Radiation anomalies in optical remote sensing images frequently occur due to electronic issues within the image sensor or data transmission errors. These radiation anomalies can be categorized into several types, including CCD, StripeNoise, RandomCode1, RandomCode2, ImageMissing, and Tap. To ensure the retention of image data with minimal radiation issues as much as possible, this paper adopts a self-made radiation dataset and proposes a FlexVisionNet-YOLO network to detect radiation anomalies more accurately. Firstly, RepViT is used as the backbone network with a vision transformer architecture to better capture global and local features. Its multiscale feature fusion mechanism efficiently handles targets of different sizes and shapes, enhancing the detection ability for radiation anomalies. Secondly, a feature depth fusion network is proposed in the Feature Fusion part, which significantly improves the flexibility and accuracy of feature fusion and thus enhances the detection and classification performance of complex remote sensing images. Finally, Inner-CIoU is used in the Head part for edge regression, which significantly improves the localization accuracy by finely adjusting the target edges; Slide-Loss is used for classification loss, which enhances the classification robustness by dynamically adjusting the category probabilities and markedly improves the classification accuracy, especially in the sample imbalance dataset. Experimental results show that, compared to YOLOv8, the proposed FlexVisionNet-YOLO method improves precision, recall, mAP0.5, and mAP0.5:0.9 by 3.5%, 7.1%, 4.4%, and 13.6%, respectively. Monitoring and controlling of transmission lines become easier in real time with synchrophasor measurements technology. Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) provide the time-stamped synchrophasor data of the system buses and transmission lines with a high reporting rate. In this paper, a mathematical model is implemented that allows the simulation of the characteristics of the spread of transmission line switching with load variations. In the model, the transmission lines are divided into three parts defined as susceptible, infected and recovered transmission lines inspired from epidemic model. In this paper, Reliability Test System (RTS − 1979) is divided into three zones to simulate the line switching spread behaviour with load variation for reliability and vulnerability analysis of the synchrophasor smart grid network. The anomaly exists with synchrophasor measuring devices due to cyber intrusion in communication network or failure of devices makes the system observable with the characterization of vulnerable behaviour of transmission lines. The adoption of blockchain platforms to bolster the security of Internet of Things (IoT) systems has attracted significant attention in recent years. Currently, there is a lack of comprehensive and systematic survey papers in the literature addressing these platforms. This paper discusses six of the most popular emerging blockchain platforms adopted by IoT systems and analyses their usage in state-of-the-art works to solve security problems. The platform was compared in terms of security features and other requirements. Findings from the study reveal that most blockchain components contribute directly or indirectly to IoT security. Blockchain platform components such as cryptography, consensus mechanism, and hashing are common ways that security is achieved in all blockchain platform for IoT. Technologies like Interplanetary File System (IPFS) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) can further enhance data and communication security when used alongside blockchain. To enhance the applicability of blockchain in resource-constrained IoT environments, future research should focus on refining cryptographic algorithms and consensus mechanisms to optimise performance and security. This paper discusses the design and implementation of a portable IoT station. Communication and data synchronization issues in several installations are addressed here, making possible a detailed analysis of the entire system during its operation. The system operator requires a synchronized data stream, combining multiple communication protocols into one single time stamp. The hardware selected for the portable IoT station complies with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) industrial standards. A short discussion regarding interface customization shows how easily the hardware can be modified so that it is integrated with almost any system. A programmable logic controller enables the Node-RED to be utilized. This open-source middleware defines operations for each global variable nominated in the Modbus register. Two applications are presented and discussed in this paper; each application has a distinct methodology utilized to publish and visualize the acquired data. The portable IoT station is highly customizable, consisting of a modular structure and providing the best platform for future research and development of dedicated algorithms. Graham and Pollack in 1971 presented applications of eigenvalues of the distance matrix in addressing problems in data communication systems. Spectral graph theory employs tools from linear algebra to retrieve the properties of a graph from the spectrum of graph-theoretic matrices. The study of graphs with "few eigenvalues" is a contemporary problem in spectral graph theory. This paper studies graphs with few distinct distance eigenvalues. After mentioning the classification of graphs with one and two distinct distance eigenvalues, we mainly focus on graphs with three distinct distance eigenvalues. Characterizing graphs with three distinct distance eigenvalues is "highly" non-trivial. In this paper, we classify all trees whose distance matrix has precisely three distinct eigenvalues. Our proof is different from earlier existing proof of the result as our proof is extendable to other similar families such as unicyclic and bicyclic graphs. The main tools which we employ include interlacing and equitable partitions. We also list all the connected graphs on ν ≤ 6 vertices and compute their distance spectra. Importantly, all these graphs on ν ≤ 6 vertices are determined from their distance spectra. With the rapid development of wireless technology and Mobile communication technology worldwide, Mobile Learning represents a new learning trend in the field of higher education, and has gradually become the development trend and research hotspot of independent learning and lifelong learning. Based on modern wireless network mobile communication terminal technology, this paper proposes a Granott model-driven mobile learning system. Firstly, the Granott model is studied and analyzed, and the ubiquitous computing with physical integration and spontaneous interoperation is used to control the Android mobile terminal, which greatly improves the interactivity of M-Learning. Then JSON is selected to optimize the data transmission format in Ajax, and j Query is used to parse JSON data. Ajax + JSON + j Query can shield the complexity of DOM parsing XML files, greatly shorten the data transmission time and improve the efficiency of Granott model. Finally, the Fast kernel density estimation (Fast KDE) algorithm is introduced to compress the data transmitted by Ajax + JSON + j Query, so as to obtain a reasonable number of training samples. Through experiments and relevant data analysis, the proposed mobile learning system based on modern wireless network mobile communication terminal technology, optimized by JSON and Fast KDE algorithm, driven by Granott model, can efficiently complete the learning task, and improve the ubiquity, interactivity, timeliness of mobile learning. As blockchain technology advances, cross-chain interoperability has become a crucial requirement for achieving seamless interaction among multiple chains. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a scholarly approach to the development of a cross-chain-secure transmission technique, incorporating the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and the SM algorithm, which is based on trusted roots. This research paper elaborates on the design and implementation of the cross-chain-secure transmission technique based on TPM and the SM algorithm, emphasizing the academic rigor necessary for addressing the security requirements of cross-chain interactions. The research shows that compared with the previous method, the throughput of production capacity is not significantly different from that before and after adding the network delay, and the success rate of preventing attacks is increased by 46.9% by simulating related attacks. This paper studies the problem of scheduling control data transmissions from embedded processors to physical systems. For this problem, we propose novel state feedback and output feedback control architectures that are predicated on energy function-based and norm-free event-triggering conditions, where the embedded processor broadcasts a sampled data of its control signal value through a zero-order-hold operator to the physical system when the left side of the event-triggering condition equals to its right side. In this context, the energy function-based feature means that the right sides of the proposed event-triggering conditions involve an energy function as well as its time-derivative to make the selection of these right sides user-adjustable. Furthermore, the norm-free feature means that the left sides of the proposed event-triggering conditions do not depend on signal norms to allow for better control data transmission reduction. System-theoretical analyses of our event-triggered state feedback and output feedback control architectures are shown using the same energy functions and their time-derivatives used in the proposed event-triggering conditions, where illustrative numerical examples are also presented to demonstrate the efficacy of our contributions. Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) is widely used. In practical engineering applications, the transmitter and receiver of a stable and reliable WPT system need to establish not only a power transmission channel but also a data transmission channel to realize closed-loop control and information interaction. In this paper, a novel simultaneous wireless power and data transfer system based on a series–parallel (SP) resonant network is proposed. The system integrates an SP higher-order resonant network with series carrier injection, which makes power transmission and data transmission share a magnetic coupling channel. The isolation between power and data is realized by exploiting the frequency characteristics of the compensation network, thus realizing efficient power transmission and data transmission. In this paper, accurate and detailed mathematical modeling of the system is conducted, and the gain characteristics of the power transmission channel and the data transmission channel are demonstrated. Meanwhile, the mutual interference between the two channels is analyzed, and a feasible and effective parameter design method is developed. Finally, an experimental prototype with an output power of 16 W and a backward data rate of 100 Kbps is constructed to verify the feasibility of the proposed system and the correctness of the parameter design. As an open network architecture, Wireless Computing Power Networks (WCPN) pose new challenges for achieving efficient and secure resource management in networks, because of issues such as insecure communication channels and untrusted device terminals. Blockchain, as a shared, immutable distributed ledger, provides a secure resource management solution for WCPN. However, integrating blockchain into WCPN faces challenges like device heterogeneity, monitoring communication states, and dynamic network nature. Whereas Digital Twins (DT) can accurately maintain digital models of physical entities through real-time data updates and self-learning, enabling continuous optimization of WCPN, improving synchronization performance, ensuring