This article aims at describing and problematizing issues related to the operationalization of music composition workshops with young people from the hip-hop movement, presenting the potentialities and difficulties of using this technique in qualitative research. The study was carried out in a community on the outskirts of Cubatão, in the coast of São Paulo, according to the socio-historical psychology reference. It used the methodology of the workshops, proposing some pathways and methodological strategies for youth research. Emotional bonds are an important strategy for the construction of knowledge and the realization of the workshops with the participation of the young people, including these as facilitators and not only as interlocutors of the study. The qualitative research and music composition workshops can foster in young people a critical reflection of reality through the objectification of their subjectivity, in a work that is dialectically individual and collective. The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) hosted the XVII Colloquium of Classical Literature Students, titled "Classics: a therapy in times of pandemic". The event had the participation of students from UNAM, the University of Guanajuato, and professors in Spain, and it took place in a hybrid format, both virtually and in person. During the colloquium, various presentations and academic activities related to the classics were held, addressing topics such as the plague in Athens in 430 BC, the sin of laziness in Book II of "My Secret" by Francisco Petrarca, and the iconographic analysis of the verses of Homer's Odyssey. Master lectures were also given on the relevance of the classics in the present and the relationship between magic and medicine in the context of the plague. The colloquium concluded with a master lecture on the Confessions of St. Augustine. The activities were well received, and it is expected that this space will continue for future generations of students. [Extracted from the article]

The Calixto García municipality presents constraints on agricultural production related to environmental and socioeconomic factors. During the period 2012-2016 came true five workshops as part of a project, in the ones that the treated subject matters were: 1) Sensitization for the Agrarian Extension from the university; 2) Identification of themes of investigation action; 3) Preparation of multi-actor collaboration; 4) Performance Appraisal and elaboration of project VLIR of continuation; and 5) Integration of actors to municipal level. The principal lessons learned at the workshops constitute the priority to consider the farmers' knowledge and the interchange with them, the use of the methodologies of investigation relevantly action, collaboration multi-actors and social actors' integration for the step of projects and execution of actions in te rms of the Local development. This article analyzes an experience of insertion of Psychology in basic education based on the teaching practice of scholarship holders from the Psychology project of the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID). The general objective was to discuss, theoretically, an extension experience in Psychology, carried out through PIBID, in which workshops were held, with high school students, on social issues related to prejudice and exclusion. The specific objectives were: (1) to analyze the experience of inserting Psychology at school and the results of the intervention performed; (2) contextualize the themes addressed in the workshops and their relevance in school education; (3) reflect on the workshop as a formative methodology. The extensionist experience was made concrete by the construction of the workshop "Actualities on the scene: society and its struggles" whose main objective was to promote discussions about some social relations linked to exclusionary and discriminatory practices, namely, gender violence, sexuality, anti-asylum fight, issue indigenous and race relations. For this porpuse, educational workshops and the use of media resources were adopted to promote learning through active participation. Among the observed results, it highlights the enrichment of the teaching formation by the scholarship holders and the contact with critical discussions about the current society by the workshop participants. The analysis of the experience contributed to the understanding of the importance of inserting undergraduate students in psychology in the school space through extension projects, as well as the relevance of PIBID and university extension in the school context, promoting a broader, reflexive and critical human formation. The approaches of decolonial anthropology and feminist epistemologies have allowed new reflections on ethnographic practice. Drawing from this framework, we propose epistemic-corporeal workshops as spaces focused on the body and emotions for researchers to discuss their work, and as privileged methodologies for a collective and embodied "strong reflexivity" (placing the subject on the same level than the object of research [Harding 1991]) about the purpose of ethnographic work: not only about "knowing what" but also about "knowing how," as well as about aspects of research that have traditionally been discarded. In the article, we bring together the description of the exercises of the workshops, the collective reflections arising from them, and three theoretical artifacts for their analysis: "corporeal practices in research"; "committed articulation"; and "off-field epistemologies." As a result, we analyze the role of the body and emotions in the research process; the networks and attachments that are generated, how and from where we commit ourselves to what we research; relations of power and epistemic violence in research practice; and the dilemmas, encounters, and tensions between research and activism. This article is a preliminary approach and an explanation from the designers and facilitators of the workshops who do not have the proper knowledge themselves, but who create said knowledge with the participants of these spaces as well as developing new tools for questioning power relationships between the participants and the researcher. Para las instituciones educativas y sus estudiantes, resulta sumamente