The article outlines several of the U.S. federal regulations affecting priorities, price control and transportation. The War Production Board (WPB) has increase the number of carded cotton fabrics set aside for civilian clothing items and for reserve use. Other measures include the reduction of quotas of available malt to the U.S. brewing industry from March 1 to August 31, 1945, cut in the use of new fiber shipping containers for nonmilitary purposes, and reduction of the amount of pulp for use in the manufacturing of paper bags.
