Fractional flow reserve (FFR) has become the gold standard for evaluating coronary lesion-specific ischemia. However, FFR is an invasive method that may cause possible complications in the coronary artery and requires expensive equipment, which limits its use. Promising noninvasive diagnostic methods, such as computed tomography angiography–derived FFR (CT-FFR) and the quantitative flow ratio (QFR), have been proposed. In this study, we evaluated the diagnostic performance of the QFR and CT-FFR in predicting coronary lesion-specific ischemia, with the FFR serving as the reference standard. Patients with suspected or known coronary artery disease who underwent coronary CT angiography revealing 30–90% diameter stenosis in the main coronary artery (≥ 2.0 mm reference diameter) were enrolled. The FFR was measured during invasive coronary angiography (within 15 days after coronary CT angiography). An FFR ≤ 0.8 was the reference standard for coronary lesion-specific ischemia. A total of 103 vessels from 92 consecutive patients (aged 59.8 ± 9.2 years; 60.9% were men) were evaluated. The diagnostic performance of a QFR ≤ 0.80 for predicting coronary lesion-specific ischemia demonstrated good diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity (92.2%, 87.2%, and 96.4%, respectively), with an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of 0.987 (P < 0.0001). The diagnostic performance of a CT-FFR ≤ 0.80 for predicting coronary lesion-specific ischemia also demonstrated good diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity (96.1%, 95.7%, and 96.4%, respectively), with an AUC of 0.967 (P < 0.0001). However, there was no significant difference in the AUC between a QFR ≤ 0.80 and a CT-FFR ≤ 0.80 for predicting coronary lesion-specific ischemia (P = 0.319). There was an excellent correlation between the QFR and FFR (r = 0.856, P < 0.0001). The CT-FFR and FFR also showed a good direct correlation (r = 0.816, P < 0.0001). Background. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) serve as the immune system's primary transportation hub outside of the affected ablated tissue. This study aims to explore the transcriptomic profiling of the immune response in PBMCs induced by microwave ablation (MWA) in low-risk thyroid cancer. Methods. For eight patients diagnosed with low-risk thyroid cancer, 10 ml of peripheral venous blood was collected before MWA as well as one day and one month after MWA. mRNA was extracted from PBMCs for transcriptome next-generation gene sequencing and qRT-PCR analyses. The plasma samples were used for chemokine detection purposes. Results. One day and one month after MWA, there were significant changes in GSEA, particularly in the NF-kappa B-TNFα pathway, inflammatory response, and early and late estrogen response. Common changes in differently expressed genes resulted in a significant downregulation of tumor-promoting genes (BCL3, NR6A1, and PFKFB3). One day after low-risk thyroid cancer MWA, GO enrichment analysis mainly revealed processes related to oxygen transport and other pathways. One month after MWA, GO enrichment analysis mainly revealed regulation of toll-like receptor signaling and other pathways. Furthermore, inflammation-related cytokines and regulatory genes, as well as tumor-promoting cytokines and regulatory genes, were downregulated after MWA. Conclusions. This study presents a comprehensive profile of the systemic immune response induced by thermal ablation for treating low-risk thyroid cancer. More significantly, this study provides valuable insight into potential references for systemic antitumor immunity of ablation against low-risk thyroid cancer. In the overall aromaticity of a molecular system, the magnitude of σ -aromaticity influences the degree of bond length averaging in the molecular geometry, while the magnitude of π -aromaticity reflects the strength of π -electron delocalization, subsequently affecting the electronic transport properties of the entire molecular system. Simultaneously, the aromaticity type of a molecular system is primarily determined by the symmetry of the innermost π molecular orbitals. In this study, we conducted computational simulations of the aromaticity and electronic transport properties of compounds, including C8H8Cu2 with p π – d π delocalization effects and C12H8 with p π – p π delocalization effects, along with their Li derivatives. Based on calculated NICS values, ring current directions, molecular structural configurations and the symmetry of the innermost π molecular orbitals, we clarified the aromaticity types of the molecular systems. Combined with the analysis of molecular electrical conductivity properties, we gained insights into the fundamental attributes of Li-bridge bonds in Li derivatives and the factors influencing electronic transport pathways. Consequently, we established a relationship between the aromaticity of molecular systems and their electronic transport properties. To a certain extent, a novel criterion for evaluating molecular aromaticity is proposed from the perspective of single-molecule electronics. Through the analysis of molecular aromaticity and electrical conductivity, we have clarified that planar Craig-Möbius type π -aromaticity and non-planar Heilbronner-Möbius type σ -aromaticity determine the molecular electron transport capabilities. Additionally, by combining the analysis of bonding types and electron transport pathways, we explain the reason why the C 1 2 H8Li4 molecule, satisfying the 4n electron rule, exhibits Heilbronner-Möbius π -antiaromaticity, which primarily arises from the localization of electrons in its Li-bridged bonds. This research contributes to understanding the fundamental properties of molecular bonding, particularly Li-bridged bonds, and offers a new method for assessing aromaticity from the perspective of single-molecule electronics. ChinaMu is the largest sequence‐indexed Mutator (Mu) transposon insertional library in maize (Zea mays). In this study, we made significant improvements to the size and quality of the ChinaMu library. We developed a new Mu‐tag isolation method Mu‐Tn5‐seq (MuT‐seq). Compared to the previous method used by ChinaMu, MuT‐seq recovered 1/3 more germinal insertions, while requiring only about 1/14 of the sequencing volume and 1/5 of the experimental time. Using MuT‐seq, we identified 113,879 germinal insertions from 3,168 Mu‐active F1 families. We also assembled a high‐quality genome for the Mu‐active line Mu‐starter, which harbors the initial active MuDR element and was used as the pollen donor for the mutation population. Using the Mu‐starter genome, we recovered 33,662 (15.6%) additional germinal insertions in 3,244 (7.4%) genes in the Mu‐starter line. The Mu‐starter genome also improved the assignment of 117,689 (54.5%) germinal insertions. The newly upgraded ChinaMu dataset currently contains 215,889 high‐quality germinal insertions. These insertions cover 32,224 pan‐genes in the Mu‐starter and B73Ref5 genomes, including 23,006 (80.4%) core genes shared by the two genomes. As a test model, we investigated Mu insertions in the pentatricopeptide repeat (PPR) superfamily, discovering insertions for 92% (449/487) of PPR genes in ChinaMu, demonstrating the usefulness of ChinaMu as a functional genomics resource for maize. Underwater pipelines are exposed to harsh environments, including high salinity, multi-modal vortex corrosion, and severe wave interference. Their safety is essential for the development and transportation of marine energy. Therefore, real-time safety monitoring of long-distance energy pipelines is of great strategic importance for ensuring the safety of life and property and energy security. With the rapid development of energy development, the corrosion and leakage mechanisms of natural gas pipelines, as well as their identification and early warning, have become the focus of attention. Optical fiber sensing technology has been applied to various energy safety monitoring fields. However, the mechanism of sound source