real-time accuracy, and supporting smooth operation of WCPN services. In this paper, we propose a DT for blockchain-empowered WCPN architecture that guarantees real-time data transmission between physical entities and digital models. We adopt an enumeration-based optimal placement algorithm (EOPA) and an improved simulated annealing-based near-optimal placement algorithm (ISAPA) to achieve minimum average DT synchronization latency under the constraint of DT error. This paper proposes a 6Gb/s receiver for 8K displays and beyond. In the proposed receiver, a novel channel coding with 1.96% overhead is presented to guarantee minimum run‐length in the clock embedded interface. It can also reduce bandwidth for effective data transmission compared to 9b/10b coding that requires 11.11% overhead. Furthermore, we present an on‐chip eye margin tester that can measure the internal timing margin of receiver with only 1% area overhead. This paper proposes an algorithm for the conversion of raster data to hexagonal DGGSs in the GPU by redevising the encoding and decoding mechanisms. The researchers first designed a data structure based on rhombic tiles to convert the hexagonal DGGS to a texture format acceptable for GPUs, thus avoiding the irregularity of the hexagonal DGGS. Then, the encoding and decoding methods of the tile data based on space-filling curves were designed, respectively, so as to reduce the amount of data transmission from the CPU to the GPU. Finally, the researchers improved the algorithmic efficiency through thread design. To validate the above design, raster integration experiments were conducted based on the global Aster 30 m digital elevation dataDEM, and the experimental results showed that the raster integration accuracy of this algorithms was around 1 m, while its efficiency could be improved to more than 600 times that of the algorithm for integrating the raster data to the hexagonal DGGS data, executed in the CPU. Therefore, the researchers believe that this study will provide a feasible method for the efficient and stable integration of massive raster data based on a hexagonal grid, which may well support the organization of massive raster data in the field of GIS. In this paper, a design model for resource allocation is formulated beyond 5G networks for effective data allocations in each network nodes. In all networks, data is transmitted only after allocating all resources, and an unrestrained approach is established because the examination of resources is not carried out in the usual manner. However, if data transmission needs to occur, some essential resources can be added to the network. Moreover, these resources can be shared using a parallel optimization approach, as outlined in the projected model. Further the designed model is tested and verified with four case studies by using resource allocator toolbox with parallax where the resources for power and end users are limited within the ranges of 1.4% and 6%. Furthermore, in the other two case studies, which involve coefficient determination and blockage factors, the outcomes of the proposed approach fall within the marginal error constraint of approximately 31% and 87%, respectively. Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communication (URLLC) is mostly used for core services in the fifth generation (5G) and beyond cellular networks. Due to the conflicting demands of low latency and extremely high reliability, the ongoing research on this subject remains in its nascent phase. The utilization of Device-to-Device (D2D) communication shows great potential in facilitating URLLC. The implementation of URLLC and its Quality of Service (QoS) requirements may encounter high power consumption in dynamic wireless channels, potentially conflicting with the system's power limitations. In this paper, a packet delivery mechanism is introduced, aiming to achieve energy efficiency by incorporating a Power-Aware QoS-centric Preemptive Dropping mechanism to minimize latency while ensuring the successful transmission of URLLC data. The method aims to optimize bandwidth and channel assignment to effectively reduce overall power consumption. The optimization problem is formulated which is non-convex, posing challenges in selecting an optimal solution. To address this problem, we have undertaken the task of transforming the original problem into two subproblems: bandwidth allocation and subchannel assignment. To achieve optimal resource allocation for the formulated problem, we propose the Optimal Bandwidth Allocation (OBA) and Optimal Sub-channel Assignment (OSA) algorithms. The simulation results validate the proposed method outperforms the benchmark schemes, demonstrating higher energy efficiency ranging from 6.96 to 31.6%, as well as a reduction in latency ranging from 5.7 to 25.67%. Fog computing and the Internet of Things (IoT) have revolutionized healthcare monitoring systems, enabling real-time health data collection and transmission while overcoming cloud computing limitations. However, efficiently selecting fog nodes for application modules with varying deadline requirements and ensuring adherence to quality of service (QoS) criteria pose significant challenges due to resource constraints and device limitations. In this paper, we present a novel two-layered hierarchical design for fog devices, leveraging cluster aggregation to optimize the selection of fog nodes for healthcare applications. We introduce three efficient algorithms to minimize system latency and reduce energy consumption in fog computing environments. Our proposed model is rigorously evaluated using the iFogSim toolkit and compared with cloud-based and latency-aware model [Mahmud R, Ramamohanarao K, Buyya R in ACM Transactions on Internet Technology.19, 2018, 10.1145/3186592]. In four distinct network topologies, our model exhibits an average latency reduction of at least 87% and energy consumption reduction of at least 76% when compared to the Cloud-based model. Similarly, when compared to the Latency-aware model proposed in [Mahmud R, Ramamohanarao K, Buyya R in ACM Transactions on Internet Technology. 