Trace-level detection of isopropanol is important for human health monitoring and air quality surveillance. In this work, we report synthesis of high surface area two-dimensional (2D) nanoflakes of CuAl 2 O 4 using surfactant-assisted hydrothermal process and its application in ppb level detection of isopropanol. X-ray diffraction revealed the polycrystalline nature of the spinel and a nano crystallite size of 42 nm. The 2D morphology of CuAl 2 O 4 was confirmed using field emission scanning electron microscope whereas BET revealed the mesoporous nature and a high surface area of 41.8 m2g-1. The surface oxidation states of the material were found through X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The 2D CuAl 2 O 4 demonstrated excellent sensing towards isopropanol with its response varying from 11.8 to 84.5 % (500 ppb–10 ppm) at 300 °C. The limit of detection of the spinel was found to be 56 ppb at its optimum operating temperature of 300 °C. In addition, the sensing layer was found to have response times in range 1101 s for 500 ppb to 168 s for 10 ppm and recovery times in the range 300 s for 500 ppb to 570 s for 10 ppm. The present research focuses on the electrical properties of lead-free piezoceramics (0.985- x)(K 0.485 Na 0.485 Li 0.03)(Nb 0.96 Sb 0.04)O 3 -0.015(Bi 0.5 Na 0.5)ZrO 3 - x SnO 2 (KNNLS-BNZ- x SnO 2 , x = 0.003, 0.006, 0.009, 0.012, and 0.015). This study examines the influence of varying SnO 2 doping levels on the microstructure and piezoelectric properties of the ceramics. All the ceramics prepared demonstrate pure perovskite structure without any secondary phases. The Rietveld refinement analysis of XRD data reveals the existence of multiphase evolution around room temperature. The tetragonality (c/a) and cell volume of the ceramics tend to rise with an increase in Sn4+ content, potentially leading to improved ferroelectric characteristics. The optimum values obtained were Curie temperature (T c) = 395 oC, remnant polarization (P r) = 21.07 μC/cm2, piezoelectric coefficient (d 33)=357 pC/N, piezoelectric voltage constant (g 33) = 24 × 10−3 Vm/N, and figure of merit (FOM off) = 10.34 pm2/N, corresponding to the ceramic doped with x = 0.012 SnO 2. The findings indicate that an optimal amount of Sn4+ in the host composition KNNLS-BNZ improves piezoelectric properties by constructing an R-O-T phase boundary near room temperature. This study suggests that the ceramic with x = 0.012 SnO 2 exhibits a favorably high T c coupled with an exceptional energy harvesting capability, making it a suitable candidate for energy harvesting applications. In this work, an attempt is made for improving the piezoelectric properties of a lead-free (Na 0. 5 K 0. 4 8 5 Li 0. 0 1 5) (Nb 0. 9 8 V 0. 0 2) O3 ceramic system by doping manganese in it. The Rietveld analysis of XRD micrographs of the ceramics indicates the samples crystallizing into 99.86% of orthorhombic phase and very small traces of tetragonal phase around room temperature. The Curie temperature ( T c ) is hardly affected by the incorporation of Mn 4 + into the system. At the manganese concentration of 0.02 wt.%, the ceramic system attains the peak values in its density, dielectric constant at room temperature ( ε RT ), planar electromechanical coefficient ( k p) , piezoelectric coefficient ( d 3 3 ), and remnant polarization ( P r ). The optimum piezoelectric properties of k p = 4 3 % and d 3 3 = 1 9 3 pC/N are observed for this composition. The study reveals that the modification of (Na 0. 5 K 0. 4 8 5 Li 0. 0 1 5 ) (Nb 0. 9 8 V 0. 0 2) O3 with an appropriate quantity of Mn 4 + can produce the desired changes in the crystallographic properties and densification so as to eventually improve its piezoelectric properties. The cozero-divisor graph Γ ′ (R) of a finite commutative ring R with unity is a simple undirected graph with the set of all nonzero nonunits of R as vertices and two vertices x and y are adjacent if and only if x ∉ y R and y ∉ x R. In this paper, we study structural properties of Γ ′ (R) by defining an equivalence relation on its vertex set in terms of principal ideals of the ring R. Then we obtain the universal adjacency eigenpairs of Γ ′ (R) and its complement, and as a consequence one may obtain several spectra like the adjacency, Seidel, Laplacian, signless Laplacian, normalized Laplacian, generalized adjacency and convex linear combination of the adjacency and degree diagonal matrix of Γ ′ (R) and Γ ′ (R) ¯ in an unified way. ABSTRACT This is a comment on the paper of Singh et al. (Geological Journal, 2024:1–20) on Strontium isotope stratigraphy of marine Oligocene–Miocene sedimentary successions of Kutch Basin, western India. Kutch hosts stratotypes of some lithostratigraphic and chronostratigraphic units of India. In this study, the Sr‐isotope estimated ages of the studied formations deviate significantly from their known ages based on biostratigraphy. The authors have not validated the interpreted ages with biostratigraphy. We believe a scrupulous screening of samples and validation of Sr‐isotope data with biostratigraphy are two essential requirements of Sr‐isotope stratigraphy. Unfortunately, Singh et al. made a new contribution to Kutch stratigraphy that falls short of meeting both conditions, leading to incorrect ages of the regional chronostratigraphic units of India. Sweet corn (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt.) is a horticultural commodity that has a fairly high nutritional content such as fiber, calories, vitamins, minerals. Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (2018) the average sweet corn production in East Java in 2017 was 5.04 tons/ha, while the potential yield of sweet corn could reach 25 tons/ha. So it is necessary to make efforts to increase the production of sweet corn. The aim of this study was to obtain the optimum dose of inorganic N fertilizer and combination of organic N doses for the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt.).The study was conducted using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the dose of inorganic N fertilizer consisting of 3 levels: F1 = 100% inorganic N fertilizer; F2 = 75 % inorganic N fertilizer; F3 = 50% inorganic N fertilizer. The second factor is inorganic N sources consisting of 4 levels: P1 = Manure 10 t ha-1; P2 = Manure 20 t ha-1; P3 = Manure 10 t ha-1 + PGPR P4 = Manure 20 t ha-1 + PGPR. The results showed that there was no interaction between the doses of inorganic N fertilizer and the combined doses of organic N. Separately, the dose of inorganic N fertilizer had a significant effect on the variables of plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, chlorophyll content, cob weight, and sweetness level. The application of inorganic N fertilizer of 75% resulted in a higher weight of sweet corn cobs per hectare of 17.52 tonnes ha-1. The combination of organic N doses had a significant effect on the variables of plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, chlorophyll content, cob weight, and sweetness level. Application of 10 tons ha-1 of manure + 10 ml-1 PGPR resulted in a higher weight of sweet corn cobs per hectare of 17.16 tons ha-1. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Poor menstrual hygiene practices are one of the major public health problems in Nepal. Due to persistent taboos and socio-cultural constraints, adolescent girls are often unaware of scientific facts, knowledge, and practices related to menstrual hygiene. This paper aims to assess the effects of health education intervention on menstrual hygiene knowledge and practices among adolescent girls in Pokhara Metropolitan, Nepal. Materials and methods: A true experimental study was conducted in two government basic schools in Pokhara Metropolitan, Nepal. The study population was adolescent girls who had attended the menarche. Firstly, a pretest with the help of a self-administered questionnaire was done to find out the socio-demographic information, knowledge and practices of menstrual hygiene. Next, health education sessions were conducted among the intervention group. Finally, after one month of intervention, a post-test was conducted among the intervention and non-intervention group. Data analysis was done through descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The findings showed significant improvement in the knowledge and practice level of adolescent girls on menstrual hygiene after health education intervention. Participants in the intervention group showed a significant increase in knowledge scores from 10.0% to 67.0%, while the non-intervention group remained unchanged at 7.5%. Good menstrual hygiene practices scores in the intervention group increased significantly from 22.5% to 67.0%, whereas the non-intervention group saw a slight rise from 20.0% to 22.5%. Regarding observed practice scores in menstrual hygiene, significant improvement was observed in the intervention group (45.0% to 100.0%) in contrast to the non-intervention group (25.0% to 27.5%). Conclusions: This study highlights the crucial role of school health education interventions in promoting menstrual hygiene among adolescent girls. It emphasizes the importance of comprehensive educational programs tailored to early teenage girls, addressing timing, content, and delivery methods alongside ensuring the availability of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities. Background: Hyperphosphatemia has been emphasized to be a significant risk factor for vascular calcification in CKD patients. This study aims to investigate the effect of magnesium supplementation on the reduction of phosphate levels and carotid intima media thickness in children as predictor on vascular calcification with CKD and hyperphosphatemia, compared to a placebo. Methods: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was conducted at Pediatric Ward and Outpatient Clinic of Pediatric Nephrology in our setting during October-March 2023. We compared oral magnesium supplementation (6 mg/kg body weight/day for two months) with a placebo in children with CKD and hyperphosphatemia (ages 1-18 years old). Patients who were on dialysis and had serum magnesium levels of <1.6 mg/dL and >2.4 mg/dL, and were allergic to magnesium supplementation were excluded. A paired T-test and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test were used for statistical analysis. Results: We collected 25 children in the experimental group and 25 children in the placebo group. Phosphate levels were decreased in both the magnesium supplementation and placebo groups (6.1 ± 0.79 to 6.0 ± 0.63 mg/dL; p-value = 0.852 and 6.01 ± 0.55 to 5.8 ± 0.64 mg/dL; p-value=0.365). However, when compared between groups, the reductions were not significantly different (0.1 vs 0.21; p-value=0.935). A significant improvement was found in carotid intima media thickness in both groups (0.05±0.01 to 0.05±0.01; p-value=0.000 and 0.05±0.01 to 0.05±0.01; p-value=0.000), and the reductions were significantly different (0.01 vs 0.01; p-value=0.000). Conclusion: Magnesium supplements have considerably lower phosphate levels and significantly reduced the thickness on carotid intima media in children with CKD and hyperphosphatemia. In this work, we initiate the study of diversity of solutions in the context of fair division of indivisible goods. In particular, we explore the notions of disjoint, distinct and symmetric allocations and study their complexity in terms of the fairness notions of envy-freeness and equitability up to one item. We show that for binary valuations, the above problems are polynomial time solvable. In contrast we show NP-hardness of disjoint and symmetric case, when the valuations are additive. Biofilm development in gram negative bacterial contaminants in water supply systems is linked to persistence as well as antibiotic resistance, which threatens water quality and hence the public health. This study aimed to investigate phenotypic and genetic capacity of biofilm formation by Escherichia coli isolated from supply water with their antibiotic susceptibility pattern. Altogether fifty water samples collected from a city supply water distribution scheme in Kathmandu were analyzed to assess the physicochemical and microbiological quality. Comparing Nepal's national drinking water quality standards 2022, conductivity (4%), turbidity (18%), iron (28%), and residual chlorine (8%) were found exceeding the values above the standards. Among total, 40% of water samples were contaminated with total coliform bacteria. E. coli and Citrobacter species were dominant and isolated from 20 (64.52%) and 11 (35.48%) water samples, respectively. Antibiotic susceptibility testing revealed that E. coli isolates were resistant to ampicillin (20%), nitrofurantoin (10%), and cefotaxime (10%). Citrobacter spp. (54.54%) were found multidrug resistant (MDR) while none of the isolates of E. coli were MDR. Of total, 45% of the isolates developed biofilm while testing with