Background: Thyroid disorders(TD) poses a significant health threat to Americans due to its high incidence rate. Obesity, a common factor linked to thyroid disorders, has garnered increasing attention. While Body mass index (BMI) is a widely used obesity index, it fails to account for the distribution of muscle and fat in the body. Recently, tMFR has emerged as a crucial obesity index in clinical research, warranting further investigation into its association with TD. Objective: Exploring the association between tMFR and thyroid disorders. Method: A comprehensive survey and data analysis were conducted using the NHANES database to investigate the relationship between tMFR and the risk of TD. This study utilized multiple logistic regression, smooth curve fitting, and subgroup analysis across four periods from 2011 to 2018. Result: A total of 11,912 subjects were included in the study, showing a prevalence of 7.14% for TD. The research indicated that tMFR had an inverse correlation with the risk of TD in a comprehensive model (OR = 0.90, 95% CI 0.82 to 1.00). When tMFR was divided into quartiles (Q1-Q4), individuals in the highest quartile had a 28% lower risk of TD than those in Q1 (OR = 0.72, 95% CI 0.57 to 0.91). Analysis using smoothed curve fitting demonstrated a nonlinear relationship between tMFR and TD risk, with the inflection point for tMFR saturation effect identified as 1.5. Subgroup analysis further confirmed the strong association between tMFR and TD risk. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis indicated that tMFR exhibited superior predictive ability for TD relative to BMI. The plastic flow behavior of soft rock exhibits non-coaxial features under complex stress paths, while traditional plasticity theories are ill-equipped to adequately represent this, which leads to the mechanism of soft rock failure still unclear. To investigate the evolution law of strain increments and non-coaxial characteristics of weakly cemented soft rock, the directional shear tests are conducted using the hollow cylinder apparatus (HCA). The results show that non-coaxiality does not occur when α is distinct from 0° or 90°. The oscillation of the non-coaxial angle is significantly more variable in soft rock experiencing combined tension–torsion (45° < α < 90°), as opposed to those under the influence of combined compression-torsion (0° < α < 45°). The non-coaxiality swiftly dissipates when the sample is approaching the failure state. The stress rate is decomposed into stress magnitude and direction to describe non-coaxial features of plastic strain. And a new method for non-coaxial stress rate is proposed which can express the plastic strain increment directions. The spherical interpolation coefficient method is utilized to describe the continuous change in non-coaxial plastic flow direction between tangential and normal directions of the yield surface. The non-coaxial parameter (Δ) is introduced to quantify the non-coaxial characteristics of soft rock and its validity is confirmed through test results. The flow behavior and drawability of commercial press hardening steel Usibor®2000 were investigated at different forming temperatures using tensile test and Swift test in this study. The drawing performance of the alloy in room temperature forming, warm forming and hot forming processes was compared, and a comprehensive analysis of the microstructure and crystallographic texture characteristics was conducted. The results show that the press hardening process at 860 ℃ achieves uniform grain refinement and excellent formability in a short time due to the significant softening effect of dynamic recrystallization, with a recrystallized grain fraction reaching 58.7%. The tensile strength decreases significantly at 860 ℃, while the total elongation and limiting drawing ratio increased by 17 and 16.5%, respectively. The alloy exhibits excellent drawability due to the deep drawing in the hot stamping process of strong < 110 > α//RD textures in the transformed and < 111 > γ//RD textures in the untransformed grains. A mixture of martensite (70.22%), ferrite (16.21%) and bainite (13.57%) was obtained during PH process, realizing the ideal mechanical properties. The ultrafine grain structure was obtained by thermoforming process while maintaining the good formability of ultrahigh strength parts. Averaging reflected solar radiation (RSR) over the whole year/hemisphere may mask the inter-month-/region-specific signals, limiting the investigation of spatiotemporal mechanisms and hemispheric symmetry projections. This drives us to explain RSR characteristics from latitude- and month-based perspectives. The study also explores whether longer-record radiation datasets can exhibit hemispheric symmetry of RSR to understand its temporal changes. Statistics indicate that the largest trends in decreasing RSR in the Northern and Southern hemispheres (NH and SH) occur in mid-spring and are dominated by clear-sky atmospheric and cloud components and cloud components only, respectively. The interannual negative trend in the NH RSR mainly derives from 30–50° N latitude zones, attributed to the decrease in the clear-sky atmospheric component caused by reduced anthropogenic sulfate emissions and spring/summer dust frequencies and reduced cloud fraction caused by increased sea surface temperature and an unstable marine boundary layer, thus leading to a reduced cloud component. In the SH, the significant RSR decreasing trend is widespread in 0–50° S latitude zones, which is closely related to the decrease in the cloud component caused by the decrease in cloud cover over the tropical western Pacific and Southern Ocean, partially compensated by the increase in the clear-sky atmospheric component. A new data evaluation system and an uncertainty analysis reveal that only the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) outperforms in exhibiting the Cloud and Earth Radiant Energy System (CERES) hemispheric RSR differences due to offsetting biases among different components and achieves hemispheric RSR symmetry criteria within its uncertainty, making it suitable for studying long-term RSR hemispheric symmetry changes. Furthermore, the International Satellite Cloud Climatology Project (ISCCP) agrees well with CERES regarding hemispheric cloud component asymmetry and can help in the study of the corresponding long-term changes and mechanisms. Addressing the issue of significant speed fluctuations in permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) under load, this paper proposes an active disturbance rejection control strategy based on an improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. Initially, the speed of the PMSM is considered as the comprehensive optimization objective, and an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) model for the PMSM is established by integrating the ADRC with vector control. Subsequently, an adaptive PSO algorithm incorporating genetic algorithms is proposed. This algorithm uses chaotic initialization for uniform particle distribution, introduces adaptive inertia weight and dynamic cognitive factors to enhance search efficiency, and integrates the crossover and mutation modules from genetic algorithms, optimizing mutations using a Gaussian probability function. Simulation results demonstrated that: (1) under identical external load conditions, the proposed ADRC strategy ensured smaller speed fluctuations and a smoother waveform for the PMSM, and (2) compared to the traditional PSO algorithm, the proposed method reduced the speed fluctuation after external load by approximately 26%. This paper presents the design of a 40 × 40 micro-light-emitting (micro-LED) test array based on a 20 mm × 20 mm substrate. A study of the relationship between luminous