Acute kidney injury (AKI), as a common oxidative stress‐related renal disease, causes high mortality in clinics annually, and many other clinical diseases, including the pandemic COVID‐19, have a high potential to cause AKI, yet only rehydration, renal dialysis, and other supportive therapies are available for AKI in the clinics. Nanotechnology‐mediated antioxidant therapy represents a promising therapeutic strategy for AKI treatment. However, current enzyme‐mimicking nanoantioxidants show poor biocompatibility and biodegradability, as well as non‐specific ROS level regulation, further potentially causing deleterious adverse effects. Herein, the authors report a novel non‐enzymatic antioxidant strategy based on ultrathin Ti3C2‐PVP nanosheets (TPNS) with excellent biocompatibility and great chemical reactivity toward multiple ROS for AKI treatment. These TPNS nanosheets exhibit enzyme/ROS‐triggered biodegradability and broad‐spectrum ROS scavenging ability through the readily occurring redox reaction between Ti3C2 and various ROS, as verified by theoretical calculations. Furthermore, both in vivo and in vitro experiments demonstrate that TPNS can serve as efficient antioxidant platforms to scavenge the overexpressed ROS and subsequently suppress oxidative stress‐induced inflammatory response through inhibition of NF‐κB signal pathway for AKI treatment. Endogenous bacterial infections from damaged gastrointestinal (GI) organs have high potential to cause systemic inflammatory responses and life-threatening sepsis. Current treatments, including systemic antibiotic administration and surgical suturing, are difficult in preventing bacterial translocation and further infection. Here, we report a wireless localized stimulator composed of a piezo implant with high piezoelectric output serving as an anti-infective therapy patch, which aims at modulating the electro-microenvironment of biofilm around GI wounds for effective inhibition of bacterial infection if combined with ultrasound (US) treatment from outside the body. The pulsed charges generated by the piezo implant in response to US stimulation transfer into bacterial biofilms, effectively destroying their macromolecular components (e.g. , membrane proteins), disrupting the electron transport chain of biofilms, and inhibiting bacterial proliferation, as proven by experimental studies and theoretical calculations. The piezo implant, in combination with US stimulation, also exhibits successful in vivo anti-infection efficacy in a rat cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) model. The proposed strategy, combining piezo implants with controllable US activation, creates a promising pathway for inhibiting endogenous bacterial infection caused by GI perforation. For the purpose of efficient utilization of sediments dredged from harbor, a new method was proposed in this study. Marine silt bricks were made by mixing sediments with cement and gypsum, placing it in a cubic mold with 240 mm in length, 115 mm in width, and 53 mm in height, and curing for certain days. To investigate the effects of cement and initial water content of soil on the mechanical behavior of marine silt bricks, unconfined compressive and flexural strength tests were carried out. Given the same curing time and cement content, the higher the initial water content, the lower the compressive and flexural strength. After 60 days of curing, the compressive strength of marine silt bricks with cement content = 20% and water content = LL (liquid limit) reached approximately 5 MPa. The flexural strength was relatively low. The flexural strength of marine silt bricks with 20% cement and water content = LL was around 1.5 MPa. The compressive and flexural strength decreased with the increase of water/cement ratio. As for the curing time, longer curing time had a positive impact on the compressive strength. The questionnaire, gynecological examination, and laboratory inspection were used to collect data. The subgroup analysis was performed to estimate the effect of the specific contraceptives on the specific RTIs. Results: A total of 49,970 (95.2 %) women used contraceptive methods and 31,390 (59.8 %) women had at least one RTI. Overall, use of intrauterine device (IUD), condom, female sterilisation, rhythm method, and oral contraceptive (OC) were associated with RTIs. Objective: To investigate the epidemic characteristics of human cutaneous anthrax (CA) in China, detect the spatiotemporal clusters at the county level for preemptive public health interventions, and evaluate the differences in the epidemiological characteristics within and outside clusters. Methods: CA cases reported during 2005–2012 from the national