Gender-based violence has assumed an increasing and constant position in official data and, therefore, there is an even greater need to promote prevention and coping mechanisms. Given this scenario, the present article intends to verify if the restorative practices in fact promote the realization of the human rights of women who suffer gender violence. In this context, the question is: do restorative practices actually promote the realization of the human rights of women who suffer gender violence? In order to come up with some answers, we sought to conduct a survey of data on the current rates of gender violence in the country; analyze which are the norms that discipline the application of restorative practices in Brazil and, finally, bring some examples of projects that already use restorative practices in situations involving gender violence. In the construction of the article, the deductive approach was used and the bibliographic and documentary research techniques were used. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