brightness, driving current, and driving voltage revealed that the data voltages of the red, green, and blue micro-LED array from 0 to 255 grey levels are 0.31 V, 0.29 V, and 0.30 V, respectively, under the condition that the target brightness of the white field is 1000 nits and the color temperature is 9300 K. The brightness range of the red micro-LED array is 64.8–101.2%, the brightness range of the green micro-LED array is 66.5–102.8%, and the brightness range of the blue micro-LED array is 53.5–129.2%. In order to overcome the luminance nonuniformity, a grey level depth of 12 -bit is required. A 10T3C pixel driver circuit based on low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) with a depth of 12 bits greyscale is designed and fabricated into the micro-LED display. A brightness uniformity of 84.1–97.1% can be achieved by brightness correction combined with a 12-bit greyscale depth system for micro-LED display. In this paper, a three-layer structure of silver particle (AgNP)-dielectric-metal is proposed and constructed based on the characteristics of AgNPs that can excite LSPR (Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance) in free space. In order to overcome the problem of AgNPs easily oxidizing in the air, this paper synthesizes AgNPs using the improved Tollens method and effectively suppresses the coffee-ring effect by changing the solution evaporation conditions, so that the distribution of AgNPs in the deposition area is relatively uniform. The structure proposed in this paper takes advantage of the flexibility of nanoparticle application. The AgNPs deposited on the dielectric layer can effectively localize energy and regulate the LSPR of the device well. The formation of soot and NOx in ammonia/ethylene flames with varying ammonia ratios was investigated through experimental and numerical analysis. The spatial distribution of the soot volume fraction and NOx concentrations along the flame central line were measured, and the mechanism of soot and NOx formation during ammonia/ethylene co-combustion was analyzed using CHEMKIN 17.0. The experimental results indicated that the soot volume fraction decreases with an increase in ammonia ratio, with the soot peak concentration occurring in the upper region of the flame. The distribution of NOx is complex. In the initial part of the flame, a higher concentration of NOx is generated, and the lower the ammonia ratio, the higher the concentration of NOx. As the combustion process progresses, the concentration of NOx initially decreases and then subsequently increases rapidly, with higher ammonia ratios leading to higher concentrations of NOx. The addition of ammonia results in a decrease in CH3, C2H2, and C3H3, and an increase in CN concentration. This leads to a transformation of carbon atoms within the combustion system, reducing the available carbon for soot formation and suppressing its generation. A higher ammonia ratio increases the likelihood that NH3 will be oxidized to N2, as well as increasing the probability that any generated NO will undergo reduction to N2 through the action of the free radicals NH2 and NH. Assessing the functional traits and ecological stoichiometric characteristics of dominant species across different life forms within plant communities in karst environments and investigating the inherent connection between them can provide insights into how species adjust their functional attributes in response to habitat heterogeneity. This approach offers a more comprehensive understanding of ecosystem processes and functions in contrast to examination of the taxonomic diversity of species. This study examines the relationship between the functional characteristics of dominant species in plant communities of various life forms in karst environments, focusing on deciduous leaf–soil ecological stoichiometry. The investigation relies on community science surveys, as well as the determination and calculation of plant functional traits and ecological stoichiometries, in plant communities of various life forms in Guizhou (a province of China). The findings of our study revealed considerable variability in the functional trait characteristics of dominant species across different plant-community life forms. Specifically, strong positive correlations were observed among plant height (PLH), leaf area (LA), leaf dry matter content (LDMC), and specific leaf area (SLA) in the dominant species. Additionally, our results indicated no significant differences in leaf ecological stoichiometry among different life forms. However, we did observe significant differences and strong positive correlations between soil N:P, withered material C:N, and apomictic C:P. Furthermore, our study found that plant height (PLH), leaf area (LA), and specific leaf area (SLA) were particularly sensitive to the ecological stoichiometry of soil and apomixis. The results of our study suggest that the functional traits of diverse plant-community life forms in karst regions are capable of adapting to environmental changes through various expressions and survival strategies. The development of various plant-community life forms in karst areas is particularly vulnerable to phosphorus limitation, and the potential for litter decomposition and soil nutrient mineralization is comparatively weaker. The functional traits of various plant-community life forms in karst regions exhibit greater sensitivity to both the soil's C:N ratio and the C:N ratio of apomictic material. Simple Summary: Low-pressure systems frequently occur during the summer in coastal areas and can be detrimental to commercial poultry houses. The effects of air temperature and humidity vary across different periods. Throughout the generation of low-pressure systems, landfall, and disappearance, air temperature and humidity changes can interfere with the housing environment. However, farmers often overlook the impact of low-pressure systems on large-scale poultry houses, which may impair the production of laying hens. This study investigated the effects of the different low-pressure systems on the housing environment and egg production in large-scale poultry houses in China. The results indicated that a single low-pressure system reduced the laying performance, whereas a sustained low-pressure system mitigated the impact on egg production. This study aimed to determine the effect of low-pressure systems on the environment and the laying performance of large-scale poultry houses during the summer and to provide a basis for farmers to adjust their environmental control strategies under extreme weather conditions. Low-pressure systems (LPSs) are among the most critical weather systems, producing excessive precipitation that causes air temperatures to drop and rise considerably. Acute temperature changes directly affect poultry feed intake (FI) and laying performance. To explore the effects of LPSs on hens, the parameters of air temperature, relative humidity, egg production, and feed utilization efficiency were evaluated during different LPSs in three houses. Results indicated that about 2.8 ± 0.7 d, 2.4 ± 0.5 d, and 2.4 ± 0.5 d before the LPS landfall in houses 1, 2, and 3, respectively, the indoor air temperature started to decrease, with the average decreases being 1.7 °C ± 0.4 °C, 2.4 °C ± 0.6 °C, and 1.8 °C ± 0.4 °C, respectively. Significant differences were observed between different LPSs for reducing indoor air temperature (p < 0.05) in the three houses. In house 1, the egg production rates (EPRs) were decreased by 6.6% and 1.1% when LPSs 1 and 2 landed. The average egg weight (AEW) and FI during the LPS landfall were significantly higher than those before the LPS landfall (p < 0.01). Under successive LPSs landfall in the three houses, the EPRs initially reduced by 