Chinese political and economic gains in Africa have been increasing at an alarming rate. Despite the fact that some of these have been favourable, China's presence in Africa has received considerable criticism. African states have similarly responded to this Chinese trend with most of them enjoying Chinese support ranging from economic development to political involvements. These however are mostly embraced by the so-called undemocratic states. China has a core direction on how they carry out their relations with any foreign nation. This paper aims at explaining these policies and see how effective they have been for the parties involved. The article is supported by qualitative data accessed from scholarly writings, the government publishes, articles, and also from web pages. Because the subject is broad in scope, a range of challenges was encountered relating to the authenticity of the sources. Similarly, the topic is rich in content; some parts of the coexistence of the relations shared by these two regions have been left out. Old Uyghur literature is comprised of religious works on Buddhism, Manichaeism and Nestorianism. Buddhism consists in the biggest part among these religious works. The works on many schools of Buddhism have been translated into Old Uyghur. One of them is Buddhāvataṁsaka-sūtra, which is the main literary source of Huayan school. Huayan is a school that made significant progress in the Sui (581-618) and Tang Dynasty (618-907) periods in China and has no equivalence in Indian Buddhism. This school not only stayed within the borders of China but also expanded towards Korea and Japan. Huayan school is known as Hwaŏm in Korean and Kegon in Japanese. This paper is about the edition of the four fragments from Buddhāvataṁsaka-sūtra's commentary in Old Uyghur. These fragments are protected at the Turfan Collection in Berlin Brandenburg Sciences and Humanities, with the archive numbers U 1308 ([T I] 3), U 1372 ([T I] 4), Mainz 821-1 (fragment a) (T I D) and U 1381 ([T I L] 11). Buddhāvatasaka-sūtra's commentary in Old Uyghur constitutes the 20th chapter of a compilation of the texts belonging to the Faxiang school of Buddhism, and the fragments edited in this paper constitute the 32nd, 33rd, 34th and 49th sheets of the same chapter. In this study, a short introduction to the perception of Huayan school outside China will be given first, then the transcription and transliteration of aforementioned Old Uyghur fragments, translations into Turkish, notes related to the text and glossary with an analytical index will be presented. CoronaVirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) is a pandemic that started in China and influenced the whole world, causing more than 2.5 million people to die. There is not enough evidence to date that any diet, food, or nutrient prevents or treats COVID-19. However, it is thought that optimal nutrition can be a preventive form of "pre-rehabilitation" against deadly viruses. This paper aims to review the latest scientific data that examine the relationship between COVID-19 and nutrition. In this context, this study focuses on the relationship of COVID-19 with dietary protein, bioactive compounds, zinc, selenium, vitamins C and D, omega-3, probiotics, and the Mediterranean diet, which are particularly emphasized in the literature. Islam has been existing for thousands of years since arriving in China until today. As it is known, there is a very old and unique culture system in China. In addition to these different cultural structures, Chinese culture is characterized by absorbing foreign cultures within itself. Despite all of this, Islam still survived in an environment surrounding by Chinese culture. One of the reasons for this is the sinicization (localization) of Islam. Thanks to this process, Islam could integrate but without being assimilated into Chinese culture, and adjust herself to China’s political, economic and social backgrounds. On the other hand, globalization, which maintains connection between Chinese Islam and Islamic world, is as important as localization throughout the history of Chinese Islam. Islamic revival and reform movements occurred in the late China Empire and the awakening of Chinese Muslims’ religious awarness, should be considered in the context of the globalization of Islam. It is because of the establishment of contact between Chinese Muslims and Islamic World that they started to reexamine their own faith. Therefore, Chinese Islam always clings to Islamic tenets in spite of being localized substantially. In this sense, it is possible to say that globalization help Chinese Islam maintain her İslamic principles. In this paper, the influence of localization and globalization on the development of Chinese Islam will be examined in the light of important events in history of Chinese Islam, such as the integration of Islamic and Confucian thoughts and the occurrence of Chinese Islamic revival and reform movements, which prevented integration process from transforming into assimilation. "Conoronavirus Disease" (COVID-19) abbreviation is used for the identification of the new disease alerted in Wuhan city of China at the end of year 2019. COVID-19 is caused by "Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2" (SARS-CoV-2). Special pandemic precautions are designed for the control of virus spread by inhaling droplets or contact touching surfaces. Authorities were concentrated on the education of healthcare workers, personal protective equipment (PPE) were pursued, and the hospital wards were re-designed during COVID-19 pandemic. In this paper, infection control precautions conducted in health facilities were reviewed on the basis of practices of Infection Control Committee (ICC) of Gazi University Hospital following the first COVID-19 case reported at 11 March 2020 in our country. Technical properties of PPEs, donning and doffing procedures, recommendations of PPE for each specific clinical situation for each specific healthcare worker were evaluated in this review. The ongoing pandemic due to SARS CoV2 is really a big one, which would never welcomed from any countries anytime, but knocked the door all of a sudden! The SARS CoV-2 first appeared in China in late December 2019. The virus isolated on January 7, 2020; the disease named as COVID-19 afterwars. Since this was a SARS virus not an influenza, nobody seem to expect it as a pandemic agent, spread so fast and so globally. But actually it did spread to many countries and declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020. The pandemic hit the universities hard. The most important topic for universities during the pandemic was of course distance and remote learning, which become widespread already. The pandemic will cause profound impacts and changes on the higher education system around the world in terms of education-teaching methods, research, internationalization and mobility. The response of Council of Higher Education of Turkey to pandemic could be evaluated in four phases: 1) Close monitoring, 2) Preparing, 3) Action, 4) New normalization. China started a new initiative to Europe via One Belt One Road (OBOR) Project after 2013. This trade corridor aims to revitalise ancient Silk Road with new motorways, railroad infrastructure and ports. Thus Europe and China will have faster, more efficient and competitive t rade route with declining costs of transportation. Turkey is on the Central corridor of OBOR. Chinese engineering and technology have developed rapidly since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949. This growth has been especially dramatic following the adoption of national reform and openness policies nearly 20 years ago. China has trained a large number of skilled engineers and technicians across a range of disciplines. These professionals have played a major role in the development of the national economy, in the continuous improvement of quality of life for all Chinese, and in the advancement of Science and Technology around the world. In this paper, after general information about education, education system, number of students and teachers in China has been given, mechanical engineering education in China is outlined. By giving detailed information about two universities in China via revealing the similarities and differences it has been studied to supply a contribution to the evaluation of our engineering education. Tibetan medicine is one of the five major sciences, called gSoba Rig-pa, the science of healing, originating some 2500 years ago. Despite their exile, Tibetans have preserved the teachings in Dharmsala, India, including the seven-year training course necessary for becoming a doctor of Tibetan medicine. An essential aspect of the science is in the analysis, diagnosis and treatment of a person's condition, which rely principally on urine, pulse and tongue diagnosis. Groundwater plays a critical role in arid West China where water is the limiting factor for development. This paper first describes groundwater characteristics in a region of four arid inland river watersheds and the problems associated with groundwater consumption. This region exhibits a unique alternating pattern of high mountains and depressions, which results in extensive interactions of surface water and groundwater. Then the authors propose six strategies to support adequate exploitation and use of groundwater in the region. These strategies are: 1) setting up a groundwater monitoring system; 2) forming a unified watershed authority, 3) protecting mountain ecology; 4) increasing the efficiency of groundwater usage; 5) protecting groundwater; and 6) supporting advanced research.
