Background: Coping with residual cognitive and gait impairments is a prominent unmet need in community-dwelling chronic stroke survivors. Motor-cognitive exergames may be promising to address this unmet need. However, many studies have so far implemented motor-cognitive exergame interventions in an unstructured manner and suitable application protocols remain yet unclear. We, therefore, aimed to summarize existing literature on this topic, and developed a training concept for motor-cognitive exergame interventions in chronic stroke. Methods: The development of the training concept for personalized motorcognitive exergame training for stroke (PEMOCS) followed Theory Derivation procedures. This comprised (1.1) a thorough (narrative) literature search on long-term stroke rehabilitation; (1.2) a wider literature search beyond the topic of interest to identify analogies, and to induce creativity; (2) the identification of parent theories; (3) the adoption of suitable content or structure of the main parent theory; and (4) the induction of modifications to adapt it to the new field of interest. We also considered several aspects of the "Framework for Developing and Evaluating Complex Interventions" by the Medical Research Council. Specifically, a feasibility study was conducted, and refining actions based on the findings were performed. Results: A training concept for improving cognitive functions and gait in community-dwelling chronic stroke survivors should consider the principles for neuroplasticity, (motor) skill learning, and training. We suggest using a stepbased exergame training for at least 12 weeks, 2-3 times a week for approximately 45 min. Gentile's Taxonomy for Motor Learning was identified as suitable fundament for the personalized progression and variability rules, and extended by a third cognitive dimension. Concepts and models from related fields inspired further additions and modifications to the concept. Conclusion: We propose the PEMOCS concept for improving cognitive functioning and gait in community-dwelling chronic stroke survivors, which serves as a guide for structuring and implementing motor-cognitive exergame interventions. Eco-innovation is a complex activity that requires diverse knowledge and an extensive R&D and technology portfolio. This paper investigates the strategies employed by firms and the extent to which green and non-green R&D can influence eco-innovation. We address two research questions: Is investment in green R&D valuable and sufficient for successful eco-innovation? What types of investment are needed for eco-innovation? Our findings provide a better understanding of the mix of knowledge fields required for eco-innovation. To investigate internal firm R&D strategies we use unique data that allow us to identify the influence of the stocks of green and non-green R&D on eco-innovation and the importance of complementarity among specific R&D strategies and knowledge for eco-innovation. As a typical bulb flower, lily is widely cultivated worldwide because of its high ornamental, medicinal and edible value. Although breeding efforts evolved over the last 10000 years, there are still many problems in the face of increasing consumer demand. The approach of biotechnological methods would help to solve this problem and incorporate traits impossible by conventional breeding. Target traits are dormancy, development, color, floral fragrance and resistances against various biotic and abiotic stresses, so as to improve the quality of bulbs and cut flowers in planting, cultivation, postharvest, plant protection and marketing. Genetic transformation technology is an important method for varietal improvement and has become the foundation and core of plant functional genomics research, greatly assisting various plant improvement programs. However, achieving stable and efficient genetic transformation of lily has been difficult worldwide. Many gene function verification studies depend on the use of model plants, which greatly limits the pace of directed breeding and germplasm improvement in lily. Although significant progress has been made in the development and optimization of genetic transformation systems, shortcomings remain. Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation has been widely used in lily. However, severe genotypic dependence is the main bottleneck limiting the genetic transformation of lily. This review will summarizes the research progress in the genetic transformation of lily over the past 30 years to generate the material including a section how genome engineering using stable genetic transformation system, and give an overview about recent and future applications of lily transformation. The information provided in this paper includes ideas for optimizing and improving the efficiency of existing genetic transformation methods and for innovation, provides technical support for mining and identifying regulatory genes for key traits, and lays a foundation for genetic improvement and innovative germplasm development in lily. Objective: Lantibiotics are a family of bacterial antimicrobial peptides synthesized by ribosomes, that undergo post-translational modification to form lanthionine (Lan) and methyllanthionine (MeLan) residues. Lantibiotics are currently considered promising agents for combating antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections. This paper presents a biotechnological method for obtaining two components of the lantibiotic lichenicidin from Bacillus licheniformis B-511, Lchα and Lchβ. Such a system has the potential to facilitate the production of not only lichenicidin, but also other lantibiotics, including two-component ones, and also to enable the study of their biosynthesis and the activity and substrate specificity of modifying enzymes. Methods: The developed system is based on heterologous coexpression of the genes of Lchα and Lchβ precursors with the genes of their corresponding modifying enzymes in the cytoplasm of Escherichia coli BL21(DE3). Subsequent steps included immobilized metal affinity chromatography of the His-tagged hybrid peptide under denaturing conditions, cyanogen bromide cleavage in acidic medium, and final purification using reverse-phase HPLC. Results and Discussion: The system was employed for the expression and purification of lantibiotics, resulting in the successful isolation of the β-component of lichenicidin in high yield (approximately 4 mg/L of culture). This purified beta component exhibited structural and functional characteristics comparable to its natural counterpart, which was purified from the natural producer. However, the yield of the mature α-component of lichenicidin in such a system was significantly lower. Conclusions: The work presents a biotechnological method for obtaining recombinant two-component lantibiotic lichenicidin, which has proven to be particularly effective in the case of Lchβ. With the rapid development of biotechnology, the importance of microfluidic bioseparation and bioassay in biomedicine, clinical diagnosis, and other fields has become increasingly prominent. Microfluidic technology, with its significant advantages of high throughput, automated operation, and low sample consumption, has brought new breakthroughs in the field of biological separation and bioassay. In this paper, the latest research progress in microfluidic technology in the field of bioseparation and bioassay is reviewed. Then, we focus on the methods of bioseparation including active separation, passive separation, and hybrid separation. At the same time, the latest research results of our group in particle separation are introduced. Finally, some application examples or methods for bioassay after particle separation are listed, and the current challenges and future prospects of bioseparation and bioassay are discussed. Swallows (Hirundo spp.) inhabit a variety of habitats in both tropical and temperate zones. Barn Swallows (Hirundo rustica), in particular, frequently roost in large numbers and construct mud nests on buildings, causing nuisance to humans. At the Glami Lemi Biotechnology Research Centre (GLBRC), which is located in Peninsular Malaysia, there are certain structures that are frequently utilised by a large number of swallows for perching and resting. This results in the defacement of the exterior walls caused by their droppings. Hence, the analysis presented in this paper delves into the factors influencing their presence and numbers. The objective of this study was to examine the fluctuations in the number of perched Barn Swallows and their relationship with three environmental parameters: temperature, relative humidity, and light intensity. Three hours of observation were conducted in two different sessions (i.e., morning and afternoon) three times per week for one year. The results showed that the number of Barn Swallows perched appeared to be stable throughout the year, except for November and December, when it increased tremendously and reached its peak. A Spearman rank analysis was conducted to investigate the correlation between the number of swallows perched and the environmental parameters. The analysis was restricted to only periods when the birds were present. A significant effect of relative humidity and temperature was observed for the morning session, promoting the relationship between the environmental parameters and the perching/resting behaviour of this species. This situation is parallel with the afternoon session, where all three environmental parameters showed a significant effect on swallows’ numbers. This study not only provides valuable information to the GLBRC’s management to effectively anticipate appropriate steps to mitigate the influx of Barn Swallows but also enhances our knowledge of the perching/ resting behaviour of this species. In this paper we highlight how the apparent double coverage of toxins and bioregulators by both the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BTWC) and the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) in fact masks a regulatory gap that has left such potentially dangerous agents neglected by both the control regimes during a period of rapid advances in relevant chemical, life and associated sciences and technologies. We first review what toxins, bioregulators and other mid-spectrum agents are and why they are of such concern and then examine how they are regulated under the BTWC and CWC. This paper then examines an illustrative range of contemporary chemical and life science research and associated activities of concern drawn from case study research on China, India, Iran, Russia, Syria