3.9%, 4.0%, and 0.5%, respectively, but the second LPS event increased the EPRs by 1.8%, 5.3%, and 1.0%, respectively. Furthermore, the LPS landfall increased the feed conversion ratio (FCRe) in the three houses, all above 2.00. Lubrication failure accompanying with blackening phenomenon significantly reduces the long-running operational reliability of porous polymide (PPI) lubricated with poly-α-olefin (PAO) oil. Here, the effects of lubrication condition and counter-surface chemistry on the blackening failure of PAO impregnated PPI were studied through the comparison of the tribological tests against GCr15 steel ball and Al2O3 ceramic ball with and without PAO oil lubrication. Black products were found to be formed on the PAO impregnated PPI surface slid against steel ball or Al2O3 ball added with iron nano-particles, but be absent under the conditions without iron or PAO oil. Further analysis indicated that the iron-catalyzed splitting of PAO oil into small molecule alkanes and following the formation of black organic matter should be mainly responsible for the blackening phenomenon. Molecular dynamic (MD) simulations demonstrated that the iron facilitated the separation of hydrogen atom and the following broken of C-C bonds in PAO molecules, final resulting in the splitting of PAO oil. Digital light processing (DLP) provides a promising avenue for constructing ceramic parts with high precision and complex shapes, yet the inherent brittleness and strength‐toughness trade‐off hinder their wide applications. Here, according to DLP 3D printing, the textured alumina ceramic components with horizontally aligned textured microstructure were successfully created by adding anisotropically shaped platelets. As a critical process in the preparation of textured ceramics, the alumina platelets were aligned horizontally during printing by using the special shear fields and forming capabilities of DLP technology. The shrinkage, density, microstructure, mechanical performance, and damage‐tolerance behavior of alumina parts with different platelet concentrations were examined, and the toughening mechanisms were investigated. The strength and toughness of ceramics with 5 vol.% platelet addition are increased by 22% and 43%, respectively, as compared with those without platelets. The improved damage tolerance capabilities were primarily ascribed to the collaborative toughening mechanisms stimulated by the platelet addition, including crack branching, crack deflection, uncracked‐ligament bridging, and platelet pull‐out, which increased the crack tortuosity and consumed more fracture energy. Astragali radix (AR, namded Huangqi in Chinese) is the dried root of Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bge. var. mongholicus (Bge.) Hsiao or Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bge. As a widely used ethnomedicine, the biological activities of AR include immunomodulatory, anti-hyperglycemic, anti-oxidant, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-tumor, cardioprotective, and anti-diabetic effects, with minimum side effects. Currently, it is known that polysaccharides, saponins, and flavonoids are the indispensable components of AR. In this review, we will elaborate the research advancements of AR on ethnobotany, ethnopharmacological practices, phytochemicals, pharmacological activities, clinical uses, quality control, production developments, and toxicology. Chemical mutagenesis-driven forward genetic screens are pivotal in unveiling gene functions, yet identifying causal mutations behind phenotypes remains laborious, hindering their high-throughput application. Here, we reveal a non-uniform mutation rate caused by Ethyl Methane Sulfonate (EMS) mutagenesis in the C. elegans genome, indicating that mutation frequency is influenced by proximate sequence context and chromatin status. Leveraging these factors, we developed a machine learning enhanced pipeline to create a comprehensive EMS mutagenesis probability map for the C. elegans genome. This map operates on the principle that causative mutations are enriched in genetic screens targeting specific phenotypes among random mutations. Applying this map to Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) data of genetic suppressors that rescue a C. elegans ciliary kinesin mutant, we successfully pinpointed causal mutations without generating recombinant inbred lines. This method can be adapted in other species, offering a scalable approach for identifying causal genes and revitalizing the effectiveness of forward genetic screens. A variety of therapeutic possibilities have emerged for skillfully regulating protein function or conformation through intermolecular interaction modulation to rectify abnormal biochemical reactions in diseases. Herein, a devised strategy of enzyme coordinators has been employed to alleviate postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF), which is characterized by the leakage of digestive enzymes including trypsin, chymotrypsin, and lipase. The development of a dextrorotary (D)-peptide supramolecular gel (CP-CNDS) under this notion showcases its propensity for forming gels driven by intermolecular interaction. Upon POPF, CP-CNDS not only captures enzymes from solution into hydrogel, but also effectively entraps them within the internal gel, preventing their exchange with counterparts in the external milieu. As a result, CP-CNDS completely suppresses the activity of digestive enzymes, effectively alleviating POPF. Remarkably, rats with POPF treated with CP-CNDS not only survived but also made a recovery within a mere 3-day period, while mock-treated POPF rats had a survival rate of less than 5 days when experiencing postoperative pancreatic fistula, leak or abscess. Collectively, the reported CP-CNDS provides promising avenues for preventing and treating POPF, while exemplifying precision medicine-guided regulation of protein activity that effectively targets specific pathogenic molecules across multiple diseases. Therapeutic possibilities have emerged for rectifying abnormal biochemical reactions by modulating intermolecular interactions. Aims: Exploring key genes and potential molecular pathways of ferroptosis in immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN). Methods: The IgAN datasets and ferroptosis‐related genes (FRGs) were obtained in the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) and FerrDb database. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified using R software and intersected with FRGs to obtain differentially expressed FRGs (DE‐FRGs). After that, the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis (PEA) and Gene Ontology (GO) functional annotation were performed on DE‐FRGs. In the Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes (STRING) website, we construct a protein–protein interaction (PPI) network. The PPI network was further investigated with screening hub genes with Cytoscape software. The core genes were then subjected to gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA). Finally, the samples were analyzed for immune infiltration in R, and the correlation between hub genes and immune cells was analyzed. Results: A total of 347 DEGs were identified. CD44, CDO1, CYBB, IL1B, RRM2, AKR1C1, activated transcription factor‐3 (ATF3), CDKN1A, GDF15, JUN, MGST1, MIOX, MT1G, NR4A1, PDK4, TNFAIP3, and ZFP36 were determined as DE‐FRGs. JUN, IL1B, and ATF3 were then screened as hub genes. GSEA and immune infiltration analysis revealed that the hub genes were closely associated with immune inflammatory responses such as NOD‐like receptor signaling, IL‐17 signaling, and TNF signaling. Conclusions: Our results show that JUN and ATF3 are possibly critical genes in the process of IgAN ferroptosis and may be related with immune cell infiltration. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In ground-based infrared optical remote sensing systems, the target signal is very weak due to the dynamic strong light background and the movement of dim and small targets. To improve the limit detection capability, background suppression and target enhancement methods are required to be more suitable for this scenario. To solve this problem, we first analyze the image features in the current scene and propose a more complete point target and noise model. Then, we propose a new WY distribution function based on the Fermi–Dirac distribution function and propose an anisotropic filtering method based on this function, which further suppresses the background through the difference results of two steps. Building on the distribution function, we further designed an energy concentration accumulation strategy in nine scaled directions, through which the SNR of the target is effectively improved, and the suppression ability of the background is enhanced. In this dynamic scenario, the method can still detect targets with an average minimum SNR of 0.76. Through quantitative and qualitative experimental analysis, the proposed method has better robustness against extremely weak targets and dynamic backgrounds compared to the same type of algorithms. The regularized lattice Boltzmann method (RLBM) is an improvement of the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM). The advantage of RLBM is improved accuracy without increasing computational overheads. The paper introduces the method of multi-layer grids, the multi-layer grids have different resolutions which can accurately solve problems in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) without destroying the parallelism of RLBM. Simulating fluid flow usually requires a large number of grid simulations. Therefore, it is necessary to design a parallel algorithm for RLBM based on multi-layer grids. In this paper, a load-balancing-based grid dividing algorithm and an MPI-based parallel algorithm for RLBM on multi-layer grids are proposed. The load balancing-based grid dividing algorithm ensures that the workload is evenly distributed across processes, minimizing the discrepancies in computational load. The MPI-based parallel algorithm for RLBM on multi-layer grids ensures accurate and efficient numerical simulation. Numerical simulations have verified that the proposed algorithms exhibit excellent performance in both 2D and 3D experiments, maintaining high stability and accuracy. The multi-layer grids method is significantly better than single-layer grids in terms of CPU runtime and number of grids required. Comparative analysis with the OpenMP multi-threading method on the multi-layer grid RLBM shows that the proposed algorithm in this paper achieves superior speedup and efficiency. Perovskites have been largely implemented into optoelectronics as they provide several advantages such as long carrier diffusion length, high absorption coefficient, high carrier mobility, shallow defect levels and finally, high crystal quality. The brisk technological development of perovskite devices is connected to their relative simplicity, high-efficiency processing and low production cost. Significant improvement has been made in the detection performance and the photodetectors' design, especially operating in the visible (VIS) and near-infrared (NIR) regions. This paper attempts to determine the importance of those devices in the broad group of standard VIS and NIR detectors. The paper evaluates the most important parameters of perovskite detectors, including current responsivity (R), detectivity (D*) and response time (τ), compared to the standard photodiodes (PDs) available on the commercial market. The conclusions presented in this work are based on an analysis of the reported data in the vast pieces of literature. A large discrepancy is observed in the demonstrated R and D*, which may be due to two reasons: immature device technology and erroneous D* estimates. The published performance at room temperature is even higher than that reported for typical detectors. The utmost D* for perovskite detectors is three to four orders of magnitude higher than commercially available VIS PDs. Some papers report a D* close to the physical limit defined by signal fluctuations and background radiation. However, it is likely that this performance is overestimated. Background: Sirolimus is increasingly utilized in treating diseases associated with mTOR pathway overactivation. Despite its potential, the lack of evidence regarding its long-term safety across all age groups, particularly in pediatric patients, has limited its further application. This study aims to assess the long-term safety of sirolimus, with a specific focus on its impact on growth patterns in pediatric patients. Methods: This pooled analysis inlcudes two prospective cohort studies spanning 10 years, including 1,738 participants (aged 5 days to 69 years) diagnosed with tuberous sclerosis and/or lymphangioleiomyomatosis. All participants were mTOR inhibitor-naive and received 1 mg/m²/day of sirolimus, with dose adjustments during a two-week titration period to maintain trough blood concentrations between 5 and 10 ng/ml (maximum dose 2 mg). Indicators of physical growth, hematopoietic, liver, renal function, and blood lipid levels were all primary outcomes and were analyzed. The adverse events and related management were also recorded. Results: Sirolimus administration did not lead to deviations from normal growth ranges, but higher doses exhibited a positive association with Z-scores exceeding 2 SD in height, weight, and BMI. Transient elevations in red blood cell and white blood cell counts, along with hyperlipidemia, were primarily observed within the first year of treatment. Other measured parameters remained largely unchanged, displaying only weak correlations with drug use. Stomatitis is the most common adverse event (920/1738, 52.9%). In adult females, menstrual disorders were observed in 48.5% (112/217). Conclusions: Sirolimus's long-term administration is not associated with adverse effects on children's physical growth pattern, nor significant alterations in hematopoietic, liver, renal function, or lipid levels. Background: Higher education students exhibit heightened sensitivity to environmental changes as they navigate the critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has posed unprecedented challenges to universities worldwide, exemplifying a crisis that profoundly affects the learning outcomes and psychological status of college students. Although it is known that campus lockdown has triggered dramatic changes in lifestyles, learning outcomes, and psychological statuses, in-depth knowledge of the causal relationships among these changes remains largely unclear. Methods: Here, we conducted a cross-sectional survey designed to assess the impact of campus closure during COVID-19 on lifestyle, educational performance, and anxiety levels among college students. We surveyed over 3,500 junior college, undergraduate and graduate participants from 94 colleges/universities across 30 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China.We employed structural equation modeling (SEM) to explore the relationships between changes in lifestyle, educational performance, and levels of anxiety associated with campus open or closure regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Results: Our results discovered that sleep duration, physical activity involvement, and social connections were crucial for sustaining students' learning outcomes and mental health. The shift to online learning and campus lockdown exacerbated stressors, contributing to heightened anxiety (β = 0.066), disrupted sleep