The article analyzes the technological development in the historical discipline over time, focusing on the organization of archives and information processing. The author uses her own research on Jewish history in Mexico to demonstrate the usefulness of digital tools and digital humanities in historical research. In addition, the impact of Mexico's vote in favor of the UN resolution condemning Zionism is examined, including the demonstrations and tourist boycott that occurred in the United States. This episode had a significant effect on the relationship between the Jewish community and the government in Mexico. The text presents the experience of a historian in their research and the use of technological resources to gather and process information. The author highlights the importance of managing and classifying archives, as well as accessing online sources of information. It also mentions the evolution of historical research methods over time, from the use of cards and index cards to the development of more sophisticated card cabinets and classification systems. The article emphasizes the influence of these methods on the final outcome of historical research. The article discusses the use of index cards as a tool for organizing information in historical research. It is mentioned that Carl Linnaeus invented index cards in the 1760s and that they were used by naturalists, bibliographers, and historians. A study shows that although there have been changes in research practices, there is still a limitation in the use of digital tools to open new areas of research. The article analyzes the adoption of digital tools by historians. According to a survey, the majority of historians use library-backed databases, online archives, and digital cameras. However, there is a lack of adoption of other types of software and tools. Resistance to adopting new technologies is due to a lack of institutional support, the reluctance of more experienced historians, and a perceived lack of usefulness. Lack of time to learn new technologies is also an obstacle. The article highlights the importance of primary and secondary sources available online and how digital tools facilitate the handling of collected information. The article discusses the importance of using digital tools in historical research. The author mentions using Google Translate to translate communications from Ambassador Jova and other members of the US Foreign Service. It also highlights the usefulness of searching for newspaper sources online and warns about the need to be cautious of false information online. The development of ceramic art as an aesthetic medium in Chinese education is significant aspect of contemporary fine arts education system. This study explored the status of contemporary status of ceramic arts in education and its linkage with aesthetic pleasure within the context of China. The dimensions considered in this study included integration of ceramic arts in the curriculum of Chinese universities, edu-communicative function of ceramic arts, the aesthetic characteristics of ceramic art and role of modern digital tools in spreading the art and craft associated with clay. To fulfill the aims of study and to reach an efficient conclusion, this study employed a qualitative approach. Using this approach, an overview of Chinese ceramic education was presented using both primary and secondary data, where the primary data was derived from interviews with informants from relevant universities. The findings of the study highlight that ceramic art is a significant aspect of contemporary Chinese arts education in its universities, which has the dual objective of develop artistic skills of students and also enhance the edu-communicative function of the ceramic art representing the Chinese culture. The findings revealed that ceramic art not only caried aesthetic elements but it was also a prime source of creating aesthetic pleasure as it played the role of aesthetic medium in education. It was evident that due to its aesthetic purpose, ceramic art demonstrated the notions of 'Art for Art's sake'. It has also been found that digital tools play a significant role in bringing innovation in ceramic art education and spread the skills of clay-art. The findings of this paper have numerous implications for the personnel and practitioners of Chinese fine arts institutions especially those who have curriculum related to ceramic art. In the current scenario ruled by governance, the digital transformation of education is woven through the participation of multiple actors. Recent academic literature deals with the study of state, regional or private policies. However, municipal policies are also an element of great interest for illustrating micro-political processes, making it possible to develop situated work. Based on this premise, this paper studies the case of a municipality in the province of València that for the last decade has been implementing an initiative to provide digital devices to 5th grade students in its four schools. Using a qualitative approach, a field study is carried out by means of interviews with teachers and classroom observations, in which this initiative is investigated, delving into the difficulties and challenges it entails. The main results show that local councils are key bodies in promoting the digitalisation of schools, and that municipal policies reflect the trends in the transformation of education that govern the macro-political level. In conclusion, it can be seen that the municipal context is driving changes in classroom work, posing important challenges for teachers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