and the United States, and assesses how the CWC and BTWC States Parties have inadequately addressed these threats. We then examine how both the CWC and BTWC Review Conferences failed to address these long-term challenges, and we end by providing a series of recommendations for how both regimes can be strengthened in this area. This paper reviews recent research on biopolymer and biotechnology-based bioplastics as a solution to plastic pollution. Plastics are becoming a substantial issue as society progresses, particularly with single-use variants. These packaging films are primarily composed of petroleum and refined with high heat, releasing carbon dioxide pollutants in the process. At the end of its lifespan, plastic is regularly thrown away in landfills and the environment, posing risks to human and ecosystem health. While bioplastics are prevalent in the market today, their lack of biodegradability and high costs prevent widespread use. As a result, studies about novel methods of producing biodegradable bioplastics have emerged. This paper reviews research concerning E. coli, chitosan, keratin, cellulose, and alginate as unconventional methods of synthesizing a new strand of bioplastics -- rigid 3D monoliths and flexible packaging films. Alginate composite films show the most promise in terms of sustainability, cost, mechanical properties, and ease of scalability but are restricted to low-humidity environments. The global diffusion of biotechnology has played a pivotal role in restructuring the global order in the post-Cold War era. Institution of a strong domestic base in biotech has arguably allowed emerging economies in the Global South to negotiate with developed countries from a position of strength. This paper critically examines the rise of Brazil as a case in point to examine the role of biotechnology as a great equaliser of power in North-South relations. It identifies the institution of a strong domestic biotechnology base as a primary facilitator of Brazil's emergence as a globally influential player. The paper does so through delineating the various means through which Brazil has drawn from biotechnology to boost its international image and influence. Firstly, it analyses the nuances within Brazil's domestic biotechnology strategy while underlining their catalytic effect in driving fast-paced advances in the field. Brazil's policy successes with respect to genomics and biofuels are highlighted. The paper discusses Brazil's employment of biotechnology as an effective foreign policy tool in niche diplomacy ventures of health, agriculture, and biofuels to grow its clout in the Global South. Brazil's tactful ability to combine its biotechnology expertise with skilful diplomatic manoeuvring to pioneer novel normative paradigms that favour the Global South has been studied. The paper concludes that Brazil's biotechnology strategy presents a good model for emerging economies in Asia and Africa to emulate to improve their relative standing in the multipolar world. This paper investigates the correlation of ResearchGate among the faculties of sciences in the central universities of North-East India using Altmetrics approaches. As more innovation is seen and the discipline is in its early stages, the Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology is the primary study area. The study focuses primarily on faculty activities on the ResearchGate platform, which include frequency of publications, citations, research interest, number of followers and followings, and various publication formats. It has also sparked interest in determining the relationships between different ResearchGate metrics. According to the study, most faculties have good citation scores and an average number of publications. The survey analysis reveals a lack of awareness, concentration, and dedication to the development of the disciplines. Nancy Farmer's novel The House of the Scorpion deals with complex ethical dilemmas stemming from scientific advancements, particularly in cloning. The story unfolds in a dystopian society where clones are treated as subhuman entities. They are raised solely for the purpose of being harvested for their organs. This societal structure starkly contrasts the ethical and moral dilemmas associated with cloning. The paper highlights the stark contrast between the protected bodies of the ruling class and the exploited bodies of the clones and eejits, exposing the evils of totalitarianism and the misuse of technology. This analysis employs the ethical concepts organized in the book, The Ethics of Human Cloning, to explore the ethical dimensions surrounding human cloning. The emergence of advanced biotechnologies has intensified in recent years. The rapid development of these biotechnologies has had a wide and profound impact globally, with the majority on the frontier of biosecurity technologies. The global biosecurity situation is currently highly challenging, with the characteristics of internationalization, extremely serious harm, and complex development. The misuse and abuse of biotechnologies are common, which thereby endanger biosecurity. The international community and governments have attached great importance to cutting-edge biotechnologies and are implementing laws and regulations to control and prevent biosecurity-related