Emotion recognition through speech is a technique employed in various scenarios of Human–Computer Interaction (HCI). Existing approaches have achieved significant results; however, limitations persist, with the quantity and diversity of data being more notable when deep learning techniques are used. The lack of a standard in feature selection leads to continuous development and experimentation. Choosing and designing the appropriate network architecture constitutes another challenge. This study addresses the challenge of recognizing emotions in the human voice using deep learning techniques, proposing a comprehensive approach, and developing preprocessing and feature selection stages while constructing a dataset called EmoDSc as a result of combining several available databases. The synergy between spectral features and spectrogram images is investigated. Independently, the weighted accuracy obtained using only spectral features was 89%, while using only spectrogram images, the weighted accuracy reached 90%. These results, although surpassing previous research, highlight the strengths and limitations when operating in isolation. Based on this exploration, a neural network architecture composed of a CNN1D, a CNN2D, and an MLP that fuses spectral features and spectogram images is proposed. The early detection of liver fibrosis is of significant importance. Deep learning analysis of ultrasound backscattered radiofrequency (RF) signals is emerging for tissue characterization as the RF signals carry abundant information related to tissue microstructures. However, the existing methods only used the time-domain information of the RF signals for liver fibrosis assessment, and the liver region of interest (ROI) is outlined manually. In this study, we proposed an approach for liver fibrosis assessment using deep learning models on ultrasound RF signals. The proposed method consisted of two-dimensional (2D) convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for automatic liver ROI segmentation from reconstructed B-mode ultrasound images and one-dimensional (1D) CNNs for liver fibrosis stage classification based on the frequency spectra (amplitude, phase, and power) of the segmented ROI signals. The Fourier transform was used to obtain the three kinds of frequency spectra. Two classical 2D CNNs were employed for liver ROI segmentation: U-Net and Attention U-Net. ROI spectrum signals were normalized and augmented using a sliding window technique. Ultrasound RF signals collected (with a 3-MHz transducer) from 613 participants (Group A) were included for liver ROI segmentation and those from 237 participants (Group B) for liver fibrosis stage classification, with a liver biopsy as the reference standard (Fibrosis stage: F0 = 27, F1 = 49, F2 = 51, F3 = 49, F4 = 61). In the test set of Group A, U-Net and Attention U-Net yielded Dice similarity coefficients of 95.05% and 94.68%, respectively. In the test set of Group B, the 1D CNN performed the best when using ROI phase spectrum signals to evaluate liver fibrosis stages ≥F1 (area under the receive operating characteristic curve, AUC: 0.957; accuracy: 89.19%; sensitivity: 85.17%; specificity: 93.75%), ≥F2 (AUC: 0.808; accuracy: 83.34%; sensitivity: 87.50%; specificity: 78.57%), and ≥F4 (AUC: 0.876; accuracy: 85.71%; sensitivity: 77.78%; specificity: 94.12%), and when using the power spectrum signals to evaluate ≥F3 (AUC: 0.729; accuracy: 77.14%; sensitivity: 77.27%; specificity: 76.92%). The experimental results demonstrated the feasibility of both the 2D and 1D CNNs in liver parenchyma detection and liver fibrosis characterization. The proposed methods have provided a new strategy for liver fibrosis assessment based on ultrasound RF signals, especially for early fibrosis detection. Precise measurement of fiber diameter in animal and synthetic textiles is crucial for quality assessment and pricing; however, traditional methods often struggle with accuracy, particularly when fibers are densely packed or overlapping. Current computer vision techniques, while useful, have limitations in addressing these challenges. This paper introduces a novel deep-learning-based method to automatically generate distance maps of fiber micrographs, enabling more accurate fiber segmentation and diameter calculation. Our approach utilizes a modified U-Net architecture, trained on both real and simulated micrographs, to regress distance maps. This allows for the effective separation of individual fibers, even in complex scenarios. The model achieves a mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.1094 and a mean square error (MSE) of 0.0711 , demonstrating its effectiveness in accurately measuring fiber diameters. Short-term load forecasting is a challenging research problem and has a tremendous impact on electricity generation, transmission, and distribution. A robust forecasting algorithm can help power system operators to better tackle the ever-changing electric power demand. This paper presents a novel deep neural network for short-term electric load forecasting for the St. John's campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN). The electric load data are obtained from the Memorial University of Newfoundland and combined with metrological data from St. John's. This dataset is used to formulate a multivariate time-series forecasting problem. A novel deep learning algorithm is presented, consisting of a 1D Convolutional Neural Network, which is followed by an encoder–decoder-based network with attention. The input used for this model is the electric load consumption and metrological data, while the output is the hourly prediction of the next day. The model is compared with Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) and Long Short Term Memory (LSTM)-based Recurrent Neural Network. A CNN-based encoder–decoder model without attention is also tested. The proposed model shows a lower mean absolute error (MAE), mean squared error (MSE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), and higher R2 score. With the development of the power system, power users begin to use their own power supply in order to improve the power economy, but this also leads to the occurrence of the risk of self-provided power supply. The actual distribution network has few samples of power supply risk and it is difficult to identify the power supply risk by using conventional deep learning methods. In order to achieve high accuracy of self-provided power supply risk identification with small samples, this paper proposes a combination of transfer learning, convolutional block attention module (CBAM), and convolutional neural network (CNN) to identify the risk of self-provided power supply in an active distribution network. Firstly, in order to be able to further identify whether or not a risk will be caused based on completing the identification of the faulty line, we propose that it is necessary to identify whether or not the captive power supply on the faulty line is in operation. Second, in order to achieve high-precision identification and high-efficiency feature extraction, we propose to embed the CBAM into a CNN to form a CBAM-CNN model, so as to achieve high-efficiency feature extraction and high-precision risk identification. Finally, the use of transfer learning is proposed to solve the problem of low risk identification accuracy due to the small number of actual fault samples. Simulation experiments show that compared with other methods, the proposed method has the highest recognition accuracy and the best effect, and the risk recognition accuracy of active distribution network backup power is high in the case of fewer samples. Although advanced deep learning techniques have significantly improved SAR ship detection, accurately detecting small ships remains challenging due to their limited size and the few appearance and geometric clues available. In order to solve this problem, we propose several small object detection strategies. The backbone network uses space-to-depth convolution to replace stride and pooling. It reduces information loss during down-sampling. The neck integrates multiple layers of features globally and injects global and local information into different levels. It avoids the inherent information loss