New digital technologies have modified the way scientific knowledge is being communicated. This work intends to evaluate the impact of a socio-digital communication plan implemented for the journal Arqueología (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Buenos Aires), designed to boost the distribution and outreach of published content in the digital ecosystem. We proposed a method to evaluate the journal's visibility in social networks, website user behavior and the impact of the published content from 2018 to 2022, based on different altmetric and bibliometric indicators. The results of said analysis show that the effects of the pandemic coupled with the implementation of a dissemination strategy increased the journal's visibility in social networks, which in turn produced an increase in the number of views and downloads of its papers. The aim of this paper is to analyze the development of labor studies in Mexico, both from the point of view of the evolution of the thematic field and its articulation with social and economic changes that have taken place in recent decades. Through a review and analysis of relevant studies, the ways in which the field has professionalized, specialized, and acquired a more solid institutional framework are illustrated. At the same time, some of the limitations of these studies are examined and future challenges are pointed out, considering recent changes in the labor markets and occupations. Transformations brought about by the irruption of digital technologies and new national and international regulations such as those derived from the T-MEC, are mainly highlighted. The digital revolution has driven a profound transformation in the media landscape and has shaken advertising media planning to its roots. In this context, this paper makes three contributions. First, by analysing investment data, it confirms the importance that advertising media planning maintains in the digital age. Secondly, it details the most important changes that digitalization and the proliferation of media have produced in advertising and, specifically, in media planning. Finally, it argues the necessary integration of strategy, creativity and media planning in the process of creating and executing an advertising campaign. Knowledge transfer, as a "third mission" and an activity connected to research, is essential for the university social function. This paper analyses the transfer activities carried out by Spanish and international research projects with a focus on disinformation in the Iberian Peninsula. We located 46 projects with these requirements, contacted those responsible and obtained the response of 25 through an online questionnaire that includes characteristics, timing, typology, contributors and audience of the activities completed, in progress or programmed (46 in total) as well as the perception of researchers on the transfer. The results show that the vast majority of disinformation projects (84%) carry out transfer activities, although many are limited to one or two, not always formalised via OTRI or similar. The projects themselves act as leaders or promoters in almost three out of four activities, although it is common to have at least one partner (58.6%). Their typology and target groups vary according to the objectives and area of the projects. It is noteworthy training for different groups, together with training, support and guidance resources, often multimedia and online. To a lesser extent, there are technological development activities, materialised in open digital applications and tools. The crossing of these two variables (typology and recipients) shows that social transfer is the largest group (43.48%), followed by professional (23.91%), technological (17.39%) and academic (15.22%). Despite being isolated and incipient practices, there is agreement among researchers in perceiving them as an essential part of their mission. Their vision in many cases is close to the "quadruple helix" model, which is oriented towards social innovation and responding to citizen demands on misinformation through collaborative approaches between university, government, companies and society. Introduction: Public media are essential to offer a service of general interest to the population to have equitable access to information, culture, democratic participation and equal opportunities. However, they continue to transmit biases and gender stereotypes that can have a great social scope, also in its digital editions, where a large part of the imbalances presents in traditional media have been transferred and adapted. Methodology: This paper analyzes the representation of gender on the Twitter profile of the regional channel Canal Sur Noticias. For this, a content analysis of a total of N=754 tweets published in September and October 2022 is carried out to find out if there is an underrepresentation of women in news coverage and if gender biases and stereotypes are perceived in the sections, spheres of action, authorship, external sources and in the audiovisual content. Results: The findings reveal that women are clearly underrepresented in this social network, not only as protagonist, also as authors and external sources, and a relegation to the background, in sections and areas of lesser weight, in addition biases persist and stereotypes such as gender markings, traditional roles, or sexist language in text and images. Discussion and Conclusions: This paper show an imbalance in the representation of gender in the Twitter of the public channel, which adapts the same biases present in its traditional format, hindering the social advancement of women in the digital space. Introduction: This paper examines the scientific production related to the public media in digital world, due to the increase in the last decade. Methodology: 292 indexed references in Web of Science between 2012-2022 are selected, carrying out a bibliometric analysis of citation, co-citation and co-words of scientific research on the subject. Results: The aforementioned analysis determines that the countries with the highest number of citations on the subject are Belgium, the United States, England and Austria; the source with the highest number of citations is Journalism Studies; the most cited documents are those of Van Dijck and Poell, (2015) and Aalberg et al. (2013); concerning authors, the most cited are Shanto Iyengar and Hilde Van den Bulck. Concerning the analysis of co-citations, the most mentioned papers are Bardoel, (2003), Hallin y Mancini (2004) and Brevini, B. (2013), and the most cited authors are Hallin, D. C., Van den Bulck, H. and Benson, R. In both cases, the