patterns, and enhanced physical activity (β = 0.070) and reduced learning effect (β = -0.059). Sleep patterns were disrupted by the campus lockdown, an effect mediated by the degradation of relationships among classmates. Nonetheless, the best-fitting SEM uncovered the intricate relationships among lifestyle changes, learning outcomes, and psychological status in response to sudden environmental changes (Fisher's C = 80.949, P = 0.328). These results highlight the critical role of adaptable, supportive campus policies tailored to meet the diverse needs and interests of students during and beyond crises (Fisher's C = 59.568, P = 0.809). Background: Obesity is characterized by excessive fat accumulation, which is related with abnormal pluripotency of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). Recently, there is growing evidence that the disorder of maternal vitamin D (VD) intake is a well-known risk factor for long-term adverse health outcomes to their offspring. Otherwise, less is known of its repercussion and underlying mechanisms on the different differentiation potential of MSCs. Methods: Four-week-old female C57BL/6J mice were fed with different VD reproductive diets throughout the whole pregnancy and lactation. The characteristics of BMSCs from their seven-day male offspring, VDR knockdown establishment of HuMSCs and HuMSCs under the different VD interventions in vitro were confirmed by flow cytometry, RT-PCR, and immunofluorescence. The roles of VD on their mitochondrial dysfunction and differentiation potential were also investigated. Then their remaining weaned male pups were induced by administrating high-fat-diet (HFD) for 16 weeks and normal fat diet was simultaneously as controls. Their lipid accumulation and adipocytes hypertrophy were determined by histological staining and related gene expressions. Results: Herein, it was proved that imbalance of early-life VD intake could significantly aggravate the occurrence of obesity by inducing the adipogenesis through affecting the VD metabolism and related metabolites (P < 0.05). Moreover, abnormally maternal VD intake might be involved on the disorders of differentiation potential to inhibit the maintenance of MSCs stemness through increasing the productions of ROS, which was accompanied by impairing the expression of related genes on the adipo-osteogenic differentiation (P < 0.05). Moreover, it was along with increasing potential of adipogenic differentiation of MSCs as higher ROS in the state of VD deficiency, while excessive maternal VD status could conversely enhance the osteogenic differentiation with slightly lower ROS (P < 0.05). Furthermore, the underlying mechanisms might be involved on the mitochondria dysfunctional, especially the mitophagy, by activating the LC3b, P62 and etc. using in vivo and in vitro studies (P < 0.05). Conclusion: These findings demonstrated that imbalance of early-life VD intake could target ROS-mediated crosstalk between mitochondrial dysfunction and differentiation potential of MSCs, which was significantly associated with the later obesity. Background: Hereditary spherocytosis (HS, MIM#612641) is one of the most common hereditary hemolytic disorders. This study aimed to confirm a novel variant's pathogenicity and reveal a patient's genetic etiology. Methods: The clinical data of a patient with HS who underwent genetic sequencing at the Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were reviewed retrospectively. In silico prediction and in vitro minigene splicing reporter system were then conducted on the detected variant to analyze its intramolecular impact. A summary of the literature related to HS due to SPTB gene variants was also presented. Results: A novel variant (c.301–2 A > G) in the SPTB gene (NM_001024858.4) was identified in the proband. Using Sanger sequencing, we conclusively confirmed that the inheritance of the variant could not be traced to the biological parents. The in vitro minigene assay revealed three different transcripts derived from the c.301–2 A > G variant: r.301_474del, r.301_306delCCAAAG, and r.301-1_301-57ins. Through a literature review, patients with HS who had been genotypically validated were summarized and the SPTB gene variant profile was mapped. Conclusion: We identified a splicing variant of the SPTB gene, thus confirming its aberrant translation. The novel variant was the probable genetic etiology of the proband with HS. Our findings expanded the variant spectrum of the SPTB gene, thus improving the understanding of the associated hereditary hemolytic disorders from a clinical and molecular perspective and contributing to the foundation of genetic counseling and diagnosis. Background: Streptococcus suis is an important zoonotic pathogen. Biofilm formation largely explains the difficulty in preventing and controlling S. suis. However, little is known about the molecular mechanism of S. suis biofilm formation. Results: In this study, transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses of S. suis in biofilm and planktonic states were performed to identify key genes and metabolites involved in biofilm formation. A total of 789 differential genes and 365 differential metabolites were identified. By integrating transcriptomics and metabolomics, five main metabolic pathways were identified, including amino acid pathway, nucleotide metabolism pathway, carbon metabolism pathway, vitamin and cofactor metabolism pathway, and aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis metabolic pathway. Mucormycosis is an invasive fungal infection that can result in severe lung infections, with pulmonary mucormycosis (PM) being one of the most prevalent manifestations. Prompt diagnosis is crucial for patient survival, as PM often exhibits rapid clinical progression and carries a high fatality rate. Broncho-alveolar lavage fluid or endobronchial biopsy (EBB) has been commonly employed for diagnosing PM, although there is limited mention of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) in the literature. In this report, we present a case of PM in a patient with diabetes. While EBB did not yield evidence of Rhizopus infection, a definitive diagnosis was obtained through EBUS-TBNA. The patient underwent combination therapy, including oral medication, nebulization, and EBUS-guided intrafocal amphotericin B injection, which resulted in significant improvement following the failure of initial therapy with amphotericin B injection cholesterol sulfate complex. Our case highlights the potential of EBUS-TBNA not only for mediastinal lymphadenopathy but also for obtaining extraluminal lesion specimens. Furthermore, for patients with an inadequate response to mono-therapy and no access to surgical therapy, the addition of EBUS-guided intralesional amphotericin B injection to systemic intravenous therapy may yield unexpected effects. The escalating concern over global warming has garnered significant international attention, with carbon emission intensity emerging as a crucial barrier to sustainable economic development across various regions. While previous studies have largely focused on annual scales, this study introduces a novel examination of Tianjin's quarterly carbon emission intensity and its influencing factors from 2012 to 2022 using quarterly data and the Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index (LMDI) model. The analysis considers the carbon emission effects of thermal power generation, the power supply structure, power intensity effects, and economic activity intensity. The results indicate a general decline in Tianjin's carbon emission intensity from 2012 to 2020, followed by an increase in 2021 and 2022. This trend, exhibiting significant seasonal fluctuations, revealed the highest carbon emission intensity in