19, 2018, 10.1145/3186592], our model showcases a minimum reduction of 43% in average latency and 27% in energy consumption. Existing skeleton-based action recognition methods face the challenges of insufficient spatiotemporal feature mining and a low efficiency of information transmission. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a model called the Spatial–Temporal Attention Residual Network for 3D human action recognition (3D-STARNET). This model significantly improves the performance of action recognition through the following three main innovations: (1) the conversion from skeleton points to heat maps. Using Gaussian transform to convert skeleton point data into heat maps effectively reduces the model's strong dependence on the original skeleton point data and enhances the stability and robustness of the data; (2) a spatiotemporal attention mechanism (STA). A novel spatiotemporal attention mechanism is proposed, focusing on the extraction of key frames and key areas within frames, which significantly enhances the model's ability to identify behavioral patterns; (3) a multi-stage residual structure (MS-Residual). The introduction of a multi-stage residual structure improves the efficiency of data transmission in the network, solves the gradient vanishing problem in deep networks, and helps to improve the recognition efficiency of the model. Experimental results on the NTU-RGBD120 dataset show that 3D-STARNET has significantly improved the accuracy of action recognition, and the top1 accuracy of the overall network reached 96.74%. This method not only solves the robustness shortcomings of existing methods, but also improves the ability to capture spatiotemporal features, providing an efficient and widely applicable solution for action recognition based on skeletal data. Due to the deficiency of radio spectrum resources caused by the progress in technology, cognitive radio networks (CRNs) have made significant progress. CRNs have two types of users, namely, primary users (PUs) and secondary users (SUs). Considering that PUs have a higher priority and diversified data transmission requirements, this study divides PUs into two levels, namely, PU1s with a higher priority and PU2s with a lower priority. On the other hand, the occurrence of failures is inevitable in CRNs, which affects the data transmission of users. In this paper, combined with an adjustable PU packets transmission rate mechanism, a communication failure and repair mechanism with classified PUs based on the single-channel CRNs is proposed, and different preemption principles are set according to different system states. A queueing model is established and analyzed with a Markov chain, the performance index expressions that need targeted research are listed, numerical experiments are conducted, and the system performance change trends are obtained. The comparison experiment shows that the proposed communication failure and repair mechanism with classified PUs can improve the throughput of PU1 packets and reduce the blocking rate of PU1 packets compared with the conventional communication failure and repair mechanisms with unclassified PUs. A digitizer is considered one of the fundamental components of an earthquake monitoring system. In this paper, we design and implement a high accuracy seismic digitizer. The implemented digitizer consists of several blocks, i.e., the analog-to-digital converter (ADC), GPS receiver, and microprocessor. Three finite impulse response (FIR) filters are used to decimate the sampling rate of the input seismic data according to user needs. A graphical user interface (GUI) has been designed for enabling the user to monitor the seismic waveform in real time, and process and adjust the parameters of the acquisition unit. The system casing is designed to resist harsh conditions of the environment. The prototype can represent the three component sensors data in the standard MiniSEED format. The digitizer stream seismic data from the remote station to the main center is based on TCP/IP connection. This protocol ensures data transmission without any losses as long as the data still exist in the ring buffer. The prototype was calibrated by real field testing. The prototype digitizer is integrated with the Egyptian National Seismic Network (ENSN), where a commercial instrument is already installed. Case studies shows that, for the same event, the prototype station improves the solution of the ENSN by giving accurate timing and seismic event parameters. Field test results shows that the event arrival time and the amplitude are approximately the same between the prototype digitizer and the calibrated digitizer. Furthermore, the frequency contents are similar between the two digitizers. Therefore, the prototype digitizer captures the main seismic parameters accurately, irrespective of noise existence. Survivability is a critical concern in WSNs, heavily influenced by energy efficiency. Addressing severe energy constraints in WSNs requires solutions that meet application goals while prolonging network life. This paper presents an Energy Optimization Approach (EOAMRCL) for WSNs, integrating the Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) for enhanced performance. EOAMRCL aims to enhance energy efficiency by selecting the optimal duty-cycle schedule, transmission power, and routing paths. The proposed approach employs a centralized strategy using a hierarchical network architecture. During the cluster formation phase, an objective function, augmented with GWO, determines the ideal cluster heads (CHs). The routing protocol then selects routes with minimal energy consumption for data transmission to CHs, using transmission power as a metric. In the transmission phase, the MAC layer forms a duty-cycle schedule based on cross-layer routing information, enabling nodes to switch between active and sleep modes according to their network allocation vectors (NAVs). This process is further optimized by an