thematic groupings are: public television services, media and politics and influence of the media on public opinion. Regarding the co-citation of sources, Media, Culture & Society; Journal of Communication and Revista Latina de Comunicación Social, among others. The analysis of co-words shows the main research subjects: news communication, mass communication, European journalism and global journalism. Discussion and conclusions: This paper makes it possible the identification of the main trends and theoretical fundamentals in the studied field, as well as to detect emerging trends. The present study was a meta-analysis compiling research on digital citizenship conducted in Mexico in 2011 - 2023. It was guided by the objective of arguing, analyzing and categorizing the lines of knowledge generation and application (LGAC) related to digital citizenship in Mexico. The methodology applied was meta-analysis where 88 research studies were documented: 47 papers, 33 journal articles and 8 theses. The studies found support the existence of six LGAC in Mexico. It was concluded that the studies are related to understanding the way in which society appropriates digital technologies, interactions through social networks and the manifestations of digital identity. Another point to highlight is that the study of digital citizenship has been used to analyze the acquisition of digital skills and attitudes, social issues addressed by digitalization, the roles played by educational actors in the virtual environment and the promotion of multiculturalism. The studies found provide relevance to the LGAC, and allow concluding that digital citizenship is a topic present in research on educational technology in Mexico. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Fact checking is becoming an essential journalistic task because of the proliferation of misinformative content disseminated massively through social media and other channels. Based on this observation, the fundamental objective of the research that serves as the basis for this paper was to learn about the Spanish journalists' professional routines and training in fact-checking. The authors developed a 29-item questionnaire distributed via email to journalists nationwide between May and June 2023 to collect the information. We obtained 326 responses, resulting in several findings: a) the implementation of data verification is not uniform, being more frequent in some types of media --newspapers and verification platforms-- and in large corporations; b) workload is an obstacle that prevents most journalists from devoting as much time to verification as it would require; c) some areas generate more problems when it comes to cross-checking data --such as politics and economics--; d) the preferred sources for verification are academic and official sources --governments, state security forces-; e) the digital tools that are known or used by professionals still have low penetration rates, with only some exceptions; f) although the perception of the respondents is that they are sufficiently trained for verification work, only a minority have received specific training in this area. Digital platforms such as Uber, Rappi or Airbnb impose a labor model where workers are not recognized as such and do not have minimum rights. They are part of platform capitalism, a form of capital that uses digital technologies to impose a precarious employment relationship. However, faced with this model, application workers are beginning to organize and demand rights. In this article, I examine the ideology that platforms promote and the resistances of app distributors. I argue that, in the face of the imagined individualism of digital platforms, delivery workers are recreating forms of community. They have not been passive or totally subaltern but are displaying different forms of antagonism and autonomy. This paper is based on qualitative research with interviews of key informants and analysis of the documents of collectives and groups of Mexican delivery workers, both in Mexico City and in New York. There is a growing interest in the field of social sciences in the study of topics related to the so-called gig economy or platform economy and, among them, in the figure of the rider-a term that refers to the home delivery workers employed through digital platforms. In these platforms, the work of the riders is organized from algorithmic management logics, a mediation in which the panoptic quality of their forms of control and governmentality has tended to be emphasized. In contrast to these frameworks, this paper presents a theoretical-methodological approach that emphasizes the co-constitution-in an open agency- of the rider and the application, to ethnographically approach the everyday labor practices of riders. In the interest of exploring how algorithmic mediation functions in the diversity of riders' experiences, we analyze the coordination tasks responsible for producing the shared space-time geography and the flexible control strategies that mediate the application. The text describes how the algorithm generates a kind of scaffolding that defines directive spatiotemporalities in the riders' operations, within which the deliverers extend the landscape of calculability to those elements that the algorithm cannot consider and to those others that the rider must incorporate in order to make his activity compatible with the algorithmic logic. This article presents the initial results of an ethnography carried out in Madrid since September 2021 with riders from several of the main digital home delivery platforms: Glovo, Uber Eats, and Getir . Along with the fieldwork with riders, we interviewed four technologists in urban logistics. The results show that salaried riders have a less intense experience of the directive chronography of the algorithm, showing how autonomy is not necessarily equivalent to the riders' capability to choose. With digital ecosystems being questioned around the world, this paper examines the EU's role in and contribution to the emerging concept of artificial intelligence (AI) governance. Seen by the EU as the key ingredient for innovation, the