Sensor-based agriculture monitoring systems have limited outcomes on the detection or counting of vegetables from agriculture fields due to the utilization of either conventional color transformations or machine learning-based methods. To overcome these limitations, this research is aimed at proposing an IoT-based smart agriculture monitoring system with multiple algorithms such as detection, quantification, ripeness checking, and detection of infected vegetables. This paper presents smart agriculture monitoring systems for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The CHT has been applied to detect and quantify vegetables from the agriculture field. Using color thresholding and color segmentation techniques, defected vegetables have also been detected. A machine learning method-convolutional neural network (CNN) has been used for the development and implementation of all algorithms. A comparison between traditional methods and CNN has been simulated in MATLAB to find out the optimal method for its implementation in this agricultural monitoring system. Compared to the traditional methods, the CNN is the optimal method in this research work which performed better over the previously developed algorithms with an accuracy of more than 90%. As an example (case study), a tomato field in Chittagong, Bangladesh, was chosen where a camera-mounted mobile robot captured images from the agriculture field for which the proposed IoT-based smart monitoring system was developed. This system will benefit farmers through the digitally monitored output at an agriculture field in Bangladesh as well as in Malaysia. Since this proposed smart IoT-based system is still driven by bulky, costly, and limited powered sensors, in a future work, for the required power of sensors, this research work is aimed at the design and development of an energy harvester (hybrid) (HEH) based on ultralow power electronics circuits to generate the required power of sensors. Rhetorical sentence classification is an interesting approach for making extractive summaries but this technique still needs to be developed because the performance of automatic rhetorical sentence classification is still poor. Rhetorical sentences are sentences that contain rhetorical words or phrases. Rhetorical sentences not only appear in the contents of a paper but also in the title. In this study, features related to section class and title class that have been proposed in a previous research were further developed. Our method uses different techniques to reach automatic section class extraction for which we introduce new, format-based features. Furthermore, we propose automatic rhetoric phrase extraction from the title. The corpus we used was a collection of technical-experimental scientific papers. Our method uses the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm and the Naïve Bayesian algorithm for classification. The four categories used were: Problem, Method, Data, and Result. It was hypothesized that these features would be able to improve classification accuracy compared to previous methods. The F-measure for these categories reached up to 14%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Understanding the impact of a publication by using bibliometric indices becomes an essential activity not only for universities and research institutes but also for individual academicians. This paper aims to provide a brief review of the current bibliometric tools used by authors and editors and proposes an algorithm to assess the relevance of the most common bibliometric tools to help the researchers select the fittest journal and know the trends of published submissions by using self-evaluation. Methods: We present a narrative review answering at least two related consecutive questions triggered by the topics mentioned above. How prestigious is a journal based on its most recent bibliometrics, so authors may choose it to submit their next manuscript? And, how can they self-evaluate/understand the impact of their whole publishing scientific life? Results: We presented the main relevant definitions of each bibliometrics and grouped them in those oriented to evaluated journals or individuals. Also, we share with our readers our algorithm to assess journals before manuscript submission. Conclusions: Since there is a journal performance market and an article performance market, each one with its patterns, an integrative use of these metrics, rather than just the impact factor alone, might represent the fairest and most legitimate approach to assess the influence and importance of an acceptable research issue, and not only a sound journal in their respective disciplines. Many complex physical systems exhibit a rich variety of discrete behavioural modes. Often, the system complexity limits the applicability of standard modelling tools. Hence, understanding the underlying physics of different behaviours and distinguishing between them is challenging. Although traditional machine learning techniques could predict and classify behaviour well, typically they do not provide any meaningful insight into the underlying physics of the system. In this paper we present a novel method for extracting physically meaningful clusters of discrete behaviour from limited experimental observations. This method obtains a set of physically plausible functions that both