fluctuations in pipeline leakage and the mutual coupling mechanism between distributed optical fiber sensing technology and leakage sound waves are not yet clear. This paper establishes a model based on sound wave propagation and leakage noise response, derives a quadratic fitting relationship between pipeline pressure fluctuations and leakage orifices and a relationship between leakage noise source standard deviation and orifices, and proposes a complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (CEEMDAN) permutation entropy underwater natural gas pipeline leakage signal recognition method based on distributed optical fiber acoustic sensing technology. The results of theoretical analysis are verified by experiments. It shows that the signal processing method of CEEMDAN permutation entropy is superior to traditional noise reduction methods, which can better preserve the features of the original signal; the radial basis function (RBF) neural network model can accurately identify four different leakage features with an accuracy of 88.15%, and its recognition stability and generalization ability are superior to convolutional neural network, backpropagation, and random forest. Therefore, the research results of this paper provide a new method for safety monitoring in the application of energy pipeline transportation engineering, and expand the potential application scenarios of distributed acoustic sensing sensor systems and RBF neural networks. Image fusion is the generation of an informative image that contains complementary information from the original sensor images, such as texture details and attentional targets. Existing methods have designed a variety of feature extraction algorithms and fusion strategies to achieve image fusion. However, these methods ignore the extraction of common features in the original multi-source images. The point of view proposed in this paper is that image fusion is to retain, as much as possible, the useful shared features and complementary differential features of the original multi-source images. Shared and differential learning methods for infrared and visible light image fusion are proposed. An encoder with shared weights is used to extract shared common features contained in infrared and visible light images, and the other two encoder blocks are used to extract differential features of infrared images and visible light images, respectively. Effective learning of shared and differential features is achieved through weight sharing and loss functions. Then, the fusion of shared features and differential features is achieved via a weighted fusion strategy based on an entropy-weighted attention mechanism. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model with its algorithm. Compared with the-state-of-the-art methods, the significant advantage of the proposed method is that it retains the structural information of the original image and has better fusion accuracy and visual perception effect. Organic amine and nanosilica were combined to create a nano-demulsifier, which was employed in the oil–water separation process of a condensate emulsion. The nano-demulsifier has the structure of hyperbranched polymers and the skeleton structure of hyperbranched nanomaterials, and displays the demulsification impact of organic amine polymers as well as the synergistic effect of nanomaterials. This nano-demulsifier has the potential to drastically reduce the quantity of condensate demulsifiers utilized in the gathering station. The dehydration rate of the condensate lotion in the gas gathering station can reach more than 95% only at a concentration of 1.0 wt.%. Its application can significantly increase the separation efficiency of the condensate emulsion as well as the quality of condensate oil. It has a positive impact on cost reduction and efficiency in gas well production. Background: Platelet distribution width (PDW), but not platelet count, was found to more comprehensively reflect platelet activity. The present study, thus, aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of PDW to lymphocyte ratio (PDWLR) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) following hepatectomy. Methods: Patients following hepatectomy were analyzed retrospectively. The Kaplan-Meier survival curves and Cox regression model were used to determine the prognostic value of PDWLR. Results: 241 patients were analyzed eventually, and stratified into low and high PDWLR groups (≤ 9.66 vs. > 9.66). Results of comparing the baseline characteristics showed that high PDWLR was significantly associated with cirrhosis, and intraoperative blood loss (all P < 0.05). In multivariate COX regression analysis, PDWLR was demonstrated as an independent risk factor for OS (HR: 1.549, P = 0.041) and RFS (HR: 1.655, P = 0.005). Moreover, PDWLR demonstrated a superior capacity for predicting prognosis compared to other indicators. Conclusion: Preoperative PDWLR has a potential value in predicting the prognosis of HCC patients following hepatectomy, which may help in clinical decision-making for individual treatment. Fiber optic distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) technology is widely used in security surveillance and geophysical survey applications. The response of the DAS system to external vibrations varies with different types of fiber optic cable connections. The mechanism of mutual influence between the cable's characteristics and DAS measurement results remains unclear. This study proposed a dynamic model of the interaction between the optical cable and the soil, analyzed the impact of the dynamic parameters of the optical cable and soil on the sensitivity of the DAS system, and validated the theoretical analysis through experiments. The findings suggest that augmenting the cable's bending stiffness 5.5-fold and increasing its unit mass 4.2-fold result in a discernible reduction of the system's response to roughly 0.15 times of its initial magnitude. Cables with lower unit mass and bending stiffness are more sensitive to vibration signals. Antarctica's response to climate change varies greatly both spatially and temporally. Surface melting impacts mass balance and also lowers surface albedo. We use a 43-year record (from 1978 to 2020) of Antarctic snow melt seasons from space-borne microwave radiometers with a machine-learning algorithm to show that both the onset and the end of the melt season are being delayed. Granger-causality analysis shows that melt end is delayed due to increased heat flux from the ocean to the atmosphere at minimum sea-ice extent from warming oceans. Melt onset is Granger-caused primarily by the turbulent heat flux from ocean to atmosphere that is in turn driven by sea-ice variability. Delayed snowmelt season leads to a net decrease in the absorption of solar irradiance, as a delayed summer means that higher albedo occurs after the period of maximum solar radiation, which changes Antarctica's radiation balance more than sea-ice cover. Background: Alport syndrome (AS; OMIM#308,940) is a hereditary kidney disease that progresses over time and is distinguished by hearing loss and ocular irregularities. The syndrome has three subtypes, namely X-linked (XL; OMIM#301,050), autosomal recessive (AR; OMIM#203,780), and autosomal dominant (AD; OMIM#104,200), which are categorized based on their respective modes of inheritance. XLAS is attributed to a pathogenic variant in the COL4A5 (OMIM*303,630) gene, which encodes the α5(IV) chain of type IV collagen (Col-IV). In contrast, ADAS and ARAS are the result of variants in the COL4A3 (OMIM*120,070) and COL4A4 (OMIM*120,131) genes, which encode the α3(IV) and α4(IV) chains of Col-IV, respectively. Typically, the diagnosis of AS necessitates hereditary or pathological assessments. The determination of splicing variants as pathogenic or non-pathogenic based on gene sequencing outcomes is challenging. Methods: In this study, we conducted exome sequencing and Sanger sequencing on two unrelated Chinese patients with AS. We identified a deletion variant c.4414delG in the COL4A5 gene and a splicing variant c.4298-20T > A in the same gene. In order to ascertain the impact of c.4298-20T > A on the synthesis of COL4A5 mRNA, we performed experiments involving minigene splicing. Additionally, we predicted the ability of these two variants to affect triple helix formation of α345(IV) using molecular dynamics methods. Results: The c.4414delG deletion variant caused a change in the genetic code of the COL4A5 gene. Specifically, it caused a shift in codon 1472 from encoding aspartate to encoding methionine. This shift resulted in a change of 75 amino acids in the protein sequence, ultimately leading to an early stop codon. This premature stop codon caused the production of a truncated α5(IV) chain with a predicted protein effect of p.D1472Mfs. The mRNA of the COL4A5 gene experienced intron 46 retention due to the splicing variant c.4298-20T > A, leading to the inclusion of six additional amino acids between amino acids 1432 and 1433 of the α5(IV) chain. This variant is predicted to have a protein effect of p.