surveillance system were evaluated at the county level using space-time scan statistic. Comparative analysis of the epidemic characteristics within and outside identified clusters was performed using using the χ2 test or Kruskal-Wallis test. Results: The group of 30–39 years had the highest incidence of CA, and the fatality rate increased with age, with persons ≥70 years showing a fatality rate of 4.04%. Seasonality analysis showed that most of CA cases occurred between May/June and September/October of each year. The primary spatiotemporal cluster contained 19 counties from June 2006 to May 2010, and it was mainly located straddling the borders of Sichuan, Gansu, and Qinghai provinces. In these high-risk areas, CA cases were predominantly found among younger, local, males, shepherds, who were living on agriculture and stockbreeding and characterized with high morbidity, low mortality and a shorter period from illness onset to diagnosis. Conclusion: CA was geographically and persistently clustered in the Southwestern China during 2005–2012, with notable differences in the epidemic characteristics within and outside spatiotemporal clusters; this demonstrates the necessity for CA interventions such as enhanced surveillance, health education, mandatory and standard decontamination or disinfection procedures to be geographically targeted to the areas identified in this study. This research was intended to investigate the fetal origins of changed birth weight of the offspring born through assisted reproductive technology (ART). The association between hormone and lipid metabolism or body weight has been generally accepted, and as the basic and specific treatment in ART procedure, gonadotropin stimulation might have potential effects on intrauterine lipid metabolism. In our studies, the mice were superovulated with two doses of gonadotropin. The cholesterol metabolism in ovaries and the triglyceride metabolism in embryos were analyzed. The results showed gonadotropin probably accelerated luteinization and induced a longer time follicle development and ovulation, which resulted in histological and morphological alteration of ovary, and increased the cholesterol content and the expressions of steroidogenesis-related genes. In embryos, gonadotropin increased lipid accumulation and decreased fatty acid synthesis in a dose-dependent manner. Moreover, the changes of fatty acid composition were also shown in superovulation groups. Our studies firstly provided the evidence that the superovulation might affect the maternal and fetal lipid metabolism. Interval concept lattice is the only lattice structure that can directly reflect the object sets that contain a certain number or percentage of properties in intension. A concept lattice is constructed based on the binary relation between objects and attributes. The attributes of formal context are changing all the time. We propose a longitudinal maintenance algorithm for interval concept lattice to reflect the regularity of the changing attributes and then extract some new rules. We also propose a maintenance algorithm for interval concept lattice under two situations: adding properties and deleting properties. Background: Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) is a rodent-borne disease caused by many serotypes of hantaviruses. In China, HFRS has been recognized as a severe public health problem with 90% of the total reported cases in the world. This study describes the spatiotemporal dynamics of HFRS cases in China and identifies the regions, time, and populations at highest risk, which could help the planning and implementation of key preventative measures. Methods: Data on all reported HFRS cases at the county level from January 2005 to December 2012 were collected from Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Geographic Information System-based spatiotemporal analyses including Local Indicators of Spatial Association and Kulldorff's space-time scan statistic were performed to detect local high-risk space-time clusters of HFRS in China. In addition, cases from high-risk and low-risk counties were compared to identify significant demographic differences. Results: A total of 100,868 cases were reported during 2005–2012 in mainland China. There were significant variations in the spatiotemporal dynamics of HFRS. HFRS cases occurred most frequently in June, November, and December. There was a significant positive spatial autocorrelation of HFRS incidence during the study periods, with Moran's I values ranging from 0.46 to 0.56 (P<0.05). Several distinct HFRS cluster areas were identified, mainly concentrated in northeastern, central, and eastern of China. Compared with