaborate with authors by country, and measure the research time. Based on the results of the literature review, conclusions are drawn about the growing dynamics of the number of publications in the PPP field; 3 stages of scientific interest in PPP research are identified; the multidisciplinary nature of the concept under study is confirmed; the PPP term is clarified; 7 clusters that characterize the main areas of research in the field of PPP are identified; the leading countries and the most cited authors are identified by their affiliation to a particular country; it is established that the intensive development of scientific research in PPP in the countries of the world took place in the period 2010-2014; the development of PPP in CEE and Ukraine is characterized. The knowledge economy is becoming a key factor in the sustainable development of various sectors, including energy. One of the central elements in the energy of the future is renewable energy, which is becoming increasingly important in the global economy, especially in the context of achieving Sustainable Development Goal 7.a (SDG 7.a). In the last decade, Poland, like many other countries, has faced energy security challenges; a strong dependence on fossil energy sources, including imported ones; and the need to modernize its energy infrastructure. The development of renewable energy sources in Poland is becoming a priority in the state energy policy, facilitated by global trends and international commitments, including participation in achieving the SDGs. The knowledge economy is based on the efficient use of intellectual resources, innovative technologies, and scientific data. This article analyzes the role of scientific publications in forming innovative solutions for the energy sector, including renewable energy. The authors used modern research methods: scientometric, bibliometric, and correlation analyses of publications in the Scopus database and a specially created prompt for the processing of an array of 1,731,987 information units and z-statistics. The authors found six hidden reasons limiting the publication activity of Polish energy scientists. These reasons led Poland to leave the top 20 leading countries in the world market for scientific products in the energy sector. As a result, the authors rejected three research hypotheses and formulated management recommendations. There is a growing public interest in science and, by extension, in psychology, and human behavior. Yet, detailed investigations on whether academic psychological research activity matches lay interests are still scarce. In addition, while lay-friendly communication of research findings becomes continually more important, it is unclear which subfields of psychological research are particularly interesting to laypeople. To address these research gaps, we carried out an explorative study of psychological literature included in two large reference databases, one with a German (PSYNDEX) and one with an international (PsycInfo) scope. The years of 2018–2020 were scanned for articles belonging to one of 20 topic areas assessed as most interesting by lay participants in a previous study. We determined and compared the share of empirical research and research syntheses for each topic area and database and computed rank correlations between lay interest and academic publication volume. Results suggest a positive relationship between lay interest and academic publication activity specifically for research syntheses. Additionally, topic areas associated with clinical psychology offered a large share of research syntheses, while other topic areas such as "Psychodynamics" or "Industrial & Organizational Psychology" encompassed a smaller share of syntheses. Finally, we outline perspectives for long-term monitoring of psychology-related lay interests. Thus, the present study connects academic activity with the public interest in psychology by identifying and quantifying research syntheses for topics garnering the most lay interest. Purpose: The publication activity of 38 German general/visceral surgery university departments, documented by first or last authorship from staff surgeons (chief and consultants), was evaluated. Methods: The observation period extended from 2007 to 2017 and all PubMed-listed publications were considered. Impact factor (IF) was evaluated through the publishing journal's 5-year IF in 2016, as was the IF for each individual publication. Ranking was expressed in quartiles. Results: The staff surgeons of the 38 departments comprised 442 surgeons, of which only 351 (79.4%) were active as first or last authors. Four thousand six hundred and ninety-nine publications published in 702 journals were recorded. The four leading departments in publication number published as much as the last 20 departments (1330 vs. 1336 publications, respectively). The mean of the first (most active) department quartile was 19.6 publications, the second 15.4, the third 11.0, and the last quartile 7.6 per publishing surgeon. The total cumulative impact factor was 14,130. When examining the mean number of publications per publishing surgeons per the 10 year period, the mean of the first quartile was 57.9 cumulative IF, the second 45.0, the third 29.5, and the fourth quartile 17.1. With 352 (7.5%) publications, the most frequently used journal was Chirurg, followed by Langenbeck's Archives of Surgery with 274 (5.8%) publications. Pancreas-related topics led in terms of publication number and IF generated per individual publication. Conclusion: A significant difference in publication performance of individual departments was apparent that cannot be explained by staff number. The spread of digitalisation has led to the global penetration of digital finance in all sectors of the economy. The high relevance of the problem of digital finance necessitates deepening research in this area, in particular by carrying out a comprehensive analysis of the accumulated knowledge in it. The aim of the present research is to reveal the main trends and determinants of the evolution of scientific investigations in the field of digital finance by means of a bibliometric analysis of publications in the journals indexed by the Scopus scientometric database. This study was carried out in accordance with the traditional approach to bibliometric analysis and is aimed at the following objectives: determining the features of the scientific landscape in the field of digital finance by carrying out an evolutionary analysis of publication activity; identification of the main determinants for the development of research by mapping and clustering the existing array of publications using VOSviewer software. The time frame of the study was set as 2008 - 1st quarter of 2024. The results showed that the term «digital finance» is of an interdisciplinary nature. It is found that China is leading in the number of publications in this area, followed by the United States, Great Britain, and India by a notable margin. 