the Microtiter plate method. Biofilm‐forming genes bcsA and csgD in E. coli isolates were detected with polymerase chain reaction (PCR) employing specific primers. bcsA and csgD genes were detected in 55% and 45% of the isolates, respectively. This study confirms the occurrences of biofilm forming and antibiotic resistant bacteria like E. coli in the drinking water supply system in Kathmandu alarming its environmental circulation and possible public health threat. Although further study is warranted, this study suggests public health and drinking water treatment interventions to mitigate the biofilm forming antibiotic resistant potential pathogens from supply water in Kathmandu, Nepal. This study aimed to evaluate the slope instability and failure patterns of four major landslides of the Giri Valley, Northwest Himalaya. The study area i.e., Giri valley has not been studied much despite a history of frequent landslides in the region. In order to fulfill this gap and evaluate the potential failure pattern, methodology involved a comprehensive analysis of Rock Mass Rating (RMR), Kinematic Analysis (KA), Slope Mass Rating (SMR), Geotechnical characterization (GA), and Limit Equilibrium Method (LEM). Results revealed that the all four landslide slopes exhibit pronounced fracturing and low Rock Quality Designation (RQD) in the rock masses, which is attributed to their spatial proximity to the Main Boundary Thrust (MBT) Fault in the region. The RMR values ranged from 28 to 38 and the SMR values ranged from 20 to 30, implying that the rock itself might not be too weak, but there could be other factors contributing to instability. The Kinematic Analysis revealed planar failure conditions in all the four landslides, indicating the possibility of landslides occurrence along well-defined planes of weakness in the rock mass. Further, The LEM based Factor of Safety (FOS) values ranged from 0.9 to 1.4, which can be attributed to a critical state, where even a small increase in driving forces or decrease in resisting forces could trigger a landslide. The low FOS values indicate a potential for instability, and mitigation measures may be necessary to ensure slope stability in the region. These measures could include slope reinforcement, drainage improvement, or restricting activities that could increase the driving forces on the slopes. These methods can be regionally replicable if the rock mass characteristics are similar across the region. However, site-specific data collection and analysis are crucial for accurate assessment. Ripersiella multiporifera is a root mealybug species within the family Rhizoecidae that has distinctive bitubular pores on the dorsal and ventral. This species was first discovered by Jansen (2008) in the Netherlands during an import interception of Sansevieria sp. from Indonesia and Hoya kerrii from Thailand. This species was also found during inspections in Sicily (Italy) on the roots of Sansevieria trifasciata. In Indonesia, there are no reports of the existence of R. multiporifera, emphasising the need for research on its presence. This work was conducted the morphological method based on modified determination key and the molecular method based on MtCOI gene. The identified species was R. multiporifera, and this finding represents the first evidence of R. multiporifera's presence in Bali (Indonesia) which can be used as a reference for future research, especially in population control approaches. To address this challenge, this study aims to investigate the factors influencing the purchase intention of Somethinc products. Research data were obtained through an online survey involving 200 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the SmartPLS 4 analysis tool. The results show that Product Innovation does not affect purchase intention, while green marketing and brand awareness influence purchase intention. Public Accounting is one of the leading courses and programs in Indonesia. However, current data shows that the number of accounting professionals in Indonesia is very small compared to the population.Therefore, it is necessary to make students aware of bookkeeping. The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of accounting students' opinions about the accounting profession on their interest in the accounting profession. A sample of accounting students in the 6th and 8th semesters of the accounting curriculum in Swadaya Gunung Jat University were used as respondents. Research results show that the career choices of undergraduate students are more influenced by student interest variables and accounting majors and hard and soft skills do not seem to affect career choice of undergraduate students in accounting. The manufacturing industry is currently experiencing a shift towards sustainability-driven practices and principles. Company X is one of those who want to improve their competitiveness in the manufacturing industry by implementing sustainability. However, this company experiences obstacles in its production process because production targets still need to be achieved owing to product defects that average 8.97%. This study used the sustainable lean manufacturing approach to help the company to achieve more competitive goals by reducing waste and pollution and creating more efficient production processes. The tools used in this research were process activity mapping (PAM), sustainable value stream mapping (SVSM), and the sustainability index (SI). Based on calculations with sustainability indicators, the company’s SI results amounted to 183%. The proposed improvements were given to improve the company’s efficiency and to reduce its SI. After repairs had been made, the SI value was reduced to 118%. With the improvement in that value, production efficiency has also improved: the process cycle efficiency (PCE) value has become 90.49%, which means that the company’s production process has become more efficient. In the hydrodynamical description of heavy-ion collisions, the elliptic flow v 2 and triangular flow v 3 are sensitive to the quadrupole deformation β 2 of the colliding nuclei. We produce v 2 and v 3 ratios qualitatively and quantitatively in most-central Xe–Xe collisions at 5.44 TeV. By employing HYDJET++ model, we study the sensitivity of anisotropic flow coefficients and mean transverse momentum to the quadrupole deformation and system-size in isotopic Xe–Xe collisions. Flow observables strongly depend on the strength of nucleon–nucleon scattering