(P1432_G1433insDYFVEI). The impact of two variants, c.4414delG and c.4298-20T > A, on the aggregation region for α3(IV), α4(IV), and α5(IV) trimerisation were studied using molecular dynamics simulations. Results showed that the deletion variant c.4414delG had a significantly stronger disruption on NC1, compared to the splicing variant c.4298-20T > A. This difference in impact is consistent with the varying clinical phenotypes observed in the two patients. Based on the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) classification criteria and guidelines for genetic variants, the deletion variant c.4414delG was rated as pathogenic while the splicing variant c.4298-20T > A was rated as likely-pathogenic. Conclusion: Our study has identified two novel pathogenic loci, the deletion variant c.4414delG and the splicing variant c.4298-20T > A, associated with XLAS. This finding expands the genetic spectrum of XLAS. We suggest that molecular dynamics can effectively model the effect of genetic variation on α345(IV) trimerization, which may offer valuable insights into the mechanisms of XLAS pathogenesis. This study was designed to investigate the role of aquaporin 1 (AQP1) in ferroptosis, macrophage polarization, mitochondrial dysfunction, and impaired autophagy of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 cells and explored the underlying mechanisms. Si-AQP1-mediated AQP1 silencing RAW264.7 cells was constructed. Si-P53-mediated P53 silencing or pcDNA-P53 overexpression RAW264.7 cells was constructed. Assays of ATP, reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR), and Mitochondrial membrane potential (JC-1) staining were performed to evaluate mitochondrial biological function. Assays of flow cytometry, reactive oxygen species (ROS) staining, western blot (WB), RT-qPCR, malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), and total superoxide dismutase (SOD) were performed to detect cell ferroptosis, macrophage polarization, and impaired autophagy. The involvement of the P53 pathway was revealed by WB. The results showed that LPS (30 μg/mL) could induce ferroptosis, M1 polarization, mitochondrial dysfunction, and autophagy damage in RAW264.7 cells. Meanwhile, the expression of AQP1 was increased and the expression of P53 was decreased. In addition, Pifithrin-α (PIF; 15 μM), a P53 inhibitor, significantly aggravated ferroptosis, M1 polarization, mitochondrial dysfunction, and autophagy damage as well as up-regulation of AQP1 protein expression in LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells. Interestingly, this phenomenon was markedly alleviated by Kevetrin hydrochloride (70 μM), a P53 agonist. Mechanistically, silencing AQP1 significantly alleviated ferroptosis, M1 polarization, mitochondrial dysfunction, and autophagy damage by up-regulating the expression of P53 in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Indeed, inhibition of P53 expression by PIF treatment dramatically reversed this effect on the basis of LPS+si-AQP1. Therefore, we concluded for the first time that AQP1 can promote ferroptosis, M1 polarization, mitochondrial dysfunction, and autophagy impairment by inhibiting the expression of P53 in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells, and AQP1 or P53 may be considered as a crucial determiner that can regulate the biological behavior of RAW264.7 cells stimulated by LPS. With the infusion of information technology into society, incorporating technology into everyday life has become instrumental for older adults. Recent studies have emphasized the importance of adult children's information support in older adults' daily lives and filial responsibility expectations in the information era. However, few measurements of filial responsibility expectation include information expectation. We aimed to introduce a modified version of the Filial Responsibility Scale (FRS) for use with Chinese older adults. The results showed that the revised Chinese version of the FRS included four factors: emotional expectation, instrumental expectation, contact expectation, and information expectation. The overall reliability was good, structural validity was good, and criterion-related validity was satisfactory. Thus, the four-dimensional structure of the FRS is suitable for use in Chinese cultural settings and is an effective instrument to evaluate the filial expectation of older adults in the information era. Currently, graphite (Gr) and potassium metal are two typical and widely used anodes for potassium‐ion batteries (PIBs). Unfortunately, the inevitable electrochemical prepotassiation of Gr anode and the unprocessable nature of K metal hinder the advancement of potassium‐ion pouch cells. There is an urgent need to develop alternative anodes for promoting the practical applications of PIBs. Herein, KC8 is proposed as a specialized anode for the research of PIBs. By taking a chemical prepotassiation strategy, a large‐area KC8 foil is successfully fabricated for the first time. Through molecularly tailoring K‐arene complex, the Gibb's free energy of the Gr prepotassiation reaction can be changed, thus enabling accurate preparation of pure‐phase KC8.The size‐controllable KC8 anode exhibits a high areal capacity of 1.49 mAh cm−2 comparable to the commercial Gr anode used in lithium‐ion batteries. Based on this, a stackable pouch cell delivers an unprecedented high capacity of 106 mAh and high energy density >100 Wh kg−1cathode+anode. Purpose: Laparoscopic liver resection (LLR) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains controversial, especially for tumors larger than 5 cm. We compared the short- and long-term outcomes of laparoscopic and open liver resection (OLR) for large HCC. Methods: Patients with large HCC after curative hepatectomy were enrolled. To compare the short-term outcomes, propensity score matching (PSM) and inverse probability treatment weighting (IPTW) were performed to reduce the effect of confounding factors, respectively. Subsequently, Cox-regression analyses were conducted to identify the independent risk factors associated with decreased recurrence-free survival (RFS) and poor overall survival (OS). Result: There were 265 patients enrolled in the final analysis: 146 who underwent OLR and 119 who underwent LLR. There was no significant difference between the OLR and LLR groups according to PSM and IPTW analysis (all P > 0.05). Multivariable analysis revealed that LLR was not independently associated with poorer OS (HR 1.15, 95% CI 0.80–1.67, P = 0.448) or RFS (HR 1.22, 95% CI 0.88–1.70, P = 0.238). Conclusion: There were no significant differences in perioperative complications or long-term prognosis between LLR and OLR for large HCC, which provides evidence for standard laparoscopic surgical practice with adequate surgeon experience and careful patient selection. Subsoiling (SS) is an important technology in conservation tillage, but soil-disturbance characteristics in the SS