valioso el realizar visitas a la industria y gestionar la realización de prácticas en la misma, dónde el estudiante pueda observar, en un ambiente real, los procesos, técnicas, equipos y maquinarías de los que ha aprendido en las aulas. Esta actividad ayuda a solventar, también, algunas posibles carencias de infraestructura y tecnología de las instituciones. Por la naturaleza de los procesos, normativas y estándares empleados en la industria, es común que estas visitas o prácticas terminen convirtiéndose en simples recorridos guiados, con poca o nula interacción con el proceso productivo. Esta situación limita la experiencia de los estudiantes a la mera observación y reconocimiento de lo que ahí se realiza. En este trabajo se presenta MECHLAB, un simulador con el potencial de mejorar el proceso de enseñanza y capacitación de estudiantes, profesionales y trabajadores de distintas ramas de la industria. En el presente trabajo, este simulador es probado por estudiantes de diversas ingenierías, quienes muestran una gran aceptación e interés por aprender y mejorar sus habilidades mediante su uso. This study aims to understand the strategy definition processes in faculty development movements of five Brazilian public universities. Specifically, we wanted to know about the articulation of university pedagogy with different areas of knowledge, describe the strategies developed and realize conditions that facilitate and/or hinder their development. Seven academic administrators involved in the organization and planning of these strategies collaborated in this research. The results revealed that the main strategies used are lectures, seminars and workshops; and that only one of the institutions uses activities mediated by information and communication technologies such as teleducation. The interviewees mentioned that the universities have difficulties in establishing and strengthening pedagogical advisory groups to bring together teachers and staff to address teaching practice issues, given the specificities of the institution. In fact, little was mentioned about organizing and enhancing internal groups for this purpose, which may suggest that they are not relying on specialized researchers or sufficiently considering the literature and experiences in this field. At the end, we point out that further studies could provide more insight into the impasses and their conditioning factors, thus, could help in the development of organizational and programmatic alternatives or innovations to improve teaching and learning processes in Brazilian higher education. The key concepts of the anthropology of the Global South and the feminist epistemologies have allowed new reflections on ethnographic practice. From this framework, we would like to propose workshops as privileged methodologies for achieving a "strong reflexivity" on the ethnographic practice that is also collective and embodied, and not just focused on knowing what, but knowing how, and on aspects of research that are traditionally discarded. In the article, we combine the descriptions of the workshop exercises, the collective reflections emerged from them, and three theoretical artifacts for their analysis: the "corporal practices in research", the "committed articulation" and the "off-field epistemologies". As a result, we analyze the role of the body and the emotions in the process of researching, the networks and bonds that are generated, the aspects involved in our commitment to these processes; the power relations and the different forms of epistemic violence in research practice; the dilemmas, the meetings and misunderstandings between research and activism. El Museo Marítimo Ría de Bilbao tiene como objetivo difundir la cultura marítima a niños/as y jóvenes, de una forma lúdica. We present a participatory ethnobotanical experience from the development of research projects, university outreach work, and university volunteer programs in the rural areas of Paso Viejo (Pedanía Pichanas, Cruz del Eje). The objective was to identify and save plant resources of cultural interest, in addition to discuss the community and educational processes that promote participatory research (citizen science) with local actors. Five workshops were held on the different themes of ethnobotany, such as environmental interpretation, local productive practices, traditional food, veterinary medicine and forage plants. In the context of the local cultural context, we registered a total of 88 uses in 49 wild species and 3 cultivated species; 7 uses are associated with food, 19 with veterinary medicine, 32 with forage, and 30 with other uses. University students participated in the organization, planning, and preparation of the resources used as well as fieldwork registration and systematization of workshops. The study discusses how the construction of a dialogical experience promotes greater reciprocity in the process of collection of ethnobotanical data and knowledge, resulting in an educational and pedagogical process. This work reports on the pedagogical aspects of workshops for Portuguese teachers and undergraduate language students, and presents the main actions resulting from the establishment of this facility. The workshops enabled the exchange of experiences between teachers and undergraduate students concerning the teaching of Portuguese as a second language to deaf students, and the appraisal of possible issues that might assist teaching in this community. The present article demonstrates the use of cinema as an educational tool that can help with the recovery of lost cultural memory; in this case, from the contributions of George Méliès to the technical and historical development of the area of cinematographic culture through the screening of the film "Hugo" directed by Martin Scorsese (2012). A field trip with university students to the exhibit organized by the Caixa Forum Madrid where a mixed methodology of workshops, the screening of the film, and a follow-up interaction based on other creations by Scorsese aimed at the acquisition and development of transversal content. The results obtained through this experience, highlight the significant acquisition of contemporary cultural aspects in non-formal learning environments. The primary conclusion is related to participant