of traditional feature pyramid networks and strengthens the information fusion ability without significantly increasing latency. The proposed intersection-of-union considers the center distance and scale of small ships specifically. It reduces the sensitivity of intersection-of-union to positional deviations of small ships, which is helpful for training toward small ships. During training, the smaller the localization loss of small ships, the greater their localization loss gains are. By this, the supervision of small ships is strengthened in the loss function, which can make the losses more biased toward small ships. A series of experiments are conducted on two commonly used datasets, SSDD and SAR-Ship-Dataset. Hyperspectral unmixing (HU) aims to decompose mixed pixels into a set of endmembers and corresponding abundances. Deep learning-based HU methods are currently a hot research topic, but most existing unmixing methods still rely on per-pixel training or employ convolutional neural networks (CNNs), which overlook the non-local correlations of materials and spectral characteristics. Furthermore, current research mainly focuses on linear mixing models, which limits the feature extraction capability of deep encoders and further improvement in unmixing accuracy. In this paper, we propose a nonlinear unmixing network capable of extracting global spatial-spectral features. The network is designed based on an autoencoder architecture, where a dual-stream CNNs is employed in the encoder to separately extract spectral and local spatial information. The extracted features are then fused together to form a more complete representation of the input data. Subsequently, a linear projection-based multi-head self-attention mechanism is applied to capture global contextual information, allowing for comprehensive spatial information extraction while maintaining lightweight computation. To achieve better reconstruction performance, a model-free nonlinear mixing approach is adopted to enhance the model's universality, with the mixing model learned entirely from the data. Additionally, an initialization method based on endmember bundles is utilized to reduce interference from outliers and noise. Prostate cancer remains a leading cause of mortality among men globally, necessitating advancements in diagnostic methodologies to improve detection and treatment outcomes. Magnetic Resonance Imaging has emerged as a crucial technique for the detection of prostate cancer, with current research focusing on the integration of deep learning frameworks to refine this diagnostic process. This study employs a comprehensive approach using multiple deep learning models, including a three-dimensional (3D) Convolutional Neural Network, a Residual Network, and an Inception Network to enhance the accuracy and robustness of prostate cancer detection. By leveraging the complementary strengths of these models through an ensemble method and soft voting technique, the study aims to achieve superior diagnostic performance. The proposed methodology demonstrates state-of-the-art results, with the ensemble model achieving an overall accuracy of 91.3%, a sensitivity of 90.2%, a specificity of 92.1%, a precision of 89.8%, and an F1 score of 90.0% when applied to MRI images from the SPIE-AAPM-NCI PROSTATEx dataset. Deep learning models have demonstrated potential in Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) for rotating machinery, such as induction motors (IMs). However, their performance is significantly influenced by the size of the training dataset and the way signals are presented to the model. When trained on segmented signals over a fixed period, the model's accuracy can decline when tested on signals that differ from the training interval or are randomly sampled. Conversely, models utilizing data augmentation techniques exhibit better generalization to unseen conditions. This paper highlights the bias introduced by traditional training methods towards specific periodic waveform sampling and proposes a new method to augment phase current signals during training using a shifting window technique. Magnetic field is one of the basic data for constructing a transformer digital twin. The finite element transient simulation takes a long time and cannot meet the real-time requirements of a digital twin. According to the nonlinear characteristics of the core and the timing characteristics of the magnetic field, this paper proposes a fast calculation method of the spatial magnetic field of the transformer, considering the nonlinear characteristics of the core. Firstly, based on the geometric and electrical parameters of the single-phase double-winding test transformer, the corresponding finite element simulation model is built. Secondly, the key parameters of the finite element model are parametrically scanned to obtain the nonlinear working condition data set of the test transformer. Finally, a deep learning network integrating a convolutional neural network (CNN) and a long short-term memory network (LSTM) is built to train the mapping relationship between winding voltage, current, and the spatial magnetic field so as to realize the rapid calculation of the transformer magnetic field. The results show that the calculation time of the deep learning model is greatly shortened compared with the finite element model, and the model calculation results are consistent with the experimental measurement results. Falls among the elderly are a common and serious health risk that can lead to physical injuries and other complications. To promptly detect and respond to fall events, radar-based fall detection systems have gained widespread attention. In this paper, a deep learning model is proposed based on the frequency spectrum of radar signals, called the convolutional bidirectional long short-term memory (CB-LSTM) model. The introduction of the CB-LSTM model enables the fall detection system to capture both temporal sequential and spatial features simultaneously, thereby enhancing the accuracy and reliability of the detection. Extensive comparison experiments demonstrate that our model achieves an accuracy of 98.83% in detecting falls, surpassing other relevant methods currently available. In summary, this study provides effective technical support using the frequency spectrum and deep learning methods to monitor falls among the elderly through the design and experimental validation of a radar-based fall detection system, which has great potential for improving quality of life for the elderly and providing timely rescue measures. Tool condition monitoring technology is an indispensable part of intelligent manufacturing. Most current research focuses on complex signal processing techniques or advanced deep learning algorithms to improve prediction performance without fully leveraging the end-to-end advantages of deep learning. The challenge lies in transforming multi-sensor raw data into input data suitable for direct model feeding, all while minimizing data scale and preserving sufficient temporal interpretation of tool wear. However, there is no clear reference standard for this so far. In light of this, this paper innovatively explores the processing methods that transform raw data into input data for deep learning models, a process known as an input paradigm. This paper introduces three new input paradigms: the downsampling paradigm, the periodic paradigm, and the subsequence paradigm. Then an improved hybrid model that combines a convolutional neural network (CNN) and bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) was employed to validate the model's performance. The subsequence paradigm demonstrated considerable superiority in prediction results based on the PHM2010 dataset, as the newly generated time series maintained the integrity of the raw data. Further investigation revealed that, with 120 subsequences and the temporal indicator being the maximum value, the model's mean absolute error (MAE) and root mean square error (RMSE) were the lowest after threefold cross-validation, outperforming several classical and contemporary methods. With the rapid advancement of the Internet of Things, network security has garnered increasing attention from researchers. Applying deep learning (DL) has