occurring in even-A and odd-A nuclei. Flow for odd-A nuclei is suppressed in comparison to flow in even-A collisions. There exists a linear inter-dependence between p T integrated anisotropic flow and nuclear deformation. Mean transverse momentum signifies the fireball temperature in body–body and tip–tip collisions. There exists a negative linear correlation of ⟨ p T ⟩ with collision system-size and a positive correlation with nuclear deformation. Flow measurements in high-energy, heavy-ion collisions using isotopic collision systems, offer a new precision tool to study nuclear structure physics. The ceramic oxide Na2Ba2Pr2W2Ti4Nb4O30 (NBPWTN) is prepared by a mechanical mixed oxide route. The compound formation and the phase are concluded from the x‐ray diffraction pattern taken at room temperature (XRD). The uniform distribution of grains of various sizes with negligible voids is studied from scanning electron micrograph of the sample pellet. The presence of dielectric dispersion and ferroelectric phase in the material is observed from the temperature‐dependent dielectric parameters at selected frequencies. The existence of ferroelectricity in the material is further confirmed by the room temperature hysteresis loop. Impedance spectroscopic studies informed about the correlation between the microstructure and electrical behavior. The frequency variation of AC conductivity refers to Jonscher's law. The temperature variation of frequency exponent term n indicates OLPT (overlapping large polaron‐tunneling) model of the conduction mechanism in the sample. NBPWTN is a strong candidate for applications involving thermistor‐related devices because of the temperature dependency of resistance. The value of temperature sensitivity coefficient β in our investigation is achieved between 2000 and 11 000 K, confirming that the material has a high‐temperature stability property and is ideal for high‐temperature electronics applications. Vibrio parahaemolyticus is the leading cause of seafood-borne gastroenteritis in humans worldwide. The major virulence factor responsible for the enteropathogenicity of this pathogen is type III secretion system 2 (T3SS2), which is encoded on the 80-kb V. parahaemolyticus pathogenicity island (Vp-PAI), the gene expression of which is governed by the OmpR-family transcriptional regulator VtrB. Here, we found a positive autoregulatory feature of vtrB transcription, which is often observed with transcriptional regulators of bacteria, but the regulation was not canonically dependent on its own promoter. Instead, this autoactivation was induced by heterogeneous transcripts derived from the VtrB-regulated operon upstream of vtrB. VtrB-activated transcription overcame the intrinsic terminator downstream of the operon, resulting in transcription read-through with read-in transcription of the vtrB gene and thus completing the autoregulatory loop for vtrB gene expression. The dampening of read-through transcription with an exogenous strong terminator reduced vtrB gene expression. Furthermore, a V. parahaemolyticus mutant with defects in the vtrB autoregulatory loop also showed compromises in T3SS2 expression and T3SS2-dependent cytotoxicity in vitro and enterotoxicity in vivo, indicating that this autoregulatory loop is essential for sustained vtrB activation and the consequent robust expression of T3SS2 genes for pathogenicity. Taken together, these findings demonstrate that the regulatory loop for vtrB gene expression based on read-through transcription from the upstream operon is a crucial pathway in T3SS2 gene regulatory network to ensure T3SS2-mediated virulence of V. parahaemolyticus. Author summary: Many bacterial transcription factors undergo autoregulation, a process by which transcription factors regulate their own transcription to amplify or reduce the output responses to a changing environment. The common mode of such autoregulation is achieved by the transcription factor acting on its own promoter. In this study, we found that VtrB, a virulence regulator of the T3SS2 genes of the major food-borne pathogen Vibrio parahaemolyticus, autoregulates its own expression but independently of its own promoter. We also demonstrated how this autoregulation occurs: VtrB activates transcription of the upstream operon and transcription extends to the vtrB gene over the relatively less effective intrinsic terminator. Read-through transcription thus underlies the autoregulatory loop of vtrB expression. Moreover, this autoregulation was essential for the amplification of V. parahaemolyticus T3SS2 expression and induction of the full virulence of this pathogen. Together, our findings not only offer new insights into how V. parahaemolyticus controls its virulence gene expression to ensure pathogenicity but also provide a framework for further exploring the analogous mechanisms for the autoactivation of transcription factor gene expression in bacteria. Electrochemical water splitting, which is a highly promising and environmentally friendly technology for H2 fuel production, faces significant hurdles due to the sluggish kinetics of the oxygen evolution reaction. Co -based oxides have garnered significant attention as alternative catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction owing to the Co2+/Co3+ redox couple. Enhancing the challenging Co2+ → Co3+ oxidation process can further improve the catalytic oxygen evolution reaction. The aim of our work was to design a Co3O4-based catalyst to enhance reactivity by increasing the number of Co3+ active sites, serving as an excellent platform for facilitating the oxygen evolution reaction. To drive the effectiveness of the catalyst, in this study, we synthesized Co3O4 anchored on CeO2 (Co3O4/CeO2). The kinetics and efficacy of the oxygen evolution reaction catalysed by Co3O4/CeO2 was significantly improved by aliovalent doping of Sr into Ce sites and Cu into Co sites. The reducible nature of Ce stimulates the formation of Co3+ ions, resulting in an increased production of intermediate –OOH species, thus expediting the reaction. The transformation of Co2+ to Co3+ consequently leads to an increase in anion vacancies, which, in turn, promotes the adsorption of more intermediate species at the active site. The Sr- and Cu-doped Co3O4/CeO2 catalyst exhibited a high current density of 200 mA cm−2 at 580 mV and a low overpotential of 297 mV at 10 mA cm−2. The study functions as a key indicator to establish a connection between oxygen vacancies and