This paper is examining the role of the construction industry in economic development. The study was conducted in 8 countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Viet Nam, Philippines, and Brunei Darussalam) which are members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) organization. All data was gathered form key performance indicator (KPI) of Asian Development Bank (ADB) database between 2000-2019. The analysis of 2 variables was conducted using scatter plot diagrams and linear regression (linear regression) to determine the trend. The findings of this study indicate there is positive relationship between the construction industry and economic growth in developing countries but not for developed countries. This finding also shows that construction growth in developing countries will tend to continue to increase following economic growth, while for developed countries construction industry growth tends to be flat or even decline for the foreseeable future. Among all the countries studied, the growth of construction industry both Timor-Leste and Indonesia are the fastest. In addition, the contribution of the construction industry to the GDP of the country of Timor-Leste and Indonesia in the highest ranking when compared to other countries studied. Debriefing of pedagogical competence through both theory and practice which became a requirement for prospective teachers were through micro teaching and teaching practice program. But, some reports from the partner schools stated that the participants of teaching practice program have not well prepared on implementing the learning in the classroom because of lacking the debriefing. In line with the development of information technology, it is very possible to develop a media briefing of pedagogical competencies for prospective teachers through an application so that they can use it anytime and anywhere. This study was one answer to the problem of unpreparedness participants of the teaching practice program. This study developed a teaching simulator, which was an application for learning simulation with the animated film to enhance the professional pedagogical competence prospective teachers. By the application of this teaching simulator, students as prospective teacher could test their own pedagogic competence through learning models with different varied characteristics of students. Teaching Simulator has been equipped with features that allow users to be able to explore the quality of teaching techniques that they employ for the teaching and learning activities in the classroom. These features included the election approaches, the student's character, learning materials, questioning techniques, discussion, and evaluation. Teaching simulator application provided the ease of prospective teachers or teachers in implementing the development of lessons for practice in the classroom. Applications that have been developed to apply simulation models allow users to freely manage a lesson. Development of teaching simulator application was passed through the stages which include needs assessment, design, coding, testing, revision, improvement, grading, and packaging. The application of teaching simulator was also enriched with some real instructional video as a comparison for the user. Based on the two experts, the media expert and education expert, stated that the application of teaching simulator is feasible to be used as an instrument for the debriefing of students as potential participants of the teaching practice program. The results of the use of the application to the students as potential participants of teaching practice program, showed significant increases in the pedagogic competence. This study was presented at an international seminar and in the process of publishing in international reputated journals. Applications teaching simulator was in the process of registration to obtain the copyright of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. Indonesia strengthening school management through the implementation of School Management System Based Information Technology and Communications (SMS-ICT) is intended to improve the performance of schools to accommodate the complexities of management in a computerized system that is simple but comprehensive so that it aligns with the era of the 21st century. School Management System Based Information and Communication Technologybased standards developed 12 education, adapted from 8 national standards into the system components that support the characteristics of 21st century schools. Twelfth system components include curriculum, Personal Development, Recruitment of New Student Services and Student Development, Education Labor and Education, Infrastructure, Leadership, School Management, Financing, Evaluation, and Social Communications. This study is titled the impact of audio narrated animation on students' understanding in learning humanrespiratory system based on gender. This study was conducted in eight grade of junior high school. This study aims to investigate the difference of students' understanding and learning environment at boys and girls classes in learning human respiratory system using audio narrated animation. Research method that is used is quasy experiment with matching pre-test post-test comparison group design. The procedures of study are: (1) preliminary study and learning habituation using audio narrated animation; (2) implementation of learning using audio narrated animation and taking data; (3) analysis and discussion. The result of analysis shows that there is significant difference on students' understanding and learning environment at boys and girls classes in learning human respiratory system using audio narrated animation, both in general and specifically in achieving