enhanced CSMA/CA mechanism, which incorporates sleep/activate modes and pairing nodes to alternate between active and sleep states. This integration reduces collisions, improves channel assessment accuracy, and lowers energy consumption, thereby enhancing overall network performance. EOAMRCL was evaluated in a MATLAB environment, demonstrating superior performance compared with EEUC, DWEHC, and CGA-GWO protocols, particularly in terms of network lifetime and energy consumption. Due to the ability of optical modulators to achieve rapid modulation of optical signals, meeting the demands of high-speed data transmission, modulators based on different novel nanomaterials have become one of the research hotspots over the past dacade. Recently, TiN/Ti3C2 heterojunction exhibits highly efficient thermo-optic performance and extremely strong stability. Therefore, we have demonstrated an all-optical modulator based on the principle of Michelson interference and the thermo-optic effect in this paper. The modulator employs a TiN/Ti3C2 heterojunction-coated microfiber (THM) and further demonstrates its ability to generate phase shifts through an ASE light source. The modulator, with a phase shift slope of 0.025π/mW, can also convert the phase shifts of signal light into amplitude modulation through Michelson interference. The fixed signal light wavelength is 1552.09 nm, and the modulation depth is stable at about 26.4 dB within a wavelength detuning range of −10 to 6 nm; The waveforms of signal light at modulation rates of 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz, and 3000 Hz were tested, and a 3 dB modulation bandwidth of 2 kHz was measured. This paper introduces a novel, small-sized, highly integrated, circularly polarized wide-angle scanning antenna using substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) technology at millimeter-wave frequencies. The antenna unit addresses requirements for high data transmission rates, wide spatial coverage, and strong interference resistance in communication systems. By integrating radiating square waveguides, circular polarizers, filters, and matching loads, the antenna enhances out-of-band suppression, eliminates cross-polarization, and reduces manufacturing complexity and costs. Utilizing this antenna unit as a component, a 4 × 4 phased array antenna with a two-dimensional ±60° scanning capability is designed and simulated. Silicon-based optical switches are integral to on-chip optical interconnects, and mode-division multiplexing (MDM) technology has enabled modes to function as carriers in routing, further boosting optical switches' link capacity. However, traditional multimode optical switches, which typically use Mach–Zehnder interferometer (MZI) structures and mode (de)multiplexers, are complex and occupy significant physical space. In this paper, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel demultiplexing-free dual-mode 3 × 3 thermal-optical switch based on micro-rings (MRs) and mode exchangers (MEs). All MRs are designed to handle TE1 mode, while the ME converts TE0 mode to TE1 mode, enabling separate routing of both modes. Bezier curves are employed to optimize not only the ME, but also the dual-mode 45° and 90° waveguide bends, which facilitate the flexible and compact layout design. Moreover, our structure can support multiple wavelength channels and spacings by adding pairs of MRs, exhibiting strong WDM compatibility. The switch has an ultra-compact footprint of 0.87 × 0.52 mm2. Under both "all-bar" and "all-cross" configurations, its insertion losses (ILs) remain below 8.7 dB at 1,551 nm, with optical signal-to-noise ratios (OSNRs) exceeding 13.0 dB. The frequency of natural disasters has increased recently, posing a huge threat to human society. Rapid, accurate, authentic, and comprehensive acquisition and transmission of disaster information are crucial in emergency response. In this paper, we propose a design scheme for an aerial remote sensing platform based on real-time satellite communication. This platform mainly includes a civilian heavy-duty unmanned aerial vehicle, ground observation system with the self-developed orthographic image stabilization device, wireless communication system with an airborne mobile communication device using Ku band, ground satellite information receiving station, and data processing and application analysis system. The image stabilization capability of the ground observation system and the communication capability of the wireless communication system were verified through ground and flight tests respectively. The results showed that the stability accuracy of the platform was better than the theoretical threshold, the system transmission rate was not less than 2 M bandwidth, the data packet loss rate was low, and the time delay was not more than 2 s. The images captured in the experiment were clear, with a resolution of less than 1cm and an overlap rate of more than 70%. These all results meet the emergency observation requirement, which indicates that the aerial remote sensing platform based on real-time satellite communication has great potential for application in natural disaster emergency response. In the framework of the space-air-ground-ocean integrated network, the underwater acoustic sensor network (UASN) plays a pivotal role. The design of media access control (MAC) protocols is essential for the UASN to ensure efficient and reliable data transmission. From the perspective of differentiated services in the UASN, a service-aware and scheduling-based hybrid MAC protocol, named the SSH-MAC protocol, is proposed in this paper. In the SSH-MAC protocol, the centralized scheduling strategy is adopted by sensor nodes with environmental monitoring service, and the distributed scheduling strategy is adopted by sensor nodes with target detection service. Considering the time-varying data generation rate of sensor nodes, the sink node will switch the scheduling mode of sensor nodes based on the specific control packet and adjust the resource allocation ratio between centralized scheduling and distributed scheduling. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to enhance spectral efficiency in communication systems by dynamically adjusting the mapping between cyclic permutation coding (CPC) and its injected form. By monitoring channel conditions such as interference levels and impulsive noise strength, the system optimises the coding scheme to maximise data transmission reliability and efficiency. The CPC method employed in this work maps information bits onto non-binary symbols in a cyclic manner, aiming to improve the Hamming distance between mapped symbols. To address challenges such as low data rates inherent in permutation coding, injection techniques are introduced by removing δ column(s) from the CPC codebook. Comparative analyses demonstrate that the proposed dynamic adaptation scheme outperforms conventional permutation coding and injection schemes. As a hot technology trend, the federated learning (FL) cleverly combines data utilization and privacy protection by processing data locally on the client and only sharing model parameters with the server, embodying an efficient and secure collaborative learning model between clients and aggregated Servers. During the process of uploading parameters in FL models, there is susceptibility to unauthorized access threats, which can result in training data leakage. To ensure data security during transmission, the Authentication and Key Agreement (AKA) protocols are proposed to authenticate legitimate users and safeguard training data. However, existing AKA protocols for client–server (C/S) architecture show security deficiencies, such as lack of user anonymity and susceptibility to password guessing attacks. In this paper, we propose a robust 2FAKA-C/S protocol based on ECC and Hash-chain technology. Our security analysis shows that the proposed protocol ensures the session keys are semantically secure and can effectively resist various attacks. The performance analysis indicates that the proposed protocol achieves a total running time of 62.644 ms and requires only 800 bits of communication overhead, showing superior computational efficiency and lower communication costs compared to existing protocols. With the vigorous development of cloud computing, most organizations have shifted their data and applications to the cloud environment for storage, computation, and sharing purposes. During storage and data sharing across the participating entities, a malicious agent may gain access to outsourced data from the cloud environment. A malicious agent is an entity that deliberately breaches the data. This information accessed might be misused or revealed to unauthorized parties. Therefore, data protection and prediction of malicious agents have become a demanding task that needs to be addressed appropriately. To deal with this crucial and challenging issue, this paper presents a Malicious Agent Identification-based Data Security (MAIDS) Model which utilizes XGBoost machine learning classification algorithm for securing data allocation and communication among different participating entities in the cloud system. The proposed model explores and computes intended multiple security parameters associated with online data communication or transactions. Correspondingly, a security-focused knowledge database is produced for developing the XGBoost Classifier-based Malicious Agent Prediction (XC-MAP) unit. Unlike the existing approaches, which only identify malicious agents after data leaks, MAIDS proactively identifies malicious agents by examining their eligibility for respective data access. In this way, the model provides a comprehensive solution to safeguard crucial data from both intentional and non-intentional breaches, by granting data to authorized agents only by evaluating the agent's behavior and predicting the malicious agent before granting data. The performance of the proposed model is thoroughly evaluated by accomplishing extensive experiments, and the results signify that the MAIDS model predicts the malicious agents with high accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-scores up to 95.55%, 95.30%, 95.50%, and 95.20%, respectively. This enormously enhances the system's security in terms of authorized data access accuracy up to 55.49%, precision up to 43.15%, recall up to 55.49%, and F1-score up to 39.96%, respectively, as compared to state-of-the-art work. This paper studies the problem of joint deployment, user association, channel, and resource allocation in unmanned aerial vehicle‐enabled access network. Since different user equipments performing different tasks and have different data rate requirements, the priority‐based traffic fairness problem is investigated. This problem, however, is a mixed integer nonlinear programming problem with NP‐hard complexity, making it challenging to be solved. To address this issue, a self‐organized and distributed framework "sense‐as‐you‐fly" based on the decomposition process, which divides the original problem into several subproblems, is proposed. Assuming without central controller, we derive the closed‐form resource allocation scheme and propose distributed many‐to‐one matching to optimize user association subproblem. Considering the coupled characteristics, the multi‐unmanned aerial vehicle deployment and channel allocation subproblems are modelled as a local altruistic game. The existence of Nash equilibrium is proved with the aid of exact potential game and efficient best response learning‐based algorithm is proposed. The original problem is finally addressed by solving the sub‐problems alternately and iteratively. Simulation results verify its effectiveness. This paper presents a novel approach to optical communication systems by introducing a hybrid MGDM–FSO (Mode Group Diversity Multiplexing—Free Space Optical) system. The primary objective of this innovative system is to address the limitations of traditional communication systems, particularly in challenging environmental conditions. By combining the