Objective: (MSU) crystals usually in the kidney tubules especially collecting ducts in the medulla. Previous animal models have not fully reproduced the impact of MSU on kidneys under non-hyperuricemic conditions. Methods: In the group treated with MSU, the upper pole of the rat kidney was injected intrarenally with 50 mg/kg of MSU, while the lower pole was injected with an equivalent volume of PBS solution. The body weight and kidney mass of the rats were observed and counted. H&E staining was used to observe the pathological damage of the kidney and to count the number of inflammatory cells. Masoon staining was used to observe the interstitial fibrosis in the kidneys of the rat model. Flow cytometric analysis was used for counting inflammatory cells in rats. ElISA was used to measure the concentration of serum and urine uric acid, creatinine and urea nitrogen in rats. Results: At the MSU injection site, a significantly higher infiltration of inflammatory cells and a substantial increase in the area of interstitial fibrosis compared to the control group and the site of PBS injection were observed. The serum creatinine level was significantly increased in the MSU group. However, there were no significant differences in the rats' general conditions or blood inflammatory cell counts when compared to the control group. Conclusion: The injection of urate crystals into the kidney compromised renal function, caused local pathological damage, and increased inflammatory cell infiltration and interstitial fibrosis. Changes in lifestyle induce an increase in patients with hyperuricemia (HUA), leading to gout, gouty arthritis, renal damage, and cardiovascular injury. There is a strong inflammatory response in the process of HUA, while dysregulation of immune cells, including monocytes, macrophages, and T cells, plays a crucial role in the inflammatory response. Recent studies have indicated that urate has a direct impact on immune cell populations, changes in cytokine expression, modifications in chemotaxis and differentiation, and the provocation of immune cells by intrinsic cells to cause the aforementioned conditions. Here we conducted a detailed review of the relationship among uric acid, immune response, and inflammatory status in hyperuricemia and its complications, providing new therapeutic targets and strategies. Lichens host highly complex and diverse microbial communities, which may perform essential functions in these symbiotic micro-ecosystems. In this research, sequencing of 16S rRNA was used to investigate the bacterial communities associated with lichens of two growth forms (foliose and crustose). Results showed that Pseudomonadota, Actinomycetota and Acidobacteriota were dominant phyla in both types of lichens, while Acetobacterales and Hyphomicrobiales were the dominant orders. Alpha diversity index showed that the richness of bacteria hosted by foliose lichens was significantly higher than that hosted by crustose ones. Principal co-ordinates analysis showed a significant difference between beta diversity of the foliose lichen-associated bacterial communities and those of crustose lichen-associated ones. Gene function prediction showed most functions, annotated by the lichen-associated bacteria, to be related to metabolism, suggesting that related bacteria may provide nutrients to their hosts. Generally, our results propose that microbial communities play important roles in fixing nitrogen, providing nutrients, and controlling harmful microorganisms, and are therefore an integral and indispensable part of lichens. To provide experimental basis for the effective development and utilization of Huoshan large-leaf yellow tea resources and the screening of safe and effective active ingredients of large-leaf yellow tea. [Methods] The active substances of Huoshan large-leaf yellow tea were extracted by hot-water extraction, and the freeze-dried powder of Huoshan large-leaf yellow tea was obtained by freeze drying. The antibacterial activity of the extract was preliminarily confirmed using the Oxford cup method, and its antimicrobial spectrum was analyzed using 14 strains. A xylene-induced mouse auricle swelling test was carried out to detect the swelling inhibition rate of the extract and analyze its in-vitro detumescent activity. Then, the antioxidant activity of the extract was identified through a DPPH free radical scavenging capacity test and a ferric reducing antioxidant power assay. [ Results] The extract had significant inhibitory effects on various bacteria. The extract could effectively inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus hirae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Klebsiella pneumonia, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus subtilis, and other strains. The diameter of the inhibition zone increased with the increase of sample concentration. The extract had a significant inhibitory effect on auricle swelling induced by xylene in mice. When the concentration of the drug reached 1.0 mg/mL, its inhibition rate on mouse auricle swelling reached 55.2% (P <0.01), slightly lower than the swelling inhibition rate of the aspirin group (66.52%, P < 0.01). The results of the antioxidant test showed that large-leaf yellow tea extract also had strong activity. Within the concentration range of 0.1 -1.0 mg/mL, its DPPH radical scavenging rate increased with the increase of sample concentration. Within the concentration range of 0.1 -1.0 mg/mL, its DPPH radical scavenging rate increased with the increase of sample concentration. When the concentration reached 1.0 mg/mL, the scavenging rate reached 69.75%. The Fe3 * -reduction capacity of the extract also increased with the increase of sample concentration within the concentration range of 0.1 -2.5 mg/mL. When the concentration was 2.5 mg/mL, the reducing power of the extract reached 1.43 ±0.04. However, its DPPH free radical scavenging rate and reducing power were slightly lower than the capacity of Vc at the same concentration. [ Conclusions] The extract of Huoshan large-leaf yellow tea obtained by hot-water extraction had strong activity in many aspects, including inhibiting the growth of various microbes, subsiding swelling in vitro and resisting oxidation. These experimental results provide certain guiding significance for the basic research of Huoshan large-leaf yellow tea extract, as well as experimental data support for the subsequent development of functional foods and drugs of Huoshan large-leaf yellow tea. Background: Elderly cancer patients are more predisposed to developing nosocomial infections during anti-neoplastic treatment, and are associated with a bleaker prognosis. This study aimed to develop a novel risk classifier to predict the in-hospital death risk of nosocomial infections in this population. Methods: Retrospective clinical data were collected from a National Cancer Regional Center in Northwest China. The Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) algorithm was utilized to filter the optimal variables for model development and avoid model overfitting. Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify the independent predictors of the in-hospital death risk. A nomogram was then developed to predict the in-hospital death risk of each participant. The performance of the nomogram was evaluated using receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve, calibration curve, and decision curve analysis (DCA). Results: A total of 569 elderly cancer patients were included in this study, and the estimated in-hospital mortality rate was 13.9%. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that ECOG-PS (odds ratio [OR]: 4.41, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.95-9.99), surgery type (OR: 0.18, 95%CI: 0.04-0.85), septic shock (OR: 5.92, 95%CI: 2.43-14.44), length of antibiotics treatment (OR: 0.21, 95%CI: 0.09-0.50), and prognostic nutritional index (PNI) (OR: 0.14, 95%CI: 0.06-0.33) were independent predictors of the in-hospital death risk of nosocomial infections in elderly cancer patients. A nomogram was then constructed to achieve personalized in-hospital death risk prediction. ROC curves yield excellent discrimination ability in the training (area under the curve [AUC] =0.882) and validation (AUC=0.825) cohorts. Additionally, the nomogram showed good calibration ability and net clinical benefit in both cohorts. Conclusion: Nosocomial infections are a common and potentially fatal complication in elderly cancer patients. Clinical characteristics and infection types can vary among different age groups. The risk classifier developed in this study could accurately predict the in-hospital death risk for these patients, providing an important tool for personalized risk assessment and clinical decision-making. Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 (CZTSSe) photovoltaic (PV) technology has attracted much attention due to its cost efficiency, non-toxic nature, and use of earth-abundant elements. However, the current world record power conversion efficiency (PCE) of CZTSSe solar cells is 13.0%, lagging far behind the 23.4% of its predecessor Cu(In, Ga)Se2 (CIGS). The open-circuit voltage (VOC) deficit is always the key factor for the unsatisfactory efficiency of CZTSSe solar cells and is mainly related to the mismatch of the energy-band structure and deep-level defects at the interfaces. In this review, the current problems at the interfaces are discussed and recent works on interface engineering are summarized. Objective: Lung cancer is responsible for millions of deaths yearly, and its burden is severe worldwide. This study aimed to investigate the burden of lung cancer in the population of Wuhan based on the surveillance data from 2010 to 2019. Methods: Data of this study was obtained from the Mortality Register System established by the Wuhan Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The study systematically analyzed the burden of lung cancer deaths in the population of Wuhan and its 13 administrative regions from 2010 to 2019 via the Joinpoint regression models, Age-Period-Cohort (APC) models, and decomposition analysis. Results: This study found the upward and downward trends in the agestandardized mortality rates (ASMRs) and age-standardized years of life lost rates (ASYLLRs) of lung cancer from 2010 to 2019. In Joinpoint regression models, the corresponding estimated annual percentage change (EAPC) were 1.00% and -1.90%, 0.60%, and -3.00%, respectively. In APC models, lung cancer mortality tended to increase with age for both sexes in Wuhan, peaking at the 85-89 age group; The period effects for different populations have started to gradually decline in recent years. In addition, the cohort effects indicated that the risk of lung cancer death was highest among those born in the 1950s-1955s, at 1.08 (males) and 1.01 (females). Among all administrative districts in Wuhan, the ASMR of lung cancer in the Xinzhou District has remained the highest over the study period. In decomposition analysis, both population aging (P<0.01) and population growth (P<0.01) aggravated (Z>0) lung cancer deaths in the Wuhan population. Conclusions: The burden of lung cancer death in the Wuhan population has shown a gradual decline in recent years, but the impact of aging and population growth on lung cancer mortality should not be ignored. The taxonomic terms "Phlomis" and "Phlomoides" had been used to describe two sections within the genus Phlomis belonging to the Lamiaceae family. Recently, phylogenetic analyses using molecular markers showed that Phlomis and Phlomoides formed two monophyletic clades, and thus they are generally accepted as separate genera. In this study, we assembled the complete chloroplast genome of Phlomis fruticosa,whichisthe first reported chloroplast genome belonging to Phlomis genus, as well as the complete chloroplast genome of Phlomoides strigosa belonging to Phlomoides genus. The results showed that the length of chloroplast genome was 151,639 bp (Phlomis fruticosa) and 152,432 bp (Phlomoides strigosa), with conserved large single copy regions, small single copy regions, and inverted repeat regions. 121 genes in Phlomis fruticosa and 120 genes in Phlomoides strigosa were annotated. The chloroplast genomes of Phlomis fruticosa, Phlomoides strigosa, and three reported Phlomoides species, as well as those of 51 species from the Lamiaceae family, which covered 12 subfamilies, were subjected to phylogenetic analyses. The Phlomis and Phlomoides species were split into two groups, which were well supported by both maximum likelihood and Bayesian inference tree analyses. Isobavachalcone (IBC) is a prenylated chalcone mainly distributed in some Fabaceae and Moraceae species. IBC exhibits a wide range of pharmacological properties, including anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activities. In this study, we attempted to construct the heterologous biosynthesis pathway of IBC in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum). Four previously reported prenyltransferases, including GuILDT from Glycyrrhiza uralensis, HlPT1 from Humulus lupulus, and SfILDT and SfFPT from Sophora flavescens, were subjected to an in planta screening to verify their activities for the biosynthesis of IBC, by using tobacco transient expression with exogenous isoliquiritigenin as the substrate. Only SfFPT and HlPT1 could convert isoliquiritigenin to IBC, and the activity of SfFPT was higher than that of HlPT1. By co-expression of GmCHS8 and GmCHR5 from Glycine max, endogenous isoliquiritigenin was generated in tobacco leaves (21.0 mg/g dry weight). After transformation with a multigene vector carrying GmCHS8, GmCHR5, and SfFPT, de novo biosynthesis of IBC was achieved in transgenic tobacco T0 lines, in which the highest amount of IBC was 0.56 mg/g dry weight. The yield of IBC in transgenic plants was nearly equal to that in SfFPT transient expression experiments, in which substrate supplement was sufficient, indicating that low IBC yield was not attributed to the substrate supplement. Background. Recent studies have characterized that microRNA (miRNA) is a suitable candidate for the study