cases from low-risk areas, a higher proportion of cases were younger, non-farmer, and floating residents in high-risk counties. Conclusions: This study identified significant space-time clusters of HFRS in China during 2005–2012 indicating that preventative strategies for HFRS should be particularly focused on the northeastern, central, and eastern of China to achieve the most cost-effective outcomes. A modified method for the synthesis of pyrazolo[3,4- b ]pyrrolo[3,4- d ]pyridine was developed through an Aza-Diels–Alder reaction of pyrazoylimines with maleimides in the sealed tube. Based on the control experiment, the yields for the Aza-Diels–Alder reaction seemed proportional to the suitable torsion conformation of pyrazoylimine, which was modulated by N , N -disubstituted amidinyl moiety. Macrophages are highly heterogeneous and exhibit a diversity of functions and phenotypes. They can be divided into pro‐inflammatory macrophages (M1) and anti‐inflammatory macrophages (M2). Diabetic wounds are characterized by a prolonged inflammatory phase and difficulty in healing due to the accumulation of pro‐inflammatory (M1) macrophages in the wound. Therefore, hydrogel dressings with macrophage heterogeneity regulation function hold great promise in promoting diabetic wound healing in clinical applications. However, the precise conversion of pro‐inflammatory M1 to anti‐inflammatory M2 macrophages by simple and biosafe approaches is still a great challenge. Here, an all‐natural hydrogel with the ability to regulate macrophage heterogeneity is developed to promote angiogenesis and diabetic wound healing. The protocatechuic aldehyde hybridized collagen‐based all‐natural hydrogel exhibits good bioadhesive and antibacterial properties as well as reactive oxygen species scavenging ability. More importantly, the hydrogel is able to convert M1 macrophages into M2 macrophages without the need for any additional ingredients or external intervention. ABSTRACT A new series of 1,3,4-oxadiazole-based aromatic and heterocyclic/phenylpyrazole derivatives 6a-c, 7a-d, and 8 were synthesized via sequential 1,3-dipolar cyclization, hydrazidation, benzoylation, dehydrative cyclization, and the Suzuki coupling reaction. Among the derivatives, compounds 7a and 7c with the corresponding 2-thienyl and 2-benzo[ b]thienyl (Ar) at the phenyl group located at the N-1 position of pyrazole showed a better conjugation range. The extension of interval concept lattice meets the intension property in the interval [α,β] (0≤α≤β≤1). In order to improve the construction efficiency of interval concept lattice, this paper put forward the incremental construction algorithm which was based on attribute power sets. In the constructing process, it sorted the nodes into invariant node, update node and new node. Firstly, the algorithm was about the intension generated by attribute power sets, and then constructed the lattice structure incrementally from bottom to top according to the unique properties of father-son node. This article provides an overview of a study on the incidence and distribution of scrub typhus in mainland China from 2006 to 2012. Scrub typhus is a bacterial infection transmitted by chigger mites, primarily found in areas where infected rodents are present. The study found a total of 27,391 confirmed cases of scrub typhus during the study period, with a higher incidence among females in 2011 and 2012. The disease was most prevalent among individuals aged 60-69 and farmers had a higher incidence compared to non-farmers. Specific objectives of the study were to quantify the temporal variation in incidence of JE cases, to determine if clustering of JE cases exists, to detect high risk spatiotemporal clusters of JE cases and to provide evidence-based preventive suggestions to relevant stakeholders. Methods: Monthly JE cases at the county level in mainland China during 2002–2010 were obtained from the China Information System for Diseases Control and Prevention (CISDCP). For the purpose of the analysis, JE case counts for nine years were aggregated into four temporal periods (2002; 2003–2005; 2006; and 2007–2010). Local Indicators of Spatial Association and spatial scan statistics were performed to detect and evaluate local high risk space-time clusters. Results: JE incidence showed a decreasing trend from 2002 to 2005 but peaked in 2006, then fluctuated over the study period. Spatial cluster analysis detected high value clusters, mainly located in Southwestern China. Similarly, we identified a primary spatiotemporal cluster of JE in Southwestern China between July and August, with the geographical range of JE transmission increasing over the past years. Conclusion: JE