influences. By tracking the frontier progress of the new technologies generated from gene editing, gene drives, synthetic biology, and related cross-disciplines as applied in the biosecurity field, we analyzed the development trends in biotechnologies and their potential influence. On the one hand, this paper proposes that there is an urgent need for global cooperation to formulate management, control strategies, and measures for cutting-edge technologies in biosecurity to jointly promote their sound development. On the other hand, the international community should jointly shoulder the responsibility for safeguarding biosecurity and restrict the biotechnologies to rational applications within legal and ethical frameworks. The current global food system, and in particular the livestock industry, has been effective at providing low-cost calories to large segments of the population, but it also causes significant harms and poses serious risks. In particular, the global food system currently likely causes billions of animals to suffer every year, significantly contributes to climate change, and threatens public health via the possibility of zoonotic disease. There are many other problems that have been identified with the livestock industry, but these three threats, which I refer to as the Big Three, are among the most urgent moral issues in the world. Significant progress could be made to address all three of these risks if the global population moved to a primarily plant-based diet. However, there are reasons to believe this possibility is unrealistic given current consumer preferences and political realities. As an alternative, one could ask whether an approach relying entirely on novel biotechnology could be used to address the urgent moral challenges of the global livestock industry without substantially changing the consumer experience or facing political backlash. In this paper I consider what such a scenario would look like, and argue that failing to address any one of these three major issues would be a serious moral failing. Though many other suggestions have been made looking at how biotechnology might address individual issues, this paper suggests that in order to avoid the need for difficult behavioral and political changes, biotechnological solutions would ultimately need to be developed that address welfare, environmental, and public health concerns. Mapping of research has become important across the world and any new technology requires a new institutional framework for mapping appropriate outcomes of research. It involves analyzing linkages between various actors, stakeholders, agencies, and institutions to map potential research domains. Over the years, Biotechnology Applied Microbiology has emerged as a niche area, and this sector is recognized as the key driver for economic growth and development. Biotechnology has emerged as a promising area of research in selected African countries but requires expanding its S&T base. To enhance S&T-based and capacity building Africa has initiated to expand its collaborative efforts with other countries including Europe, Asia, the US, the Middle East, and Africa with promising results in different areas like nanotechnology, biotechnology, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, etc. Biotechnology is one of the emerging areas and African biotechnology has the potential to transform the economy. Therefore, this paper presents an analysis of the emerging pattern of research areas in selected African countries and in particular biotechnology research activities in Africa. More than 56000 research articles were analyzed, using SPSS software, indicates that R&D collaboration and national as well as international networks could be helpful in enhancing publication output and research competency in the field of biotechnology research in Africa. The "CRISPR/Cas Mechanisms" section dives into the intricate workings of the CRISPR/Cas system, covering key components such as guide RNA, Cas proteins, PAM recognition, and donor DNA. It elucidates the mechanisms of DNA targeting and cleavage, highlighting the precision and versatility that have made CRISPR/Cas a transformative tool in genome editing. "Applications of CRISPR/Cas in Genome Editing" explores the wide-reaching impact of CRISPR/Cas technology, from its use in model organisms for gene function studies to its therapeutic applications in human health and its implications in agriculture and environmental conservation. The phage display technology is based on the presentation of peptide sequences on the surface of virions of bacteriophages. Its development led to creation of sophisticated systems based on the possibility of the presentation of a huge variability of peptides, attached to one of proteins of bacteriophage capsids. The use of such systems allowed for achieving enormous advantages in the processes of selection of bioactive molecules. In fact, the phage display technology has been employed in numerous fields of biotechnology, as diverse as immunological and biomedical applications (in both diagnostics and therapy), the formation of novel materials, and many others. In this paper, contrary to many other review articles which were focussed on either specific display systems or the use of phage display in selected fields, we