are rarely described. Research on soil-disturbance characteristics during SS is conducive to the design and optimization of subsoilers, which provides a basis for reducing draft force and energy consumption. This study conducted SS experiments at five different tillage depths in the field with a specific field in situ test-rig facility, and in situ videotaping was made from five positions during SS. The microrelief test, draft force test, disturbance cross-section test and disturbance process analysis were conducted after SS. The results showed that draft force increased with tillage depth as a quadratic function. Soil displacement parameters and soil crack parameters extracted from the video of SS were significantly correlated with tillage depth, which could be used for a quantitative description of the paddy soil-disturbance characteristics. Cross-sectional area showed a trend of "increasing then decreasing" with increasing tillage depth, reaching a maximum at a tillage depth of 20 cm. When the tillage depth was greater than 20 cm, the bottom of the disturbing boundary formed a "mole cavity". Fallback rate was used to describe the change in disturbed height or width during and after SS, which exceeded 100% at maximum. The surface roughness of microrelief and the size of the average clods reached the maximum at tillage depth of 20 cm. Considering the shallow cultivation layer of paddy soil in rice–wheat rotation, the recommended tillage depth of 20 cm could achieve maximum soil disturbance and minimum energy consumed. In the preparation of a superamphiphobic surface, the most basic method is to reduce the surface free energy of the interface. The C—F bond has a very low surface free energy, which can significantly change the wettability of the solid–liquid interface and make it a hydrophobic or oleophobic, or even superamphiphobic surface. Based on the analysis of a large number of research articles, the preparation and application progress in fluoropolymer emulsion were summarized. After that, some corresponding thoughts were put forward combined with our professional characteristics. According to recent research, the status of the fluoropolymer emulsion preparation system was analyzed. In addition, all related aspects of fluoropolymer emulsion were systematically classified in varying degrees. Furthermore, the interaction between fluoropolymer structure and properties, especially the interaction with nanomaterials, was also explored. The aim of this review is to try to attract more scholars' attention to fluorocarbon interfacial materials. Rain‐fed rice (Oryza sativa L.)–wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) (RFRW) rotation can be a resource‐saving solution for sustainable cropping systems. However, conventional puddled and flood transplanted rice, repeat tractor compaction, and years of shallow rotary tillage and paddy–dryland rotation had a negative impact on soil physical in the RFRW rotation (e.g., soil consolidation and shrinkage, shallow tillage layer). A 4‐yr field experiment was established to determine if different post‐paddy tillage systems would improve soil physical properties and plant factors. We compared no‐tillage (NT), conventional rotary tillage (RT), and deep tillage (DT) to improve the deteriorated soil structure, soil water, wheat root system, and grain yield. The results indicated that DT increased the average soil water content by 7.25% and 9.98%, increased field capacity by 9.58 and 5.23%, and decreased the soil bulk density by 6.2 and 2.2% at 0‐to‐20‐cm soil depth in 4 yr as compared to NT and RT, respectively. The NT increased the average relative soil moisture and had higher soil bulk density at 0‐to‐20‐cm depth. The DT deepened the root growth and increased the total root point numbers by 21.0 and 22.8% at 0‐to‐40‐cm soil depth in 4 yr, respectively, compared with NT and RT. In 4 yr, the DT significantly achieved higher average grain yield by 5.3 and 13.5%, respectively, compared with NT and RT. Overall, DT after rice was shown to be a promising management approach for improving wheat yields and might enable sustainable intensification of RFRW rotation. The Eastern Staging System, which was specially developed for patients undergoing surgical resection for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), has been proposed for more than ten years. To prospectively validate the predictive accuracy of the Eastern staging on long-term survival after HCC resection. Patients who underwent hepatectomy for HCC from 2011 to 2020 at 10 Chinese hospitals were identified from a prospectively collected database. The survival predictive accuracy was evaluated and compared between the Eastern Staging with six other staging systems, including the JIS, BCLC, Okuda, CLIP, 8th AJCC TNM, and HKLC staging. Among 2365 patients, the 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival rates were 84.2%, 64.5%, and 52.6%, respectively. Among these seven staging systems, the Eastern staging was associated with the best monotonicity of gradients (linear trend χ2: 408.5) and homogeneity (likelihood ratio χ2: 447.3), and the highest discriminatory ability (the areas under curves for 1-, 3-, and 5-year mortality: 0.776, 0.787, and 0.768, respectively). In addition, the Eastern staging was the most informative staging system in predicting survival (Akaike information criterion: 2982.33). Using a large multicenter prospectively collected database, the Eastern Staging was found to show the best predictive accuracy on long-term overall survival in patients with resectable HCC than the other 6 commonly-used staging systems. The development and utilization of 3p-block based MOFs as fluorescent materials has attracted significant attention in recent years. Herein, we have successfully constructed a versatile luminescent Ga-MOF (SNNU-63) with a 3d10 configuration and a large ligand twist configuration. Interestingly, the as-synthesized Ga-MOF exhibits excellent luminescence property and a good material for blue light-emitting diode (LED). At 80 K, this Ga-MOF shows multi-emission centers at 381, 462, and 494 nm. As a ratiometric thermometer, this Ga-MOF exhibits an excellent temperature sensing property with high relative sensitivity (Sm = 2.60 % K−1 at 110 K). The fluorescence intensity ratio I381/I494 shows a very good fit for the Boltzmann results (80–240 K). Moreover, the luminescent Ga-MOF exhibits an excellent selective detection of Fe3+ over other metal ions in aqueous an medium, and the limit of detection (LOD) towards Fe3+ ions is calculated to be 1.227 × 10−4 M. In this paper, the global adaptive stabilization problem for a class of uncertain time-delay nonlinear systems with unmeasured state dependent growth and saturated input is addressed by output-feedback. The nonlinearities depend on both the unmeasured states and the unknown polynomial-of-output growth. To handle the unmeasured state and the saturated input, a distinct observer and an auxiliary system with only one high-gain updated in a new form, are introduced, respectively. Moreover, a systematic output-feedback control scheme is proposed by using the method of backstepping. Cell cryopreservation is crucial for biomedicine, and the addition of cryoprotectants (CPAs) to protect cells from cryoinjuries is essential at low temperatures. Trehalose (Tre) has been considered a biocompatible CPA because of its unique physicochemical properties, which could provide cryoprotection to cells during cryopreservation by its interaction with cell membrane phospholipids. Nonetheless, there were few studies on the synthesis of Tre-based CPAs. Here, we reported a feasible solution to further improve the cell cryopreservation efficiency by modifying Tre with sulfoxide functional groups, which enabled dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)-free cryopreservation of cells. Compared with unmodified Tre, the sulfoxide-modified Tre (Tre-S) could further protect cells from cryoinjuries. At the optimal CPA concentration (8% Tre-S), the