facilitate behavioural clustering and aid in system understanding. We demonstrate the approach on the V-shaped falling paper system, a new falling paper type system that exhibits four distinct behavioural modes depending on a few morphological parameters. Using just 49 experimental observations, the method discovered a set of candidate functions that distinguish behaviours with an error of 2.04%, while also aiding insight into the physical phenomena driving each behaviour. The significance of big data are prone to complication in solving optimization issues. In several scenarios, one requires adapting several contradictory goals and satisfies various criterions. This made the research on multi-objective optimization more vital and has become main topic. This paper presents theoretical analysis and comparative study of top ten optimization algorithms with respect to DMS. The performance analysis and study of optimization algorithms in big data streaming are explicated. Here, the top ten algorithms of optimization based on recency and popularity are considered. In addition, the performance analysis based on Efficiency, Reliability, Quality of solution, and superiority of DMS algorithm over other top 10 algorithms are examined. From analysis, the DMS provides better efficiency as it endeavours less computational effort to generate better solution, due to acquisition of both DA and MS algorithm's benefits and DMS takes less time to process a task. Moreover, the DMS needs less number of iterations in the process of optimization and helps to stop optimization process in local optimum. In addition, the DMS has better reliability as it poses the potential to handle specific level of performance. In addition, the DMS utilizes heuristic information for attaining high reliability. Moreover, the DMS produced high computation accuracy, which reveals its solution quality. From the analysis, it is noted that DMS attained improved outcomes in terms of efficiency, reliability and solution quality in contrast to other top 10 optimization algorithms. Keeping up with rapidly growing research fields, especially when there are multiple interdisciplinary sources, requires substantial effort for researchers, program managers, or venture capital investors. Current theories and tools are directed at finding a paper or website, not gaining an understanding of the key papers, authors, controversies, and hypotheses. This report presents an effort to integrate statistics, text analytics, and visualization in a multiple coordinated window environment that supports exploration. Our prototype system, Action Science Explorer ( ASE), provides an environment for demonstrating principles of coordination and conducting iterative usability tests of them with interested and knowledgeable users. We developed an understanding of the value of reference management, statistics, citation text extraction, natural language summarization for single and multiple documents, filters to interactively select key papers, and network visualization to see citation patterns and identify clusters. A full‐panel circuit model of the on‐cell touch AMOLED is introduced to simulate the mutual interference between touch and display operations. The proposed panel model successfully reproduced nonlinear behaviors of the display noise observed in real systems. Also, the reverse‐directional interference, i.e., touch‐to‐display coupling, was simulated, showing that touch stimulation incurs the fluctuation of display charging voltages, possibly causing perceivable line defects. These days, cloud computing usage has been increasing with the rapid growth of Internet coverage all over the world to serve as a pay-per-use model using shared computing resources. Internet of Things (IoT) is a growing technology which is used in different applications and it needs cloud computing however the distance between cloud computing resources and the end system in IoT can cause a delay which is intolerable for delay-sensitive applications. Fog computing is a computing resource between cloud computing and end system to reduce the delay for the delay-sensitive applications in IoT. Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is a rapid and non-destructive detection method for component determination and quantitative analysis with broad applications in numerous fields. In recent years, NIRS has started to be used in the aging condition assessment of power transformers. However, the real applications of NIRS are constrained by the lack of evaluation database and accurate prediction algorithms. In this paper, we aim at comparing different NIRS modeling methods and improving diagnostic accuracy. We build the evaluation database via the preparation of 230 specimens derived from three typical types of insulating paper. Calibration models are established by linear method-partial least squares (PLS) and nonlinear method-back propagation neural network (BPNN) to map the relationship between spectra and the degree of polymerization (DP). The DP prediction results show that using full NIR spectra as the input of the PLS model does not ensure a high prediction accuracy, and it is improved by competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (CARS) that selects the optimal wavelength combinations. Prediction precisions given by BPNN and CARS-BPNN models are shown to be less