8 clusters have been selected that characterise the key research areas. The results of the bibliometric analysis showed that the most significant development of research in the field of digital finance was in 2021-2023, with an emphasis on the development of fintech, banking services and cryptocurrencies. In 2023, it was found that the number of studies on the following issues increased: the Green Deal, COVID-19, ecosystem formation, and green energy. Environmental classifications are of paramount importance for assessing the impacts of land-use changes, for prioritizing conservation efforts, and for developing effective management strategies to mitigate the negative impacts of human activities. The aim of our research was to provide as complete an analysis as possible of the studies that have been carried out using the Braun-Blanquet approach. The global review of studies based on the Braun-Blanquet approach includes 1168 papers and was conducted using the PRISMA 2009 methodological recommendations, strict criteria for the selection/quality of papers, and modern methods of data analysis and visualization using VOSviewer software developed by Nees Jan van Eck and Ludo Waltman (Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) of Leiden University in the Netherlands) (version 1.6.18), which ensures a representative sample, minimization of subjective judgements, and reliability of conclusions. It was noted that the number of publications on Braun-Blanquet is growing exponentially. This is an indication of the scientific interest in this methodology and its continuous further development. Based on a detailed analysis of the keywords, the main research directions and challenges are identified. These include improving the conceptual and methodological foundations of the Braun-Blanquet approach; improvement in regional vegetation classifications, synthesizing them and producing a comprehensive classification for large areas as a basis for biodiversity conservation and sustainable land use; expansion of the geography; compilation and updating of databases of phytosociological data; management of dynamics and vegetation; discussion of the important problem of continuity and discreteness of vegetation in the context of ecological classifications; and vegetation mapping. The top 20 journals publishing the most cited articles were identified, as well as the top 20 most cited journals whose high citation rate is due to the large number of high-quality articles. The analysis of the bibliographic network of papers in dynamics has shown that the structure of relationships is not constant and has changed significantly. The analysis of the authors' publication activity showed that the vast majority of researchers have a low publication activity and have published only one to three papers. A peculiarity also emerges: if all the most cited authors are concentrated in Eurasia, then most of the most actively published authors are outside Eurasia. The importance of the Braun-Blanquet approach for the study and classification of forest vegetation should be emphasized. We evaluated the quantity and quality of scientific publications linked with water treatments using the Web of Science (WoS) database. The WoS was searching by using the following terms "hydrotherapy," "balneotherapy," "spa therapy," "spa treatment," "creno-balneotherapy," "water treatments," and "aqua therapy," on February 10th, 2022. The recorded data were the total number of articles, year of articles, country of articles, journal, document type, index data, and citation data. Also, the studies performed with natural source mineral water were marked to make a further subgroup analysis through quality and quantity. We obtained 816 articles; 667 (81.74%) were original research articles, and 149 (18.26%) were review articles. A statistically significant and increasing trend was shown in the publication about water treatments (p < 0.01). About three-quarters of the trials were sourced from high-income countries. Italy (n = 98; 12.01%); Turkey (n = 75; 9.19%); Australia (n = 65; 7.97%); Brazil (n = 46; 5.64%); and France (n = 38; 4.66%) were the most productive countries. Calculating the number of articles per million population, Hungary (3.38), Australia (2.53), and Italy (1.64) ranked in the top three. According to 100 billion dollars GDP, the top three countries were Brazil (24.41), Hungary (21.15), and Turkey (10.41). In the average citation calculation, the Netherlands (60.84), Israel (29.86), and Australia (29.06) were in the top three. The International Journal of Biometeorology was the leading journal for publication trials about water treatments. In the subgroup analysis, we found the total number of studies performed with natural source mineral water and non-specified source water trials as 430 and 386, respectively. We also presented that the natural source and non-specified water trials had a statistically significant and increasing trend between 2000 and 2021 (p < 0.01 and p < 0.01, respectively). The trials performed with natural source water mainly were sourced from Italy (n = 79; 18.37%), Turkey (n = 61; 14.19%), France (n = 38; 8.84%), Poland (n = 30; 6.98%), and Hungary (n = 29; 6.74%), the trials performed with non-specified water were sourced from Australia (n = 61; 15.80%), Brazil (n = 46; 11.92%), USA (n = 27; 6.99%), Italy (n = 19; 4.92%), and England (n = 18; 4.66%). The top journal of the natural source water trials was the International Journal of Biometeorology (n = 65; 15.12%), and for the non-specified water trials, it was the International Journal of Sports Physiology (n = 12; 3.11%). Our study presented an increasing trend in trial publications regarding water treatments between 2000 and 2021. Most of the trials were from high and upper-middle-income countries. We suggest that by demonstrating global productivity worldwide, our results can create more scientific attention on this topic and may promote the quantity and quality of the trials. The results on the informativeness of the widely known and easy-to-use Hirsch citation index are described briefly, and the advantages and disadvantages are noted. As an alternative, four new three-dimensional citation indices are presented: the M-index, the weighted M-index, the G-index of superhigh citation, and the weighted G-index. For ease of comparing the publication activity of scientists, their unidimensional pseudonorms (estimates) have been introduced. The indicators introduced are easy to use and include the methodology of the Hirsch index, which is familiar to the scientific community; but are significantly more informative than the latter. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the publication activity of chemical institutions of the Russian Academy of Sciences within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in the period 2015–2019 in the field of applied chemistry was performed. The Web of Science database was used as the information source. Analysis was performed using the Zerkalo (Mirror) intellectual system for analysis and prediction of the research activity, developed by the Lebedev Physical Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences. The most significant keywords that largely characterize promising directions in the field of applied chemistry were revealed. The publication effectiveness of research institutions was analyzed by the method of fractional counting with differentiation of contributions from articles. The localization analysis of publications was performed on the basis of the affiliation data indicated in the papers. It revealed stable international cooperation for one third of research teams. This article describes the situation with the publication of scientific research results, which worsened during the pandemic. Measures to counteract the falsification of publishing activities are presented. The article uses R Studio Bibliometrix, VOSviewer, and Connected Papers to structure the scientific work of scientists on the development of educational systems during socio-economic, political, migration, pandemic, and climate crises in the 2020s. The research is based on more than 970 publications (articles, conference abstracts, monographs, and their sections) indexed by Scopus in 2020--2024, selected by keywords: "educational crisis," "education policy response," "education disruption," and "learning loss." The publication activity grew at an annual rate of 16.45%, peaking in 2023, while the peak of public interest (determined by Google Trends) was in 2022. The study consists of seven parts: the first examines shifts and patterns in the fields of educational crisis; the second analyzes influential publications; the third identifies key research institutions; the fourth explores various counties; the fifth highlights prominent researchers in these fields; the sixth delves into key areas of study; and the seventh uncovers core themes and insights in the research. The study identifies a number of important areas of concentration for the study of educational crises from a thematic perspective. These include education disruption and learning loss, and the broader impact of these issues on inclusive growth and sustainable development. Among all the crises that took place in the world in 2020--2024, COVID-19 and the full-scale war in Ukraine had the greatest impact on the transformation of education systems. China and the United States dominate the world in terms of publication activity and citation of articles by scientists from these countries (their point of view actually determines the emphasis with which the scientific world speaks about challenges in education), while scientists from Australia, India, and the United Kingdom have significantly increased their research activity in this area over the study period. Business processes form mechanisms for enterprises functioning. They drive actions, help enterprises achieve results, and be profitable and productive. However, in some cases, enterprises need help in providing new business processes, or some problems occur in old ones. The reason can be risks. In some cases, risks cause unexpected changes in all processes at the enterprise level. Fast and meaningful actions can help to prevent crises. Based on bibliometric and visualization analysis, the research aims to study risk influence on business processes. The papers’ search was conducted using bibliometric analysis. We used the Scopus database, one of the most consequential and up-to-date. Following the setup criteria, we’ve achieved 671 articles for further analysis. To determine articles, we used two keywords, «business process» & «risk», joined with the logical operator «AND». The «title, abstract, keywords» field was used as a search field. We’ve explored gathered and summarized papers in BibExcel. Pajek was used to present the obtained results and build visualization maps. The research allowed achieve some insights. First, the investigated problem is on the rise. Intensification of publication activity only started in 2005. As for now, the peak of publications was in 2022, with 56 papers. Second, the most contributing authors present five countries. So, the investigated problem seems to have a global essence. Nevertheless, cooperation between scientists isn’t deep, and no formed clusters exist. Third, scientists published 7% of papers in two influential journals – Business Process Management Journal & Sustainability. Both journals have high SNIP and belong to Q1. Fourth, scientists from Europe, Asia, North America, Australia, and Africa work on it. Though the United States and the United Kingdom perform in leading positions, Ukraine is tenth, with 23 articles published within ten years. Fifth, three of the most frequently used keywords form three clusters in connection with other keywords. They are risk management, risk assessment, and business process. Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) is a systemic autoinflammatory disease, which presents with recurrent episodes of fever, serositis, synovial inflammation and various different clinical features. In parallel with the geographical distribution of FMF, the prevalence is notably higher in some population groups including Turks, Jews, Armenians and Arabs. The aim of this study was to assess FMF articles published between 2010 and 2019 bibliometrically and to present up-to-date data. This bibliometric research was conducted on the Scopus database. The key term ''familial Mediterranean fever'' was utilized to generate the publication list. The number of articles, active countries journals, prolific authors and citation data were determined. Visualization maps that revealed collaboration networks were also created. The number of FMF articles displayed a stable trend between 2010 and 2019 (p > 0.05). The top five countries according to the number of articles were Turkey (n = 473; 52.90%), Israel (n = 86; 9.61%), Japan (n = 39; 4.36%), Italy (n = 38; 4.25%) and the USA (n = 37; 4.13%. Italy, the USA and France were ranked as the top three countries for the average number of citations per article. Rheumatology International, Clinical Rheumatology, Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology, Annals of Rheumatic Diseases and Pediatric Rheumatology were the top five journals according to the number of FMF articles. The geographical distribution of FMF was seen to affect the article production of countries. Although Turkey dominated the field in the number of articles, it was not at the forefront in the average number of citations.
