This study aims to investigate the development of superior psychological functions of memory and imagination during role-play. The general aim of this research was to analyze the development of superior psychological functions of memory and imagination through participatory investigation. The research is based on historical-cultural psychology which encompasses a broad study on the development of superior psychological functions, considering that the process of cultural of the child is the foundation for the constitution of psychic functions. Based on this theoretical background, this qualitative research was conducted with the following methodological resources: participatory investigation and observation. Through the study, it was possible to broaden the theoretical discussion of how role-play was set up, even in moments of isolation and social distancing in the routine of Children's Education, contributing to the development of memory and imagination. [Display omitted] • Subcritical water extraction (SWE) of agroindustrial acerola by-product. • The temperature increase affected the results obtained by the SWE process. • UPLC untargeted analysis detected 16 metabolites in fresh and dry acerola by-product extracts. • SWE was able to extract ascorbic acid, kaempferol, quercetin, and isorhamnetin. • Strategy of studying different moisture contents in SWE showed promising results. The untargeted metabolomics approach was used to compare the chemical profiles of acerola (Malpighia emarginata DC.) pomace extracts. The effect of drying the raw material before subcritical water extraction (SWE) at different temperatures on the yield, phenolic content, and in vitro antioxidant activity was evaluated. The results were compared with those obtained via Soxhlet and the findings suggest that SWE saves time (15 min) and solvent for extracting valuable components as compared to Soxhlet (6 h). An increase in temperature significantly improved the extraction yield (23.9 to 33.4 %), phenolic content (119.1 to 362 mgGAEg−1), and antioxidant activity, and higher values were obtained with SWE as compared to Soxhlet. The most abundant compounds detected by UPLC-ESI-QTOF-MS were ascorbic acid, kaempferol, quercetin, and isorhamnetin. The investigation of different moisture contents in the SWE showed promising results for eliminating the drying operation, saving time and energy, and obtaining highly concentrated phenolic-rich by-products. The powers of the Family Health teams include the development of a local plan, with community participation, considering the peculiarities and health needs in each territory. Through a case study with a qualitative approach, we analyzed the local planning process into three teams, located in different program areas of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. The selection prioritized longer operation and stability in the composition of teams, considering the likelihood of greater internal integration and to their territories. All the professional teams and their regional supervisors participated. Data were collected through direct observation of meetings of teams and semi-structured interviews. We chose to approach content analysis with subject, using the theoretical categories of risk, vulnerability and participatory planning. The results showed a local planning process still in its infancy, no clear definition of common goals, criteria and underuse of recommended instruments, focused on regulatory trends and biological aspects. Among the suggestions for advancing the design, the highlights were the adequacy of physical space in health facilities, stable supply of raw materials, regulation of network services, including an administrative professional in every health unit actions and continuing education. It is understood that the formulation and implementation of methodologies and tools able to translate the basic guidelines of the Family Health Strategy and adapt to the peculiarities of each territory, with the strengthening of a culture of participatory planning is essential to show the integration and skilled labor in these teams. The paper describes the adaptation and testing of the Cultural and Psychosocial Influences on Disability Questionnaire for use in Portuguese. The cross-cultural adaptation followed the steps of translation, back-translation, evaluation of the translations by a committee of judges, and then piloting of the pre-final version. This was performed in a sample of 40 nursing staff from the Hospital at the University of Sao Paulo. Adjustments were made after review of the translations by the committee of judges (CVI< 80%). The pilot study was used to test whether questions could be satisfactorily understood and completed (> 85% of subjects). The Brazilian version of the Questionnaire is an adequate instrument for the ascertainment of occupational activities, psychosocial aspects of work, musculoskeletal symptoms and associated disabilities in nursing staff. Panic disorder is a complex phenomenon according to its biochemical and psychosocial etiology. Therapeutic interventions of panic disorder are aimed to promote effectiveness through the combined use of medication and behavioral cognitive therapy. Anxiety is a normal human response. Moderate levels of anxiety arc well accepted because they act as an aid to improve performance, and high levels of anxiety are experienced as normal if they arc consistent with the demands of the situation. Persons with anxiety disorders complain of experiencing anxiety too often but they seek help also to overcome fears they recognize as irrational and intrusive. From a psychological point of view, behavioral cognitive techniques — such as hyperventilation control, exposure, and cognitive therapy- and structured problem solving have been successful in the treatment of the symptoms associated to anxiety. It