survival rate of L929 cells was up to 88.5% after cryopreservation, and the recovered cells could maintain their normal cell biological behaviors. The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and ice recrystallization inhibiting (IRI) tests show that Tre-S has good melting point reduction and IRI activities. Cryopreservation is highly desired for long-term maintenance of the viability of living biosamples, while effective cell cryopreservation still relies heavily on the addition of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and fetal bovine serum (FBS). However, the intrinsic toxicity of DMSO is still a bottleneck, which could not only cause the clinical side effect but also induce cell genetic variants. In the meantime, the addition of FBS may bring potentially the risk of pathogenic microorganism contamination. The liquid marbles (LMs), a novel biotechnology tool for cell cryopreservation, which not only have a small volume system that facilitated recovery, but the hydrophobic shell also resisted the harm to cells caused by adverse environments. Previous LM-based cell cryopreservation relied heavily on the addition of FBS. In this work, we introduced acidic polyaspartic acid and polyglutamic acid as cryoprotectants to construct LM systems. LMs could burst in an instant to facilitate and achieve ultrarapid recovery process, and the hydrophilic carboxyl groups of the cryoprotectants could form hydrogen bonds with water molecules and further inhibit ice growth/formation to protect cells from cryoinjuries. Traditional adhesives such as cyanoacrylate glue are mostly solvent‐based. They are facing the problem of insufficient adhesion to some substrates, and also from the drawback of volatilization and release of small organic molecules in the process of usage. Therefore, a novel adhesive with non‐irritating, high adhesive strength, and antibacterial properties is highly required. In this study, a full physically crosslinked zwitterionic poly(betaine sulfonate methacrylate) (PSBMA) hydrogel is proposed. The physical crosslinking interactions endow the hydrogel with good self‐healing properties. Furthermore, the pure physical crosslinking hydrogel can form PSBMA powder adhesive after lyophilization and return to the hydrogel state after hydration. The mechanical properties of PSBMA adhesive can be modulated via adjusting the solid content and initiator dosage. Following the cure process similar to that of snail mucus or insect exoskeletons in nature, the adhesion of the PSBMA adhesive is improved at least 100 times than its wet state. In addition, the PSBMA adhesive is easy to be removed due to the dissociation of cross‐linked structures in saltwater environments. Moreover, PSBMA adhesive with antifouling properties can effectively prevent the adhesion of proteins and bacteria, which shows potential applications in the assembly of medical devices. Catalytic growth of silicon nanowires (SiNWs), mediated by metallic droplet, provide ideal quasi-1D channels to construct high performance field effect transistor (FET). However, the incorporation of catalytic metal atoms into SiNWs channels has significant impact on the FET characteristics, and thus needs to be better understood and controlled to fulfil its potential for high performance electronics. In this work, we focus on the effect of the incorporation of indium (In) catalytic atoms into planar SiNWs, grown via an in-plane solid-liquid-solid (IPSLS) mechanism, on the FET device performance. It is found that the initial high concentration of p-type In dopants in the as-grown SiNWs led to an equivalent boron (B) doping of 5×1018 cm−3. However, a simple step-wise annealing in oxygen at different temperatures, varied from 620 °C to 920 °C, can help to out-diffuse the dissolved In atoms into the surface SiO 2 layer, and reduce the In concentrations down to <5×1017 cm−3, as verified by atom-probe tomography (APT) and four-point-probe measurements. This effective dopant control enables a remarkable device performance improvement of the Schottky barrier FETs, built upon an orderly array of parallel SiNWs of approximately 25 nm in diameter, where the current ratio (I on /I off) has been substantially boosted from 105 to 108, while the subthreshold swing (SS) reduced from 400 mV/dec down to ∼100 mV/dec, with a hole carrier mobility increased from 10 to ∼75 cm2 V−1 s−1 as extracted according to a finite element analysis. • A high linearity and sensitivity CO 2 gas sensor is proposed and demonstrated by using a micro-tapered long-period fiber grating (MT-LPFG). • The sensor exhibits a high linear sensitivity of 0.068 nm/% and an impressively low CO 2 detection limit of 1.2 %, with a linearity of 0.994 as CO 2 levels change. • The superior sensitivity sensor with simple fabrication, stable performance, and non-degenerate performance are significant for fiber sensing design. Given that CO 2 molecules effortlessly permeate the mesh pores of the electrospun PES films, modulations in both the refractive index (RI) and volume of PES films can be induced, consequently leading to alterations in the resonant wavelength of the grating. The experimental results demonstrate the exceptional performance of the MT-LPFG sensor utilizing PES films, showcasing a significant response within a range of (1.99 %-10 %). In this study, we propose a novel and universal preparation method for fabricating asymmetric adhesive hydrogel patches for favorable suture-less sealing gastric repair based on the existing high adhesive strength hydrogel patch research. The micro‐ring resonator (MRR) is a crucial element in integrated photonics. It allows for the realization of various optical devices, including integrated filters, modulators, micro‐ring laser cavities, detectors, optical logic switches, and nonlinear optical devices. The development of integrated photonics has enabled the integration of these devices with other components into a photonic chip to perform specific functions. For instance, widely tunable MRR‐based lasers have been integrated with optical phased arrays (OPAs), detectors, and other elements to form a fully integrated LiDAR engine. Advances in nanofabrication have facilitated the miniaturization of nanophotonic phased arrays and on‐chip lasers. MRR‐based integrated external cavity lasers (ECLs) and integrated optical frequency combs (OFCs) have significantly enhanced the scanning and detection capabilities of LiDAR recently. Additionally, their size and power consumption have been continuously reduced, rendering them suitable for chip‐scale integration. Seed germination and dormancy represent critical phases in the life cycle of plants, tightly regulated by endogenous phytochrome levels and environment signals. High temperatures (HT) induce the overaccumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and increase abscisic acid (ABA), thereby inhibiting seed germination. Our previous findings showed that HT induced the burst of reactive nitrogen species (RNS), increasing the S‐nitrosylation modification of HFR1, which effectively blocks seed germination. Importantly, stabilizing HFR1 has been shown to significantly mitigate the inhibitory effect of HT on seed germination. In this study, we reported that HT increased the protein abundance of ABI4, a crucial component in ABA signaling, which in turn activates the expression of RbohD while suppressing the expression of VTC2. This leads to the rapid generation of ROS, thereby inhibiting seed germination. Consistently, the seed germination of abi4 mutant showed insensitivity to HT with lower ROS level during seed germination, whereas transgenic lines overexpressing ABI4 showed reduced germination rates accompanied by elevated ROS levels. Furthermore, we noted that HFR1 interacts with ABI4 to sequester its activity under normal conditions. However, HT‐induced ROS triggered the degradation of HFR1, consequently releasing ABI4 activity. This activation of ABI4 promotes RbohD expression, culminating in a ROS burst that suppresses seed