significantly enhanced the performance of Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDSs). However, due to its complexity and "black box" problem, deploying DL-based NIDS models in practical scenarios poses several challenges, including model interpretability and being lightweight. Feature selection (FS) in DL models plays a crucial role in minimizing model parameters and decreasing computational overheads while enhancing NIDS performance. Hence, selecting effective features remains a pivotal concern for NIDSs. In light of this, this paper proposes an interpretable feature selection method for encrypted traffic intrusion detection based on SHAP and causality principles. This approach utilizes the results of model interpretation for feature selection to reduce feature count while ensuring model reliability. We evaluate and validate our proposed method on two public network traffic datasets, CICIDS2017 and NSL-KDD, employing both a CNN and a random forest (RF). In recent years, deep learning techniques for pansharpening multiresolution images have gained increasing interest. Due to the lack of ground truth data, most deep learning solutions rely on synthetic reduced-resolution data for supervised training. This approach has limitations due to the statistical mismatch between real full-resolution and synthetic reduced-resolution data, which affects the models' generalization capacity. Consequently, there has been a shift towards unsupervised learning frameworks for pansharpening deep learning-based techniques. Unsupervised schemes require defining sophisticated loss functions with at least two components: one for spectral quality, ensuring consistency between the pansharpened image and the input multispectral component, and another for spatial quality, ensuring consistency between the output and the panchromatic input. Despite promising results, there has been limited investigation into the interaction and balance of these loss terms to ensure stability and accuracy. This work explores how unsupervised spatial and spectral consistency losses can be reliably combined preserving the outocome quality. By examining these interactions, we propose a general rule for balancing the two loss components to enhance the stability and performance of unsupervised pansharpening models. Experiments on three state-of-the-art algorithms using WorldView-3 images demonstrate that methods trained with the proposed framework achieve good performance in terms of visual quality and numerical indexes. The vulnerability of modern neural networks to random noise and deliberate attacks has raised concerns about their robustness, particularly as they are increasingly utilized in safety- and security-critical applications. Although recent research efforts were made to enhance robustness through retraining with adversarial examples or employing data augmentation techniques, a comprehensive investigation into the effects of training data perturbations on model robustness remains lacking. This paper presents the first extensive empirical study investigating the influence of data perturbations during model retraining. The experimental analysis focuses on both random and adversarial robustness, following established practices in the field of robustness analysis. Various types of perturbations in different aspects of the dataset are explored, including input, label, and sampling distribution. Single-factor and multi-factor experiments are conducted to assess individual perturbations and their combinations. The findings provide insights into constructing high-quality training datasets for optimizing robustness and recommend the appropriate degree of training set perturbations that balance robustness and correctness, and contribute to understanding model robustness in deep learning and offer practical guidance for enhancing model performance through perturbed retraining, promoting the development of more reliable and trustworthy deep learning systems for safety-critical applications. Pinhole corrosions on oil and gas pipelines are difficult to detect and size and, therefore, pose a significant challenge to the pipeline integrity management practice. This study develops two convolutional neural network (CNN) models to identify pinholes and predict the sizes and location of the pinhole corrosions according to the magnetic flux leakage signals generated using the magneto-static finite element analysis. Extensive three-dimensional parametric finite element analysis cases are generated to train and validate the two CNN models. Additionally, comprehensive algorithm analysis evaluates the model performance, providing insights into the practical application of CNN models in pipeline integrity management. The proposed classification CNN model is shown to be highly accurate in classifying pinholes and pinhole-in-general corrosion defects. The proposed regression CNN model is shown to be highly accurate in predicting the location of the pinhole and obtain a reasonably high accuracy in estimating the depth and diameter of the pinhole, even in the presence of measurement noises. Currently, the decision boundary of the multi-class anomaly detection algorithm based on deep learning does not sufficiently capture the positive class region, posing a risk of abnormal sample features falling into the domain of normal sample features and potentially leading to misleading outcomes in practical applications. In response to the above problems, this paper proposes a new method called multi-class hypersphere anomaly detection (MMHAD) based on the edge outlier exposure set and margin. The method aims to utilize convolutional neural networks for joint training of all normal object classes, identifying a shared set of outlier exposures, learning compact identification features, and setting appropriate edge parameters to guide the model in mapping outliers outside the hypersphere. This approach enables more comprehensive detection of various types of exceptions. The experiments demonstrate that the algorithm is superior to the most advanced baseline method, with an improvement of 26.0%, 8.2%, and 20.1% on CIFAR-10 and 14.8%, 12.0%, and 20.1% on FMNIST in the cases of (2/8), (5/5), and (9,1), respectively. Furthermore, we investigate the challenging (2/18) case on CIFAR-100, where our method achieves approximately 17.4% AUROC gain. Lastly, for a recycling waste dataset with the (4/1) case, our MMHAD yields a notable 22% enhancement in performance. Segmenting the left ventricle from the transgastric short-axis views (TSVs) on transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is the cornerstone for cardiovascular assessment during perioperative management. Even for seasoned professionals, the procedure remains time-consuming and experience-dependent. The current study aims to evaluate the feasibility of deep learning for automatic segmentation by assessing the validity of different U-Net algorithms. A large dataset containing 1388 TSV acquisitions was retrospectively collected from 451 patients (32% women, average age 53.42 years) who underwent perioperative TEE between July 2015 and October 2023. With image preprocessing and data augmentation, 3336 images were included in the training set, 138 images in the validation set, and 138 images in the test set. Four deep neural networks (U-Net, Attention U-Net, UNet++, and UNeXt) were employed for left ventricle segmentation and compared in terms of the Jaccard similarity coefficient (JSC) and Dice similarity coefficient (DSC) on the test set, as well as the number of network parameters, training time, and inference time. The Attention U-Net and U-Net++ models performed better in terms of JSC (the highest average JSC: 86.02%) and DSC (the highest average DSC: 92.00%), the UNeXt model had the smallest network parameters (1.47 million), and the U-Net model had the least training time (6428.65 s) and inference time for a single image (101.75 ms). The Attention U-Net model outperformed the other three models in challenging cases, including the impaired boundary of left ventricle and the artifact of the papillary muscle. This pioneering exploration demonstrated the feasibility of deep learning for the segmentation of the left ventricle from TSV on TEE, which will facilitate