advantages of MGDM, which enhances transmission capacity in optical fibers, with the flexibility and high data rates offered by FSO technology, the hybrid MGDM–FSO system aims to overcome obstacles encountered during data transmission. In this study, we provide a detailed analysis of the proposed system's architecture and performance characteristics under various operating conditions. Specifically, we investigate both single-input single-output (SISO) and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) configurations of the MGDM–FSO system. Performance metrics such as received power levels, bit error rate (BER), and quality factor (Q-factor) are evaluated to assess the system's efficiency across different weather conditions. Numerical simulations are conducted to analyze the system's performance under a range of scenarios. Our findings indicate that under clear weather conditions, both SISO and MIMO configurations exhibit optimal performance, characterized by high Q-factor and low BER. However, as weather conditions deteriorate to heavy rain and heavy fog, the Q-factor of the received signal decreases, highlighting the impact of environmental factors on system performance. This study contributes valuable insights into the behavior of hybrid MGDM–FSO systems and emphasizes the importance of robust communication techniques to mitigate environmental challenges. One of the networking technologies is called a wireless sensor network, and what it does is link sensor nodes by using wireless communication as the channel of connection. The seamless integration of intelligent Internet of Things devices with conventional wireless sensor networks has revolutionized data communication for different applications, such as remote health monitoring, industrial monitoring, transportation, and smart agriculture. Efficient and reliable data routing is one of the major challenges in the Internet of Things network due to the heterogeneity of nodes. This paper presents a traffic-aware, cluster-based, and energy-efficient routing protocol that employs traffic-aware and cluster-based techniques to improve the data delivery in such networks. The proposed protocol divides the network into clusters where optimal cluster heads are selected among super and normal nodes based on their residual energies. The protocol considers multi-criteria attributes, i.e. energy, traffic load, and distance parameters to select the next hop for data delivery towards the base station. The performance of the proposed protocol is evaluated through the network simulator NS3.40. For different traffic rates, number of nodes, and different packet sizes, the proposed protocol outperformed LoRaWAN in terms of end-to-end packet delivery ratio, energy consumption, end-to-end delay, and network lifetime. For 100 nodes, the proposed protocol achieved a 13% improvement in packet delivery ratio, 10 ms improvement in delay, and 10 mJ improvement in average energy consumption over LoRaWAN. Edge computing enables prompt responses in IoT environments, such as the operation of autonomous vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles. However, with the increase in sensor nodes, the computational burden on the computing node also increases. Specifically, data filtering and reduction at application nodes add to the energy burden for battery-operated devices. In this paper, we propose a preprocessing system at the application node that requires low power consumption for data transmission reduction. Based on our simulations, we identify the minimum data size needed to preserve the signal. We first design the preprocessing system using a hardware description language to evaluate its performance. Then, we implement the open-library-based MCU system, including the proposed preprocessing IP, to assess its operation and overhead. Our implementation of the preprocessing system reduces data transmission by 50% with acceptable information loss. Additionally, the area and power consumption after the logic synthesis of the preprocessing IP within the entire MCU system are evaluated at only 3.6% and 13.1%, respectively. The agriculture Internet of Things (IoT) has been widely applied in assisting pear farmers with pest and disease prediction, as well as precise crop management, by providing real-time monitoring and alerting capabilities. To enhance the effectiveness of agriculture IoT monitoring applications, clustering protocols are utilized in the data transmission of agricultural wireless sensor networks (AWSNs). However, the selection of cluster heads is a NP-hard problem, which cannot be solved effectively by conventional algorithms. Based on this, This paper proposes a novel AWSNs clustering model that comprehensively considers multiple factors, including node energy, node degree, average distance and delay. Furthermore, a novel high-performance cluster protocol based on Gaussian mutation and sine cosine firefly algorithm (GSHFA-HCP) is proposed to meet the practical requirements of different scenarios. The innovative Gaussian mutation strategy and sine–cosine hybrid strategy are introduced to optimize the clustering scheme effectively. Additionally, an efficient inter-cluster data transmission mechanism is designed based on distance between nodes, residual energy, and load. The experimental results show that compared with other four popular schemes, the proposed GSHFA-HCP protocol has significant performance improvement in reducing network energy consumption, extending network life and reducing transmission delay. In comparison with other protocols, GSHFA-HCP achieves optimization rates of 63.69%, 17.2%, 19.56%, and 35.78% for network lifespan, throughput, transmission delay, and packet loss rate, respectively. This paper proposes a novel cache replacement technique based on the notion of combining periodic popularity prediction with size caching. The popularity, size, and time updates characteristics are used to calculate the value of each cache item. When it comes to content replacement, the information with the least value