present a comprehensive overview of various possibilities of applications of this technology. We discuss an usefulness of the phage display technology in various fields of science, medicine and the broad sense of biotechnology. This overview indicates the spread and importance of applications of microbial systems (exemplified by the phage display technology), pointing to the possibility of developing such sophisticated tools when advanced molecular methods are used in microbiological studies, accompanied with understanding of details of structures and functions of microbial entities (bacteriophages in this case). A wealth of literature and best practices on Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) document how it can be implemented in projects. However, each project is too specific to simply replicate existing patterns. Especially in early projects with a high degree of uncertainty, where indicators and measures cannot be applied, the so-called provenance assessment as a methodological change of perspective makes it possible to assess the procedural quality of research by means of narratives. A clear picture of the challenges for European bio-economy projects is sought by mapping the broader debate on "RRI in practice" in the context of biotechnology. The SUSPHIRE project is used as a case study to show how project-specific narratives integrate and signify RRI. By unpacking various concepts of "responsibility" that are already present in the project narrative at an early stage, I will show how this assessment differs significantly from other attempts to "do RRI". It is precisely in the absence of other criteria that the assessment of provenance can bring to the fore the specific form(s) of responsibility inherent in the development of projects. Microbial cellulases are an important industrial enzyme having diverse applications in biotechnology, environmental challenges, industrial products and processes. Extremophiles like thermophillic bacteria are a good source of industrially important cellulases as these can withstand industrially rigorous procedures like paper deinking, fabric material softening, bio stoning, paper and pulp, biopolishing cloth material, animal feed and juice. Identification of novel cellulases or improving them through biotechnological interventions has remained a challenge for researchers. Genetic manipulation of thermophilic bacteria for increased cellulase production or synthetic biology approaches for cellulase gene/gene cluster extraction from thermophilic bacteria and expression in appropriate hosts for improved cellulase synthesis. The classic and high -throughput technologies like genomics, metagenomics and bioinformatics could be exploited to isolate cellulase genes from a variety of thermophilic bacteria and further processing. Keeping in view the ultimate requirement of extremophilic cellulases in industries, present study is a compilation of various aspects related to extremophilic cellulases their sources, production, biotechnological interventions and challenges. In tissue formation and regeneration processes, cells often move collectively, maintaining connections through intercellular adhesions. However, the specific roles of cell–substrate and cell-to-cell mechanical interactions in the regulation of collective cell migration are not yet fully understood. Finite element modeling (FEM) may be a way to assess more deeply the biological, mechanical, and chemical phenomena behind cell adhesion. FEM is a powerful tool widely used to simulate phenomena described by systems of partial differential equations. For example, FEM provides information on the stress/strain state of a cell adhering to a substrate, as well as on its mechanobiological behavior. This review paper, after briefly describing basic principles of cell adhesion, surveys the most important studies that have utilized FEM to investigate the structural response of a cell adhering to a substrate and how the forces acting on the cell–substrate adhesive structures affect the global cell mechanical behavior. This paper examines how medicine, which has developed instrumental and methodological treatment processes, has situated the body within the context of disease through the doctor’s diagnostic procedure, and how such a body can be “saved” through the intervention of doctors and medical knowledge. As an alternative to medical practice, we would like to consider how it is incorporated into objective and data-oriented bodies while placed in normal or desirable “becoming”. Medical practice, tailored to generalized and standardized health standards aimed at “correcting” the patient’s body, often overlooks the individual characteristics of the patient and the context of their life. The dazzling development of digital technology is changing countless biotechnology and the landscape of life. The body can no longer remain at its natural level, and there is no need for it to do so. As the focus is on “saving” and “correcting,” the gap between the patient’s viewpoints and the doctor’s perspective, which seeks to achieve a “cure,” may gradually increase. Furthermore, with the primary focus on improving treatment success rates, the patient's body is reduced to data as they transition from the treatment room, where personal interaction is possible, to the