access to contents which are part of contemporary cultural and historical development in a playful way to complement formal education systems. The work was carried out in San Nicolas municipality, Mayabeque province, for UEB Hector Molina technicians, during 2014. The observation of the process show that this UEB is the contaminating centers of major environmental impact in this municipality, because it throw a big volume of solid waste and don't make environmental training actions to technicians and workers. This work has the objective to increase the answer capacity in environmental pollutions problems to the technicians of the production area, through the implementation of training workshops. Were applied scientific methods such as: theoretic, empiric and mathematic, which were used to know the needs and existing training level and the level of needs to receive this training. Were applied the tools at the beginning and at the end of research to know the workshop impact, obtaining a positive answer. This UEB have a Quality System Manual but they don't use it and the technicians in the production area have insufficient knowledge in environmental themes. The 87 % of inquired people estimated very adequate the implementation of these workshops and only 13 % considered it as no adequate, and the designed workshop increased the knowledge to the 85 % of technicians in the production area. In this paper is carried out an analysis of the evolution and the development of the management of the maintenance and the repair in the shops of the agricultural companies in Cuba, from the creation of the national net of shops until our days. It is stood out the functional qualities of the different component sub-processes of the management and their general operability in the different stages of their development and the main results reached in Cuba in this field of the knowledge are exposed until the present in correspondence with the organizational new structure of the national net of shops, the new conditions and perspectives of development, with the objective of perfecting the management of the maintenances and the repairs of the agricultural technique. Through the methodology of participatory workshops we have tried to show the interrelationship between formal education systems and non-formal education in the development of democratic values and citizenship education in the European context; especially Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) complement various projects and programs in Europe. It was performed in the framework of Intensive Program ERASMUS (IP-ERASMUS). The main objective of this workshop was to make faculty and students aware participant in the ongoing work of these external agents, and develop values of empathy, cooperation and commitment. At the end of it took place an evaluation of the work done in order to verify the degree of achievement of our goals and in what respects audience is more focused assistant when participating in these activities. The results focus on the practical applicability of the developed topic, level of depth and the ability of the speaker to capture the audience's attention as well as their experience in the field. Several pyrite inlays that shaped Prehispanic mosaic mirrors have been recovered in many Mesoamerican sites. Recent researches on these objects have been focused on their symbolic meaning, morphology, trade and use, with few studies that address their manufacturing techniques and production organization. In this paper we present the technological analysis we applied to different pyrite inlays from four Mesoamerican sites, supported by experimental archaeology and technological instruments such as scanning electron microscope. A brief introduction of sequential programming concepts, it's constituent elements, performance measures relationship and is complemented by a case study presentation, with it's statement, the organization of information, the technological sequence, routes each task, the graph that represents the production system, the precedence list, the feasible implementation program, the decision criteria for programming operations and the application of Matlab to solve the problem. Actually the education, educational systems, and specially the school, like the actors, processes and results involved on it, have had to confront a radical transformation in order to answer to necessities and contemporary social demands and mainly to the new impacts produced by phenomena like globalization, (understood as the important process of technological innovation and growing intercommunication between countries, groups and sectors) and the new society of knowledge. This one is supported on an accelerated change and unprecedental changes in information and communication technologies, as the accumulation and diversification of knowledge. In this paper I share my experience and reflections about my work developed during more than twelve years with family parents within several scholar institutions and in community centers for to impulse the familiar education. I started granting talks and conferences on topics what they asked me, but in despite of their interest they showed, it did not achieve an enthusiastic participation of good part of audience. This took me to look for another more didactic alternatives and to use more active methodologies until to discover the formative possibilities of the workshops complemented with tutorial support. In this way, parents think about their specific situation and they find answers, almost always grow up of themselves, to the related problems with familiar interaction and their son's education; they fix goals and objectives for to improvement and they receive advice and sugestions to follow. Review of the first Seminar of the ALFA-METAUNIVERSIDAD network, celebrated from March 27 to April 7 of 2006 at the Faculty of Architecture of Seville, Spain. The article discusses the activities made during the Electrical Engineering I workshop. The event was participated by electrical engineering students and it was aimed at reaching the practical skills experienced daily, specifically in the area of electrical connections. The event allows them to give solution to a group of practical problems with low theoretical complexity.