is first eliminated. Simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the current algorithms in terms of cache hit rate and delay. The hit rate of the proposed scheme is 15.3% higher than GDS, 17.3% higher than MPC, 20.1% higher than LRU, 22.3% higher than FIFO, and 24.8% higher than LFU when 350 different categories of information are present. Fault recorded data has been proven to be effective for fault diagnosis of overhead transmission lines. Utilizing deep learning to mine potential fault patterns in fault recording data is an inevitable trend. However, it is usually difficult to obtain massive labeled fault recording data, which results in deep learning‐based fault diagnosis models not being adequately trained. Although data augmentation methods provide ideas for expanding the training data, existing data augmentation algorithms (e.g. random perturbation‐based augmentation) may lead to distortion of multi‐view data, that is, time domain data and frequency domain data of the fault recorded data, which results in the inconsistency of physical properties and statistical distributions of the generated data and the actual recording data, and misguides the training of the models. Hence, this study proposes a transmission line fault classification method via the multi‐view synergistic enhancement of fault recording data. The methodology proposes to start with a synergistic enhancement of multi‐view data such as time and frequency domains of fault recording data, and utilizes contrastive learning to further improve the performance of the fault classification model while ensuring that the generated data is not distorted. Enhancing spectral efficiency in non-line-of-sight (NLoS) environments is essential as 5G networks evolve, surpassing 4G systems with high information rates and minimal interference. Specifically, it encompasses an analysis of cooperative relaying strategies for their potential to improve reliability and spectral efficiency in NLoS environments through user cooperation. It also examines various MIMO configurations to address NLoS challenges via spatial diversity. Additionally, it investigates IRS settings, which can alter signal paths to enhance coverage and reduce interference and analyze the role of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in establishing flexible communication infrastructure in difficult environments. This paper also surveys effective energy harvesting (EH) strategies that can be integrated with NOMA for efficient and reliable energy-communication networks. The optimal design of Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antennas is significant for next-generation smartphone solutions with the appearance of further communication. This paper describes the design, simulation, and measurements of a ten-element MIMO antenna for n79 at 4.4–5.0 GHz, n102 at 5.925–6.425 GHz, and n104 at 6.425–7.125 GHz ranges that will be implemented in today's smartphones. The proposed antenna system has a maximum dimension of 158 mm × 60 mm and will use the low-cost FR-4 as the dielectric material. The design procedure is carried out with a lot of care to ensure that it does not compromise the spatial characteristics and at the same time minimizes the mutual coupling between the nearby antenna dimensions. High isolation and low ECC values are simulated using capturing techniques on the antenna geometry and its element position for proper MIMO performance improvement. The constructed antenna system portrays good performances in the intended bands as evidenced by the reflection coefficient values, radiation patterns, and individual gains. The performance of the above proposed ten-element MIMO antenna system in terms of bandwidth efficiency, diversity gain, and channel capacity loss is discussed. As the Internet of Things (IoT) continues to proliferate, the demand for efficient and secure data processing at the network edge has grown exponentially. Fog computing, a paradigm that extends cloud capabilities to the edge of the network, plays a pivotal role in meeting these requirements. In this context, the reliable and trustworthy forwarding of data is of paramount importance. This paper presents an innovative mechanism designed to ensure the trustworthiness of data forwarding in the context of MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport), a widely adopted IoT communication protocol. Our proposed mechanism leverages the inherent advantages of MQTT to establish a robust and secure data-forwarding scheme. It integrates fog computing resources seamlessly into the MQTT ecosystem, enhancing data reliability and security. The mechanism employs trust models to evaluate the credibility of IoT devices and fog nodes involved in data forwarding, enabling informed decisions at each stage of the transmission process. Key components of the mechanism include secure communication protocols, authentication mechanisms, and data integrity verification. The proposed secure communication protocols (TLS/SSL, MQTTS, and PKI) and data integrity verification methods (MAC, digital signatures, checksums, and CRC) provide a robust framework for ensuring secure and trustworthy data transmission in IoT systems. These elements collectively contribute to the establishment of a reliable data forwarding pipeline within MQTT. Additionally, the mechanism prioritizes low-latency communication and efficient resource utilization, aligning with the real-time requirements of IoT applications. Through empirical evaluations and simulations, the research demonstrates the effectiveness of our proposed mechanism in improving the trustworthiness of data forwarding, while minimizing overhead, as the experiment was conducted with 15 fog nodes, and the maximum Level of Trust (LoT) score was 0.968, which is very high, with an estimated accuracy of 97.63%. The results indicate that our approach significantly enhances data security and reliability in MQTT-based IoT environments, thereby facilitating the seamless integration of fog computing resources for edge processing.