examination and operating rooms. This transformation reflects a medical field that combines invasive procedures with treatment, striving to adhere to heightened standards of objectivity. Strategic alliances in the biotechnology sector are key to achieving the sustainable development goals of the Agenda 2030 and to boosting technology transfer, value creation and firms' survival. This paper focuses on a momentum that has scarcely been analysed in the literature; from the moment a firm decides to form an alliance, to the moment the contract is signed. There are many combinations of antecedents that may influence the pre-alliance phase and lead either to the final signing of the alliance or to its cancellation. We base on the transaction cost theory and analyse how different combinations of possible impediments and firm-specific attributes affect the final contract signature. We use a qualitative comparative analysis on 69 firms in the Spanish biotechnology sector that belong to the Spanish Bioindustry Association (AseBio). Potato has been consumed for more than four centuries in Europe, and during the last century, it was also the subject of modern biotechnology breeding to obtain different varieties with specific uses. Therefore, new potato varieties have been constantly introduced into the marketplace. Up to the beginning of this century, purple-fleshed potatoes (PFPs) were not very common in Europe, nor in Romania. But, due to their significant nutritional importance, an increase in these varieties' acceptance on the marketplace was observed. While the purple-fleshed potato may offer unique nutritional advantages, challenges may arise in terms of consumer education and acceptance. The scope of this article was to apply a scientific-based questionnaire and to be disseminated with the support of students among the consumers in Sibiu County. A total of 278 answers have been received. Based on the analysis of this survey, it can be concluded that generally, the public is open to accepting different types of potato varieties. However, the need for scientific explanations was considered essential to getting informed answers from all respondents. The most interested in the PFPs seems to be the young generation, most originating from urban or rural areas. Thus, PFPs may have the chance to enter the marketplace in Romania quickly. Since human bodies are dynamic biological systems, medicine requires to understand the evolutionary antecedents of Homo, especially in relation to neurohormonal regulation. Furthermore, increasing human dependence on biotechnology has led to relaxed natural selection in Homo, with subsequent increase of genetic load. In this paper, we speculate on the possible consequences of the application of parsimoniously derived biotechnologies onto the biological system of humans, with special attention to three areas: 1. human brain augmentation; 2. biotechnology and public health; 3. relaxed natural selection and genetic load. Human ability to manipulate and alter the structure and function of the body may not only make natural selection redundant but will be guided by a teleology whose purpose will seek to improve upon nature’s design. The EU's Responsible Research and Innovation framework advocates for engagement between communities and scientists, creating opportunities for scientific research and processes to be informed and shaped by community voices. To date, few examples in the literature explore this in practice. Hence, key questions remain as to the role that communities play in this framework and the nature of and extent to which community voices and localised perspectives inform research and innovation. This paper explores how a collaborative community engagement process, facilitated at the outset, could meaningfully inform the establishment of a water quality testing facility. In Makhanda, a water-scarce region of South Africa, focus group discussions as well as site visits/observations integrated community and researcher knowledges to shape the community-engaged water testing facility. This study details how the daily assessment of water by the community provided valuable insights to the researchers on the nature and extent of factors affecting water quality and informed the sites and timing of water testing in subsequent scientific measurements of the same. Furthermore, it opened pathways to sustained, longer-term engagement between scientists and communities around water quality, highlighting the need for a multi-stakeholder focus to support community agency around access to safe water. This paper explores the integration of biotechnology and information technology within the pharmaceutical industry, developing a multidimensional digital health framework tailored for this sector. Utilizing the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) research model, we design a health service platform that amalgamates biotechnology, information technology, and digital technology to enhance the capacity building of pharmaceutical associations in Anhui Province. This platform facilitates the efficient collection, analysis, and application of biological data, enabling precise health management services tailored to the needs of the pharmaceutical industry. The architecture of this information system is crafted to cater to the