learning indicators. The discussion related to the impact of audio narrated animation, gender characteristics, and constructivist learning environment. It can be concluded that there is significant difference of students' understanding at boys and girls classes in learning human respiratory system using audio narrated animation. The objective of curriculum 2013 is to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, which leads to improving the quality of learning. The scientific approach and supported empowerment media is one approach as massaged of curriculum 2013. This research aims to design a labyrinth game based multimedia and apply in the scientific learning approach. This study was conducted in one of the Vocational School in Subjects of Computer Network on 2 (two) classes of experimental and control. The method used Mix Method Research (MMR) which combines qualitative in multimedia design, and quantitative in the study of learning impact. The results of a survey showed that the general of vocational students like of network topology material (68%), like multimedia (74%), and in particular, like interactive multimedia games and flash (84%). Multimediabased maze game developed good eligibility based on media and material aspects of each value 840% and 82%. Student learning outcomes as a result of using a scientific approach to learning with a multimediabased labyrinth game increase with an average of gain index about 0.58 (58%) and higher than conventional multimedia with index average gain of 0.41 (41%). Based on these results the scientific approach to learning by using multimediabased labyrinth game can improve the quality of learning and increase understanding of students. Digital literacy and creative thinking skills are two competencies needed by prospective physics teachers in conducting future physics learning. This research aims to determine the correlation between digital literacy and creative thinking skills of prospective physics teachers who attended school physics lecture. This research was descriptive research with survey method. Participants in this research consisted of 40 prospective physics teachers in Tasikmalaya, with 13 males and 27 females. They are third-level physics education students who have an average age of 19-21 years. The instruments were digital literacy test and creative thinking skills test which have high validity and reliability. IBM SPSS 23rd version was used to analyze data. There are two stages in analyzing data. The first stage was analyzing data distribution using the Kolmogorov Smirnov test. The second stage was analyzing the correlation between creative thinking skills and digital literacy. In general, the correlation value of prospective physics teachers was 0.537 in the medium category. The correlation value in males was 0.612 in the high category and the correlation in females was 0.572 in the medium category. The prospective physics teachers should develop their digital literacy to support the enhancement of their creative thinking skills, especially in organizing physics learning activities in the future. The purpose of this article is to review articles related to multiple intelligences in learning and figure out the multiple intelligences approach in learning activities and several bits of intelligence that play an important role in science learning. This paper is the result of a review of 40 articles related to learning activities that use multiple intelligence-based approaches, media, and learning models, published from 2011 to 2021. The multiple intelligences theory was put forward by Howard Gardner, an expert in education and psychology. There are nine types of intelligence based on Gardner's theory, namely: verbal-linguistic intelligence, visual-spatial intelligence, musical intelligence, logical-mathematics intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, naturalist intelligence, and existential intelligence, which have different characteristics. The method used in this study is a systematic literature review with the following stages: determining research questions; determining criteria; generating a framework for articles; searching, filtering, and selecting; analyzing and interpreting the content of each reviewed article; article writing, and publishing. This study discusses Gardner's multiple intelligence theory, the multiple intelligences approach in learning activities, and the most influential intelligence in science learning. The soil Bacillus group is known to produce antibacterial compounds against plant pathogenic bacteria. One of them is Dickeya sp., which causes soft rot diseases on leaves, stems, and roots of plants. Liwa Botanical Garden or Kebun Raya Liwa (KRL) has supporting environmental and soil conditions which allow the existence of Bacillus genus. Bacillus sp. TSR 6 was isolated successfully and demonstrated the best screening result against Dickeya sp. The objective of this study was to evaluate antibacterial activity of Bacillus sp. isolated from KRL soil against Dickeya sp. Bacillus sp. TSR 6 was cultured on the antibacterial production medium and extracted with ethyl acetate to produce 222 mg of crude extract. The antibacterial activity test of Bacillus sp. TSR 6 crude extract was conducted with agar disk diffusion method. The crude extract demonstrated antibacterial activity against Dickeya sp. with 3.25 mm inhibition zone at 5000 µg/ml stock concentration. Thin Layer Chromatography with n-hexane: ethyl acetate (7:3) eluent resulted polar and non-polar compounds. Some polar compounds showed positive results when reacted with ninhydrin, this was indicated by purplish stains which suggests the existence of peptide bonds among the compounds. Therefore, it can be concluded that Bacillus sp. TSR 6 is potential to produce compounds with antibacterial activity against Dickeya sp. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to find out the role of interactive multimedia (IM) that represents teaching materials and are uploaded on Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle in Embryology learning with Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework, in improving the concept mastery of prospective Biology teachers. This study involved two classes of students who were having an Embryology course contract, consisting of 47 students (class A) and 49 students (class B). The learning was conducted using the blended learning method that integrates e-learning and inclass learning. The IM uploaded into the LMS Moodle which can be accessed through the internet in the implementation of e-learning. The roles of IM and LMS Moodle were determined through a comparison of the increase in mastery of the Embryology concepts between class A and class B, which was tested with the t-test. The results of this study show nonsignificant differences in the increase of Embryology concept mastery. Thus, it can be concluded that the IM and LMS Moodle in TPACK framework is more involved and reduce the role of teacher assistance in determining the success of learning. This study aims to determine the increase in the understanding achievement in senior high school students through the Learning Cycle 7E with technology based constructivist teaching approach (TBCT). This study uses a pretest-posttest control group design. The participants were 67 high school students of eleventh grade in Garut city with two class in control and experiment class. Experiment class applying the Learning Cycle 7E through TBCT approach and control class applying the 7E Learning Cycle through Constructivist Teaching approach (CT). Data collection tools from mechanical wave concept test with totally 22 questions with reability coefficient was found 0,86. The findings show the increase of the understanding achievement of the experiment class is in the amount of 0.51 was higher than the control class that is in the amount of 0.33. Interactive Multimedia assisted by an HPLC simulator has been developed as an alternative media in Instrumental Analytical Chemistry Practicum lectures. Research has been conducted to determine the extent to which multimedia that has been developed is effective in increasing mastery of concepts, analytical thinking skills, and student responses. The research method is Quasi-experiment with One group pre-test and post-test design. The instruments used in this study include test and non-test instruments in the form of student satisfaction questionnaires and observation of learning outcomes. The results showed the use of interactive multimedia HPLC assisted by an HPLC simulators increased students' mastery of concepts with an average N-gain of 0.44 (moderate). The results of students' analytical thinking skills increased with an average N-gain of 0.48 (medium). The percentage of students with analytical thinking skills on indicators of matching, classifying, analyzing errors, generalizing, and specifying are 94%, 85%, 71%, 70%, and 59%, respectively. Students give a positive response to this learning. The index of student satisfaction with the use of IMM HPLC is 87.25% (very good). The limitations of learning methods during the Covid-19 pandemic have made IMM HPLC a learning alternative that attracts students' interest and motivation because in addition to containing material descriptions and videos, it is also equipped with practice questions whose results can be immediately known. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Physics teacher's guide e-book based on multimodal representation and Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) to improving teachers' ICT literacy. Given the important role of technology in the learning process, especially in the current Covid-19 pandemic era. The research method used was an experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. This study involved 61 in-service physics teachers and 40 pre-service teachers as participants who were taken by purposive sampling. The instruments used include ICT literacy test questions on the knowledge aspect, and a four-scale questionnaire. Physics teacher guide e-book used in this study is in the form of an e-Pub which can display simulation and animation videos that can be accessed by teachers in offline conditions. The analysis of ICT literacy data was carried out by IBM SPSS.20 software. The results showed that the Physics teacher guide e-book was effective in increasing teachers' ICT literacy. This product has a greater impact on the increase in literacy compared to the teacher's commonly used books. In addition, the results of the questionnaire data analysis showed that the teacher's response stated that they strongly agreed with the Physics teacher guide e-book that was developed to improve ICT literacy. The purpose of this study to determine the profile of habits of mind skills for teachers who teach biology subject in secondary school. The method used in the study is a survey method with samples is all of ten, eleven, and twelve class teacher who teach biology subjects in Pasundan senior high school in the city of Bandung with 20 people. The habits of mind aspects or indicators used in this study are the habits of mind category developed by Marzano (1993) which covers: critical thinking skill, creative thinking skill, and self-regulation skill. Research data is collected using the habits of mind skill questionnaire and an interview sheet. The type of data will be obtained in the form of qualitative data which will be processed using a Likert Scale calculation. The data is then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques.