of bleomycin/LPS-induced pulmonary fibrosis, but the knowledge on miRNA in bacteria-induced pulmonary fibrosis (BIPF) is limited. Forest musk deer (Moschus berezovskii, FMD) is an important endangered species that has been seriously affected by BIPF. We sought to determine whether miRNA exist that modulates the pathogenesis of BIPF in FMD. Methods. High-throughput sequencing and RT-qPCR were used to determine the differentially expressed miRNAs (DEmiRNAs) in the blood of BIPF FMD. The DEmiRNAs were further detected in the blood and lung of BIPF model rat by RT-qPCR, and the targeting relationship between candidate miRNA and its potential target gene was verified by dual-luciferase reporter activity assay. Furthermore, the function of the candidate miRNA was verified in the FMD lung fibroblast cells (FMD-C1). Results. Here we found that five deadFMDwere suffered from BIPF, and six circulating miRNAs (miR-30g, let-7f-5p, miR-27-3p, miR-25-3p, miR-9-5p and miR-652) were differentially expressed in the blood of the BIPF FMD. Of these, let-7f-5p showed reproducibly lower level in the blood and lung of the BIPF model rat, and the expression levels of PI3K/AKT/COX2 signaling pathway genes (PIK3CA, PDK1, Akt1, IKBKA, NF-κB1 and COX2) were increased in the lung of BIPF model rats, suggesting that there is a potential correlation between BIPF and the PI3K/AKT/COX2 signaling pathway. Notably, using bioinformatic prediction and experimental verification, we demonstrated that let-7f-5p is conserved across mammals, and the seed sequence of let-7f-5p displays perfect complementarity with the 3' UTR of PIK3CA gene and the expression of the PIK3CA gene was regulated by let-7f-5p. In order to determine the regulatory relationship between let-7f-5p and the PI3K/AKT/COX2 signaling pathway in FMD, we successfully cultured FMD-C1, and found that let-7f-5p could act as a negative regulator for the PI3K/Akt/COX2 signaling pathway in FMD-C1. Collectively, this study not only provided a study strategy for non-invasive research in pulmonary disease in rare animals, but also laid a foundation for further research in BIPF. Vanillic acid, a phenolic compound mainly obtained from the foot of Picrorhiza scrophulariiflora Pennell, has been demonstrated to possess a cardiovascular-protective effect in previous studies. However, there is lack of research on vanillic acid protecting cardiomyocytes from oxidative stress injury by mediating mitophagy. In the present study, oxidative stress injury in the H9c2 cell line was induced by H2O2. Our results confirmed that vanillic acid mitigated apoptosis and injury triggered by oxidative stress, evidenced by the decline in production of reactive oxygen species and malondialdehyde and level of lactate dehydrogenase and the increase of superoxide dismutase and glutathione. The use of vanillic acid could also improve the polarization of mitochondrial membrane potential and decrease the cellular calcium level. After treatment by vanillic acid, impaired autophagy flux and mitophagy were improved, and the length of mitochondria was restored. Vanillic acid increased the expression of PINK1, Parkin, Mfn2, and the ratio of LC3-II/LC3-I and decreased the expression of p62. But, under the intervention of mitophagy inhibitor 3-MA, vanillic acid could not change the expression of PINK1/Parkin/Mfn2 and downstream genes to affect cell autophagy, mitophagy, and mitochondrial function. Our findings suggested that vanillic acid activated mitophagy to improve mitochondrial function, in which the PINK1/Parkin/Mfn2 pathway could be the potential regulatory mechanism. Background: The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR) are biomarkers that may reflect inflammatory status in some immune-related diseases. This study aims to investigate the association of NLR and MLR with the severity and prognosis of autoimmune encephalitis (AE). Methods: A total of 199 patients diagnosed with AE in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from October 2015 to October 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. The Clinical Assessment Scale for Autoimmune Encephalitis (CASE) and the modified Rankin Scale (mRS) were used to evaluate the severity of the patients at admission, and the patients were divided into mild group (CASE ≤ 4) and severe group (CASE ≥ 5) according to the CASE score. Poor prognosis was described as an mRS of 3 or more at 12 months. Binary logistic regression analysis was performed to assess risk factors for the severity and prognosis of AE. Results: NLR and MLR of severe group were significantly higher than that of mild group. NLR and MLR were positively correlated with the CASE score (r = 0.659, P < 0.001; r = 0.533, P < 0.001) and