metal oxidation states in order to investigate the mechanistic aspects of the oxygen evolution reaction on mixed metal oxides. Moreover, this study is expected to pave the way for the development of innovative oxygen evolution reaction catalysts with reducible supports, thus offering a new pathway for their design. Lumbung Mataraman is a program initiated by the Provincial Government of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta to fulfill the community's food needs through home gardens. This program is also directed to become an alternative tourist destination with local potential. Lumbung Mataraman is managed by Women Farmers Group (Kelompok Wanita Tani or KWT) Mekar and as part of Empon-empon Village. Location of the activities takes place in Ngalian, Widodomartani Village, D.I. Yogyakarta. The arrangement of Lumbung Mataram aims to arrange the layout of the land according to its function and enhance its appearance. The output is Lumbung Mataram KWT Mekar site plan. The site plan creation process follows landscape design procedures involving site inventory or collecting existing data; analysis of site potential and problems; synthesis or problem-solving; and the development of design concepts and design. The rearrangement of Lumbung Mataraman remains the same as its existing function but focuses on maximizing the utilization of existing potential and adding aesthetic value. Introduction: In the medical field, particularly in areas like plastic aesthetic surgery and cosmetology, social media has emerged as a convenient and interactive means of educating and promoting the services of doctors, hospitals, and institutions. However, there remains a pressing need for further research to thoroughly understand the influence of social media on plastic surgery procedures. This study aims to review the literature on the current facets of social media that impact patients' decision-making in aesthetic plastic surgery. Methods: Database PubMed was used for the search terms: "plastic surgery," aesthetic, and “social media". Publication time ranges were set from 2019 until 2023. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) were used to help arrange this literature review. Result: Thirteen records were included in this study. The studies uniformly emphasize the effectiveness of social media as a communication tool between doctors and patients or social media users. Popular platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter are widely used, varying based on factors like country, age, and gender. These platforms enable the global spread of education and information about plastic aesthetic surgery, effectively reaching a diverse audience. Conclusion : Social media serves as a platform for disseminating educational content, promoting professional work, engaging with the wider public community, and facilitating patient-doctor interactions in the decision-making process for plastic aesthetic surgery. Background: Tylophora indica (Burm. f.) Merr is a climbing perennial plant reported in Indian traditional system of medicine for its use in allergy and asthma. However, only few scientific studies have been performed in the past to validate its antiasthmatic potential. Objectives: The present study deals with investigation of airway smooth muscle relaxant and antiasthmatic potential of extract and subsequent fractions prepared from T. indica. Methods: The most active fraction of T. indica leaves selected through bio‐guided activity was subjected to liquid chromatography‐mass spectrometry (LC–MS) analysis for chemical profiling. The binding affinity of identified compounds in fraction towards M3 and H1 receptors was determined by molecular docking study. F‐2 (chloroform fraction prepared from methanolic extract of T. indica leaves) was examined for its smooth muscle relaxant properties using isolated trachea of guinea‐pig. Further, F‐2 was evaluated through in vivo studies employing ovalbumin‐induced asthma model in guinea‐pigs. Results: F‐2 was found most effective in bioassay‐guided fractionation. Characterization by LC–MS analysis revealed presence of five major bioactive compounds in F‐2 that showed good docking interactions with M3 and H1 receptors. The ex vivo study demonstrated that F‐2 could significantly relax tracheal rings via targeting multiple signalling pathways videlicet, namely, noncompetitive antagonism of the histamine and muscarinic receptors, β2‐adrenergic stimulation and activation of soluble guanylyl cyclase. In in vivo studies, F‐2 ameliorated airway hyperresponsiveness and decreased broncho alveolar lavage fluid (BALF) levels of inflammatory cytokines and immunoglobulin E (IgE). The motions of the liquid within the Earth's outer core lead to magnetic field variations together with mass distribution changes. As the core is not accessible for direct observation, our knowledge of the Earth's liquid core dynamics only relies on indirect information sources. Mainly generated by the core dynamics, the surface geomagnetic field provides information about the variations of the fluid motion at the top of the core. The dynamic of the fluid core is also associated with mass distribution changes inside the core and produces gravitational field time fluctuations. By applying several statistical blind source separation methods to both the gravity and magnetic field time series, we investigate the common space–time variabilities. We report several robust interannual oscillations shared by the two observation sets. Among those, a common mode of around 7 years looks very significant. Whereas the nature of the driving mechanism of the coupled variability remains unclear, the spatial and temporal properties of the common signal are compatible with a core origin. DHTKD1 is a nuclear gene that encodes "dehydrogenase E1 and transketolase domain-containing 1", essential in mitochondrial metabolism. First identified in the patients of 2-amino-apidic and 2 oxoapidic aciduria, mutation in this gene has recently been implicated in CMT2Q and ALS. Here we report the case of a septuagenarian who presented with a 2 years progressive history of respiratory and neck muscle weakness without significant bulbar and limb involvement. Clinical and electrophysiological examination revealed lower motor neuron involvement with widespread chronic denervation and reinnervation. Clinical exome sequencing revealed a heterozygous nonsense variant in exon 8 of the DHTKD1 gene, which was previously described in CMT2Q. This report highlights the pleotropic phenotypic presentation of DHTKD1 mutation and the need for genetic testing even in sporadic cases of ALS presenting at a later age. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Poor nutritional status of female adolescents does not only have an impact on themselves but also have an impact on the next generation. Food intake and dietary quality are important to support nutritional status during adolescence. This study aims to determine the relationship between food intake and dietary quality with nutritional status of female adolescent in Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia. Methods: This research was an observational study using a cross-sectional design. The subjects of this study were female adolescents aged 12-18 years with a total sample of 222 people. Data of food intake and dietary quality were measured using recall method, while nutritional status data were calculated using BMI for Age Z scores (BAZ). A linear regression model was used to predict the relationship of food intake and dietary quality to the nutritional status of female adolescents. Results: The average BAZ was 0.1±1.0, with an average dietary quality of 34.6±6.6%. The average energy intake was 1507.9±472.3 kcal, protein 32.4±11.0 g, carbohydrates 258.6±84.4 g, fat 44.9±19.9 g and fiber 3.88±2.7 g. Food intake (energy, protein, and fiber) and dietary quality were related to nutritional status (BAZ) in female adolescents (p<0.05). Conclusion: The balance of food intake and dietary quality is important to maintain the nutritional status of female adolescent properly. Background & Method: The aim of the study is to estimate the prevalence of anaemia in the geriatric population in and around Jabalpur district and to prospectively study the various haematological patterns of anaemia in age group. Result: The representation of various symptoms shown by the anaemia elderly; being easy fatiguability the most common in around 76%, followed by shortness of breath, palpitation, headache & tinnitus. A small 3% elderly were immobile, bed ridden. 104(84%) elderly had more than one or combination of symptoms while only 20(16%) came up with a single symptom. Showing etiologic distribution of anaemia elderly. Maximum number of anaemia elderly 28(23%) had Iron deficiency anaemia which had maximum no. due to nutritional deficiency. It was followed by Anaemia of chronic disease with 24(19%), then anaemia of chronic kidney disease in 21(17%). Conclusion: This study was aimed to search for the fact behind this generalised dictum that senility or old age comes with its varied presentation of anaemia. Symptoms like easy fatiguability, shortness of breath and weakness should not be attributed as just signs of aging and thorough investigations must be planned to identify their actual cause. It was found in my study that a single elderly can present with a single or multiple signs and symptoms of anaemia. In our study we concluded that anaemia in almost each elderly has a definable and treatable cause. Also, the haemoglobin levels must not vary due to age alone in the fit and fine elderly. A cause for the decrease in haemoglobin should always be sought after and anaemia must be typed in every elderly. According to the data that show rising prevalence of elderly population, it is need of the hour that physicians should give greater attention to diagnose and treat the common causes of anaemia, that may lead to increased morbidity and mortality in this age group. Hence, my prospective study has documented that in most cases of anaemia in elderly there is a treatable cause present and it can be easily cured with early diagnosis and management. On the opposite end, failure to type and diagnose anaemia in early phase may lead to delayed diagnosis of potentially treatable causes and thus increased morbidity and mortality. Background: Scrub typhus is a potentially fatal acute febrile illness caused by bacteria in the genus Orientia. Though cases have been documented, a comprehensive body of evidence has not previously been compiled to give an overview of scrub typhus in Indonesia. This study aimed to address this key knowledge gap by mapping and ranking geographic areas based on existing data on the presence or absence of the pathogen in humans, vectors, and host animals. Methodology/principal findings: We performed searches on local and international electronic databases, websites, libraries, and collections including Embase, Medline, and Scopus to gather relevant evidence (including grey literature). After extracting data on the presence and absence of the pathogen and its vectors, we ranked the evidence based on the certainty for the presence of human infection risk. The country was divided into subnational units, and each were assigned a score based on the evidence available for that unit. We presented this in an evidence map. Orientia tsutsugamushi presence has been identified on all the main islands (Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Celebes, Papua). About two thirds of the data points were collected before 1946. South Sumatra and Biak had the strongest evidence for sustaining infectious vectors. There was only one laboratory confirmed case in a human identified but 2,780 probable cases were documented. The most common vector was Leptotrombidium deliense. Conclusions/significance: Our review highlights the concerning lack of data on scrub typhus in Indonesia, the fourth most populous country in the world. The presence of seropositive samples, infected vectors and rodents confirm O. tsutsugamushi is widespread in Indonesia and likely to be causing significant morbidity and mortality. There is an urgent need to increase surveillance to better understand the burden of the disease across the archipelago and to inform national empirical fever treatment guidelines. Geoinformatics is spatial information based on characteristics and analysis regarding spatial data. Water is the main component of human life with clean water, especially drinking water found from various sources, including spring water. Water quality is a global standard as a chemical, physical, and biological parameter. The study aims to determine the potential spring water based on spatial analysis of water quality standards for potential use. The method used to determine the potential utilization of springs using geographic information system analysis. Data is based on the difference in height, slope, and