in China is geographically clustered and its spatial extent dynamically changed during the last nine years in mainland China. This indicates that risk factors for JE infection are likely to be spatially heterogeneous. The results may assist national and local health authorities in the development/refinement of a better preventive strategy and increase the effectiveness of public health interventions against JE transmission. Abstract: An efficient one-pot methodology for the synthesis of pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidines was developed by using 5-aminopyrazoles with formamide in presence of PBr3 as the coupling agent. Among the examples presented in this work, compounds 41 and 54–56 with phenyl or 2-quinolinyl groups at N-1 and p-Me–Ph, p-Cl–Ph, or p-OMe–Ph group at C-3 position in the pyrazole ring possessed better potency against NCI-H226 and NPC-TW01 cancer cells with GI50 values between 18 μM and 39 μM. Abstract: The nutritional composition of muscles from three farmed pufferfish species, Fugu obscurus, Fugu flavidus and Fugu rubripes, was investigated. All three species had high crude protein contents ranging between 17.8g/100g and 18.9g/100g (with the highest for F. rubripes), and low crude fat contents, 0.73g/100g to 0.83g/100g for adults, and 0.21g/100g to 0.29g/100g for juveniles. Significant differences (P <0.05) in macroelement contents and no significant differences (P >0.05) in microelement contents were found among the three species. It was found that K was the most abundant macroelement, ranging from 287mg/100g to 402mg/100g, while Fe was the most abundant microelement, 1.52mg/100g to 2.11mg/100g. Total amino acid (TAA) contents of three species were between 51.7g/100g and 62.9g/100g dry weight. The ratios of total essential amino acids to TAA were between 0.43 and 0.50, and F. flavidus had the highest ratio. The ratios of total umami amino acids to TAA were between 0.36 and 0.45, with the highest for F. rubripes. In eight amino acid scores (AAS), six AAS of three adult pufferfish were close to 1.00, but two AAS of valine and sum of phenylalanine and tyrosine of juveniles were close to 1.00. Abstract: An efficient 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition method was performed for the synthesis of a series of monofluoro- and trifluoromethane-3,5-disubstituted 1,2,4-triazoles. This efficient cycloaddition method was to react hydrazonoyl hydrochlorides with a series of aldehydes in the presence of NEt3 as catalytic basic agent to provide the corresponding product in 28–94%. Their growth inhibitory results against cancer cells indicated that some of the fluorine- and trifluoromethane-containing compounds could effectively inhibit the growth of NCI-H226 and T-cell leukemia (Jurkat) cells. Among the compounds, trifluoromethane-containing 1,2,4-triazoles possessed the five-membered ring groups on the C-5 position of the triazolic ring, including cyclopentyl, 3-furyl, 3-thienyl, and 2-pyrrolyl, possessed the significant inhibitory activity for NCI-H226 cancer cells. Abstract: A new ‘one-flask’ synthesis of 3,5-disubstituted 1,2,4-triazoles has successfully been developed to synthesize a series of 3,5-disubstituted 1,2,4-triazoles. The transformation involves the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of hydrazonoyl hydrochlorides with oxime intermediates prepared from aldehydes with hydroxylamine hydrochloride in the presence of excess amount of triethylamine. In this ‘one-flask’ 1,3-dipolar reaction, hydrazonoyl hydrochlorides was concerned as the masked 1,3-dipole nitrilimine under basic condition. Abstract: It is known that estrogen promotes the proliferation of breast cancer cells. Agonists to P2Y2 receptors promote or suppress proliferation in different cancers. In the present study, the methods of methylthiazoltetrazolium (MTT) assay, real-time RT-PCR, Western blot and fluorescent calcium imaging analysis were used to investigate whether P2Y2 receptors play a role in the effects of estrogen on the breast cancer cell lines, MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231. We found that P2Y2 receptors were expressed in both the estrogen receptor alpha (ERα)-positive breast cancer cell line MCF-7 and the ERα-negative breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231. 17β-Estradiol (17β-E2) (1pM to 1000nM) promoted proliferation of MCF-7 cells, which was blocked by the ER antagonist ICI 182,780 (1μM) and the ERα antagonist methyl-piperidino-pyrazole (MPP, 50μM), but not by the ERβ antagonist 4-[2-phenyl-5,7-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-3-yl]phenol (PHTPP, 50μM) or ERβ small interfering RNA. The P2Y2 and P2Y4 receptor agonist UTP (10–100μM) suppressed the viability of breast cancer cells in both MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells. The effect was blocked by suramin (10–100μM), known to be an effective antagonist against P2Y2, but not P2Y4, receptor-mediated responses. 