the first quarter (an average of 1.4093) and the lowest in the second quarter (an average of 1.0019). Economic activity intensity emerged as the predominant factor influencing carbon emission intensity changes, particularly notable in the second quarter (an average of −0.0374). Thermal power generation and electricity intensity effects were significant in specific seasons, while the power supply structure's impact remained relatively minor yet stable. These findings provide essential insights for formulating targeted carbon reduction strategies, underscoring the need to optimize energy structures, enhance energy efficiency, and account for the seasonal impacts of economic activity patterns on carbon emissions. The thermal-controlled fracture method has been increasingly focused upon in the high-quality cutting of advanced ceramic materials due to its excellent characteristics. The successful application of this method in cutting ceramics mainly depends on the volumetric heating effect. However, most ceramics are treated using the surface heating mode. For the surface heating mode, the processing quality, including fracture trajectory and fracture quality, is far lower than the industrial application standards. This work was conducted to reveal the mechanism of this processing quality. Experiments involving cutting ceramics in single-surface heating mode indicate that the fracture trajectories of the upper and lower surfaces display a significant inconsistency, and the fracture quality is worse than that using the dual-surface heating mode. A cutting model was established to calculate the thermal stress distribution and to simulate the crack-propagation behaviors. The simulation results show good agreement with the experiment and provide the stress distribution, and are used to understand the reason for the processing quality problem. The mechanism of the trajectory deviation and uneven distribution of the fracture quality is revealed based on the simulation and calculation results. In many domains, trajectory prediction a crucial task. Uncertain information, such as complementary and correlated information between multiple features, complex interactive information, weather and temperature, increases the difficulty of trajectory prediction. In real life scenarios, multi-feature information often interact and complement each other. It is difficult to isolate multi-feature information and consider their effects separately. At present, many trajectory prediction methods based on multi-feature information fusion often ignore the correlation impact information between multiple features. This may lead to insufficient utilization of multi-feature information, which limits the improvement of prediction accuracy. In this paper, a new information fusion method based on uncertain information processing is proposed. To begin with, the local support impact between multi-feature information is modeled by the local support function of power average (P-A) operator. The global support impact between them is modeled by the global support function of P-A. Then, through the local support impact and global support impact, the weight of each feature information is obtained respectively. The nonlinear fusion is performed to make full use of multi-feature information. What is more, in the discriminator, a new fuzzy soft discrimination state is added. The fuzzy soft discrimination state improves the flexibility of the discriminator. At last, based on the soft discrimination, a new loss function is proposed by combining the belief entropy and cross entropy. The E‐proteinoid 3 receptor (PTGER3), a member of the prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) subtype receptor, belongs to the G‐protein‐coupled superfamily of receptors. Animal studies have demonstrated its involvement in salt sensitivity by regulating sodium reabsorption. This study aimed to investigate the association between genetic variants of PTGER3 and salt sensitivity, longitudinal blood pressure (BP) changes, and the incidence of hypertension in Chinese adults. A chronic salt intake intervention was conducted involving 514 adults from 124 families in the 2004 Baoji Salt‐Sensitivity Study Cohort in northern China. These participants followed a 3‐day regular baseline diet, followed by a 7‐day low‐salt diet (3.0 g/d) and a 7‐day high‐salt diet (18 g/d), and were subsequently followed for 14 years. The findings revealed a significant relationship between the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs17482751 of PTGER3 and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) response to high salt intervention. Additionally, SNPs rs11209733, rs3765894, and rs2268062 were significantly associated with longitudinal changes in systolic blood pressure (SBP), DBP, and mean arterial pressure (MAP) during the 14‐year follow‐up period. SNP rs6424414 was significantly associated with longitudinal changes in DBP over 14 years. Finally, SNP rs17482751 showed a significant correlation with the incidence of hypertension over 14 years. These results emphasize the significant role of PTGER3 gene polymorphism in salt sensitivity, longitudinal BP changes, and the development of hypertension in the Chinese population. Paddy field leveling is an essential step before rice transplanting. During the operation of a paddy field grader, a common issue is the wrapping of rice straw around the blades, resulting in a low rice straw burial rate. This study focused on analyzing the operating parameters of a disc spring–tooth-combined paddy field grader. A soil–straw mechanism simulation model was created using EDEM 2021 software to simulate the field operation status. Firstly, the single-factor test was carried out, with the working speed, the working depth of the disc cutter roller, and the rotation speed of the cutter roller as the factors and the straw-buried rate (SBR) and the machine forward resistance (MFR) as the test indexes, and the parameter range was optimized. The parameters were optimized by the response surface method (RSM) and machine learning algorithms. The results indicated that the genetic algorithm–back propagation (GA-BP) neural network outperformed other optimization models in terms of prediction accuracy and stability. By utilizing the GA-BP regression model and RSM model for regression fitting, two sets of optimal parameter combinations were obtained. Verification experiments were carried out using two sets of parameter combinations. Taking the average of the experimental results, the simulation results showed that the straw burial rate was 93.47% and the forward resistance was 6487 N for the parameter combinations of RSM, and the straw burial rate was 94.86% and the forward resistance was 6352 N for the parameter combinations of GA-BP; the field experiments showed that the straw burial rate was 92.86% and the forward resistance was 6518 N for the parameter combinations of RSM, and the straw burial rate was 95.17% and the forward resistance was 6249 N for the parameter combinations of GA-BP. The results demonstrated that the GA-BP prediction model exhibited better predictive capabilities compared to the traditional RSM, providing more accurate predictions of the paddy field grader's field operation performance. In the complex and harsh environment of agriculture, rolling bearings, as the key transmission components in agricultural machinery, are very prone to failure, so research on the intelligent fault diagnosis of agricultural machinery components is critical. Therefore, this paper proposes a new method based on SVD-EDS-GST and ResNet-Vision Transformer (ResViT) for the fault diagnosis of rolling bearings in agricultural machines. Firstly, an experimental platform for rolling bearing failure in agricultural machinery is