germination. Thus, our study unveils a novel function for ABI4 in regulating ROS level and seed germination under HT stress. Throughout this process, HFR1 plays a critical role in restraining ABI4 activity to maintain an optimal endogenous ROS level, thereby ensuring seed germination under favorable environmental conditions. Although the relationship between technological innovation and the status of the global value chain's (GVC) division of labor has been essentially affirmed by academia, the direct regression of all countries does not account for national differences pertaining to different economic development levels. This paper divides the countries selected for this study into developed and developing countries and then conducts empirical tests on two sample sets to explore the heterogeneity of technological innovation and GVC division of labor status. The results reveal the following: (1) in developed countries, the GVC division of labor status of high-end manufacturing is generally higher than that of developing countries; (2) in developed countries, the technological innovation of high-end manufacturing plays a significant role in promoting GVC's division of labor, while developing countries have a significant inhibitory effect; and (3) staff input and financial developmental levels have significantly promoted GVC's status in the division of labor. Earlier studies have shown that, in developing countries, technological innovation in high-end manufacturing industries does not fully serve the goal of exporting intermediate goods. This study's conclusions offer a new method of explaining the nature of a given country, the logic of technological innovation, and the differences in the GVC division of labor status. Background and aims: Although adjuvant transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) for resected hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) may improve survival for some patients, identifying which patients can benefit remains challenging. The present study aimed to construct a survival prediction calculator for individualized estimating the net survival benefit of adjuvant TACE for patients with resected HCC. Methods: From a multicenter database, consecutive patients undergoing curative resection for HCC were enrolled and divided into the developing and validation cohorts. Using the independent survival predictors in the developing cohort, two nomogram models were constructed for patients with and without adjuvant TACE, respectively, which predictive performance was validated internally and externally by measuring concordance index (C-index) and calibration. The difference between two estimates of the prediction models was the expected survival benefit of adjuvant TACE. Results: A total of 2514 patients met the inclusion criteria for the study. The nomogram prediction models for patients with and without adjuvant TACE were, respectively, built by incorporating the same eight independent survival predictors, including portal hypertension, Child–Pugh score, alpha-fetoprotein level, tumor size and number, macrovascular and microvascular invasion, and resection margin. These two prediction models demonstrated good calibration and discrimination, with all the C-indexes of greater than 0.75 in the developing and validation cohorts. A browser-based calculator was generated for individualized estimating the net survival benefit of adjuvant TACE. Conclusions: Based on large-scale real-world data, an easy-to-use online calculator can be adopted as a decision aid to predict which patients with resected HCC can benefit from adjuvant TACE. Using olive leaves as the carbon source, carbon quantum dots (CQDs) with up-conversion luminescence were prepared via a reflux method. Through a hydrothermal treatment, CQDs were loaded on the surface of TiO2 to form a CQDs/TiO2 composite that exhibited photocatalytic properties. The morphology, size and composition of the as-prepared composite were characterized using XRD, SEM, TEM and XPS. Excited at the wavelength range from 560 nm to 740 nm, CQDs exhibited a significant multi-photon-based up-conversion luminescence property. This property of CQDs endowed CQDs/TiO2 composites with great photocatalytic efficiency. The performance of CQDs/TiO2 composites was tested in the degradation of tetracycline (TC) and rhodamine B (RhB). Irradiated under visible light for 10 min and 70 min, the degradation rates of 5% CQDs/TiO2 reached 81% and 92% for TC and RhB, respectively. Photocurrent and PL tests indicated that the loading of CQDs significantly improved the separation efficiency of TiO2-photogenerated charge carriers. Taking advantage of the up-conversion luminescence property of CQDs, the harvesting efficiency of visible light by CQDs/TiO2 composites was greatly enhanced. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Surgical resection is the only potentially curative treatment for patients with resectable perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (PHC). There is still no consensus on the value of lymphadenectomy despite evidence indicating lymph node (LN) status is an important prognostic indicator for postoperative long-term survival. We sought to perform a meta-analysis to summarize the current evidence on the value of lymphadenectomy among patients undergoing surgery for PHC. The PubMed (OvidSP), Embase and Cochrane Library were systematically searched for studies published before July 2020 that reported on lymphadenectomy at the time of surgery for PHC after curative surgery. 7748 patients from 28 studies were included in the meta-analysis. No survival benefit was identified with increased number of LN resected (all P > 0.05). Meanwhile, overall LN status was an important prognostic factor. Patients with lymph node metastasis had a pooled estimate hazard ratio of death that was over two-fold higher than patients without lymph node metastasis (HR 2.07, 95% CI 1.65–2.59, P < 0.001). The examination of 5 LNs on histology was associated with better staging of lymph node status and stratification of patients into positive or negative LN groups. While the extent of LN dissection was not associated with a survival benefit, examination of more than 5 LNs better staged patients into positive or negative LN groups with a lower risk of nodal understaging. To evaluate the quality of life (QOL) of children with asthma and analyze the related factors. A total of 360 children diagnosed with asthma were enrolled. We conducted the pediatric asthma quality of life questionnaire (PAQLQ). The differences in clinical characteristics between the two groups were compared. Clinical characteristics were compared between high and low QOL. More female was observed in low QOL group (p = 0.013). Patients with higher income (p = 0.003) were shown with higher QOL. Female patients presented significantly lower values for activity limitation (p = 0.016) and emotional function (p = 0.016) as compared to male patients. For patients who have low income, the QOL scores for dimensions of activity limitation was significantly worse than those have higher income (p = 0.001). Univariable results showed that gender (p = 0.013) and income (p = 0.001) were factors associated with QOL in asthma children. However, multivariate analysis suggested that only gender (OR = 0.558, p = 0.008) and income (OR = 1.762, p < 0.001) were the independent factors that affected the QOL levels. In this study, we found that the QOL dimensions of pediatric asthma differed between various subpopulations. Tactile paving plays a crucial role in the travel of visually impaired, and assists them to find the way forward. Therefore, it is quite meaningful to identify the regions and trends of tactile paving to support the independent walking of the visually impaired. Visual segmentation technology shows potential to segment the regions of tactile paving, and the shapes of these regions can be used to further check the road trends. To effectively improve the accuracy and robustness of tactile paving