distance from springs to settlements and discharge. Water quality samples are analyzed using mobile and laboratory tests. The result found that physical parameters from five locations, Sirah Citanggulun, Cikerebek, Cijati, Cijati 2, and Galumpit, have good quality to meet the utilization requirements, especially for water designation class. Chemically parameters, water quality, is relatively good based on several parameters such as pH, Nitrite, dissolved iron, and zinc, which do not exceed the required quality standard threshold. The biological parameters, five samples are contaminated by bacteria Escherichia coli and total coliform. Regarding the literature review, this research found that biological contaminants are unsuitable for drinking water, but it is still good to become another used. The research concluded that the spring water in a small village could become potential uses for drinking water based on the parameter of water quality for daily use, especially for drinking water, regarding biological parameters that spring water must be boiled to drink. Context: In this work, the corrosion inhibitive effect of acetoxime derivative of zinc chloride, (ZnCl2.2HON=C(CH3)2) (ZA), was investigated on mild steel in epoxy/polyamide coating. ZA was used to modify diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) to yield novel anticorrosive coating (epoxy-ZA) with excellent barrier characteristic. The dispersal of ZA may lead to the formation of Zn–O–C and O–Zn–O linkages in the polymer framework which act as inorganic fillers producing a dense structure of hybrid coating. In electrochemical findings, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and Tafel polarization (TP) indicate higher protection efficiency for epoxy-ZA coatings (99.99 and 99.93 % for EIS and TP, respectively) as compared to others. Using surface analysis and electrochemical data, it was concluded that an inhibition synergy was developed when ZA was taken instead of acetoxime or zinc chloride (ZC) alone in the coating formulation. Methods: Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) was used to investigate epoxy interaction with zinc compounds and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to investigate morphology of the samples. To reinforce the experimental results, reactivity of crosslinked epoxy and epoxy-ZA coatings with metallic surface was also explored using density functional theory (DFT) with basis set B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) and molecular dynamics (MD) methods by using Forcite module. In this study the porous composites, in-situ TiO2-g-C3N4 (in-situ TiO2-g-CN), was fabricated by in-situ generation of TiO2 from titanium tetra-oximate during thermal polymerisation of urea into gC3N4. For comparison, TiO2-g-C3N4 composite (TiO2-g-CN) and g-C3N4 (gCN) were also prepared by decomposition of urea in the presence and absence of TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs), respectively. The synthesised composites were characterised by FT-IR, SEM-EDX, TGA, and XRD analyses. The analyses of the samples revealed that the particle size of the composites decreases with the addition of TiO2 precursor, titanium tetra-oximate, during g-C3N4 Synthesis. A comparative study has been conducted on the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) dyes in the presence of in-situ TiO2-g-CN, TiO2-g-CN, and gCN under the solar spectrum. In the presence of in-situ TiO2-g-CN, 99.7% degradation of MB and 68.4% degradation of MO was observed within 100 min, and it is superior as compared to TiO2-g-CN and gCN. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Personal Growth Initiative (PGI) helps individuals become mentally healthy because PGI is an active and conscious process by which individuals develop into better people. This study aims to determine the factors that form PGI in individuals at each stage of human development. The research subjects were 141 men and 256 women, taken by stratified random sampling. The research method used was a mixed method. Research data were collected using the PGI scale and analyzed using descriptive and correlational statistics; qualitative questions were analyzed using thematic analysis. Based on the results of the quantitative analysis, it is known that the more an individual matures, the better his PGI. In adolescence and middle adulthood, PGI is related to gender, while in early adulthood, it is related to education. The results of the qualitative analysis show that the personal growth initiatives forming factors in the participants' lives are religiosity, achievement goals, pro-sociality, social support, self-esteem, and personal responsibility. The physiological mechanisms conduction, convection, and radiation exchange the heat energy in bi-directional routes between the body and the temperature field. Metabolism and evaporation are the uni-directional routes for the exchange of heat energy. In the metabolic process, the body creates internal heat energy, whereas the body loses excess heat energy through the evaporation process and maintains the body temperature. This study has shown steady and unsteady state temperature distribution in three skin layers: epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue, during walking and marathon. The results have analyzed that each skin layer temperature is higher during a marathon compared with walking due to more metabolic effects. The uniformity of live weight in the early stage (DOC) is an indicator applied to evaluate the quality of brooding, raising, and growth management. This study aims to compare the live weight uniformity of DOC in three local breeds as a parental group, namely Merawang A and B (n:196), Murung Panggang (n:157), and KUB (n:416), as well as in five groups of Bulaksumur (BS) for crossbred group, namely BS-1 (n:136), BS-2 (n:76), BS-3 (n:106), BS-5 (n:81), BS-6 (n:164). The live weight data of DOC was obtained in Gunungkidul Regency under similar management. The results show that the BS groups had higher live weight (31.9 g ± 3.1) compared to Merawang A (24 g ± 3.1), Murung Panggang (28.2 g ± 2.3), and KUB (28.1 g ± 2.8). Furthermore, the live weight uniformity on the BS DOC averaged 71% across all groups, with the highest uniformity being BS-3 (87%). Murung Panggang had a higher live weight uniformity (82%) compared to Merawang A and B (42%, 64%) and KUB (63%). The average coefficient variance was less than 10%, except for Merawang A and BS-2 