an accelerated and objective alternative of cardiovascular assessment for perioperative management. Nowadays, technology allows people to connect and communicate with each other even from miles away, no matter the distance. With the increased use of social networks that were rapidly adopted in human beings' lives, they can chat and share different media files. While the intent for which they have been created may be positive, they can be abused and utilized in a negative way. One form in which they can be maliciously used is represented by cyberbullying. This is a form of bullying where an aggressor shares, posts, or sends false, harmful, or negative content about someone else by electronic means. In this paper, we propose a solution for bullying detection in GIFs. We employ a hybrid architecture that comprises a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and three Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs). Traditional image classification usually relies on manual feature extraction; however, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence and intelligent vision technology, deep learning models such as CNNs can automatically extract key features from input images to achieve efficient classification. This study focuses on the application of lightweight separable convolutional neural networks in domain-specific image classification tasks. In this paper, we discuss how to use the SSDLite object detection algorithm combined with the MobileNetV2 lightweight convolutional architecture for puppet dynasty recognition from images—a novel and challenging task. This study presents a concrete stress monitoring method utilizing 1D CNN deep learning of raw electromechanical impedance (EMI) signals measured with a capsule-like smart aggregate (CSA) sensor. Firstly, the CSA-based EMI measurement technique is presented by depicting a prototype of the CSA sensor and a 2 degrees of freedom (2 DOFs) EMI model for the CSA sensor embedded in a concrete cylinder. Secondly, the 1D CNN deep regression model is designed to adapt raw EMI responses from the CSA sensor for estimating concrete stresses. Thirdly, a CSA-embedded cylindrical concrete structure is experimented with to acquire EMI responses under various compressive loading levels. A technique is proposed to detect the presence of the multipath effect in Global Navigation Satellite Signal (GNSS) signals using a convolutional neural network (CNN) as the building block. The network is trained and validated, for a wide range of C / N 0 values, with a realistic dataset constituted by the synthetic noisy outputs of a 2D grid of correlators associated with different Doppler frequencies and code delays (time-domain dataset). Multipath-disturbed signals are generated in agreement with the various scenarios encompassed by the adopted multipath model. It was found that pre-processing the outputs of the correlators grid with the two-dimensional Discrete Fourier Transform (frequency-domain dataset) enables the CNN to improve the accuracy relative to the time-domain dataset. Depending on the kind of CNN outputs, two strategies can then be devised to solve the equation of navigation: either remove the disturbed signal from the equation (hard decision) or process the pseudoranges with a weighted least-squares algorithm, where the entries of the weighting matrix are computed using the analog outputs of the neural network (soft decision). Understanding road conditions is essential for implementing effective road safety measures and driving solutions. Road situations encompass the day-to-day conditions of roads, including the presence of vehicles and pedestrians. Surveillance cameras strategically placed along streets have been instrumental in monitoring road situations and providing valuable information on pedestrians, moving vehicles, and objects within road environments. However, these video data and information are stored in large volumes, making analysis tedious and time-consuming. Deep learning models are increasingly utilized to monitor vehicles and identify and evaluate road and driving comfort situations. However, the current neural network model requires the recognition of situations using time-series video data. In this paper, we introduced a multi-directional detection model for road situations to uphold high accuracy. Deep learning methods often integrate long short-term memory (LSTM) into long-term recurrent network architectures. This approach effectively combines recurrent neural networks to capture temporal dependencies and convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to extract features from extensive video data. In our proposed method, we form a multi-directional long-term recurrent convolutional network approach with two groups equipped with CNN and two layers of LSTM. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of our deep learning algorithm in calculating cardiothoracic ratio (CTR) and thus in the assessment of cardiomegaly or pericardial effusion occurrences on chest radiography (CXR). Methods: From a database of 8000 CXRs, 13 folders with a comparable number of images were created. Then, 1020 images were chosen randomly, in proportion to the number of images in each folder. Afterward, CTR was calculated using RadiAnt Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Viewer software (2023.1). Next, heart and lung anatomical areas were marked in 3D Slicer. From these data, we trained an AI model which segmented heart and lung anatomy and determined the CTR value. Results: Our model achieved an Intersection over Union metric of 88.28% for the augmented training subset and 83.06% for the validation subset. F1-score for subsets were accordingly 90.22% and 90.67%. In the comparative analysis of artificial intelligence (AI) vs. humans, significantly lower transverse thoracic diameter (TTD) (p < 0.001), transverse cardiac diameter (TCD) (p < 0.001), and CTR (p < 0.001) values obtained using the neural network were observed. Conclusions: Results confirm that there is a significant correlation between the measurements made by human observers and the neural network. Background/Objectives: This study aims to create a strong binary classifier and evaluate the performance of pre-trained convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to effectively distinguish between benign and malignant ovarian tumors from still ultrasound images. Methods: The dataset consisted of 3510 ultrasound images from 585 women with ovarian tumors, 390 benign and 195 malignant, that were classified by experts and verified by histopathology. A 20% to80% split for training and validation was applied within a k-fold cross-validation framework, ensuring comprehensive utilization of the dataset. The final classifier was an aggregate of three pre-trained CNNs (VGG16, ResNet50, and InceptionNet), with experimentation focusing on the aggregation weights and decision threshold probability for the classification of each mass. Results: The aggregate model outperformed all individual models, achieving an average sensitivity of 96.5% and specificity of 88.1% compared to the subjective assessment's (SA) 95.9% sensitivity and 93.9% specificity. All the above results were calculated at a decision threshold probability of 0.2. Notably, misclassifications made by the model were similar to those made by SA. Utilizing deep learning for semantic segmentation of cropland from remote sensing imagery has become a crucial technique in land surveys. Cropland is highly heterogeneous and fragmented, and existing methods often suffer from inaccurate boundary segmentation. This paper introduces a UNet-like boundary-aware compensation model (BAFormer). Cropland boundaries typically exhibit rapid transformations in pixel values and texture features, often appearing as high-frequency features in remote sensing images. To enhance the recognition of these high-frequency features as represented by cropland boundaries, the proposed BAFormer integrates a Feature Adaptive Mixer (FAM) and develops a Depthwise Large Kernel Multi-Layer Perceptron model (DWLK-MLP) to enrich the global and local cropland boundaries features separately. Specifically, FAM enhances the boundary-aware method by adaptively acquiring high-frequency features