built, and one-dimensional vibration signals are obtained using acceleration sensors. Next, the signal is preprocessed for noise reduction using singular value decomposition (SVD) combined with the energy difference spectrum (EDS) to solve for the interference of complex noise and redundant components in the vibration signal. Secondly, generalized S-transform (GST) is used to process vibration signals into images. Then, the ResViT model is proposed, where the ResNet34 network is used to replace the image chunking mechanism in the original Vision Transformer model for feature extraction. Finally, an improved Vision Transformer (ViT) is utilized to synthesize global and local information for fault classification. The experimental results show that the proposed method's average accuracy in rolling bearing fault classification for agricultural machinery reaches 99.08%. In addition, compared with SVD-EDS-GST-CNN, SVD-EDS-GST-LSTM, STFT-ViT, GST-ViT, and SVD-EDS-GST-ViT, the accuracy rate was improved by 3.5%, 3.84%, 4.8%, 8.02%, and 0.56%, and the standard deviation was also minimized. This study proposes a model for the quantitative evaluation of the life-cycle carbon footprints of large sporting events and the uncertainties related to them. The model was used to analyze the case of a mega sporting event in Beijing, China. First, the quantitative model for the evaluation of the carbon footprints of mega sporting events includes a preparation stage, a holding stage, and an end stage. These stages consider the energy and resources used for construction, operation, transportation, catering, and accommodation. Second, this study proposes a prediction model using model-based and simulation-based methods to address the difficulty of obtaining traffic activity. Third, a semi-quantitative method that combines a data quality indicator and stochastic simulation is adopted for the uncertainty analysis of mega sporting events. Finally, a case study is used to indicate that the preparation stage of a mega sporting event accounts for the highest CO2 emissions at 92.1%, followed by 7.5% in the holding stage and 0.4% in the end stage. The total life-cycle CO2 emissions of a sustainable scenario of a mega sporting event in Beijing amount to 205,080.3 t CO2e, and the per capita CO2 emissions during the event's holding stage amount to 0.26 t CO2e/person. Fusarium graminearum, a devastating fungal pathogen, causes great economic losses to crop yields worldwide. The present study investigated the potential of Streptomyces pratensis S10 to alleviate F. graminearum stress in wheat seedlings based on plant growth-promoting and resistance-inducing assays. The bioassays revealed that S10 exhibited multiple plant growth-promoting properties, including the production of siderophores, 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid deaminase (ACC), and indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), phosphate solubilization, and nitrogen fixation. Meanwhile, the pot experiment demonstrated that S10 improved wheat plant development, substantially enhancing wheat height, weight, root activity, and chlorophyll content. Consistently, genome mining identified abundant genes associated with plant growth promotion. S10 induced resistance against F. graminearum in wheat seedlings. The disease incidence and disease index reduced by nearly 52% and 65% in S10 pretreated wheat seedlings, respectively, compared with those infected with F. graminearum only in the non-contact inoculation assay. Moreover, S10 enhanced callose deposition and reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation and induced the activities of CAT, SOD, POD, PAL, and PPO. Furthermore, the quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) results indicated that S10 pretreatment increased the expression of SA- (PR1.1, PR2, PR5, and PAL1) and JA/ET-related genes (PR3, PR4a, PR9, and PDF1.2) in wheat seedlings upon F. graminearum infection. Risk management in electronic component selection is crucial for ensuring inherent system quality dependability in aerospace equipment research and development (R&D). Therefore, it is of great significance to conduct rapid and accurate risk assessment research of electronic components based on engineering practice. This article utilizes the extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) algorithm and domain knowledge to assess electronic component selection risk. Firstly, an innovative risk assessment system is established for electronic component selection based on business materials analysis and investigation by questionnaire. Then, the values of factors in the system are quantified based on domain knowledge and empirical formulae. Finally, an XGBoost-based risk assessment model is constructed that can explore learning strategies and develop latent features by integrating multiple decision trees. The model is compared against the random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM) and decision tree (DT) algorithms. Accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score are used as evaluation indexes. This study advances our understanding of the Jiangnan Orogenic Belt by integrating high-precision geochronological data with interpretations of sedimentary and tectonic environments. Specifically, it addresses the controversy over the geological significance, origins, and tectonic significance of the Shengong Unconfomity: at the base of the Luojiamen Formation. This paper shows that the formation developed over four stages with the primary source of detritus lying in a volcanic arc to the south. The study also reassesses the "unconformity" between the Luojiamen Formation of the Heshangzhen Group and the Zhangcun Formation of the Shuangxiwu Group, concluding that it does not demarcate the end of the orogenic collision between the Cathaysia and Yangtze blocks. Sulfide solid‐state electrolytes (SSEs) with superior ionic conductivity and processability are highly promising candidates for constructing all‐solid‐state lithium metal batteries (ASSLMBs). However, their practical applications are limited by their intrinsic air instability and serious interfacial incompatibility. Herein, a novel glass‐ceramic electrolyte Li3.12P0.94Bi0.06S3.91I0.18 was synthesized by co‐doping Li3PS4 with Bi and I for high‐performance ASSLMBs. Owing to the strong Bi‒S bonds that are thermodynamically stable to water, increased unit cell volume and Li+ concentration caused by P5+ substitution with Bi3+, and the in situ formed robust solid electrolyte interphase layer LiI at lithium surface, the as‐prepared Li3.12P0.94Bi0.06S3.91I0.18 SSE achieved excellent air stability with a H2S concentration of only 0.205 cm3 g−1 (after 300 min of air exposure), outperforming Li3PS4 (0.632 cm3 g−1) and the most reported sulfide SSEs, together with high ionic conductivity of 4.05 mS cm−1. Furthermore, the Li3.12P0.94Bi0.06S3.91I0.18 effectively improved lithium metal stability. With this SSE, an ultralong cyclability of 700 h at 0.1 mA cm−2 was realized in a lithium symmetrical cell. Moreover, the Li3.12P0.94Bi0.06S3.91I0.18‐based ASSLMBs with LiNi0.8Mn0.1Co0.1O2 cathode achieved ultrastable capacity retention rate of 95.8% after 300 cycles at 0.1 C. This paper studies the design problem of fault detection (FD) observer for unmanned marine vehicles (UMVs) based on the T-S fuzzy model. Firstly, T-S fuzzy systems are used to approximate the nonlinear dynamics in UMVs. Secondly, to improve the FD performance of UMVs, a new H ∞ / H _ performance index, which depends on the membership functions, is defined. Then, based on the membership-function-dependent H ∞ / H _ performance index, a new fuzzy FD observer strategy, where the fuzzy submodels are not all required to be with the same H _ performance index, is