DEBATENDO PRECONCEITO E EXCLUSÃO: RELATO DE UMA EXPERIÊNCIA EXTENSIONISTA DA PSICOLOGIA NA ESCOLA.

Abstract

This article analyzes an experience of insertion of Psychology in basic education based on the teaching practice of scholarship holders from the Psychology project of the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID). The general objective was to discuss, theoretically, an extension experience in Psychology, carried out through PIBID, in which workshops were held, with high school students, on social issues related to prejudice and exclusion. The specific objectives were: (1) to analyze the experience of inserting Psychology at school and the results of the intervention performed; (2) contextualize the themes addressed in the workshops and their relevance in school education; (3) reflect on the workshop as a formative methodology. The extensionist experience was made concrete by the construction of the workshop "Actualities on the scene: society and its struggles" whose main objective was to promote discussions about some social relations linked to exclusionary and discriminatory practices, namely, gender violence, sexuality, anti-asylum fight, issue indigenous and race relations. For this porpuse, educational workshops and the use of media resources were adopted to promote learning through active participation. Among the observed results, it highlights the enrichment of the teaching formation by the scholarship holders and the contact with critical discussions about the current society by the workshop participants. The analysis of the experience contributed to the understanding of the importance of inserting undergraduate students in psychology in the school space through extension projects, as well as the relevance of PIBID and university extension in the school context, promoting a broader, reflexive and critical human formation. In addition, it was noted the importance of working with these themes in the current Brazilian context, where several rights of the most vulnerable populations are withdrawn. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