digital health requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on improving performance and user satisfaction within industry associations. Experimental validation of the platform reveals an average response time of 145.125ms, ensuring rapid user feedback. The platform achieves a satisfaction rate of 98.3% regarding the richness of health concept knowledge, with high satisfaction rates across other evaluative metrics as well. The results confirm that the multidimensional digital health service platform is effectively applicable to the pharmaceutical sector within Anhui's industry associations. It demonstrates significant potential to support the development of personnel capacities within member enterprises, proving its value in fostering a more informed and capable pharmaceutical industry workforce. Striped catfish, Pangasianodon hypophthalmus is a native species to most Asian countries, including Malaysia which faced series of bacterial disease such as edwardsiellosis caused by E.ictaluri. Edwardsiella ictaluri is a Gram-negative intracellular bacterial pathogen which had caused mortalities in farmed or wild fish in lots of countries and accountable for large economic losses. This study was conducted to determine disease status of Pangasius spp due to Edwardsiella ictaluri and to determine the risk factors of E.ictaluri in striped catfish in Pahang River, Malaysia. Four sampling sites were chosen, two sites in Pekan (Kampung Belimbing and Kampung Tanjung Pulai) and two sites in Temerloh (Kampung Teluk Ira and Kampung Bintang). Thirty samples were collected from each farm for 6 months consecutively and four organ tissues were taken which were liver, spleen, kidney, and brain. External and internal clinical signs were recorded accordingly. DNA was extracted from all tissues and pursued for PCR to detect the presence of Edwardsiella ictaluri. Results show that the infected fish has gross internal clinical signs such as patchy liver, white nodular spleen, and congested kidney. The prevalence rate of E.ictaluri was highest at Kampung Tanjung Pulai in June with 16.67% compared to all farms. No infection of E.ictaluri shown at Kampung Belimbing during the whole sampling session. Spearman's rho correlation showed that the prevalence of E.ictaluri has strong correlation with temperature in Kampung Tanjung Pulai (p > 0.05). Meanwhile those bacteria prevalence have strong relationship with ammonia, sulfide and total suspended solid (TSS) with p< 0.05. The susceptible size for this bacterium in striped catfish is between 1 to 50g. The goal of the study was to develop necessary skills for B. Tech students through an undergraduate project in biotechnology. Understanding of biotechnology involves keen observation of results and asking systematic and logical questions to find out the causes of key observation. This paper introduces teaching and attainment of essential skills during execution of their final year project. The project was focused on identifying the significance of coelomic fluid (CF) of earthworm in plant tissue culture medium by using the model plant tobacco. Project outcomes are: understanding the purpose of an experiment, conducting experiments in basic and applied areas of biotechnology, interpretation of results and communicate clearly during viva-voce examination and documenting the results in a scientific way. Essential skills viz: reading and understanding the literature, how to design an experiment with proper controls, logical explanation of results and communication skills were evaluated every month by rubrics designed by investigators. Assessment was further done by feedback system and surveys from the students. The project outcomes were matched with essential skills and their attainment was measured. Based on the evaluation it is concluded that this research project-based learning helped students to develop essential skills such as designing of experiments, logical explanation of results, communication and documentation of their observations with a conclusion in a scientific way. This paper is addressed to recent theoretical discussions of the Anthropocene, in particular Bernard Stiegler's Neganthropocene (Open Universities Press, 2018), which argues: "As we drift past tipping points that put future biota at risk, while a post-truth regime institutes the denial of 'climate change' (as fake news), and as Silicon Valley assistants snatch decision and memory, and as gene-editing and a financially-engineered bifurcation advances over the rising hum of extinction events and the innumerable toxins and conceptual opiates that Anthropocene Talk fascinated itself with—in short, as 'the Anthropocene' discloses itself as a dead-end trap...". The objective of this paper is therefore twofold: (1) to discuss how the Anthropocene is appropriated to certain ideological discourses (paradoxically) to maintain the hegemony of precisely those systems of production that have most accelerated climate change etc.; (2) to consider how the factography of the Anthropocene is exploited in this process to mask the ideological character of industry-aligned "technocratic" environmental management. The paper is not concerned with specific case studies in terms of government and industry policy, or climate science, but rather with the ways in which the