satisfactory than that of CARS-PLS. We process the original spectra with principal component analysis (PCA) as the input of BPNN and the PCA-BPNN model realizes high prediction precision for three types of paper (RMSE  ⩽  24, r  =  0.99). With the identification of paper type by the k-nearest neighbors (KNN) method before prediction, the KNN-PCA-BPNN model solves the problem of the low prediction precision for mixed (unknown) paper samples (RMSE  =  36, r  =  0.98), which facilitates future field tests as well as related applications in practice. Machine learning, a branch of artificial intelligence, is increasingly used in health research, including nursing and maternal outcomes research. Machine learning algorithms are complex and involve statistics and terminology that are not common in health research. The purpose of this methods paper is to describe three machine learning algorithms in detail and provide an example of their use in maternal outcomes research. The three algorithms, classification and regression trees, least absolute shrinkage and selection operator, and random forest, may be used to understand risk groups, select variables for a model, and rank variables' contribution to an outcome, respectively. While machine learning has plenty to contribute to health research, it also has some drawbacks, and these are discussed as well. To provide an example of the different algorithms' function, they were used on a completed cross‐sectional study examining the association of oxytocin total dose exposure with primary cesarean section. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles are useful tools for many applications. However, autonomous path planning for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in unfamiliar environments is a challenging problem when facing a series of problems such as poor consistency, high influence by the native controller of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. In this paper, we investigate reinforcement learning-based autonomous local path planning methods for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles with high autonomous decision-making capability and locally high portability. We propose an autonomous local path planning algorithm based on the TD3 strategy to solve the problem of local obstacle avoidance and path planning in unfamiliar environments using autonomous decision-making of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. The simulation results on Gazebo show that our method can effectively realize the autonomous local path planning task for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, the success rate of path planning with our method can reach 93% under the interference of no obstacles, and 92% in the environment with obstacles. Sanxingdui cultural relics are the precious cultural heritage of humanity with high values of history, science, culture, art and research. However, mainstream analytical methods are contacting and detrimental, which is unfavorable to the protection of cultural relics. This paper improves the accuracy of the extraction, location, and analysis of artifacts using hyperspectral methods. To improve the accuracy of cultural relic mining, positioning, and analysis, the segmentation algorithm of Sanxingdui cultural relics based on the spatial spectrum integrated network is proposed with the support of hyperspectral techniques. Firstly, region stitching algorithm based on the relative position of hyper spectrally collected data is proposed to improve stitching efficiency. Secondly, given the prominence of traditional HRNet (High-Resolution Net) models in high-resolution data processing, the spatial attention mechanism is put forward to obtain spatial dimension information. Thirdly, in view of the prominence of 3D networks in spectral information acquisition, the pyramid 3D residual network model is proposed to obtain internal spectral dimensional information. Fourthly, four kinds of fusion methods at the level of data and decision are presented to achieve cultural relic labeling. As shown by the experiment results, the proposed network adopts an integrated method of data-level and decision-level, which achieves the optimal average accuracy of identification 0.84, realizes shallow coverage of cultural relics labeling, and effectively supports the mining and protection of cultural relics. Learning programming logic remains an obstacle for students from different academic fields. Considered one of the essential disciplines in the field of Science and Technology, it is vital to investigate the new tools or techniques used in the teaching and learning of Programming Language. This work presents a systematic literature review (SLR) on approaches using Mobile Learning methodology and the process of learning programming in introductory courses, including mobile applications and their evaluation and validation. We consulted three digital libraries, considering articles published from 2011 to 2022 related to Mobile Learning and Programming Learning. As a result, we found twelve mobile tools for learning or teaching programming logic. Most are free and used in universities. In order to improve the performance of UAV’s autonomous maneuvering decision-making, this paper proposes a decision-making method based on situational continuity. The algorithm in this paper designs a situation