developed to detect the sensor fault in UMVs; the corresponding synthesis conditions of the FD observer are derived based on the Lyapunov theory. Different from the conventional FD strategies, in the proposed membership-function-dependent FD method, the fuzzy submodels—which the system always works on—can have a larger H _ performance index, such that the performance of the FD can be improved. Sex chromosomes display remarkable diversity and variability among vertebrates. Compared with research on the X/Y and Z/W chromosomes, which have long evolutionary histories in mammals and birds, studies on the sex chromosomes at early evolutionary stages are limited. Here, we precisely assembled the genomes of homozygous XX female and YY male Lanzhou catfish (Silurus lanzhouensis) derived from an artificial gynogenetic family and a self-fertilized family, respectively. Chromosome 24 (Chr24) was identified as the sex chromosome based on resequencing data. Comparative analysis of the X and Y chromosomes showed an approximate 320 kb Y-specific region with a Y-specific duplicate of anti-Mullerian hormone type II receptor (amhr2y), which is consistent with findings in 2 other Silurus species but on different chromosomes (Chr24 of Silurus meridionalis and Chr5 of Silurus asotus). Deficiency of amhr2y resulted in male-to-female sex reversal, indicating that amhr2y plays a male-determining role in S. lanzhouensis. Phylogenetic analysis and comparative genomics revealed that the common sex-determining gene amhr2y was initially translocated to Chr24 of the Silurus ancestor along with the expansion of transposable elements. Chr24 was maintained as the sex chromosome in S. meridionalis and S. lanzhouensis , whereas a sex-determining region transition triggered sex chromosome turnover from Chr24 to Chr5 in S. asotus. Additionally, gene duplication, translocation, and degeneration were observed in the Y-specific regions of Silurus species. These findings present a clear case for the early evolutionary trajectory of sex chromosomes, including sex-determining gene origin, repeat sequence expansion, gene gathering and degeneration in sex-determining region, and sex chromosome turnover. Visual simultaneous localization and mapping (VSLAM) is pivotal for intelligent mobile robots. VSLAM systems can be used to identify scenes by obtaining massive amounts of redundant texture information from the environment. However, VSLAM faces a major challenge in dynamic low-light environments, in which the extraction of feature points is often difficult, leading to tracking failure with mobile robots. Therefore, we developed a method to improve the feature point extraction method used for VSLAM. We first used the contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization (CLAHE) method to increase the contrast in low-light images, allowing for the extraction of more feature points. Second, in order to increase the effectiveness of the extracted feature points, the redundant feature points were removed. We developed three conditions to filter the feature points. Finally, the proposed method was tested on popular datasets (e.g., TUM and OpenLORIS-Scene), and the results were compared with those of several traditional methods. Background and purpose: This study aimed to compare the dosimetric attributes of two multi‐leaf collimator based techniques, HyperArc and Incise CyberKnife, in the treatment of brain metastases. Material and methods: 17 cases of brain metastases were selected including 6 patients of single lesion and 11 patients of multiple lesions. Treatment plans of HyperArc and CyberKnife were designed in Eclipse 15.5 and Precision 1.0, respectively, and transferred to Velocity 3.2 for comparison. Results: HyperArc plans provided superior Conformity Index (0.91 ± 0.06 vs. 0.77 ± 0.07, p < 0.01) with reduced dose distribution in organs at risk (Dmax, p < 0.05) and lower normal tissue exposure (V4Gy–V20Gy, p < 0.05) in contrast to CyberKnife plans, although the Gradient Indexes were similar. CyberKnife plans showed higher Homogeneity Index (1.54 ± 0.17 vs. 1.39 ± 0.09, p < 0.05) and increased D2% and D50% in the target (p < 0.05). Additionally, HyperArc plans had significantly fewer Monitor Units (MUs) and beam‐on time (p < 0.01). Conclusion: HyperArc plans demonstrated superior performance compared with MLC‐based CyberKnife plans in terms of conformity and the sparing of critical organs and normal tissues, although no significant difference in GI outcomes was noted. Conversely, CyberKnife plans achieved a higher target dose and HI. The study suggests that HyperArc is more efficient and particularly suitable for treating larger lesions in brain metastases. Background: The leading cause of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) is diabetic nephropathy (DN). Podocyte damage is an early event in the development of DN. Currently, there is no effective treatment strategy that can slow the progression of DN or reverse its onset. The role of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) transplantation in diabetes and its complications has been extensively studied, and diabetic nephropathy has been a major focus. Irbesartan exerts reno-protective effects independent of lowering blood pressure, can reduce the incidence of proteinuria in rats, and is widely used clinically. However, it remains undetermined whether the combined utilization of the angiotensin II receptor antagonist irbesartan and MSCs could enhance efficacy in addressing DN. Methods: A commonly used method for modeling type 2 diabetic nephropathy (T2DN) was established using a high-fat diet and a single low-dose injection of STZ (35 mg/kg). The animals were divided into the following 5 groups: (1) the control group (CON), (2) the diabetic nephropathy group (DN), (3) the mesenchymal stem cells treatment group (MSCs), (4) the irbesartan treatment group (Irb), and (5) the combined administration group (MSC + Irb). MSCs (2 × 106 cells/rat) were injected every 10 days through the tail vein for a total of three injections; irbesartan (30 mg/kg/d) was administered by gavage. Additionally, the safety and homing of mesenchymal stem cells were verified using positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. Results: The combination treatment significantly reduced the UACR, kidney index, IGPTT, HOMA-IR, BUN, serum creatine, and related inflammatory factor levels and significantly improved renal function parameters and the expression of proteins related to glomerular podocyte injury in rats. Moreover, MSCs can homing target to damaged kidneys. Conclusions: Compared to the administration of MSCs or irbesartan alone, the combination of MSCs and irbesartan exerted better protective effects on glomerular podocyte injury, providing new ideas for the clinical application of mesenchymal stem cells. Tetrahydro-β-carboline skeletons are prominent and ubiquitous in an extraordinary range of indole alkaloid natural products and pharmaceutical compounds. Powerful synthetic approaches for stereoselective synthesis of tetrahydro-β-carboline skeletons have immense impacts and have attracted enormous attention. Here, we outline a general chiral phosphoric acid catalyzed asymmetric 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of 3,4-dihydro-β-carboline-2-oxide type nitrone that enables access to three types of chiral tetrahydro-β-carbolines bearing continuous multi-chiral centers and quaternary chiral centers. The method displays different endo/exo selectivity from traditional nitrone chemistry. The distinct power of this strategy has been illustrated by application to collective and enantiodivergent total syntheses of 40 tetrahydro-β-carboline-type indole alkaloid natural products with divergent stereochemistry and varied architectures.