discourse of the Anthropocene has been inflected within the humanities and the broader cultural field—that is to say, ideologically, as a system or logic of meaning. How the Anthropocene "means" is, in this respect, a question of some importance. This paper does not attempt to address all the facets of this question, but focuses upon a central "apocalyptic" strain in the discourse of the Anthropocene drawn particularly from Francis Fukuyama's millennial posthumanism and centred in the question of "sustainability" as catastrophe management—with the risk that real environmental degradation will become an alibi for a revived neoliberalism. In other words, that the critical Earth system transformations that characterise the Anthropocene are themselves commodities, and that the project of their amelioration is in process of defining a future (opportunistic) "crisis" rhetoric with a global political franchise. The ideological import of the Anthropocene stems precisely from the fact that it is planetary and, while catalysed by human agency, independent in its specific behaviour from it. The Anthropocene objectively presents as the contemporary counterpart of the Cold War doctrine of Mutually Assured Destruction and the most compelling argument for a new kind of technological "arms race." But it also presents as the condition of an emerging ideological discourse which will determine how this race is run. From the discourse on "energy security" to the widespread "security crackdown" on environmental activists across the so-called developed & developing world, the Anthropocene has come to represent the co-option of a scientific factography for the thinly disguised resurgence of "ideological science" of the Fukuyamaesque variety (post-history, post-human). For Fukuyama, the true meaning of "posthuman" is thus the accomplishment of humanity's historical mission. As the "End of History" designates an end of ideological struggle, so too the dénouement of the Anthropocene and the "ends of man" represent the accomplished purpose of species warfare: dominion, not simply over the world, but over all possible worlds. According to this narrative, science—like technology—must be uniquely at the service of the maintenance of the global order, organised around a universal appeal to "crisis management." This paper examines the complex relationship between the evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data and the growth of the biopharmaceutical industry in Europe. It analyzes the perspectives of industry specialists to understand how AI and big data are transforming research, development, and strategy. The paper hypothesizes that adopting AI and big data indirectly promotes industry expansion, and that DevOps adoption challenges mediate while market optimization moderates this relationship. A quantitative methodology was used involving a survey of European biopharmaceutical experts. The analysis supported the hypothesis that using big data and AI adoption indirectly boosts industry growth. However, DevOps challenges were found not to significantly mediate this relationship. As hypothesized, market optimization was found to positively moderate the impact of AI adoption on growth. Municipal biowastes are conventionally treated by assessed anaerobic and aerobic fermentation to produce biogas, anaerobic digestate, and compost. Low-temperature hydrolysis and the oxidation of the digestate and compost, which are still at the experimental stage, are known to yield water-soluble value-added chemical specialities for use in different sectors of the chemical industry and in agriculture. The present paper reports the application of the two chemical reactions to the biowastes before fermentation. The products obtained in this manner are compared with those obtained from the chemical reactions applied to the fermented biowastes. Based on the experimental results, the paper discusses the expected environmental and economic benefits of the above chemical processes and products in comparison with the products obtained by other known biotechnologies for the valorisation of biomass as a feedstock for the biobased chemical industry. The results point out that a sustainable biowaste-based refinery that produces biofuel and biobased chemicals may be developed by integrating chemical and fermentation technologies. However, two competing rights stand in the way of legality of this practice. On the one hand, the right of a human embryo to development and life. On the other hand, the right of mankind to use all scientific means to fight more effectively against diseases and to receive organs and tissues for transplantation to improve the quality of life. Some researchers believe that human life, if regarded as a moral value, cannot be absolute. Aims and Objectives: This paper examines the relevant legislation on both international and national levels and the Spanish doctrine in terms of defining acts against genetics and evaluating effectiveness to criminalize them in order to ensure the balance between medical ethics and community best interests. Materials and Methods: This study is a description paper on gene-manipulation regulation in Spain, the EU and worldwide. It is based primarily on genetic, systematic-functional and systematization methods with regard to special legal ones.