with 13.09% and 11.35%, respectively. In conclusion, the DOC of the crossbred (BS) was more uniform than its parental groups. Chlorantraniliprole belongsto theanthranilic diamide group is widely used against broad range of lepidopteron pests in a variety of vegetable and rice pests includingyellow rice stem borer and leaf folder. Supervised field trials were conducted duringRabi (2018–2019) and Kharif (2019) to evaluate the dissipation pattern and risk assessment of chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC in paddy ecosystem following foliar application at 30 and 60 g a.i. ha-1 in two different cropping seasons.Modified QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe) technique was used for the extraction of CAP residues with acetonitrile and determined by LC–MS/MS (ESI +).The limit of quantification (LOQ) was 0.01 µg g−1 for paddy leaf, straw, husk, and brown rice, respectively and 0.005 µg g−1 for soil. The average recoveries obtained were 84.30–88.92% from paddy leaf, 94.25–97.81% from straw, 90.21–93.38% from husk, 93.57–96.40% from brown rice and 89.93–91.14% from soil. The residues in paddy leaf dissipated within 35–40 days with a half-life of 4.33–5.07 days in Rabi and 3.92–4.86 days in Kharif at 30 and 60 g a.i. ha−1, respectively. The residues in soil dissipated within 15–21 days with a half-life of 14.44–15.75 days in Rabi and 13.33–14.44 days in Kharif at respective doses. At harvest chlorantraniliprole residues were not detected in straw, husk, and brown rice. The dietary risk of paddy leaf (green fodder) for cattle was found safe for consumption as the hazard index is less than one. Soil ecological risk assessment was found to be less than one (RQ < 0.1) for earthworms (Eisenia foetida) and arthropods (Aphidiusrhopalosiphi). Background. Central Nervous System (CNS) tumor is neoplasm that located in central nervous system, which include brain and medulla spinalis. Despite its significant raise of incidence and morbidities, limited epidemiological data was available. Therefore, this study aimed to describe the epidemiological characteristic of CNS tumor over a 3-year period in a single tertiary hospital in Bali, Indonesia. Methods. This study was a descriptive study with cross sectional design. This study included all patients aged 18 year or over who were histopathologically diagnosed with central nervous tumor at “Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital”, Denpasar, between January 2020 and December 2022. Data about age, gender, tumor location, histopathological type, tumor grading, and source of metastases in secondary CNS tumor were obtained from medical record. Result. A total of 221 cases were recorded during this study period. The prevalence of primary CNS tumor was 81.9% while secondary CNS tumor was 18.1%. The majority of case, both in primary and secondary CNS tumor were female in age group of 50-59. Supratentorial constituted the most common lesion site in primary and secondary CNS tumor. The most frequent histopathological type of primary CNS tumor was meningioma, making up 48.1% of cases, followed by diffuse astrocytic and oligodendroglial tumors (26.5%), and tumor of the cranial and paraspinal nerve (9.9%). Carcinoma is the most common histological type in secondary CNS tumor with lung and breast tumor being the majority source of secondary CNS tumor, found in 40% and 27.5%, respectively. Conclusion. Adult female with age of 50-59 is the most affected group in CNS tumor. Primary CNS tumor were commonly found in supratentorial with meningioma and WHO grade I being the most frequent histopathological type and grade. Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‑19) pandemic has reached a staggering number of almost 280 million cases worldwide, with over 5.4 million deaths as of 29 December 2021. A further understanding of the factors related to the household spread of the infection might help to bring about specific protocols to curb such transmission. Objective: This study aims to find the secondary attack rate (SAR) and factors affecting SAR among the households of mild COVID‑19 cases. Methods: An observational study was designed where data of patients admitted at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi due to mild COVID‑19 were collected, and outcome was noted after the discharge of the patient. Index cases who were the first in the household to have a positive infection only were included. Based on these data, the overall household SAR, factors related to the index case and contacts that affected transmissibility were noted. Results: A total of 60 index cases having contacts with 184 household members were included in the present study. The household SAR was measured to be 41.85%. At least one positive case was present in 51.67% households. Children below 18 years old had lower odds of getting a secondary infection compared to adults and elderly [odds ratio (OR) = 0.46, 95%CI = 0.22–0.94, p = 0.0383). An exposure period of more than a week was significantly associated with a higher risk of infection (p = 0.029). The rate of transmissibility drastically declined with effective quarantine measures adopted by the index case (OR = 0.13, 95%CI = 0.06–0.26, p < 0.00001). Symptomatic index cases contributed more to the SAR than asymptomatic primaries (OR = 4.74, 95%CI = 1.03–21.82, P = 0.045). Healthcare worker index cases had lower rates of spread (OR = 0.29, 95%CI = 0.15–0.58, P = 0.0003). Conclusion: The high SAR shows the household is a potential high‑risk unit for transmissibility of COVID‑19. Objective: We have developed a protocol for the systematic review and meta-analysis of the factors associated with nonadherence to antidepressants in depressive patients more than 18 years of age. Methods: We will search articles with the databases PubMed- Medline, Scopus, Embase and PsychINFO. All the published literature reporting factors associated with nonadherence to antidepressants in depressive disorders in patients more than 18 years of age and fulfilling all the eligibility criteria till October 2022 will be included. The data will then be extracted and examined to be included in the systematic review. Finally, we will conduct meta-analysis for factors associated with non-adherence. Conclusion: We will do extensive search on the proposed topic within the available literature and come up with a robust review of factors associated with nonadherence to antidepressants in patients age more than 18 years globally.