the mRS score (r = 0.609, P < 0.001;r = 0.478, P < 0.001) in AE patients. Multivariate logistic analysis showed that NLR (OR = 1.475, 95%CI: 1.211- 1.796, P < 0.001) and MLR (OR = 15.228, 95%CI: 1.654-140.232, P = 0.016) were independent risk factors for the severity of AE. In addition, the CASE score and the mRS score were positively correlated (r = 0.849, P < 0.001). Multivariate logistic analysis showed that the CASE at admission (OR = 1.133, 95%CI: 1.043-1.229, P = 0.003) and age (OR = 1.105, 95%CI: 1.062-1.150, P < 0.001) were independent risk factors for the poor prognosis of AE patients. The NLR and MLR at admission and whether they decreased after immunotherapy were not associated with the prognosis of AE patients (P > 0.05). Conclusions: NLR and MLR, readily available and widespread inflammatory markers, were helpful for clinicians to monitor disease progression and identify potentially severe patients of AE early to optimize clinical treatment decisions. The Hainan gibbon is one of the most endangered primates in the world, with a small population size, narrow distribution range, and high inbreeding risk, which retains the risk of species extinction. To explore the composition and functional differences of the intestinal microbiome of Hainan gibbons at different ages, the faecal microbiomes of young and adult Hainan gibbons were analysed using metagenome sequencing. The results showed that the dominant phyla in the intestinal tract of young and adult Hainan gibbons were Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes, and the dominant genus was Prevotella. Linear discriminant analysis effect size analysis showed that Firmicutes, Ruminococcus, Clostridium, and Butyrivibrio were significantly more abundant in adults than in young, whereas Bacteroidetes, Proteobacteria, Prevotella, and Bacteroides were significantly more abundant in young than in adults. In terms of gene function, the adult Hainan gibbon intestinal microbiome generally harboured a higher abundance of genes related to metabolic processes, such as carbohydrate, amino acid, and nucleotide metabolism. This may be due to adaptive advantages for adult Hainan gibbons, such as stable and mature intestinal microbiome composition, which allows them to utilise diverse foods efficiently. In summary, this study helps understand the dynamic changes in the intestinal microbiome of young and adult Hainan gibbons and plays a key role in the health monitoring and rejuvenation of their population. Forest musk deer (Moschus berezovskii) is an endangered, protected species in China. Intestinal coccidiosis is a significant problem for captive forest musk deer. However, there are few reports on the prevalence and molecular characteristics of Eimeria sp. in forest musk deer. We sought to investigate the prevalence of Eimeria sp. in forest musk deer in the Sichuan and Shaanxi provinces in China. We also investigated the molecular characteristics of Eimeria sp. by analyzing the 18S rRNA gene. We collected a total of 328 fecal samples from forest musk deer on seven farms throughout the Sichuan and Shaanxi provinces. We extracted this parasite’s DNA and used this as a template for nested PCR amplification. The 18S rRNA gene fragment was associated with the plasmid vector, and these products were introduced into Escherichia coli (DH5a). The cultured bacterial solution was used as a PCR reaction template for identification purposes. We collected 328 fecal samples from forest musk deer in Lixian (n = 54), Maoxian (n = 52), Ma’erkang (n = 49), Dujiangyan (n = 55), Hanyuan (n = 41), Luding (n = 36) and Weinan (n = 41). One hundred ninety-eight (60.37%) fecal samples tested positive for Eimeria sp. . In our analysis of the 18S rRNA gene we found 34 types of Eimeria sp. with a similarity of 90.5–100%. We constructed a phylogenetic tree based on the parasite’s 18S rRNA gene sequence. Our findings indicated that the Eimeria sp. that parasitized the intestinal tract of forest musk deer was closely related to Eimeria alabamensis from Bos taurus and Eimeria ahsata from Ovis aries. To the best of our knowledge, ours was the first investigation and molecular identification of Eimeria sp. sampled from captive forest musk deer in China. Weaning is an important event for all mammals, including young forest musk deer. However, weaning stress may cause intestinal microbiota-related disorders. Therefore, high-throughput 16S rRNA gene sequencing was applied to study the dynamic changes in intestinal microbiota during pre-weaning (10 days before weaning) and post-weaning (10 days after weaning) in 15 young forest musk deer. We saw that intestinal microbiota diversity in the post-weaning period was significantly higher than