In this paper, the system performance for a wireless-powered relaying mixed underwater wireless optical communication-radio frequency (UWOC-RF) network is investigated. In particular, a source sends an optical signal to a power-constrained marine relay, which simultaneously harvests energy from the surrounding environment and processes the received optical signal with an amplify-and-forward protocol and converts it into an electric one before broadcasting it to the destination. Assuming the UWOC and the RF channels undergo a mixture Exponential-Generalized Gamma fading and Nakagami- m fading, the closed-form and asymptotic expressions for outage probability and the diversity order are obtained. Furthermore, the average capacity and average bit error rate are also presented. Monte-Carlo simulations are also used to validate the correctness of those derived results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