segmentation, a novel tactile paving segmentation method that combines UNet network and multi-scale feature extraction is proposed in this work. The structure of group receptive field block (GRFB) has been embedded into the basic UNet network to obtain multi-scale receptive fields of the tactile paving. Aiming to enhance the computational efficiency, the strategy of group convolution is adopted to combine with GRFB module. Meanwhile, small-scale convolution is used after each group convolution to achieve cross-channel information interaction and integration, aiming to extract more abundant high-level features. In this paper, we have constructed the dataset of tactile paving in various scenarios, and labeled them for experimental evaluation. Furthermore, a comparative analysis with the typical networks and structure modules has been demonstrated in details. The strong circular dichroism (CD) of metallic chiral nanostructures can be applied to polarization conversion, negative refraction materials, and chiral molecule detection. However, metallic chiral nanostructures with losses struggle to produce dynamically tunable ultra-narrow band circular dichroism signals, which greatly limits their applications in sensing. In this paper, the MoS 2 and Sb 2 S 3 with phase change characteristics are introduced into all-dielectric chiral nanopore arrays (ACNAs) based on gridding to generate dynamically tunable ultra-narrow band circular dichroism signals. Simulation results show that ACNAs/MoS 2 produce two strong narrow-band CD signals in the visible range. The maximum CD intensity can reach 0.75, and the maximum half-width can reach 0.8 nm. The electric field distribution indicates that two CD signals are mainly caused by the guided mode resonance. The ultra-narrow band CD signals both lie on their geometric parameters and can realize the dynamic regulation by changing the incidence angle of lights and the crystalline state of Sb 2 S 3. Furthermore, the sensing characteristics of this device were evaluated by analyzing the effects of different concentrations of SARS-CoV-2 solutions on the CD spectra. The goal of infrared and visible image fusion is to generate an informative image that preserves the complementary information of the two types of source images, such as texture details and infrared targets. Existing methods have designed a variety of means to achieve the fusion of image texture and target complementary information. But they ignore the fact that the two types of source images have the complementarity of illumination, especially the infrared image can mainly supplement the information of the low-light visible image. An image fusion method using infrared and visible light to supplement light interactively is proposed. It performs intrinsic image decomposition on the input infrared and visible light images respectively and then fuses the illumination components and material components of the two types of images respectively. Further, to better meet the needs of image fusion, an improved variational model for the decomposition of image intrinsics is proposed. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model with its algorithm. Compared with the state-of-the-art methods, the significant advantage of the proposed method is that it has better fusion accuracy and visual perception at the same time, and the comprehensive metric evaluation is the best (9.2% performance improvement). Data on prognostic factors associated with outcome following resection of perihilar cholangiocarcinoma vary. We sought to define and characterize current available evidence on prognostic factors associated with perihilar cholangiocarcinoma after resection. The PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane library were systematically searched for relevant studies published before December 2019. Prognostic factors were identified from multivariate regression analyses in studies. Only high-quality studies were included (Newcastle–Ottawa Scale > 6 stars). A total of 45 studies involving 7338 patients were analyzed. The meta-analysis demonstrated that serum bilirubin levels (hazard ratio: 1.76, 95% confidence interval: 1.27–2.44), serum CA19-9 levels (hazard ratio: 1.32, 95% confidence interval: 1.05–1.65), tumor size (hazard ratio: 1.27, 95% confidence interval: 1.04–1.55), major vascular involvement (hazard ratio: 1.61, 95% confidence interval: 1.09–2.38), distance metastasis (hazard ratio: 17.60, 95% confidence interval: 2.01–154.09), perioperative blood transfusion (hazard ratio: 1.36, 95% confidence interval: 1.15–1.62), T-stage (hazard ratio: 1.96, 95% confidence interval: 1.47–2.61), lymph node metastasis (hazard ratio: 2.06, 1.83–2.31), resection margin status (hazard ratio: 2.34, 95% confidence interval: 1.89–2.89), not-well histology differentiation (hazard ratio: 2.03, 95% confidence interval: 1.69–2.44), perineural invasion (hazard ratio: 2.37, 95% confidence interval: 1.59–3.55), and lymphovascular invasion (hazard ratio: 1.41, 95% confidence interval: 1.15–1.73) were prognostic factors for poorer overall survival. The exploration of high-efficient, environment-stable, and cost-effective microwave absorption (MA) materials is of great significance for commercial application, and the main challenge lies in how to integrate these fascinating features using facile strategies. Herein, a one-step synergistic catalytic pyrolysis strategy was developed to construct bamboo-like N-doped carbon tube encapsulated cobalt-nickel alloy. As for a bamboo-like N-doped carbon tube, it not only provides abundant cavities for the generation of the induced current, but also induces uneven distribution of local charges from the N-doping, which results in the enhanced conduction loss and polarization relaxation. More importantly, the confinement of CoNi alloy into carbon tube effectively prevents the agglomeration of magnetic CoNi nanoparticles and simultaneously protects the CoNi alloy from corrosion, which is favorable for preserving its original magnetic properties and achieving stable MA performance in extreme chemical environment. On the basis of the combined effect, the optimized CoNi–N/C-700 achieves strong absorption of −55.62 dB and broad bandwidth of 4.25 GHz with an ultrathin thickness of 1.45 mm and low filler loading of 10 wt%, outperforming most bimetal-based microwave absorbers. This one-step synthetic strategy may pave a new way to design and construct high-efficient and anti-corrosion microwave absorbers for future large-scale applications. We used I2 to assess the heterogeneity between studies.Forty‐three studies were included in the meta‐analysis. Hysterectomy was significantly associated with an increased risk of CVD (pooled HR 1.11, 95% CI 1.09–1.13; n = 6; I2 = 0) and stroke (HR 1.09, 95% CI 1.04–1.14; n = 7; I2 = 52%), but with a decreased risk of cancer mortality (HR 0.93, 95% CI 0.86–1.00; n = 4; I2 = 81%). No significant association was observed between hysterectomy and CHD (n = 10; I2 = 83%), all‐cause mortality (n = 8; I2 = 81%) or cardiovascular mortality (n = 7; I2 = 89%). Hysterectomy with and without oophorectomy was significantly associated with CVD and stroke risk, but showed a larger effect size for hysterectomy with oophorectomy. A significantly increased risk of CHD was observed in the subgroup of hysterectomy with oophorectomy, but not for the subgroup of hysterectomy alone.Hysterectomy may increase the risk of CVD, CHD and stroke, but not all‐cause, cardiovascular or cancer mortality. Hysterectomy with oophorectomy may have a higher risk of CVD, CHD and stroke than hysterectomy alone. Background: Although adjuvant transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) has been used to prevent recurrence after surgery in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the survival benefits from adjuvant TACE remain controversial. We sought to systematically evaluate the data on the effectiveness of adjuvant TACE for HCC, as well as identify patient populations that might benefit from adjuvant TACE. Methods: The PubMed, Embase, Medline and Cochrane library were systematically searched for studies published before July 2019 that compared adjuvant TACE versus surgery alone for HCC. The study endpoints were overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS). Patients with large HCC (⩾5 cm), multinodular HCC, microvascular invasion (MVI), or portal vein tumor thrombosis (PVTT) were analyzed in subgroup analyses. Results: Twenty-four studies with 6977 patients were included in the analytic cohort. The pooled analysis demonstrated that adjuvant TACE was associated with a better OS and DFS [hazard ratio (HR): 0.67 and 0.67, both p < 0.01]. In subgroup analyses, pooled results revealed that adjuvant TACE was associated with an improved OS and DFS in patients with multinodular HCC (HR: 0.79 and 0.31, both p < 0.01), MVI (HR: 0.62 and 0.67, both p < 0.01), or PVTT (HR: 0.49 and 0.58, both p < 0.01), but not among patients with large HCC (⩾5 cm). Conclusion: Postoperative adjuvant TACE may be effective to improve OS and DFS in patients with multinodular HCC, or HCC with MVI or PVTT. Iatrogenic biliary injury (IBI) following laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is the most serious iatrogenic complications. Little is known whether LC-IBI would lead to surgeon's severe mental distress (SMD). A cross-sectional survey in the form of electronic questionnaire was conducted among Chinese general surgeons who have caused LC-IBI. The six collected clinical features relating to mental distress included: 1) feeling burnout, anxiety, or depression, 2) avoiding performing LC, 3) having physical reactions when recalling the incidence, 4) having the urge to quit surgery, 5) taking psychiatric medications, and 6) seeking professional psychological counseling. Univariable and multivariable analyses were performed to identify risk factors of SMD, which was defined as meeting ≥3 of the above-mentioned clinical features. Among 1466 surveyed surgeons, 1236 (84.3%) experienced mental distress following LC-IBI, and nearly half (49.7%, 614/1236) had SMD. Multivariable analyses demonstrated that surgeons from non-university affiliated hospitals (OR:1.873), patients who required multiple repair operations (OR:4.075), patients who required hepaticojejunostomy/partial hepatectomy (OR:1.859), existing lawsuit litigation (OR:10.491), existing violent doctor–patient conflicts (OR:4.995), needing surgeons' personal compensation (OR:2.531), and additional administrative punishment by hospitals (OR:2.324) were independent risk factors of surgeon's SMD. Four out of five surgeons experienced mental distress following LC-IBI, and nearly half had SMD. Aiming to solve the computational cost problem in the discrete element simulation for lunar soil drilling sampling, an equivalent boundary method was proposed. A high-accuracy DEM model of lunar soil was established firstly. As the novel alterable constitutive law, the accuracy of the model was verified to meet the performance of real lunar soil very much both in shear strength indices and elastic–plastic behavior. A common drill bit in the geological exploration field for sampling soil was chosen as the simulation object. In preanalysis, it was known that with the increase of drilling depth, the stress concentration area was always near the drill bit, while the affected area of the lunar soil was a cylindrical area around the drill pipe, which extended towards the drilling direction instead of extending around it. Then a big boundary drilling simulation scene was established to investigate the flow direction of lunar soil particles. The motion law of particles and the velocity field information were obtained, and a U-shape chain was described around the drill bit. Finally an equivalent boundary was set near the U-shaped chain, and the size was determined by comparing the soil stress in the fierce collision zone and around the reference boundary. The accuracy of discrete element model has great influence on the DEM simulations of lunar soil, especially on the soil-tool interaction simulations. In this paper, the mechanical property of lunar soil is classified into three categories and the particularity of shear strength is newly explained as higher internal friction angle and lower cohesion with respect to Earth soil, and the plasticity performance of lunar soil is emphasized. Two different constitutive laws are established as non-cohesion and apparent-cohesion ones, mainly distinguished by spring tension. Then four common kinds of addition methods of tension are introduced and compared in terms of limiting particles' motion. The reason why spring tension is the most suitable tension model to simulate the cementing bond is analyzed from the perspective of soil aggregation theory and lunar soil chemical composition. An initial bonding state assumption is proposed, based on which a new alterable constitutive law is established to obtain a high-accuracy DEM model of lunar soil. Aging of the population and prolonged life expectancy have significantly increased the number of elderly patients undergoing hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, potential benefits, especially long-term oncologic outcomes of hepatectomy for elderly patients with HCC remain unclear. Patients treated with curative-intent hepatectomy for HCC in 8 Chinese hospitals were enrolled. Patients were divided into the elderly (≥70 years old) and younger (<70 years old) groups. Overall survival (OS), cancer-specific survival (CSS), and time-to-recurrence (TTR) were compared. Risk factors of CSS and TTR were evaluated by univariable and multivariable competing-risk regression analyses. Of 2134 patients, 259 (12.1%) and 1875 (87.9%) were elderly and younger aged, respectively. Postoperative 30-day and 90-day mortality was comparable among elderly and younger patients. Compared with younger patients, the elderly had a worse 5-year OS (49.4% vs. 55.3%, P = 0.032), yet a better 5-year CCS (74.5% vs. 61.0%, P = 0.005) and a lower 5-year TTR (33.7% vs. 44.9%, P < 0.001), respectively. Multivariable analyses identified that elder age was independently associated with more favorable CSS (HR 0.74, 95%CI 0.58–0.90, P = 0.011) and TTR (0.69, 0.53–0.88, P < 0.001) but was not associated with OS (P = 0.136). Age by itself is not a contraindication to surgery, and selected elderly patients with HCC can benefit from hepatectomy. This paper examines the threshold effect of resource misallocation between specialization and technological innovation performance in the high-tech industry in China. Contrary to the existing literature, this paper applies the static panel threshold model to evaluate the threshold effect of industrial specialization on the innovation performance, including the single threshold effect and double threshold effect. The empirical results shed new light on the topic and signified that high-tech industry specialization has a nonlinear effect on innovation performance and the resource misallocation threshold. This paper unveils a novel, double threshold effect of resource misallocation between industrial specialization and innovation performance. In order to realize the beamforming and suppress the side lobe of the sparse antenna array, a hybrid sparse antenna array optimization algorithm based on orthogonal perturbation method (OPM) and convex (CVX) optimization is proposed. The algorithm aims at the expected beam response of main lobe and the suppression of peak side lobe level (PSLL). The OPM is used to optimize the array layout, and it can improve the time performance of pattern synthesis with its deterministic numerical characteristic. Because it is a local optimization algorithm, its optimal effect depends on the initial array layout and element excitation coefficient. Therefore, considering that the local optimal solution of the CVX algorithm is the global optimal solution, the CVX algorithm is used to obtain the optimal element excitation coefficient to achieve the expected beam response of the main lobe.
