- Abstract
Abiotic stress is an important factor that affects the growth and development of forage. Therefore, it has a great significance to explore the characteristics, indicators, and evaluation methods of forage stress resistance for improving and stabilizing forage production. However, at present, there aren't many researches on the response and adaptive mechanism of Cyperus esculentus to stress, which directly restricts the progress of stress resistance breeding in Cyperus esculentus. In this paper, the physiological and biochemical functions and molecular regulation mechanism of common abiotic stress (drought, low-temperature and salinity, etc.) of Cyperus esculentus were briefly summarized, and the prospect of stress resistance breeding of Cyperus esculentus was put forward, in order to provide theoretical references for the study of stress resistance of Cyperus esculentus in the future.