that in the pre-weaning period. The most dominant bacterial phyla were similar in the two groups (Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes and Verrucomicrobia). Meanwhile, we applied Linear discriminant analysis effect size (LefSe) to identify the most differentially microbial taxa in the pre-weaning and post-weaning groups. In the post-weaning forest musk deer, the relative abundance of Actinobacteria, Spirochaetes, Ruminococcaceae_UCG-005, Treponema and Prevotella was higher than in the pre-weaning group. However, higher relative abundance of the phyla Bacteroidetes was found in the pre-weaning group compared with that in the post-weaning group. In summary, this research provides a theoretical foundation for the dynamics of young forest musk deer intestinal microbiota during the weaning transition, which may benefit in understanding the growth and health of forest musk deer. Visual Question Answering (VQA) is a challenging task that has gained increasing attention from both the computer vision and the natural language processing communities in recent years. Given a question in natural language, a VQA system is designed to automatically generate the answer according to the referenced visual content. Though there recently has been much intereset in this topic, the existing work of visual question answering mainly focuses on a single static image, which is only a small part of the dynamic and sequential visual data in the real world. As a natural extension, video question answering (VideoQA) is less explored. Because of the inherent temporal structure in the video, the approaches of ImageQA may be ineffectively applied to video question answering. In this article, we not only take the spatial and temporal dimension of video content into account but also employ an external knowledge base to improve the answering ability of the network. More specifically, we propose a knowledge-based progressive spatial-temporal attention network to tackle this problem. We obtain both objects and region features of the video frames from a region proposal network. The knowledge representation is generated by a word-level attention mechanism using the comment information of each object that is extracted from DBpedia. Then, we develop a questionknowledge- guided progressive spatial-temporal attention network to learn the joint video representation for video question answering task. This study used 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing technology to examine the differences in gut microbiota between the Père David's deer populations in the Beijing and Shishou areas of China in order to understand the effects of ex situ conservation on the intestinal microflora in the Père David's deer. Results: On the phylum level, the main bacteria found in the Père David's deer populations from both areas were similar: Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes. However, the relative abundances of the two groups were significantly different. Alpha diversity results indicated that there was a difference in the evenness of the microflora between the two groups, and the beta diversity results further indicated that there was a significant difference in the microflora structure between the two groups. Conclusions: During the ex situ conservation process of the Père David's deer, their food sources may change, resulting in differences in the gut microbiota. The intestinal microflora in the Père David's deer from the same area are clustered. They take up the majority of the total time input in spite of the availability of well-designed specialized commercial kits. A similar situation is also in the field of biotechnology. Fortunately, microwave/ultrasonic irradiation has been found to be capable of speeding up these processes, such as proteolysis in sample preparation for proteomics research, and digestion, ligation, (de)phosphorylation of DNA with the corresponding enzymes, even the introduction of DNA samples to recipient cells, and biotransformation (e.g., the production of biodiesel). Microwave/ultrasonic irradiation, when used solely or in combination with other existing operations, makes it possible to finish these time-consuming processes in as short as 1 min with comparable or even improved efficiency, and there is no need of reagent upgradation. The adoption of irradiation is ideal because it eliminates any possible side effects of the chemicals used as performance enhancer(s) that will inevitably make the system more complicated at least. More notably, the needed irradiation in the laboratory can be generated by a common microwave oven or ultrasonic cleaner. Taken together, microwave/ultrasonic irradiation provides an accessible method to make the