evaluation function with strong guidance, then trains the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) under the framework of Deep Q Network (DQN) for air combat maneuvering decision-making. Considering the continuity between adjacent situations, the method takes multiple consecutive situations as one input of the neural network. To reflect the difference between adjacent situations, the method takes the difference of situation evaluation value as the reward of reinforcement learning. In different scenarios, the algorithm proposed in this paper is compared with the algorithm based on the Fully Neural Network (FNN) and the algorithm based on statistical principles respectively. The results show that, compared with the FNN algorithm, the algorithm proposed in this paper is more accurate and forwardlooking. Compared with the algorithm based on the statistical principles, the decision-making of the algorithm proposed in this paper is more efficient and its real-time performance is better. We present the results of running 4 different papers through the automated filtering system used by the open access preprint server 'arXiv' to classify papers and implement quality control barriers. The exercise was carried out in order to assess whether these highly sophisticated, state-of-the-art filters can distinguish between papers that are controversial or have gone past their 'sell-by date,' and otherwise normal papers. We conclude that not even the arXiv filters, which are otherwise successful in filtering fringe-topic papers, can fully acquire 'Domain-Specific Discrimination' and thus distinguish technical papers that are taken seriously by an expert community from those that are not. Objective. The percutaneous puncture lung mass biopsy procedure, which relies on preoperative CT (Computed Tomography) images, is considered the gold standard for determining the benign or malignant nature of lung masses. However, the traditional lung puncture procedure has several issues, including long operation times, a high probability of complications, and high exposure to CT radiation for the patient, as it relies heavily on the surgeon's clinical experience. Approach. To address these problems, a multi-constrained objective optimization model based on clinical criteria for the percutaneous puncture lung mass biopsy procedure has been proposed. Additionally, based on fuzzy optimization, a multidimensional spatial Pareto front algorithm has been developed for optimal path selection. The algorithm finds optimal paths, which are displayed on 3D images, and provides reference points for clinicians' surgical path planning. Main results. To evaluate the algorithm's performance, 25 data sets collected from the Second People's Hospital of Zigong were used for prospective and retrospective experiments. The results demonstrate that 92% of the optimal paths generated by the algorithm meet the clinicians' surgical needs. Significance. The algorithm proposed in this paper is innovative in the selection of mass target point, the integration of constraints based on clinical standards, and the utilization of multi-objective optimization algorithm. Comparison experiments have validated the better performance of the proposed algorithm. From a clinical standpoint, the algorithm proposed in this paper has a higher clinical feasibility of the proposed pathway than related studies, which reduces the dependency of the physician's expertise and clinical experience on pathway planning during the percutaneous puncture lung mass biopsy procedure. WiFi-based fingerprint indoor positioning technology has been widely concerned, but it has been facing the challenge of lack of robustness to signal changes, and the positioning service requires fast and accurate positioning estimation. Therefore, an random forest-kernel extreme learning machine (RF-KELM) positioning algorithm with good comprehensive performance is proposed in this paper. Both offline and online phases are included by this algorithm. In the offline phase, the original data of WiFi fingerprint is first transformed into a form more suitable for positioning. Then, access point (AP) selection is performed on the fingerprint database containing many useless APs, in which an RF which can evaluate the importance of features is used. Finally, the KELM is trained with the sub-database that have undergone data transformation and AP selection. In the online phase, firstly, the obtained signal is processed, and then the trained KELM is used to predict the position of the data processed signal. In this paper, the performance of the proposed RF-KELM positioning algorithm is thoroughly tested on a publicly available dataset, and the experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm not only has high positioning accuracy and robustness, but also takes only 0.08 s to position online. To overcome the problem of the high initial position of the point cloud required by the traditional Iterative Closest Point (ICP) algorithm, in this paper, we propose a point cloud registration method based on normal vector and directional histogram features (SHOT). Firstly, a hybrid filtering method based on the voxel idea is proposed and verified using the measured point cloud data, and the noise removal rates of 97.5%, 97.8%, and 93.8% are obtained. Secondly, in terms of feature point extraction, the