adoption of AI systems has altered our understanding of governance. Framing AI as an autonomous digital technology embedded in social structures, this paper argues that EU citizens' trust in AI can be increased if the innovation it entails is grounded in a fundamental rights-based approach. This is assessed based on the work of the High-Level Expert Group on AI (which has developed a framework for trustworthy AI) and the European Commission's recently approved proposal for an Artificial Intelligence Act (taking a risk-based approach). The article "Considerations about the work Reading on paper vs reading on screen" analyzes the differences between reading on paper and reading on screen. The text is based on research and articles translated into Spanish and is aimed at professionals interested in learning through different media. Topics such as cognitive evolution in the digital age, the decrease in printed materials compared to the growth of digital media, the differences between handwriting and digital writing, the impact of technology on cognitive and emotional processes, the importance of reading in education, and bibliotherapy as a form of connection and well-being through reading are discussed. The debate about digital natives and digital immigrants, the role of technology in education, Prensky's metaphors, and learning generations according to birth era are also addressed, as well as whether the brain has been physically modified due to information and communication technologies (ICT). It is highlighted how technology can help with text comprehension through multimedia elements, and it is concluded that technology can support learning, but reading on paper should not be discarded, as both forms can coexist and contribute to didactic strategies to achieve learning goals. Our pilot project, Son Mis Datos (It's My Data), is among several initiatives that have arisen over the past few years to address the need for personal data literacy in an era of increasing datafication, platformization, algorithmic decision making and digital transformation. The vast majority of these projects have emerged in Europe, North America and Australia, often in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal and regulatory initiatives such as the Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Given this period of experimentation with community intervention, there is little clarity about what constitutes a successful personal data literacy initiative, particularly for the Latin American context, given its particular experience with digital transformation, unique tradition of communications theory, and position within the global economy. In this paper we explore and critique the goals of other personal data literacies as a foundation for our own set of evaluative criteria. We then turn these criteria on the Son Mis Datos initiative to explore the assumptions, successes and shortcomings of our initiative. The paper concludes with a set of recommendations for how to pursue personal data literacy work that is culturally relevant and grounded in the needs and perspectives of local communities. If there is one thing we can be sure about the COVID-19 pandemic, it is that it caused an irruption of such magnitude throughout the world that the resonances of the multiple and varied changes it generated have yet to be seen. In relation to communication processes, the demand for information in real time increased and the media took center stage, especially in an initial period when the possibilities of intersubjective contrasts between people were diminished by the confinements. But this was not a constant: as the pandemic spread over time, it lost its novelty character and went from center stage to backdrop in media coverage. This research describes the thematic shifts and the predominant frames that La Nación, Clarín (in its digital versions) and Infobae deployed in their coverage of the pandemic between 2020 and 2022. Framed in the contributions of the agenda setting and framing theories, this paper starts with a quantitative content analysis and compares four specific time frames (April 2020, October 2020, May 2021 and January 2022), chosen for having represented significant peaks in the development of the pandemic in national health terms. The analysis shows that the concentration of the health issue, as well as the prominence of the variables that make up the morality and human interest frames were diluted over time, making the frames in the coverage of the issue less compact and more dispersed. this study aims to understand the uses of digital technologies in thesis writing from the perspective of students of a Master's degree in Education. In this exploratory qualitative research, in-depth interviews were conducted with five students. Each researcher read the transcripts and generated codes and themes; then the codes were compared and the transcripts coded in NVivo in order to obtain a single set of categories, comprising: digital resources, ict, master's degree writing and training, electronic devices, digital-analog articulation. According to the analysis, the laptop and the computer are presented as central devices, although the cell phone is also used. The thesis students, by means of electronic devices and digital resources, seem to prepare suitable writing based on what they initially put down on paper, in a recording or a digital file. Thus, with regard to research and writing, some analogical practices are still in place, although there is a clear shift from paper-based practices to the use of digital tools and online resources. Finally, intentional training in academic writing during the research process would make it possible to verify the nexus between writing and technological mediation as a more implicit issue in the process. The text proposes a journey through the methodology and work process followed in the Post Scriptum. A Digital Archive of Ordinary Writings (Early Modern in Spain and Portugal) project, which led to the formation of a digital epistolary corpus—now available online—from funds preserved in judicial archives during the Modern Age in the Iberian Peninsula. Based