is worth to emphasize that graded exposure is perhaps the most powerful technique assisting patients to overcome fearful situations. Cognitions are also important because it has been found that panic attacks occur when people process information in the external environment, as well as internal somatic stimuli, as though they were threatening experiences. Objective: to analyze the burnout dimensions scores in Brazilian and Spanish nursing workers. Method: quantitative, cross-sectional and comparative study conducted with 589 Nursing workers who answered the Sociodemographic and Professional Characterization Questionnaire and the Maslach Burnout Inventory. Descriptive and analytical analysis of the data was performed. Results: Spanish Nursing workers presented higher averages in the Depersonalization dimension (p = 0.004) and Brazilians, higher scores in the Professional Achievement dimension (p = 0.031). In both Spain and Brazil, nursing assistants/technicians were found to have higher Emotional Exhaustion than nurses; In Brazil, Depersonalization is higher in nurses and in Spain it is higher in Nursing assistants/technicians. Statistically significant results were found in the association of burnout dimensions with sociodemographic and work characteristics: age; professional category; workplace; work regime; work shift; time of professional experience; working time in the same workplace and consider stressful work. Conclusion: Although Brazilian and Spanish nursing workers score low levels of Depersonalization and high Professional Achievement, there are average levels of Emotional Exhaustion, indicating an important preventive factor to be worked on, since Emotional Exhaustion is considered the first stage of burnout. Objective: To know what hospital managers and safety leaders in Ibero-American countries are doing to respond effectively to the occurrence of adverse events (AEs) with serious consequences for patients.Design: Cross-sectional international study.Setting: Public and private hospitals in Ibero-American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Portugal and Spain).Participants: A convenience sample of hospital managers and safety leaders from eight Ibero-American countries. A minimum of 25 managers/leaders from each country were surveyed.Interventions: A selection of 37 actions for the effective management of AEs was explored. These were related to the safety culture, existence of a crisis plan, communication and transparency processes with the patients and their families, attention to second victims and institutional communication.Main Outcome Measure: Degree of implementation of the actions studied.Results: A total of 190 managers/leaders from 126 (66.3%) public hospitals and 64 (33.7%) private hospitals participated. Reporting systems, in-depth analysis of incidents and non-punitive approaches were the most implemented interventions, while patient information and care for second victims after an AE were the least frequent interventions.Conclusions: The majority of these hospitals have not protocolized how to act after an AE. For this reason, it is urgent to develop and apply a strategic action plan to respond to this imperative safety challenge. This work aimed to evaluate the impact of inoculation single and co-cultivation of LAB and yeasts during the wet process of Coffea canephora using the self-induced anaerobic fermentation method. Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Totulaspora delbrueckii delbrueckii, Leuconostoc mesenteroides , and Lactiplantibacillus plantarum were monitored during fermentation. L. mesenteroides was detected in high concentrations in the coffee fruits (8.54 log10 cells/mL) and remained until the end of fermentation. Lactic and acetic acids were the main acids produced during fermentation. After 36 h of fermentation, 75.39% of malic acid was consumed in the L. mesenteroides + S. cerevisiae (MC) fermentations. In roasted coffee, the caffeine concentration reached 3.29 higher than the green beans in MC fermentation. Specific volatile compounds were detected in inoculated fermentation and may contribute to the beverage quality. Coffee inoculated with Leuconostoc mesenteroides was classified as fine (80.0–89.0), while the other fermentations were classified as premium (70.0–79.0). L. mesenteroides inoculation showed the best sensory score, and the beverage was characterized by caramel, fruity, and spices notes. L. mesenteroides inoculated alone or in co-culture with S. cerevisiae are promising starter cultures to improve Conilon coffee quality and obtain beverages with differentiated sensory profiles. • LAB single and co-inoculated with yeast was studied for the first time in Coffea canephora. • L. mesenteroides was detected in high concentrations in the coffee fruits. • Coffees inoculated with Leuconostoc mesenteroides were classified as a fine beverage. • LAB and yeast is a viable alternatives for obtaining superior quality coffee. The trajectory of this study was focused on understanding the experience of being a nursing teacher, woman and mother and reconciling work, motherhood and other daily activities. Participants were 11 women, mothers, teachers at higher education Institutions. Social Phenomenology was adopted for the analysis. The context of meanings was evidenced by categories: Difficulty in performing multiple activities; care of oneself and conciliation of social roles. Women give priority to being a mother, so that they have less time to take care of themselves. In spite of desiring to invest in teaching, they expect to have more time available to be in touch with their children and partner. This study showed that the professional and personal worlds need an interface, which allows for co-existence between the different roles women play in society. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