original algorithm is optimized, and the optimized algorithm can better extract the missing part of the point cloud. Finally, a fine alignment method based on normal vector and directional histogram features (SHOT) is proposed, and the improved algorithm is compared with the existing algorithm. Taking the Stanford University point cloud data and the self-measured point cloud data as examples, the plotted iteration-error plots can be concluded that the improved method can reduce the number of iterations by 40.23% and 37.62%, respectively. With the surge in astronomical data volume, modern astronomical research faces significant challenges in data storage, processing, and access. The I/O bottleneck issue in astronomical data processing is particularly prominent, limiting the efficiency of data processing. To address this issue, this paper proposes a tiered storage algorithm based on the access characteristics of astronomical data. The C4.5 decision tree algorithm is employed as the foundation to implement an astronomical data access correlation algorithm. Additionally, a data copy migration strategy is designed based on tiered storage technology to achieve efficient data access. Preprocessing tests were conducted on 418GB NSRT (Nanshan Radio Telescope) formaldehyde spectral line data, showcasing that tiered storage can potentially reduce data processing time by up to 38.15%. Similarly, utilizing 802.2 GB data from FAST (Five- hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope) observations for pulsar search data processing tests, the tiered storage approach demonstrated a maximum reduction of 29.00% in data processing time. In concurrent testing of data processing workflows, the proposed astronomical data heat correlation algorithm in this paper achieved an average reduction of 17.78% in data processing time compared to centralized storage. Furthermore, in comparison to traditional heat algorithms, it reduced data processing time by 5.15%. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is positively correlated with the associativity between the algorithm and the processed data. The tiered storage algorithm based on the characteristics of astronomical data proposed in this paper is poised to provide algorithmic references for large-scale data processing in the field of astronomy in the future. In industry, the task of defect classification and defect localization is an important part of defect detection system. However, existing studies only focus on one task and it is difficult to ensure the accuracy of both tasks. This paper proposes a defect detection system based on improved Yolo_v4, which greatly improves the detection ability of minor defects. For K_Means algorithm clustering prianchors question with strong subjectivity, the paper proposes the Density Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN) algorithm to determine the number of Anchors. To solve the problem of low detection rate of small targets caused by insufficient reuse rate of low-level features in CSPDarknet53 feature extraction network, this paper proposes an ECA-DenseNet-BC-121 feature extraction network to improve it. And the Dual Channel Feature Enhancement (DCFE) module is proposed to improve the local information loss and gradient propagation obstruction caused by quad chain convolution in PANet networks to improve the robustness of the model. The experimental results on the fabric surface defect detection datasets show that the mAP of the improved Yolo_v4 is 98.97%, which is 7.67% higher than SSD, 3.75% higher than Faster_RCNN, 10.82% higher than Yolo_v4 tiny, and 5.35% higher than Yolo_v4, and the detection speed reaches 39.4 fps. Considering the variations in imaging sizes of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) at different aerial photography heights, as well as the influence of factors such as light and weather, which can result in missed detection and false detection of the model, this paper presents a comprehensive detection model based on the improved lightweight You Only Look Once version 8s (YOLOv8s) algorithm used in natural light and infrared scenes (L_YOLO). The algorithm proposes a special feature pyramid network (SFPN) structure and substitutes most of the neck feature extraction module with the Special deformable convolution feature extraction module (SDCN). Moreover, the model undergoes pruning to eliminate redundant channels. Finally, the non-maximum suppression algorithm of intersection-union ratio based on minimum point distance (MPDIOU_NMS) algorithm has been integrated to eliminate redundant detection boxes, and a comprehensive validation has been conducted using the infrared aerial dataset and the Visdrone2019 dataset. The comprehensive experimental results demonstrate that when the number of parameters and floating-point operations is reduced by 30% and 20%, respectively, there is a 1.2% increase in mean average precision at a threshold of 0.5 (mAP(0.5)) and a 4.8% increase in mAP (0.5:0.95) on the infrared dataset. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are revolutionising diverse computer vision use case domains, from public safety surveillance to Search and Rescue (SAR), and other emergency management and disaster relief operations. The growing need for accurate face verification algorithms has prompted an exploration of synergies between UAVs and face verification. This promises cost-effective, wide-area, non-intrusive person verification. Real-world human-centric use cases such as a ”Drone Guard Angel” for vulnerable people can contribute to public safety management and offload significant police resources. These scenarios demand efficient face verification to distinguish correctly the end users for authentication, authorisation and customised services. This paper investigates the suitability of existing solutions, and analyses five state-of-the-art candidate face verification algorithms. Informed by the advantages and disadvantages of existing solutions, the paper proposes an extended dataset and a refined face verification pipeline. Subsequently, it conducts empirical evaluation of these algorithms using the proposed pipeline and dataset in terms of inference times and the distribution of the similarity indexes. Furthermore, this paper provides essential guidance for algorithm selection and deployment in UAV-based applications. Fruit recognition and location are the premises of robot automatic picking. YOLOv3 has been used to detect different fruits in complex environment. However, for the object with definite features, the complex network structure will increase the computing time and may cause overfitting. Therefore, this paper has carried out a lightweight design for the YOLOv3. This paper proposed an improved T-Net to detect tomato images. Firstly, the T-Net reduces the residual network layers. This paper changed the number of cycles in each group of the residual unit to 1, 2, 2, 1, and 1. Second, two feature layers with different scales are selected according to the features of tomatoes. Meanwhile, the convolutional layer at the neck has been reduced by two layers. Finally, the location and approximate diameter of the ripe tomato are obtained by combining the node information of the Intel D435i camera and T-Net in the Robot Operation System. T-Net obtains mean average precision (mAP) of 99.2%, F1-score of 98.9%, precision of 99.0%, and recall of 98.8% at a detection rate of 104.2 FPS. The proposed T-Net has outperformed the YOLOv3 with 0.4%, 0.1%, and 0.2% increase in precision, mAP, and F1-score. The detection speed of T-Net is 1.8 times faster than YOLOv3. The mean errors of the center coordinates and diameter of the tomato are 8.5 mm and 2.5 mm, respectively. This model provides a method for efficient real-time detection and location of tomatoes. To achieve effective and accurate segmentation of photovoltaic panels in various working contexts, this paper proposes a comprehensive image segmentation strategy that integrates an improved Meanshift algorithm and an adaptive Shi-Tomasi algorithm. This approach effectively addresses the challenge of low precision in segmenting target regions and boundary contours in routine photovoltaic panel inspection. Firstly, based on the image information of photovoltaic panels collected under different environments by cameras, an improved Meanshift algorithm based on platform histogram optimization is used for preliminary processing, and images containing target information are cut out; then, the adaptive Shi-Tomasi algorithm is used to extract and screen feature points from the target area; finally, the extracted feature points generate the segmentation contour of the target photovoltaic panel, achieving accurate segmentation of the target area and boundary contour of the photovoltaic panel. Experiments verified that in photovoltaic panel images under different background environments, the method proposed in this paper enhances the accuracy of segmenting the target area and boundary contour of photovoltaic panels. When facing problems in the aerial pursuit game, most of the current unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have good maneuverability performance, but it is difficult to utilize the overload maneuverability of UAVs properly; further, UAVs tend to be more costly, and it is often difficult to effectively prevent the enemy from reaching the tailgating position behind the UAV in the aerial pursuit game. Therefore, there is a pressing need for a maneuvering algorithm that can effectively allow a UAV to quickly protect itself in a disadvantageous position, stably and effectively select a maneuver with the maneuvering algorithm, and stably and effectively establish an advantage by moving to an advantageous position. Therefore, this paper establishes a cloud model-based UAV-maneuvering aerial pursuit decision-making model based on pursuit-and-evasion game positions. Based on the evaluation of the latter, when the UAV is at a disadvantage, we use the constructed defensive maneuver expert pool to abandon the disadvantageous position. When the UAV is at an advantage, we use cloud model-based pursuit-and-evasion game maneuvering decision making to establish an advantageous position. According to the results of the simulation examples, the maneuvering decision-making method designed in this paper confirms that the UAV can quickly abandon its position and establish an advantage in case of parity or disadvantage and that it can also stably establish a tail-chasing position in case of advantage. The research explained the benefits of "no algorithms" experience in mastering arithmetic, where the authors theorized that the approach improved the ability of children to master mental math