The Ecology subject is taught in the second year of the Biology Degree, so that students know the relationships between organisms and their environment and the behavior of species populations in different scenarios, so the objective of the work is to propose a Virtual Laboratory for the subject, in such a way that the student becomes familiar with and infers the dynamic behavior of populations in the face of variations in the parameters: initial population, growth rate and carrying capacity. The logistic growth model was applied, this was implemented in the Stella 9.0.2 program so that the student can vary the parameters of the model and create scenarios that will allow him to understand and infer the response of a system for different conditions. The optional Virtual Hydraulics course is practical and linked to the practice of the profession. The activities presented are based on the interaction with the instruments of the virtual laboratory MultiLab Virtual, for the simulation of hydraulic processes. It is possible to obtain a record of how much has been used, with the possibility of determining in which aspects more support should be given, for the assimilation of concepts studied in Introduction to Hydraulic Engineering. The results of the diagnosis made at the beginning and at the end of the elective are presented in the work, using pedagogical diagnosis as a means of evaluating knowledge. Distance learning has already become a part of the educational process. In this regard, questions appear concerning its organization and the solution of specific problems. They include laboratory workshops, which is an integral part of the educational process in higher education since laboratory works allow students to gain knowledge and acquire skills, which is a prerequisite for the formation of their specialist competence. The problems of obtaining educational information during distance learning can be quite successfully solved. However, the acquisition of experimental skills remains an educational, scientific, and methodological problem that requires a solution. The article defines the peculiarities of using virtual laboratory workshops in the online education of students studying the discipline “Inorganic Chemistry”. The theoretic analysis of the main statements of the research problem was presented in the article. The results of the experimental study have proved that the use of computer modeling and the tools of a virtual laboratory when studying chemistry disciplines increases the educational achievements of the students, regardless of the initial level of knowledge. A prerequisite for the effective acquisition of skills by students is the systematic use of virtual laboratory tools. With the occasional use of virtual laboratory instruments, the skills obtained during the experiment were not learned or were not learned for a long time. The use of virtual laboratories provides independent training for students, increases motivation to master new material. Students focus on the experimental process, not on equipment and tools, as it happens in a real laboratory, which can become both a positive and a negative aspect of acquiring practical skills of future engineers, doctors, and pharmacists. The purpose of this research was to design a virtual laboratory in a Labview programming environment for training in the automation area of the Alonso de Ojeda University, in order to develop competencies in students studying engineering in the area described as automation and control. of processes. The study was based, from the theoretical point of view, on the author Lajara Vizcaíno and Pelegri (2007). Regarding the methodological aspect, based on the postulates of Arias (2012), Tamayo and Tamayo (2004) and Méndez (2001), this research was projective, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional field design; The population was made up of 4 active teachers at the university with knowledge related to the subject, which is considered a finite population, so it was worked as a population census. The data collection technique and instrument applied was the interview guide that did not require validation. The data analysis and processing technique used was content analysis. As a result of the application of the instrument, it was determined that there is a weakness in relation to the practical competencies of the students in the computer school, due to the lack of virtual laboratories for training in Labview; The technical and economic requirements to cover this need were also determined. Finally, the objective of developing a system for academic purposes was met that allows strengthening training in the automation laboratory and at the same time generating practical skills in students in the area. The MultiH.Virtual is a virtual laboratory with thirty-four different practical tasks and it has been used for more than twelve years in the teaching of matters of Fluid Mechanics in the university career of Hydraulic Engineering in several Cuban universities and at this moment it is also applied in the careers of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering. The computer product has been used in courses of Master degree dictated by the authors and other Cuban lecturers in their institution and in Latin American institutions. The use of information and telecommunication technologies (ICT) for the development of educational tools such as virtual laboratories has become a valuable teaching support practice in different areas of professional training. Current applications range from virtualization practices in fundamental sciences, to virtual experimentation on specific engineering topics. This paper describes the development of the Virtual Earthquake Engineering Lab (SISMILAB). This lab includes different applications with the objective of becoming an aid in the process of understanding and applying fundamental concepts related to the field of earthquake engineering. The aim of the lab is to strengthen