through convolution and self-attention advantages, while DWLK-MLP further supplements boundary position information using a large receptive field. The efficacy of BAFormer has been evaluated on datasets including Vaihingen, Potsdam, LoveDA, and Mapcup. It demonstrates high performance, achieving mIoU scores of 84.5%, 87.3%, 53.5%, and 83.1% on these datasets, respectively. With the rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT), the sophistication and intelligence of sensors are continually evolving, playing increasingly important roles in smart homes, industrial automation, and remote healthcare. However, these intelligent sensors face many security threats, particularly from malware attacks. Identifying and classifying malware is crucial for preventing such attacks. As the number of sensors and their applications grow, malware targeting sensors proliferates. Processing massive malware samples is challenging due to limited bandwidth and resources in IoT environments. Therefore, compressing malware samples before transmission and classification can improve efficiency. Additionally, sharing malware samples between classification participants poses security risks, necessitating methods that prevent sample exploitation. Moreover, the complex network environments also necessitate robust classification methods. To address these challenges, this paper proposes CSMC (Compressed Sensing Malware Classification), an efficient malware classification method based on compressed sensing. This method compresses malware samples before sharing and classification, thus facilitating more effective sharing and processing. By introducing deep learning, the method can extract malware family features during compression, which classical methods cannot achieve. Furthermore, the irreversibility of the method enhances security by preventing classification participants from exploiting malware samples. Experimental results demonstrate that for malware targeting Windows and Android operating systems, CSMC outperforms many existing methods based on compressed sensing and machine or deep learning. A two-stream convolutional neural network (TCNN) for breathing pattern classification has been devised for the continuous monitoring of patients with infectious respiratory diseases. The TCNN consists of a convolutional neural network (CNN)-based autoencoder and classifier. The encoder of the autoencoder generates deep compressed feature maps, which contain the most important information constituting data. These maps are concatenated with feature maps generated by the classifier to classify breathing patterns. The TCNN, single-stream CNN (SCNN), and state-of-the-art classification models were applied to classify four breathing patterns: normal, slow, rapid, and breath holding. The input data consisted of chest tissue hemodynamic responses measured using a wearable near-infrared spectroscopy device on 14 healthy adult participants. Among the classification models evaluated, random forest had the lowest classification accuracy at 88.49%, while the TCNN achieved the highest classification accuracy at 94.63%. In addition, the proposed TCNN performed 2.6% better in terms of classification accuracy than an SCNN (without an autoencoder). Moreover, the TCNN mitigates the issue of declining learning performance with increasing network depth, as observed in the SCNN model. Public authorities and private companies have used video cameras as part of surveillance systems, and one of their objectives is the rapid detection of physically violent actions. This task is usually performed by human visual inspection, which is labor-intensive. For this reason, different deep learning models have been implemented to remove the human eye from this task, yielding positive results. One of the main problems in detecting physical violence in videos is the variety of scenarios that can exist, which leads to different models being trained on datasets, leading them to detect physical violence in only one or a few types of videos. In this work, we present an approach for physical violence detection on images obtained from video based on threshold active learning, that increases the classifier's robustness in environments where it was not trained. The proposed approach consists of two stages: In the first stage, pre-trained neural network models are trained on initial datasets, and we use a threshold (μ) to identify those images that the classifier considers ambiguous or hard to classify. Then, they are included in the training dataset, and the model is retrained to improve its classification performance. In the second stage, we test the model with video images from other environments, and we again employ (μ) to detect ambiguous images that a human expert analyzes to determine the real class or delete the ambiguity on them. After that, the ambiguous images are added to the original training set and the classifier is retrained; this process is repeated while ambiguous images exist. The model is a hybrid neural network that uses transfer learning and a threshold μ to detect physical violence on images obtained from video files successfully. In this active learning process, the classifier can detect physical violence in different environments, where the main contribution is the method used to obtain a threshold μ (which is based on the neural network output) that allows human experts to contribute to the classification process to obtain more robust neural networks and high-quality datasets. Skin lesion classification is vital for the early detection and diagnosis of skin diseases, facilitating timely intervention and treatment. However, existing classification methods face challenges in managing complex information and long-range dependencies in dermoscopic images. Therefore, this research aims to enhance the feature representation by incorporating local, global, and hierarchical features to improve the performance of skin lesion classification. We introduce a novel dual-track deep learning (DL) model in this research for skin lesion classification. The first track utilizes a modified Densenet-169 architecture that incorporates a Coordinate Attention Module (CoAM). The second track employs a customized convolutional neural network (CNN) comprising a Feature Pyramid Network (FPN) and Global Context Network (GCN) to capture multiscale features and global contextual information. The local features from the first track and the global features from second track are used for precise localization and modeling of the long-range dependencies. By leveraging these architectural advancements within the DenseNet framework, the proposed neural network achieved better performance compared to previous approaches. Low-current grounding systems are the main grounding method used in power distribution networks and belong to non-direct grounding systems. The most common fault in this type of system is a single-phase grounding fault, which may cause electrical fires and endanger personal safety. Due to the difficulty of troubleshooting, the selection of fault lines in low-current grounding systems has always been an important research topic in power system relay protection. This study proposes a new approach for fault identification of power lines based on the Euler transformation and deep learning. Firstly, the current signals of the distribution network are rapidly Fourier-transformed to obtain their frequencies for constructing reference signals. Then, the current signals are combined with the reference signals and transformed into images using Euler transformation in the complex plane. The images are then classified using a residual network model. The convolutional neural network in the model can automatically extract fault feature vectors, thus achieving the identification of faulty lines. The simulation was conducted based on the existing model, and extensive data training and testing were performed. The experimental results show that this method has good stability, fast convergence speed, and high accuracy. The traditional method for retrieving cloud optical thickness (COT) is carried out through a Look-Up Table (LUT). Researchers must make a series of idealized assumptions and conduct extensive observations and record features in this scenario, consuming considerable resources. The emergence of deep learning effectively addresses the shortcomings of the traditional approach. In this paper, we first propose a daytime (SOZA < 70°) COT retrieval algorithm based on FY-4A AGRI. We establish and train a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model for COT retrieval, CM4CR, with the CALIPSO's COT product spatially and temporally synchronized as the ground truth. Then, a deep learning method extended from video prediction models is adopted to predict COT values based on the retrieval results obtained from CM4CR. The COT prediction model (CPM) consists of an encoder, a predictor, and a decoder. On this basis, we further incorporated a time embedding module to enhance the model's ability to learn from irregular time intervals in the input COT sequence. During the training phase, we employed Charbonnier Loss and Edge Loss to enhance the model's capability to represent COT details. Experiments indicate that our CM4CR outperforms existing COT retrieval methods, with predictions showing better performance across several metrics than other benchmark prediction models. Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a heterogenous blood cancer with a dismal prognosis. It emanates from leukemic stem cells (LSCs) arising from the genetic transformation of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). LSCs hold prognostic value, but their molecular and immunophenotypic heterogeneity poses challenges: there is no single marker for identifying all LSCs across AML samples. We hypothesized that imaging flow cytometry (IFC) paired with artificial intelligence-driven image analysis could visually distinguish LSCs from HSCs based solely on morphology. Initially, a seven-color IFC panel was employed to immunophenotypically identify LSCs and HSCs in bone marrow samples from five AML patients and ten healthy donors, respectively. Next, we developed convolutional neural network (CNN) models for HSC-LSC discrimination using brightfield (BF), side scatter (SSC), and DNA images. Classification using only BF images achieved 86.96% accuracy, indicating significant morphological differences. Accuracy increased to 93.42% when combining BF with DNA images, highlighting differences in nuclear morphology, although DNA images alone were inadequate for accurate HSC-LSC discrimination. Model development using SSC images revealed minor granularity differences. Performance metrics varied substantially between AML patients, indicating considerable morphologic variations among LSCs. Multi-modal medical image fusion (MMIF) is crucial for disease diagnosis and treatment because the images reconstructed from signals collected by different sensors can provide complementary information. In recent years, deep learning (DL) based methods have been widely used in MMIF. However, these methods often adopt a serial fusion strategy without feature decomposition, causing error accumulation and confusion of characteristics across different scales. To address these issues, we have proposed the Coupled Image Reconstruction and Fusion (CIRF) strategy. Our method parallels the image fusion and reconstruction branches which are linked by a common encoder. Firstly, CIRF uses the lightweight encoder to extract base and detail features, respectively, through the Vision Transformer (ViT) and the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) branches, where the two branches interact to supplement information. Then, two types of features are fused separately via different blocks and finally decoded into fusion results. In the loss function, both the supervised loss from the reconstruction branch and the unsupervised loss from the fusion branch are included. As a whole, CIRF increases its expressivity by adding multi-task learning and feature decomposition. Additionally, we have also explored the impact of image masking on the network's feature extraction ability and validated the generalization capability of the model. Through experiments on three datasets, it has been demonstrated both subjectively and objectively, that the images fused by CIRF exhibit appropriate brightness and smooth edge transition with more competitive evaluation metrics than those fused by several other traditional and DL-based methods. Research on transformers in remote sensing (RS), which started to increase after 2021, is facing the problem of a relative lack of review. To understand the trends of transformers in RS, we undertook a quantitative analysis of the major research on transformers over the past two years by dividing the application of transformers into eight domains: land use/land cover (LULC) classification, segmentation, fusion, change detection, object detection, object recognition, registration, and others. Quantitative results show that transformers achieve a higher accuracy in LULC classification and fusion, with more stable performance in segmentation and object detection. Combining the analysis results on LULC classification and segmentation, we have found that transformers need more parameters than convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Additionally, further research is also needed regarding inference speed to improve transformers' performance. It was determined that the most common application scenes for transformers in our database are urban, farmland, and water bodies. We also found that transformers are employed in the natural sciences such as agriculture and environmental protection rather than the humanities or economics. Finally, this work summarizes the analysis results of transformers in remote sensing obtained during the research process and provides a perspective on future directions of development. In this study, we propose a deep learning-based nystagmus detection algorithm using video oculography (VOG) data to diagnose benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). Various deep learning architectures were utilized to develop and evaluate nystagmus detection models. Among the four deep learning architectures used in this study, the CNN1D model proposed as a nystagmus detection model demonstrated the best performance, exhibiting a sensitivity of 94.06 ± 0.78%, specificity of 86.39 ± 1.31%, precision of 91.34 ± 0.84%, accuracy of 91.02 ± 0.66%, and an F1-score of 92.68 ± 0.55%. The aim of this article is to introduce a novel approach to identifying flow regimes and void fractions in microchannel flow boiling, which is based on binary image segmentation using digital image processing and deep learning. The proposed image processing pipeline uses adaptive thresholding, blurring, gamma correction, contour detection, and histogram comparison to separate vapor from liquid areas, while the deep learning method uses a customized version of a convolutional neural network (CNN) called U-net to extract meaningful features from video frames. Both approaches enabled the automatic detection of flow boiling conditions, such as bubbly, slug, and annular flow, as well as automatic void fraction calculation. Especially CNN demonstrated its ability to deliver fast and dependable results, presenting an appealing substitute to manual feature extraction. The U-net-based CNN was able to segment flow boiling images with a Dice score of 99.1% and classify the above flow regimes with an overall classification accuracy of 91%. Each image was then divided into 277,524 patches of 50 × 50 pixels, resulting in a diverse dataset containing 198,738 IDC-negative and 78,786 IDC-positive patches. Brain tumors necessitate swift detection and classification for optimal patient outcomes. Deep learning has been extensively utilized to recognize complex tumor patterns in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images, aiding in tumor diagnosis, treatment, and prognostication. However, model complexity and limited generalizability with unfamiliar data hinder appropriate clinical integration. The objective of this study is to develop a clean-energy cloud-based deep learning platform to classify brain tumors. Three datasets of a total of 2611 axial MRI images were used to train our multi-layer convolutional neural network (CNN). Our platform automatically optimized every transfer learning and data augmentation