on a practical case, the paper reflects on the reality of the fieldwork carried out in order to build a digital corpus, as well as on its strengths and weaknesses, which allows a first-hand insight of some changes and challenges of the digital revolution we are immersed in. Methodology: Advances in the field of Digital Humanities are taken as a starting point to examine the multidisciplinarity that characterizes both the corpus formation process and the possibilities for its analysis and study. Originality: The paper describes the complete work process involved in the transformation of primary sources into digital sources in an innovative project in the field of Digital Humanities; it also reflects on problems faced by historians in working with private letters produced by common people (sixteenth-nineteenth centuries), which range from the location of these sources to their selection, digitization, editing, treatment, and subsequent study. Conclusions: In addition to describing the process of transforming sources into a digital corpus and the possibilities of its analysis, the article evidences different analytical ways. Likewise, it addresses the wealth of archives as essential repositories for recovering private and ordinary epistolary sources while also reflecting on the future of their conservation in the digital environment. The present paper analyses the ways of working and modes of production that configure digital platforms. It argues that different forms of work can emerge in these, but that all of them respond to the transformations of contemporary neoliberalism. The forms in which their configurations and those of their productive processes are given, promote new forms of work and production that break with the standard models to generate new ways of producing surplus value. The paper focuses on the cases of Airbnb and various food delivery and messenger platforms. Some of the characteristics that can be observed are that it is a type of invisible, entrepreneurial work that arises from the reproductive aspect, that is articulated on the basis of unpaid work time, that promotes dynamics of individualization and isolation in the development of this activity or that generates a paradoxical relationship between the feelings of autonomy and freedom as self-employed workers as opposed to a strong deployment of mechanisms of control and organization of work. This paper describes some similarities and differences in interaction and the type of content published on two digital platforms (a Google+ virtual community and the social network Facebook) among young people from two indigenous communities in two regions of the state of Puebla (Mexico). The intention of the research was to explore the use of digital interactive technologies as part of informal learning processes. Data was collected through participant observation, both in person and online, and comparisons were made from digital content produced by indigenous youth. The results show some similarities to previous publications, highlighting, for example, the memories of the people or the oral or written use of indigenous languages, but also identify differences based on each region's sociocultural resources. But it is strange that they have not committed themselves to the transformation from the reconstruction of their axiological burdens. Since the axiological component is present in people as they are the ones who give life to organizations, human values are the moderators of managerial praxis to create competence. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to offer a descriptive review of a selection of major challenges to be assumed by the manager, in nominal categorical terms of ontological, axiological, autopoietic and complex processes, in order to formulate strategies focused on being and doing. The methodology starts from the neodialectical approach, considering an exegetic, free and reflexive criterion of argumentative construction, to unveil within these general spheres of interest the main reflection in which, the increase of people's competence in turbulent and highly uncertain business environments, has its most solid teleology in the corporate axiopoietic. Introduction: The text departs from a theoretical review in order to distinguish two specific dynamics involving the use of commercial tools by activists on the one hand, and the development of autonomous technologies driven by social movements themselves on the other. Objectives: The aim of this article is to define various logics of digital activism by engaging critically with several scholar contributions that, generally through a historical analysis, allow us to establish theoretical distinctions and recognize differentiated logics of action when it comes to determining how social movements actually use digital technology. In the paper, critical engagement with the literature is examined against our empirical findings to challenge pre-existing assumptions, as well as evolutionary approaches sometimes observed in some of these contributions. The text also makes a point of transcending closed historical stages. Conclusions: The article’s conclusions point towards a multidimensionality of factors (pragmatic-utilitarian, strategic-tactical and ideological/identity-related) regulating the ways in which social movement leverage technology. The increasing use of networked digital devices is giving rise to a new culture: the digital culture theorised by Manuel Castells. It has its own space, cyberspace, and makes available a large collection of content, creating what Pierre Lévy calls collective intelligence. Although it is based on the technocratic belief that technology promotes human progress, some research shows that the actual uses fall short of what is desired and theorised. The analyses carried out in Portugal on the use of the Web by the Catholic Church in the pursuit of its mission prove precisely that. There are several hypotheses that try to explain the phenomenon. This paper approaches the inversion suffered by avant-garde architecture in cinema and the role this architecture plays as an influence either on the sets, as a location or as a