the academic and research experiences of students both inside and outside the classroom. Students have readily used SISMILAB and given positive feedback regarding its effectiveness in conveying concepts and aiding in the visualization and interpretation of results. Traditional pedagogical applications are based on the development of the class with scoreboard and board, and with slight advances in the handling of slides; however, the digital technologies present a series of innovations that complement the work of the teaching with autonomous learning, that can develop the educating in agrarian and environmental areas. The development of multimedia didactic material MDM complements the curricular activities of the courses, particularly those that have a laboratory, and on the other hand, generate in the student skills for autonomous learning. An MDM was developed for the learning of the practices carried out in the plant culture laboratory, with client/server architecture, using current technologies in software development, with realtime characteristics and under the paradigm of Development of isomorphic applications. Based on MDM, qualitative evaluation was carried out by undergraduate students in agricultural production, which reported 86% approval of the material. Digital learning tools were found to facilitate and improve learning of learners to some extent. The use of new technologies like React, allows to improve the rendering of the pages and optimizes the load of the server in the necessary requests by the Apprentice, and makes more efficient the teaching-learning gear. We present an educational innovation strategy that consists on the implementation of a virtual investigation project in biology. In university education, some lab practices are prohibitive due to high costs. For distance university education, there are few virtual educational resources that can be used instead. In this paper we share the experience of using the dose-response simulator 1.0. The simulator has been developed in our lab to explore the usability and the learning levels achieved by the students. An exploratory study was conducted with a group of students from the Research Methods I course of the Bachelor's degree biology program. The work corresponds to a virtual, structured, semi-closed type, guided by specialized teaching supervision. Two levels of knowledge were evaluated: the management of the program and the understanding of theoretical knowledge. 69.2% of the students stated that using the simulator was easy. According with Bloom's taxonomy, from 100 to 92.3% performed well in activities at the apply and analyze levels, and 76.9 to 61.5% at the synthesize level. 7.7% did not adapt at all. Nowadays, the basic element to be used in the industry is the PLC, whose main function is to control the systems and processes in the industry. The use of virtual labs in preliminary stages in the complete assembly of the production lines helps to save money and time. It gives the advantage of having controllers and sequential logic mostly working, before having the system completely ready. This paper presents the development and implementation of a virtual environment of a conveyor belt in a brewery. Through the OSC protocol, the virtual laboratory and the PLC can communicate and achieve emulation of the real system in a virtual environment, where the PLC has been programmed as it would be done for an industry. This work investigates the students' perception about the use of a virtual laboratory as teaching resource. This virtual laboratory allows the manipulation of virtual circuit elements, and two devices: ammeters and voltmeters. In addition to it, we have designed seven other mediational means to use in a coordinated and complementary way. In this paper, we are going to discuss: the function of these mediational means; the reasons that justified their coordinated use in our classroom; the conceptions of mediation, mediated action and mediational means. Students were asked to evaluate our pedagogical planning when they answer an evaluation questionnaire. Their answers allow us to discuss the following questions: (a) how does the engagement of students in virtual laboratory, view through their point of view, could be compared with their involvement in other mediational means? (b) for the students, the virtual laboratory was important to the tasks mediated by other mediational means? The results show a high engagement of students in the mediational means and students' perception of the importance of virtual laboratory for other learning tasks mediated by other resources. The objective of this work is to develop a teaching tool, which allows variations in the parameters of the controller to see the influence they have on the stability of this process, with the aim of teaching process control using the computer. In the cases studied the values of the parameters were first fixed and then the students are allowed to change them both in the controller and in the process, to analyze their effects. The tests conducted showed the advantages and disadvantages of the use of this type of controller in a particular process. The experience gained with the students was satisfactory and the concepts were well understood by the students, in particular the type of changes that need to be introduced to reach stability of the control system. In this paper the authors present and discuss results obtained on the conformation of a practice of virtual laboratory attended with Matlab, for the design of a multivariavels controller for a distillation column. It's carried out a study of the decoupling method to be implemented, which is based on the use of the transfer functions matrix of the researched process. The innovative aspect of the employed methodology lies on the use of the experimental model of a real distillation column in order to implement, through simulation, techniques of classical decoupling with the correspondent performance evaluation.