techniques and disadvantages of standard addition algorithm. Many results have been obtained when studying scientific papers citations databases in a network perspective. Articles can be ranked according to their current in-degree and their future popularity or citation counts can even be predicted. The dynamical properties of such networks and the observation of the time evolution of their nodes started more recently. This work adopts an evolutionary perspective and proposes an original algorithm for the construction of genealogical trees of scientific papers on the basis of their citation count evolution in time. The fitness of a paper now amounts to its in-degree growing trend and a “dying” paper will suddenly see this trend declining in time. It will give birth and be taken over by some of its most prevalent citing “offspring”. Practically, this might be used to trace the successive published milestones of a research field. This paper proposes a cutting head optimization method based on meshing the spatial position of the picks. According to the expanded shape of the spatial mesh composed of four adjacent picks on the plane, a standard mesh shape analysis method can be established with mesh skewness, mesh symmetry, and mesh area ratio as the indicators. The traversal algorithm is used to calculate the theoretical meshing rate, pick rotation coefficient, and the variation of cutting load for the longitudinal cutting head with 2, 3, and 4 helices. The results show that the 3-helix longitudinal cutting head has better performance. By using the traversal result with maximum theoretical meshing rate as the design parameter, the longitudinal cutting head CH51 with 51 picks was designed and analyzed. The prediction model of pick consumption is established based on cutting speed, direct rock cutting volume of each pick, pick rotation coefficient, uniaxial compressive strength, and CERCHAR abrasivity index. And the rock with normal distribution characteristics of Uniaxial Compressive Strength is used for the specific energy calculating. The artificial rock wall cutting test results show that the reduction in height loss suppresses the increase in pick equivalent loss caused by the increase in mass loss, and the pick consumption in this test is only 0.037–0.054 picks/m3. In addition, the correlation between the actual pick consumption and the prediction model, and the correlation between the actual cutting specific energy and the theoretical calculation value are also analyzed. The research results show that the pick arrangement design method based on meshing pick tip spatial position can effectively reduce pick consumption and improve the rock cutting performance. This paper proposes a smart grid distributed security architecture based on blockchain technology and SDN cluster structure, referred to as ClusterBlock model, which combines the advantages of two emerging technologies, blockchain and SDN. The blockchain technology allows for distributed peer-to-peer networks, where the network can ensure the trusted interaction of untrusted nodes in the network. At the same time, this article adopts the design of an SDN controller distributed cluster to avoid single point of failure and balance the load between equipment and the controller. A cluster head was selected in each SDN cluster, and it was used as a blockchain node to construct an SDN cluster head blockchain. By combining blockchain technology, the security and privacy of the SDN communication network can be enhanced. At the same time, this paper designs a distributed control strategy and network attack detection algorithm based on blockchain consensus and introduces the Jaccard similarity coefficient to detect the network attacks. Finally, this paper evaluates the ClusterBlock model and the existing model based on the OpenFlow protocol through simulation experiments and compares the security performance. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis and systematic review of cryptocurrency trading algorithms to identify existing gaps in the area. From our standpoint, this is the first study to carry out a deep analysis of price forecasts and portfolio management in cryptocurrencies in addition to analyzing the most relevant studies and authors, trend topics of the area, and identifying countries with the most published studies. During our research, we identified some gaps that can be used for further research. Currently, there are approximately 16,000 cryptocurrencies; however, in majority of the papers, the authors have only used the top 10 ranking market capitalization cryptocurrencies, leaving aside potential minor cryptocurrencies. Objective: This study compared the aerosol and splatter diameter and count numbers produced by a dental mouth prop with a suction holder device and a saliva ejector during ultrasonic scaling in a clinical setting. Methodology: Fluorescein dye was placed in the dental equipment irrigation reservoirs with a mannequin, and an ultrasonic scaler was employed. The procedures were performed three times per device. The upper and bottom board papers were placed on the laboratory platform. All processes used an ultrasonic scaler to generate aerosol and splatter. A dental mouth prop with a suction holder and a saliva ejector were also tested. Photographic analysis was used to examine the fluorescein samples, followed