digital environment in speculative fiction films. From Metropolis (Lang, 1927) to The Man in the High Castle (Spotnitz, 2015-2019), through Fahrenheit 451 (Truffaut, 1966) and Alphaville (Godard, 1965), among others, narratives of anticipation have been inspired, architecturally, by real world buildings that are reflected in these films as a mirror in which we can see the inversion of reality for the construction of the worst possible world. By means of a bibliographic review and the analysis of a selection of relevant films, we will see how utopia gives way to dystopia and how we can study these constructions from perspectives that allow us not only to analyse the inversion of those architectural projects over time, but also to promote an appreciation of architecture as film heritage. This paper proposes a robust condition-monitoring strategy through the use of Deep Learning algorithms. The proposed scheme was validated using a Tennessee Eastman (TE) process with excellent results. The proposed strategy was compared with other condition monitoring schemes. Any confrontation seeks the (partial) imposition of one party's will on an adversary. In recent years, digital technologies and data science have combined to create new ways of controlling the narrative and carrying out powerful information or disinformation campaigns that are part of a new type of warfare with digital characteristics. In particular, based on a literature review and the direct work of authors in different expert groups, this paper studies the use of either static or moving images (real, altered, or wholly artificially generated) as one of the most efficient means of altering perceptions and thereby narratives in the so-called cognitive domain. To this aim, this article collects in an orderly and exhaustive way the most recent military and intelligence doctrine related to such "influence operations," from a dual technological-sociological perspective. Based on this, the paper determines the differences between traditional disinformation techniques and those incorporating digital and artificial intelligence technologies in the form of images and video. The paper proposes a new double-entry taxonomy that can display the degree of image faking and the objective of disinformation. This helps to identify and prioritize the most relevant cases and thus adopt the most appropriate countermeasures. These are also examined in detail, leading to the conclusion that only a combination of transparency, consumer education, technology, and regulation can counteract the increasing use of images and video with false content. The collaborative economy or p2p sharing economy, a multifaceted concept of increasing relevance, is the focus of this paper. A critical review of the literature where the concept appears in publication was conducted, from which the main trends of the new phenomenon of digital platform neo-capitalism in the 21st century economy were identified. From the traditional contradiction of labor and capital, a detailed analysis of the concept of "collaboration" as a translation of "sharing" is carried out, employing a chronological review of the main research publications that are shaping the dynamics of the new economic paradigm in the framework of greater efficiency, resulting from decentralization and heterogeneity. The results indicate that much of the English-language literature has not been reviewed or translated into Spanish, including omission of associated concepts that are essential in understanding the future that economies will face. The privileging of English-language publication makes the literature inaccessible to Spanish and other non-English researchers. In conclusion, three recommendations are proposed. First, the development of active economic policies and intentional planning to address the new challenges. Second, the promotion of government interventions, beyond simple regulations, especially in the field of big data and in creating digital platforms. Third, the advancement of a new generation of platform cooperatives that would help to achieve a new balance in values, in the envisioned future of a turbo-capitalism and post-labor age. The purpose of this article is to examine recent publications on the emerging field of learning analytics, to describe its evolution or growth, to analyze the elements that differentiate it from other disciplines in terms of field, lines of work and maturity, and to determine how it relates to learning. Twenty-three papers were reviewed, based on the application of a method that incorporated a series of inclusion and exclusion criteria proposed for that purpose. The results indicate the main element differentiating learning analytics in terms of its field is the focus on improving or optimizing learning. It uses different techniques and methods from different fields to accomplish that goal. As a result, an important body of work also has emerged that is concerned with delimiting the field through models or frameworks for learning analytics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The present study refers to the digital era and the skill-based learning in university students in Peru. Its goal is to analyze the use of digital tools in the 91 universities of the country by applying an online survey to 20,000 students randomly selected to know the implementation of virtual classrooms and skill-based learning in their universities. This is a very transcendental subject in the current times due to the Information Technology and Communication has become in tools of every day in practically every modern society en the world. Therefore, this fact cannot stay ignored in higher education, mainly in the pandemic context, where it is essential to utilize these tools, including e-learning. A special case is the skill-based learning; because of carrying it out in online manner constitutes a challenge. The authors of this paper do not conform themselves to perform a quantitative study on this subject in Peru, also they propose to carry out a qualitative analysis using the interviewees' opinions in a linguistic scale with terms "Good", "Regular", "Bad", and "I don't