feature combination to provide the highest predictive accuracy for our classification task. Our proposed system identified and classified brain tumors successfully and efficiently with an overall precision value of 96.8% [95% CI; 93.8–97.6]. Using clean energy supercomputing resources and cloud platforms cut our workflow to 103 min, $0 in total cost, and a negligible carbon footprint (0.0014 kg eq CO2). Approaching precipitation forecast refers to the prediction of precipitation within a short time scale, which is usually regarded as a spatiotemporal sequence prediction problem based on radar echo maps. However, due to its reliance on single-image prediction, it lacks good capture of sudden severe convective events and physical constraints, which may lead to prediction ambiguities and issues such as false alarms and missed alarms. Therefore, this study dynamically combines meteorological elements from surface observations with upper-air reanalysis data to establish complex nonlinear relationships among meteorological variables based on multisource data. We design a Residual Spatiotemporal Convolutional Network (ResSTConvNet) specifically for this purpose. In this model, data fusion is achieved through the channel attention mechanism, which assigns weights to different channels. Feature extraction is conducted through simultaneous three-dimensional and two-dimensional convolution operations using a pure convolutional structure, allowing the learning of spatiotemporal feature information. Finally, feature fitting is accomplished through residual connections, enhancing the model's predictive capability. Furthermore, we evaluate the performance of our model in 0–3 h forecasting. The results show that compared with baseline methods, this network exhibits significantly better performance in predicting heavy rainfall. Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium. It primarily impacts the lungs but can also endanger other organs, such as the renal system, spine, and brain. When an infected individual sneezes, coughs, or speaks, the virus can spread through the air, which contributes to its high contagiousness. The goal is to enhance detection recognition with an X-ray image dataset. This paper proposed a novel approach, named the Tuberculosis Segmentation-Guided Diagnosis Model (TSSG-CNN) for Detecting Tuberculosis, using a combined semantic segmentation and adaptive convolutional neural network (CNN) architecture. The proposed approach is distinguished from most of the previously proposed approaches in that it uses the combination of a deep learning segmentation model with a follow-up classification model based on CNN layers to segment chest X-ray images more precisely as well as to improve the diagnosis of TB. It contrasts with other approaches like ILCM, which is optimized for sequential learning, and explainable AI approaches, which focus on explanations. Moreover, our model is beneficial for the simplified procedure of feature optimization from the perspectives of approach using the Mayfly Algorithm (MA). Other models, including simple CNN, Batch Normalized CNN (BN-CNN), and Dense CNN (DCNN), are also evaluated on this dataset to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The performance of the TSSG-CNN model outperformed all the models with an impressive accuracy of 98.75% and an F1 score of 98.70%. This study introduces a deep-learning-based automatic sleep scoring system to detect sleep apnea using a single-lead electrocardiography (ECG) signal, focusing on accurately estimating the apnea–hypopnea index (AHI). Unlike other research, this work emphasizes AHI estimation, crucial for the diagnosis and severity evaluation of sleep apnea. The suggested model, trained on 1465 ECG recordings, combines the deep-shallow fusion network for sleep apnea detection network (DSF-SANet) and gated recurrent units (GRUs) to analyze ECG signals at 1-min intervals, capturing sleep-related respiratory disturbances. Hydraulic infrastructures are susceptible to deformation over time, necessitating reliable monitoring and prediction methods. In this study, we address this challenge by proposing a novel approach based on the combination of Variational Mode Decomposition (VMD), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) methods for Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) deformation monitoring and prediction modeling. The VMD method is utilized to decompose the complex deformation signals into intrinsic mode functions, which are then fed into a CNN method for feature extraction. Existing studies employing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and multispectral (MS) sensors in complex natural environments have predominantly relied on classical machine learning (ML) models for mapping plant species in natural environments. However, a critical gap exists in the literature regarding the use of deep learning (DL) techniques that integrate MS data and vegetation indices (VIs) with different feature extraction techniques to map invasive species in complex natural environments. This research addresses this gap by focusing on mapping the distribution of the Broad-leaved pepper (BLP) along the coastal strip in the Sunshine Coast region of Southern Queensland in Australia. The methodology employs a dual approach, utilising classical ML models including Random Forest (RF), eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), and Support Vector Machine (SVM) in conjunction with the U-Net DL model. This comparative analysis allows for an in-depth evaluation of the performance and effectiveness of both classical ML and advanced DL techniques in mapping the distribution of BLP along the coastal strip. Results indicate that the DL U-Net model outperforms classical ML models, achieving a precision of 83%, recall of 81%, and F1–score of 82% for BLP classification during training and validation. The DL U-Net model attains a precision of 86%, recall of 76%, and F1–score of 81% for BLP classification, along with an Intersection over Union (IoU) of 68% on the separate test dataset not used for training. The progress of incorporating deep learning in the field of medical image interpretation has been greatly hindered due to the tremendous cost and time associated with generating ground truth for supervised machine learning, alongside concerns about the inconsistent quality of images acquired. Active learning offers a potential solution to these problems of expanding dataset ground truth by algorithmically choosing the most informative samples for ground truth labeling. Still, this effort incurs the costs of human labeling, which needs minimization. Furthermore, automatic labeling approaches employing active learning often exhibit overfitting tendencies while selecting samples closely aligned with the training set distribution and excluding out-of-distribution samples, which could potentially improve the model's effectiveness. We propose that the majority of out-of-distribution instances can be attributed to inconsistent cross images. Since the FDA approved the first whole-slide image system for medical diagnosis in 2017, whole-slide images have provided enriched critical information to advance the field of automated histopathology. Here, we exemplify the benefits of a novel deep learning strategy that utilizes high-resolution whole-slide microscopic images. We quantitatively assess and visually highlight the inconsistencies within the whole-slide image dataset employed in this study. Accordingly, we introduce a deep learning-based preprocessing algorithm designed to normalize unknown samples to the training set distribution, effectively mitigating the overfitting issue. Consequently, our approach significantly increases the amount of automatic region-of-interest ground truth labeling on high-resolution whole-slide images using active deep learning. We accept 92% of the automatic labels generated for our unlabeled data cohort, expanding the labeled dataset by 845%. Indoor wireless positioning has long been a dynamic field of research due to its broad application range. While many commercial products have been developed, they often are not open source or require substantial and costly infrastructure. Academically, research has extensively