by image processing in Python and assessment of the diameter and count number. For device comparison, statistics were used with an independent t-test. Result: When using the dental mouth prop with a suction holder, the scaler produced aerosol particles that were maintained on the upper board paper (mean ± SD: 1080 ± 662 µm) compared to on the bottom board paper (1230 ± 1020 µm). When the saliva ejector was used, it was found that the diameter of the aerosol on the upper board paper was 900 ± 580 µm, and the diameter on the bottom board paper was 1000 ± 756 µm. Conclusion: There was a significant difference in the aerosol and splatter particle diameter and count number between the dental mouth prop with a suction holder and saliva ejector (p < 0.05). Refereed conferences require every submission to be reviewed by members of a program committee (PC) in charge of selecting the conference program. There are many software packages available to manage the review process. Typically, in a bidding phase PC members express their personal preferences by ranking the submissions. This information is used by the system to compute an assignment of the papers to referees (PC members). We study the problem of assigning papers to referees. We propose to optimize a number of criteria that aim at achieving fairness among referees/papers. Some of these variants can be solved optimally in polynomial time, while others are NP-hard, in which case we design approximation algorithms. Experimental results strongly suggest that the assignments computed by our algorithms are considerably better than those computed by popular conference management software. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper explores citation-based metrics, how they differ in ranking papers and authors, and why. We initially take as example three main metrics that we believe significant; the standard citation count, the more and more popular h-index, and a variation we propose of PageRank applied to papers (called PaperRank), that is appealing as it mirrors proven and successful algorithms for ranking web pages. As part of analyzing them, we develop generally applicable techniques and metrics for qualitatively and quantitatively analyzing indexes that evaluate content and people, as well as for understanding the causes of their different behaviors. Finally, we extend the analysis to other popular indexes, to show whether the choice of the index has a significant effect in how papers and authors are ranked. We put the techniques at work on a dataset of over 260 K ACM papers, and discovered that the difference in ranking results is indeed very significant (even when restricting to citation-based indexes), with half of the top-ranked papers differing in a typical 20-element long search result page for papers on a given topic, and with the top researcher being ranked differently over half of the times in an average job posting with 100 applicants. By simulating the change process of the inventory of scientific papers according to a mathematical model of the publishing process, we find that publication delay would cause statistical error of the scientific paper output indicator, i.e. the quantity of published papers. Based on a simulation model and the average publication delay, we construct an optimization algorithm of the actual scientific paper output using a nonlinear least squares algorithm and validate its accuracy. To simplify the solution process, we propose an approximate algorithm of the actual scientific paper output indicator which would help science and technology managers practically deduce an approximation of the actual indicator. Although it was claimed that the MKR-α method can improve the overshoot and nonlinear stability characteristics of the KR-α method, it seems that it still has a high frequency overshoot in steady-state responses and a weak instability. Three examples are applied to numerically illustrate the two adverse properties. A loading-correction term is introduced into the displacement difference equation to remove the adverse overshoot in high frequency steady-state responses. Besides, it is analytically verified that the MKR-α method has an adverse weak instability. Although the problem of high frequency overshoot in steady-state responses can be overcome, there is no way to eliminate the adverse weak instability for both the KR-α method and MKR-α method. Thus, the applications of the two families of integration methods are very limited. The paper presents a technique for determining the time index of growth of the slope of reverse voltage for double insulated cables, based on the body of the theory of series. It is proved that in the vicinity of the extremum point (maximum) the function of the reverse voltage is approximated by polynomials of the nth power. It is proposed to use second-degree polynomials for practical calculations. The method for calculating relevant indicators is illustrated using real data. Analysis of deviations made it possible to conclude that the calculation method proposed in the paper is far more accurate. In the final part of the study, it was concluded that there is a promising outlook for further development of methodological guidelines for determining complex indices of the remaining life of the cable, including but not limited to the use of various mathematical methods.