know". To perform calculus we applied the 2-tuples model, where linguistic data are aggregated without loss of information. This method allows us to obtain a global result in function of the linguistic scale, which will provide of an easily comprehensible final value to those involved in this study. To the best of the authors' knowledge this is the first time that a study of this kind is carried out in the Peruvian university education by using the 2-tuples method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Technological transformations and, especially, the accelerated process of digitalization have changed the profiles and production routines of the media. At the same time, universities have had to adapt their journalism curricula to new training needs. This paper analyzes the evolution of the technical-digital training of the journalism degree in Spain over the last two decades through a comparative study of three stages: before, during, and after the adaptation to the EHEA (2000-2010-2020). The research brings together, as valuable reference material, the curricular offerings of 112 programs and 242 subjects that show the educational evolution of the digital environment over the last 20 years, with a longitudinal and epistemological approach. The trends identified by this diagnostic work confirm, among other aspects, how the design of journalism curricula has evolved at a slow and asynchronous pace in digital training until the last decade and with disparate speeds between universities. Added to this is the conformation of a highly varied epistemological heritage that, beyond the specific names of the subjects, denotes a progressive commitment to digital and multimedia teaching, combining generic hybrid knowledge with more specialized training in terms of languages and formats. This paper presents the position of the Latin American working group of the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC). The working group brings together various Latin American actors and organizations in support of actions that facilitate the transformation of health systems in the region towards integrated systems that focus on people not as isolated individuals but as subjects of law in the complex social and environmental contexts where they live and interact. The working group proposes nine pillars of integrated care to be used as a conceptual framework for policy development and changes in practices: 1) shared vision and values; 2) population health; 3) people and communities as partners; 4) resilient communities; 5) capacities of human resources for health; 6) governance and leadership; 7) digital solutions; 8) aligned payment systems; and 9) public transparency. Based on these pillars, lines of work are proposed to strengthen alliances and networks, advocacy, research, and capacity-building, in order to help develop health and social systems that are effectively integrated and focused not only on people but also on communities in Latin America. The processes of social confinement caused by the global health crisis (COVID-19), have forced professors to assume new research competencies that allow them to improve science indicators and contribute to the research culture in the digital era for the Latin American region. This article analyzes the research culture of Latin American professors in 20 countries in the digital era, and their relationship with the production of scientific papers indexed in the Journal Citation Report (JCR) between 1996 and 2019. A questionnaire (with validity and reliability criteria) with a Likerttype scale was applied to 2,215 professors selected from five international scientific events. The main results show that 78% of the professors have less than 15 years of teaching experience, with ages under 44 years of age and 38.9% of them with an undergraduate academic level, 62.5% of whom responded that they have never published in indexed journals, and that they do not know the proper application of paradigms and research designs. On the other hand, 23.86% of the total citations are self-citations. Therefore, the results reflect a significant relationship between the research culture of professors and Latin American scientific production. Finally, Latin American professors have found themselves in economic, political and social circumstances that affect good research and scientific publication practices, leaving a training gap in research competencies in the new digital era. This paper describes teachers' perceptions of their ICT and media competencies, and the importance they assign to these competencies in teacher training. A questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument based on UNESCO's proposals on ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and MIL (Media and Information Literacy). A total of 402 teachers and pre-service teachers took part in the questionnaire. This is an exploratory cross-sectional study where quantitative descriptive and correlational methodology is used. Findings reveal that the self-perceived competence of teachers is low and that the self-perceived level is always lower than the importance given to the corresponding competence. Greater importance is assigned to MIL competencies than to ICT competencies of teachers; this questions the tendency to prioritize technological and didactic training over media education training. It concludes with the need for a paradigm shift towards convergence in teacher training policies for the digital age, and a global model of teacher competencies in media and ICT (COMPROMETIC) is proposed that integrates MIL competencies with those of ICT teachers. The model is based on a double convergence: that of different literacies, and that of the resulting multi-literacy with the specific training of education professionals in ICT and media. Media literacy training is an urgent need of our time. Educational institutions must stand as fundamental domains to collectively address reflection on digital and media environments and prepare school-age citizens to constructively deal with the impact of the media. To do so, a paradigm shift to approach the issue is required: a critical awareness