Abstract
- The article focuses on the research flaws in the study "The Harmful Effects of Algorithms in Grades 1-4," by Constance Kamii and Ann Dominick. The research explained the benefits of "no algorithms" experience in mastering arithmetic, where the authors theorized that the approach improved the ability of children to master mental math techniques and disadvantages of standard addition algorithm. The flaws proved that standard algorithms are essential in solving arithmetic problems in simple ways.
