Tobias Miunske stellt einen neuartigen Bewegungsalgorithmus vor, der sich zur Laufzeit adaptiv an verschiedenartige fahrdynamische Szenarien anpasst. Der vorgestellte Algorithmus wird durch eine flachheitsbasierte prädiktive Vorsteuerung erweitert und so in seiner Parametrierung optimal ausgereizt. Dadurch wird bezüglich der längsdynamischen Bewegungswahrnehmung dem Fahrer eine äußerst realitätsnahe Fahrsimulation bereitgestellt.Der Autor: Tobias Miunske hat am Institut für Verbrennungsmotoren und Kraftfahrwesen (IVK) der Universität Stuttgart promoviert. Er ist im Bereich Motion Control für vollbewegliche Fahrsimulatoren tätig. Außerdem beschäftigt sich seine Forschungsthematik mit der Trajektoriengenerierung für das automatisierte Fahren und dessen Analyse am Stuttgarter Fahrsimulator.

Sensor and Data Fusion for Intelligent Transportation Systems introduces readers to the roles of the data fusion processes defined by the Joint Directors of Laboratories (JDL) data fusion model and the Data Fusion Information Group (DFIG) enhancements, data fusion algorithms, and noteworthy applications of data fusion to intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Additionally, the monograph offers detailed descriptions of three of the widely applied data fusion techniques and their relevance to ITS (namely, Bayesian inference, Dempster‒Shafer evidential reasoning, and Kalman filtering), and indicates directions for future research in the area of data fusion. The focus is on data fusion algorithms rather than on sensor and data fusion architectures, although the book does summarize factors that influence the selection of a fusion architecture and several architecture frameworks.

Jürgen-Oliver Pitz leitet eine Methode zur Ansteuerung eines Fahrsimulators her, welche die Bewegungswiedergabe für eine Vielzahl von Fahrsituationen optimiert. Hierzu stellt er einen ganzheitlichen Ansatz vor, der sowohl Informationen aus der Fahrzeugsimulation als auch aus der direkten und vorausliegenden Fahrzeugumgebung analysiert und auswertet. Die Auswertung zur Systemlaufzeit ermöglicht eine universelle und streckenunabhängige Nutzung des Motion-Cueing-Algorithmus. Der Autor ermittelt in einer repräsentativen Simulatorstudie mit über 40 Probanden das Potenzial des Ansatzes gegenüber dem eines Referenzalgorithmus und zeigt die Vorteile für verschiedene Anwendungsgebiete auf.

Information consensus guarantees that robot vehicles sharing information over a network topology have a consistent view of information critical to the coordination task. Assuming only neighbor-neighbor interaction between vehicles, this monograph develops distributed consensus strategies designed to ensure that the information states of all vehicles in a network converge to a common value. This approach strengthens the team, minimizing power consumption and the effects of range and other restrictions. The monograph covers introductory, theoretical and experimental material, featuring - an overview of the use of consensus algorithms in cooperative control; - consensus algorithms in single- and double-integrator, and rigid-body-attitude dynamics; - rendezvous and axial alignment, formation control, deep-space formation flying, fire monitoring and surveillance.