17β-E2 played a more positive role in promoting proliferation in MCF-7 cells when suramin blocked the functional P2Y2 receptors. 17β-E2 (0.1–1000nM) downregulated the expression of P2Y2 receptors in terms of both mRNA and protein levels in MCF-7 cells. The effect was blocked by ICI 182,780 and MPP, but not PHTPP or ERβ small interfering RNA. 17β-E2 did not affect the expression of P2Y2 receptors in MDA-MB-231. UTP (10–100μM) led to a sharp increase in intracellular Ca2+ in MCF-7 cells. Pre-incubation with 17β-E2 (0.1μM) attenuated UTP-induced [Ca2+]i, which was blocked by ICI182,780 and MPP, but not PHTPP. It is suggested that estrogen, via ERα receptors, promotes proliferation of breast cancer cells by down-regulating P2Y2 receptor expression and attenuating P2Y2-induced increase of [Ca2+]i. Six transition metal coordination polymers, [Cu3(nbta)2(bipy)2(H2O)2]·2H2O (1), [Cu3(nbta)2(bpp)2(H2O)2]·2H2O (2), [Co3(nbta)2(bipy)3(H2O)2]·2H2O (3), [Co3(nbta)2(bpp)2(H2O)2] (4), [Ni2(Hnbta)2(bipy)2(H2O)2] (5) and [Ni3(nbta)2(bpa)3(H2O)2]·2H2O (6) (H3nbta = 5-nitro-1,2,3-benzenetricarboxylic acid, bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine, bpa = 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane, bpp = 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane), have been hydrothermally synthesized by the reactions of CuII, CoIIand NiIIsalts with H3nbta in the presence of dipyridyl-type co-ligands, respectively. Compounds 1–4and 6exhibit 3D pillared-layer structures while compound 5has a 2D layer. The nbta3−ligands in the 2D carboxylate layer motifs of 1–4and 6connect transition metal ions in different coordination modes, and the dipyridyl-type co-ligands in compounds 1–4and 6serve as the pillar between the 2D layers, creating 3D open frameworks. Abstract: A new chelating radical ligand NIT-1′-MeBzIm (1) (NIT-1′-MeBzIm=2-{2′-[(l’-methyl)benzimidazolyl]}-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide) and three corresponding complexes [M(NIT-1′-MeBzIm)2(NO3)(CH3OH)]·(NO3)(CH3OH) (M=Ni (2), Co (3)), [Zn(NIT-1′-MeBzIm)2(CH3OH)2]·(ClO4)2(H2O)2(CH3OH) (4) have been prepared and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction method and variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. In the crystal structures, radical 1, complexes 3 and 4 crystallize isomorphously in monoclinic, with the space groups are P2(1)/n, P2(1)/c, and P2(1), respectively. Complex 2 crystallizes in orthorhombic space group Pna2(1). The metal ions of the three complexes embed in distorted octahedron geometry centers and coordinated by two NIT-1′-MeBzIm radicals from the equatorial positions to form trans configuration, the axial positions are occupied by one methanol molecule and one nitrate anion for 2 and 3, but by two methanol molecules for 4. Magnetic measurement demonstrates that the intramolecular exchange couplings in 2 and 3 are antiferromagnetic with J =−41.25 and −38.1cm−1, where the spin Hamiltonian is defined as Ĥ =−2J(Ŝ rad1 Ŝ M + Ŝ M Ŝ rad2) based on the molecular structure of radical-metal-radical, while that in 4 is weak ferromagnetic with J =1.65cm−1 where the spin Hamiltonian is defined as Ĥ =−2JŜ 1 Ŝ 2 within the complexes. Intermolecular exchange couplings in 1 is also weak ferromagnetic with J =1.32cm−1 where the spin Hamiltonian is defined as Ĥ =−2JŜ 1 Ŝ 2 between radical and radical. Compounds 2–4 exhibit intermolecular antiferromagnetic interaction with the zJ′=−0.52cm−1, θ =−0.75K and zJ′=−0.49cm−1 for compounds 2, 3 and 4, respectively, which should ascribe to the weak interactions. Abstract: Reaction of 3,5-pyrazoledicarboxylic acid with copper salt under the hydrothermal condition affords a self-assembly tetranuclear copper(II) cluster based upon mixed ligands formulated as [Cu4(μ4-Pzdc)4(Im)4]·4Dma·9H2O (1) (H3Pzdc=3,5-pyrazoledicarboxylic acid, Im=imidazole, Dma=dimethylamine), in which the four copper(II) atoms are connected into a novel Cu4N8 metallonitrogen U-like open core through eight pyrazoledicarboxylate N atoms, and the tetranuclear clusters were further interlinked through strong hydrogen bonding interactions, resulting in three-dimensional lattice supramolecular networks. Abstract: Using Cu(II), Mn(II) or Co(II) salt and the flexible ligands, N-[(4-carboxyphenyl)-sulfonyl]glycine (H3L1) and N-[(3-carboxyphenyl)-sulfonyl]glycine (H3L2), a series of new coordination polymers, [Mn(phen)(H2O)4][HL1] (1), [Co3(L1)2(bipy)3(H2O)6] n ·8nH2O (2), [Cu4(L1)2(OH)2(bipy)4] n ·12nH2O (3), [Na(H2L1)(H2O)] n (4), [Mn2(HL2)2(dpe)3(H2O)2] n ·ndpe (5), (phen=1,10-phenanthroline, bipy=4,4′-bipyridine, dpe=1,2-di(4-pyridyl)ethylene), varying from 0D to 3D, have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Compound 1 has a [Mn(phen)(H2O)4]2+ cation and a HL1 2− anion. Compound 2 features a new 1D triple chain, based on octahedral cobalt atoms bridged by bipy molecules and terminally coordinated by two H3L1 ligands. Compound 3 has a 2D layered structure, constructed from new alternating chains where H3L1, hydroxyl and water molecules simultaneously act as bridging ligands. Compound 4 possesses a bilayer structure in which two adjacent layers are pillared by H3L1 ligands into a 2D bilayer network. Compound 5 is a unique 3D coordination polymer in which each Mn center binds two trans-located dpe molecules. The thermal stability as well as magnetic properties of 5 was also studied. First tetrahydrofuran-2,3,4,5-tetracarboxylic acid-bridged manganese(II) coordination polymer [Mn2L]n(L = tetrahy- drofuran-2,3,4,5-tetracarboxylic acid tetraanion) has been synthesized and characterized structurally. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c. a = 14.9418(15)Å, b = 7.7340(8) Å, c = 10.7222(11) Å, β = 102.59(10)•. Both of the Mn (II) ions in the complex are six-coordinated with a distorted octahedral geometry, but the coordination environments for them are different. Abstract: Two complexes of formulas [Ni(IM-MeImz)2(SCN)2]·CH3CH2OH (1) and [Mn(IM-MeImz)2(SCN)2]·3H2O (2), where IM-MeImz=2-(5-Methylimidazol-4-yl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-2-imidazoline-1-oxyl, have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The X-ray analysis demonstrates that IM-MeImz ligand is coordinated to metal ion with the κ2 N(MeImz), O(IM) mode to avoid steric hindrance with the methyl group in complex. In the solid state, the complexes 1 and 2 are linked by intermolecular hydrogen bonds, leading to two-dimensional structure. The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility of both compounds suggests that the metal ions and radicals are ferromagnetically coupled with J =2.78 and 1.11cm−1 for complexes 1 and 2, respectively. Abstract: The lead(II) complex with nitronyl nitroxide, [Pb(NIT2Py)2(NO3)2] [NIT2Py=2-(2′-pyridyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide], has been prepared and characterized by magnetic and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. In the complex, the lead(II) ion is coordinated with two bidentate nitronyl nitroxide and two nitrate anions. The lead(II) ion shows seven-coordinate geometry. Magnetic susceptibility data for the title complex has been measured in the range 5–300K. There are antiferromagnetic interaction between the coordinated nitronyl nitroxides (J =−19.35cm−1) and intermolecular ferromagnetic interactions. Thus, we observe the sixth periodic IVA group metal element Pb(II) ion providing an effective pathway for the magnetic exchange interaction between nitronyl nitroxide radicals. Abstract: A new nitronyl nitroxide NIT2-bithph (1) and its manganese(II) compound [Mn(hfac)2(IMHBithph)]2·(NIT2-bithph)(C6H14) (2) (hfac=hexafluoroacetylacetonate; NIT2-bithph=4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-2-(bithiophenal-2-yl)imidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide; IMHBithph=1-hydroxy-2-bithiophenal-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-4,5-dihydro- 1H-imidazole) have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction methods. The units of compound 1 were connected as one-dimensional chain by the intermolecular hydrogen bonds which afford an intermolecular antiferromagnetic interaction between nitronyl nitroxide radicals within the chain (J =−1.89cm−1). Compound 2 resulting from the reaction of Mn(hfac)2·2H2O and NIT2-bithph is dinuclear and includes the reduced amidino-oxide form of NIT2-bithph, it is made up of three parts: a [Mn(hfac)2(IMHBithph)]2 dimer unit, an uncoordinated NIT2-bithph radical and a noncoordinated solvent molecule of hexane, the molecule of radical is hydrogen bonded to its reduced form. Two reduced IMHBithph ligands bridge the two manganese(II) ions through their amidino-oxide oxygen atoms resulting in a small intramolecular antiferromagnetic interaction between the manganese ions (J =−1.55cm−1). Abstract: Lots of clustering algorithms have been developed, while most of them cannot process objects in hybrid numerical/nominal attribute space or with missing values. In most of them, the number of clusters should be manually determined and the clustering results are sensitive to the input order of the