explored Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for positioning, yet there are a noticeable lack of studies that comprehensively compare traditional algorithms under these conditions. This research aims to fill this gap by evaluating classical positioning algorithms such as K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Weighted K-Nearest Neighbor (WKNN), Naïve Bayes (NB), and a Received Signal Strength-based Neural Network (RSS-NN) using BLE technology. We also introduce a novel method using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), specifically tailored to process RSS data structured in an image-like format. This approach helps overcome the limitations of traditional RSS fingerprinting by effectively managing the environmental dynamics within indoor settings. In our tests, all algorithms performed well, consistently achieving an average accuracy of less than two meters. Remarkably, the CNN method outperformed others, achieving an accuracy of 1.22 m. These results establish a solid basis for future research, particularly towards enhancing the precision of indoor positioning systems using deep learning for cost-effective, easy to set up applications. Electroencephalogram (EEG) has emerged as the most favorable source for recognizing brain disorders like epileptic seizure (ES) using deep learning (DL) methods. This study investigated the well-performed EEG-based ES detection method by decomposing EEG signals. Specifically, empirical mode decomposition (EMD) decomposes EEG signals into six intrinsic mode functions (IMFs). Three distinct features, namely, fluctuation index, variance, and ellipse area of the second order difference plot (SODP), were extracted from each of the IMFs. The feature values from all EEG channels were arranged in two composite feature forms: a 1D (i.e., unidimensional) form and a 2D image-like form. For ES recognition, the convolutional neural network (CNN), the most prominent DL model for 2D input, was considered for the 2D feature form, and a 1D version of CNN was employed for the 1D feature form. The experiment was conducted on a benchmark CHB-MIT dataset as well as a dataset prepared from the EEG signals of ES patients from Prince Hospital Khulna (PHK), Bangladesh. The 2D feature-based CNN model outperformed the other 1D feature-based models, showing an accuracy of 99.78% for CHB-MIT and 95.26% for PHK. Furthermore, the cross-dataset evaluations also showed favorable outcomes. Therefore, the proposed method with 2D composite feature form can be a promising ES detection method. Background and Objectives: The availability of multiple dental implant systems makes it difficult for the treating dentist to identify and classify the implant in case of inaccessibility or loss of previous records. Artificial intelligence (AI) is reported to have a high success rate in medical image classification and is effectively used in this area. Studies have reported improved implant classification and identification accuracy when AI is used with trained dental professionals. This systematic review aims to analyze various studies discussing the accuracy of AI tools in implant identification and classification. Methods: The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were followed, and the study was registered with the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO). The focused PICO question for the current study was "What is the accuracy (outcome) of artificial intelligence tools (Intervention) in detecting and/or classifying the type of dental implant (Participant/population) using X-ray images?" Web of Science, Scopus, MEDLINE-PubMed, and Cochrane were searched systematically to collect the relevant published literature. The search strings were based on the formulated PICO question. The article search was conducted in January 2024 using the Boolean operators and truncation. The search was limited to articles published in English in the last 15 years (January 2008 to December 2023). The quality of all the selected articles was critically analyzed using the Quality Assessment and Diagnostic Accuracy Tool (QUADAS-2). Results: Twenty-one articles were selected for qualitative analysis based on predetermined selection criteria. Study characteristics were tabulated in a self-designed table. Out of the 21 studies evaluated, 14 were found to be at risk of bias, with high or unclear risk in one or more domains. The remaining seven studies, however, had a low risk of bias. The overall accuracy of AI models in implant detection and identification ranged from a low of 67% to as high as 98.5%. Most included studies reported mean accuracy levels above 90%. Conclusions: The articles in the present review provide considerable evidence to validate that AI tools have high accuracy in identifying and classifying dental implant systems using 2-dimensional X-ray images. Sea surface temperature (SST) is a key parameter in ocean hydrology. Currently, existing SST prediction methods fail to fully utilize the potential spatial correlation between variables. To address this challenge, we propose a spatiotenporal UNet (ST-UNet) model based on the UNet model. In particular, in the encoding phase of ST-UNet, we use parallel convolution with different kernel sizes to efficiently extract spatial features, and use ConvLSTM to capture temporal features based on the utilization of spatial features. Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling (ASPP) module is placed at the bottleneck of the network to further incorporate the multi-scale features, allowing the spatial features to be fully utilized. The final prediction is then generated in the decoding stage using parallel convolution with different kernel sizes similar to the encoding stage. We conducted a series of experiments on the Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea SST data set, as well as the South China Sea SST data set, using SST data from the past 35 days to predict SST data for 1, 3, and 7 days in the future. The model was trained using data spanning from 2010 to 2021, with data from 2022 being utilized to assess the model's predictive performance. The experimental results show that the model proposed in this research paper achieves excellent results at different prediction scales in both sea areas, and the model consistently outperforms other methods. Specifically, in the Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea sea areas, when the prediction scales are 1, 3, and 7 days, the MAE of ST-UNet outperforms the best results of the other three compared models by 17%, 12%, and 2%, and the MSE by 16%, 18%, and 9%, respectively. In the South China Sea, when the prediction ranges are 1, 3, and 7 days, the MAE of ST-UNet is 27%, 18%, and 3% higher than the best of the other three compared models, and the MSE is 46%, 39%, and 16% higher, respectively. Our results highlight the effectiveness of the ST-UNet model in capturing spatial correlations and accurately predicting SST. The proposed model is expected to improve marine hydrographic studies. Ship detection aims to automatically identify whether there are ships in the images, precisely classifies and localizes them. Regardless of whether utilizing early manually designed methods or deep learning technology, ship detection is dedicated to exploring the inherent characteristics of ships to enhance recall. Nowadays, high-precision ship detection plays a crucial role in civilian and military applications. In order to provide a comprehensive review of ship detection in optical remote-sensing images (SDORSIs), this paper summarizes the challenges as a guide. These challenges include complex marine environments, insufficient discriminative features, large scale variations, dense and rotated distributions, large aspect ratios, and imbalances between positive and negative samples. We meticulously review the improvement methods and conduct a detailed analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of these methods. We compile ship information from common optical remote sensing image datasets and compare algorithm performance. Simultaneously, we compare and analyze the feature extraction capabilities of backbones based on CNNs and Transformer, seeking new directions for the development in SDORSIs.