of the new scenarios created by the media and a broad reflection on their characteristics. A new framework where the spotlight is on the media, the surrounding environment is an essential reference point and training proposals are based on results and evidence. This study is part of a Design-Based Research, aimed at the creation, implementation and evaluation of a Critical Media Literacy program for high school students at the Escuela Normal Superior del Putumayo (Colombia). In this paper we present the results obtained by applying the Alfamed media competence "pre" and "post" questionnaire to the students participating in the program. The results obtained show a significant improvement both in the overall level of students' media competence and in four of the six dimensions that make up the theoretical reference model ("Technology", "Language", "Ideology and Values" and "Production and Dissemination"). Digitalization and internet communication have been integrated into all levels of social development, and media convergence has become an inevitable trend in the processing and dissemination of information. This paper studies the mechanism of innovation in the compilation and publication of dictionaries through the confluence and collaboration between the media, which include: (1) the new methods and trends of dictionary compilation, (2) the characteristics and approach of media convergence for lexicography, (3) the structure and function of dictionaries based on media convergence, (4) the innovation of lexicographic organizations. The research results show that media convergence offers a great opportunity for the digital transformations of dictionaries, hence the importance of adopting this approach to produce multimodal lexicographic texts that can be consulted and displayed through various media and digital terminals. Through the case study of Chicfy, a social network for the commercialization of women's fashion, this paper analyzes the communicative style of verbal interactions carried out in applications for the purchase/sale of second-hand items. We examined the performance of the main speech acts and the courtesy strategies following the theoretical framework of interactional sociolinguistics (Gumperz, 1982a, 1982b; Tannen, 1985, 1996) and the concepts of communicative style and management of the communicative link developed by users. We collected a corpus of 254 Chicfy sequences produced in 2017 and 2018. For its analysis, we opted for a strategy that prioritizes the qualitative dimension, although we also made some quantitative calculations. The results point to the identification of a communicative style characterized by a repertoire of strategies aimed at reinforcing affiliation and closeness with the interlocutor, something typical of the Spanish communicative culture that, moreover, seems to be supported in digital communication environments. In recent years, an increasing interest for civic education has been observed in many countries around the world. At the same time, the 21st century has witnessed the emergence of a new form of technologically mediated citizenship that finds in social networks and other digital spaces a channel of expression that is especially accessible to young generations, who have grown up in a hybrid context and in a school concerned with digital literacy. This paper analyzes the role of cyberspace in civic participation of young people in the Community of Madrid. It is used a qualitative methodology through focus groups, which were applied in four different schools in different geographical areas with unequal socioeconomic status. 43 students of secondary education, compulsory and non-compulsory, formed the sample. Findings from the focus groups indicate that participants have a feeling of lack of consideration and attention to the possibilities of civic participation of young people; the globalizing and homogenizing nature of the internet; a remarkable critical awareness in adolescents of the risks of the digital environment, linked to the concept of digital citizenship; the perception of complementarity between physical and virtual spaces; the positive appreciation of the instantaneousness of cyberspace, in comparison to other media; the risk that a more reproductive than creative digital civic participation replaces the physical presence in public spaces, with lethargic effects on the civic conscience of young people; the scarce relevance of official technological channels; and the growing contact with other contexts, that favours an intercultural globalization. The article "DEMOCRACY, FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION, AND LAW IN THE DIGITAL ERA" analyzes the legal implications of the digital era on democracy, free elections, and freedom of expression. It highlights the importance of freedom of expression as the foundation of democracy and the potential of the internet and social media to facilitate access to information and the circulation of ideas. However, it also mentions how state and non-state actors use technological advances to manipulate information and interfere in democratic participation. The article examines the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights on free elections and the protection of freedom of expression in the political sphere, and raises questions about the role of the European Convention in this context. It also discusses the distinction between traditional media and new media in relation to freedom of expression, and reflects on the role of the media as "watchdogs" in a democratic society. Additionally, specific cases are mentioned that illustrate the legal challenges posed by the digital era, such as the use of new technologies in political campaigns and the regulation of digital media users. The article also addresses topics such as political party financing, the prohibition of sharing "selfies" of ballot papers on social media, online censorship, and disinformation. It emphasizes the need for clear and accessible legislation that adapts to the realities of the digital era and mentions proposed measures to combat disinformation and promote free and fair elections.