objects to be clustered. These limit applicability of the clustering and reduce the quality of clustering. To solve this problem, an improved clustering algorithm based on rough set (RS) and entropy theory was presented. It aims at avoiding the need to prespecify the number of clusters, and clustering in both numerical and nominal attribute space with the similarity introduced to replace the distance index. At the same time, the RS theory endows the algorithm with the function to deal with vagueness and uncertainty in data analysis. Shannon''s entropy was used to refine the clustering results by assigning relative weights to the set of attributes according to the mutual entropy values. A novel measure of clustering quality was also presented to evaluate the clusters. This algorithm was analyzed and applied later to cluster the data set of one industrial product. Abstract: The reaction of N-benzesulfonyl-l-glutamic acid (Bs-glu) with Zn(CH3COO)2 ·2H2O or Co(CH3COO)2 ·4H2O in the presence of imidazole (Im) produced two novel complexes [Zn(Im)2(Bs-glu)] n (1) and [Co(Im)2(Bs-glu)] n (2). Both of the complexes exhibit similar one-dimensional structural motif and coordination environment. Bs-glu adopts the bis-monodentated coordination mode linking two adjacent metal ions. The synthesis, crystal structure and magnetic properties of a novel diamagnetic metal complex containing thiazole-substituted nitronyl nitroxide radicals, [HgCl2(NIT2-thz)2] (NIT2-thz?= 2-(2'-thiazole)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide), is reported. A novel Mn(II)-nitronyl nitroxide-substituted thiazole complex Mn2(NIT2-thz)2Cl4(H2O)2 (NIT2-thz=2-(2′-thiazole)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide) was synthesized and characterized structurally and magnetically. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca. The complex has dimeric structure where two manganese ions are doubly bridged by chloride ions. A novel complex [Zn(NIT2-thz)2(H2O)2]·(ClO4)2 has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction methods. It crystallizes in the triclinic crystal system and space group PI¯. The structure consists of [Zn(NIT2-thz)2(H2O)2]2+ moiety and two perchlorate anions. The Zinc(II) ion is in a distorted octahedral environment: one nitrogen atom and one oxygen atom from the NIT2-thz, one nitrogen atom and one oxygen atom from another NIT2-thz in the basal plane; two oxygen atoms from the two water molecules in the axial position. The units of [Zn(NIT2-thz)2(H2O)2]2+ were connected as one-dimension chain by the intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Semiconductor materials have become the primary photocatalysts for photocatalytic hydrogen production. However, the design and synthesis of effective photocatalytic materials with excellent electron/hole separation efficiency, fast charge transfer, and low carrier recombination rate still face great challenge. Herein, hollow p-n heterojunction MoS 2 @ZnIn 2 S 4 nanoboxes are synthesized for the first time by growing n-type ZnIn 2 S 4 (ZIS) two-dimensional nanosheets on the surface of p-type hollow MoS 2 nanoboxes (MSNBs), which exhibits obvious photocatalytic activity. Among them, 5% MSNBs@ZIS photocatalyst shows the highest hydrogen production efficiency of 22.25 mmol h-1 g-1, which is 7.3 times that of pure ZIS. The high photocatalytic hydrogen production efficiency of 5% MSNBs@ZIS can be attributed to the formation of hollow structure and p-n heterojunction, which can provide a large number of catalytic active sites, large surface area, and can effectively promote the separation of photogenerated carriers, respectively. Abstract A new 2D manganese(II) coordination polymer, namely [Mn(L)0.5(2,2′-bipy)]n·nH2O (1), has been constructed hydrothermally based on manganese acetate and the mixed ligands including the 5.5′-(benzene)-1,4-diyl)-bis(oxy) diterphthalic acid (H4L) and auxiliary 2,2′-bipyridine (2,2′-bipy). The compound was characterized by elemental analyses, was characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectrum and single-crystal and powder X-ray diffractions, and thermal analyses. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses revealed that compound 1 crystallize in the triclinic system, space group P-1. The adjacent Mn(II) ions are bridged by µ6-L4− ligands, producing a 2D layer. Forecasting methods and theories have been widely researched and applied in complex systems and fields such as statistical physics, econophysics, material crystals, etc. However, challenges persist in applying these methods to complex systems characterized by high dimensionality, data imbalance, and single prediction evaluation. To address these issues, we propose a novel hybrid forecasting approach that integrates the model confidence set (MCS) with machine learning (ML) models. We introduce Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to reduce dimensionality of the data, reduce data imbalance through a combination of random undersampling and oversampling, and introduce several metrics to evaluate the machine learning model set. We also introduce the MCS to select the optimal model from the set of ML models and propose a new combinatorial approach, the MCS-ML combinatorial model. An empirical study is conducted using the example of abnormal transactions in the Bitcoin blockchain. The empirical results show that the proposed MCS-ML combinatorial model has better predictive performance than the models in the ML model set under different data structures. • We propose a combinatorial MCS-ML model that outperforms all machine learning models. • Comparison of predictive performance of machine learning models is performed. • Optimal model selection was performed by introducing the MCS method. • Data dimensions and imbalances are optimized and empirically compared. • The computational efficiency after PCA is better than the original data. A stainless steel fiber was coated with a gate-opening controlled metal-organic framework ZIF-7 via a sol-gel method and applied to the solid-phase microextraction of aldehydes (hexanal, heptanal, octanal, nonanal, decanal) from exhaled breath by lung cancer patients. The effects of temperature and time on the sorption and desorption were optimized. Under optimum condition, the modified fiber displays enrichment factors (typically ranging from 300 to 10,000), low limits of detection (0.61-0.84 μg L−1), and wide linear ranges of hexanal, heptanal (5-500 μg L−1) and octanal, nonanal, decanal (10-1000 μg L−1). The high extraction capability for aldehydes is thought to result from (a) the combined effects of the large surface area and the unique porous structure of the ZIF-7, (b) the hydrophobicity and gate-opening effect of the sorbent, (c) the high selectivity of the window, and (d) the presence of unsaturated metal-coordination sites. The coated fiber is thermally stable and can be re-used >150 times. The relative standard deviation (RSD) for six replicate extractions using a single fiber ranged from 1.4-15.3% for intra-day and 2.4-16.1% for inter-day. The fiber-to-fiber reproducibility for three fibers prepared in parallel was in the range of 2.4-12.6% (RSD). The method was applied to the extraction of aldehydes from real samples and to the quantitation by gas chromatography. Recoveries from spiked samples ranged from 84 to 113%.A metal-organic framework ZIF-7 coated stainless steel fiber was prepared via sol-gel method. Lanthanide metal–organic framework (Ln-MOF) based phosphors for light-emitting diodes (LEDs) play an important role in the fields of solid-state lighting and display. The rational design of organic antennae to address the drawback of low extinction coefficients of the lanthanide ions is highly desired. In this work, we provide a new design strategy to achieve an energy transfer molecule with a through-space conjugated folded structure, which can strengthen the skeleton rigidity and facilitate triplet state energy transfer. Consequently, one U-type π-conjugated molecule 2,6-bis(3,5-dicarboxylphenoxy) pyridine (H4L) was selected as a light gatherer to sensitize lanthanide ions for the construction of Ln-MOFs [Ln(HL)(H2O)3]n (Eu-MOF and Tb-MOF), which exhibit a long-lived luminescence lifetime (0.88 ms for Eu-MOF and 1.31 ms for Tb-MOF) and high quantum yields (50.87% for Eu-MOF and 85.64% for Tb-MOF). Furthermore, a white LED device with a colour rendering index (89) was fabricated using the mixture of Ln-MOFs with a commercial blue phosphor. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A new Zinc(II) coordination polymer, {[Zn(ip)(H2L)]·4H2O}n [H2ip = isophthalic acid; H2L = 3-(1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-5-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole], is reported here. It has been structurally characterized by X-ray single crystal analysis, IR spectra, fluorescence spectroscopy, thermogravimetry analysis and X-ray powder diffraction patterns. It belongs to the triclinic system, space group P-1 with a = 8.7934(3) Å, b = 10.1639(3) Å, c = 12.3203(5) Å, α = 75.174(3)°, β = 81.739(3)°, γ = 79.578(4)°, V = 1041.40(7) Å3, Z = 2, Dc = 1.638 g/cm3, Mr = 513.77, F(000) = 528, R = 0.0344 and wR = 0.0798. The single X-ray diffraction studies reveal that the compound exhibits 2D layer structure. Moreover, thermal behavior and luminescence properties of the compound were also studied.