procedures mentioned above time- and cost- efficient. The large and complex gut microbiota in animals has profound effects on feed utilization and metabolism. Currently, gastrointestinal diseases due to dysregulated gut microbiota are considered important factors that limit growth of the captive forest musk deer population. Compared with captive forest musk deer, wild forest musk deer have a wider feeding range with no dietary limitations, and their gut microbiota are in a relatively natural state. However, no reports have compared the gut microbiota between wild and captive forest musk deer. To gain insight into the composition of gut microbiota in forest musk deer under different food-source conditions, we employed high-throughput 16S rRNA sequencing technology to investigate differences in the gut microbiota occurring between captive and wild forest musk deer. Both captive and wild forest musk deer showed similar microbiota at the phylum level, which consisted mainly of Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes, although significant differences were found in their relative abundances between both groups. α-Diversity results showed that no significant differences occurred in the microbiota between both groups, while β-diversity results showed that significant differences did occur in their microbiota compositions. In summary, our results provide important information for improving feed preparation for captive forest musk deer and implementing projects where captive forest musk deer are released into the wild. Numerous national associations and multiple reviews have documented the safety and efficacy of strength training for children and adolescents. The literature highlights the significant training-induced increases in strength associated with youth strength training. However, the effectiveness of youth strength training programs to improve power measures is not as clear. This discrepancy may be related to training and testing specificity.Most prior youth strength training programs emphasized lower intensity resistance with relatively slow movements. Since power activities typically involve higher intensity, explosive-like contractions with higher angular velocities (e.g., plyometrics), there is a conflict between the training medium and testing measures. This meta-analysis compared strength (e.g., training with resistance or body mass) and power training programs (e.g., plyometric training) on proxies of muscle strength, power and speed. A systematic literature search using a Boolean Search Strategy was conducted in the electronic databases PubMed, SPORT Discus,Web of Science and Google Scholar and revealed 652 hits. After perusal of title, abstract and full text, 107 studies were eligible for inclusion in this systematic review and meta-analysis. The meta-analysis showed small to moderate magnitude changes for training specificity with jump measures. In other words, power training was more effective than strength training for improving youth jump height. For sprint measures, strength training was more effective than power training with youth. Furthermore, strength training exhibited consistently large magnitude changes to lower body strength measures, which contrasted with the generally trivial, small and moderate magnitude training improvements of power training upon lower body strength, sprint and jump measures, respectively. Maturity related inadequacies in eccentric strength and balance might influence the lack of training specificity with the unilateral landings and propulsions associated with sprinting. Based on this meta-analysis, strength training should be incorporated prior to power training in order to establish an adequate foundation of strength for power training activities. Negative transconductance (NTC) refers to the phenomenon of the N-shape transfer characteristic appearing with a current peak and valley. It has been extensively studied in the past few decades due to its applications in logic and memory devices. Here, we observe unique antibipolar transfer characteristics and NTC behavior in multi-layer 2,6-diphenyl anthracene organic thin-film transistors grown on h-BN, which is due to the vertical potential barrier between the charge accumulation region near the substrate and the neutral bulk region under the contacts. The applied extrinsic electric field could effectively modulate the barrier height, resulting in a competition for charge carrier transport between lateral and vertical directions. Based on the NTC and antibipolar properties, a frequency doubler has been fabricated on a single transistor, which provides a new building block for organic logic circuits. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
